Its a bar, and its in midtown east. If you want to drink and youre in the area, why not!? Has some booth seats and plenty of tables with service. I count 11 TVs, so Sports! Two bars from which to order; that is nice.

Drinks were really good and the food was good and it came relatively fast. Nice environment with plenty of seats.

Bartenders here are on point 100% and the sports playing throughout the building are great. Will try the food next time for sure

This is a go to for meetups. Food, drinks and service are reliable. There are certain times and things you definitely need to watch for. The pizza is garbage, for example! Had lots of branches, meetups, even small celebrations here. Overall, solid place.

This is a great bar for groups, that offers cocktails and many draft beers. I like their selection of beers. If you come with a large group, I would suggest biking the area at the very end of the piece, which could easily fit 50+ people. They close late so you can enjoy your night. The downside is the fact that food isnt great, I would not suggest eat or snack there.

The food was OK, apart from our fries being almost burnt, which meant we didnt really eat them. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, which has earned this review an extra star! However we were provided with plastic glasses for our water, and 2 of our meals were served on greaseproof paper on plastic plates! Disappointing.

Hello Happy Hour! Awesome food and drinks specials here! This place is always packed when I go but I am always seated right away. The atmosphere is loud but the place is casual. There is a smaller room available downstairs which can provide more of a casual dining experience if you prefer that.

Liked it very much - The menu was intriguing and the food arrived quickly and was cooked and presented very well. The attentive service was appreciated as I visited during a busy Weekend Brunch. We loved the burgers and all of the items ordered.

Went here and had a table outside. The food was mediocre. Nothing great, but nothing bad. The drinks were pretty good. They served us water but it seemed like they used an unwashed sangria pitcher. I would come back for happy hour, but I wouldnt eat here again.

This bar is about two blocks from where I live. On my day off I decided to take my daughter there for a bite to eat. We thought it would be nice to have lunch al fresco. A gentleman set us outside proceeded to give us menus and water and that was the last we saw if anyone. In fact I went inside to inquire about a waitress and the waitress rudely and obnoxiously turned to me and said yes there is a waitress. You would think at that point the waitress would have followed me outside to take our order but that wasn’t the case. Instead, we got stuck waiting another 10 minutes still no waitress. After sitting there for a total of 30 minutes waiting for someone to take our order or even check on us at that point, I decided enough was enough and we got up and left. Needless to say I’ll never go back there again.

Tried this bar for lunch on a weekday. There are daily food and drink specials (we got a draft local beer for $5 and queso dip for $6), which are helpful for your wallet. However, I was not impressed with the quality of the food for the price (burger and a Caesar salad with chicken each cost about $15). This is likely a super fun spot at happy hour after work, but I would not recommend it for a sit down lunch. I gave 3 stars as the staff was very friendly and responsive.

For bar food, it’s quite scumptious! And they have a great selection on tap and drinks. From the bartenders to waitress, the service is quite superb, especially the flaming smoking Irish one and the blue haired bombshell! The whole staff is dandy even when the pressure is on and thats why I keep on coming back! 5 stars for the hardworking staff

I have been there a few times for drink after work, and as a bar hangout its not bad. decided to check it out for lunch on Saturday. We got seated right away, but never got any napkins or utensils, at 3pm they were still service branch and would not let you order from a regular menu. We ordered food, mine came out in about 30min the rest of my group were still waiting and waiting, 45 min later and no food and considering mine tasted like something out of McDonalds, we told the waitress to cancel the order and we left. I doubt i will come back there even for drinks ever again.

Had the best time Saturday, our server Jade was fantastic......great burgers and fun sports atmosphere. Great spot to watch your favorite team play. Thank you China( the manager) for making us feel welcome.

I hit this spot with a co-worker after work. Its a pretty decent sports club....large TVs, outside eating/drinking seating area, variety of music being played, the bartenders werent anything to write home about....but it definitely wasnt bad for my first time there and Im not a sports feen at all. Honestly it seemed like most customers werent watching the TVs and they were all either focused on the blazing music or enjoying conversation with those they came with....then again its Friday night so everyone was really relaxed. Theres a security guard who was checking IDs but the place seemed pretty chill so I doubt he was there to keep order. All in all....I had a decent time and I wouldnt mind going back!

