Loud, edgy, loud, indy - did I say loud? - performance space.Good club vibe. Great place to hear up and coming acts.Food and drinks are just so-so and overpriced. Staff a little too cool for their own good.I got to see a friends band perform there once.Amazing that it’s still there. It hasn’t burned out like Max’s Kansas City or The Mudd Club.
If you like smaller, intimate venues than this is the place for you. Drinks were very fairly priced and they had a lot of options. A HUGE plus is the coat check - something you don’t find all too often when going out nowadays. Would definitely go back to this venue! Had an absolutely blast.
Venue has good lighting and sound, but is very small. I didnt particularly like walking down a narrow area to enter the music venue. Its a cute spot for small shows, but can get pretty uncomfortable for sold out shows. Band pictured is Modernlove. Cheers.
Incredible atmosphere! Walked in randomly on a Friday night, got to see three awesome bands perform in an intimate space with great sound and ambience, as well as friendly people! Just keep doing more of it, nothing to ask for!
I saw Kire (hes a taiwanese independent artist) last night and it was amazing. its small and intimate venue which is really nice and i prefer. theres a coat check as well and a bar
Dope little indie venue that holds about 200. Mostly standing room only, but awesome, intimate place to see live music! Great acoustics and sound system as well!
Great music bands performing tonight for 30 minutes. The Dye was great. The space is large with a bar at the front entrance. Cover charge at door is $15 in cash. You can pay online but theres a fee. We paid at the door. Theyve a free water fountain & cups so ok if you dont want to buy anything after you get inside.
Still one of the all-time best clubs in Manhattan. Just small enough, excellent sound, great staff. Love it. If you have a favorite band and they just happen to be playing at “The Merc”, you are in for a treat.
A fun, small venue. We went to see The Greenstreets there. Fun show.
We saw Buffalo Nichols here. An intimate place to see a show. Probably more intimate than Buffalo Nichols wanted.
Went last night to see the new incarnation of Liz Cooper, first concert in 15 months. I miss the laid-back, rambling style of her with the Stampede but it was an excellent show nonetheless. In any case the mercury lounge is a storied venue with lots of history and a good enough sound system for the type of shows they put on. A beer was $9.
A few decades old, this venue was and still is the place to see up and comers plus local bands. The price is low and never really reaches $30. I cant say anything about drinks but there are courtesy cups of water if needed. Mens restroom is decent. I know before the pandemic the place was washed down around noon. Staff is friendly, the door guys are very good people. A few buses nearby (M14, 21, 9) and the F train a few blocks over.
Intimate live venue located in lower Manhattan. It has been around for many years. Numerous local and international bands regularly play on its stage. There are no barriers, so that the audience can actually get close to the musicians. Tickets to shows usually cost less than $20. There are bathrooms available, and there is also a bar. Staff are professional and friendly. There are also couches lining the walls near the stage.
Good draft beer and concert
A delicious beer, a very cool space, with an old school vibe. It’s the sort of place someone from behind you hands you a beer to pass to the lead singer. That sort of vibe. Very chill, nice folks. And the show I saw was excellent — awesome sound, and when it got a bit hot they kicked on the AC. All around great time.
Came here for a concert. Space was nice and intimate, acoustics and sound was exceptional, really felt like we were with the band. But quite possibly the worst lighting i have seen in a venue. Bright studio lights shine directly into your retinas, so annoying.Carry sunglasses, or avoid if sensitive to light.
Straightforward intimate venue with a cute bar. Sound quality was great.
Its tickets are pricy, though I get it. Also, it was like a sauna in there, and management didnt turn on the AC until the show was almost over, even though the band was verbal about it. Great sound, though.
The music was great, and they have benches up against the wall which they’ll reserve for you if you ask.
Might be nice if the bouncer in the AC/DC shirt didn’t aggressively scream at people for attempting to finish their cup of water on the way out of a show.
Ive been here a couple times and its consistently so much fun. The bands here are great, I saw Sub Radio and Anna Sun, the bartenders are nice, and the space is amazing.
