This place is my new favorite!! I loved the fact that it is in excellent location, but still you dont need a reservation, and you can seat yourself where ever you like! The staff it was polite with smile, and I loved the view! I went there little bit before the sunset, and I couldnt have enough of the light changing from the romantic sunset colors to the magic night colors.... I didnt felt the need to touch my phone except to take more Pictures and more videos....!! Highly recommend you gonna love it!!

I visited this spot with my family for a brunch, and unfortunately, it was a letdown. Despite having a reservation, we waited an unusually long time just to be seated, and it took even longer for us to place our order. After what felt like an eternity, the food that finally arrived was disappointing. They forgot one of our orders, which meant an even longer wait, and when the food did come, it was underwhelming. The French toast, in particular, was a major letdown—dry and flavorless. Overall, the experience was frustrating, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant brunch.

I had an amazing time! The food was outstanding, and the wine paired perfectly with it. The photographer at the restaurant captured some incredible shots of us and framed them, so they won’t get lost among a thousand photos on my phone. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I’m already looking forward to going back!

The first thing I will say is that I am the type of person who always looks at the comments of the place I am going to go, when I read the recent comments of this place I felt a little confused, because it had very good comments and very bad comments, however , I decided to go ahead with my intention to visit it. I went to this place with my daughter, I have to clarify that we went on a Tuesday which probably contributed to our experience being quite calm and pleasant, the service seemed quite fast and the waiter was very friendly. Our food arrived quickly, we decided to try three different dishes: the watermelon salad, which is a very generous size and very good flavor, Korean Pork Belly Slider, delicious, but as usual, very small, and the Burrata pizza. Everything absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our dinner, the view is a plus. On our next visit, which will surely be very soon, I hope to enjoy a drink on the terrace.

City Vineyard is an excellent choice for corporate socials and networking events. With its inviting atmosphere and stunning views, it provides the perfect backdrop for making connections and hosting memorable gatherings. The staff at City Vineyard are professional and attentive, ensuring that your event runs smoothly and that your guests are well taken care of. The only consideration is the space, which can be challenging due to its popularity. Its highly recommended to book in advance to secure a specific time slot that suits your needs.

Really fun and beautiful place to hang out in the sun with some wine and bring your visiting friends. It was very crowded so finding a table was impossible, but they have a nice patch of grass by the water you can casually bring your drinks out to. We made a reservation for 6 and have the poke bowl and pizza, both of which I wouldn’t recommend. Poke was very basic, and the pizza was 1000% something frozen from the supermarket. Painfully bad. However this place is really delightful to hang out outside, so I’d recommend coming just for drinks and a vibe and then finding something nearby for food

Went for the NYE party and it was really disappointing, the decor was basically a few balloons on the floor, it felt like a 13 year olds birthday party. My MAIN issue was the service, the bartenders decided to only serve one half of the bar for 20 minutes straight until a disgruntled woman walked to the other side and reminded them were was at least 4 people waiting on the other side. When the bartender FINALLY took my order 20 minutes later, he blamed the wait on the espresso machine...I hadnt even told him my order before he approached me. Poorly organized and not well thought out event. TERRIBLE DJ I could not say enough bad things about his work.

The food here is AMAZING! I was actually shocked at how good it is. I also enjoyed the wine. The location is super cute and you have a good view of Hudson River Park. Got a table quickly for a Saturday night. Staff is friendly, but I think they might be understaffed! The wait times were long to get a waiter, to have the drinks brought over and to get the food. I feel bad though because the waiter was really nice, I think he was just overwhelmed by tables. Hopefully they can get more staff members because its such a great place for food and drinks! I would still go again because I did enjoy it!

If youre looking for a restaurant with a stunning view of the Hudson river, City Vineyard is a great option. The ambiance is simply amazing, and you can enjoy your meal with a breathtaking view of the water. The restaurants signature burger is a must-try - its absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend requesting some of their hot sauce to add some extra flavor. My wife had the porcini ravioli with grilled chicken, and she loved it. The dish was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were spot on. We visited on a foggy day, but we can only imagine how beautiful the views must be on a clear day.Overall, City Vineyard is a fantastic restaurant that offers both great food and an amazing ambiance. The service was top-notch, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Not the greatest experience. The wait staff was clearly too busy socializing with other staff to check in with us. If I were asked how was the margarita pizza was, Id say bland, and no better than a corner pizzeria. Uninspiring. I had to flag down the waitress for salt and pepper to try and improve it because she ignored my previous cue that I needed something. The pickled ginger on my guests poke bowl was more flavorful. The Kung pow cauliflower was good. Whyd the pizza and service have to be bland? My guest was not given a refil on the tap water when he glass was empty. The waitress seemed too busy to notice.

