Went here late at night when most places were closing soon and not seating new customers. Love this restaurant, from service, to food, to drinks to ambiance. We sat at the bar and Winnie was our server. Very friendly and professional. We were welcomed in with a smile and felt comfortable right away Oyster variety was great. We tried Blackberry Oysters and Kumamoto Oysters. Very fresh! The Gyu Don is highly highly recommended. Drinks were just right. Great Sake selection. Winnie warned me about the beer on the rock and I underestimated what I was signing up for. That was the only thing I was not able to finish. Its not for everyone. Highly recommend! Will visit again when in the area.
I love visiting the Dark Bullet. The food is always great and the customer service from both the Bartender and Waiter are always amazing! Its not even a 4 star restaurant but youre treated like VIP. It has become one of our favorite places to get drinks and eats. If youre visiting New York City or if you already live in the area and want a great place to get drinks and good Asian Cuisine, stop by The Dark Bullet. Youll be so glad you did. Also the tables were set up with a lot of space between them. They follow the social distancing guidelines set by the CDC. Giving everyone 6 feet of space to enjoy themselves.
This place is like a best kept secret. I went because I wanted oysters one day and ended up there for hours. They have amazing Japanese-style sauces to accompany the oysters and none of their other small tapas-style seafood dishes disappointed. Great sake and friendly service as well.
We had the east coast and west coast raw oysters and the baked oysters. The baked oysters werent as good as the reviews claimed. All I could taste was the Chipotle mayo that is served on top (the orange stuff in the photo). The veggie fried rice was TRASH, which is why you didnt see it in my photos. It tasted like steamed rice but with veggies. The spicy shrimp was pretty good, if you like garlic and the flavor of sesame oil. FYI they arent really spicy. The highlight wS indeed the East Coast and West Coast raw oysters. The East Coast oysters were smaller in size and had a twang, which I loved. The West Coast oysters were huge in comparison to the East Coast, but also had a clean and fresh taste. I liked them very much. The EC oysters were my absolute favorite. The drinks are served strong, and the billard table costs nothing to play. Just put your name on the list. I had a great time, will go back. However only for the raw oysters, drinks and free pool.
Its 4:06 the atmosphere is good the bar tender is really friendly and helpful the pool table is fun nice people. So now for my favorite part the oysters are great and fresh hits the spot. P.S as you can see I started eating them before I took the picture lol
Delicious food as well as drinks! The beer with yuzu is fantastically refreshing. The staff is awesome. And theres a pool table in the back!
Totally recommended. It was delicious! I’d definitely visit this place again
All around great experience. Was there for the happy hour, and Zaw was a very kind host pointing me in the right direction for all the selections. Definitely going back!
Omg everything was so so delicious 🤤 I had the pork belly teriyaki and I also had hot and spicy soup and garlic shrimp ..the plum wine as well as beer 🍺 ! Will be back very soon ! Hey Marco 👋
Always a great spot to stop and whether it is just for happy hour with a come get a great oyster shooter and some wings! They always have some sports on one it’s showing and a nice pool table in the back if you’re looking for something to do.
Enjoyed a delightful salmon donburi and some delectable sake from a well curated list. The atmosphere was energetic and the service was efficient and friendly.
Hot Pot is delicious and very good for you in chilly weather. VERY peaceful environment and a secret menu from a sister restaurant nearby if youre seriously hungry.Insane Asian Whiskey and Sake selections as well!
Love this place its my go-to bar even have a free pool table almost forgot the Frozen mugs that beers are served in
Loved the food! I don’t drink, but the bar tenders were making the drinks with 100% dedication. Best part this place is open till late night. I had the shrimp and vegetable Hibachi and it was really good!
Had a very strange time there with my friends. Place wasn’t super busy. My friends grabbed a four top got two drinks each and some food and the entire staff was pretty dismissive and forgetful. Literally rude when we ordered, forgot two drinks, blew me off when I tried to remind the guy, then barely apologized the second time we had to remind him for the drink. I typically don’t like frequenting establishments that treat me like they’re doing me a favor by allowing me to give them money. I won’t be back.
I’ve visited a few times after work and I’ve gotta say it’s an extremely underrated restaurant. Amazing happy hour, good food, and great atmosphere. A must pick if you’re looking for a nice Friday (or any day) vibe. 11/10
Excellent whiskey selection, great staff, even spoke to owner who was super cool. Good food, AND free pool table!!
