I’m not usually a steakhouse person, but Wolfgang’s has won me over. I’ll gladly return and recommend it to all my friends. It’s rare to find a steakhouse chain in the heart of NYC that feels as warm and welcoming as a family-owned restaurant. My friends got married at City Hall and chose Wolfgang’s for their post-ceremony dinner. From the moment we walked in, the staff went above and beyond, greeting us with complimentary champagne. To our surprise, the entire restaurant erupted into applause for several minutes, which really touched us. One table even sent over tequila shots. As for the food—it was outstanding. The porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection, flavorful and tender without needing any extra seasoning or sauce. The mashed potatoes and asparagus were equally delicious, and dessert was the perfect finish to an incredible meal. What really made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional service. Thank you, Wolfgang’s, for making my friends’ wedding celebration so special. We’ll cherish those memories forever.
We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse. We ordered the Porterhouse for Two (medium rare), a portion of sautéed mushrooms, two beers, a glass of sparkling wine, and an espresso. The total came to $250 including tax and tip, and every cent was worth it.The steak was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and flavorful, just as we remembered it. Our first visit to Wolfgang’s was five years ago at the Tribeca location in New York City. Ever since then, no other steak has ever compared to theirs. Tonight’s meal was just as extraordinary as it was back then. The highlight of the evening was the unexpected surprise of meeting Kenny, our waiter from Tribeca in 2019! We recognized him, and he recognized us too. Since he’s also from Europe, reconnecting with him felt like seeing an old friend. It made the evening even more special. Apart from Kenny, the rest of the staff was also incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional, which added to the overall experience.Being Christmas Eve, this dinner was truly memorable. Wolfgang’s Steakhouse exceeded our expectations once again. Top-notch service, exceptional food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.Highly recommend Wolfgang’s Steakhouse—it’s worth every penny!
Took service at the bar while we grabbed some drinks and were waiting - they were busy so not directly coming over to help serve but when we called them over they were quick and got our order in. Shrimp cocktail was ok. Mixed liquor drink was strong!Chips at the bar and fries were a good mix. Seating tight there - so mostly just standing around.
We celebrated my birthday dinner there. Reservation service was professional and also service staff was good and trained. My Steak was on-point and very delicious. We also had nice side dishes. It was a bit too loud there inside but okay.
I have eaten at different locations before. However, this time my steak was too salty. The gravy didn’t taste homemade & the entire meal wasn’t warm. I only stopped in after my wonderful theater experience seeing Wicked. The only great thing was the Newton red wine!
Everything and I do mean everything was absolutely delicious. The steaks were both seasoned perfectly and cooked exactly as we ordered them. I honestly can’t think of one negative thing to say, our server Kenny went above and beyond and well out of his way to make sure that we had a great experience. He was constantly coming back to the table, making sureeverything was in order. ( Pro tip ) order the thick Canadian bacon and drizzle some of the WOLFGANG ZWIENER-Old Fashioned Sauce this definitely brings it to the next level. This place is a must try. Everything that was brought to the table was fresh and delicious.
In Manhattan with my girlfriend, and we were looking for somewhere on the nicer side to grab dinner. She was doing some Googling and landed on Wolfgangs which was close, and immediately made reservations. We arrived a little early, and they had no problem seating us ahead of time. Dining room had a nice modern feel, with a massive wine collection displayed on the back wall. It was a bit loud, but it wasnt a problem and just seemed like everyone was happy to be there and having a great time. Our server Sahrudin was amazing! Attentive and funny. We both opted for the filet mignon, mine medium and hers medium well. Mine may have been the most perfect medium Ive ever received. Both steaks were juicy and incredibly well seasoned. We decided on onion rings as our side dish, and they were incredible as well. Thin and lightly breaded, and had a bit of a kick to them. We ended up deciding to split two desserts and chose the creme brulé and a slice of key lime pie. Both desserts were house made and came with house made whipped cream and a giant strawberry. No surprise, both desserts were also excellent! We cannot say enough good about Wolfgangs and our meal has been the highlight of our trip so far.
The location feels a little more casual, but still the food, the service were excellent.
We treated our friends who never have had real dry age steak before here, firstly because Keens was fully booked for the week they were in town. We went to the Wolfgang’s in Somerville NJ multiple times (for wedding anniversaries and random lunch), and that one has been mediocre (hostess was sometimes rude). But it turned out to be a great experience at this location!!! Both my friends were amazed by how good the steak was! The side orders were also very impressive. I love how the creamed spinach was not salty at all and was not cream-based (as it should not be). The French fries, I have to say, when my friend ordered it, I was like, why. Then, look at them, so crispy but also soft inside. Such a great compliment to the dry age steak and all the veggies. Four of us pretty much finished everything, and we were so full. Definitely good portion for the price paid. Towards the end, their fire alarm was wrongly set off. When the fire trucks arrived, my friend was so excited and took so many photos with the fireman. Their location is one of the most convenient, not too far away from Keens or Penn Station. When we were waiting for my husband to arrive to be seated, they served us freshly made potato chips on house at the waiting area. Nice people. And our waiter was very funny. He always had jokes on what we asked him about the menu. When the fire alarm set off, he said: drinks on me next time! Lol. Strongly recommend this Wolfgang’s.
We decided to check out Wolfgang restaurant in NY and it did not disappoint. The Resturant’s atmosphere was classy and upscale. The steak was cooked to perfection. The Wolfgang sauce was very flavorful. Our waiter Edon was very friendly and knowledgeable. He really went above and beyond for us with his service. We really enjoyed the service of everyone, they were so attentive. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who planning on visiting NY. 5 out of 5 star!
General Manager Hamo was extremely rude. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time but ended up waiting for almost 50 minutes. All the Asian guests were grouped together in one area, and there wasn’t even a single word of apology. Instead, he confidently said, “I’m trying my best, so what are you going to do about it?” It felt discriminatory and deeply disrespectful.
Stake was amazing but I think some servers were rude. Might visit other place next time.
