I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time is at the 40th Street and the food was terrible because I feel like the cook put a ton of salt into the dish. However, the second time is much better we order the lamp steak, roasted chicken and a creamy mushroom appetizer except the chicken the food are delicious
I liked the vibe of this restaurant, definitely resembles a feel of a typical tapas bar in Barcelona, and looks like a popular date spot. Ordered a bunch of tapas, my favorite were lamb skewers and grilled asparagus. Gave 4 stars because there was just too much oil, some tapas were just swimming in it. Its not the best for people with sensitive stomachs.
We had a fabulous date here, and we were very lucky to be accommodated by the host in a beautiful corner booth. The Rioja is delicious, and we enjoyed the meatballs, octopus and some other dishes.
Great tapas place in Midtown/ Chelsea.Patatas Bravas is awesome. The service and ambience is great…Paella can be a bit better .
This was an excellent food destination for Spanish tapas in SoHo. We celebrated a dear friends birthday and enjoyed the tapas lunch special as well as the bottomless drinks. While I normally wouldnt dine at more expensive restaurants, and I may have shed some tears after having lived in Spain in past years, everything that was brought to us was delicious! We paid per person, about $29 each for the lunch, and they prepared the tapas to our party size. I am not drinking so I enjoyed a delicious mocktail, the forget-me-not, but my friends thoroughly appreciated the generous bottomless sangria in three varieties as well as mimosas. It was a wonderful way to celebrate! I highly recommend if you have the opportunity to splurge.
The food was excellent, the prices were fair for the quality of each dish and the size of the portions. The only thing we disliked was the service, the waiters passed by our side and no one took our order for drinks or food. I tried to call someone but they didn’t even look at us because they were talking to each other, they weren’t friendly at all when they were at the table taking the order, they didn’t ask us if we liked the food or how we liked the drinks. I’d give them another chance for the food, hoping for better service.
Love it! Will recommend this place to my friends. Service was very friendly food is great. And love the vibe! The octopus is the must have, trust me. Lol!
A little bit overpriced without a doubt and the food was solid but not incredible. If you havent had Spanish food in NYC, this is a good try if you dont mind overpaying for a Sangria
We ordered many dishes and loved the paella most. The place was packed and noisy even in a weekday evening. So don’t forget to make a reservation ahead of time.
We did a few tapas just by mistake as we were missing a spanish estrella galicia beer. I have to say that food is very good and felt like home, spain. Staff were very nice, fast, polite and friendly. Really good experience
Walked in by chance and had so much fun there! Really enjoyed all the food we had as well as the friendly service🥰 Paella was on point and totally worth the wait. We had the bar seats by the kitchen so it was kind of fun to watch the cooking in action as well. I’m not a big meat/ham person but the plate tasted pretty good! Loved the asparagus - they were perfectly grilled. Fresh and juicy! I would say we definitely ordered too much though. Next time I would have just one tapas in addition to the paella, and maybe then I will have room for dessert😋
Everything here is amazing. Usually when I think of tapas, I think of either junk food or small portions, but this restaurant proved me wrong.Sure, you can still get the “traditional” tapas, but they’re all cooked very well. But they also had some of the best paella we’ve ever had (similar to a Miami paella…we’ve had a lot of paella in a lot of cities, so I hope that comparison makes sense)The lamb skewers with the mint were incredible too. My husband loved the churros (nothing groundbreaking, but again, cooked very well)If I were to swap one thing, I’d swap the pulpo for another order of lamb skewers. It was cooked well, but I think I was expecting gallego seasoning (since it was a Spanish restaurant), but it was really more like grilled pulpo. If you’ve never tried pulpo before, try it here, but otherwise, I would have chosen something more unique. But again, it was cooked VERY WELL.Service is greatAnd I never bring up the price….but…I was shocked to get such good food for that price (3 people only $120 with a drink). And we were absolutely stuffed, too.
Food was amazing but the service needs to get better. We came on a Sunday 2:00, the server told us the happy hour started at 3 so we wait a little to order some stuff we wanted. First they forgot to put our appetizer, The peppers, and at the end they charged us full amount, instead of the happy hour prizes. We noticed when we’ve already paid, so the server just ordered us a desert, but we felt like it wasn’t really fair. Just saying, pay attention of the bills when they bring it to you!!
Honestly most affordable HH ive come across in NYC! Servers were really nice and helpful and food was super tasty!! I recommend the Mushroom Croquettes on HH!
Service was terrible. Lack of attention and unprofessional attitudes.Takes forever to order and get some water from beginning to the end.The chef was great though. Was very caring of little details for the food.Food was okay to good.Half of the rice on the paella pan was hard and not good very well. The seasoning was good as well as the tender seafoods. The patatas was crispy and good. The gambas was way too salty but tender like the seafoods on paella.Lamb skewer’s still had a bit of strong lamb meat taste.
I visitedyesterday with my boyfriend, and overall, it was a good experience. Ive been a regular customer, and I’ve always appreciated the quality of food and service.Santiago, our server, was pleasant and attentive throughout our meal. However, there were a couple of hiccups. It took a bit longer to get water to our table, and our paella took over an hour to arrive. That said, I really appreciated how the manager personally came to our table to apologize for the delays. She offered us an appetizer and even credited the paella, which was a lovely gesture.Despite the wait, I’m definitely coming back because the service recovery was commendable. Just a small piece of advice: it would be great to streamline the service to ensure a smoother experience in the future.
Great menu of Spanish tapas. I sat outside enjoying the last of the summer season. I got the olives, lamb skewer, and pulpo. The octopus texture was quite rubbery, the lamb skewer was fantastic. Good service
All the tapas were delicious!! I loved the croquetas de setas and pulpo de la plan ha the most! Next time I would probably pass on the charcuterie at the beginning and order more of the small plates. The pineapple sangria is also pretty tasty! I would definitely come back for another meal :)
Very nice tapas place to stop by , grab a bite and a drink! As many places, the table for two is too small when you order 4-5 dishes to share . Our waitress was great. I just think she checked on us too many times and was a bit overwhelming at times. However, I know she really wanted to take care of us.
