Had dinner here and everything we had was delicious. Seafood is treated like the star, and I enjoyed every dish we had. The yellowtail crudo was standout. The raw clams and the halibut was spot on. Raw clams were clean and salty. Dessert was a great end to the meal.Recommended.

Came here for a birthday celebration! Excellent food and service! Julio our server was exceptional and very attentive! My partner had the mussels to start and I had the jumbo shrimp ! Entrees were the Branzino which was cooked to perfection! Skin was crisp but meat was moist! I had the Halibut and the butternut squash risotto was amazing ! A side of Brussels made the perfect accompaniment ! We thoroughly enjoyed the food to the extent we ordered more to take out! The Clam is a gem! They made our celebration and we will be back for sure!

Of all the restaurants we visit this is hands down our favorite. This is the kind of place you refer to as a GEM.Let’s start with the location on the corner of Leroy and Hudson across from the park on a tree lined corner. Summer, spring, fall all perfect times to enjoy outdoor dining on either of their epic patios. Time it right a the sunset will shoot down Leroy st. And light up the block like a movie set.The namesake is well represented on the menu from raw clams (not easily discovered on menus today), a pasta w/ clams in red sauce (amazing) or the sliders featuring lobster and fried clam strips. Beyond that there many other great options including two dishes centered on Farrow Island salmon. Mike the Executive Chef keeps things fresh and seasonal while allowing the natural goodness of the seafood to shine through.But all this would mean nothing without the staff. We are on fist name basis with many folks there but Carla leads point on the whole joint. Carla takes the words “front of house” and makes them “my house”. From the minute you walk through the door the team is 10 steps ahead. I swear we could walk in and say nothing and an amazing meal would be served, paired and on point.If this does not read like a restaurant love letter then I am not doing The Clam justice as it is where we celebrate everything and where we show up at 1:30 on a Saturday ready to let the afternoon escape us.

I came here on a Sunday for lunch (they don’t have brunch which I prefer) in early September on a gorgeous day with one other person. We made the reservation a few days in advance but it wasn’t needed as the restaurant was mostly empty.I don’t understand why the restaurant wasn’t packed because the experience was truly lovely. The atmosphere of the space is adorable. The food is delicious. My husband said the Clam Chowder was the best he’s ever had. Our service from Gaby was delightful. This a very standard seafood fare experience done well.We will be back and I would recommend.

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon, there was plenty of seating outdoors however seats in the shade were pretty much all occupied. Staff at this restaurant are very friendly and attentive. We ordered a arugula & cantaloupe salad, jumbo shrimp cocktail($5/piece), little neck clams (raw bar), seafood chowder, seared sea scallops and a fried clam & lobster slider. The little neck clams were quite fresh but a bit lacking in flavor, shrimps were sweet but did not warrant a $5/piece price point. Seafood chowder was bit on the bland side, and very watered down. The real highlight of the dining experience at this establishment were the entrees: the sea scallops were cooked to perfection, scallops were very fresh and sweet with a nice crisp sear on the exterior and right texture inside. The clam & lobster slider was simply amazing, the texture of the crispy fried clams with the lightly dressed lobster salad on the buttery slider bun was a delight. I would give this restaurant another try for the other entrees.

Everything was pretty solid. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Our server helped us making some solid food choices. We didn’t have to wait long for food or drinks. This was a great experience!

A delicious go-to that never disappoints. Great year round and their menu changes accordingly. Beautiful interior that is quite cozy in the winter, yet bright in the summer with big windows looking out to the street. Shared east and west coast oysters with friends; I got the salmon while they got the mussels and branzino. All were fab.

The food is delightful. It is fresh and tasty. Each dish is carefully crafted so that the flavors of the various ingredients embrace each other beautifully. The menu on valentines day was a prix fixe ($95/person). We were a little disappointed that they ran out of the Champaign and lobster chowder, but what we ended up ordering for drinks and appetizers was excellent. The entrées were exquisite. The desserts were on the underwhelming side so dinner did not end with a high note. The curd of the lemon tart had an after taste and I wished the crust was sablé. I also would have liked the chocolate bread pudding to be a little moist and the vanilla ice cream to be without the rose flavor. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was cozy and intimate.