The service and ambiance are great. I was here 2 years ago and the meat was also great. However, this time I was very disappointed from the level of the grillman. Probably its not the same person. I asked for a medium-well stake. The first time, it was burnt outside and rare inside. I asked to replace it and advised the shift manager to open the meat piece in the middle to make it easier to get to the same level. I got another piece, this time it was well done. I expect from an establishment at this level much better performance. The waiter was kind enough to see my agony, got me a second wine glass on the house, which I gladly accepted, and offered me a free dessert, which I politely refused.I am not sure if I will give this place a second chance...
Old-School Steakhouse in Need of ImprovementWhen it comes to legendary steakhouses in New York, Wolfgang’s is one of the first names that comes to mind. Originally from the West Coast and with a history spanning over half a century, it’s built quite the reputation. So when my client suggested we go there, I agreed without hesitation. It was a Thursday night, and we were a party of nine—lucky to get a table without a wait. We kept things simple for the server by ordering Porterhouse for everyone (medium rare), two orders of onion rings, two orders of fries, salads all around, and, of course, some wine. The salads arrived within about 10 minutes—fresh but unremarkable. However, the disappointment started after that. We were left waiting for nearly 45 minutes with no sign of our main courses. Some in our group were frustrated by the long wait.I understand that cooking steak to the right temperature takes skill and time, but when we politely asked the server for an update, the response we received was shockingly rude: “You just have to wait; it comes when it comes,” followed by the server walking away. I was stunned by the unprofessionalism. When the steaks and sides finally arrived, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The steak was tough and lacked juiciness, which was surprising. As a meat lover who’s enjoyed Japanese Wagyu, Korean cuts, and other top American steakhouses, this was the first time I experienced jaw fatigue from a steak. The sides were decent—the onion rings and fries were crispy without being overly hard—but they couldn’t make up for the disappointing main course.Overall, Wolfgang’s felt overpriced and overrated. The unfriendly service left a lasting impression, but not in a good way.
Steak might as well have been cooked at a college dorm... Outside charred, inside raw. Chef Wolfgang has done a wonderful job in creating a place for unsuspecting tourists and for the Americans with visual disabilities to feel as if they received a premium experience.
Everything was absolutely delicious! I enjoyed the night with my sweet heart and will love to visit again. I recommend making reservations as I did. The porter house was nicely smoked, full of flavor, and tender. The lamb chops, creamed spinach, and asparagus were perfect. The lobster mac was ok. The drinks were perfect and sneaky. The white zifindale wine was so nice but the lychee martini was amazing in other words strong but good. The tables come with 2 varieties of bread which was good too.
The food was really delicious, and the service was excellent until I got the bill. However, it was extremely, extremely, extremely, extremely unpleasant that the waiter fixed the tip and gave us the bill. The tip was set at 20%, but tips are not mandatory. I never said I wouldn’t leave a tip. It was really unpleasant.
The Sliced Beefsteak Tomato And Onion salad ended me. I would appreciate it if I was explained in detail how it would look like, and it definitely is not worth the price on the menu. *Photo of the rest of the salad featured 3 slices of tomato. Steak was good.
Best steak ever!!We ordered porterhouse steak and sautéed mushrooms for two ppl. Appetizer bread comes out cold (different from other steakhouses) but they warmed it up when I asked. Great food great atmosphere. Worth to try.
It was so nice and delicious The waiter and chef were really kind and the steak was awesome. And I love the soup I ate. It was a “Lobster Bisque”.👍 I ordered “cajun ribeye steak”.
Amazing food and service. My waiter was knowledge and answered all my questions.Great filet
Attended a graduation event and the food was ordered A bit too red for me but it was good.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
Best steak ever. Got the filet and I wasnt disappointed. I will say if there are 2 of you - you can share this steak as it is approx 16 oz
4.5 is the evaluation the restaurant deserves as the stakes and the lamb chops were great!!! But the firsts and the side dishes need more style and taste!
The best porthouse ever.... .excellent steak house and fantastic service ....a must visit .....one if the best in nyc
Very Disappointed.I was in NYC for a conference and we made a reservation for a dinner together. The service was poor at best. For a high end restaurant I expect High end service. Our table was almost in the kitchen and those sitting on that side of the table were bumped several times. We had a reservation and they did not have the table when we arrived and I would say it was the worst table in the restaurant. The waiters (2 total) spilled water on one of our individuals and also hit that same person in the head. They also spilled water and ice on the table when refilling the water glasses. When our entrees were ready they auctioned off the food. This is a Huge pet peeve of mine at any restaurant but especially when you are paying $100/ head.Several of us ordered the filet mignon and whether it was ordered medium or MR they all were cooked to MR.When serving the sides they were reaching across people to serve others at the table and did not ask if you wishes more or less and just plopped it on the plate. They insisted on serving the sides and then only served 3 of the 5 sides. The sides were just OK honestly, I have had so much better. We had the creamed spinach, not really creamed. The Brussel sprouts were average and plain. The Lobster Mac and cheese was mediocre at best, the mashed potatoes were bland and average, mine are better. The onion rings were ok. The mushrooms were also nothing special and had onions in them. The dipping sauce for the Filet Mignon was too thick and salty.Once are food was served our service stopped, no one came back and we had to flag them down to receive the bill. They never cleared the cocktail glasses we had to start our experience.I would NOT recommend this restaurant. So many excellent restaurants in NYC. This place fell Well Short, especially for the cost.
Wow! What a great steak! And when I say great, I mean both the great taste and also the great (large) size. Absolutely perfectly prepared and seasoned.
An excellent option for a good quality steak in busy Broadway on a Cold Christmas afternoon on vacation with loved ones. Would have given them 5Stars if the place was better cleaned.
Nice staff, great dishes!! But It would have been better if the bread was warm.
The experience I expected (especially for $400) was definitely not the one I received. My partners steak was undercooked and the server could not have cared less about us. We asked to pace the courses, as we were celebrating an event. The steak came out before the salad was even removed. The asparagus was overcooked, and the thick stems were included and rubbery. The server was barely attentive, and our checks were delivered before the steaks were taken off the table to be boxed. The hosts and the bussers were great! My steak was very very good.
