Amazing brunch today at Castamar in West Village. The vegetable omelet was the best omelet I’ve ever had. My husband had Sassy Benedict and there was lobster on top of the eggs and underneath cornbread. The bacon on the side was cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to try dinner here. Lovely ambience too!

Great new tapas restaurant and bar!!! Amazing food, ambiance and drinks! You have to check them out ASAP ☺️ my favorite drink is the Spanish Jewels with PoP RocKs, yes pop rocks -- super fun drink. Perfect spot to dine alone, friends, family or date night. My favorite dishes so far are the chef burger, their omlettes (brunch SAT & SUN) , the seabass, burrata, crab cake and the sea scallops, yumz. Chef Brian has created a great menu and dont forget to try at least one of his desserts! #castamarnyc #lifewithjess #comidarica

Delicious food, amazing presentation, so glad I found this place. Lots of super interesting combinations and ingredients, already planning my next visit bucket list of dishes to try next!

I agree with everything Bonnie wrote in her review below. Tried this place yesterday thinking itd be cool to check out a recently opened restaurant and the website made it look super classy. ...It wasnt. I felt like the restaurant had an identity crisis - wants to be upscale based on menu pricing, but without a matching decent menu and ambiance to justify it.This is not a proper white tablecloth restaurant and service was pretty underwhelming the whole night. Constantly felt rushed by the servers despite being one of handful of people in the entire restaurant, and as others have pointed out the pricing is ridiculous. $29 for two scallops on the appetizer menu and were going to consider that tapas? Yeah, no. Portions are super tiny and served in very small plates, and it just lacked basic things like a proper wine menu, bread for the table to start, actual tea light candle vs. the faux battery operated ones they have.Super loud music blasting throughout the entire space that makes it hard to have a decent conversation, and I got the impression that all of the people there were friends of the owner, chef, or people who worked there. Even some of these 5 star reviews seem suspect. If you go, maybe your experience will be better than mine.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner tonight and we loved our food! We got the waygu and lobster pasta. So delicious! The drinks were really good too. The dessert was incredible. A must try for a new farm to table restaurant!

Absolutely amazing restaurant. The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly. The drinks are something from another world, absolutely creative and very tasty! The names are very catchy also. You must visit. I actually have to go back to try their brunch menu.

First first time seeing this concept in NYC, great cocktails, and tapas from around the world. Ill definitely be back.

Discovered a wonderful new restaurant in the West Village...fun, sexy atmosphere (the bar, art work, music, servers), phenomenal tapas (sea bass, lamb chops were exceptional), delicious cocktails, and classic desserts. Plus we had a lovely visit to our table from Chef Pancir that made everyone in the restaurant feel like they were dining in his home. Put this one on your list of places to check out.

Had an amazing brunch today at Castamar. Met the owner and felt at home right away. Staff was professional, friendly and attentive. I ordered the Sassy Benedict. It was out of this world.

We were lucky enough to have the privilege of eating, drinking and laughing at Castamar during its opening week. We had a large party (18+) and the owner and his staff made us all feel special. The decor and vibe are inviting and beautiful, a bright, open, welcoming space filled with local artists work.The drinks set the tone for the evening; delicious, playful and memorable. Up for a giggle? Have the Breakfast in Bed. something more chill? Order Calming Sunset...simple, clean and fun cocktails.We made our way through the menu starting with a bright and tasty octopus, followed on with an umami bomb pork belly and a twist on the traditional crab cake. We couldve easily and happily ran all these plates back again, but the entrees were too tempting.Next came plates of aged wagyu beef, sea bass in a fresh cream sauce, pistachio crusted lamb, fresh pasta with lobster. All were fresh, incredible ingredients prepared simply and creatively. Licking plates all around. The sauces, so freaking good.Go. Go now before Castamar blows up and you cant get in.

The drinks were phenomenal, I had the mezcal drink. DELICIOUS! The Panseared Scallops were cooked to perfection. Topped by amazing service by our server Lisa!

A chefs restaurant in Greenwich Village. Everything was wonderful: the atmosphere, the staff and of course the food. The gnocchi dish with mushrooms and the cod dish are highly recommended.