Great space. Only thing is I’ve been here twice and the beer is either flat or tastes metallic like they don’t maintain their taps. For $20 a beer I expect more.
Theres a reasonable security check at the entrance. Although they didnt allow my disposable water bottle inside. Theres bar and place for live music, although not enough Seats for the tickets purchased. This will be a place for aspirant singers/stars. I got a chance to listen to Zia. Its wonderful.Vibrant crowd in here, polite staff.
One of the most intimate and prolific music venues in the country. See anyone here that you can.
It was a nice cozy scene with indie bands playing got to see my friend playing with his band Blanket Approval had a good time!
Great venue in New York City which hosts live bands and sometimes even New wave dance events. Nice intimate small sized room attracting some great less known bands and love it. Bar area is outside the concert area and while crowded, they are quick to serve. Drink prices were moderate - hey its NYC. The concert room can probably hold about 300 or so ... Saw a band called APB from Scotland play there and had such a great time. Check it out for a nice cool groove concert or dance event!!
Went for a concert. While the performance was great, the venue was a bit tight and stuffy. There were also people vaping in the audience.
First time seeing somebody perform at this venue so take my review with a grain of salt but ... my main complaint would just be the drinks , personally i didnt feel they were mixed well. The bartenders were nice just didnt feel like they were amazing. But the venue itself is a decent size. I like that they had couches lining the walls, very comfortable. I would possibly go back to this venue if I wasnt drinking
Just went there for the first time last night to see this incredibly talented reggae band called the Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad. Great space on the Lower East Side
Great small venue for our concert - not too crowded!
Band was great.Bar had 8 or 10 percent credit card charge above cash price and they did not accept cash when I offered. Bartender was dismissive on the matter. Will take my group elsewhere in future.
A great venue to see new artists perform in a big but not too-big space
Got a few drinks. Cash price $50 but card price $55. 10% credit card fee?? And bartender said they don’t take cash! Asked both the bartender and gentlemen at front desk but neither seemed to care.Go elsewhere!
Had fun here for a concert, everything was great
Great bar, was very packed due to Goth/Industrial night, yet the bartender still got me in a timely fashion. Looks great and has an awesome vibe. Would definitely recommend on a slightly slower night to really enjoy it.
Place is great to see a show. Music is well balanced given a moment for the engineer to do their thing. Prices are a bit much yet service is quick and just moving on which is fine for the volume they have. Id assume customers dont tip well which is a shame. The venue should pay their bartender more hourly.
This place continues to go downhill. The worst aspect of this bar is the staff and that being mostly the door people and security. They are rude and treat people with no respect. This is a dive-bar with staff acting like it is a top-notch club. The crowd is no longer that great and I recently had friends that were thrown out for no reason at all - they were not drunk and they were not bothering anyone. That is not the way to treat paying patrons that have supported events and bands at The Red Party held at that this place. The music is also been getting worse with time and no longer follows the theme set by its ads. The djs are not good at all and considering the staff that work this place you will be better off going elsewhere. If I could give The Mercury Lounge zero stars I would.
Excellent venue for an intimate evening of music...no crowding, staff very cordial...will definitely return.
I have seen some incredible sows here. Red clay strays, Nolan taylor, dale hollow, all great. Great sound and reasonably priced drinks for New York. The bartenders are very nice - would recommend
I had an amazing time here. Stumbled upon an amazing set of local artists, and more importantly, true entertainers.
I have always loved mercury lounge, but I recently went to a show here and after the show I ended up getting drunk, which is extremely uncommon for me, the bartender and security guard both saw my state, offered me free waters and genuinely just made me feel safe in a scary drunk state. Its not common for places to make you feel safe, but I just really appreciated the niceness from them in that moment.