Decided to take myself for a relaxing lunch at City Vineyard. It was just a 10 min walk from my hotel and a lovely view of the water. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with a lovely slaw on it. I also had to try the Brussel sprouts. The food did not disappoint! The chicken was fried to perfection! The Vineyard spritz was delicious too and I have been trying to recreate the drink since returning home. It was light and not too sweet. Perfect refreshing drink for the summer heat! ☀️ I would definitely recommend. Next time I want to try the rooftop seating but I was there too early.

And the staff was beyond amazing !! The only thing bad that I could say was the wait 🤷🏽‍♀️. But hey it’s COVID lolz. We had to wait 2 hours before we can get a table. We unfortunately did not have a good experience. We were super excited to be visiting NYC for the weekend and this was our first dinner. Our server was friendly, but the food was very disappointing. The cauliflower app lacked flavor, but we were hopeful for dinner. My husband ordered a medium filet and it came out very rare. Usually we would never send food back, but it was so rare. We asked the server if the kitchen could cook it a little longer and he just stared and said nothing and just took the plate. When his steak returned, his sides were cold. I got ravioli and added chicken. I definitely do not recommend the chicken. It had the oddest smell and seemed artificial. We unfortunately spent $150 and went elsewhere for food after.

I met two of my girlfriends for dinner on the water, it was a nice time and sunset. One of my dates had Mac & Cheese with white wine and the other date a wine flight; while I had the Kale Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and hot Green Tea. The food and drinks were nice and the service was tentative. The outdoor patio was open upstairs and the views were lovely. Ambience was excellent and the guests were lovely as well. Afterwards we walked the water front and met another girlfriend to add energy to the nightfall...a sensational night for all.

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Sunny 🌞, mid 60s. Sat outside, unobstructed view of the Hudson… Easy relaxed atmosphere. The lobster bisque was hot, which is how a soup should be, deliciously creamy, yet not thick. The herb fries were crispy 😋. The city burger was decent. The service could have been a bit better. Got our drinks after all the food was served. Hence why I gave it 3 stars.

We asked our server for extra napkins to which she never returned (maybe took her break?) Another server came to check on us. We again asked for extra napkins and the check. He came back with the check and no napkins. Gave him the card to pay and he took forever to return with it for us to sign and leave because he was busy chatting up other tables.

It’s hard to enjoy oneself these days knowing at any given moment you can get COVID and possibly die. My boyfriend booked a table for two for my birthday and we were pleasantly surprised. Jimmy, our server, was polite and speedy with our order. We started out with the bacon Mac n cheese (which was amazing and so cheesy) followed up by the chicken sandwich for me and the steak frites for my partner. Both meals were very delicious and our table by the water made the whole night extra special. At the end of our meal they brought out a slice of cheesecake and sang Happy birthday to me. It’s the little things that make you forget about the drama surrounding us. Thank you City Vineyard.

I’m honestly a little shocked this place is rated as high as it is. Here’s how our birthday dinner for 10 people went down (skip to bottom for TLDR version). Our reservation was for 7pm specifically for an indoor table. They said they wouldn’t seat us unless a majority of the party was there. The majority got there a short time later, maybe 7:10, but we still had to wait another 10 minutes for the table. The host brought us to an outdoor table, even though we had specifically requested indoors. When we asked for an indoor table, we were told there was no wait staff for indoor dining (which is honestly just an insane excuse because there are at least 10 indoor tables already prepared). We told the manager we were there for a birthday and our reservation was specifically for indoors, and finally he gave us an indoor table. The staff then started seating more people indoors, so that’s twice the staff lied to us before we even sat down at our table. Two of the wines we asked for on the wine menu were sold out. We all ordered a mix of entrees; fish, pasta, and burgers. Nearly everyone at the table said their food was flavorless, not what we were expecting when paying $30 for a plate. The pasta had no sauce, the fish was very bland, the burger was more bread than meat. We were very underwhelmed. The views are very nice, but there are better places on the west side where you can get a good meal and a nice view.TLDR: mediocre and overpriced food, dishonest staff, good views but would not come back on my own.

