What a perfect gem of a place! This is a small narrow place just a block away from the theater district. We stopped in for a drink and appetizer before heading to see a show.It is nice and quiet -- with an excellent wine list. We had a simple hummus plate, but it was delicious and so flavorful. This was just a great spot a little away enough that its not full of tourists -- very calm and quiet. We will definitely plan to come back and try more of their menu in future visits before shows. Service was great as well.
Uger was excellent and provided Ana amazing experience! You need to check this place out and visit during the Happy Hour. I tried this Pino Tage from South Africa that was delicious. If you are near 9th and 44th you should definitely check this place out for a tasty glass of wine!
I have become a regular here. The food is so good and a great selection of wines. I love the people. It is a great place to meet and actually have a conversation. Thank You Wine Escape. I love you all and will continue to come in and support.
Friendly bartender, quieter than a lot of places in the area, great pre-theatre stop
5 piece charcuterie board and a couple glasses of the happy hour white wine of the day, a Greek 2021 Moschofilero. Nice selection of cheese choices. Walnuts, apple sauce, fig jam, evoo, warm pita. Service was great! Everything we were looking for at the moment. Will return when in Hells Kitchen.
Really lovely wine spot in hells kitchen bordering on the theater district. Small and intimate with great wines and a lovely cheese plate. What else do you need!
Amazing place!!!Food is amazing! Recommend artichoke dip and salmon 🫠 and cheese boardBartender is very cute and knowledgeable guy! Will recommend you best wine!Come back 💯
Small place nice and quiet so dont bring any of you loud friends there because everyone will hear your conversation. If you dont want a quiet evening in Rudys is around the corner
Lovely hidden wine spot. I love this cozy wine shop. They serve good wines and some kinds of small bites.
The staff and service are extremely high quality. I recommend you try this place. Come if you want to spend quality time.
What an ‘escape’ from the bustle of New York. A relaxing and intimate space, with excellent service, an excellent wine selection & delicious food. Highly recommend.
This place is FANTASTIC. Wine is lovely, ambiance is cozy and quaint, and the staff is delightful. Highly recommend a stop - must get the avoganush and pierogies!! Although near Time Square, a place locals will adore!
Quaint and nice. It was a “MeetUp/Social” type of event and was able to meet nice people, the event was for a summer rose wine tasting, I would go again. The salmon entree was perfect. The wine was good. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Nice people, the spinach artichoke dip and Peter was great as well as our Wines By the glasses
A cozy wine bar run by a couple of charming Turkish chaps. Has a short but well-chosen wine list and it is far more reasonably priced than most in Manhattan. Çok güzel!
The wine bar had an impressive selection, and the staff was knowledgeable about pairings. The ambiance was cozy, perfect for a quiet night out. It does get crowded on weekends, so I’d recommend going early to secure a table. A perfect place for wine lovers.
Wine escape offers a delightful combination of excellent wine and delicious food. The ambiance is sophisticated yet welcoming, ideal for a casual night out or a special occasion.
Was in the area with a friend and stopped by for a glass of wine. The experience was fairly average but what hurt was paying nearly $20 for one glass of wine. The wine was good, but not $20-a-glass good. You’re better off finding another location with more reasonable prices
Intimate hideaway in a busy location. Attentive service. Excellent food for sharing - recommend the flat breads and spreads.
Its a very nice place, the food was very good, the staff was very attentive and friendly, I would definitely recommend it if you come by.
Great place to have a great glass of wine!
Nice intimate place convenient to theater district. Very cozy atmosphere, nice selection of wines and attentive service. Small streetside seating available for good weather. Would definitely try again.
Made the walk after dinner. Got there with no patrons or staff in sight. Made a u turn and went to Mamma Mias. As we left, we saw 1 guy half down the block start walking towards the bar...maybe a bartender? We didnt turn back.
Fantastic selection of wine and appetizers. The staff are very warm and friendly, and the outdoor space was perfect for a quiet afternoon
Such a cute hole in the wall wine bar! Food was amazing: we had the meatballs and cheese cigars. All very well seasoned, not too heavy, and flavorful. The staff was really nice and friendly too. Everyone there seemed like locals/regulars and we loved that
Delicious wine & great quiet spot away from the busy area. The service was just okay - our food was forgotten at first and it was tough to catch their eye even when it wasn’t that busy - but their wine knowledge was fantastic and we loved our sparkling wines especially!