Great spot for a seafood themed brunch especially if you want to pair with crisp wines. Oysters were solid, and the clam sliders are a must order. Service was very helpful and pleasant!

First time here. We stopped in for happy hour. They had drink and food specials, Tues-Sun 3-5pm.Service was good and the food tasted good. The only issue was the bread for the mussels was a poor choice by the chef. Bread should be lightly toasted, soft and spongy enough to soak up the wonderful mussels broth. The bread that you see in my photograph, was over grilled and burnt, also full of holes and didnt really soak up any of the broth. Hopefully they will read this review and possibly reconsider the type and preparation of bread, for this dish.We will return to try more food and drinks. And hopefully better bread ;)

Went for Valentine’s Day dinner and was blown away with the quality of food coming out of the kitchen. The service, ambiance and food are great for a date. So happy I came here with my partner! We’ll definitely be back again.

Really excellent. The lobster and clam strips slider and clam chowder were top notch, but the unexpected star of the show was the roasted carrots! Recommended all around.

Incredible selection of seafood options, with great flavors and surprisingly filling serving sizes. The sliders are a must-try and the French fries have the perfect amount of crisp. They have a nice outdoor seating section and the indoor tables feel cozy. Friendly service but coordination was a bit off (I had multiple servers checking in on our table and it didnt seem like they had a way of checking what had already been ordered). The chocolate cake was a little dry for my taste, but the cream sauce slightly makes up for that.

We stumbled into this wonderful Restaurant five years ago. First time back after Covid from Miami and decided to give it a second try for my Husband’s birthday. It was as good as we remembered if not better. Brice was welcoming and most gracious. Julio and Joey were attentive & knowledgeable and our compliments to the chef Joaquin Garcia for excellent cuisine and presentation. We are forever fans of this amazing restaurant!

Truth be told, seafood restaurants aren’t my first choice but decided to go to The Clam with my best friend on Christmas Eve. I’m so happy we did. We had many different appetizers to share. They also had a seven fishes price fix menu for Xmas Eve. While we didn’t do that, we were able to order the Fra Diavolo and Peekytoe crab & clam fritters from the menu. The service and staff were amazing, the food was excellent and the outdoor seating was great. They had heat lamps and even on a cold, windy day, it was comfortable. Can’t wait to go back.

Overall pretty good food in a quiet neighbourhood (street). We ordered clam dip, lobster arancini, green beans, asparagus, fries, halibut, scallop, lobster slider and ice cream sandwich. All good, but the potato chips for the dip were too salty and the halibut and scallop were way to pricey for the small portion you got. We were seated in the outdoor booth on the south side (the less traffic one; St Lukes Pl.) with a heater and a plastic partition between tables. The waiters were all friendly and attentive, but the woman escorting us to the table acted like she owned the place.

Excellent in every detail: food, service, atmosphere and a good selection of wine by the glass with generous pours. We were having a celebration dinner and this is a perfect place for it. Among the dishes we enjoyed for starters were potato chips and clam dip, lobster arancini, and peach and arugula salad, with halibut and cod entrees. We split a snickerdoodle ice cream sandwich for dessert.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had in nyc. Service was top notch as well. We will definitely be back.

Great happy hour cocktails and oysters were very fresh

Came here on a Friday night at 8pm and the place was at capacity, I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance. We got the clams and the swordfish special and they were delicious. The salad was pretty mediocre though (it was the only salad on their menu too!), it felt like the dressing wasn’t uniformly distributed and the plate in which it was served didn’t allow for us to mix it ourselves either. Overall, go for the seafood and clams and skip the salad. The vibe of the place was great!

Overpriced food with poor quality. Came in this Tuesday evening around 8pm, the restaurant wasn’t very busy.Ordinary seafood spot with extraordinary prices. So so vibes.The waitress lacks personality and charm. Hey if you are in a customer facing hospitality job - at least smile?!We ordered the Clam dip to start and asked her if we could substitute the chips for some grilled bread, she said that the owner was cooking today and she won’t bother ask him.I pretended laughing to make my guests feel at ease, but overall a bad experience, the only good point was my lobster sliders but I will not come back, sorry!

Delicious. Nice outdoor ambiance and an equally good indoor arrangement. Attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Well crafted menu with variety beyond just seafood (but obviously the seafood is the focus). Seriously good.

