This is a spot you go to to get drunk with your friends. A very college friendly restaurant for bottomless brunch. The food itself is alright. And the bottomless mimosas are actually not very good, but you’re here for a good time, not a life changing delicious time. This is a fun place. Full of young people and loud music. We ordered the eggs purgatory (very cheesy. mostly ricotta.) and the eggs benedict (on biscuit with prosciutto) The food wasn’t bad but also not amazing. An entree comes with the bottomless brunch but we opted not to get wasted. Had one mimosa each which was mid to be honest, but it is expected of the area. Next time we will try the pizza.
Made a reservation for brunch as we were planning to see a show in Union Square afterwards. The weather was lovely so we decided to sit outside which was a great choice. Gigi was our server and she was literal perfection. Attentive, answered all our questions and continually made sure we were taken care of as we dined. She even offered to take our photo as she could tell we were having a great time, very much appreciate that in a server. I had the Pappardelle which was delicious, fresh noddles, braised pork, would highly recommend. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
As with many restaurants I’ve visited in NYC, I ate here with my family; we chose this place after hearing a local band would be playing tonight.Having lived in Austin, the live music capital of the world, any place with live performances from local artists gets a rating boost in my eyes. Perhaps a rock band isn’t exactly the vibe for an Italian restaurant like this but I liked it regardless. The service was phenomenal. A loud musical performance might make ordering difficult but the staff were attentive, took our orders well, and made sure we always had water.Food-wise, you can’t go wrong with a pizza and a couple appetizers. My girlfriend and I shared the tartufa pizza, Brussel sprouts, and fries. The Brussel sprouts were by far the stars of the night (off-stage of course). They were slightly crispy with a salty-savoriness from the diced pancetta. The fries were pretty standard truffle fries, good stuff but if I were to get the two appetizers again I’d just choose Brussel sprouts twice. The tartufa pizza was top notch with mushrooms and a bit of truffle flavor. The only drawback was the slight sogginess of the bread; a slightly crispier bread would’ve made the pizza topper notch. If I visit again in the future, I’ll likely order the brussel sprouts again and perhaps some other pizza and ask if they can possibly make it a bit crunchier/toastier. Regardless, excellent food overall.
My recent visit to Carroll Place was fantastic! The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. We were served by Lina, who was super kind and provided exceptional service. She offered great advice on menu choices, making our dining experience memorable. The food was delicious, and the overall service was top-notch. Highly recommend Carroll Place for anyone looking for great food and excellent service.
We went to this place for a friends birthday dinner . Upon walking in, the place was really cute! The service started off, shaky. We had a party of 18 and the tables that they gave us was just not picking up to suit our party. We asked to be moved to a different area, but they said they had a bigger party. However, they ended up moving us to that place, which was interesting because I thought they said they had a party. It ended up that they did have a party. We just got there first. Im glad they moved us because it was definitely more comfortable. The bottom is option was all or nothing but thats pretty typical for a restaurant in the city.We got the some appetizers:- Caesar salad was made out of spinach. Spinach leave the weird taste in my mouth which has nothing to do with the restaurant. The salad was good.-The Meatballs were so good. Not dry and very flavorful. -The Fries were incredible. They had a hint of truffle flavor. They also had a nice bite to them.- The brussels sprouts were cooked well. I wish they were more saucy.- The pizza was floppy but decent. Im overall not a huge pizza fan but I liked the thinness of the crust.- The penne alla vodka lacked a decent amount of sauce for me. I needed more of that creamy tomato sauce.- The chicken was kind of dry but okay. After like 10pm, the place turned into a club vibe. The music was bumping and it was a nice mix between current and oldies songs.I would recommend!
Loved Adam, great guy. He recommend their fabulous margarita pizza. The ambiance is very Italian and American. 10/10 rating
Okay atmosphere is amazing. But they were blasting annoying pop music the whole time that did not match the upscale vibe. My beer was very flat and both the vodka pasta and Cesar salad were SO salty. The salad dressing tasted like salty mayo. I loved the e atmosphere but the music and food was a shame :/ the pizza was pretty good though. Service was pretty much non existent.
They have a group menu that was pretty worth it for value ($40/person) but the food itself was not good. The only things that stood out were the salads.Salmon was Smokey but not salted, the pasta felt overcooked, pizza was very whatever (bread was decent) etc. I’d say this is more of a bar than a food place.
Dark Industrial vibe and really fun atmosphere. The food is amazing. We were a party of 8 and opted for prefix menu which is supposed to be 38$+tax but a few items on the menu cost extra so the bill ended up being 58$ per person which felt really less for the quantity and quality of 3 course meal, botomless minosa and sangaria that was served to us. The rice balls and chicken tenders are really good for apps, mushroom pizza(we got the vegetarian version), spagetti, egg benedict was sooo good. Great vibes, atmosphere and food makes it a must go. The only challenge is limited time, they don’t allow to stay for more than 1.5 hrs so it felt rushed.
Dinner plans? Look no further than carroll place , an Italian American Gem with Gastropub twist. From Happy hour specials to Live Music nights ( after 9 PM ) , it’s a perfect blend of delicious dishes and vibrant vibes.A must go-to-spot for creating unforgettable memories.featured⤵️⭐️ Meatball in Pomodoro🍕 Margherita Pizza🥗 Endive salad with Salmon🥩 Grilled Hanger Steak🍝 Linguini Vongole🍰 Chocolate Cake🍨 Strawberry SorbetAll the food was excellent, we really enjoyed the dinner with live music 😍.
We recently visited Carroll Place, formerly known as Kenny Casterway, and had a delightful experience. The meatball Parm sliders, sautéed spinach, and wood-fired rosemary wings were absolutely delicious—each dish full of flavor and clearly crafted with care. The restaurant is spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were friendly and courteous, making the overall atmosphere warm and welcoming. We have fond memories of Kenny Casterway, especially its vibrant live band performances every night. While Carroll Place has its own charm, its great to know you can still catch live bands next door at the Red Lion, keeping the music scene alive in the neighborhood.Whether youre revisiting or discovering it for the first time, we highly recommend Carroll Place for its great food and inviting vibe.
Quick Service with Reservations (Sunday 12pm)Creaky chairs and hot environment.Small space in between tables after 4 min of sitting waiters/servers were already grazing past me, the table arrangements are out of place and too close to one another not leaving enough room for passage. I arrived at 11:50 and was sat down for a 12pm reservation water was promptly brought out but by 12 no one has checked in on me or taken my order. There are plenty people walking around.Table that was seated after me was being attended to. Had to ask to get my order taken after sitting for 15 min. Also asked if they could switch my table since there was very little room and they accommodated for a table outside which was okay and the service was fine.Food was also average. We got a pizza and some pasta dishes. Overall okay place.