This old venue is still alive and well with the sounds of music! It’s amazing how these small music spaces create an intimate moment with musicians who perform here.I came to see a local Nashville band, Arlie, here! For people who are on the comp list (guest list), it’s very easy for the staff to find your name and verify that you have comp tickets. Otherwise, you can sometimes buy tickets at the door if not sold out. This venue does several shows a night: an early show starting at 6pm, and late show starting at 9:30, and a late show that starts around midnight! The room is intimate with the outer walls lined with sofas. But with how good the music is, you’ll want to stand by the stage! The acoustics are fantastic - the sound engineers properly mix the music to be loud yet balanced and not hurting one’s ears.
One enters an oblong bar area, well stickied with everything fit which. a serious drinker could. At the far end there is a doorway that leads into a large space suitable for dancing to live DJ entertainment or to viewing band performances from the raised stage. The layout and careful management add up to a good experience at reasonable NYC prices.
One of the best live music rooms in NYC, full stop. Intimate size, great sound, easy neighborhood. Drinks are a little expensive these days, but I guess that’s happening everywhere. The Mercury Lounge is reliably awesome.
Perfect venue and space! My brother has performed many gigs here and it’s always top notch
Still a great venue for great bands. Tookes-The brother and sister duo killed it.
I went on Saturday to see a buddy’s band play. There was a particularly great bartender (brunette with a cropped bob haircut, didn’t get her name) who was super efficient, attentive, and nice. I hope everyone tips her extra well! Fastest service I’ve ever had at a music venue, no exaggeration.
Interesting establishment, a small bar and stage area. I attended a local concert. Covid vaccination status was confirmed at the door. The concert was well attended. The sound and stage was nicely done for the performers. I did not have the opportunity to sit at the bar, but did see that hey serve local beers and drinks.
Great NYC landmark. Simple professional drinks and a great show. Then a sandwich at the deli on the corner. No paparazzi Awesome!
The place was is always packed whenever Ive been there for a show. Its just an open area as far as the venue is concerned. The sound was a tad muffled I thought - not *bad* but not the best. The performance area is essentially a plain black-walled room. It works, but it couldve used perhaps a bit of personality?Anyhow, theres a bar area as you walk in, and then past coat check, theres a door to enter into the performance venue. Tucked inside to the left youll find a smaller bar area as well - just in case you dont want to bother to go out after the show has started. Nice gesture. My main complaint though was the temperature. Goodness it was a sauna in there. There were so many bodies in there (show was sold out) and I couldnt understand why they couldnt get a bit more air circulating? Hard to be too upset with live music though - at least it wasnt a ridiculously tiny space. Bonus points for that.
Went to see a band play. Venue was great, nice and small so there wasn’t a bad place to stand in the place, clean, sound was amazing.
Good music venue cozy and holds a lot of people but not overwhelmingly large and the bar is well separated with swinging doors from the stage area in the bathrooms are decent. Also in a great location so after the show or before the shows or you can go have for dinner or after show meals and various restaurants and bars. Very recommended.
Great musicDon’t miss ‘Bright Copper Company’
One of my favorite music venues in the city! The sound is always excellent.
Saw cuco here, so glad I bought tickets, it was an amazing show and performance!
Small and intimate experience. I liked that the bar was able to be closed off from the show room,in case you needed minute to get a drink. There are seats along the wall of the showroom. The bathrooms were pretty clean and the bartender (female) was really nice. All in all Id absolutely want to go to another show here.
Nice place to hangout to watch a live show. Drinks was good. I love that l they check for vaccine card at the door but there was not much social distance inside and no mask restrictions. I think people should should still wear mask even though they are vaccinated due to the fact that you can still catch the virus with the vaccine.
Great venue to listen to up and coming artist. Buy tickets online at the website. There’s a bar for beer & cocktails. Great sound system. We saw Sunday Gravy.
Had a great time. Staff and other patrons were friendly, had a chance to hang out with the artists for a bit after the show. Sound was good, drinks about average for the location and type of venue.Couldve used a coat check, but Im not going to knock points off for that.