The crab, toast was great! The clams spaghetti were amazing, I added shrimp and it was delicious.

Excellent lobster slider combo. Full of lobster chunks. Toasty, buttery buns. Perfect fries (crispy and thin but not too thin). Great service. Charming spot - the table next to us was a first date and I see why they chose this restaurant (cozy and inviting on a winter’s evening with warm, low lighting)!

Excellent food. Seasonal and fresh, so Id call ahead if theres a specific fish or vegetable I was looking forward to. Love patio season especially. DEFINITELY make reservations if youre looking to dine prime time [Thurs - Saturday 7pm -9pm]. Otherwise, Id dine at the bar.

Date night tonight and this cozy restaurant did not disappoint! The service was impeccable and the food delightful. I dined on the Atlantic cod that was flakey and enhanced with the bacon aromas. Our server helped us pair this meal with a perfect sparkling wine that did not break the bank! I especially enjoyed the fact that I didn’t feel rushed which unfortunately is a feeling I get more often when dining in NY. We were able to enjoy the rest of our wine without the passive aggressive “Anything else we can get you” that you find in other places- so bravo, that is a commendable trait! Will visit again for sure.

Amazing place, a new seafood best to visit frequently at West Village... fresh oysters and great drinks

What a fun place!Sat at the small but comfortable bar for dinner with my wife.The drinks were excellent and well crafted, sampled a couple of them.Food was wonderful, had the lobster/clam sliders and the Halibut for entrees. Both were so good. I wasnt sure if the sliders would be, as I never get clam strips, prefer fried whole bellies at other places, as strips usually have almost no flavor. But these really had great taste, for sure they were very fresh (as I guess they should be from a restaurant with clam in the title :)Great service, even on a busy Friday night!

Love the clam chowder! It was great. The only issue I had was appearance. It doesn’t look to inviting when you first walk in. The table settings appear outdated and uninviting.Don’t be scared walk in and enjoy the food.

It’s a cute, small place. I came in with my mom for lunch. The rolls are amazing, a must try! Had the BEST burger of my life here (ik it’s a seafood place but wow!). My mom had the cod tacos which she said was great as well. Portions are huge. Oysters were fresh and delicious! It was my first time trying oysters and I will be back for more! Spent about $65 for two people excluding tip. Definitely want to try out their dinner menu soon!

Hostess was great, but wait staff were lacking. After my wine and water, I barely was able to get an order in as I was being ignored. Staff were to busy standing around talking with themselves. Overall, food was good. I had minutes to spare, when I finally was able to order something during happy hour. Oysters were very fresh. Clam Chowder was also good.

Very nice little place with plenty of seating area outside. $2 oysters for happy hour that’s not bad but jumbo shrimp yakitori is more medium and dry not with that much flavor I think $3 for happy hour is to much. I guess I have to come back for dinner and taste more food because atmosphere is really nice.

Truly delicious food and warm, attentive service. Loved the clam dip and clam chowder -- in fact, every savory item was a hit. Wasnt the biggest fan of the desserts (choc cake and apple crumble - both a little bit dry) but the overall experience was wonderful.

Sunday lunch was great, host was very welcoming and bartender was very friendly. I wasnt hungry but only wanted some snack, so I had Six littleneck Clams, Faroe Island Salmon Tartare and a glass of house white wine. I enjoyed vibe and restaurant ambiance. I enjoyed so much, food was good and I definitely will recommend to my friends.

Always a wonderful experience. Food and service are excellent. Not an extensive menu but everything they have is done extremely well. Tonights scallop special was phenomenal, really everything was thoroughly enjoyed from the shrimp spring rolls to the chocolate bread pudding for dessert.

This was our second visit to The Clam, we loved it the first time and it did not disappoint once again. The restaurant is cozy and charming and the staff are all amazing. Our server, Gaby, was outgoing, efficient, and helpful with both food and wine selections and the entire team of food runners were wonderful, as well. The food is well prepared and seasoned, in short, delicious. We will return again for sure!