Cozy nice spot to catch a good conversation with friends. Tasty food and very good service are plus. Highly recommended especially glass of wine and appetizers.
My wife and I were visiting NYC for a few days staying near Times Square. After a long day we just wanted some wine and a few small plates. We found Wine Escape online and decided to give it a try. We each got a flight of four wines and some appetizers. The wines were excellent, the appetizers delicious, the service friendly and the ambiance delightful.
Deşısıous Food and atmosphere 🥰
Great wine selection with rotating featured wines. The grilled cheese sandwich is to die for, and the hummus is worth it for the phenomenal warm grilled pita alone. Best of all, the staff is amazingly friendly and make you feel at home.
The name is apt. This is the perfect place to stumble upon and stop in to escape the noise. My mom and I enjoyed our time here. The wine was great and so was the atmosphere. The woman who served us was welcoming and friendly. Loved talking with her.
What a treasure! If you want a local, quaint wine tasting/ cheese spot, head there now. We were assisted by Ugur, the knowledgeable young man who turned on to several great wines both domestic and primarily foreign. Likewise, the cheese board, warm pitas bread and the fig spreads were fantastic! I will be sending my friends here and most definitely return next visit to NYC.
Ive been coming here since 2014. Terrific hole in the wall. The service, wine and ambience always brings me back.Took my parents here yesterday for my mothers birthday. We had an excellent time!
We enjoyed the quiet, relaxed atmosphere and the wines he suggested.
This is a cute little spot in Hell’s Kitchen that does not disappoint — very nice wooden, warm feel to it and a happy hour until 6pm with $9 house red, white, and rose.
Great lil wine bar with a nice selection. Only complaint is it would be great to know wineries region and not just varietal and country of origin. Besides that service was friendly and accommodating.
Good food and reasonably priced for the area. My girlfriend and I loved the flat bred pizzas and small entrees. Definitely a spot to try if you are interested in small settings with good food and wine.
The ambiance is lovely and so are the bartenders. The food is amazing. Try the cheese cigars with the fig jam. Its a great place to sit and read a book or catch up with friends.
Wonderful intimate atmosphere and really delightful service. 10/10 would definitely go back next time were in the city.
Cozy wine bar. If you go early it is not difficult to get seating. One of my go to places for decent wine and convenience to transportation and/or Uber pickup (since it isnt directly in Time Sq).
Wonderful experience! Cozy vibe, great wine list, delicious bites and above all, exceptional service.
Wonderful place. Small and cozy
Great place, great wines and very friendly staff. Must try appetizers and cheese board. Delishh:)
Great wine selection in Hells Kitchen. Great for pre show drinks.
Great little place, short but well formed wine list, very cosy inside and surprisingly well priced for NYC. Little gem, come once youll come back
Surprisingly nice and non touristy. The name is a red herring.Solid wines
One of my absolute favorite hidden treasure restaurants in Manhattan. The menu and wine options are all sensational. The best staff and a real small town feel in the heart of mid-town.
Great wine selection and very good quality food, love this place! very nice and profesional staff
Lovely spot, good wine list, very friendly service.
This place is a little gem. Perfect for a date or a night out with the girls. Ive been here several times and have never been disappointed.
Pricey, wine choices were limited but this is quite a small establishment. Then again this is The theater district in NYC. Good for a quick bite to eat and pre performance nosh.
Always a great stop. Fun wine bar. Great food. Welcoming vibe.
LOVELY wine bar. Super close to the theatre district and totally off the tourist route. Great for pre theatre
An amazing place for such a small place. Our go-to place after seeing a show.
Meat and Fish menus were excellent. The service staff were friendly and very warm. I advise
Lovely cozy place with really good food and wine list.
Great experience, friendly staff, good wines and tasty charcuterie
Great, hole in the wall wine bar with great selection. Very small space, which is perfect
Cozy spot with a fun wine selection and excellent food. Be sure to get the cheese cigars.
The food and appetizers are very nice, the staff is friendly, I would definitely recommend it.
Cozy wine bar with a limited selection of wines. The food was great as was the service!
Cute wine bar . . Small but lots of seating . Open late and friendly servers.
Amazing place. We liked the wines so much.
Perfect wine and chill spot!