The steak is so delicious, it is one of the best flavors I have ever tasted. The environment and services are of high quality, and the price is relatively high.
Enjoyed our lunch here on Christmas Day, wonderful and friendly staff in a lovely restaurant with excellent food
I had a reservation for the wrong date but the staff was super accommodating and still seated our large group, even with a surprise additional two diners. Service throughout the meal was exceptional and the food was fantastic, all steaks cooked exactly to order, the sides all delicious! Thank you Wolfgangs Stakehouse staff for taking such good care of us, well definitely be back!
Fantastic restaurant and steakhouse🥩 posh atmosphere yet the price are reasonable👏🏻 You’ve got to try the fillet steak👌🏻
Great meal and wait staff at the Wolfgang Steakhouse at 1359 Broadway in NYC. Meal was prepared to our requests, and the portions were large. Would definitely eat there again next visit to NYC
My favorite steakhouse of all time. Constantly amazed on how delicious everything is and service is always top notch.
Really pleased with the food and service. There are some places in the city where you can still have dinner in a quiet and charming athmosphere. At WOLFGANGS STEAKHOUSE, you will find dedicated service and really good food options.Everyone in that restaurant is ready to respond to your requests, even if you describe what you are looking for and is not part of the menu, they will re-create it for you!!!The food is amazing, everything you request is presented to you with professionalism and care. The prices are not low, BUT, really fair if you consider the plates you receive. The WOLFGANGS STEAKHOUSE, is the perfect place to go if you are looking for a business diner in a very professional athmosphere.Very well done WOLFGANGS STEAKHOUSE Team!!!
Amazing food, portions massive compared to UK standards. Waiter wasn’t rude but also wasn’t the politest.
The wait staff were kind and attentive.Few complaints about the food: the Brussels sprouts were so incredibly salty I found myself drinking water after each bite and still needed water after the meal. Creamed spinach wasnt the best, it tasted quite bitter.Mashed potatoes were seasoned nicely, steak was cooked and seasoned well.Would expect more quality control on the food, given the restaurants price point.
Place and service is good. But this place is a rip off. I have been here several times. Every time I noticed the servers are more interested in charging and ripping customers off more than leaving them with good dining experience. Out of many let me state 2 common experiences. 1/ If you happen to choose a less expensive wine from the menu, the waiter would come back and say sorry sir we are out of this wine and would recommend a more expensive wine and when you insist you don’t want, miraculously they find a bottle of wine you wanted. 2/ when I specifically ordered a single malt 12 years, they served me 18 year old and charged me for it. It is an intentional rip off. Please stay away from this place. I find this place a rip off than serving honestly. Don’t visit.
Unforgettable dining experience. Dont worry about wine selection. They have 400 wines to choose from. I asked for a little help for wine selection and the manager there did a really good recommendation!Dried aged ribeye was delicious. It was juicy and cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare. The portion was good!!! We shared desserts of ice cream and key lime pie...they were awesome!!! I kept chatting with my old friends and enjoying the food...forgot to take pictures 😂
THE BEST STEAK I have ever had. My wife and I shared a porterhouse for 2 which is more than two people should eat but was too good to waste so I finished it (to our waiters surprise). Top notch service and lovely atmosphere but not pretentious. Its #1 on my list of things to do next time Im in the area. Pricey but worth every cent.
Quality beef and sides with mediocre service and touristy ambiance.
Very good service, amazing food! Kenny is our server, he’s amazing!
I dined with my son, and this was our first time in NYC. We were celebrating his callback for Broadway. I reserved a table ahead of time and asked for a great location and comfy atmosphere. I think we might’ve had the best table in the place! The atmosphere was top notch, modern, and classy! Our hostess, Layla, was a doll! Our servers Ylli and Kenny were AMAZING, friendly, and attentive! Our dinner was so delicious; one of the best we’ve had. My son had the sirloin steak, and I had the yellowfin tuna. Both were cooked perfectly per Ylli’s recommendation at medium rare….excellent!! We had such a wonderful time, and Ylli, Layla, and Kenney even agreed to take a few photos with us to document the occasion.🥰 Thanks for such a fun night!!!💕💕💕
Always worth a visit as the steaks are always cooked perfectly. Great service and always very welcoming. One of the best out there
Kenny, our server was excellent, and he helped us planning for the meal so well served. However, the quality of meal can be improved for the price.overall, we loved our meal
The food was amazing! The atmosphere was impressive, but the service provided by our waiter Kenny was above and beyond! He was very patient and professional answering questions the many questions that we had about the menu items,he made sure all the way through our meal that we were enjoying it and happy. Great waiter all the way around. Excellent customer service provided
Great place, highly recommend. We were seated right away and immediately greeted by our server. Our server was very attentive throughout dinner and our glasses were never empty. The food came out cooked to perfection. I had the Ribeye and my date had the lambchops. Both were delicious. We had the Tartufo for dessert. The atmosphere was great. Nice chill music playing in the background and it wasnt too busy so we didnt hear conversation from other tables. Overall, 5 stars! We will be back.
1- Food 5/5. Like I said in my other location review of Wolfgangs. There steak is definitely top 3 in all New York. Cooked to perfection and aged perfectly. Seafood platter was fresh and all sides were delicious.2 - Service 5/5. What we expect from a top tier restaurant in Manhatten. Nothing more nothing less.3 - Ambiance 5/5. Beautiful restaurant with big tables and clean bathroom’s.4 - Reservations 5/5 located near Madison Square Garden, so if there is a Rangers or Knicks game this place will be swamped. Other than that reservations are available easily.5 - Value 5/5. Wolfgang’s is definitely one of the best steakhouses in Manhattan. All around great food, service and Ambiance. We will definitely return and recommend.
Impeccable! Food, drinks and service went above and beyond, and the ambiance was spot on. Will come back any time.