I was visiting my daughter and brother in New York City and my brother picked The Clam for lunch. We walked into a beautiful outside area that was filled with amazing plants and since we had reservations we were seated right away.I have to tell you this first. 3 people served us not one and they kept coming back to serve our needs.We started with an amazing clam dip served with potato chips. Then we ordered their special rolls.I had a hard time choosing from the menu but we all decided to have their famous Clam Chowder which was a good portion and delicious.I cant give a better rating but I wish I couldP. By far one of my favorite restaurants in all of NYC! Julio took such good care of us and the service at the bar with Tony was immaculate. The appetizers were incredible, highly recommend the clam dip! A must have is the spaghetti and clams!

This place was fantastic for drinks, apps, and dinner. We went for a bunch of different apps vs the entree fish dishes. The east coast oysters we had were perfection. Also very much enjoyed the lobster arancini, and the crudo. The rose sangria was tasty and so pretty too! Ill definitely be back.Indoor and outdoor seating.

The food is delicious!! I always get oysters and crudite . I never dreamed I could write a glowing review of crudite but I am . They use what is in season and perfectly chilled almost to the point of freezing .. the dressing for the crudite is so delicious I could drink it.. the absolute must is the homemade Parker House roll !!! Five stars all the way. The service was fast and very friendly. Food was delicious. Really delicious. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. Especially good were the halibut and the Brussels sprouts. Also the desert was delicious, both the coconut panna cotta and the chocolate bread pudding. I definitely recommend it.

The Clam was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! From the food to the staff, everyone was so welcoming and friendly! Carla, our server, was extremely helpful with our selections and feedback/suggestions on each dish. The manager, Gabriel, came by to check-in on us, which felt super personable. The Startender, Pierre, makes the best cocktails EVER! Gerardo made sure we were comfortable at our table. 5 STARS! Shout out to the chefs for such fresh food & seafood. Excellent clams. The service was top notch. The place was packed and everyone was enjoying the scenery and the food.

This is normally our local, go-to place when we want to eat fish. However, last Thursday something was definitely off. My swordfish was rubbery and tasteless - so much so I sent it back and got the hanger steak instead, which was very good. My partners halibut was overcooked too. Whats going on in the kitchen?! We will probably go back at some point, but it wont be for a while. Its definitely lost its shine for us.

I was here for happy hour as Niko was holding it down by himself, still 10/10 service. 10/10 oysters for $2.. best deal in the city. 10/10 drinks. 100% recommend. 100% will return every week for HH.

We stumbled upon this fabulous restaurant while walking in New York. The place has a great vibe, the ambiance is superb, the staff were great and the food was delicious! It’s clearly well used by the local community which speaks volumes. If you’re in the neighbourhood, stop in and try it out. We will be back the next time we’re visiting New York 👍

Went yesterday. Passed by hundreds of times. Never went in. Liked environment. Simple. Staff was very nice and attentive. However, $16 for a bowl of chowder is a bit much. It was snowing and cold. The chowder tasted good but was more like soup. Very thin needs to be thicker like the fog outside. The fried clam and lobster slider was pretty good.

This is a great space, good natural light flowing in and plenty of outdoor seating as well. The problem I had with The Clam was the service. I understand that in between lunch and dinner can be an awkward time for a restaurant, but this is Manhattan! If you cant handle it, then close down for a few hours to prep for dinner. They were all pretty snooty and unconcerned as well.I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday early evening and the restaurant was almost empty, but completely unprepared to have walk-ins. No one greeted us, there was no obvious hostess, once we were seated we were neglected for a good 20 minutes. We just ordered drinks and small plates and no one checked on us, not once. That is unacceptable.We had a raw plate of clams and oysters, fries, and another small plate. Tasty, but not spectacular. Their homemade bread is yummy, buttered Hawaiian rolls. I wouldnt come back unless I had a reservation or sat outside where I didnt mind being ignored by the wait staff.

Went here on Tuesday night with a reservation.This place is crowded ! Had a Bird from Peru cocktail which was delicious, my friend had the Aristedes 75 bourbon based cocktail which was also refreshing and light enough for summer. Staff is really nice ! Got some raw clams and Clam dip to start though next time Ill stick to hot appetizers. The grilled Octopus was delicious. My Halibut was nice but small, I got a side of fries as an extra order. Salmon was delicious. Definitely get the Parker House Rolls !! These are great and taste like a cross between brioche and pretzel bread. Get at least a couple each, theyre $1.50 each. For dessert the Chocolate bread pudding was better than the lemon tart but ask them to put a bit of extra sauce on it. This place isnt cheap but its nice.

