Its a college bar for sure but I like it (I love dives) I love the bottle cap murals and they have a really good beer selection. Bartenders/servers very from nice to nice enough(idk if youre looking for a giddy smiling face, dont go to a dive lol). Its a good spot in an ocean of over priced fancy spots. Food is pretty good too.

Great selection of beer and cider, and they do take cards with a $20 minimum. Our server was friendly and helpful, everything came quickly. The beer menu is overwhelmingly large, and they have more ciders than Ive seen anywhere else in NYC. A good menu for bar bites and food, which is pretty good for bar food. The decorations here are great though, keep an eye out for bottle cap versions of all sorts of famous paintings.

Love this place for the wide selection of beer. Check out the list online. Very casual. Come for the beer. The food is ok but we order appetizers to accompany the beer and have dinner at another spot. It’s next door to the Bitter End.

Really cool pub on super cool area, full of bars and nightlife. We had a beer here on a Sunday and we loved our stop here, prices were ok for New York and place had fun atmosphere

An obviously popular neighborhood pub, and a definite favorite with my work friends. The staff are personable and efficient. They offer a number of alcoholic beverages and snack options. They have the standard non-alcoholic (NA) beverages including NA versions of certain alcoholic drinks, flavored sodas and ginger ale. Friday nights tend to be busiest.

I usually enjoy the unique atmosphere of this bar, especially on Tuesdays when it hosts the local couch surfers group. However, my recent experiences here have been marred by the unprofessional behavior of one of the bartenders, Nicole. For the past three weeks, she has shown an increasingly aggressive and agitated demeanor towards members of our couch surfing group, and this week I was personally targeted.After being ignored several times, I finally got her attention, only to be confronted with a humiliating and condescending question about whether I was the source of a bug spray smell, said loudly enough for others to hear. Feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, I informed her colleagues that I wished to close out my tab with someone else.Despite asking her to give me space, she approached me after about 15 minutes while I was mingling with the group. When I reiterated my request for space, she doubled down, insisting she had done nothing wrong. As a patron, it’s disheartening and unfair to feel targeted and treated differently.Such behavior is unacceptable in any hospitality setting. It’s imperative that management address these issues promptly to ensure a welcoming environment for all.

Me and my partner visited this place, upon recommendation of a friend, a few years back after an afternoon at Coney Island.They have a selection of beers, ciders and liqueurs from around the world, so theres sure to be something on the menu youll like (but you come to a pub like this to try something new!). The staff were friendly and set up a tab for us before leaving us to our evening of simply living like a New Yorker for the time we were in the States.In terms of food we only had a platter of French fries whilst we sipped away at varying beers from across the world. They were tasty, not too salty and not soggy.All in all a solid place to go if youre in the city!

The alcohol is good and cheap and vice versa. The ambience and crowd was great and enthusiastic, belonged to all age groups. Hall of Fame is an interesting addition. The service is great and the people are attentive to your needs.

This bar stole my credit. Manager I spoke with did nothing and told me she resented my accusation. The whole situation was so sketchy. Be careful!Editing my review since their response has been posted. As you can see they’re highly professional. I hope this gives everyone else the same laugh it gave me.

Was sitting at the barService was good, HOWEVER; I witnessed 2 pints of Guinness ordered…. and the bar staff poured both in 1 pour. The 120 second rule was ignored (and the final pints looked as expected). Once I witnessed this crime, I left.Could’ve scored higher if this was corrected. (as service itself was fine).

I have been coming here with friends since 2016. I cannot anything bad about this place. It does get noisy as hell and crowded on Friday and Saturday nights but you can always get great service and affordable prices. Check it out!

I had a good time with an old friend at this pub one drunken afternoon. What could be more peculiar than drinking Guinness from a one litre Hofbrau stein? I would be happy to return to this pub in the future.

Nice pub but during peak hour (for example between 8pm and 1 am on a week end noght, a lot of people are present, however they only have 1 toilet for girls, which creates a hige line up to the middle of the dancelfoor… breaks the vibe. Go somewhere else!

This is a decent size bar. It has that divey, grimy vibe that I crave! The beer was decent priced and the chicken wings we ordered were very tasty! The place definitely gets packed but there is an ample amount of seats if youre lucky enough to grab one.

The staff is very friendly and the place has a huge selection of beer. My only complaint is that I ordered kimchi dumplings and they came out cold to frozen in a plastic container. I will say though that they tasted good.

Peculier Pub is the place to go when you are in Greenwich and crave the taste of beer. They have a large menu of beers of different origins as well as some special ones that they advertise at the bar. Service is usually quite fast and you usually find an open booth easily. The bar food is decent but you will encounter a line at the restroom on crowded nights. Other than that, the music is quite loud and the jukebox could definitely need a refresher, it is somehow stuck in the late 90s or early 00s. There is an ATM at the back but the place also takes credit cards. They are open quite late, also.

One of my favorite bars in nyc. Big beer selection, unique environment, awesome ambience. It can get picky. Waitresses can be slow at times, be patient if you have a table, theyll come around. Food is OK. Get the nachos inside or the food truck outside. Definitely a chill stop to collect yourself when heading down the over stimulated Bleecker street/Greenwich area

My absolute favorite go-to bar in Manhattan. Affordable drinks, great energy and an absolute killer jukebox makes Peculier the perfect place for a fun night out with friends. Dive bar energy but god tier vibes.