Great intimate music venue right next to Katz Delicatessen and a gelato shop! Assembly of Dust rocked the house.
Nice and small lounge and the atmosphere is great. Went to see play Rose Betts and the show was great.
My sister performed here and it was a cool experience. Nice bar that you walk through that doesnt have terribly high drinks and nice venue for the band to perform. It was cool to learn the history of it as well. Also down below where the bands wait in the green room was pretty cool to see all of the graffiti of past bands.
Awesome place to see a show. The venue is small and intimate. The sound is great and you can see the entire band from anywhere in the audience. If you really enjoy a a small time band, this is a great place to see them. I will definitely go back.
Great drink selection. Dance venue was spacious and well ventilated. Seating available for breaks. Music on point. 10/10 would go again.
Fun LES bar where you can catch a good concert. One floor with a decent size stage can fit a good amount of people. Very unpretentious bar where you can enjoy yourself with friends or get into a mosh pit during the concerts if you are into that. However, note to all: avoid restrooms at all costs towards the end of the nigh or be sure to take a shot of liquid ignorance before you go there.
I had a warm bourbon for the first time.
Its actually not a bad music room and good sound system. The man running the sound, etc. Did a fine job. As far as the bar, overpriced substandard product. This is not a food venue. Front end staff didnt seem to care about anything. Not sure if I would give a second try. BTW the music act we went to see was excellent.
Awesome venue! I saw Octave Cat here recently. Sound quality was great, music was great, venue was clean and comfortable. Drink prices were actually very reasonable for a nyc venue, but I took off one star because the bartender was very unwilling to make any adjustments to the beer/shot specials, even though we were the only patrons when we asked. When it was clear I couldn’t mix the beer/shot, I decided to instead splurge on a top shelf drink. I used to bartend (and like to monitor my consumption) so I pay attention to how much is poured, and I got just over a single, for a $22 double :(. Here for the music, not for the drinks, so I’ll be back for sure.
We went to the Mercury Lounge to see Dylan Rockoff perform and had a great time. The drinks are a bit small and served in plastic cups but they dont kill you on the price so its a good trade off. The venue itself allows everyone on the floor to see and hear the performance well. We had a great time. As a bonus, you can grab food at Katz deli just a few buildings down.
My first Red Party! I had so much fun. This was a great venue for a decent sized gathering.
I went for my friend Andy Pops performance. He was awesome and commanded the stage and he was very interactive with the crowd. I would have to visit the bar on another occasion to get a real feel of the crowd but it felt very tight in the bar area. I think I only had 1 drink, it was strong and good.
I think its a great place to see music, but a difficult place to be in. The security at the front is completely unreasonable, acting as if they are running admission into Fort Knox; the bar area is generally overcrowded, and the venues are too. Great artists play here, and want to play here, which is the only thing the venue has going for it.
Excellent venue. Water cooler. Diverse lineup. Enjoy!
Great space to enjoy local bands with a cosy max. audience size of maybe 100 people. Good selection of beers at resonable prices. Sound engineer knew what he did and didnt blast the PA. Very limited amount of seats and tables.
Great size for a favorite band youre seeing. There are couches if u wanna sit, its a little small so you get to see the performers real close. Definitely one of my favorite venues
Freaking awesome!!!!! So cool I saw a great artist and met some celebrities
They get some big names in this little club! The staff is friendly and informative. You can buy tickets for other shows here too, so if youre nearby and dont want to go through ticketmaster you should drop in. The back room is the perfect size where even from the back you feel close to the band.
Great gig venue, poor front of house. Gig was great, intimate, decent beer. Front of house staff (both security and ticket checking) were incredibly rude to a friend who didn’t have the right ID. Very unhelpful and unresponsive to questions. Went home to get different ID but staff continued to be unpleasant and aggressive which was an unfortunate start to a great gig.
The entertainment was extraordinary. If you havent seen Tony and the Kiki, youre missing out. The only downside, Im just too injured to stand for hours. Theres no seating. However, its definitely a great night out.