Went here for an early dinner and its a great seafood place, kind of off the beaten path. Start with the Clam Dip, our waiter described it perfectly as French Onion dip with clams. The homemade chips it comes with pair perfectly with it.My girlfriend and I split the baked clams, lobster and fried clam sliders, and the old bay fries. All of it tasted really great, especially the sliders (although a bit pricey at 2 for $24).Overall, a really great seafood place with good cocktails/beer, and a great ambiance.

Very very good. Had diner here whilst in NY and not disappointed. Food is very fresh and tasty…the lobster arancini are superb! Service is just right to not be too rushed or too slow…and with a smile. I don’t live in NY but I would definitely come back the next time I am here. Recommended.

Worth a 25 minute subway ride.The Clam was a very pleasant surprise. It was recommended by a client for a lunch meeting and Im glad I followed through. The restaurant is rather small but the table grouping isnt cluttered and it was delightfully serene, which made for a perfect meeting place. Service was excellent, food came out in a timely manner, and the dishes were reasonably priced. Standouts for me included the clam fried rice and the fried clam belly sandwich.

My dining experience at The Clam since pre Covid couldn’t be more disappointing. We sat indoors, the music can be distracting at times. We ordered fries+ 3 appetizers and the portions (except for Bibb salad) are smaller than they’ve ever been. BTW oysters are now $4/pc. Really?! For entree, we ordered seared scallops, baked halibut and a seared salmon fillet. All had 2 things in common: under-seasoned and 30% smaller than pre-covid portions. The delicious brick pressed roasted chicken is off the menu. We ordered all 4 desserts, spent over $340+tips on dinner for 4 in the end felt rushed and was ultimately told our time was up.The Clam is not what is was. They’ve managed to at least double their seating capacity by building out their front and side street structures. Doubling the amt of business doesn’t seem like proper justification to tag on another 5% Covid fee on top of checks (Not mentioned on menus or reservations)I’ve been there over dozen times in the past 5yrs, taken friends and clients there.. this was by far the most disappointing meal I’ve had there.

Delicious food and great service! They have amazing burrata, awesome spicy lobster, and great corn! Yes, I said it, corn 🌽. Outdoor seating during the summer but the inside is nice and relaxed as well. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner, and would recommend either.My only recommendation to the restaurant is to have a different wine by the glass selection, and to maybe add lobster rolls to the menu for lunch.

I had higher expectations for the service. It was an overcast day with a few rain drops here and there. We were a party of four looking to start the experience with a bottle of wine and half dozen oysters for each of us “right off the bat” Our waiter however, refused to serve us until we had decided on the full menu in order to put the order in at once. I understand the order can come in courses, but we simply knew how we wanted to start before even reading the menu. I quickly learned that the waiter’s way was the only way so we had to delay our appetite for a bit. That was oddly acceptable until he approached our table for the second time asking if we were ready for the full order - which we were not just yet and so I tried for the second time ask if he could bring us the wine and oysters while we read the menu. At that time, holding an umbrella he justified himself with a rather patronizing tone saying that it was raining, so he wanted to avoid coming out to our table to take multiple orders. Well, that is when the excitement for being there embraced the waiter’s discomfort and changed our mood. I know the situation with COVID is not pleasant for anybody, but we are paying customers sitting outside under a sunshade getting hit by some inevitable water drops on a summer night. It would be nicer if our waiter would not complain or reduce his level of commitment about serving us. He never returned to our table and bluntly ignored us for a good while. We walked inside to learn that the manager would be serving us. I appreciate the manager taking care of it from that moment on and serving us, but at that point we were unfortunately very distraught so we just paid the bill and left before dinner.

The food is sooooo good ! I had the Cod and it was amazing! Rhubart Desert was heaven!

It’s good, we enjoyed our meal. The food wasn’t particularly amazing - we tried the sliders and I think the fried clams completely overpower the lobster. The shrimp was good but for $5/pop I’m not sure it’s worth it. Some of the other fish dishes might be better but most of them are upwards of $40/entree.However, the resturant itself is beautiful and what stood out what the service - we were well taken care of with our drinks refilled/table cleaned constantly. In a time when many resturants are struggling with staffing, the excellent service really stood out about this place.