The place is nice, downstairs is the bar with a dance floor and the upper floor is more in a restaurant vibe but very loud. The food and drinks were ok. The problem was with the check - the drinks prices in the bill were different than the ones on the menu!!! We asked the waiter and she kinda went to the manager, they fixed it and brought a new one, again with mistakes..seems like you really need to be on top of things and if not - youre gonna loose a few dollars. The waiter didnt have any explanation and really didnt wanna engage with us. Its very weird, not attentive service.. Will not be coming back - if you go , take a double look at the bill.
Would not really recommend, overall average to mediocre food, kinda overpriced, plenty of better food options around this area and our server was not very friendly
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! This was such a charming dinner experience, aside from the Uber soft and warming interior, the staff provided the most unbelievably welcoming service. The entire place was full of smiles and laughter from happy diners.I had an unforgettable dinner with some friends where we opted for Carroll Places new family style dinner menu which offers an array of appetizers and entrees to choose from, and dessert plus a bottomless beverage add-on.We got to select 4 appetizers and 3 entrees, and all decided to sip on endless rose. Our starter choices were Arancini, Calamari, Rosemary Wings and a Cheese and Meat Charcuterie board served with honey and soft bread. Our shared entrees were Margherita Pizza, Hanger Steak and Penne a la Vodka alongside Truffle Fries and Broccolini as sides! The huge sweeping meal then wrapped up with a Nutella Calzone Pizza, would definitely recommend for an intimate group celebrating something special or just looking to have a great time over a delicious feast.Thank you Carroll Place!
One of the best bottomless brunch places in NYC. $30 for bottomless (generous table service/refills) AND an entree. You have to tell them to slow down cause you won’t be able to keep up.The food is solid, the options range from popular brunch options like eggs Benedict, French toast, pancakes, etc. and pizza/burgers. I loved the eggs in purgatory. There’s nothing more to say. Go here with your friends.
Really loved the vibe of this place! Unfortunately our server was not only unfriendly but was also very unhelpful our entire visit. I couldn’t believe the service we had, I haven’t had an experience like it in quite some time. Food was good, we loved the bread from the cheese and meat plates, and the margarita pizza. The salmon and pasta wasn’t anything to write home about. This place could be amazing, the restaurant is so fun. Wish we enjoyed it more
Gigi was our server…and she did an amazing job! Took care of us, made us feel right at home….and provided great and efficient service! We will be back again soon and we hope to have Gigi as our server again! Food was good and came out quick…drinks were great. Good experience overall!!
Day or night, this place is lit.Make a brunch reservation because this is THE brunch place in the village. Nestled south of Washington Square Park between NYU and more NYU, the vibe is vibrant, hopeful, and bright. The brunch drinks and tapas are tasty. The crowd is bustling. And the outside inside tens are spacious and provide great views of sunlight.Highly recommended, day or night.
I must say this place is very beautiful, I bought a groupon for 2 which was a 3 course meal and wow it was amazing the food here is sooooo good and they give you a lot of food omg i really enjoyed the drinks everything i would definitely come again the manager Alex was soo friendly and nice to us live coming to places that make me feel welcomed can’t wait to go back ❣️❣️🥰😁😁😁😁😁
I came here with my husband to celebrate us getting married. The atmosphere is so cute and cozy, the food was amazing, and EVERYONE was so nice and amazing. To the owner - Thank you for making this night so special, it was unforgettable. :)
The place was very cute and cozy. For me just a little too dim, but thats just because I like everything to be bright. Customer service was on point, we never had to request for our refills. Very attentive and all our food came out as we requested. The food itself was delicious, def one of the best French Toasts Ive had and I am not a French Toast girlie. I also really loved the flavor of the steak and eggs. That came with a salad and fries. Salad had the perfect amount of dressing and the fries just had the right type of crunch!I didnt give 5 Stars because I believe that the portion to price didnt match. I was still pretty hungry and it left me wanting more.It was busy, but it didnt feel cramped. We were very comfortable.I would def recommend this place because everything we had was delicious. Im looking forward to trying the food that wasnt a part of their brunch menu next time .... it all looked so good.
Staff was very friendly. The bottomless brunch is a great value. The waitstaff promptly refilled and checked in with us. The portions were appropriate. The pizza is large enough to ave leftovers. The bathrooms were really clean.
A former historical gay bar, speakeasy, and music club has now transformed into a beautifully antique themed restaurant right by West Village.
Bottomless mimosas and brunch entree for 30 bucks (pre tax/tip) is a steal in NYC. food and drank were all delicious.
Adam was amazing!!! Food was just as good as the service. Came out fast. Parmesan cheese was fresh. Drinks good. Honey deuce drink, don’t even get me started!
Weve always liked coming to this place when in New York, however we were met with a very rude front desk gal when we arrived at 11:00 a.m. Sunday. We could see they were still setting up but asked if we could possibly go inside, as it was 5 to 11:00 and very hot outside. She looked up, glared at us, looked at her phone, and said very curtly we open at 11:00. It was 4 minutes until 11:00. So, we stood outside and waited for 4 minutes. Then another group walked in ahead of us and she seated them. Awesome.I had made reservations weeks in advance as we were coming from out of country and specified we wanted to sit on the main floor near the front. We had experienced the back room before with a lot of drunk and 20 somethings in big groups, found it very noisy and uncomfortable and didnt want that again. She began to walk us through to the back which I said again that we did not want, as per my reservation request. There was nobody else sitting in the main area anyway, and she had just seated the group that walked in from the street ahead of us right at the front table that we had actually wanted. She told us that the seats at the front were generally only for larger groups there were 4 of us and the tables seated six. I was about ready to walk out as Id already had enough with this person. But she rolled here eyes and told us we would have to leave by 12:45 if we wanted to sit there. I was very embarrassed as we were there with relatives from England and had raved about this place. I couldnt believe how rude she was considering the day had just started. I must add that this was not the person who was seating everyone as we left, just the person who was there for the first 20 minutes that morning. But I would highly recommend finding her a new position as front reception is not her calling.Aside from that, the servers we actually had were really great and made up for the rudeness. The food was still very good, but I think that will be our last time going to Carol place unfortunately.
Food was excellent- had the braised short ribs to die for and OMG the fried calamari - had two orders of that! I’m sure all the food is terrific. It is a pretty place, warm atmosphere and friendly staff.
Went as a party of 14. Thats probably the most that could fit at once.On stage. It was a Brunch family style affair.Food was amazing. They kept the mimosas/sangrias coming.Bloody Marys on request along with coffee. The bloodies were so-so.Bathrooms are coed, there is a bathroom attendant! Stalls are fully enclosed so yay.Reservations recommended.