Disclaimer: The number of options that we have NYC has spoiled me. So may be I am a bit tough in giving 4 or more stars. We ordered Octopus, mushroom croquettes, olives, seafood paella, eggplant, artichokes, lamb skewers, bacon wrapped dates. We started with some cocktails and ended the night with flan. Drinks were below average, Lamb and mushroom tapas were really good but everything else was average. As far as paella goes I have made better paella. it lacked a little bit of flavor. Flan was really not what I have eaten anywhere else. It was too bitter to my liking. The vibe overall is so good though and the service was good as well. Our waiter was sweet and attentive.
11/19/2022The sangria is really good. My wife doesnt normally enjoy red sangria and even she noted how good it was. Food was tricky for her as she is allergic to onions and the are very onion friendly. Tapas always gets me, it doesnt seem like its going to be expensive and then it is.I like the feel of the room but it is squeezed into a tight space, as many things are here in New York, so getting around inside can lead to traffic jams. Doesnt bother me though, actually creates opportunities to talk to other people. Our server and thier team were great, I should have gotten names. When they found out about the allergy, they were super cautious with the food and letting my wife know what was safe and what wasnt and they worked hard to come up with options for her.I cant say it was my favorite food but I loved hanging out there, having drinks, and feeling the vibe of the area... And there were items on the menu I did like, so Im sure you can find enjoyable food too. The garlic shrimp and mushroom (which i dont normally like) croquettes were my favorites. My son had the French toast, which was unique and tasty... It felt like angle food cake done up at French toast.
Good place for paella and tapas with great service, but would highly recommend to sit outside if it’s not too hot. The inside can become really packed and loud, with a majority of seating being high tables.A paella here is essential, order it right away before taking the time to think about the other dishes because it’s takes around 30 minutes to get ready (which is standard).Highly recommend to get the octopus dish as well.
Unforgettable Tapas Experience at Boqueria Soho⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Boqueria Soho is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the host and promptly seated. The waitstaff here are nothing short of amazing—friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They made us feel at home while maintaining the perfect level of attentiveness. Their enthusiasm for the food and wine was contagious, and their recommendations were spot-on.The atmosphere at Boqueria Soho is vibrant yet cozy, striking the ideal balance between energetic and intimate. It’s the perfect spot for a date night, a casual gathering with friends, or even a solo culinary adventure. Now, onto the food—WOW! The tapas were sensational, each dish a delightful mix of bold flavors and impeccable presentation. The patatas bravas and gambas al ajillo were highlights, bursting with authentic Spanish flair. The sangria was equally divine, refreshing and perfectly balanced. Our server ensured that our meal flowed seamlessly, pacing each dish perfectly so we could savor every bite. Their genuine care for our experience truly stood out, turning a great meal into an extraordinary evening.Boqueria Soho isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Whether you’re a tapas enthusiast or new to Spanish cuisine, this place is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!
First time in NYC and my friend and I decided to go here on a whim. We didnt have reservations and the hostess was able to find us a spot at the bar. Our bartender was awesome. The drinks were on point and the food was amazing! We tried the shrimp, tapas, paella, croquettes, and the fried potatoes and everything was delicious. Will definitely come back next time we are in NYC.
A piece of Spain in your palate, but Soho style. Nice variety of spanish tapas (small dishes) and some other Mediterranean type treats. A great option for both day or night if you’re wondering around the Soho
I was walking around in Soho and got really hungry, so I went into this tapas place. It was such a pleasant surprise! Since I’m not familiar with Mexican cuisine, I just ordered randomly, but every dish turned out to be delicious.
This is the second Boqueria branch where we ate and were not disappointed. The Tapas dishes were excellent the service was pleasant and professional and the atmosphere in the restaurant was happy and young. We enjoyed the food, the cold sangria and the atmosphere. warmly recommended.
Wow. Wow. Wow. Absolutely the best tapas spot in the city. Everything was so good but the cocktail 🍹 was epic. I cannot wait to go again to try out other dishes. ✨☺️
We came to the Soho location, reserved on Resy, From walking in to our leaving the restaurant the dining experience was amazing. Sweet welcoming staff, variety of delicious options on the menu.See attached pictures. I had the Seafood Paella, my husband enjoyed the steak dish which was on a creme of carrots. For dessert he had the Crema Catalan (similar to a creme brulee) and I had the churros w dulce de leche sauce. We dined during the Happy Hour (4pm-6pm) on a Saturday. The music was so chic, my hubby kept tagging the different songs with the Shazam app. I asked one of the servers if there was a dj or was it a music track. She said it was an AI program that detects the amount of people and changes accordingly. (Fewer people more mellow vs more people in the restaurant will play more upbeat music. The music was very lounge like if that makes sense which was cool. The lighting was dim, but still can see the menu etc.You can pay by scanning, which is very convenient.
Horrible experience. We arrived and were told would be put on a list to be seated at a table any moment now. We were never seated at a table and forced to sit next to the cold and busy exit where customers were bumping into us. We tried then to make the most of it by getting my favorite spanish delicacy “jamón serrano” to which the ham was not only partly purple but left me with explosive diarrhea all night. DO NOT EAT HERE.
Boqueria never fails me! Sat there for a Friday aperitif drinks. Sangria and red vermouth were crazy good. But I find their Patatas Bravas always a bit burned but goes well with the drinks. Happy hour deals were super cheap and I think you should try it!
Really nice cosy Tapas palace with a food menu with a wide range of options. Nice staff.
We came here because our friend recommended us to come when we are in town. Drinks are really amazing, I really liked the Copas spring gin and tonic, Sangria red, followed by Gambas al Ajillo (garlic shrimps), Mixed Croquetas and then PAELLA DE MONTAÑA (rice and chicken) for main course. Everything was really perfect. The girl who helped us with menu was also very helpful. Thanks really for great experience looking forward to come back. Total bill was 133 usd, it can be paid online via toast takeout.* the only thing that I dint like was the fact I had to hold on to my cutlery for the plate to be change which took around 3-4 minutes!! It could have been much simpler to change the plates and cutlery.