4.6 stars rounded up. Got lunch special: cup of clam chowder and lobster/clam slider. Slider is fantastic. Chowder had lots of pinkish, tender clam meat but I prefer a thicker chowder and this was tad salty. Partner got lunch platter. Shrimp was great. Quinoa was as good as quinoa can be -it’s not saying much but what do you want from quinoa? Spinach was td salty but prepared well otherwise. Both specials were $19. Parker roll was tiny and dense -not worth $4. Cucumber cooler was $10 for lunch. Refreshing! The place is perfect for sunny days. Outdoor seating is bedecked with bright flowers which I presume are real because the restaurant sells flowers.

I was craving some good oysters and mussels. The Clam delivered on both. The spicy coconut broth with the mussels was delicious. I almost picked up the bowl and drank it. Great happy hour menu. 2 for 1 glasses of wine. $1 bites. I had the deviled egg with anchovy. So tasty. Service was wonderful. I live a few blocks away so I will be back.

One of my favorite places in NYC! I made reservations for my boyfriends 30th birthday and then reached out to the restaurant to see if they could do something special. Mike Price himself wrote back to me and set up a tasting menu and included my two favorite things on the menu (the chilled 1/2 Maine lobster and the fried clam and lobster sliders). The service was excellent all night - attentive without being overly so. They even reserved a special table for us. It was a wonderful evening and the food was absolutely delicious.

One could go just for the ceiling. Its owned by the group that owns the Owl, they know what they are doing. Everything was delicious, great wine options and lovely service.

Quite possibly one of the best restaurants in the city. the lobster arancini is light and flavorful we also enjoyed the arugula and peach salad with burrata the flavors and textures were so well balanced with crunchy additions of nuts and toasted crisp the charred corn off the cob is a luxury version of mexican street corn with flavors exploding in each bite finally we finished with the grilled branzino which was masterfully prepared and was so juicy and full of flavor with a perfectly crisped skin served with brocolini abd perfectly cooked squash. An absolutely perfect meal . The wine list is also top notch as is their signature cocktails

The food is great, but the service is OUTSTANDING!! Everyone we encountered on the staff was knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind, and patient. The wine and spirits menu includes fun and interesting selections that are hard to find even in NYC. Thank you for a lovely evening out!

We are repeat customers. Some of our favorites are the arancini, the spring rolls, the codfish and Bronzino, but all the fish and seafood is excellent. Friendly and efficient staff.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR HAPPY HOUR. They advertise a good happy hour deal in order to attract patrons, but they will not serve you if you do not order food. This is unfair and misleading for what they advertise. Their restaurant was empty but they refused to seat or check on us since we didnt have a high bill. (Im not sure if their staff is paid enough?) We were told we had a time limit on our table which we were fine with (we didnt have a reservation) but we werent seen by our waitress for 50 minutes(!) after our first drink. By that time she told us that our 2nd round of drinks would be full-priced, which would have been fine with us, except that we hadnt been checked on by their staff in almost an hour! We first asked the waitress if she could honor the happy hour pricing due to her delay and she simply said no and walked immediately away. After complaining to management, they honored the happy hour price but didnt apologize, and instead were rude the entire experience. We witnessed the waitress constantly checking on the table past us that was ordering food but she was ignoring us. I wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone, and would recommend to go to The Warren or Hudson Clearwater across the street instead.

Excellent. She started with the spicy cucumbers grilled and marinated with minted yoghurt. He started with the seafood chowder with clams, shrimp, local fish and Yukon potatoes. The celery in the soup was crisp and the potatoes just the right firmness, the soup was a New England style but not too heavy on the cream, just right with generous amounts of all the aforementioned seafood. We both had the spaghetti with clams, sauce was delicious, al dente, generous chopped clams as well as clams in the shell, a little slightly bitter arugula on top was a nice touch. A terrific meal.

Came here for a fathers day lunch and the experience was lovely from beginning to end. We arrived earlier then our scheduled reservation time and still got seated right away. Our server was attentive and polite. The food was amazing! For appetizers we ordered the campechana coctel de camaron which was delicious! As well as the littleneck clams. For lunch we ordered stuffed clams, spaghetti and clams, and the la frieda burger. Myself and my family were all very happy with our choices. Drinks were great too! Ill definitely be coming back!