Could have been better . Food was great, but the service was very poor. Friday afternoon around 2 PM Me and my friend went up to the rooftop area. The bartender Brittany ( Not sure if I got the right name, but it’s the girl with medium length curly hair) was chatting it up with all the other other customers except me and my friend which fine whatever.I wanted something light so I ordered fries nothing else and as I was paying, Brittany was watching me while I was trying to select if I wanted to do a tip or not which I didn’t because I just got fries it’s not like I ordered more stuff . My friend ordered more than me. I didn’t like that she was looking while I was deciding if I wanted to tip or not, but I just brushed it offAfter a while, I got thirsty, so I went to go buy a drink. again Brittany was flirting and Very friendly with the other people ordering at the bar while I was waiting . When she got to me, I just ordered and she quickly made it in silence . I had all the intentions of giving her a tip when I got up to go order , but I didn’t like the fact that I felt like I was being treated differently. I know I was being treated differently because the guy after me she became very chatty again . It’s not like I walked up to her with a straight face I smiled and was like “hey again I would like … “When it was time to pay, I clicked no tip and she looked me dead in my eye and said “ Is something wrong with the service you didn’t tip “ Which number one is a no no because why are you asking someone why they didn’t tip? I had a long day prior, so I didn’t really want to get into anything so I just said sorry . She was going on saying “you have to tip bartenders” . First of all, I don’t have to tip you you’re doing your job. A tip is based off of how your service was and your service was poor Brittany.I never in my life had someone asked me why I didn’t tip maybe because the service that you gave me was poor and you treated me and my friend differently than everybody else at that rooftop bar.Food was good, but I definitely will be going and staying inside the restaurant because the hostess and servers were much kinder down there.

Genuinely, this was one of the worst meals I’ve had, ever. I’m not usually one to leave a review and especially not a negative one. But I truly hope the owner/managers/whoever is making executive decisions at this place will do better, because I attribute the bad experience I had to them.First the positive: incredible views, good music, a yummy glass of cava. If you are meeting up with friends to hang out and drink and don’t mind waiting you’ll probably have a good time. Now for the negative: My sister made a reservation 2 or 3 weeks ago. We realized we’d be five minutes late, called and texted to let the restaurant know, and even got a text back. But when we got there, we waited 10-15 minutes to be seated and no exaggeration, once we sat down (at a table with two menus but four silverware sets for three people) we sat for about twenty minutes without a server ever coming to our table. Eventually we let the host know and a server arrived about five minutes later.Considering the number of tables and seats in that place, the number of servers and other employees was extremely low. It seems clear that they have not hired the number of people necessary for the restaurant to run well — everyone seemed overworked and stressed. No one I interacted with was unkind — just clearly exhausted. On to the food. The starters we ordered — tuna tartare and brussels sprouts — were fine and gave me false confidence for the main meal ahead. I’ll place some blame on myself here — Im lactose intolerant, and asked for my dish, which involved bucatini and seafood, to be made without the usual parmesan and butter. I was totally prepared for a no and had a backup order in case of that. But I was told yes, which was great. Except that what arrived was less a pasta dish and more a seafood broth with the requisite seafood, overcooked bucatini and some onions and tomato in it. For $27!!!!!! There was so much liquid! Like so much. I literally had to drink it from the plate to get any flavor. I was and still am blown away. Obviously we also waited 30-45 minutes before we got our apps and around 30 before our meals arrived. My mom’s poke bowl featured an unripe avocado and went unfinished, and my sister described her burrata-stone fruit salad as “Mid.”Overall, it seems like whoever opened this place made a big real estate investment with the intention of spending as little money on anything that would result in a pleasant experience, in hopes that the views would do all the work for them and to hell with the employees suffering for it. And considering how busy it is, I guess it’s working.