Excellent Wine selection and authentic seafood menu. A staple of Soho for Spanish food.Every time I visit always deliver, my favorite spot is the bar unless I cannot fit my company with me.Make sure to try the Octopus main course. It’s a thing of beauty. And if in doubt ask for a recommendation to Joel the Bartender. He always has the best suggestions for your food pairing or he will suggest an amazing cocktail. Don’t be afraid to ask for off the menu items.
My first time here for team lunch and my coworkers went all out with their orders. definitely need to make a reservation here, the lunch crowd came in by 12pm and took the kitchen longer to make the food so expect a wait. Our hostess was attentive and she made sure that we know they didn’t forget our order. We had the charcuterie boards, Spanish omelette, shisitto pepper, the fish and chip, Barcelona Bowl and of course seafood paella was the best part. The Exec chef came over to ask how was everything, he was friendly and down to earth. Overall experience is great, would definitely come back with out of towners or just a group of friend. Have to check out their wine list if you’re into Spanish wine!
From most of the tapas bars Ive visited in NY, this by far is on the top of my list. The grilled octopus is devinely insane! Good churros but the hot chocolate. Great, friendly, and speedy service. Note that most if not all of their ingredients are directly from Spain. Been here a few times and still in awe of the flavorful dishes.
Nice tapas and Paella!Their paella is a must, tons of seafood with shrimp, squids, clams and mussels. To be mentioned, the paella is rather dry and crispy, which might be surprising for some of the people. (Personally I like it)Their patatas bravas (fried potatoes) is also a wonderful tapa! It’s cheap and savory, comes with a great portion and super delicious! As for the prix fixe menu, I would suggest asking what’s in the menu to the waiter.I would suggest if there’s no paella or patatas in the set, you could switch to order dishes separately 😂A recommended Spanish tapa bar!
Came here for several times, food is really yum. But you better have a reservation for dinner, otherwise its really busy and no good seat. Brunch is great too! Recommend octopus, steak, shrimp, of course sangria!
OMG, their paella is the best one we ever had in NYC. We are so pleased what we finally found a Spanish restaurant does paella is perfect to our taste. Not too salty, and the rice not too soggy yet still full of flavor. We also love the grilled octopus, it’s juicy and tender. We only wish their portions could be a bit bigger.
Great atmosphere sitting inside or outside, best to go with a group so you can nosh on more share plates. The garlic oil in the garlic shrimp IS. TO. DIE. FOR. Im not a lamb lover but the lamb meatballs is a crowd pleaser. Pickled sardines with chips also a must. Although good, the bacon dates, octopus, and charcuterie plates can be a skip if you had to choose between more starters or a main. You might be tempted to stick with your classic sangria, but the white sangria with bourbon with charred pineapple is the best drink on the menu!
My favorite Spanish restaurant in NYC! Been coming here for the past 6 years and it never disappoints!!! Love the tapas. Garlic shrimp is my go-to. Also love the charcuterie board and the tortillas. Even had my birthday dinner here once!
The food is phenomenal! The service is great and very conducive. You can have a large party and order different food options and share.
This review is retroactive to my first and, for now, only trip to Boqueria back in Feb 2018.In terms of the food, 5 stars. We got one of the chefs platters where the chef decides what goes on the platter, but our group requested no seafood. Everything was fresh and delicious. And dont even get me started on the Churros. Wow. MUST TRY.Service was interesting. We had a reservation but werent seated until almost 40 minutes after. They gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne at the bar to kill the time which was a nice gesture, but the wait time was excessive considering we had a reservation. The general manager (Billy, I think) personally helped to see that we were taken care of. Overall it was a really good experience, thanks to Billy, the Staff, and the food.
Awesome food, great service, deceptive add-ons.Went for brunch: Great entrees. Bottomless mimosas were smooth drinking and 2 hours of truly bottomless (like I only saw the bottom of the glass for 20 seconds). The shrimp and egg entree (Reuvelto de Gambas) was phenomenal. The eggs Benedict (Heuvos Benedictos) was very good. Perfectly poached eggs, but covered in spicy paprika which was not mentioned on the menu, and I was avoiding spiciness, and the sparkling water was an additional $7.00, which was not mentioned on the brunch menu at all. They asked detailed questions about my food allergy and whether cross-contamination was a problem, so they understand allergies and their own limitations. I will definitely go back, and highly recommended, but will asked more in-depth before ordering to avoid unexpected spiciness and charges to my bill.
Tried their Soho location for happy hour and had a great time. We enjoyed Rose sangria, vermouth cocktail, shishito margarita and a whole bunch of tapas. Chicken skewers were amazing and we got a second helping. Bread with cheese and jamon was delicious. We also tried lamb meatballs, fried squid (fritura) and potatoes were all very good. Must try!
I found this place by not looking, I was starving and the wait was an hour, and I said ok let me go and buy something and wait. Well Thank God I did, cause I totally loved it. I had the chef’s selection. They ask you if you are allergic or don’t like something. I would be definitely return, but next time I will go to the other locations they have.
Excellent food and service. Jose is awesome.
Boqueria was the spot to be at many years ago, but the food is just average now. Some of the dishes were straight up disappointing. Maybe it’s isolated to this location? Either way, I won’t be returning. Garlic shrimp used pre-pealed garlic which is soaked in vinegar to preserve the garlic. Unfortunately it made the shrimp have a sour aftertaste. Patatas Bravas was soggy, not crunchy/crispy. Overall, left very underwhelmed.
This seemingly always bustling restaurant with seating galore was a good choice before we headed uptown for theater (subway is very close by). The 2 of us shared several tapas and enjoyed mostly everything. The gem lettuce salad with cheese and sweet hazelnuts was wonderful. The roasted corn was nice and great to accompany other items ordered. The shrimp dish was a bit oily and hot peppers drowned out the brandy & the squid tapas took a back seat to the beans, unfortunately. Dont bother getting the mushrooms, there are more authentic items to sample. But THE BEST dish was the pulpo/octopus, everything complimented well especially the braised fennel. Service was great too!