This “sports bar” was blasting club music during Thursday Night Football. When I asked the bartender about it, they pointed to the DJ in the back. Yes. Apparently there was a DJ on a Thursday night. When I said “oh, ok so you’re not a sports bar,” they gave a bewildered look and said “we’re a sports bar…”

This is a fun sports bar with a full food menu and really delicious cocktails. They have outdoor seating and do brunch on the weekends. Service can be a little sluggish at times, but otherwise a fun spot.

Food is terrible, no one was happy at our table. Ive never actually sent back my food, but raw turkey burger is a health risk. A drag when we came here when theres so many good places in this hood.

My friends who know me will tell you that Im not a sports bar kind of guy. My scene is really more the coffee shop/cafe. But the few times Ive been here now, the service is great, the food is that greasy pub grub you know youre gonna regret later but youre going to love in the moment, and the selections on tap are just what I needed after a day in the office.

Decent sports bar but not my favorite Was much more expensive than I expected. They played Billy Joel over any sports that were on. Uncomfortable chairs and short staffed. Wings were good

Redemption is a dive/sports bar with daily happy hour specials. Ive only ever come here when Im meeting up with co workers over drinks. I like their parm/truffle fries.Minus one for inconsistent drinks (sometimes too sweet, sometimes extra strong), and dirty bathrooms.

Very nice place with a great atmosphere but i lost my portable charger and they dont have lost and found so i didnt find my lost staff.Nice food and so fresh ... French fries was waw and the sandwiches are sooooo delicious.

As a recent transplant, I’ve been searching high and low for my bar of choice. I scoured Brooklyn, and was ever so slightly disappointed. Luckily I found it quickly in Manhattan on 2nd Avenue. My friends invite me elsewhere, and it pains me to join them. Bars other than Redemption? No thank you very much! The connection between staff and patrons here is exceptional. They are like a family.I know what you’re thinking. “But Lee, I’ve been there and it’s just another sports bar. Nothing special.”If you were to say that to me directly, I would respond in kind by saying that you are DENSE. I would caution you against making such poor assumptions and judgements.Come on down to Redemption, and be redeemed!

Lots of fun sitting outside on the sidewalk under the cover of a sheltered roof. Food and draft beer was great. Service was attentive and cordial.

The best bartending in all of NYC is found at this bar. The girls are extremely friendly, pretty, and make one hell of a drink. Liz is a particularly good bartender. As good as youll find in NY.

Really cool bar with really friendly and warm bartenders. We ordered tequila shots and they were great. It was a wonderful experience. I was there on a Tuesday night and the bar had good crowd. The vibes were great, lighting was great and music was amazing. We also got a pair of free tequila shots. Definitely will visit the place again.

I walked in on a Sunday morning just to ask if I could watch English soccer. The lady (must have been the manager) comes out yelling at mewe are not open yet!. What did I do to you? And she kept on repeating it before I could even finish my questions. I dont want to be there anyway if Ill feel like im bothering you.

Awesome food and drinks at a great price for Manhattan. Away from the tourist scene. Must try the smoke turkey club panini or el Castro(Cuban panini). Homemade mac and cheese. See you guys the next time were in town from HTownTX.

I was told I could sit anywhere in the outside area and someone would help me shortly. I sat there for over 20 minutes and not a soul came over to even greet me. They didnt seem to notice when I got up and walked out either. I guess they dont need my business...

Tiny little Redskins bar filled with raucous, beer swilling, happy hour types. Plenty of stuffed suits oggling at the scantily clad waitresses that parade around in Redskins gear. Was ok.

WARNING!!We found broken glass in our ice water.In general the wait staff was slow, the food was mediocre, and the manager knew about the broken glass but responded...oh I thought we got it all.We should not reward this place with our business.