Wolfgang’s is a typical old school NY steak house. If you’re looking for an authentic experience, this is the place to go. The steaks were excellent, the veggies quite good but the salad was a little watery for my liking. The only reason we didn’t give this a 5 star rating was because the waiter took a 15 minute break for a sit down with the boss with no one covering for him. We’ll be back.
Superior Service. Excellent food. Great location.
Popped in for after work drinks. Bar service was quick and very friendly
Delicious steak & sides and a wonderful atmosphere. Thanks, we‘ll come back for sure!
Awesome food and impeccable service. What more do you need for a special dinner in NYC. Our group of 3 had the caesar salad, porterhouse steak for 2, grilled salmon and shared sides of the grilled asparagus, steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. The porterhouse steak, cooked to medium rare, was amazing.
Our last lunch and meal in New york.Food was great and service of Deniz was excellent.Wolfgang doesn’t offer warm bread by the policy. Bread was fresh but a bit cold. We requested warm bread and Deniz fulfilled our request.Wolfgang needs to reconsider serving ‘ fresh but cold ‘ bread policy.
We were walking in Manhattan NYC streets last July when found the elegant Wolfgangs Stakehouse restaurant at 41st street so decided to walk inside and were really pleased that the hostess seated us in a unique frontline table although we had no prior reservation. We enjoyed the elegant dining atmosphere while we wore casual attire; the food quality and quantity were beyond amazing and extremely delicious. I ordered tasty salmon and the piece was really big. My husband ordered ribs which also were in big portion and it is really recommended for meat lovers. Thanks to the professional and friendly waiters who took great care and attention to each table and will definitely come back again when visiting NYC to try more dishes.Updated
I was celebrating a friends’ birthday and Danny made our dinner exceptional! He was very attentive, making sure we enjoyed our drinks and meal. I would come back for the food but especially the service!
It was the best filet mignon I’ve ever had. Thank you for thoughtfully serving the soup separately. There was a slight issue, but the manager handled it excellently. If you’re looking to enjoy a proper steak in New York, I highly recommend this place.
The best steak I’ve ever eaten. It’s expensive, but worth it!
It was my first time coming here. It is just below Times Square as you move towards Herald Square. The decor of the restaurant was upscale and the bar was stocked appropriately. The food was good especially the Crab cakes which were scrumptious. The service was on par for a steakhouse as you keep your hands off those hot plates. So if you are in the Midtown area hanging out near Times Square then visit Wolfgangs Steakhouse.
Great staff and amazing steaks. Food was super good and pricing was great. Meat was cooked to perfection and our waiter went above and beyond for us. Will come back!
Food is fine, $300 with tips, ordered 2 sides and 2 glasses of wine and porterhouse for 2. Not sure if it worth the price, especially when you reversed a seat but got arranged the narrows seats for 2. other parties of 2 walk in, come after us getting a 4 spacious 4 seaters. I dont get it.also no complimentary dessert for special occasions when all other tables have it.Well, at food is better than Bobbys. Classic nyc service. No next time
I love this place. Great atmosphere. Good food. Great service. I would love to visit again...
Went here for my wife’s 30th bday just this last week. Googled “best steak nyc” and this place came up. When we got there (close to opening) we were served bread comparable to a week old “fresh” loaf from Walmart. Very cold and hard. We ordered crab cake ( which was good) as well as the thick cut bacon. Had we stopped there, this experience would have been mediocre at best. I ordered the ribeye (which was underwhelming) wife ordered filet that was okay. All this to say, that our 550$ bill was not worth it, and in no way could this have been the best steak in nyc.
Kenny welcomed us like old friends, which as of tonight we aspire to become. Truly a wonderful experience.
Excellent food and service. Porterhouse is the way to go! Their bread isn’t great, though. But imo they have the best key lime pie I’ve ever tried
I had a wonderful experience with my family dining in Wolfgang,The food was delicious but the service was even better , Benny was our server great recommendations and very professionalThank you very much for a wonderful experienceSee u again soon
Great little spot. We’ve never really been to a steakhouse of this calibre but we had an enjoyable meal. No complaints on the food or service but I would probably try a different steakhouse next time for some more comparison. 2 steaks, 2 sides, 1 beer, 1 dessert we spent over $300CAD.
I love Wolfgang’s steak. I love that each location has different interior designs. Fine dining and yet friendly and modern at the same time. Pricey normal NY style is to be expected.
Great place if you want something high class but not ridiculously expensive. Steak is excellent and the dessert is excellent. Highly recommend with a group of 4 or more and split things amongst each other
Great steaks and good service. Make a reservation! Can be a little loud! Awesome signature drinks.
The food was delicious and the service was amazing! I had a great experience at this Wolfgang’s location!
Amazing restaurant if you want that special treat
Had afternoon brunch lots of staff, talking in the back not attentive to customers. Steak was super small in comparison to six months ago when a steak could serve two! very disappointing with my recent visit…since I’ve always had a great experience in the past.
Service was good and attentive. Food was very good. Only complaint was filet which was ordered medium plus and was probably medium rare plus. The NY sirloin I ordered medium rare was cooked perfectly.
The prime top sirloin steak was not up to par with other prime steak I have had/ bought. Reception was attentive but server seemed a bit indifferent and/or annoyed. Wine that i choose(syrah- granache blend, was oxidized and seemed stale. Also ordered tomatoes and mozzarella which was priced at $ 25 and was like cardboard.I have been at other Puck restaurants and have had much better food. Disappointing at best.
I stopped by this location last week for lunch since I am a fan of this restaurant chain. The food and service at this location is absolutely impeccable. The food and drinks can be a bit costly, but it is worth every penny. I highly recommend and will be sure to come back.