Been here some years ago and had a blast! Wall Street and hipster were raising their glass to a Madonna song from the juke box. Great spirit and great prices! Next time NYC - Imma be there!

GREAT if you like beer, and even better if you like a dive-bar feel. Their beer list is MILES long and organized by place of origin. Kinda loud when someone plays the old-school juke box. They dont serve the titular beer anymore, which is a little disappointing, but youll have no problem finding a beer to love.

Quintessential New York pub. First time I set my foot in this bar almost three decades ago I felt the NYC unique vibe. This pub still offers that with its international vast beer menu to provide its patrons a great peculiar experience.....

This landmark dive bar has been open for decades, over 200 different kind of beer in stock, generic bar food actually are pretty good. It got a jukebox from 90s, friendly waitress, local residents mix with NYU crowd.

So glad they are back. They have a few tables outside and limited inside seating. They have the full menu of beers and some of the same staff. It feels a little different but its understandable given the time were in. The food was still tasty and the staff was very happy to welcome us back.

We ordered a few drinks, with about our fourth round one of my friends didn’t like her drink and she asked if she could get something else (only having had one sip) and the shorter blonde server said “well I can’t exchange it, this one will still be on the bill even if I take it back”. My friend was kind and said she’d still have it and order something else soon. Then when she brought our next round, she passed my other friend the wrong drink and she cannot have Prosecco... had a few sips and realized it was incorrect and the server confused the two. This was all mediocre mistakes which we’re okay with because we all work at high end restaurants... but the final straw was when she charged the card we had on the tab for the final amount after telling her in the beginning it was a corporate card that couldn’t be charged at a bar. She then responded with “I told you in the beginning you have to Venmo each other”... that’s not how that works. And for a $53 included tip- we work in the service industry and would’ve tipped more if it didn’t seem like an issue for every question we had... not coming back- sorry

I really liked this pub! Lots of seating, tons of beer and cider options, and great service (got to the bar or get table service). I am not from NY, but visit often and will go back if I am in the neighborhood.

Awful experience trying to pay, total didnt mention if it included tax or not which made splitting the bill hard. The waitress wasnt helpful, just said the sales tax is like 8%?Like? That wasnt helpful. I think its actually 8.75% but Im not entirely sure.The burger wrap wasnt very good, super basic. Granted it was only $8 (w/ fries).Beer was neat

It’s the kind of dive bar where your eyes have to adjust to the darkness. And that’s what makes it great! Popped in during a stag weekend and had an absolutely spectacular time.

This is a really dirty and dungy bar but it has tons and tons of beer you dont normally see in a regular bar. It fits right into those Macdougal/Greenwich Village bars vibe. The drinks are inexpensive so the crowd has a lot of students and afterwork crowd.

Over 100s of beers from all over the world. Half working Jukebox, with songs from 50s - early 2000s, plus some emo. Just the right number of songs you need for a flashback to your college days. Standard bar food served in plastic baskets available.

I come here for a meetup where people. While the people arent idea, the bartenders are always very accommodating and will help you out. They have a bunch of things on tap so you can have fun picking out things. The place has an old school jukebox.

Super cool bar in the West Village with a old school vibe and a great selection of beers. Prices are more than reasonable and the table service is excellent. Ive been here several times and I plan on going back. They also serve food and Ive had some great french fries there. Stop in here and have a beer.

The pub is nice, it is noisy as it is supposed to be in the pub ☺️ I liked hot apple cider with whiskey there. They have a huge variety of beers, some cocktails and snacks. The prices are not expensive. Soo, might be a good place to hang out. I must say it’s popular among students!

Feels like you’re in a hidden underground basement but in a good way. It’s dark and the ceiling is low and there are many places to sit and drinks and food to choose from. A no frills neighborhood bar where they served me scotch when I asked for bourbon . . . My fault, I suppose for not specifying the Brand to point the bartender in the right direction. The table line up is like a college dining hall. If you are young and making the rounds, by all means put this place on the circuit. If you are looking to impress your date, look elsewhere.

Here’s the deal: this is a great dive bar. The staff can be sweet or salty depending on how busy it is and how you are, and the music can be too loud sometimes. Sometimes you have to tell to hear the people you’re sitting with, but I wouldn’t change a thing. 5/5 I go here all the time 🙏

Great venue, staff are great and the drinks are well priced. Really good vibe, we keep going back. Food is good but depends what you order. Onion rings are great and curly fries but the grilled cheese is disappointing. Just avoid that and youll be fine.

The place is an institution: they used to have hundreds of beers 20 years back, they still have a hundred or so left. Bar food is decent and service is considerate. Bathroom is too close quarters for comfort.

Good old fashioned village pub, decent selection.

I dont usually write reviews, but this one definitely deserves a 5 star rating. A friend recommended me to this place, and going here has got to be the best choice ever. The service was amazing and theres a wide selection of beer. Loved the variety! Plus, it was decently priced. Perfect if you dont want to spend a lot of money for high quality beer. Overall, the atmosphere was great. Definitely coming back soon!
