You just can’t beat $1 oysters for happy hour!! The presentation is great (3 sauce options & lemon on ice) and the oysters were wonderful. Decent size, fresh and delicious! The Bloody Mary was yummy too. A very casual, comfortable atmosphere. The service was excellent!! Will be back.
It’s crazy it advertises itself as an oyster bar. This place has the worst food and vibe—with so many tourists and drunks. The police responded twice for different people/reasons during the time we powered through to stay there—before we were finally able to get the bill. Hopefully, the place cleans up its act. It would really be nice to have a “true” oyster bar here in LES. Until then, the neon-advertised “Seafood,” just means the vomit you will experience if you make the mistake of trying.
It is also called the Grey Lady. My first raw oysters experience, and during happy hour, they are only $1 each! I was scared I would gag! The raw oysters are not gross but not that special to me. I also drank 2 $6 drafts of Big Wave Golden Ale from Hawaii. For someone who does not care for the taste alcohol, that was a smooth, fruity ale with no bitterness. I ordered the fish tacos, but would not order them again as they were meh.
Great place! Im not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Service was good with only 2 people working, which was surprising. The happy hour specials were outstanding and the oysters were fresh and delicious.Mokrane was great.
The oysters are good, but the price isnt. Theres not a lot going for this place that would salvage it from mediocrity or would make it worth the bang for the buck. A really annoying bouncer who had to be haggled with for me to bring in a water bottle (?? its not a club!), extremely loud music on repeat (literally, the same track on repeat, maddening), staff constantly moving around chairs and tables. The oysters were great, though, and served quickly. I wouldnt come here again. Terrible atmosphere.
The Grey Lady shows when you look up restaurant photos. This place is OYSTER BAR, only the letters for ER illuminated outside. The door is glass with a disguised handle. Difficultly level 8 to access the building. Rife with confusion. It was raining hard October 29th, I wanted raw oysters. Ice spice on the radio in the Uber. I was to get married in 2 days. I ordered 80 marine mollusks from the jump for my party of 4. Then I ordered 50 more. The waitress was in disbelief, then I ordered 3 cheesy crab artichoke dips and 4 baskets of fries. It was $1 oyster happy hour. Happy hour on a Sunday? Yes. Wow. I saved $260 because they were 1 a piece instead of 3. It was a Halloween weekend wedding miracle. Now I have more coinage to swaddle my husband in goretex. I ended up contracting bronchitis to no fault of ya’ll which I’m still suffering from but huge dreams were accomplished that day which I can’t mention here. Reference 29th St Tavern Baltimore review for more background on how gifted I am at finding oyster deals.
Great place ! Great atmosphere ! Fantastic oysters ! Friendly servers. I want to come back again.
We got robbed- and it had nothing to do w them but when the waiter came back to our table, he simply asked us to pay- we had every intention of fishing our drinks and paying but the fact that he didn’t have a single ounce of compassion was bad.We were not expecting discount but at least some compasión.When I brought this up to the manager he went up to the waiter add the 2 of them started laughing- I saw them thought the window- as someone who has worked plenty in restaurants this is inappropriate behavior-I will not be returning or recommending this place-
Delicious- fresh - so grateful this place is in the neighborhood. 💋
Service is impeccable. Friendly and timely.
A great place. The atmosphere is just what you would expect in lower East Side. Standing in line at Double Chicken please doesn’t make sense. The cocktails at The Oyster Bar are excellent, especially the Espresso Martini. A knock out. Don’t forget the oysters: they are delicious.
Bad customer service. Just stopped by and there was a sign saying private event. However, it was empty in the bar area and one of the young ladies pointed to the back as if the event was in the back area. When we asked if we could sit at the bar, this white tall man cut off the young lady and told us the patio, but it’s raining. There are ways to speak to people especially when you want clientele in the future. I always wanted to try this spot but I will never come here again and I will pass the word around to my friends.
Nice place with outdoor seating. Good oysters!
An absolute must when I’m in NYC. Best oyster selection anywhere. Head straight to the saloon and sit at the bar, oyster pan roast too if you have room!
Great. Great. And more great.
REAL good fries. Oysters are good too.
Really good sushi, incredible ambience, great experience
Great place amazing food and super helpful staff.

Great, big oysters!
THERES NO OYSTERS GERE AT 10pm.
Came here for the happy hour. Ordered a dozen oysters and it took them 30min to get the oyster to us. No explanation, nothing. Will not come here again.