I came here yesterday for my birthday with a lunch reservation for a group of 10. It was 90 degrees outside, and took over an hour for someone to come give us water. It took another 30 minutes after that to get our drinks, and the server brought us a different sized bottle than we ordered. They were out of many menu items and cocktails, which made it difficult to order. The service was some of the worst I’ve experienced in the city, but the hostess told us there was only one server for everybody inside. Beautiful views and gorgeous venue. The staff I interacted with was very limited but pleasant. They only get 4 stars though because the staff is virtually non existent on the floor aside from bartenders and food runners. You as the guest are cleaning tables if you want to sit down. Food scraps are sitting out on common places for literal hours. (Not an exaggeration and not my food scraps, I got there before 8 and the food scraps near me werent cleaned up until they started cleaning to get ready to close around 10pm). Its a shame because it is such a nice venue. If they can have someone who at least occasionally walks around the rooftop and throws out trash to try and keep the place remotely tidy that would make it a 5 star experience.

We then observed this server telling our server that they brought it to the wrong table. Our waiter never came to tell us that but left us waiting for 20 mins before I stopped them to ask.I ordered another drink as we continued to wait. Another server brought out my drink and again, tried to give it to the table next to us until I spoke up and said it was mine.10 more minutes went by and someone in our party went to tell the server we don’t want the food anymore as we have been there almost 45 minutes. With all that said, our server did make it up to us and did a nice job as she knew it was a big mess.

Yesterday was my first time in city Vineyard and was very disappointed… the place was open to the public but we couldnt have a table in the first floor outside because “there was an private event” so we sat at the bar :( ; also the customer service really bad, they didnt have any of the beers we wanted. This was my first & last time dining here. We entered the restaurant & the host did not acknowledge us not even the slightest. We stated we had a reservation and he simply just began walking away as if we knew to follow him. He sat us at a table outside with his AirPods in threw the menus on the table & simply walked away. To make matters worse the waiter was no different. She seemed frustrated that I had questions about the menu & rushed for me to figure out what I wanted. While waiting for our food we noticed two mice running around & asked to be seated inside. I know it’s NYC & being outside sometimes there’s just nothing you can do. A busboy stated that they try to keep the door closed inside to prevent any mice from coming in however the door was open the entire time. We thought things would get better sitting inside but to our surprise we saw some more lovely mice running INSIDE the actual restaurant. The waiters seemed unphased and I’m baffled that the restaurant still holds a grade A. I would never return here again. Poor service, disgusting environment & the food was nothing special. Please save your time and money.

Walk-in. The employee here who said his name was Jeffrey told me the place was closed and that it opened at 2 PM. The restaurant had both doors open. I asked another employee to speak to the manager, but he was on his phone. I later asked Jeffrey again why the place was not open and for the manager. He said the manager was not here and that the place was not opened at 12 PM on the sign. He stated that an event was happening at 2 PM. No sign out front for an event. Later after creating this post online it said that the place was open after 3 PM, which may be for the event. However, again, not communicated.

I made reservations for a dome for the early evening because it was my partners birthday and I knew anyone would enjoy the views. We were a party of 3, including my infant with a stroller. I didn’t specify the stroller but it was 3 persons total, and they saw me walk in with it as we were being seated. The restaurant was very empty at this time. Reservations are made to accommodate parties before hand, to be prepared. We were seated downstairs with an obstructed view of the beautiful views…while all the domes upstairs were empty and had unobstructed views. I wanted to say something and it was my fault for not speaking up. Maybe they didn’t have an elevator for my stroller..We got inside the dome and there were MORE than 5 chairs inside making it so difficult to navigate the stroller. The hostess saw me struggling and did nothing. Again, I should’ve spoke up. But why weren’t you prepared to seat us accordingly? That whole thing threw my experience off because I had to settle. A while later, the hostess comes in to ask us if she can remove chairs, only to accommodate another party. Again, not being prepared for the other party reservation and please be my guest in removing the chairs. Customer service was amazing. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Food was okay. We got a regular margherita pizza and I compared it to a school lunch pizza. Do not recommend. Drinks were also okay. Other than that, next time I won’t hesitate to speak up for what I want and need and also, the restaurant should please be prepared for reservations made ahead of time. and the view, how could you not seat us for the view!? Ugh..