This place is in a really great location. There are plenty of things to do and eat in the area. The venue itself reminds me of VFW hall shows I went to as a kid, Small space, but intimate with good sound. Its another great spot to catch a band in the LES.
Mercury Lounge is a great venue to catch an up-and-coming (or established) band. The space is intimate, but not cramped, the stage is at the perfect level, and the sound is good. Whether youre right up front or taking it easy on one of the seats on the side, you can enjoy yourself. The bartenders in the front are quick and friendly, and drinks arent horridly expensive.
Classic NYC bar to see bands. Maybe legendary... Decent space, good sound and lighting. While they do have an $11 beer and shot special, $9 drafts does seem high. They dont sell food here and unlike other venues that dont, they dont allow outside food??? Cool space and location but docked a star for the too-cool-for-school staff (guys youre not, youre a late night bouncer or Monday night bartender). Manager should explain that it doesnt cost extra to be nice and btw theyre in a service business - oh, and it could help tips...
A great little music venue. Very small and intimate, its a fun place to see some lesser-known bands they come through town. Bar staff are pretty friendly. No great drink specials.
The best surf rock I ever had the pleasure of listening to. Bravo!
Saw Corinne Bailey Rae perform here. Its a beautiful and intimate space for performances.
Another one of my fav live music venues. It small enough where you can be up close and personal with an artist you enjoy but not too small where you feel cramped. Mixed crowd. Good cheap drinks. Fab sound system. Cheap tickets.
I watched my favorite Norwegian singer, Dagny, in this venue mid-2017. Very cozy inside. A small gathering area with a small stage where you are armsreach away from your idol. In fact, I would definitely come back here some time just to discover other new promising artists. They didnt have the beer that my boyfriend wanted but they offered something of the same kind and so much better. I wish I had a chance to ask for the beer name.
Great inexpensive venue for smaller artists.Sound quality of the show I saw was mixed. Some artists had very clear and well mixed sound whereas others had a mix I didnt like.
A small bar from the outside, with a large backroom great for seeing concerts at. I only find myself going here when there is a show going on, but then again, who wants to go into a bar with a gigantic room for a show just to sit around and stare blankly at one another when there is nothing going on but alcoholism? Bartenders are attentive and have not seen them get snarky with anyone (except for one guy who made some dumb comment to one of the female bartenders and she was having none of it). So yea, check out their website and catch a show and have some drinks while youre at the bar waitiing. You cant regret it.
Really fun venue! Bring back The Aberdeen!
One of the classic, great, local music venues. Love this place.
Went to go see new Indie band K.O.I. they helped book an amazing headliner last night from New Jersey. All the bands last night were totally amazing worth coming out and breaking daily cycle with coming out to this venue. Sound guy is amazing and security is great. Had an amazing time . Thanks K.O.I. for bringing in the fresh new year with the entertainment to expect into the new year. Cant wait for you next show at Mercury Lounge.
If you enjoy a cozy atmosphere, this place is perfect for you. The beverages were affordable and came in a great variety. A major perk is the coat check service, which is uncommon in modern nightlife. I would definitely return to this venue—it was an absolute pleasure!
Cool Spot❗️😎
Great venue. Only thing, double check show time. When they say 8, it seems they mean 8 sharp, not 830/9 like almost everywhere else. Not a problem of course, just so long as you know
Saw Dawn Richards here and the venue was packed to the brim. Very New York venue, dirty and small...and it was beautiful. It’s not a venue you want to have to go to the bathroom in but it’s great if you want to be close to the act you’re there to see.
Cool space but definitely need to be better about the no smoking policy. There are signs but no one says anything. Prefer not to breathe in someone elses smoke, especially during COVID season. They do require vaccines to enter though, which is great. The sound is nice.
The Mercury Lounge is a long walk from the train, but this is still one of the best intimate rooms to catch an up-and-coming act before they hit the big time. The sound of the room is fairly good with decent sight lines and a small number of seats on the sides. The bar is seperated from the performance space to cut down on the noise.