I actually went to Carroll Place for the Bloodsugar Live Band Karaoke on Wednesday night (9pm-12am). All I can say is, if you are in NYC and up for a ridiculously hilarious, fun and entertaining night, this is a MUST DO! Doesnt matter if you can sing, just go!
Their bouncers frisked me to oblivion and forced me to pay a $20 dollar cover after not charging my friends a cover. They wanted to pocket the money themselves. They should focus on checking IDs instead of enriching themselves, lots of kids younger than 21
Went here for brunch and it was perfect!! I ordered the margherita pizza with vegan cheese and it was delicious. We also ordered a side of truffle fries for the table and they were eaten immediately. Everything was so good and the ambiance was great as well. Our server was so nice and our food came out very quickly. Highly recommend!!
Came here for brunch on a Sunday! They have a great deal for 27$ and I would say that it was my moneys worth. You get bottomless mimosas for 2hrs along with a brunch entree. I got the Rucola wood fired pizza! The pizza was very good and the ingredients were fresh which makes a big difference to any pizza! My husband got the French toast which was good as well. Got the truffle fries on the side which were decent. This place has a good vibe and love the decor. I will def come back to try their food menu.
In town visiting, was looking for a a spot with great vibe to start the night. Gigi was a great server, recommended cocktails, entrees and neighborhoods to visit in NYC.
The prices are quite reasonable, most portions are very large (the braised pork sliders were disappointingly small but everything else was very filling including the burger, the rosemary wings, etc.). Service was fine if not exemplary, did I mention the food is delicious? Visited on a Groupon ($70 for dinner for two including two cocktails) and this is one of those rare situations where I would definitely revisit even without a coupon. One downside is that while the venue is quite large but long with private corners to enjoy and the lighting is great for intimate conversation and romantic dates, the overhead speakers are everywhere and the music, which is a sometimes jarring mix of pop and chill and R&B and dance music, was just too loud.
I had a fantastic dining experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. Our server, Lina, was exceptionally attentive and provided excellent recommendations. The service was quick, and we felt well cared for throughout our visit. The food was delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.
This has got to be one of the more overrated brunch spots in the city. The omelettes are amazing, outside of that nothing is great, let alone good. The bottomless drinks are terrible, pretty sure my bloody mary was straight of a tomato juice bottle with a splash of vodka added, not a single spice of any kind, ice was half melted. Prices are decent. The service was mediocre, the atmosphere wasnt for us. We were stuck at a mini round table that couldnt even hold our breakfast plates entirely as half of our plates were hanging off the table edge over our laps. The restaurant is far too noisy, you cant even hear the person across from you sitting at a dollhouse-sized table.
Amazing food and drinks, especially their pizzas and Black Russians. Great interior. The space is great for larger groups, and more intimate gatherings. Crowd was casual, smart. Staff was responsive and accommodating.
Pretty cool bar. Here for Peter Frank’s talented performance. Also had some great Margherita pizza and drinks.
Do NOT do the family style brunch here. I was invited to a friends birthday brunch here where about 32 people came out. When I got the invite I was a little worried as I had read reviews about them not serving enough food for the family style brunch, especially at the price of $35 plus tax per head once it got up to 32 people...I had gotten there about 10 minutes late and by then there was nothing left of the first of the 2 appetizers chosen. It was described as 8 chicken wings per table... With 10 people at a table. The atmosphere of the place was nice actually although they didnt set enough seats/tables up for the reservation. The food was also good. The issue is that there wasnt enough of it. My friend who made the reservation talked to staff about needing more food brought out twice without much if a response. Upon calling to talk to a manager the next day we also received a sub-par response of him saying we should have mentioned something day of (which she did).Lesson learned here... You can come for brunch but do NOT do family style. You will not have enough food and leave hungry, especially an issue considering it is bottomless brunch.
At just $27 for an entree and a bottomless amount of any brunch drink, Carroll Place is a bargain. However, it earns its five star rating from the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. My breakfast pizza was delicious and my friend that I was dining with said his burger was one of the best he had in his life. Reservations are recommended because Carroll Place is popular!
Great spot for bottomless brunch if you have a large group, we were 17 people! All appetizers were served family styled and we pre picked all our items. The food was good, came out in a timely manner and the price was reasonable! We received an incorrect entree, but it didn’t bother us! Bottomless drinks were okay, we just stuck to the mimosas, but they have sangria and other options!
Our reviews had over 52 million in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Carroll Place. Sitting next to the bar was MICK JAGER all by himself, but we were too star struck to say hello!!!! This was a not so busy Wednesday night. Crazy. This is the most fun place to eat and drink in NYC. Right down where are the bars and nightlife are but a stunning crowd in here that is lots of fun. Do not miss out on the food. The salt and pepper ribs app is a MUST HAVE. Super fall off the bone tender and great flavor. Note the small pizza oven that uses hardwood to give each pie a great flavor. All the pizza is fantastic. Go early on Friday and Saturday as it can get busy but DJ in the house about 9 pm and last until 3 or 4 am. We met 2 of the owners there and they took the time to show us around. Great drinks at good prices and the best bartenders in town. This place is huge with lots of rooms down and up. Note that there is a stage in the back room for live bands as well. Used to be called Kennys Castaway for 40 years but changed hands 3 years ago and is even better now. Fun secret is the all you can eat and all you can drink brunch for a very cheap price. You sit down and they give you 2 hours of all the food and all the drinks you want. Do not drive home after that!!!! LOL. Two big thumbs up to this place. The manager Luke is a great guy and will make sure you have a wonderful time. Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 52 million views in the last 12 months and we thank you for that. We dont get paid, we just love to eat. Be sure to click on RobH at the top of this review to see all of them and to follow us if you like good food and FUN. If we do a review it is because we love it.
Great brunch spot. Our server was incredible. The food was excellent. Their eggs benedict were sooooo delicious. All of their pizzas are a hit. I’ve tried most of them and it is a no-brainer. This place is definitely a safe choice for a good bottomless brunch on the weekends!
Adam was an amazing server. The ambiance was exquisite, and I truly couldn’t have had a more pleasant experience. ADAM FOREVER
They were very accommodating when our party of 6 showed up thinking we had brunch reservations but didnt. Food was excellent and the bottomless brunch drinks were totally worth it.
We are are at restaurant right now.The place is beautiful. We are waiting for our meals. Plates look awesome. The lady who welcomes us was awesome.I know we are tourists, but we need a smile from our server, please.Pizzas are just woaw... Fantastic
Food is great! Service was outstanding, Lina our waitress was really good and ambiance was very fun!