Very friendly and great wine list but not cheap
Times Square cosy wine bar, good selection, sanity amongst chaos!
Want to sit with an empty glass while the bartender goes on a meal break? This is the spot.
A cozy wine place with a rather narrow selection of wines. However lovely place.
Great hospitality at this little gem, if you like grape, you’ll love this place.
Good place to enjoy a drink
Had the polish dumplings and a lot of wine. The ambience of the place is fantastic. Its super moody and the music is great. Great place for a date. Would come back again.
Tldr: decent food, wine, bad servicePierogies are great, cheese portions are small for the cost and pork sliders are a little dry but taste good. Service though was short, unfriendly and left an unpleasant last impression. It was rushed(even though the restaurant was empty and 3 hours before closing on a sunday), she did not check how we were or made any recommendations, and took the checks before we left - then forced a bigger tip than originally left. Wouldve returned if not for the service.
You have to try some Food, Wine.. My best is Penne shrimp. And best salmon in the world..
Great place after a Broadway outing!
First thing when we came in we got a glass of water and a smile. Just came in for one glass of wine each. The bartender was lovely! Had so much fun!
Delightful hidden gem with wonderful staff
We had a very good experience here and will absolutely come back. The wine was great, and the staff was fun and inviting!
Delightful spot for after theater pours. And wonderful proprietor.
Great spot very quiet and cozy perfect for a first date food and wine are excellent.
Small, relaxing intimate wine bar. Nice selection
Cozy space excellent wine great snacks
Came here to meet up with a friend one random night. Its a small nice place. They have a great selection of wines and they let you test some out before getting a glass. Service was excellent. We did not try their food but I would not mind coming back here for their wine selection.I would recommend this place.
Good location, friendly staff and awesome selection of small plates, cheese and wine. I had a great time, will definitely return.
This place is amazing. I highly recommend. Great food we got the scallops and salmon. Music in the background was really nice. It’s a very charming wine bar.
Cute spot, cozy. Food was OK however the wine selection was great and reasonably priced. Went after work and due to size does not take much to get busy. The bartender was nice and very knowledgeable.
Don’t let the cheesy name fool you - this place is an actual escape from the busyness of NYC. A cozy and quiet space with an intimate ambiance, yet just a stones throw from 9th Ave. The food menu is quite extensive too - I had the filet mignot which came on a bed of asparagus with a side of delicious mashed potatoes. The meal was top notch. Great wine selection. Excellent spot in HK, definitely check it out.
Small, cozy & good Turkish influenced food with fresh ingredients. Nothing complicated, simple.Fine wine selection, a few bottled beers and full bar, but from the name you should expect wine. Just a few steps off the beaten path and it really does feel like an escape from the noise and furor of hells kitchen. The owner is usually present, which always makes a place feel more accessible, because you know she cares.
It’s nice small quite place for a first date.
Quaint, lovely little place with great wine and cheese selections. While there arent alot of food options, they are simple and good tasting for what you expect. Great happy hour and descent prices. I always love the privacy this place offers and allows for great conversations and date vibes. Very special find.
Really nice place, good staff tasty cheeses
This is my favorite wine bar in NYC!
Great place with a fantastic wine selection. Everything is so pleasant here, I would definitely recommend it to everyone!Ezgi was so friendly and attentive about everything, it made us feel very welcomed 😊Definitely going back.
I had the most amazing experience wine tasting with strangers I met that night for a Valentines day event. The host really cool engaging all the tables, expressing his interest in wine and playing ice breaker games with everyone. Will sooo go back!
Cozy good selection good prices and tasty cheese plate.
This place had some great wines, was uncharacteristically quiet given its proximity to Times Square, and the bartender was super-friendly. Sat there for 2 hours with 4 friends and we shared a few bottles of wine. Would gladly go back again.
Quiet, laid back experience. Very enjoyable, with a small but tasty selection of wines. Would have liked to be hungry, as they had some interesting food menu items too.
Great little wine escape (quite literally) in Hells Kitchen. Excellent selection. Friendly service. It can get a little warm when crowded, but its still worth it.
As so many people have said before. It’s a really small intimate kind of setting. Service was great, bar tender was very attentive and seemed to have a good rapport with his customers. I recommend the grilled cheese 😊
One of my favorite wine bars. Tucked away in the theatre district. Great to go to before a show. Never too crowded. Hope that doesn’t change.