Great venue. Feels like the Strokes might show up uninvited. Check who is playing before just showing up. I once showed up and paid covers to what turned out to be a seriously dreadful emo party and Im trying not to repeat that night.
The atmosphere is good, really old-school. When I went their COVID controls were really good (doorman was actually looking at ID and vaccine confirm and comparing names). The drinks are cheap for manhattan, and the music was great.
Nice little gem to hear some truly up and coming talented musicians explore their musical talents. Nice dance floor and tasty drinks, friendly staff in the heart of the NYC Village.
The show itself (Cal Scruby) was 5 stars but this review is for the venue that lets unvaccinated people attend. They just give them a mask until the people walk through the door and then they take it off. They just dont seem to care about the health and safety of their guests.
Came here for a concert. Space was nice and intimate, acoustics and sound was exceptional, really felt like we were with the band. But quite possibly the worst lighting i have seen in a venue. Bright studio lights shine directly into your retinas. I don’t think i saw the band even once. I don’t think i could.Carry sunglasses, or avoid if sensitive to light.
Cool venue to see smaller bands. Drinks are overpriced in my opinion. $6 for a Bud Light, really? Great service and space though!
Intimate venue for intimate performances. A great place for anything from jazz, to hard rock, anytime theres a show, expect to have a great time. Will never forget my visit.
The Mercury Lounge is an amazing venue that showcases a wide variety of musical talent. The staff is always attentive and fun.
Saw alexa valentino here. clean and comfy! bathrooms are surprisingly well taken care of.
Has been around in this area for as long as I can remember. It offers the locals a great place to hang out on a Friday night and just kick back with friends. Its nice, its a great place to get together. The staff is friendly and always willing to converse with the customers. Place is not too expensive depending on time.
We went for a concert here and the venue is nice!
Very nice looking venue. They let ppl in very quickly and everything is well organized.
It’s a great location, good atmosphere, and reasonably priced for drinks.
Such a cozy, intimate atmosphere! the vibes were great, especially for a concert. went to see grentperez!
I was commuting to this place directly from my work and had my electric skateboard with me. The lady told me I couldnt bring it in. I had no idea what to do. After a few minutes the lady asked me if that thing is electric. I said yes. She took my skateboard and kept it somewhere and said that thing is so cool but dont bring it in next time. 5 stars..
Mercury Lounge is a great place to catch a show in New York! I have seen a wide range of acts here and each time was really enjoyable. There isnt a bad vantage point in the whole house.
Such a cool place to see a show. Perfect size to really take it in a feel a connection with the performance. Great acts too I saw Arden Jones there
An amazing bar and venue. The back stage area seems to grow even bigger with the amount of people filling it to see a band.I came to see The Lastlings on the first leg of their international tour. It was an amazing gig at a great venue. It feels great to start seeing events and life starting back up again!
The place is ok,just need cleaning between shows and a better customer service. That singer Paul Beaubrun was on fire .Make your forget about everything .His music is life .I had a wonderful night .Thanks to him.Just forget about the place go for the artists and have fun
Its a typical Fun NYC music/lounge/dive bar. All band I saw here were on top of their game. I highly recommend it to who wants a relax played back night out in the town.
We had a blast. Great place to have drinks & listen to some good live music.
Been here a bunch of times over the last 8 years. one thing about it is you know what to expect. this place hasnt changed much in the last few years and Im very okay with that. very DIY, very bare bones. if youve been to knitting factory (r.i.p) you know what i am talking about.
Best live venue!
Always 5 stars, my favorite venue in NYC. Saw Wunderhorse who were amazing, they will be huge
It is fun, divey. Went for a show. I like how close you are to the stage, but the acoustics are a little rough. The beer is good too.
Hands-down one of my favorite venues in NYC. Ive been here so many times over the years I couldnt count. If a band you like is playing here, dont miss it.