To start, I booked a place at the roof top and when I get there they tell me it’s not for eating. Okay I pick a random seat outside to browse the menu, ordering appetizer and a salad. The waiter comes after a few minutes saying they don’t have it. Order a bbq sandwich, the waiter comes back and says they only have it in other locations. I really wanted to like this place as the ambiance is really lovely, however, the food was just below average for Manhattan prices !Firstly, just know if you want to site outside its self-service. You have to order your own food and drinks from the bar. We opted out of this and sat under the patio. Which was not what we had in mind as we wanted to enjoy the first warm sunny day of spring.FOOD: To start the menu is very basic. Cheese sharing platter is hands down the WORST cheese platter I have ever had. I make a better cheese platter with food from publix. The bread that came with it was a stale raisin bread (TERRIBLE). The brie tasted like it was spoiled, it was inedible, I was worried it would give me food poisoning. The only edible things on the platter were some of the grapes and the toasted nuts. I wish this was it but there more bad news, I got the shrimp avo toast, which was served on a stale baguette. Not sure why all their bread is stale. My friend had the french toast which was actually the best thing we had. Though nothing to write home about or to go back for.DRINKS: The only serve wine from their vineyard, so the selection is extremely limited. I had a Chardonnay which was good enough, nothing special. My friend ordered a home-made bitters soda which was terrible. We had to send it back, to which the waitress said that most people dont like that drink ! Like WHAT I have never in my life heard a waitress say that about something on the menu. Like please help yourselves and remove things from the menu your staff know people dont like !SERVICE: All the staff were super friendly and attentive, the drink was taken back and a new one suggested and served, so that was nice. However, I thought they should have offered to remove the cheese platter from the bill as we simply did not eat it.All in all its a total miss for me, save your money yall !And as usual,Happy experiences to all !(PS I forgot to mention that we made a reservation and when we got there, there was no record of our reservation, even though we had confirmation on our phone. very odd)

A nice summer afternoon at City Vineyard was ruined by an aggressive and hostile staff member (Corey). My group was directed by the hostesses that anywhere outdoors was open seating and that we could order food/drinks at the bar. We found a table outside, and after sitting for 5-10 minutes, we ordered a round of drinks and appetizers at the bar. After returning with our drinks, Corey approached our table and told us that we were sitting at a full service table and asked whether we had just ordered at the bar. When we said yes, he became very upset and ordered us to move to a different table. We told him that we were fine with the table being full service and would gladly order more drinks / food through him - an offer which he refused. There were many empty tables and we sat around for 5-10 minutes without any service originally so we were surprised by Coreys attitude and pettiness. We picked up our drinks, moved tables and left City Vineyard as soon as possible - so many other options in NYC where you are treated with a modicum of respect.

Great atmosphere and one of the best dining places around the classic NYC piers. Pier 26 offers stunning sunset and a very pleasant urban refuge. City Vineyards is right by Pier 26 and works as a useful spot for gatherings. You can find tables for small groups either inside or outside.. or best.. at the roof. You can also host larger gatherings.. I was there with a group of 25 people without having to make any special booking. You can make two/three separate reservations if needed but the place usually has enough space for walk in experiences as well. They also offer gift cards if you want to host something for your teams/organizations/reunions etc.

The best thing about this place is the view. Sadly the food was below par. To be fair the City Winery Burger was reasonable, as were the fries, but it was not great. We also ordered the Tuna tartare which was ok, but not well seasoned. The Kung Pao cauliflower had now pow at all. It was came in a soggy batter with a slighty sweet sauce and a few slices of chilli as a garnish. There was no spice in the cauliflower at all, even the slices of chili had no heat. The wors was the cheese and meat board. Artisanal cheeses they wedre not. Two types of processed rubbery cheese from a supermarket, and a tasteles brie. The meats were also cheap and nasty. A sausage that was overpowered with cumin, a salami that was similarly flavoured, and a few slices of mortadella, most likely out of a packet. The tastiest thing on the board were the olives. Very dissapointing for $34. All in all we spent $177 for 3 people before tax and tip, and were completely underwhelmed. On top of that service was, at best, indifferent. I may have given 3 stars if not for that. It was not unpleasant, but the servers were not friendly, and were not attentive. No one came to check on us until we had almost finished the eintire meal. The venue has a large outdoor area, but most of the time, there was no one keeping an eye on the terrace. This could be down to a lack of staff, this may be down to a difficulty recruiting, or the management making a concsious choice, so I wont point the finger directly at the servers themselves. I can only assume this is a tourist restaurant, and does not expect repeat business.