DO NOT SLEEP ON THE PAIN CON TOMATE. So salty, oily, and delicious, we ordered more. Weve been here a few times, and this is one of those restaurants where its hard to know when to stop ordering... because theres so many great options. Are there more interesting places in Soho? Yeah... but this should definitely be in rotation if youre in the area for awhile and likely easier to get a table at than other options. Surprisingly the Paella was not a hit... and does take a long time so was hoping for more of an impact, so Id suggest sticking to their tapas. Their meatballs, patatas bravas, and croquetas are all important orders :)
The food was good but it didn’t hit hit… not sure why… seat spacing was a tad tight
Seafood has gone bad. not worth it. i don’t say it was Bad service. Because it was NO any service.
Came in for a few apps. Made reservation and was sat right away. Service was quick and efficient. Would recommend
Boqueria has a great vibe and tasty sangria options. The tapas arent cheap, so be prepared to spend north of $65 if you also get multiple drinks. We ordered about 1-2 dishes per person for a group of 5, plus the smaller sized paella. We were stuffed, and had leftovers! Overall, the food is decent. Nothing to write home about.
Fantastic experience! Timothy was wonderful and took great care to ensure there was no gluten cross-contamination after I told him I have a severe allergy.
Timothy was an amazing waiter - one of the best. Food was authentic, portions could be slightly bigger though. Atmosphere a 4 because music was a bit commercial - should go for a playlist more in keeping with the spanish theme.
The paella at Boqueria stands out as a culinary masterpiece, crafted by incredibly skilled chefs. However, the dining experience was marred by a less-than-welcoming staff.
Great tapas for vegetarians, brunch is excellent and real bang for your buck - don’t know any other place that does a churro sundae as good as them!
Stopped by Boqueria for dessert before heading to Angelica for a movie. Loved their ARTA VASCA DE QUESO, which is a heavenly Basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was creamy and soft and melt in your mouth delicious. The one thing I did not care for was the apple compote that accompanied it. I just dont think it belongs. Perhaps a berry alternative would have been better. But overall an amazing dessert. Cant wait to come back to try their main menu.
Stopped by for lunch, and found it’s definitely a great spot for a girls day out, with a cozy ambiance that makes you want to stay. The Paella de Mariscos was a standout—it came packed with seafood and had great flavor. We ordered the medium size, though I think the portion could’ve been a bit bigger. Still, with all the seafood, it felt worth it.We also tried the Gambas al Ajillo, and if you love shrimp, I’d say it’s a must! Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and would gladly come back.
Favorite tapas place!!! They have fabulous servers and great food. I suggest making a reservation because the host is a little rude for walk ins.
I had a great time at Boqueria, everybody on the staff was very nice and friendly to me. The food is great and the drinks amazing. The place was a bit expensive but it may be because I am from south america. Great choice for tapas, I recommend the datils with bacon.
Had lunch here. Good food and service. Convenient from the SOHO shopping district. I would recommend it.
4 tapas (lamb, shrimp, croquettes and brussel sprouts) were just right for a lunch for two. Service was good and well paced and the food is prepared in the open kitchen
Came here on a late Thursday night and we didn’t have to wait at all. Seated right away. The waiter and manager were both super friendly. We were recommended to order the Brussels sprouts and parrillada. We weren’t feeling the paella but I wish we did order that instead. The meats on the parrillada sounded delusions but when we got the plate of food, everything was a bit cold and greasy. Only the steak was warm while the chorizo and “secreto” - pork was cold. The meats were all too greasy especially sitting on a wooden board without anything underneath. All the grease just mingled from the meats in a not so great way. However the Brussel sprouts, you can bring me a whole bucket of those! I hate Brussels sprouts and only ordered it to please my girlfriend but these sprouts changed my view forever. The Brussel sprouts are a must order.
My experience was good. We sat at the bar and it was a little loud but animated. We ordered my favorite Spanish tapa, tortilla española and it was superb. We also ordered paella de mariscos. It was really tasty but it is not your traditional Spanish paella. If you go expecting that, this is not your place. Service was good, a little bit overpriced for tapas but what do you expect in NYC? I would go back to try more.
Had a very nice dinner with my cousin and my mother, ordered a bunch of appetizers as you should, the octopus was on point, mussels were good, nice lemon flavor broth. I also had the meatballs the flavor was good, put wasnt my favorite dish, I just thought it was not juicy, and the meatballs them self should be a little bigger, that said all the potions were good for tappas. Almost forgot my mother is a vegetarian and had the torta, it must have been good because she didnt say a word about it and I didnt even get to try it 🤨 if my mom didnt like it she definitely would have said something 🤣 The service was great, had to eat outside it was packed and we still got everything we ordered in great timing. Of course we didnt get any Paella because that is at least a 20 minute wait, because thats how long it takes to make fresh rice! Im sure it would have been good, Ill try it the next time😋 and update my review. Enjoy 😉Unfortunately I didnt take any photos, I was so in to conversation with my cousin Letisha Marrero, she just wrote an amazing childrens book that everyone should read. Look it up... Salsa Magic Enjoy📖 😁
It was one of the best restaurant experiences Ive had in NYC, the food definitely lived up to the hype and price, the best Tapas and paella Ive had!
Our server, Giselle, was seriously the best- so sweet and great service! On top of that the food was tasty and brought out quick!! (Churros are a must for those with a sweet tooth)
The service, the food and drinks were all amazing. Friendly service. Great food and chill atmosphere. Andreas wasnexcellent!!!
SPANISH TAPAS! A staycation to Spain in nyc :) the food was interesting, unique and tasted amazing. Definitely on my list as a must go
*Brunch Review* Come for the amazing food and spectacular drinks. The service is top notch. However, this is a be seen brunch spot that is quintessentially an alcohol driven ego stroke rife with condescending patrons. If you want to get drunk and snarky this is the place and the time. If you want to share tapas and a good time look elsewhere.
Service was great.. the restaurant is a pleasant environment.. drinks were yummy and the food was amazing.. try the crispy potatoes.. so good
Excellent place for Spanish tapas! The Croquettas and Shrimp were amazing and the Churos were a great desert. Service was also great. I would recommend this place for a group dinner as well, they have a good special for trying all tapas which I highly recommend!
This is such a gorgeous restaurant. From the beginning, the service was excellent! The food is a bit pricey but its worth the treat! The music and atmosphere make this such a perfect place for a date or night out.