This place really surprised me with the quality and low price for their oysters on the half shell. They are royal miyagis from the west coast and one of my favorites. At other places that profess to be seafood restaurants you often find small funky expensive oyster that arent well shucked. These were quite good and clean and under 3 dollars instead of the usual 4 dollars. Trust me Im an oyster fanatic. Drinks were solid and the bartenders very friendly.
For a place with a great whiskey menu, wine is meh and environment is more dive bar. Been twice and thought its fine but not somewhere Id prioritize. However, servers are really nice and theres a pool table!
We have been to the Dark Bullet a handful of times over the last couple of years and have always loved the experience. If you like good food, billiards, Japanese whiskey, and live on the Upper West Side then this place is for you! I couldnt recommend the Dark Bullet highly enough.
Don’t even know where to begin with how much I recommend going to Dark Bullet. Winnie, chasper, Anthony, Robbie, and Indra top the list of best bartenders on the Upper West Side. From the moment you walk in they will welcome you and get you a drink as soon as you want it. Food is great and the bartenders make even better drinks. Love this place.
Ive never had the food here, but when Im there my friends say its very good. What I have had here was there ice cold beer. So cold there is actually ice in it. So Id like to be able to recommend more here, but all I know is their beer. And its top notch
A wonderful secret gem for fantastic Japanese food. Perfect place for a date night or friends group hangout. The drink menu (various sakes and beers and a decent selection of cocktails) was well priced. The ambiance is like a dive bar but don’t let that fool you! The Japanese food served is some of the best in Manhattan. The gyu donburi (angus beef rice bowl) was honestly incredible. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The garlic rock shrimp was also very delicious.
I would recommend the spicy garlic edamame! The sashimi (shown in the photo) is too expensive for what it is
This is a nice bar.The vibe here feels like theyre trying to seem slightly upscale mixed with local, dive-y watering hole. The food is so-so. Pricing is whats expected for the area -- a couple of apps and drinks and you might hit the $40 to$60+ mark already.I enjoy the pool table in the back. Some of the locals here are eccentric, but entertaining to observe.
A hidden gem! Came here randomly to get drinks/oysters aftie dinner and was pleasantly surprised! The vibes were great - small restaurant with a pool table in the back. The staff were very nice and the food/drinks were great. Would definitely recommend!
Ive been wanting to try this place and had an opportunity to visit. I was greeted and seated immediately.I had a lychee martini and oysters. The oysters were super fresh and my martini was absolutely perfect.I didnt catch the name of my servers but they were super cool and friendly. I felt like a regular and that is very special. The bar has a pretty nice menu and a pool table!!!!
This is such a unique place. A sort of dive bar with an excellent menu of interesting and delicious Japanese dishes. Its not a sushi place though theres a great raw salmon dish. Oysters are excellent. Try the oyster pancakes. And a delicious burger.
They have the coldest Japanese beer (Sapporo maybe) on tap served in a very frosty mug. Good bar selection. Free pool table for customers. The scene at the pool table was really nice, with short wait times, skilled players who were pleasant and mature, and good available cues. This place is a lovely oasis of calm in a crowded city.
Stopped in for a drink and lunch with some friends. Great atmosphere and service. Food was fantastic and beyond expectations. Sapporo was serviced in a frosted mug which kept the beer cold the whole time. Definitely a nice little surprise. Next time Ill have to sample the sake and oysters.
Many choices of Japanese drink to choose. I also like their food.
A friendly , lively bar, with great sake offerings, a full bar, happy hours in the evening, and great Japanese food. Very popular with the locals (always a good sign). They have a pool table, for your entertainment.
Decent food, good beer, and chill vibe (at least for lunch). It was almost completely empty when we went for lunch, which is just the way we like it at a good place. It also meant we had the free pool table in the back. The oysters were fine, however, their signature sauces were notably delicious and made the oystwrs worth it.The Special Oyster Pan-Cake was average, but I probably wouldnt get it again. The Karaage Dons chicken was good enough for the rice bowl, and ideal for a casual lunch. For drinks, we had the Beer On Rock, which was actually fantastic--a Japanese light beer with salt and yuzu sauce in a chilled glass. It reminded of the way we drink Corona with lime, except Japanese style. The sake selection on the menu was surprisingly disappointing given the name, so we didnt order any.