Went to this spot for a birthday gathering for one of my friends. Place is very cozy and laid back. Was there from 2pm-8pm and place was not crowded at all. Nice place to just chill with friends over some food and drinks. We ordered some BBQ chicken wings which was very good and the drinks were strong and not watered down. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a cozy place to mingle with friends.

Had a good time, but only saw the server once and that was when she took my order. One guy did eventually check on us and brought our food out at the same time. I ended up having to flag down the guy ( who was not our server) to place one last round. At this point I tell him to bring the check at the same time due to server NEVER checking in. I ended up paying on my card and when the tip showed up I clicked no tip, but I ended up leaving just $5. For to server to come out and ask why they got a low tip is unprofessional for one. Since they wanted to know I told the server we only saw her 2 times. We didn’t have a consistent server and we sat there and you never checked in. She ends up walking away while I’m telling her. I just feel like don’t feel entitled to a tip especially if you did make sure we were satisfied with the food or service. That one moment just left a bad taste in my mouth. Other than that the vibes of the place itself was very nice.

I will preface this by saying that when I went here, they were having trouble with their registers which I would normally not let influence my review negatively.The food was decent, I got the Redemption Burger with fries.The problem started when my group ordered water to drink. Almost immediately, I felt that our waitress lost interest as we were obviously not going to be a hugely profitable table. After ordering, the only time that we were asked if we needed anything was when our food arrived, even though we all needed refills.We finished eating within 30 minutes and chatted for another ten while we waited for our waitress to notice the obvious pile of empty plates at the end of our table.This never happened.(The restaurant was not busy at all)Another twenty minutes passed as we grew progressively more desperate: attempting eye contact, leaning back in our seats, getting credit cards out of our wallets.Nothing worked.Eventually (and this is the reason for the 1-Star rating) we had to physically walk over to our waitress and request the check.It was another ten minutes until we got our check, which was literally tossed onto the table.We paid and left.

Great place to watch a game. Great bartenders. They even have an area downstairs which is perfect to host a private event or a fantasy football draft! One of the few surviving fun bars in the area.

Just left this place. We were seated and basically ignored for 20 min. I suppose thats how you get rid of the odd looking people in the place. Another couple was seated next to me and my wife and they received water and a greeting in less than three minutes. There really needs to be a zero star option here.

I have been here for lunch a couple of times. They food is good and the portions are generous. However, they price it a little on the higher end of the avg price for the area. Indoors, the atmosphere is like any other sports bar and the outdoors is also pretty similar to what available around there.

No air conditioning on a very hot day, just had a few fans going at random intervals in the bar. Frozen drink mixer was broken. All beer and sangria we purchased were lukewarm. Happy hour Corona were $4 each and my friends ordered 4 (which = $16) but the waitress offered a special instead of 4 coronas in a bucket for $18. When we informed her the special was more expensive than the happy hour, she just shrugged and walked away.

Oh redemption.. good after-work midtown bar that attracts a crowd Mon - Fri from 4pm till late into the night. It has a fun communal table you can sit at with your friends or get cozy in the back / lounge area that is actually pretty nice when not crowded. The drink prices can be steep but tolerable. When it gets crowded, you know its time to get out - too many drunk people and the service deteriorates significantly.

Food is terrible🤮The table was moving everything was shaking The waiter seemed to be working unwillingly They said that there was a problem in the kitchen and they closed the kitchen the moment they brought our food. They tried to make us eat such disgusting inedible food to make money. Due to the problem in the kitchen, there was a very bad smell and smoke I will never go there again and would not recommend to anyone

I really wanted to like this place, went in on a sunday for football. The food was pretty good, and the waiter was nice but the two bartenders were inattentive and unengaged. Before the place was even remotely busy it was like pulling teeth trying to get their attention, and its not a large bar. After everything was said and done they overcharged us for drinks we didnt order and gave an attitude when we disputed it. Im bummed cause it seems like a nice place to catch redskins games but unfortunately Im never going back.

This place used to be fun but now its just not. The crew has a bad attitude, the service lacks, the food is not fresh and dont bother calling weeks ahead to make a reservation because they will forget anyway and treat you with a bad attitude the day of your party. If you just wanna go out for a beer, then this is the place for you just dont expect ANYTHING else.