This place is amazing. Super cool vibes, excellent service at the bar and very tasty and real Spanish tapas. Basically it is now one of my fav spots in NYC.
Delicious food..! Just loved it, I couldn’t stop tasting those small plates of food. Great place for small groups.
Food and sangria were yummy, the server though, not so much. Crack a smile every now and then, make people feel like you actually want them there. Bizarre service, but a nice buzzy vibe
Highly recommended! The tapas were delicious, and while the paella was good, it wasn’t the best I’ve had. The sangria and margarita were decent, but had too much ice. On the positive side, the service was outstanding. Our server was friendly, attentive, and took the time to explain everything to us. The prices were fair, especially given the generous portions and great location
Absolutely delicious. And a great place for brunch groups. They give you a lot of options for large groups and a set price for 2 hours of unlimited drinks. Amazing paella. Definitely get the bacon wrapped dates!
Great spot for sangrias and tapas! Went for brunch and it was delicious. Highly recommend (especially with the perf location in soho)
This is a great place to eat Spanish food, great music and service
Very packed and busy Spanish restaurant. The food and Margeritas were decent, but super pricy. Not really worth what we paid, but that‘s probably just New York.
Average and quite American. If you ever had real tapas in Barcelona, this will not impress. If you haven’t then this is a good meal. Busy so make a reservation.
Excellent tapas bar. Great location in Soho. Go with a big group to try eveything on the menu. Everything is good. Is also pretty good for a romantic dinner. We got a bunch if tapas - all of them were good - the best was tge braised oxtail though. First time for me , am a fan now! Also good were the quail eggs tapas and the octopus. Good wine selection as well.
Its raining cats and dogs here in NYC, so I decided to have some comfy Spanish food at Boqueria Soho (there are several location in NY and in DC). There is a Boqueria in DC and I go there often. The location here in New York is packed, but as usual I sat at the bar and No Problem. A glass of Albariño, some mellow music and great tapas... With octopus.Plus, mushroom croquetas, pinchos morunos, pan en tomat, another Albariño. Great service at the bar!!What else can a human want?
A really nice spot with a terrific vibe in Soho. The food is fantastic but the service is the secret sauce of this place. We were lucky enough to have Jo Anne as our server, and she was just amazing at recommendations and ensuring that we had the best experience. Drinks were also great. If I had one thing to nitpick on, it would be that the albondigas were slightly overcooked (or maybe just overworked) but overall, this was an amazing experience, with an energetic environment and the food was great. Can’t wait to go back!!
Nice place 👍Definitely good quality tapas. Nice server too.Would go again.
The food was excellent, tried most of their tapas, and their pineapple sangria was perfect (not overly sweet)
This is one of my absolute favorite spots in NYC! Friendly staff, delicious foods and drinks, great location, and service!
We dropped in for a nice evening dinner. We did have reservations and were seated right away. The service was very friendly and helpful. We sampled many of the tapas dishes! We were not disappointed at all. A decent and fun atmosphere to relax and enjoy all the food.
Great food and our server and the managers were absolutely amazing!
It’s amazing how many times you can come and eat here and it tastes amazing
Oh man from DC to NYC . The brunch here is on point! Cant wait to come back. We had a large group so we chose 3 things or whatever and the drink with the gin. We were well fed and well drunk .
Great local chain tapas spot offering a broad selection of Spanish classics that are well-executed and reasonably priced. Service here is generally good, although can be less attentive when busy. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from this type of restaurant, but nothing exciting. This is a perfect choice for a casual lunch or dinner with cocktails and sangria.
Amazing tapas! Recommend the chefs selection pre-fix. Huge value! Nice atmosphere, make sure to confirm tap water so you don’t over pay for bottled.
Zummy was so personable and helpful, food was superb!!!!!!! will come back and he recommended DC branch so i’ll make sure to visit !
Excellent croquetas, good octopus, very good Spanish omelette and they have many Spanish wines and beers.
I had the most lovely experience here. Delicious food, and such friendly staff. They have an excellent happy hour menu with small bites. Would absolutely recommend
Great experience. The bar was a perfect seat, very attentive service.
A superb experience from making the booking, confirming the booking through to the dining. The weather was bad on the day and we turned up early and we were accommodated without issue, which was highly appreciated with our little one. The high chair is a seat that clamps to the tables, super cool and secure! The service was spot on and we selected a number of dishes from the happy hour special plus drinks. The venue is really well laid out with excellent lighting and space between tables.Hope to return in future when were next in NYC! 🇪🇸🍷🍺🧀🍅
Great place with a great atmosphere and great service. The food however I was underwhelmed with.
The Spanish tortilla was better than the ones we recently had in Spain!
This place is really nice. We walked in taking a break from the rain. I would say you definitely need a reservation. We whereLucky to get seated in less then 15 minutes without reservation. The food was amazing. Good wine selection. The place have a very nice ambiance. It was super crowded. But I think it’s the Sunday brunch. The food was superb. Everything we ordered was good. One thing is that the place is quite loud. The music is high. And it’s a bit hard to have a decent conversation. But all and all worth the visit.
Food is good but nothing crazy. Four stars because overall it wasn’t a bad experience. Churros were great
Boqueria Soho is a really good tapas spot. My mom is a very big food critic and only had amazing things to say about the dishes. The lamb meatballs and anchovies were incredible. Plus the staff is so warm and welcoming. Overall would go back for happy hour because it’s a decently priced.
This is the best French toast I have ever had. Amazing, 10 stars if I could.
Excellent Spanish tapas
I liked the place so much. outstanding service. food was really good. it was much better than many other spanish places we tried. i would come again
Came for dinner on a Wednesday night. The entire restaurant is high top tables, except for the party table in the back that seats 8-12 people. We ordered the Chef’s Menu Classics and a pitcher of the white sangria. The pitcher of sangria was essentially just juice - we ordered two shots of tequila to make up for the lack of buzz we got off of the entire pitcher which was served to us at room temp.As for the tapas, the fried croquettes, cheese board and churros were delicious. The paella could have been delicious if it wasn’t served to us after clearly sitting under a hot lamp for way too long.We probably wouldn’t have been so annoyed if the service and drinks hadn’t been so terrible. We didn’t order a complicated meal and again, mid week, were there for almost two hours.Would not suggest going to this restaurant.