By boyfriend and I just happened to walk past and we were checking it out when the bartender came out to ask if we wanted to look at a menu. He was so nice that we decided to stay and eat a bite and have Saki with our meal. We enjoyed our experience!
One of the best bars on the UWS! Great food, drinks and awesome bartenders! Highly recommend
They don’t like people who aren’t regulars and they don’t like it if you order their happy hour drinks. The staff was dismissive and acted as if we had offended them by just being there.
Went on a Tuesday night, fantastic atmosphere. Busy, but still had a place to sit and received quick service. Everyone behind the bar was great, the pool tournament was a good laugh to watch, the food was unbelievably good easily one of the best Karaage Don dishes Ive had. Will be back here when Im back in town!
Amazing establishment! Freshest oysters from all over the world (and Ive eaten oysters from Brettany, Normandy, West Coast and Scotland), fresh draft beer served in frozen mugs, huge selection of premium sake. Next time Im in NYC - Dark Bullet is going to be my first visit.
We found this place by taking a wrong turn and it was a fantastic find. Cool ambience in a warm environment. Nice simple menu and the service was great. If you want somewhere to go for a few drinks and some nice small meals, I would highly recommend this little gem.
The manager, Leo, is awesome! I was the only one there during happy hour and he showed me around the sakes available and went over the oyster selection and why certain ones were there and not there. Additionally they had star wars playing on the TVs. Fantastic place to escape the hot weather outside, thank you Leo!
It’s a bar, oyster bar and japanese restaurant hybrid. Really cool! With the current outdoor dining structure, its unrecognizable lol! But the crowd will definitely catch your attention. I went at an odd 4.30pm and it was BUSY!Food 5/5Surprisingly good. Only tried the hot soup and the fried chicken as it was just a snack for me before dinner. Both dishes were on point! The hot soup is very flavorful and comforting. The fried chicken was crunch and very well presented.Service 5/5Great service, very friendly and helpful. I waited for a long while for food as it was packed busy but the waiter was so friendly and kept checking in and reassuring they have not forgotten about my order. And I was just chilling out and I didnt even once ask! Everyone was wearing a maskAmbianceGreat outdoor sitting structure. Sat outside given the pandemic
Amazing space tons of room for UWS. Food was amazing, and the staff is really wonderful I will definitely be back and I would definitely recommend
The food was delicious and the staff was very nice and helpful.Would definitely go again.
This place is only $ hungry they have no Customer service skills. They tried to fores me to buy something in less then 5 minutes of being there. Theres a reason why the name starts with Dark because thats exactly what it is.. Very nasty Manger I definitely would say dont waste your time to go...
They have regular people who plays pool and won’t give any chance to other people in the bar. They have a group and they just play with one another. Cozy place to have a drink or 2.
Not sure if it was the oysters or just the sauce choice combo but definitely the best oysters I’ve ever had in my life. Great drinks. And I’ve even circled which ones I ordered and the blue is which sauces to mix together. I don’t even like sauces honestly but this was amazing and I’m in love. Bonus Points if you ask for Marco. (POLO)
Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly, great selection of Japanese whiskies, Tequila, Mezcal and spirits in general.
The shrimp tempura (which also contained vegetable tempura) was bad. It wasnt crunchy like good tempura, and it just didnt taste as good. At the end of the day, its tempura, and they put sauce on it (?), so if youre drunk youre not going to notice a big difference. But if youre sober and want to eat good tempura then look elsewhere. We had the oysters, too, and my date who eats a lot of oysters said they didnt taste good quality either.
Dont be fooled by the appearance on the outside. Awesome bar with shockingly good food and a great vibe. The oysters were fresh and the fried chicken was tasty. Ice cold beer on tap, what more could you want?
Nice chill bar, older crowd. Cheap $5 hh beer, but the oysters were regular price and not so good. They were meaty, but not very clean (lots of pieces in it). Also, the oyster sauces were terrible.
Great service and amazing food. Free pool with a nice table and cues - it never gets too busy even on weekends and everyone that plays is super nice.
Nice place for happy hour uptown , the truffle salt fries are dope . Never find places that have purple fries that are battered. Super good.