Friendly service delivers reliable and thoughtful takes on American seafood dishes. Brunch is definitely a winner. All the local ingredients on display from the bar overlooking Mike Price in the kitchen is pretty great too! Aim for a seat near the windows or the bar, and Id recommend the eggs benedict at brunch, and the clam dip for sure.

Excellent experience. The quality of food, even the chicken (surprisingly for a seafood restaurant) was very high, served by our friendly, knowledgeable and efficient server in a pleasant and clean atmosphere with a lively (but not too noisy) vibe. Great west village option. We will definitely return.

The server was amazing!! The spring rolls were my favorite. The only bad thing, the shrimp was not clean well. Everything else was great!

Went here for lunch because I was craving some good seafood, and this place had some good reviews. However I had a bad experience here. I felt like the oil used for frying was not that good cuz I had indigestion problems later. Ravioli was not cooked well, but when I told the waiter about that she was offered to replace the dish but I had had enough and wanted to get out of there. I was not charged for the ravioli though.

The Clam has phenomenal fresh seafood. Their clam chowder is among the best I’ve had - flavorful and creamy without being overly rich. Also, no sand! The oysters and shrimp were simple, clean and delicious.Also, bonus points for having Vinho Verde on the wine list.

Lovely atmosphere, and friendly staff to boot! Its so hard to find steamers in Manhattan- these hit the spot! Ipersonally love my seafood on the simple side, but Im always up to taste what the chef is concocting. From simple to sophisticated, anyone can get their seafood cravings fulfilled at this spot. Good for groups of four ish or date night

Undoubtfully a great experience in this place. We were there for my moms birthday and all I can say the experience was wonderful.Good food, good champagne, great service, excellent atmosphere, just a wonderful spot where one can enjoy without being assaulted by turrists in Manhattan

GARBAGEI came for the first time the place looked cool I made a reservation . Come in on time had to wait 20 minutes ! The host almost annoyed to get the table ready lol!We seat down the guy comes and I asked what he thinks could be good to start with !He said no don’t get the shrimp absolutely not ( kinda weird for a small menu of options to be told NO ABSOLUTELY NOT LOL ) it made me already feel a kind of vibe ! Like why not the shrimp!We ordered the clam dip which was a discusting salty pate’ of claims which it wasn’t even close to taste like it ! Salt and mayo and butter that’s what it tasted like ! Horrible !We got the lobster arancini a few small balls of no taste !Don’t ever go do yourself a favor bad quality food bad service no taste expensive!Very disappointed!!!!!

Ordered Lobster no sides thing seemed barely cooked, took maybe two bites before leaving and was violently ill for days after, service was terrible with the rude and irreverent workers not adding anything unto the atmosphere which already reeks of day old fish.

This is one of those places where nothing matters besides the food. Staff was friendly and accommodating, although I found our waiter slightly stoned-faced.Oysters: best oysters Ive had in a while. So fresh!Fluke crudo: simple, if you want to disassemble the fish, but absolutely divine and inspired. Enough for two people to taste and not awkwardly have to split the last piece. My entree, salmon, was to die for and I dont even go crazy for salmon. I sort of eat it like medicine, cause its good for you! But I really liked it this time. Perfectly cooked, perfectly flavored. My boyfriends dish, pasta with clams was also excellent. The dessert, panna cotta, was also outstanding. Cant wait to go back. And I forgot to mention the rolls they bring you between dishes which were absolutely delicious. Pricey but worthy!

Not sure when 3-5pm happy hour ends but I know at The Clam it ends before 4:45pm. We found a better place thanks to being denied Happy Hour pricing well before 5pm.

I have been going to this restaurant for several years now, and they continue to impress. The food and drinks are delicious, and the location is perfect for a night out in the west village. Perfect for dates and family dinners.