Writing this review has taken more thought and care than any exam or task I can remember. The experience at Wolfgang’s Broadway isn’t just something to review—it’s something I want to honor, especially the remarkable people who made our visit unforgettable.First, the food. This was, hands down, the best filet mignon I’ve ever had. Wolfgang’s has mastered their craft, serving meat that’s of the highest standard, cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. But the food, incredible as it is, pales in comparison to the true stars of the evening: the staff. Food will always taste better with exceptional people around you, and the team here redefines that statement. The individuals at Wolfgang’s Broadway are truly remarkable. What sets them apart? Humility, warmth, and an almost instinctual empathy. The staff here see you. No matter who you are, they understand that, for some, this could be the most memorable night of their lives. And if there’s any doubt, they’ll go the extra mile to make it feel that way, treating every guest with care that goes beyond mere service. As a Scotsman, I’ve fallen in love with NYC and its unique magic. This city is built on the dreams of millions of immigrants who once saw the Statue of Liberty and dared to believe in a better life. The staff at Wolfgang’s are part of that tradition. They are America, living examples of how this country was built through hard work, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to service. To each of you at Wolfgang’s Broadway, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If it’s God’s will, we will meet again.Faleminderit! With deep gratitude,Steven and Anne
We only had appetizers but the sizzling bacon was tpp notch!
I was having a party in my mouth the entire night. The atmosphere was relaxing and my pallet could taste every ingredient that was incorporated into my cosmopolitan the citrus was causing me to blush with every sip. The Brussel sprouts were lightly salted. I enjoyed every bite of my Filet mignon that was prepared med rare was so juicy 😋One issue....treat everyone the same!!It was time to go we had food left over and needed a to go bag .Now as seen all around the resturant you see Wolfgang steakhouse bags being presented to the other customers for theyre to go items, but me and my date we were neglected. After waiting 10 mins after paying my date went to enquiry about the food. My 65 dollar steak was sitting by the cash rap next to us stuffed in a small aluminum pan with the paper lid with a I Love New york Plastic bag as if i came into a tourist NYC gift shop My food spilled out into the plastic bag because the food tray wasnt closed properly.Give everyone the same treatment. Because Im sure if I had the to go bag like everyone else it would of never spilled and if you didnt have anymore that could of been explained as well.
I think it goes without saying you must get a steak here when visiting—one of the best I’ve ever had. Didn’t care for their $25 salad, was not worth it at all. Other than that I enjoyed our dinner here
Never make a reservation exact 4pm. The staff are negligent in serving because they are eating. And the server was blunt. The reason I give it 4 stars is simply because the steak was delicious.
Solid upscale steakhouse. A bit pricey and a touch noisy for my own preferences. But steaks were cooked to perfection, sides/desserts were delicious, and service was exemplary.
Wolfgangs is a very nice steakhouse with multiple locations in Manhattan. This location in had more modern decor than the others Ive been to, but it also has been awhile since Ive been to the other locations and they may have updated. Our steaks was a tad underseasoned but overall very nice piece of beef. The sides we got, mushrooms and asparagus were very good as well. Make sure you get the bacon appetizer if this is your first time. Personally I prefer Keens when I am seeking red meat been in the city.
First time meeting with a client for lunch in 18 months. This was a perfect place to do it too. Plenty of space for social distancing, they have sheltered outside areas as well. The Cajun ribeye was perfect. And oh... That bacon appetizer! Wait staff was personable and attentive as always.
The place is spacious and has great decor, their whine cellar is a huge and has such a great selection of whines to choose from. I went here for my wife birthday dinner celebration, made reservations just hours before the same day and submitted a reservation online with special requests about it being her birthday. Request got accepted almost immediately, which is awesome! We went in 5 min earlier then our reservation and got seated right away. We had sea food platter for 2 and the porter house steak for 2! Sides were macaroni with lobster and German potatoes; food and service was outstanding! I’d highly recommend this steak house.
We ordered the porterhouse for the two of us and it was cooked perfectly medium rare. Did not need any extra seasoning or steak sauce. The onion rings, lobster mac and cheese, and creamed spinach were both delicious. My husband was a fan of their thick cut Canadian bacon. One of the best steakhouses Ive been to.
Excellent service and food. Start off at the Bar and then be seated for a world class dining.Aged porterhouse excellent choice for 2.The bacon is meh.Asparagus is to die for.The cocktails on point!Definitely coming back!
The best PorterHouse Ive had. Along with great sides such as German Potatoes, Lobster Mac&Cheese and oysters. Kenny is an amazing waiter and great person.
Came here for dinner w/ friends. Vibe is classic. Food was great—we had the porterhouse for two along w/ mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Also had the Canadian bacon as an appetizer. The Old Fashioned I had was decent but lacked the alcohol and was a bit too sweet for my taste. Service was generally OK but they kept asking if we were done, as if they had wanted us to leave soon—dinging a star because of that. 20% gratuity is included in your bill (we were a party of three).
My second time coming here, pleased both times and will come back again.
I love it here!Luxury atmosphere! Great menu option! Perfect location! Variety range of choices in wine! And of course you CAN NOT miss the DRYAGED steaks! They also offering outdoor and indoor dine-in!Walk-in welcome! One of the best MEDIUM-RARE steak i’ve ever had. Seasoning to the perfection! Dont forget to get the side of Sautéed Onion!Crab Cake is on point!
We went on Christmas. My husband entered before my son and I and he specifically asked if they could seat us for appetizers, drinks and dessert. My husband mentioned we had a young child. The hostess (a female) said yes, no problem. My husband came outside to get my son & I. When we went back in, a man, whom I’m assuming is a manager told us no, they could not seat us if we weren’t planning on having dinner, even though the restaurant appeared to be more than half empty. We we’re not only NOT dressed like slobs, we were dressed nicely, so I can’t imagine that was the issue. Anyway, the restaurant missed out on what probably would have been a $200+ check, the server missed out on a 50% tip (it’s Christmas, we’re generous on holidays), and the restaurant lost returning customers. And you can bet we will tell our friends to NOT go here; this is NYC, there are SO many good restaurants that never bat an eye at a family of three spending money at their establishment, regardless of what we order. For the restaurant’s sake, I hope they get over their pretentious attitude.