This place sells FAKE japanese whiskey. They will advertise Hibiki 17 and sell you some knock-off in an old Hibiki 17 bottle. Its 100% fake and they still charge you $90 for 1 shot.DONT GO HERE. WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE THEY LIE ABOUT.
Great hidden place, good vibes and well made drinks. Staff is welcoming and friendly, food is good, oysters fresh.
Great service and atmosphere. Delicious food. The fried rice with shrimp was out of this world and the ice cold Asahi was so good!
Great food and reasonable prices. Maybe they could get some nicer tables for people who would like to have a meal but I guess they function more as a bar than a restaurant.
I love this place!Great spot for hanging out with friends, family!Lots of Japanese sake and whiskey collections are amazing! Watching sumos is fun too :)
Great happy hour! If youre in the neighborhood, you cant go wrong with $5 draft beer that they serve in a frosty mug! Also the cold sake is great for the hot weather. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Their oysters are good and you should definitely try the mixed potato fries.
Great oysters, sake etc. Friendly staff. Great service. Very clean bathroom!
Went here for the first time last night during Happy Hour. Their sangria was SO yummy and only $6 until 7pm on weekdays. I think the other deals included $5 for beer and $7 for house sake, which is a great deal, but for how much the other reviews were raving about the Happy Hour, I expected more options. However, as other reviews have mentioned, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food options had better variety than you’d find in a typical Asian fusion place, lots of appetizers and Japanese comfort food options. We ordered the baked oysters, rock shrimp, and gyudon. Baked oysters were phenomenal and well-priced, gyudon was decent but a bit salty, and the “rock shrimp” were just awful. They were absolutely NOT rock shrimp lol. The dish had maybe 10 small boiled cocktail shrimp floating in a puddle of garlic oil, served with saltines on the side. That was the only big negative of our meal, but it was a total waste of $14.In any case, I had a good dinner overall and would go back, but maybe just for sangria and oysters rather than a full meal.
Dark Bullet Sake & Oyster Bar is a very unique place for those with varied tastes. Its a bar, and they have a pool table in the back, and sports on TVs. It was a bit odd being able to watch tennis at 10pm on a Saturday night, but I appreciated it. The atmosphere is a bit off to me - it feels like everything is overly sanitized (might just be the harsh white lighting in some areas). But overall it was a decent place for a drink and chatting with friends.
Favorite day drinking spot we found while visiting! (You must like sake, Sapporo & pool!)
The oysters were okay. not good enough for me to order more. i got the lychee martini and it was made well. strong and sweet. the service here is not good. i sat at the bar and i ordered an appetizer. he forgot to put it in and i was waiting for like 30 min before he realized. and the appetizer was not good. it was called healthy choice or something and it had way too much sesame sauce to be enjoyable. the worst thing is there was a drunk guy sitting not too far from me and the workers did nothing to try to make me feel more comfortable as he was talking very loud and obnoxious towards me. this is why i was annoyed that the bartender took so long with my food bc he already saw this dude was annoying me too but didn’t do much to try to see if he could do anything. as a bartender myself if i see a guest being rowdy i will let them know to tone it down or they will be asked to leave. im not sure if i would come back, there was no dish that wowed me enough to do so
Didnt eat just had drinks; nice bar with lively clientele, relaxed atmosphere no riff-raff or tourists. Had an amazing chocolate cocktail. Nice minimalist decor.
OMG amazing west coat and Japanese oysters! Quite and cute place with very welcoming stuff.
For a great experience in food and drink this is the place to go . Perfect Martinis all the time! Staff is very attentive and full of good energy
It doesnt look like much from the outside but appearances can be deceiving. Everything was perfect. 10/10.
Great place to relax and get some sake and oysters. They have a pool table too! Nice music, big TVS and great staff. They will help you with the sake menu if you need a quick lesson. The west coast oysters are a must. The yuzu sauce is a must on the oysters!Great find in the city. I would definitely recommend this place.
I met up with a few friends here for happy hour, which offers specials on beer, sangria and their house sake. I got the house sake, which was good. Then we got the healthy roll, edamame and oysters. I was surprised by how much I liked the healthy roll, which had avocado, crab, rice, and roe wrapped in cucumber with a citrus sauce. I am already planning to go back to get that roll again. Anyways, its laid back inside, and the servers are very friendly. They even have a pool table.