We were told by the hostess that we could sit anywhere in the outside area in the front or back patio and order drinks and food at the bar which we did. We sat in the back patio facing the water and went to order an appetizer, salad and drinks. However, when we came back, a server told us we couldn’t sit at our table because it was “full service”. We told him we were fine with it being full service and asked if we could still sit there. He responded that we had already ordered so no, we could either sit at the bar or move to the side patio. We had tipped 18% at the bar already and were very willing to order more food and drinks but he seemed extremely adamant that we couldn’t sit there which was confusing because there were 4 more empty tables to our right and groups to our left getting “full service”. I’m not sure what difference it makes since we still got water, silverware and napkins and our food delivered to us when we moved tables and the servers cleared our table for us.Overall, this experience left a very sour taste in our mouth so we finished our food and drinks as fast as possible and went to a different bar where we treated like normal customers.

Went for a Live Jazz Date Night. While I think the prices are highly inflated, we did enjoy our food and especially the music. The space itself in the winter was not so crowded which was awesome though I know it gets packed in the warmer days. Our server Flor was amazing and the reason we will be back

We had Lucas as a waiter and he was phenomenal! Great wine recommendations, very attentive. Plus the atmosphere at City Vineyard cannot be beat. The views are beautiful and whether you want to come for a sit-down meal or a quick happy hour on their outdoor deck, you won’t be disappointed.

Good food, with portion sizes a little on the small side. Often great music - top notch programming. The room feels very intimate, and sounds great. Unfortunately the downside is that on a busy day when its nice out there is often quite a lot of commotion with people eating outside, not there for the show, and disrupting the show experience.

Came to City winery for my good friend Kate‘s birthday. Was greeted by a cold host staff and made our way outside, on a rainy stormy day, to the terrace on the river. Lucas was our server, and thanks to his professionalism (and ability to maneuver a growing group) we had the best night. Watching the sun set, the food was terrific and as I write he’s marrying my friend Kate (just kidding). We will return, fantastic summer spot. Go and have a great time.

Lets start with whats great: the wine is actually top notch. The service is also very friendly and thoughtful. The atmosphere is excellent. The food is simply not good at all. First, rancid oysters. That alone is careless and dangerous. The salad wasnt terribly offensive, just sloppy. The flat bread was nauseating. I dont know if it went bad... But I suppose my uncertainty speaks for itself. The rest was, almost certainly, frozen. You simply cannot serve that poor quality of food at that price. The food was really a huge letdown because this place has real potential!

My friend got yelled at by the manager for pushing the bathroom door open too hard. Not just in passing, but in front of everyone at the table and neighboring people. Really weird. Food was good, drinks were fine, servers were fab, view was good. But the manager wreaked it for us. Definitely hit up the sister City Winery but I would suggest North River Lobster Company or other local outdoor bars instead.

I had a wonderful dining experience at City Vineyard. The outdoor area is beautiful during sunset! Its spacious and doesnt feel overcrowded during popular hours. Service was great by our waitress Flor! She was attentive and always checked on us to make sure we were ok. Food and drinks came out promptly. We got the salmon and the Margherita flatbread was delicious!

They put us in the annex with no heaters. I never took my coat ooff, I was so cold. We asked the waitress if there was a sommelier working. There wasn’t. We asked if she knew about the wines. She didn’t. We ordered a bottle of wine. Ten minutes later she came to say they didn’t have it. We ordered another. Same thing. We asked if the manager could recommend something similar. He came with a wine that was not really similar. We told him an entire section of the wine list that we were also considering. 10 minutes later the waitress came back (not the manager - he didn’t extend the courtesy to us of coming himself - to say they had none of them. The food was average at best. This was below a below average experience with a more limited wine selection than most restaurants and less knowledgeable staff than most restaurants. The ‘vineyard’ / ‘winery’ in the name is an empty marketing ploy that does not deliver. Do NOT recommend in any circumstances!