Food was amazing and plentiful, dish size was more than enough. Service was above and beyond. We really enjoyed our experience there! We will definitely visit there again next time we are in New York!
Our dinner was simply delicious and service was amazing! True dining professionals! Thanks for the hospitality!
One of the most impressive wine lists in the city, if not the country. Serious wine lovers will be in paradise.
One of the saddest restaurant experiences I’ve had. It was nearly empty, which made sense because their music was a mixed pop playlist on Spotify with ads, the food was bland after 5 minutes, and the other guests walked in with flip flops and beach wear. Perhaps it’s the location itself, but I expected more for a several hundred dollar meal.
Excellent food and service. Nice private enclosure to keep out the elements. Had a great time.Free bread was of the typical sort. Came with butter. For appetizers we had the osyter and Canadian bacon. Blue point oysters were fresh. Thick bacon was grilled nicely. Fatty and a nice way to start the meal.Steak, porterhouse T-Bone for two. Medium rare. Came on a hot plate. Very tender on either side of the bone. Beefy old school steakhouse flavor. For sides, we had the sauteed spinach, sauteed mushrooms, and lobster mac and cheese. All very excellent.Very good attentive service even in the outdoor enclosure. Great experience overall. Was very satisfied with food and service.
Weve been to other Wolfgang locations all over Manhattan and as with others, this one did not disappoint, taking in fact that this is the newest Wolfgangs in Manhattan. We were seated in timely manner, greeted by hostesses and managers who gave us table right on time.Service was excellent, waiters were friendly, with a touch of humor, and food was just amazing!Sides are pretty big and porterhouse is a must !Will definitely come back, as this one is closest to us !Keep it up,Kevin.
Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Definitely added to one of my top restaurants to visit when Im in NYC.
Food and wine is grossly overpriced and staff are too pretentious. There are many better options for good food in NYC.
Great spot and great location not far from Penn Station area. Food is top notch and staff is very friendly and efficient.
I ordered a medium well steak and it was charred and clearly overly well done...the Manger made me another, but it came out the same way? Cook clearly has trouble tempering the steaks. Definitely appreciate the fact that the manager didnt charge me for the meal, but what I wanted was a good steak and they did not deliver. Bartender was 👍
The crab cakes are unforgettable
Wow. Amazing location and the food was incredible. The staff was absolutely on point. Best service I have received in a long time.
An overall fave of mine...BDAY Lunch and Xmas Holiday Lunch waz great!
How come you would burn a medium steak!! Waiter asked if I liked it , I wanted to be polite and said so so.He did not even ask for the reason.Ordered 3 ribeyes, they served 3 tbones. Not worth coming here. Too pricy for such a low quality of food and service.
Wonderful first class NY Steakhouse experience. We were seated in the front corner next to the wait stand, not perfect, but the service was very attentive. There was no doubt we would get the Porterhouse for Two. Perfectly aged, seasoned, prepared and enormous. The staff served the pre-sliced portions on our plates, along with our sides of the German potatoes (highly recommend) and creamed spinach. We shared french onion soup and creme brulee for appetizer and dessert. Total bill and tip with two alcoholic drinks was $300. Well worth it!
Wolfgang’s has been our favorite and top steakhouse for quite some time. This location in specific is very spacious and has great decor. It’s our go to and always a must stop location when in NY. Last night we came for dinner and was very fond of our waiters Tommy G and Emir. Everything we requested was presented with professionalism, care and perfectly cooked. Great food, great drinks, great service, number of options on the menu, extremely friendly staff and very welcoming. They truly never disappoint. 10/10 recommended - Very well done Wolfgang’s steakhouse team!
Food was delicious service was amazing for party of 25 not one hiccup
Always great! Food is wonderful. Service is tremendous. They just got very busy. But never overlooked their customers.
Good food
Got the sea bass and shared the seafood platter. The sea bass was great juicy and tender with plenty of flavor. Service was great with multiple staff serving us. Busy night in the middle of the week but still got good service and food.
Very good food snd service. The price was very expensive, way over the top hamburgers 🍔 for lunch was even expensive.
Love how the place is looking and also love the food good and yeasty
A waste of time. I arrived at 6:45pm for my reservation and i am still waiting 15 minutes later. Place is overbooked and really loud. Food cant make up for the lack of service and ambiance
Steak was great, Lobster Mac and cheese was somewhat fishy (expected to some extent). Great experience, definitely recommend.
Amazing food and service!
Talk about excellent service. The entire staff was waiting on my wife and I hand and foot. If you want to find out what royalty feels like this is the closest shot. The steaks are to die for. Bring your wallet this place is expensive.
Delicious foodGood atmosphereVery expensive
What an incredible place. The atmosphere, the service AND THE FOOD. Just wow...If youre in town and want a great experience with meat, prioritize going here.Definitely book a table in advance since the place filled up faster than our Appetizer came out 😂
A meltdown experience the best and most delicious meat in town!!i highly recommend!!
Excellent pre-show meal. Close to MSG. Great prices, attentive service, delicious drinks.
Amazing!! We ate here on Thanksgiving and everything was fabulous! My only disappointment is that I cant remember our waiters name because he deserves some special recognition!
Hamo said he demands to see papers for a service dog, he is not allowed to ever ask to see papers because that’s discrimination! When I called in to ask his last name he denied he asked for papers and he wouldn’t give me his last name! Get a real manager and stop allowing these people to deny a service animal.
The taste of the food and the quality of the service were great! I want to come here again!
Its mediocre and doesnt fall in the high end restaurant group. The place its nice but overall its not worth the price. And they will charge you the gratuity without tell you. So just pay attention for what you pay for
Great service and amazing food.
Great experience to eat, world wide chefs go to this place to learn how to cook a good meat!
Service was absolutely great, meat - rather average, I ordered a ribeye and it was not as tasty and properly cooked as in some other NYC steak houses. Salad though was great, but I was there for a steak. Atmosphere of a very traditional steak house, light is good, wall of wine bottles is quite impressive.