Boqueria Soho was an amazing place to spend an evening with friends! We love shared plates and we had an exceptional variety of food! The octopus was the best I’ve ever had! We went with the recommendations of our waiter and it was outstanding!
Amazingly good food. Same as I had from Spain.
So disappointed by this place. I had a fab meal at the Flatiron location and wanted to take a friend of mine from out of town here as we had both spent time in Spain together. The food was almost inedible. The croquetas were cold, the pimientos de padrón tasted like soap, and the patatas bravas were burned to such a crisp they were absolutely black. Looking at others’ photos, we had an unusual experience. While we mentioned these things, nothing was done to alleviate this except remake the patatas which came equally as black as before. I will never come back here.
I cant help but to leave a review otherwise my mind wont rest in peace. Everything was AMAZING. From the service, to the food, to the ambiance. At one time during dinner we were talking about how we feel were in Barcelona. I would go back here over and over! The manager, Mr. Eric was so nice and accommodating.
This place is alright, nothing to write home about. The food is decent, but dont expect anything mind-blowing. One thing that really bothered me is that the staff seemed to forget about clearing the dirty plates from the tables, so you might find yourself surrounded by a mountain of dishes. And lets not even get started on their paella and even their restroom—its pretty disappointing.
We recently had dinner at Boqueria in SoHo and felt we were transported to Barcelona! The Serrano ham, potatoes Bravos, and garlic shrimp were all fantastic! We also love the chicken! The atmosphere was busy and upbeat, the staff were friendly, and the shishito margaritas were great! Highly recommend. We will be returning.
Made a reservation for seven on Friday, for an early dinner Saturday. Five adults and two toddlers. Everyone at Boqueria was so accommodating and friendly. Amazing food, and even better service. Small plates followed by a large paella capped off the meal. Cant wait to go back!
We sat down for an early dinner (or late lunch). Chose to sit outside even though it was a bit chilly. There were heaters in the outdoor seating which was great as someone who cant stand cold. Although it took us a while to get a waiter from inside of the restaurant, the waiter kindly explained the sections on the menu. What we chose to eat! 🌮Pan Con TomatePatatas BravasCroquetas de setasGambas al ajilloDrinks! 🍸Pina ahumadaMargarita de rosasPeacock (zero-proof/non-alcohol)
Its SoHo, the atmosphere speaks for itself. The service was fantastic, but man... the food was unreal. I ate at the Flatiron location the following night, the food was that good. I ordered The Classics and I cant rave enough about the amazing assortment of foods. Then the churros at the end completed the experience. It was scalding hot outside, and a hand-crafted Pomelo was exactly what I needed to feel refreshed. I would rate Boqueria 11/10 if I could.
Recent started a new jon in the area and researched date nights, paired a tour and a cafe with Boqueria and couldnt be happier. Fun choices of tapas, fun atmosphere and great value. Service staff was excellent.
It was a delicious dinner! The portions were perfect with a nice presentation. Noah, our server was kind and sweet. The only thing missing was the decaf coffee or tea. Unfortunately, we did not have the chance tasting the creme brulé desert as they were sold out:(I will recommend this place with no hesitation!Sam
Pretty decent tapas. We did the Boqueria experience and it was a good amount of food. The 36 month aged Jamon is spectacular and I would highly recommend that.
Server, food, drinks, and atmosphere was amazing! Can’t wait to go back!
Tapas were 10/10!! Cute date spot and also delicious food. I actually went here with co workers and still great experience. Perfect place to stop by if you’re craving some Spanish food!
A lovely restaurant for some tapas and delicious sangria. The patio is quite lovely and service is phenomenal. The atmosphere inside its also great with a moderate noise level. The food is made fresh and its rich in flavors.Staff is super friendly and helpful.
Shishito margarita was delicious and the churros were delectable!!! My waiter was a sweetheart and very helpful and informative as well. Great spot!
Good spot, wish the portions were realistic, but certainly tasty.
Paella was one of the best I ve ever had!Service was amazing
Terrible service. Orders were forgotten, wine took an eternity to arrive. Food was regular
Ive had better tapas elsewhere but the paella was amazing and the staff are so kind!
This restaurant is incredible! Best paella and churros I have ever had!
Great spot for tapas. Big place and a good amount of room. Good for a quick lunch as the service is fast. Overall service is great. Portions are good and delicious. Highly recommend.
I had been here twice and pence in the Boquearía UES and they never disappointed me. I always, always order paella. And why no? It is so good that I can’t order something different 🥘 The margaritas are also so good! The last time that I came here it was so packed and it was a Wednesday at 8:30pm. Insane 😅
Super tasty and great spread. Service was solid but a little cramped in and very loud. The meat and cheese combo board was huge and good and the lamb skewers were amazing. Overall really good and would go back. Not the best tapas I have ever had but definitely solid and good wine selection but not many by the glass options.
Great atmosphere and the outdoor seating was really nice. We had a delicious meal. Everything came quickly and our waiter was super nice. Five stars.
Food was so good, and the waitress gave great advice. Some of our favorites were the croquettes and bacon wrapped dates. The paella was ok, but maybe we just didn’t enjoy it as much as the other dishes since we received that last and we were quite full by then.
All plates were delicious. The atmosphere was vibran.
Had a great time at Boqueria doing the chef’s tasting menu! We tried like 10 different dishes for $52pp. Sangria pitchers are great & loved the churros. Great spot for a large group dinner
Delicious tapas and paella. Quick and friendly service. Id return. I enjoyed all of the dishes.
High energy expertly prepared Tapas bar with a great range of items on the menu. I sat at the chef’s counter tonight and got to see their staff preparing every dish with love. The focus was impressive and the food fantastic.
Top notch tapas in a chic atmosphere!
Nice place, delicious food, specially the Pollo Rustido & Patatas Bravas 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Our experience was great. The manager Billy and our server, Edmond, were fantastic. It was cold out and the only seating was outside. We decided to go ahead and eat there anyway but it would have been miserable. Our initial server asked the manager if there was a spot opening up inside for us and he found one. Billy was super hospitable and accommodating. I tipped the initial server because he checked for us and our new server, Edmond, was equally great. The food was really good and the ambiance was perfect.