We really liked the vibe. Place got very full with a nice crowd of folks going bracing windy rain on a Saturday evening. Great location near the comedy clubs and other venues. Service was meh. Food was meh. Hot drinks were warm/hot.
The food was delicious and I loved the vibe in here. Adam was also such a great waiter.
Amazing place. Superb ambience. Best place to hang out with friends .. liked their food menu. Slightly upscale but overall satisfactory .. nice range of IPAs and beers.
Generous service, delicious food, great ambience!
Carroll Place exceeded all expectations during our recent family outing for their renowned bottomless brunch. The cozy, rustic ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable gathering. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the rosemary chicken. Cooked to perfection, the chicken was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The rosemary added a delightful aromatic touch that made each bite a true pleasure. What made the experience even more special was the impeccable service. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed to enjoy our brunch to the fullest. The diverse menu offered something for everyone, making it a hit with the entire family.Carroll Places bottomless brunch is an absolute must-try. From the delicious food to the warm atmosphere and excellent service, it was a fantastic experience that we cant wait to repeat. Highly recommended!
Did family style. Plenty of delicious food. Celebrated my granddaughters Sweet 16. Only complaint is they wanted us to pay $5pp to bring our own birthday cake.
Loved everything. Adam was great! Food was amazing! Best park I’ve ever had.
Went to Carroll Place a few weeks ago hoping for a nice time in the west village. Very glad I went, I brought a friend and we were able to dance to some great songs. Victoria the bartender was great, she seemed happy that we were enjoying ourselves and even danced a little bit with us from behind the bar. Very strong drinks, too! Would love to go again, great atmosphere.
We went for brunch and loved the service and atmo!! Thank you Gigi for the amazing service!!
Ive been to Carroll Place for brunch on the weekends and happy hour during the week and have always had a great experience! This is one of the better brunch deals in Manhattan- $30 for an hour and a half of unlimited brunch drinks and an entrée. They have a great selection of entrées too! They also have some great deals if you decide to stop by for happy hour which is Wednesday - Friday. Im a huge fan of the rosemary chicken wings and the Arancini (risotto balls). Carroll Place is fairly large with a small upstairs section, but it still gets crowded so I would recommend making a reservation.
I had the grilled branzino which was outstanding - the skin was delightfully crispy! My husband had the lasagna and it was also amazing and deceptively light! The menu online for drinks has changed and I dont see the amazing mezcal creation that I had (maybe its been added since the menu was posted?).I havent been this excited about a restaurant in a long time!
The End: My brother and his girlfriend plan to return in the future and I would also totally return to this restaurant if I lived in the area. The Start: Was given this address by my brother to meet up for diner as I passed through town. The (+) Middle: 1. The Rosemary chicken was so tender, the meat practically fell off the bone and tasted so good! 2. I ordered a medium rare Gorgonzola burger and was presented with another tasty dish. 3. Tried a cut of the sliced steak which tender and tasty. Have I said the food was tasty yet? Cuz it was tasty! Ive tasted better truffle french fries, but they still complimented our meals nicely. 4. The waitress was very nice and efficient. The (-) Middle: 1. While I was disappointed that the waitress never refilled my waterglass which was empty most of the meal, it was my fault as I failed to notice the large green water-filled glass bottle at the other end of the table against the wall. 2. The dessert said Gelato, but Ive had Gelato and this tasted like ice cream. Ice cream is tasty, but should be labelled as such. I could be wrong, but Id be surprised. 3. The music was a bit loud. My dinner companions laughed when I mentioned this as it had been even louder before I arrived theyd already ask for it to be turned down (Which CP was nice enough to do.)The Final: The food was so good I was more than willing to gloss over the (-)s. Very impressed.Oh yeah; -Be careful entering the restroom door; there are stairs directly within which lead down to a single coed, multi-stalled bathroom. I almost fell.-Definitely call ahead to check for ADA accomodations I might have missed seeing.-Brother ordered pizza. I thought it was ok, but he polished off the whole thing.-Brother used Groupon.
The staff here is great and the portions are beyond filling. Stop in for a great brunch menu with an incredible unlimited brunch drinks special.
Be aware! There are a lot of hot chicks there. You can fall in love.
Adam was a great server, would recommend going here. The bottomless deal was phenomenal and affordable.
Our group attended specifically to hear the Peter Frank band, especially Billy Burt on bass guitar and vocals. We were intrigued by the karaoke live band so stuck around and Melissa in our group actually performed and received an overwhelming applause. Food & service was great!
We had a delightful bottomless brunch experience. Their brunch menu features bottomless mimosa, Bloody Mary,or rose sangria and one entree of your choice for $30. I got the steak and eggs which cost an extra $5. The mimosas were definitely not watered down. I’d definitely come back again.
Love everything about this place over the years. Just getting better. Simple great menu. Orichetti dish was awesome. Fiona was a terrific server! Highly recommend.
We were a party of 15 so you know it was a pre fix menu… gratuity already included which I usually don’t mind however the food was gross and the service was poor. Waiter was rude, dry, seemed annoyed we were a large party and took forever to circle back to see if we needed refills or anything. And no he wasn’t alone he had the help of like 3 busboys so he wasn’t sweating… ok so the food for $85 per person was trash. Cesar salad is not a salad so yea, meatballs very undercooked and the burrata was the size of an infants portion. The meal was pizza, fries and pasta (no meat) bc anything else was extra… the unlimited drinks were from a small limited menu that didn’t even have cocktails. It was beer, wine, and rose sangria - gross.Music was ok, smelled like sweat on the first floor bc people were dancing and I guess they don’t have good air filters or whatever. And the bathroom…. GROSSSSSSSoo basically you’re in NYC go somewhere better :)
Adam was amazing. The pizza is the best, will be back again!
Great restaurant for brunch. For $30 you get an entree and an hour and half of bottomless mimosas or sangria or Bloody Mary’s. I ordered steak and eggs. It was great. The service was good and the ambience was very nice.
Bustling atmosphere and music is always great for groups. Bottomless brunch is a great deal.
Carroll Place is one of my favorite restaurants. They have the best wood fire wings and also the best staff.Oli is the absolute best. He frequently came back to check to see if I was okay and offered his recommendations. 10/10
Adam is the best server here! Honey dews are my new fav!
My wife and I swung by Carroll Place for some drinks and munchies, and boy, did we have a good time! Were huge Burrata fans, so we couldnt resist ordering that as our appetizer. Alongside it, we grabbed a cold beer and a nice glass of wine. Let me tell you, that appetizer was on point! They served it up with these bread strips made from pizza dough that were perfectly cooked. We happily dunked those bad boys in the delicious glaze on the Burrata. The service was on the ball too. Our drinks and appetizer arrived faster than you can say cheers! We got so into the vibe of the place that we ended up hanging out longer than planned, just shootin the breeze and enjoying more drinks. Carroll Place gave us a night to remember, and were already plotting our next visit. Trust me, you wont be disappointed if you give it a go!