Food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Spicy Mixed Shrimp Octopus, Kani, Cucumber mixed with homemade spices sauce. I absolutely loved it! Another suggestion? Try the Spicy Mixed Chicken with Japanese Red Chilli Pepper!
Nicely laid out place with an expansive whiskey list, creative cocktails, and a pool table. Didnt try the food, though.
Fabulous and delicious food. The Oysters are to die for. Intimate restaurant with a really great options the menu.
#1 dont believe me but dont drop it until you try it. Think about this place at least once a month and I will probably continue till Im dead. While youre still alive look for a little bit and check out this place you wont regret it
Hole in the wall amazing Japanese bar with a pool table in the back. Get the oysters and chicken.
I was waiting for oysters 30 minutes, never come back this place again!
Awesome hangout place good beers the bartenders are always nice. The pool table is the best.
Best damn whiskey Ive ever had... Yamazaki 12. Good food and service also.
Great atmosphere. Excellent food. Staff is amazing.
Flavorful Japanese food that is not greasyGreat to pair with a cup a drink
Fantastic Happy Hour spot, After work Spot, all round Spot. You can even enjoy March madness and Other sports games there on there screens. Staff is on point. Thank you Casper.
Very interesting Japanese × modern bar mix. I loved all the items I ordered!
Great bar, house sake is pretty cheap and good. Especially the happy hour
Service it’s soo bad ! Nobody come to the table asking nothing and the charges 20% for tips and you don’t have option for choose the tips ! I never come back to this place ! I ask the girl at the bar and she told me we can’t choose how much we can give the tips , that’s ridiculous
The wings🔥🔥🔥 and the spicy seafood dish is amazing. Great service and atmosphere!
Always Great food- Friendly staff and atmosphere!
Solid Japanese bar fare and they have a pool table. Could do without the rather loud and annoying Corporate Rock soundtrack though.
This quiet restaurant with a pool table in the back has a few seats at the bar. I sat down and ordered their hamburger with a side of edamame. The burger was had a good spicy sauce that masked the otherwise mild taste of the beef. The edamame was seasoned with a good amount of salt. Its not the best dinner Ive eaten, but it has a cool atmosphere.
This place is highly confused as to what it wants to be, who it wants to cater to, and how it will present itself. While there is a free pool table, it is controlled like the mob. You will not be allowed to play unless you play in their rounds.Honestly, there’s so many other bars around here, choose elsewhere.
Amazing service, dont forget to eat the double shot oysters, incredible flavor!
The oysters were damn small, very expensive, and had no flavour. Only their sauce had something going.
Good service , good atmosphere.. and drinks are gread.. but the service are 10000 great..
Food was amazing. Ordered the sashimi, oysters, and oyster shooters. Drinks were nice and strong. Music choice was a 8/10.
Lovely people great environment food is perfect. Totally recommended.
Totally fine! All around, average. Oysters are something to be picky about in general and two of them made me think “gross” which is enough to render the whole dish as unremarkable. Drinks are k. Skip.
Fried oysters were delicious, as were the cocktails
Great bar but just so loud! You cant even have a conversation with your friends beside you. If theyd turn the music volume down this would be 5 stars for sure.
Happy hour 1-7Excellent bar selection. Tapas with a Japanese flair are delicious. Fresh oysters; Royal Miyagi 1/2 dozen for $22.
Will turn you into Sake aficionado!!!
Very cool decor and drink selection. Definitely coming back.
All my friends enjoy the great hospitality and the pool table and the food as well
Love this place! They make the drinks extra strong, and Winnie is the best! She will remember you after a few times, and is always sweet and generous! The pool table in the back is always surrounded with calm adults that are willing to let you play/learn, and arent aggressive or competitive like other bar pool tables Ive experienced. The food is also super good here, I definitely recommend the hot wings. If youre nearby, or are looking for a new spot to hang, this place is for sure worth the visit, youll be hooked!
My favorite place around that’s really good place
Confusing . Seems to be a former Asian restaurant changing over to oyster and wine bar . Shabby menus with items crossed out and new items written in .. sitting in the sidewalk area is very nice if lucky enough to get a table . Inside very dark and very loud . Music blasting way too loud . The kind of music usually found in a sports bar .. I had the oyster happy hour .. very good price and delicious …. I would go back but only if I could get an outdoor seat and I would only have the oysters
Decent happy hour nice to sit outside
Sports bar that serves sake and only Japanese food. I love it!