Middle of the week and am standing in the backroom of Mercury lounge having an awesome time. Keep up the good job and promoting the local bands with so much talent. Drinks were great and affordable.
A very kick-back type of vibe here. Went for a house music event, Im pleased to say it was super laid back and welcoming.
Went to the Spring Fling 98 and it was AMAZING. I just felt bad that that bartender was all by herself dealing with all of us. I hope she gets a huge bonus and/or raise because she was fantastic.
Great venue, reasonably priced drinks, friendly staff
Music by In Theory was lit. Beer was tasty. Nice crowd
Great place for live music
I saw Ama Lou, Nov. 5 with guest Marco McKinnis. They were both AMAZING. The venue was pretty small but there was no problem getting in and out
Fantastic music venue acoustics are great
I was holding my friends drink as he was busy with something else. I didnt have a bracelet so this guy working there basically kicked us out. I had a ticket for the Joan show and we didnt even get the chance to see them perform.
Small music venue, AV is average. Beer is about $10
Small front area and a nice space in the back for small gigs. Id go to another show if I knew about one there, but I probably wouldnt stop in otherwise
Catch your favorite band at another music venue. Last night I went to see a friends band perform at mercury lounge but the doorman/bouncer ruined that. He had a horrible attitude with everyone and it was only 9pm. His attitude was so bad that the person with the list at the door told him to relax with his attitude. Going to catch my friends band at another place since this is not the only music venue in NYC. Word of Advice to the owners of Mercury Lounge - The Doorman/Bouncer is the first person that introduces your business to customers and if you hire unexperienced ghetto service expect to lose business
At the Mercury lounge. 24-7 Spyz and Funkface.. Awesome bands. The black rock coalition.
Cool room. Good sound. The bar area can get a bit crowded. The guy checking IDs was pretty rude, but other than that it was a good time.
Awesome time here. Give it a go once you find a show that catches your interest
Very cool place to go to to see bands of all genre from heavy metal to rap/hip hop, etc. And to have some drinks and hangout for a little bit.
Great sound (on stage and out front). Not enough seating.
Great small space for intimate shows. Pro tip: skip the online tickets and head to the box office instead to avoid booking fees.
Needs stronger pours on the liquor but the room and audio is great.
Great spot to see up and coming artists in a small well run venue with great sound and lighting. A separate room in front with a bar for talking and the venue holds less than 200 peeps.
Cozy little bar lounge
Super great small venue! 👏 I really loved how you feel more connected with the artists on stage here
Not enough of these kind of places. The once New York City music scene has been almost destroyed by losing Roseland & CBGBS. Too many to list. We must hold on to places like this if we even have a chance of bringing music to the City....
Classic venue to see great music!
Great venue for up and coming acts. Its a small place so it keeps that small show feel but with a heavy sound. Youre close to the stage and some acts will crank it, so dont forget some dampening ear plugs. That way you can keep that high frequency hearing range so you can hear all the dog whistles or something I dont know.
Great little venue with good sound.
Been to a few shows here and have always had a great experience.
Acoustics are horrible. The only good spot in the all place is at the bar. Drinks are very adorable.
Loved the dance area, it does get pretty packed though. Bartenders were friendly and service was good.
Took a while to get a drink but loved the atmoshpere. A lot of big names at the club so it made for a great 1st NYC club experience.
Kayotic1 just did a show here. Youre the stage up!
The Mercury Lounge is a Lower East Side legend. So many great bands have played here and the sound is great. The bar area can get a little crowded between bands but as you go into the main venue there’s a little bar just to your left, it can be a quick alternative on a packed night.
Small, intimate music venue with a nice little bar. It can get a bit crowded, but is always a good place to be.
Small and intimate venue for live music! Love the atmosphere in here.
I was really hoping that their drinks would contain more lethal amounts of mercury but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that none of their cocktails contain any mercury in the slightest.