He needed to close up and we weren’t ready so instead of kicking us out they were really kind and gave us dessert. I appreciate it they made another place outside for us and the manager Steve was so thoughtful. They really try to make it work and the food was delicious
The food is incredible! We had tartufo pizza and the homemade lasagna. The appetizer was burrata cheese, desert was tiramisu. Everything was delicious. The cocktails are amazing too. Definitely worth a visit! Price is super reasonable... We are absolutely coming back.
Great bottomless brunch. Our server adam was great and super attentive.
FOOD:Strawberry cheesecake = it was on the lighter fluffy side, but was still really good with real jam and a crusty crustSERVICEGreat. Nice hostess and also really nice bartender too. Last time I stopped in, the host was really friendly and helpful too when asking about live music in the areaATMOSPHERE:Love the warm dim Edison lights reminds me of an old saloon or tavern with the rustic wood beams and hanging “candle” light fixture, and table candles. The disco ball was a hint of modern times though lol. Anyway like that it’s on Bleecker street, conveniently in Greenwich/West Village area with so many things to walk to on the same street, blocks, and neighborhood. I believe Mondays is karaoke night or something. Might have to come back to verify.
The waitress claims I went over my $150 Groupon spend but was unable to provide me with a receipt of what my bill was and charged me an extra $50. They said they would email me my receipt the next day come to find out their closed for the next two days. I will be disputing my charges with them.. Thieves
Aiden was so amazing. He was attentive to our needs above and beyond after i was having a bad day. In the words of Aiden Nice people do Nice things for nice people He was very appreciative us being nice. Sergio was an absolute pleasure and was our starting bartender/server and delivered perfectly before his break.
Onlettes come with salad, fries, and toast! Great bottomless with responsive service, loved our server Adam!!!!
Delicious brunch! Great vibe, DJ amazing! Drinks were coming! Definitely recommend.
Used to love this place and have been here many times pre covid. I came in at around 10:30 last night for a drink and was shocked to have had such a negative experience with the female bartender working. She was extremely nasty to me from the beginning of our interaction. She demanded I give back my drink that she had just given me and basically threw the money I had just paid for it (and tip) back at me, simply because I initially asked for something different than what she gave me and politely let her know. It didn’t have to be a big deal but she made it one with her confrontational attitude. Not sure if she was having a bad day but it shouldn’t matter. You don’t speak to others that way, especially customers. I barely go out anymore and people like that remind me why. Safe to say I won’t be back for a while.
Service was horrible. Waitresses were super snobby and standoffish and spent the whole time at the bar talking. Wouldnt even get us water till we asked. Halfway thru meal the bussers were throwing chairs around and folding up tables super loud behind us. Felt totally unwelcome there, at least until the check was due of course, which they dropped on our table while we were eating.Food was delicious at least. However how the hell does an Italian restaurant not have a peppercorn grinder? Embarrassing.
The food we ordered that did come was good. The ambiance and space are awesome. But the service was excruciatingly slow and inattentive. Things came out of the kitchen, were set on our table, touched by people in our party, and picked up to serve to the correct table. We also never got half the food we ordered after over an hour and a half, so a few of us left hungry. Probably a great place to grab a drink but I would not recommend dining here.
Had my birthday here, but felt like this place would be perfect for 20-somethings (not to give my age away!). I had ~12 people so we had to pick from a family style menu. Food was decent and plentiful, but the biggest positive was that the check ended up being very reasonable. I’ve also been here for Happy Hour which I’d recommend more highly than eating here. Good wine specials!
It was okay to go with friends. A little bit overpriced and you cannot expect a great service for a big group, but i had fun.
Cool bar with pretty good food. It was easy to get a table for Brunch on a Sunday with no reservation.
Gigi is the best server ever! How much she care about us, the hospitality and smile that she always had! Little big things that make your meal better! So as your day!
Such a fun place! My large group went for brunch and it did not disappoint! We all had an awesome time. The food was incredible. The service was so-so but we did have a large group so I could imagine it was overwhelming. I will def be returning!
Cute place to brunch. I would recommend making reservations as it is a very popular spot. It has an unlimited drinks option which was nice. I would suggest that they place their pitchers in the fridge before serving as our rose sangria was warm, so we had to ask for a glass of ice. The food was good. They have your classic brunch options with the optional choices of pizza and pasta. Service was good. Please be aware there is a timed seating limit. They will politely ask you to wrap it up. For covid they do have barriers between each table on the sidewalk.
Awesome staff, incredible ambiance, amazing brunch!!! $26 for endless (and I mean ENDLESS mimosas, sangria and bloody Marys) drinks AND an entree! They give you a full two hours for brunch, and for our group of 7, that was perfect. We all left super drunk (they never let your glasses get to empty). Staff is there if you need, but they dont hover or rush you! The pizza was really good, even according to our sober friend! We will be back! Best brunch in NYC! :)
My friends and I were looking for some where to eat and came upon this place. The food was amazing but the hospitality was even better. We had the best server Kayla who was energetic and helpful with our order. Would definitely recommend and I will definitely be back!
Gigi was the BEST server I’ve EVER had here!!!!🥳
Absolutely loved it! The rosemary chicken wings were phenomenal. The chicken milanese was served with an unexpected heaping arugula and avocado salad. The late night (10pm) weekend vibe is happening but not obnoxiously loud. The restaurant space is also very large and would be great for bigger groups. I’ll definitely be going back.
Great place, delicious food and Lina was pretty good server!!!
Great place for happy hour apps and drinks for a group. There was also a fun band playing in the back after happy hour. I’ll be back.
Except for our server Alex, everything else was horrible. One of my best friends birthday celebration must have a redo all because everything, pardon my language sucked. Would I recommend this place,...yes, after I see changes 😉
Went there for the bottomless brunch with a couple of friends, overall it was good. Our sever was Mondy, we was super helpful and overall made our experience enjoyable. I ordered the steak and eggs. The eggs were super fluffy and creamy which I loved. The steak was good as well. The sangrias were eh not the best. They will also start to kick you out from your table after your time is up, which is kind of understandable because it does get packed.
Had a reservation for 3:45 but they didnt tell us the kitchen was closing shortly thereafter when the reservation was made lol so they requested we call the rest of our party who didnt get there yet to ask what they wanted. Bizarre and whacky and not even worth it.