Lovely wine, very small bar.
Cozy, great attentive service
Great place for grabbing some wine and food. Usually pretty quiet and the bar tenders are very nice. Only downside is it’s a bit pricey, but that seems to be the case for most wine bars in nyc.
This is seriously such a hidden gem. Awesome food— Mediterranean + Turkish, loved the cheese cigars and the prosciutto and arugula flatbread. Affordable and delicious wine. Highly recommend the waitress Ezgi!! Will definitely return.
Nice place, intimate. Small hideaway. Ordered the cheese plate, nice cheese selections but the small slice they give for the cheese is ridiculous. They could be more generous for the $17 price.
The cheese and charcuterie was awesome. Five choices of cheese or charcuterie for $29. Two triangle pieces of cheese per choice!!
Great people, excellent service an full glasses. Just go and sit at the bar.
A cozy little wine retreat in the hells kitchen vicinity. Enjoyed a nice port (ok 2) in this low lit, intimate location. Stop in if your in the area, but keep a keen eye as it can be easily missed.
Quiet little place. Very pleasant. Very little so it get crowded in the usual hours. Very good service. Excellent cheese and wine selection. They even have Bulgarian cheese! #loveit
I love this place. Its small and cozy so you get a personal service. The staff are great and knowledgeable about the wines.
This is a hidden gem. Not easy to find, small entrance sign if you are walking distracted you might pass right thru it without notice! From the outside Wine Escape may not look like much, but its worth a visit if in the areaWine and food aside, it was a great place to sit down for a bite and actually have a conversation; wouldnt say its off the beaten path but the atmosphere inside the quaint wine bar is simple and relaxed. The perfect place to share a bottle of wine and a plate of meats and cheese or their delicious flatbread! Bartender is super friendly and knowledgeable
Nice wine bar to stop by four a couple of glasses.
Lovely, personable service. Cozy space. Food is excellent. Had two of the pizzas. The hummus chorizo was tasty and the arugula/prosciutto/parmesan was super.Nice wines by the glass.
Really friendly staff. Very helpful and interested in ensuring a solid experience. Quite approachable whether you know a lot or a little about wine. Artichoke dip was delightful.
Great wine and very friendly and professional!
There is no Happy Hour here and the wine by the glass is on the pricey side...but the small selection of wines by the glass are excellent indeed. The meatballs are incredible as well. I would defintely come back for those meatballs.
I love this place and the Pinotage they have on the menu.
A good selection of wine and some nice cheeses. Small and cute place and great friendly service.
Quiet place to enjoy wine and appetizers. Prices are typical NYC but appropriate for the quality and quantity.
Just a quiet place with great happy hour specials and lite appetizers.
I love this place: cosy, central, quiet and elegant.
Quiet and nice! Smiley staff! 🥂
One of my favorite wine bars in NYC. Its relatively small, but its very cozy and comfortable, and even when its full it never gets too loud. Try to get a seat at the bar - this place always seems to have bartenders that really genuinely enjoy what they do.
Just stopped in to use the bathroom not only not only was it prestine, the bartender was very welcoming and pleasant, thank you! Sure to return
Cute wine bar with a good selection and great service.
Cozy, but a good spot to enjoy wine. If youre looking for privacy, it may not be the spot for you.
Cosy, lovely wine, tasty nibbles, great for a little drink before the theatre or dinner
An incredible place to get a glass of wine before a show!
Cute cosy place for a glass of wine
Wine list and food menu is limited but its a cozy place next to the most noisy, busy, crowded place of world. So we appreciated the time spent there before going back in the craziness.
Very nice service and good wine selection
Great little wine bar. Friendly staff and owner!
Cozy and bartender running around alone making it work.
Okay place for a quick drink and small plates
Red wine and cheese recommended to complete a great experience
Lovely wine bar!
Cozy, art filled wine bar. Great for conversation
Great wine and appetizers!!
Very small intimate place
Always s phenomenal experience
Good place to start a conversation over wine
The food was delicious!

A quiet place for a date
Where where niceee❤️❤️❤️
Love it
Meh
Peacefully empty
Terrific!!!
It has a nice atmosphere and is a great place to drink wine and chat with friends. There was a variety of wines and the taste was good.
Super cozy place with good wine and tapas
A small tavern, decorated with great taste and where you can try different wines, but all hot.