When I went we were seated outside. Waited a long time for a waitress so I went inside the bar and asked for a waitress and nobody came. After the second time the waitress eventually showed up after another 10 minutes of waiting. The food and drinks were decent however when my friend and I went outside for a smoke and came back all our food and drinks were gone from the table. They eventually comped us the drinks but the leftover food we had were gone. I used to come here at least bi weekly but not anymore. I’m taking my business elsewhere where they are more attentive to their customers.

I always pass by this bar when I walk home so I finally ended up there one night. The bar is country themed and when I walked in they had a karaoke operation set up with the bartender belting out a country song.They have a late happy hour deal where you can get beer pints for $5 but with only half of their selection which was a disappointment because they advertise it to be all beer selections.I ordered the truffle fries but received the regular fries. Luckily our waitress caught that and took it off our bill which was really nice of her. The fries were just ok. Nothing amazing.The atmosphere is just OK. I dont know if it was just that night but I didnt like it that much. The crowd seemed like pretentious transplants. ALL of them.

The food is pretty good and moderately priced, and a solid beer selection too.The indoor and outdoor seating options allow you to enjoy your meal how you want to.Only reason I held back from the 5 stars is that sometimes theyre out of the popular beers on the menu, and when its busy service can be a bit slower. But thats to be expected of any restaurant to be honest.

Was looking for a bar to watch the Iowa game and stumbled upon the NY Metro Iowa Club 😁Being Iowa people the crowd was exceedingly pleasant. Place was packed for a Friday afternoon game, despite that the clearly overworked staff was attentive. Food was good but not great, the girls really enjoyed the fried Oreos.

Avoid at all costs.Unless you want your card charged (plus a slimy tip added) after asking the snotty bartender for replacement drinks that were ultimately just returned. Ill be calling management even after my bank rejects this unauthorized charge. Loud. Obnoxious. Easily 10 better bars nearby.

False advertising of half off beers. Im not even sure the small print was there. Waitress was nonchalant and said she was going to tell us but.... $14 for a burger with no sides. Fries and stuff were extra but waitress conveniently does not mention that.

Went to watch the US women in the finals of the World Cup and the place was packed with fans. Even with so many people to serve, the customer service was friendly and food was delivered in a timely manner.

This place is awesome! the vibe, the people, everything. I saw some sketchy reviews so I was a bit iffy about going, but then I realized the people giving bad reviews just didnt get the place. Bring good karma and good karma will follow.

Its okay. The bartenders do work hard but they cant keep up. They tend to hang out with each other or their regulars and give less attention to other customers. Food service was slow. And the bathroom situation is awkward because the lights turn off while youre doing your business.

Chill as any place out there, and in a very unique spot in LIC. Great charm and atmosphere with some of the best cocktails you can get in NYC - these are truly constructed spirits.The sandwiches they had as well - warm, toasty, deliciously simple bar grub that goes well with the drinks.

It wasnt the food that deserved 2 stars. It was the service. One bartender/server didnt even want to help myself and a friend but she went to the older men for tips. Thats one star. The other poor star service was for the other bartender that wanted to run like a bat out of hell and thought that she was getting a tip. It was terrible and I wont be going there again.

Id been curious about their brunch offering, having noted their prix fix brunch offering with the 3 mimosas/screwdrivers/bloody marys - something not too common in Midtown. Figured even though the reviews were mixed, it was worth trying once.When we arrived there, theyd just opened and it was basically just us there. The music was fun and upbeat, but a bit loud for an empty restaurant relatively early (haha noon) on a Sunday. Service speed was fine (I was curious based on the reviews Id read). Mimosas were a bit heavy on the OJ. My french toast was ok in my opinion. They didnt quite pull off the raspberry rum batter that it was supposed to be soaked in. It just seemed to make it a bit soggy for my taste. I asked for syrup to eat along with the berry topping and was instead provided honey. Mmmm not the same. My friend did say her omelet was quite good and they had a wide variety of options for you to include in your omelet. So perhaps the place would be better for those of you into brunch items of the egg-y variety!