An alternate name of this restaurant could be Clams on Clams on Clams, although there were a few other options on the menu that featured other seafood as well as chicken and a strip loin. I would highly recommend sticking with their clam dishes as the name suggests.We made a reservation for 4 people a couple of weeks in advance. Our reservation was at 6 pm and soon after 6 pm, the restaurant was packed with a sophisticated crowd of West Village natives and a few yuppie couples. The space feels airy and clean. The ceiling is bedazzled with hundreds of pearlescent square tiles and the exposed brick added a nice rustic touch.We decided to start with the Campechana Coctel de Camaron, an excellent appetizer to share. The dip consisted of hearty chunks of clam, marinara sauce, lime, and avocados - delicious!For our entrees, we ordered the Spaghetti & Clams, Clam Fried Rice, and the Block Island Swordfish with a side of Asparagus. The Spaghetti & Clams was delicious and the presentation was nice - 5 clams around a heaping pile of spaghetti in clam spicy gravy with a leafy bunch of arugula atop the pasta. The spicy gravy was not as spicy, but more salty than I had expected. The proportions of pasta to clam were 60% pasta, 40% clam in spicy gravy.The Clam Fried Rice was my favorite and also less salty than the Spaghetti & Clams dish. There was a medley of pork belly confit, snow peas, and pickled onion that really brought a lot of flavor to the dish without being overwhelmingly salty.

Alright listen up folks, 10/10 on everything!!! The Food is fire, friend had the lobster hash which was mouth salivatingly good, I had the fried clam/lobster sliders which I’m pretty sure I could eat all day! We shared fresh iced oysters with a lovely house mignonette; buffalo clam strips were amazing, battered just right (ordered a second); yakitori shrimp were bomb, well seasoned and grilled to perfection; even the old bay fries were a hit! Lastly, The cucumber cooler was extremely refreshing, not too sweet & not too weak. I’m sorry for not taking any pictures, I will most definitely be back!SN: best time to go is right before HH; once HH begins you cannot order from the regular menu (that has the lobster hash and sliders)Music was also a vibe; RnB and oldies. The aesthetic was calming with a variety of plants all over and a very friendly and attentive staff! They’re doing everything right, can’t lie.

Ive been about a dozen times of the years for reliably great service and delicious food. Theyve done a wonderful job of creating a social distancing Covid aware restaurant, maintaining the high standards of food, wine and service.

Fantastic lunch. I stopped by while waiting on my passport and had a fantastic salmon salad with radishes and a local lager. Highly recommend. It is a great spot for lunch and also is taking legit covid mitigation precautions. Highly recommend.

Lovely service, amazing food! The clam chowder was creamy, tasty and just delicious. Prawns were super fresh and tasty, so was the salmon. I had a glass of dry white wine that was more than decent. Can only recommend!

Food was supreme here. I had the raw clams, fresh and presented well. Cocktail sauce was done with care. My main was spaghetti and clams in tomato sauce with arugula salad and a touch of spring onions, that was a very fine detail. The effort was notable in the food. Service could be more disciplined though, some staff prioritise chatting with each other over customer service. The dining room was tastefully decorated. Would love to come back but I live too far.

It was a Sunday raining evening. The place was packed. Many local go here. It was a great experience that atmosphere have a great vibe.

Spectacular seafood prepared all the right ways. Perfectly shucked oysters with no bite of shells in it. Fried offerings are light and not oily. This is the best seafood restaurant in the city.

Location is beautiful, food is top-notch, but Im writing because of the staff. As we were preparing to leave, I felt lightheaded and fainted. When I regained consciousness I saw that my legs were propped up on a chair, my friend was wiping me down with a cool cloth, and The Clams team was calmly instructing me to stay put until the ambulance arrived. They made me feel as cared for in illness as they had through an otherwise lovely brunch. They had the situation so completely under control, and were so kind, that I didnt panic or feel overwhelmed. Fellow diners also stepped in to help me and my friends. New Yorkers had my back yesterday, and I cant thank them enough.

We loved the ambiance and the food. HOWEVER, be careful as the happy hour drinks are for two people (2 for 1). So they bring you one glass with two drinks in it. This was NOT explained clearly to us when we ordered… the $16 drinks are for two people. We asked for one order of 2 for 1 and they brought us two but it was actually four drinks . They don’t seem to clarify. We had four drinks but were charged for 6. So Be careful. The owner was kind enough to reverse the one charge and that was noble. We will be back again ‘cause we loved it there.