I had amazing dinner with a friend of mine. It was both our 1st time going there. They had a really nice cabaret wine. We ate a mix of different apps from lamb skewers, shrimp and clams. We had churros & espresso for dessert 🍨😋Everything was delicious and we want to go back again!
I only ordered churros so I can jugde the restaurant only based on this single dish that was just bad. Small sticks that were very harsh and irritated my mouth, not taste at all, just hard sticks for 9$, do not recommend. Also music in the restaurant was louder than in club. Better take ones from subway station, they are better fr
First time back in a while and absolutely loved my solo dinner at one of the high top tables. Excellent vibe and deeply flavorful small dishes. The creamy mushroom croquetas were delightful, as was the savory gambas al ajillo - perfectly balanced garlicy shrimp in a sumptuous brandy-seafood-olive oil sauce w/ a nice dash of heat from little red peppers. The Boquerones pickled anchovies w/ orange were classic, but I added a drizzle more olive oil to balance as the acidity was strong. The olive oil here may be the best thing in the entire restaurant. What didnt work were the homemade potato chips the anchovies were served with. They got soggy and the seasoning didnt land. Regardless a fantastic meal enjoyed with some exceptional Spanish wines. The server was extremely well versed in thewine list. I particularly enjoyed the Aging gracefully Reto Reserva Tempranillo and Rich and Bold Valderiz Roble Tinta del País. The latter had a spicy finish which complemented the heat of the shrimp beautifully.
Boqueria was a wonderful experience! Our server was great! All the food was great except the meatballs- while tasty- was not very tender but otherwise everything was awesome!
The food was amazing. The octopus is our favorite dish, and it is always delicious. Manny was very attentive and friendly. I ❤️ this restaurant.
Surprisingly, one of the best bottomless brunches in NYC, which is such a rare thing. The food was great, drinks were delicious, service was phenomenal! I ordered dos huevos y más - such a simple dish but deliciously executed. The eggs were made any style, the toast was perfectly buttered and toasted, chorizo paired perfectly with t the dish, and the papas bravas were amazing! We chose to do classic bottomless drinks - mimosas or sangrias. I chose to do sangria for 90 minutes and they were great! Definitely could feel and taste the alcohol, unlike other sangrias that taste like juice. Our servers were great and kept refilling our drinks - a truly bottomless experience. We had many helpful waiters come to our table but Manny was great! He was very accommodating, friendly, and overall a great presence! He went above and beyond in service to create a cheerful and pleasant brunch experience.Would highly recommend Boqueria Soho, especially for brunch. They can also accommodate for large parties!
Perfect tapas every time, and my waitress so wonderful at her job. Even the hostess was so much more welcoming than any restaurant I have been to since the pandemic. Got to try everything!!
Potatoes bravas and dirty Shirley sangria were phenomenalensilada salad (Brussel sprouts)shisito peppers and escalivada were also greatolive oil cake was good
Service is very good and awesome food usually:)
They still got it. Ive been eating here for a decade more or less and the spring street location still has got its sparkle. Food all came out exactly as expected, service was warm but unfussy. Space was clean and warm. Bonus tip: they allow corkage for $25 per bottle (2 bottle limit or 1 magnum) so you can save yourself some cash if you bring your own.
Will was great. Food was great. Definitely recommend
This is one of my fav places ever. Their Jamon and mushroom croquettes are to die for. If youre going on a day like Wed where they have their 50% discount on wine bottles, note, their gratuity is calculated on the non-discounted prices so dont be surprised.
Enjoyed a lovely meal at Boqueria! Sat at the bar and received excellent recommendations from our friendly server. We tried the Pan Con Tomate, Patatas Bravas, and Grilled Corn - all fantastic! Cant wait to visit again.
The atmosphere at this location is great. I was there today for a meeting and a lovely time. The service was attentive but not pushy. We had a few drinks and appetizers. I enjoyed the many sangrias I had. Will come again for sure to taste more of the selections on their menu 👍
Had a wonderful experience at Boqueria SoHo. It was a packed night and yet the service was flawless and attentive, the food and drinks were delicious. We will 1000% be back.
This was my first time at this place and it was just amazing. Loved the drinks and food. Definitely a must try if you havent tried Spanish dishes.
Great food, ambiance, and service. We’ll be back. Paella is a must try, along with the porcini mushroom croquettes.
Amazing
Just awful. Used to eat here years ago a lot and was very good consistently, and the food is terrible. They expanded to many locations. Touristy. Lamb meatballs cold, not authentic, cured meats and cheese bad, eggplant dip cold/bad, not one dish was good. After going for years and years never again.
Not the best food or service. There are many better tapas spots in the city
Nice Spanish tapas place. Skip the paella..I really appreciate owners response, thanks to Billy, I want to provide further comments related to paella as he requested. I think paella was a little bit dry and prepared a little bit different than Spain. It could be to adopt the meal to American taste which is quite different, and me being from Turkey, I like the traditional paella from Spain. And I will definitely not hesitate to go back when I am in the area looking for a good lunch or dinner.
Fun atmosphere and great food! Shareable tapas have great flavor! I go the potatoes, lamb skewers and shrimp. Really good. Also has great cocktails! There was a little of a wait and nowhere to sit so we had to walk around for a bit while waiting but that’s expected on a Saturday night. Overall great experience.
Amazing tapas! Everything we had was delicious! Lovely wine too and very attentive, friendly staff. The only thing that spoilt it were their rules for the dining area, which seemed to be out of whack with the relaxed vibe of the place. So, just to warn you:1) Happy hour is only available at the bar, not in the main dining area.2) All parties of 6 or more must have their $50 tasting menu.3) You cannot sit down until all your party is there, even if the dining room is empty.I’ll be back for happy hour at the bar though! 😉
Boqueria is very nicely encompasses what it’s like to dine in NYC. There’s a certain liveliness and energy to them! Keith, our server, was kind and friendly! The paella was delicious. They let you know it takes about 45 minutes to come out when you order. Everything else comes out quickly. My favorite was the croquettes - round ones were with mushroom and truffle. The square ones were with jamon. Both were delicious! The pan con tomate was fine. I think would’ve been better with more tomato. The octopus was also decent. Had better but it’s not bad.Overall a bit pricey. But you’re not just paying for the food.