Highly recommend. Very friendly staff, high quality food and fast service. Had a fun evening meeting a friend after a long time.
Good food but horrible late night service on busy nights.
Good place to hangout and drinking !!and the only place where i can play pool in the west side!!
Use to love this spot, hasn’t faired well.
Pretty good happy hour option
Wonderful places with great variety of oysters and sake!
Havent eaten here yet but i cant wait to do so. the vibe at night was pretty chill considering there was tvs playing sports but it doesnt feel like a sports bar at all. its very chic inside and was chill enough i think to have a nice date night. whiskey selection is really bomb and the staff are all really nice. love that the pool table is free and its not filled with drunk pool junkies. cant wait to come back
Amazing sake and kumamoto...what else is there to say!
Tasty beer, whiskey, and oysters! Highly recommended.
My party of 12 (with reservation) was given 6 seats, others had to STAND. Several dishes did not come out accurate vs what was on the menu. Most people did not enjoy their food. One person’s food came out almost an hour after everyone else’s. Some people didn’t get drinks because they ran out of glasses. Absolutely ludicrous, would not consider ever going here again.
Still good but service not so much.
If i could, I would make this my go-to bar. Drinks are awesome and the oysters too. Free pool is also a plus!
Employees showed great support and service during our private event
Easy 5 stars
Not very good service. Sort of disappointing food. Wont go back.
Nice dive bar with good oysters. Only reason they get 3 stars is because Myself and guest were carded and asked for proof of vaccine which was fine but then regulars came in and they were not carded or asked for vaccine proof. Ill come back when and if this pandemic is over. Till then be wary that they dont check everyone.
FREESH
The drinks and the food are tasty and fine. However, the service is amazing and outstanding. The staff is committed and dedicated to provide the best experience for us, the patrons.
One of the widest selections of sake in the city, plus a strong lineup of Japanese beers and whiskey. The food is also amazing... The hibachi rice and steak are exceptional, and there are plenty of oysters, too. In addition, there are two pool tables, darts, and foosball for any groups. The staff are also amazing. They treat you great, and offer their knowledge for any sake questions you might have.
This might be my new main hang out🔥
Ordered 6 Peaces of Oyster and beef donburi around 2:30pm.There were only 1 customer and I had waited for 30 mins and finally oysters came.Restaurant wasn’t busy at all.It was taking way too long. I didn’t like server’s attitude too.I canceled beef donburi.I didn’t want to wait more.
Love this place! The energy is positive! They are very attentive and kind! Prices are reasonable for Manhattan!
This was actually the first place to ask for vaccination proof tosit indoors. Once we got over the bar atmosphere, with tall tables, stools, and a pool table, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the drinks and food. Go. Have fun, but its tapas, so be prepared for the bill.
The atmosphere was the perfect late night vibe when I went. Met the owners, they were super friendly and accommodating. Great drinks, phenomenal food, especially the dumplings and the sushito peppers. All in all, a great place to go. 14/10 would recommend.
They did not have any west coast oysters… and there was no description of the east coast they had. Like, it’s a bar. Not an oyster bar.
This place is great. Strong drinks and the food is amazing 👏! Pool table in the back and great hip hop playing. Also go see Winnie!!! She is super nice and great!
Felt safe dining inside. Tables were spread out farther than 6ft. Fun staff. GREAT PLUM WINE!
Had a great time! The Katsu was good!
Nice selection of Sake, very interesting food
Atmosphere, foodAnd service I miss this place cant wait to visit and play some pool or watch the game over great flavored food and good company
Great drinks, very friendly staff. food is ok but the portion is more like a kids meal.
Amazing place, like the locals local. Truffle salt fries go so well with lychee martinis. Ask for Winnie, she is an absolute hostess and makes delicious cocktails. Pool table too!
Excellent sake selection with fresh oysters. It doesnt have a lot of seating but the house sake is solid. Definitely go for happy hour if you can.
We came from Los Angeles to celebrate our daughters birthday. Dark Bullet is a fun place. We had a good time and the food was great. The owners are very nice and friendly.
Oysters were very good. Interesting variety of sauces. Bartender was so nice and easy to talk to. Never been to a spot like this before.