We decided to go to Wolfgang on the last day in NYC for dinner as they accepted walk-in so we waited about 10 mins to be seated. The food was okay (we are not too sure why it is so famous and expensive) but the service was awful. They hostess dropped our belongings but never apologized and she even spilled the water on my jacket when we requested for water refill, felt it was very unprofessional. It was good to check out once but we will never go back, it was overpriced for everything we have paid for.
Delicious food...huge portions! Incredible wait staff who were busting there butts. Great date for dinner and drinks.
Bear with me – classy, classier, the classiest, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse! The franchise has multiple locations all over New York, and although I’m a regular on the one on Broadway, all of them provide top-end dining. And top-level takeout. The menu is the definition of a classic. Soups, steaks, chops, salads, with enough diversity to satisfy every diet need and enough class to fit a king!My go-to dishes usually are Beverly Hills Chopped Salad, Petite Filet Mignon (Mushroom Sauce), Or Veal Chop Broiled or Breaded Milanese, but I occasionally grab a Seared Yellowfin Tuna Or Linguine With Seafood. The dinner menu is a whole lot different, with sliced beefsteak tomato and onion, prime ny sirloin steak, and littleneck clams on the half shell. If you’re on a hurry, then grab a sandwich. The lunch menu has some excellent Wolfgangs Steak Sandwich and a Classic Burger.A cool feature of Wolfgang’s are the gift cards. They never expire and can be redeemed at any given time by the recipient. You just need to select an amount between $100 and $500. That way you can gift someone with a superb evening in one of the best places in the heart of New York City!
Tasty steak and friendly staffs
Its Thanksgiving in the US and as 2 Aussie travellers who basically decided to wing it for dinner, Im actually glad we stumbled upon this restaurant, knowing nothing about it prior.About 20 min earlier, we had stopped by the practically empty (at the time) one on 31st and were told no walk-ins. But, there was no offer even to see if a table for 2 might be available later to reserve, so we moved on.Fast forward to our discovery of the Wolfgangs on Broadway.Contrary to others comments - Its not Wolfgang Puck, no. But WP is not the only Wolfgang in the world and doesnt have sole rights to the name.Instead, these Wolfgangs Steakhouses are a brand of their own and from what I saw tonight, they are a team of elegantly coordinated servers, working together, to give the diner the very best of every moment and every bite. Now, Im one of those Aussies who was raised on backyard BBQs where half the time your steak was either charcoals or still mooing, so sauces were always necessary to get through it!But Wolfgangs has the perfect steak formula, finetuned down to a perfectly refined art form.I didnt even consider the need for any flavour enhancement like a sauce. I barely touched my delicious, fresh juiced OJ as I ate my steak.... I didnt want for ANYTHING to take away the melting, delicacy that I was savouring with every bite. From the first bite, to the very last, this was honestly the best steak I have ever eaten. It had a simple, slightly salty seasoning on either side, which was the perfect balance of flavour. Plus as a cooked medium steak, it was perfectly done.At the time the meal was served, it was like watching a broadway production of its own, as 3 waiters quickly adjusted our table layout, setting before us as they served the perfect first portions of the steak & our sides.A tip for anyone who is not familiar with dining in the US; the volume/size of which a plate is served, seems to be much bigger here than anywhere else.A side dish, often could be shared by upto 4 people and also, if the menu say Appetisers, Entrees, but no mention of Mains - its likely that what is called an Entree in the US, will be the size of a main meal in other countries.Anyway, we did polish off as much as we could and felt like we literally rolled back to our hotel lolThe whole experience really was unforgettable and a beautiful reminder of how simplicity can be divine in the right environment. Our veges were cooked, exactly how we requested and while to some that may sound bland, to us it allowed the core ingredients to speak for themselves.I would happily hire just one chef who has this capability, than a dozen who can make a good mushroom sauce or red wine jus any day.Thankyou so much to the team for making our night so perfect. We WILL be sure to tell our friends!
Mmmm bacon. Lamb chops were very good too.
I ate the rib eye this timeWas really good, but the PORTERHOUSE is the best!I like the Pino Noir, really good and lightEveryone was really nice! Ill be back again for sure ♥️
I mean its exactly what you would expect. Wait staff is polite and professional. Steaks are cooked perfectly. Expensive, but youre in Manhattan. Go with the caprese salad and the steak of your choice and thank me later.
Bread was plain cold. Must have been left out for so long. Food was commercial level and average. Waiter demanded a bigger tip even though we were not happy with the food.
Impeccable service without feeling like you are being pressured. Fantastic wine selection with a brilliant sommelier who assisted with choosing the perfect wine to accompany the porterhouse. Amazing quality of steak as well, faultless!
Really had much higher expectations with Wolfgangs name attached to this place. Food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth what they charge.
Love you guys! All personal so attentive and helpful! Good food and cocktails!
My daughter had been raving about this place and I see why! Lovely ambiance, excellent service, and the food was phenomenal, especially the pecan pie!
Superior everything, with the price to match
The food was nice. However they didn’t ask me about the tip and they charged me 33$.
Consistent excellence is rare but Wolfgangs delivers.
Amazing steak and wines. Our server was very professional but doesnt seem to be happy working there :(
Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. Those are lamb chops!!! More like jr steaks. Meaty, juicy, and worth every penny. Man these were so good!!!
Honestly, I was very disappointed with the experience. The service was fine. No issues there. Drinks were OK. Every food item we had was lacking an element. Nothing was seasoned. We are not picky about where we eat, and for the price we paid for a dinner for 2, I expected a lot more! Everything was cooked properly, just no flavor. I would not recommend.
Absolutely delicious, portions are huge, so take that into consideration when you order
We had an amazing time and dinner was just perfect, the steak are just yummy. Make sure you have enough $$ before going here cause it’s pretty expensive but you’ll enjoy the food. Service was amazing and atmosphere very cosy.Recommended.