The food was delicious. Vibe and music were great --- the service needs improvement.Initially received hot mimosas but were able to get that corrected. Our food order wasnt taken for about 20 minutes and then our burger entree came out 30 minutes before the 2 pizza entrees. And it didnt help that the other two tables that were sat after us got their pizza entrees a good 15 minutes before our table. Our first server was apologetic and pleasant. Told us our 3rd guest, who arrived a little later than us, didnt have to partake in the bottomless brunch if he didnt want to and for him to just order his entree. We didnt ask this. This was her offer. Our 2nd server was rude, judgmental, unpleasant. She insisted we receive our check early even though we werent finished, because she wanted to start a separate dinner tab she claimed. She made us feel like we scammers when we mentioned the 1st server told our guest he didnt have to order bottomless as we noticed the charge on our bill. She was unrelenting and accused our guest of sharing in the mimosas. We werent about to argue with her for a $15 credit that was OFFERED to us, so we let it go.Then after bringing out the bill early and initially telling us we didnt need to pay the bill right away she kept returning to pick it up and very rudely interrupting an ongoing conversation to tell us which card she was about to swipe.
Honestly the worst service that could have ever been provided. Our waitress Manuela was honestly lackadaisical in how she handled our table . Our food was under cooked and she tried to justify that , “that’s how Italians cook their food”. I’m seated in a group which contained Italians .The food was taken back. And brought back out better . The waitress never bothered checking in if it was to taste , or satisfaction. Furthermore we came for bottomless brunch, and had zero refills provided by her despite asking and waiting for half hour plus for them .Based on the service we received alone , I would never recommend this place . Subpar at best .
They still have their vegan menu up on their website, so I went in thinking they had decent vegan options. I came in already disappointed. Can they not update their website? You can add vegan cheese to any pizza and take out the meat but it doesn’t leave you with many options. My pizza barely had any cheese and they charge extra for vegan. It was also drenched with arugula and only 3 cherry tomatoes. False advertising. Do not come here as a vegan.
You cannot go wrong with the $30 all you drink brunch, which includes both food and drinks. I get tipsy turvy and ready to prance around the city every time I go here. Food is yummy. I gave this waiter my number and he didn’t text me but I’ll consider that a fluke
The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. Our server, Adam, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He made our evening even more enjoyable with his excellent service. Highly recommend this place!
Today I had brunch with a party fo 16 (made a reservation weeks ahead of time) and we were so well taken care of by our waitress Kristina. Catering to a group of 16 is hard, but she was awesome. The family style menu (for parties over 8) was a unique plus of this place-- loved the constant bites of food being brought out instead of one large plate for each person. It kept conversation going and the energy of the meal up. Great atmosphere and food (especially the orecchiette with pesto and sausage!!!). Just overall an amazing birthday brunch. Thank you Kristina and the rest of the Carroll Place staff!
Pretty good food, beautiful restaurant and mood. Music was blasting but that’s also because we were right by a speaker. There’s tons of space and different places to sit. Our server did take a bit to get to us but we weren’t in a rush.
Ive been here a couple of times but the last time made it great. I had a large group that was supposed to meet for brunch. 10 people last minute, attempted to make the reservation the Friday for the upcoming Sunday. I attempted to make a reservation on Open table as early as possible to get the brunch deal for unlimited mimosas, but because my party was so large I was instructed to call. When i called, the hostess told me that it was not possible to make a reservation for that many people. Confused by this (because I had been here before) asked about the table space. I was told by the hostess that they only make reservations for 2-4 groups ALWAYS... confused and determined I tried Yelp reservations which allowed me to make a reservation for 4, because brunch ends at 5, which still allowed for my party to get served unlimited drinks for brunch. When we arrived, it was explained to us that they stop allowing parties for brunch on at 3:45, but when I explained what had happened with the confusion of booking a large party, management was kind enough to give my party 2 large carafes of mimosas and sangria for the mix up. Even though we werent able to get brunch, we ended up with a delicious dinner, some free drinks and a good time.I reccomend planning further in advance. But last minute use Yelp and book before 3 to get brunch!
Aiden, our bartender, was the best I’ve ever had. We stumbled upon this place on a way to a show and were so, so pleasantly surprised. Really excellent drinks and the best service!
Some short white guy with a beard outside working the lines was trying to act tough not letting people back in that he gave the thumbs up to not even an hour before. Laughable, thinks he runs the business but can clearly see why he’s working outside lines lol. Must give him some sort of power trip. Just a sad place to hangout on weekends especially because of this one employee. Just makes it harder for people to have consistent fun.
Ive been here for happy hour and setting up large brunch gatherings. Everyone is attentive and the food is delicious. My last group outing was about 20 people and they called me to confirm my numbers then also to confirm the menu. Price wise for the food and service is definitely worth it
Came on Halloween weekend of 24 (early Halloween Saturday)... guy (bathroom attendant) harassed me for a tip for a starburst and washing my hands, real aggressive, blocking the door before I gave him one. I just didnt like it, I go what because Im by myself, Ill give you a tip and so, he got a bouncer and a shorter patron fishing for brownie points...yall are soft & corny... kicking me out because a bathroom attendant is begging for a tip 😂Gtfomf
Great wood oven pizza. This is a great place for a drink out with friends, but make sure to get a reservation!
Yeahhhh. I wouldnt recommend this place. I heard good things about it so I decided to give it a try. Granted it was 4 in the afternoon, but regardless they had music blasting sooo loud you couldnt hear yourself think let alone talk to your table. Our waiter couldnt care less, he was over in the corner most of the time taking what seemed like a personal phone call. They had like three tables seated and it still took them 45 minutes to get our food. It was just a really weird experience between the staff lack of concern attitude and the environment. The only reason Im giving them 2 stars instead of one is because the food was good! I would be interested in trying the place during peak times like brunch, or dinner, but I wont recommend to my friend group. The only reason id come back is if was a tag along to something.
Had: Era Montepulcino D’Abruzzo, Truffle Fries, Brussel Sprouts, Salumi And Formaggi. The waiter kept trying to take away our dishes even though we weren’t completely done with our meals. (Maybe they are trained to pressurize their customers to leave early or something)
Such a great spot for the best pasta and pizza!! Still thinking about it!The music was also great!
Nice rustic place that serves decent wood fire pizza. Very reasonably priced as well! Neat spot for dinner/drinks
The food was delicious. The burrata salad had a nice ratio of cheese to tomatoes and arugula. The meatballs were very flavorful and moist. I enjoyed the overall meal, but would recommend that you wait to order your main course until after you’ve finished your appetizer. The food came out too quickly so what I expected to be a nice, drawn out meal became a dinner that lasted about 45 minutes (two drinks, two appetizers, a pizza, and pasta were ordered).
Carroll place was a great experience. Went for brunch before Governors ball music festival. Their bottomless brunch was very good for the price, and service to refill drinks was fast. The crowd is fairly young, mostly 21-30 age range. The food was also very good.