I’m reviewing this from the aspect of a performer:We loved being at the Mercury Lounge! The staff were friendly and super helpful, allowing us to get in a bit early to set up. The biggest shout out I have is for the sound guy with the venue. He was a mega champ with knowing about the space, helping with the change over between bands, and getting things rolling fast on the console. Due to that, I definitely would love to come here again.
The house party they play house music on Saturdays and they also do concerts and make relounge and different events its in the Lower East Side not so far from where I live so I can walk to it had a great time its a new party name of the party is called my house
Fun venue if the right band is playing, but tight, small, so get there early
Decent sized venue, a little tight. I attended the Rico Nasty show here, good sound.
Startles the line between music venue and bar the good thing bar is front of house with dedicated performance space in the rear. Sound was good, typical NYC a few couches along the side walls but for all intents and purposes a standing room.Photos: The End of America by Perry Stein
A classic venue. Bands sound great here. Just right in terms of size.
A fun place with a chill vibe when there isnt a show the music is very diverse
Great venue. Super I intimate
Decent stage and sound and light systems. Crowded standing mainly but tickets were very reasonable.
My boy that I train in the gym is the dj, chill atmosphere, nice to come and get loose!
Very charming and great atmosphere
Great venue and nice vibe. I saw outasight there.
Its a nice location, they have a mix of drinks and musical event which take place in there back room area which is pretty big. I went for a dance party which was Paramore vs Fall Out Boys. At this time they are asking everyone to have there vaccine info to get (just a heads up on that)
Cool vibe, great bartender, unbelievable music. Will definitely return to this venue.
Went to see music preformed
Up close & personal experience with the musician, small venue but intimate atmosphere. Loved the concert!
Had the best time seeing RIVVRS!!!! Intimate venue with good beer and great vibes.
Been here two times...The bar is cool and its nice experiencing quality Live music.
This is a great little venue cant wait to come back to see another show.
Great little center for live music. The green room is super grunge but awesome.
Great place to see upcoming bands. Drink elsewhere before the show though.
Wow, Never listen to the Complaints.... Yes its small, yes its old, yes its crowded... But for the price and the experience to be almost able to touch the artist performing...... Ive never Enjoyed an intimate evening with a musician like that before...Freya Ridings couldnt have been a better experience....I will be back Mercury Lounge.....😎😎🙏🙏
It’s a cute charming small venue, was here to see Estiva this past Friday. Security was breezy and the vibe was chill with friendly people. Definitely coming back for more shows.
Great venue and staff.
Very cool spot!
Great venue super intimate & definitely reasonably $...enjoy!
Good intimate venue with reasonable prices for NYC.
Little small. Sound is good. Bathrooms are clean. Parking garage bejind was nicebut expense
Cool small venue. Great spot to find up and coming bands
Great artists and good sound in a classic, small, grungy performance space. I dont know how the bar service is.
Great venue and quality service. We enjoyed the night and would definitely return. Also, The Clarks put on an amazing performance.
What an amazing night! Bartenders and atmosphere was great and the BANDS!! Hailes was EVERYTHING!!
One star because of those two guys who think they’re tough that work “security”. This place is horrible
Went to nye pary here. Was so fun! There are so many weird characters here and its fun to go even if you dont drink. You can spend the whole night people watching. Drinks reasonably priced and the bartender was very friendly. I was NOT sober and kind of acted dumb but she dealt with it with complete class and understanding. I guess they get a lot of that there so shes used to it, but still pretty cool.of her. Overall just such a unique atmosphere and should be experienced by everyone at least once!
One of the best venues Ive been to. Intimate and well ran.
Truly awesome place to interact with new people and artist.
Went Here for dinner at 6pm, we had 30 minutes and the place was packed. I asked the guy when I went in if wed have enough time. He Said of course. Immediately took our order, was done in 20 minutes, we ate in 10 to catch our bus just in time! Food was great! 10/10 would come here again.
Great live music venue. Shows always start way later than listed.
One of New Yorks classic venues. Sound is excellent, and it has a lot of ambiance.
Great, small venue for intimate concerts