This restaurant has a panoramic view of the river and the cityscape across. It allows dog on the patios. One of the patios is even covered and heated. Today is pretty windy with yesterday’s snow still on the ground. Some of us went to the dog park next door. Some had other activities for a Sunday morning. We met at this restaurant for brunch. Brian, our server brought us hot water with lemon, and for our puppy, a big bowl of water. It is such a nice place to relax and socialize, sheltered from the wind in the warmth of the Sun.

Extremely slow service - both to place an order and to get the food. It took 20 minutes before a waiter finally came to take my order. All I ordered was the fries and that took another 30 minutes after I ordered to come out. The fries came out overcooked so they were extremely crunchy and were basically like chips at that point. And for the truffle fries… it’s literally just a sprinkle of Parmesan on top. Not worth the upcharge from regular fries. The fries aren’t even worth it in general. The soda tasted very flat too. Friendly waiters though and a good rooftop to just take pictures and go.

This place definetly had a lot of potential, but I was slightly disappointed with the service and quality of food. The ambiance is beautiful, but our waiter was extremely slow in taking our order and he never came to check on us even after our food had come. We had to ask another waitress to bring us our check since we had no idea where he went. Disappointing because we wouldve ordered another glass of wine, but by the time we got anyones attention we had finished our food. The food was O.K. Nothing special and I was disappointed in my Kale Cesar Salad. It said house-made croutons but these were most definitely out of a pre-packaged bag. Maybe would come back in summer and only for drinks.

We visited this restaurant 2 evenings ago. It was our second time. Our first time was not a great experience. We were invited back to give another try. We had a beautiful second experience. We had an excellent table location, actually there is no bad table in this place. The views overlooking the Hudson are stunning. Our waiter was very attentive and informative on the menu options/choices. The atmosphere was quieter this time around, it was earlier and a Monday evening vs a Friday night at 10pm. Our wines were very tasty, I had a Rose and my husband had the Riesling. We started with a seafood platter of 6 oysters, 6 clams, 6 shrimp cocktails and a full lobster, it was an awesome presentation and a lot of fun to share. It was very filling, so for my entree I opted for the flatbread, my husband had the steak filet, both very good, his steak was a melt in your mouth filet. We finished with the yummy chocolate mouse dessert. Kudos to Sabrina and her staff for providing a very special evening. We will return. Thank you again. Tina and Jorge

Based on the other 1,800 reviews I expected decent food. I was disappointed at every turn. The margherita flat bread pizza tasted like store bought frozen pizza. The tuna tartar was average, lacking flavor, and the steak was tough. The wine selection also wasn’t great. For a restaurant with the word vineyard in its name, you would think there would be a good selection of wines to pick from. They only had one Sauvignon Blanc that was below average (it was Californian when most people prefer New Zealand). The main reason I will never go back was the nice running around the entire time on the back patio. When we mentioned it to the waiter he casually acknowledged that they are a problem. Then the bill came and it ended up being $100 per person with the tip. Honestly the only good part about this place was our waiter. He was great and we all loved him, but not enough to go back for overpriced bad food accompanied by mice.

Beware of the broken-zipper dome. We arrived on a cold day in January, very excited to dine with reservations that we’ve had for weeks. However, all of it was ruined by the fact that the dome was FREEZING COLD even with the “heater”. The zipper was broken so I kindly asked the waitress if she could move us to another dome (maybe one of the handful of the EMPTY domes on the roof)? But she very shortly said no and scurried off. Food was good but obviously people are there for the experience - and it was not a satisfactory one.

Tried planning a private event on the rooftop and it was the absolute worse with getting a response from management. It took 3 weeks or more for a single response either by email and no answer on the phone. Absolutely disrespectful and rude.

We visited NYC this past weekend, and it was the first trip to NYC for my traveling companion. Our last stop before leaving Sunday was for brunch at City Vineyard. Even though it was pretty chilly (to us at least) we were still able to enjoy the amazing river views from the enclosed/heated back patio. Our server was Ms. Flora, and we had a great time chatting with her. The food was awesome, wine was amazing (their Cabernet), and we even got to spend time in the comfortable sofas after our meal. The manager (I believe) stopped by to say hi, and everyone was kind and gracious. It all made for the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend, and we will definitely be back when it gets warmer to enjoy their roof deck. Thanks to all!