The wait staff took 40 minutes to seat us even though we had a reservation and then tried to cut short our unlimited brunch time. They then tried to resolve the matter by allowing us to finish the drinks at the bar and then yelled at us for crowding the bar. Food was mediocre.
It was a Queen night and I absolutely loved it. Beautiful alternative performance of iconic songs. I wish there were more events similar to this.
This place is the real deal when it comes to quality service, food, and atmosphere. Is there anything else?I come to NYC for work all the time and frequent many different establishments. This place meets all my needs and then some. The pizza makes me happy. Pizza should make people happy. If pizza doesnt make you happy, its not good pizza. This pizza, its good. Its a good place for sad people. If you are sad, come eat the pizza and you will be happy. So much love right now.
I had been to this place for brunch a couple of times years ago and always loved it. My friends and I made a reservation for our post-vax reunion brunch and wow has it gone downhill. The “rosé sangria” is not sangria at all, but maybe a grapefruit mimosa. I’m not totally sure. The “sangria” and mimosas were both basically all juice. They brought out our cheese without plates and our server was nowhere to be found so we wound up eating it over the table. One entree came out by itself, and my friend almost finished her meal before the next entree came. Then the two pizzas came about 10 minutes after that. The server also told my friend her entree came with a salad but it was just undressed arugula. I’m giving two stars cause the food was still good, and this might still be a good option for dinner, but I won’t be bothering.
Came for brunch and had the BEST time! Music is great, food delicious, service was amazing. Our server ADAM went over and beyond! Definitely coming back - ASK FOR ADAM!!!
Heard great things, but the atmosphere and location were the only things that held up. Mimosas were orange juice, and when we asked about the champagne content it was met with contempt. Brunch was meh, it was served before we even got our mimosas so we were disappointed when they didn’t come through either.
Found this place - when I was looking for top places in NYC for boozy brunch. The vc reviews were amazing and the menu looked delicious plus they had a vegan menu 😍So I booked for a boozy brunch on Sunday to celebrate my birthday with a bunch of friends! Place was super cute, staff was friendly, great prices, AMAZING FOOD! Would definitely go back
Everything was wonderful from the time I stepped in, to the time I left. My waitress was so kind & accommodating (shout out to Farah!). The bottomless brunch is fantastic, the mimosas had me 🥴, the pizza was phenomenal, & those rosemary wings baybee! Delicious! Cant wait to go back!
Food was decent, not great. Bottomless brunch was cheap but mimosas were room temp. Couch area felt kind of dirty. Better options in the city.
Bottomless brunch comes with quickly-refreshed and decently strong pitchers of mimosa, pink sangria (both really good), or (I think) blood Mary. The food is surprisingly good too, better than expected. The music is kind of loud, at least on the weekends, but not in a bad way - just something to keep in mind depending on who you plan to go with.
We did the family style brunch. They were accomodating enough to covere us on vegan diets and the drinks came in very quickly. The peach drink wasnt very good, so most of us stuck to the mimosa. They did let us take leftover food home, which was a nice surprise.
Great bottomless brunch! Loved the drinks, our waitress Embla was just the sweetest. I had the truffle polenta eggs, they were okay, but the breads basket with all the various dips was great. 5 stars, I had so much fun here
If you go with a group they’ll force you to do the family style menu. It’s a ton of food but I wouldn’t say it’s precisely meant to be artistic or well presented. The experience was funny as they kept bringing plates on to this tiny table.
I had the pleasure of dining at Caroll Place recently, and I must say that our waiter Adam made the experience truly exceptional. From the moment we were seated, Adams warm and attentive service stood out. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. His genuine friendliness and efficient service ensured that we felt well taken care of throughout the meal. Adam’s attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made our dining experience memorable. If you’re visiting Caroll Place, be sure to ask for Adam—he’s a true asset to the team!
This place is a well oiled machine let me tell ya. They get you in on time, like exact time and get you out on time, you can linger for a few minutes past your two hour end time or be moved to the bar. I appreciated that because we were hangry and ready by our reservation time and Im sure those who took our table felt the same way. We had continuous mimosas & rose sangrias until we left. They work super quickly despite the place being so busy. All the dishes we had were delicious. I look forward to going back again soon.
Didn’t honor a reservation because santacon happened. We also didn’t know it wasn’t going to happen until we turned up. Such bad management.
If you find this review helpful, please like it below. Carroll place is a large traditional Italian restaurant in the village of NYC. We went there with a large group and were surprised and impressed by the food and service. Cozy ambience and rustic decoration make it a great place to enjoy a leisurely dinner.
Went for bottomless brunch, $35 for 2 hours unlimited bloody marys, mimosas and Rose sangria. Food and drinks werent bad but as we were finishing our drinks near the 2 hour mark, a staff member came up to us and abruptly told us to get up because they needed the table. Definitely get Sunday brunch in the city is packed but theres always a nice way to say something.
Oh my goodness... this place was GREAT. Used open table to get a reservation. They followed up and took great care of use when we got there. The atmosphere was fantastic. The service was really good too. The food was to die for.... I am not local but if I was I would be in here all the time. I cant recommend this place enough.
Cozy bar with a stage for live music in the back
Been here multiple times. I come for the Rosemary wings! Beer is reasonably priced. Usually stop by on a Friday night after work. Usually crowded. Staff can be a toss up, server from last visit was great. Will return.
Built on an old basement, I did not realize that this place is a boozy brunch! As boozy brunch spots go, the food is actually quite decent and the patrons arent too sloshed. Sat at the bar and had the truffle pizza (so good), baked egg dish, and the other truffle eggs. They do a selection of coffee, teas, etc as well as mimosas.Music is what youd expect for a mainstream Saturday night ~ GREAT dance music
Id love to give this place 3.5 stars. We went to this place for brunch as a group of 8 for bottomless brunch. Initially they told us that for 8 people ($35 pre-fix + taxes + gratitude) therere going to be ONLY 2 salads and 6 main dishes served. Naturally, we expressed our unhappiness with this state of affairs, after which we were served enough food to fill us all up. We ended up paying $50 per person. Honestly, I think it is way too expensive for brunch which consisted of green salad, a slice of pizza and a piece of omelet. However, the place is super cute, the music is alright (way too loud, though), and they dont really rush you there. I wont be going back there, but I can see how some might really like this place.
Went for Saturday lunch/dinner. Menu is a mix of traditional Italian dishes and American staples such as burgers, pizza, and pasta. Presenting a rustic atmosphere while staying fresh, this is a great option for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Staff is friendly, attentive, and swift. Definitely would mark as a must visit off Bleeker.