No standard of service, first waiter was condescending, rolling his eyes when we asked him if what we ordered was a suitable portion for 2 people. That waiter was replaced with a much more pleasant one midway through our meal. I believe the first one was at the end of his shift and would not receive our tip from this meal, therefore not caring if he was rude or not, but that is not a reason to give customers a horrible experience. It would even be alright if he was simply unenthusiastic at the end of his shift, but visibly being annoyed at a reasonable question really soured our experience. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about especially at that price.
Good dinner
Amazing restaurant, our steaks were on point as requested and everything was delicious. The servers were very friendly and helpful. We had to swap a dish because we werent fond of sweet potatoes and they switched right away without any issues.
Just ask for Tony. The rest doesn’t matter
Top NYC steakhouse and my new #1 spot before a Knicks game
Racist, said come in no need to reserve a table when we got there 5 min later, we got denied
Where do i begin…….Never experienced anything so wonderful. From the hostess to all the servers, never felt so welcomed and pampered even before our meal came in. Ambiance can be whatever you make it, casual to super fancy and yes any time of day, they are open. The food was super worth every penny and wait time. The tomahawk steak and the sautéed mushrooms were my personal favorite p.s. i hate mushrooms😃. I Definitely recommend - Props to the team that served the Saturday before halloween. My hope is that Wolfgang opens a spot in Massachusetts so I don’t have to do a road trip.
Food, Services, Atmosphere and the overall attentiveness from the staff was very impressive.
Visit it for lunch recently and the food was great. The ribeye steaks are huge and enough for two people to share.
It was first time we went out to the city after pandemic, and we choose to go for Woolfgangs. I dont know what they have been through this covid time so I felt bad but still, it was too cold just too seat inside and eat there. I wish I could stay more comfortable there and enjoy the meal but I COULD NOT. The steak was okay but it was just literally okay. Not worth to pay 140 for two. They tipped us 20 which was literally too much. At least they gave us complimentary rose. I strongly recommend you to visit original not the chain.
Every location is top notch with excellent food and outstanding service! Steak is amazing, and they have an impressive selection of wine and spirits. Best steakhouses in the world, would absolutely recommend! 10/10
Very Good Service. Satisfied with Food and Drinks
Beautifully cooked steaks. Fantastic service. Great overall.
Great experience here. We got the porterhouse steak and it was delicious. The servers were nice and entertaining.
The steak was done to perfection, enjoyed every bit of it. Definitely going back.
Definitely the best steak in the NYC. The service was awesome.
Seriously best Wolfgang’s of them all so Th rock star staff and of course awesome food and wine. Love this place!
The used car salesmen of the restaurant world. Took the whole team here for a steak dinner. These people are true scammers. The scam is, you order one dish, they multiply it out for the whole table and charge you. I ordered 1 seafood appetizer. Some people want seafood. They put 3 towers on the table. I said I only ordered 1, they said they are just spreading it out for everyone. On the bill there were not 3 seafood players, there were 7. Almost $700 of seafood we did not want. They did the same to all the sides. Then they made us wait almost 2 hours until the seafood was done to deliver our steaks. Some of the people do not eat seafood, others were so full more then an hour ago then they were just ....waiting. Once this was done the steaks were not even enjoyable. This is the second year we went to this restaurant, we have decided as a team never to go back.
Meat was poor Quality .One server was borderline rude .Best thing was the bread in a steakhouse that says alot.
Food was AMAZING ‼️ loved the environment for date night ♥️
Went to Wolfgang at 37th street and broadway location for since it’s our first time and wanted to try the atmosphere of the restaurant. We went in earlier than our reservation time, we greeted by kind host, they sat us down in back right corner near the servers station. We don’t know what’s on the menu so we ask about one item where they can’t explain it properly. They have displayed a rudely answer and rushed us to order instead of taking their time to explain the food. We dined in with disappointment and didn’t enjoy the food all the way. We got treated rudely.
I had a steak and the lobster Mac Cheese. Service was excellent.
Excellent place. Service is top notch and very attentive. Food is very good.
Being a world renowned chefs restaurant I really expected more. We sat with empty glasses and dirty dishes for a while, before I took initiative to pour my own. I saw most tables being helped by 2 or 3 guys with ours being ignored. It wasn’t until I made the choice to serve myself was I waited on. Our initial waiter brought water and was never seen again. We felt very under appreciated. The steak, while good was a bit over charred for my liking but not terrible. The lobster bisque and lobster Mac and cheese were great. The crab cake was over cooked, being hard and spongy around the edges with a minimal center area being edible. For being a highly rated restaurant, this was by far the WORST experience I’ve had in the city. I will definitely be sure to not return and will share my displeasure.
Amazing food.
Not just another steakhouse. Great food and service. Always a must stop on NY.
Nice place food was OK I was expecting it to be better prices are a little high but it is NYC
Literally the best steak Ive had in my whole life. I didnt mind that there were no gluten free sauces on the steak or options forgf dessert. Only complaint was the place was noisy.
Good NYC steakhouse, a few vegan options, good for a business drink or meal
Food was great, ambience was cozy, and staff was good but could be better.
I absolutely love this place. Everything from food to service was amazing 🤩
We got the porterhouse steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus and salmon. Everything was delicious!
This is the best steakhouse I’ve ever tried. Two thumbs up!
The service was great ~ and the steak lived up to what I expected.
Most expensive dinner in my life, yes. Best dish in my life, yes.
Not very good service and the food was alright. Portion is a lot though.
Fabulous vibes and good
It was an absolute nightmare for ordinary people wanting to try a high-end restaurant.
Always great food and service. The bartenders know their drinks really well.
Place is always good, price is $$$$ but well worth it and the attention the staff gives you is good to go! Will come back again!
We didnt have a reservation and they accommodated the three of us at 5:45. We had three different entrees, Lamb, steak, and seafood. All were very good.
Great experience
Went here for lunch on a Sunday. The whole restaurant was empty. Food was great. Very recommended. Friendly service.
This was a date with my king. They were so awesome. The food was amazing. I would recommend the place for friends or date night.
Great steaks and impeccable service. You get what you pay for. Wish the wine list had a couple of more affordable wines.
