Great Taco Tuesday taco action here! $2 tacos on Tuesday and they taste freshly made and have amazing sauce with it.I come here to watch Knicks games and it has a young lively crowd that really gets into Knicks games.Games are fun and they have a pong table on Thursdays if you want to play beer pong and have a fun time!

Came here on the Monday night - they do have great happy hours - ALL drafts are only $4!!! The do have huge selection of the drafts . They do have half price of pizza too, but I didn’t try itOrder hot buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese that was goodBartender was really friendly and helpfulOf course I came because i was going to the old place forBurger.. but apparently they are closed :(Hopefully it will get much fun as it was before

From my very first contact until the date of our celebration, everyone and everything was exceptional. Julianne, her team, Erika😉, Courtney, Brian, Nick and the entire crew are all very professional, respectful, helpful and informative on all my questions and concerns. I definitely recommend going there, especially the private rooms. Great for nice gatherings, birthday🎂, divorce parties 🎉🥳🎊😉, pre-wedding❤️ or just celebrating life. Service was great, food on point, our guests enjoyed it all. Thank you so very much for all your attention and kindness. You’re all doing great 😊! Keep up the good work. The staff turned off the game we were watching five minutes in. We cancelled our food order. Then they said they would show another fifteen minutes of the game, and we didnt have to pay if we wanted to cram our food down. So we ate fast, ready to go somewhere else, but when we left they said, Hey, we decided to show the whole game so were charging you. A creative new way to provide confusing and terrible service. Nothing like eating bad good quickly because youre starving, and then getting slapped in the face.

Honestly a great time. Grace was literally the best server. Good sport for games and food. Taya and Nick also made the vibes so good. Will be back.

Nice ambiance, good drinks and friendly staff. My friend and I came here for a Taylor Swift party night (see photos) and we were not disappointed.The DJ did a great job in playing a combination of Taylor’s old classics and boppers from the early 2000s. I was very pleasantly surprised by how clean the ladies’ room remained throughout the night. Bartenders were speedy with drink orders. There was a great vibe, albeit it is a college crowd given the proximity to NYU.Both indoor and outdoor seating available.All in all, I would come here again for themed nights given the ambience, fair drink prices, and cleanliness of the establishment.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! I was super excited to see my friends on the fourth and was SUPPOSED to meet up with people inside this bar. Upon arrival, the bouncer asked for my id, looked at it for 3 seconds, and told me it was invalid. He refused to scan it and kicked me outside in the pouring rain. I am almost 22 years old and recently moved to New York from Minnesota. I politely asked why he thought my id was fake, and he REFUSED to give me any reason. I told him I would wait to call over a police officer or if I could speak to a manager to validate it and he told me to “get the f home” and never come back with my id. He continued to scream at me while I stood there with my legal real id. It was a humiliating experience. I felt like I was judged primarily based on my younger appearance. The funniest thing of it all is I recognized people inside the bar WHO WERE ACTUALLY UNDER 21!!!!!! Unbelievable. Hire a new bouncer that learns how to check ids and treat customers better. Keep in mind this place was dead on the fourth, further proving it sucks.

Really bad place to host an event. All the workers seem to hate it there and are very rude. Nick the bartender was good.

The bartender was very bad (very rude). I tried to order a drink that I wanted which was already taken care of by a female bartender. Then he (new bartender) tried to come and take my order but all he did was tell me that what I want wasnt its. Finally I called the same bartender (The Lady) and I was able to order. He was not happy with me and decided to let me leave the bar. It was a very bad experience. I definitely do not recommend this bar its not good manner. He ruined my Halloweenight 😒

It’s listed as a sports bar, so my friend and I came to watch March Madness final four on a Saturday. After arriving, we quickly realized it’s not actually a sports bar. We arrived around 8:30pm and the place had music blasting like a club, and full of 20 year olds. There was an area in the back room that had a sign saying NCAA Tournament with Sound. So we tried that, but there were ~2 small TVs and the sound was on, but the club music still took over the entire space. If you’re 20 and don’t care about sports, this is probably one of your go to spots, otherwise stay away.

The staff slays, the ambiance is so fun, and my server grace brought all the vibes. Love the social 🫶

Wanted to enjoy this place but the bouncer refused to let me in without an ID. I’m almost 40. Showed my ID on my cell and he threatened me if I didn’t leave. This happened on Saturday evening. Really low level employees working. Glad I didn’t go in. Stay far away from these hoodlums and go to a normal establishment with better staff.

Had such a great time here on a Wednesday night! Checked out their Supper Series featuring a pop up menu from some of the best restaurants around the area!Loved the live singer & vibes of the place. Service was great & food was delish! Can’t beat the daily happy hours here - loved the Social Butterfly drink!

Some people not like, that any pub have some rules, you must be not aggressive, not too much drinker, you can’t smoke to face of other people… so when you writing this reviews about, just remember your evening 😂.About this place, I can say for me it’s really good - at first cover bands playing excellent music, that Dj starts and not always very good set.Many pretty happy people, bar and food really ok.And I feel very safe here, unlike other places.

Very solid place to watch the games. Tons of TVs and almost every NFL Sunday game on. Good deals too though weekly specials are even better. One of the few sportsbars in NYC that doesnt feel too cramped and usually has space. Turns into a fun dancier bar as well at night.

I was standing indoors ordering an Uber and was asked to stand outside by the bouncer. When I asked if I HAD to stand outside to order an Uber (it’s November in nyc so I would have rather stayed indoors until my Uber arrived) the bouncer seemed to get really upset and started yelling at me. Really unsure of what I did wrong and felt so uncomfortable by him that I stood outside for an excessive amount of time for my car to come because I didnt want to stand inside. Really weird experience has never happened to me in nyc, I would have been fine to abide if it was the policy of the bar but he didn’t seem able to communicate that to me nicely.

My buddies and I have had live fantasy football drafts here for two years straight and it hasnt disappointed. The food was great, the drinks kept flowing (shoutout to Grace!), the private room we were in couldve used a bit more lighting but a great place overall. Definitely coming back.And Grace is the best. Thank you, Grace!

Graces BRAT NIGHT was one of the best events ive been to! everything from the music to the themed shots/drinks to the service was impeccable. it was such a fun crowd! I hope Grace is in charge of more events because this one was FLAWLESS. Best bar in NYC!!!

Worst spot in the city. Maybe they’re good for food but I do not care to find out. They SUCK on the weekends. I’ve been to dozens of clubs and bars in the city and this one takes the cake for the most unnecessarily aggressive staff. The bouncers will literally kick you out for anything just to validate their fragile egos. Everyone here is an underage NYU freshman or sophomore. I’ve genuinely never hated a place as much as this one like it fills me with rage.

Had a great night at downtown social. The music is music and service are excellent! Ask for Grace and Sam, theyre the best!

The bar tender at the back of the bar black hair was extremely rude to me as I realize everyone is drunk and loud it’s a club not surprised but she wasn’t being very kind I asked for seltzer and I couldn’t hear her well I walked away then I realized I have my wallet and cash so I asked can I get some water and how much it is she seemed very annoyed and angry by me then she says i want him kicked out but nothing came up of that I just wish the communication was better

Overall great bar food and service and music here is decently good. No complaints just good vibes.

Extremely rude and unprofessional bouncers. It was fine once we were inside but that interaction really ruined the experience for us. With so many other great options in the city, Downtown Social should take how their employees represent their establishment more seriously, because that bad experience ensured that we won’t be back. Very disappointing.