The food, drinks, and experience were all totally fine until the last 5 minutes when we got engrossed watching the Olympics triathlon mixed relay and didn’t go to sign our checks immediately. The place wasn’t busy and there were still open seats at the bar and tables. But one of the bartendes decided to TURN OFF THE TV we were watching to make us hurry and then completely played dumb and denied it when we asked her why she turned it off. (There was another tv playing soccer that everyone else was watching and stayed on.)Stunned, we signed and left, made it halfway down the block before doubling back to go somewhere else. When we passed by, we peered in out of curiosity only to watch her having turned the tv back on, switch the channels, and then land back on the same Olympics triathlon mixed relay we were watching.Wow! Just wow. I feel like there was another way to do that without being so conniving and rude about it? 🤷🏻♀️👋🏼
Possibly the best bartenders and happy hour in the entire city! For real..
Great place for happy hour, affordable, clean, and friendly host Ive yet to eat there but cant wait to do so. I shall return
Japanese sports bar, noting special and noteworthy
Had a few appetizers and an entree. The hot wings, shrimp, cucumber sushi, and beef wantons were delicious. Would recommend.
Dark cool bar. Great food and good specials
Just something about this place i love and its the two free quality pool tables, the drinks, the food and the music is chill. Nice ambiance overall.
Food is Fire.. and its free Pool why not
Nice place, good tv, and interesting menu. They didnt have full size sake bottles on the menu (waitress mentioned that they are available), only then half size which was disappointing. The food was good but greasy, which is ok. The main reason for the 3 stars is that the name indicates sake so I was expecting more from a sake bar. If youre looking for a sports bar with sake, then you will really like this place.
Beer was great also food was good. Crowd was a little old but it was a nice place
Great spot and happy hour. Ice cold Mugs
How I missed the shishito peppers from this place...Always a great place to change our worh friends. The place was bustling on a weekend...Very friendly people...The menu did got a change. But I was happy the my fav was still on it.Also the cold Sake was amazing.Thank you for recommending it.Now I love both the cold & warm Sake here....See you very soon...😊
Food blew my expectations this place is a must try
This place is a hidden treasure. Great sushi, oysters and sake. And a pool table for some fun!
Food and service is always amazing. Highly recommend you visit
Cool atmosphere, nice vibe . Oysters are fresh and very good as well as other menu items. Great sake selection as well...Im a new fan.. the whiskeys are next! Great staff, darts and pool tables are fun. Nice ppl. Great place to meet friends and hang even if you are solo you will feel comfortable and meet nice ppl. Great addition to the UWS!
Elegant atmosphere with very fair pricing.Courteous staff, they take attention to detail.Great food and drinks. Great location.
I dont understand why this restaurant has good reviews.Oysters were not fresh at all...
The Dark Bullet was an extremely friendly bar with a very pleasant decor. Throw in some pool, darts and foosball and you got an above average experience.
Excellent drinks, delicious food, and a kind, helpful staff.
Great atmosphere, people very friendly, cool place for a first date or a date!!!! Exceptional bar selection, great pool billiard tables and again Clean!
Shishito peppers are bomb. Great attention to detail, nice and good service. Very efficient.
Nice little gem with good prices and food.
It was ok. Wine selection not to broad but interesting cocktail selection.Didnt eat just had edamame which was good. Has a Billiard table.
What a wonderful place for drinks and pool. Really a lot of fun.
Really nice staff, fun upbeat lively room, free pool tables, ok sake menu, only one hot sake
HH cold sake- $7HH wine- $7HH beer- $5
Unbelievable! The food is incredible, an unbelievable selection of saki to accompany their full bar, and they have free pool, foosball, and darts! An space with no rival in the UWS
Really good food and friendly staff.
The choices of drinks was amazing g and the environment was unique
Good oyster quiet environment and nice server
Delicious and great service!! Oysters are fresh and amazing
Great place with free pool and games in the basement
Sam is amazing and so are the food and dribks. Good happy hour from 12-7 on week days
I found this place to be amazing and the service was also amazing. I do plan on going there again.
Oysters & sake are great.
Great service, cool atmosphere, incredible oysters.
Great
Great Oysters very fresh!😋
I luv this place and their happy hour drinks are amazing
Very nice cozy place for a difference in how Oysters are prepared