Food was delicious, and service was amazing! Waiter was funny and efficient, and kitchen staff was great. However, this place is more for conversation and small dishes with drinks. Don’t expect to get a huge serving. Also, paella takes 45-60 minutes, so order ahead or get some tapas/cocktails while waiting.
I give it 4 stars on the food because I loved the well cooked octopus and squid. The spreads were great. My friend ordered lots of different bread and salads with olive and cheese.I give it 3 stars because the service was a bit lagging and the space there was super tight. I will cut them some slack since it was Friday evening. Its definitely pricey but good delectable food to try once in a while!
Great lunch option. Went with colleagues and collectively got 8 different items plus dessert. Every single item was delicious and at a great price.
We ordered several dishes - the shrimp with garlic, mix plate (cheese and meat), octopus , Brussels sprouts with chorizo and salad with steak. The only one dish that wasn’t great was surprisingly the octopus. It didn’t feel fresh, it was very gummy and flavorless.Service was not great (it felt that they were very short - from the host to the waitress).
I had meal with 14 people and it was the most amazing meal ever. The food was out of this world. We tried so many different tapas. The portions were perfect. Everything was delicious out of this world. The server was great. Absolutely wonderful. It was on August 3rd of 2016. I hope he gets lots of tips. His service was spectacular. I havent been to a restaurant with such good service in a while. Thank you boqueria for making my special night priceless. Extremely highly recommended.
Food are delicious, but I dont like cocktails., Price is acceptable.
My husband and I stopped by on a whim for a quick drink outside. Davide was super kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The sangria was top notch!
Amazing food!! Definitely worth coming
Went for Sunday brunch. Excellent food, drinks, and service!
Nice ambience with great music food & waitersTried thegrilled octopusBatatas BravasMeatballsEggplantAll dishes were tasty
One of my favorite go-to places. Food is always amazing, staff is always nice and of course the spot itself is modern and aesthetically pleasing. Dimmed yellow lights set a great mood for a nice meal with friends, family, loved ones... Not too pricey and great quality. There usually is a little wait but they are very good with texting you when to come over and with time predictions. Love every bite!
-Warm Sangria was great-Food was good albeit maybe a bit over priced-Staff were friendly and attentive-We sat in the heated outdoor area but next time will definitely sit inside. My girlfriend was a bit cold despite the heaters and the outdoor area lacked atmosphere
Hands down the best restaurant I went to on my NY trip. It was a spontaneous find and they were able to seat us at the bar with no reservation, I cant recommend the truffle croquettes enough. The patatas bravas also, and the esquites, chorizo 🤤 everything was so so good
Service was amazing!! Food is great and we love the porrones on the HH
I celebrated my birthday with a friend here .We got paella medium size and it is a pretty big portion!!The rice is absorbed all the seafood flavor and it is very tasty!
The service was very friendly, oue waitress kept asking about our food or if we needed something, he was very good in anyway. The food taste very yummy, everything was delicious, some portions are fine others are a hit expensive like the boquerones are only 7 but are really delicious. The patatas bravas are very yummy but they can also add the spicy sauce on the top, well this is my opinion because I love spicy, anyway you should try it because the potatoes are crunchy 😋.I didnt like the mixed of croquetas, just I didnt like the bechamel sauce 😕.The calabaza was fine but the I dont like pork so Ill never try again in this way.The restrooms are in good conditions and small .
I treated myself to a birthday lunch, and my server was really sweet. The staff has been very kind. I will definitely come back here!
Brunch feast ($39) is a good deal if youre hungry and fancy drinking a lot of mimosas and/or sangria. A lot of the food was really good. I thought the paella and the hard cheese we had was pretty average, however. Service was great if a little slow at times (but the restaurant was very busy)
Incredible dining experience and hit it out of the ballpark all the way!
Amazing food and ambience, kind service and they didn’t rush us at any point I loved it here definitely will be back
Great food. Awesome service
The family was visiting from out of town and wanted them to experience different parts of New York. The food was amazing, but the lit churros at the end had a big hit. The pineapple sangria was wonderful for the not so young, and the interior was chic and comfortable. Definitely will be a repeat spender.
The ambience is pretty good. The staffs are nice. But it is one of the most over priced Tapas places in the city. They have many lamb dishes if you are into that stuff.I would not go unless its for business and someone else pays for the food. I would not necessarily recommend it to anyone I know personally.
Delicious food. Great service. Wonderful experience.
We come here all the time, so was very surprised to see such unfriendly service today. Walked it at 5:30 into a half empty restaurant with family hoping for a quick snack. Was told all empty tables reserved for a large party due in an hour. I asked if we could have a table until then since we needed to leave by then anyway. The hostess IO had an attitude and didnt feel like setting us up. Clearly just didnt want to even attempt to accommodate. Manager, Joe, was nice but didnt seem to want to help. At that point I spent too much time on this and didnt feel like giving the restaurant more business, so didnt press it and left.A very odd way to treat customers, especially regulars.
Great service, friendly staff. the sandwiches are amazing in particular but i’m sure all the food is. not too noisy either.
Great concept we had the brunch feast which included 7 dishes and all you can drink Sangria. The Sangria never stopped flowing. The moment you had half a glass the waiter was there to refill. We literally had to roll out of the restaurant as we were all beyond full. Highly recommend the experience.
Nice tapas place for night out. Food could be a little better. We thought the shrimps and lamb skewers could have had more salt but the paella probably had too much salt. Sangria was very good.
Great outdoor seating, friendly staff and great food. Highly recommend the Paella de Mariscos, you have to wait about 45 but its well worth it! We got the BOQUERONES CON NARANJA along with the olives while we waited. They also have a fabulous sangria selection.
Zummy was sooo great! Great recommendations and everything was so delicious. I was visiting with my husband and we loved everything. Will DEFINITELY be back!
Excellent. surprisingly good prices too esp for soho
Very good tapas, feel like Im in Barcelona, love the place. The dates with beicon and the octupis are incredible.