Really fun and romantic Italian place in a great area. The food is fantastic! They have a pretty good burger for an Italian cuisine and their pizzas are a great starter. Also a good place to pregame before a show at LPR. Try to dine in the back room for a quieter and more restaurant like feel.
Nice brunch vibe but the seating is a little too close for comfort. Wish the seating for two was more spacious. There is only just enough space on a table for two to accommodate drinks and appetizers. $30 for bottomless mimosas, rose sangrias, or bloody Mary’s. The rosemary wings and salt and pepper wings are AMAZING. We ordered pizzas as our entree. The classics Margarita and Armatrecianna are delicious. Reservations are a must as the place gets pretty crowded. Good music and vibe. Definitely try it out.
Great restaurant lovely food fabulous service from the waitress with dark hair and glasses (sorry cant remember her name) would recommend
I ate at the restaurant on a November Sunday, just after 11:00 am. I was seated outdoors along the sidewalk and I ordered the Eggs Benedict. This was my first time here. The eggs were done medium, as ordered (see photos). The meat was Prosciutto rather than Canadian bacon. Im not a fan of Prosciutto, but it wasnt bad. There wasnt much taste to the Hollandaise sauce. The Prosciutto provided the flavor to the egg ensemble. The fries that came with the meal were seasoned but a bit strong on the garlic side.
One of the best pizza i have had so far in nyc. Chicken wings too. Amazing atmosphere, perfect to celebrate with friends.
The best bottomless brunch! i had a reservation but still had to end up waiting 20 minutes after. i dont think i ever saw the bottom of my drink. they kept coming! downside was the food wasnt that great but i was too drunk to care
Beautiful spot. great customer service (thank you Adrian!)draft could be a little coldergood selection of bourbon. love love the fact they offer large ice cubes and a solid tumbler. spot on!
Adam was the best ever!! Made us have the best fun!!
Fantastic restaurant. One of the best pizzas Ive ever tried. Pasta was excellent too. Not bad pricing either. Can be very crowded but upstairs dining room is mostly away from the noise.
The food is more than Amazing .. i was shocked of how tasty it is . We ordered Tofu pizza with Lasagnia and brussel sprouts
Gigi was phenomenal. Thank you for being such a great host to our brunch!
Place was beautiful and so were the instagraming nearly sexual chocolate patrons who had the sense enough to have a good manager to told me that she would handle it when I requested to be their photographer. Not my style, but what is style anyway. Carroll Place definitely has an elegant, rusty neuvous Merlot to it. Who knows, I was just killing time waiting for the Bitter End to open. They saved my phone. How cool ; )
Great for birthday party sizes of 10 at a table uo stairs. More than 14 should split to more tables. Waiters are generous with refilling bottomless brunches. Party size platters are not large but with multiple plates, it is satisfying overall.
Mimosas were all juice . Asked for less juice and still it was horrible . I love the place been goung for 10 years but drinks r no longer good
Attended brunch at Carroll place for maybe the 3rd time yesterday. This however was my first time enjoying the family style format since we had a party of 16. You get to choose 2 starters, we got arancini and meatballs, both of which are delicious and then 3 entrees. We got the rucola pizza, eggs Benedict and French toast. The eggs benny were a little disappointing as the eggs were overdone but it has to be hard poaching so many eggs at once. Finally they brought out 2 nutella calzones which we could barely eat we were so full. The bottomless brunch experience is accompanied by literally endless carafes of mimosas and Carroll Places signature rosé sangria. You can also get bloody Marys, coffee, tea and soda. The service at this location is wonderful and you absolutely get your moneys worth. Thank you!
Solid bar and restaurant. Prices are pretty standard for the area and the menu has enough variety to please everyone. The truffle fries were delicious and the wine on tap is a good value
Drinks are small and expensive, small portions of food.. Meatball appetizer was good.I ordered Toasted Almond drink and it was good, but it came with 1 gigantic ice cube the size of my glass.
Came for brunch, the restaurant has great ambiance and the food was even better! Adam, our waiter, was attentive and accommodated our needs. I got the French toast. Will come back!
My absolute favorite new West Village find! It doesnt get much more charming than this wood-walled, bottle-lined cozy spot that carries a huge wine and mixed drink menu, plus a short list of really well-crafted Italian noshes like small pizzas from their wood-burning oven, meatballs served in a ramekin with sauce (save your pizza crusts to dip), and other tasty choices. Its reasonably-priced, relaxed, and feels like a place out of time: such a fun little oasis on busy Bleecker Street.
The half off bottle happy hour is amazing here! Also the Italian food is good especially for the pricing in this area. Great for after work or as a pre-night out dinner with friends.
Excellent food, and their upstairs handled our large party very well. Highly recommend for small company parties, or just a nice night out with your significant other. A must try if youre in the area!
Gigi was amazing! If you have a chance sit in her section!!
I highly recommend getting a reservation but if you don’t: I arrived as a walk in and put my name down on a waitlist in case of a potential cancel on a reservation and it came through. Even though we didn’t have the full 2 hours at our spot (another reservation was after us) the staff was so nice and let us have more drinks at the bar. The food was absolutely delicious and for $27 which includes bottomless brunch alcs and an entree. Highly recommend this place so much fun!!!
Long wait time, and because it was crowded, we didn’t get proper service, from waiting 20 min at the bar for seats to getting the wrong order. They gave us a table after a friend decided to leave and the orders were replaced with the correct order. Food was good but overall experience could have been better for a first timer.
Always a blast at night- good music, disco balls, and plenty of space to dance.
Steve made our night! Burrata with flatbread was amazing as was the lasagna and gnocchi. Lively atmosphere!
Really enjoyed it . Can go with bunch of friends or date night . Rosemary wings are amazing . Lasagna is also good . Both are a bit salty but it’s a must to taste !Beautiful atmosphere and staff is nice .
Had an amazing time. Adam was the best waiter ever. Adam makes the place. Carolls Place, more like Adam’s place
The ambiance is amazing; great crowd. If you sit up front, you will receive happy hour prices but I sat in the back due to the noise level as I wanted to hear my friend. Food is reasonable price but drinks are expensive.
Old reliable, can’t go wrong if you have a group dinner or date in the area. There’s usually availability to reserve a spot and they have a ton of seating.
I really like this type of place and the foods are so good. Excellent for happy hour and groups.
Racist! Racist! Racist! I went based on a recommendation . This is about the 4th time I went The food is ok not good . I go because of the brunch special unlimited for 2 hrs is not a bad deal. This past weekend I went and had reservations . I got there about 45 mins before my reservation time traffic was surprisingly lite . The female host was willing to seat us but the high table was so small we preferred to wait. We waited exactly 50 minutes so technically only 5 minutes over our reservation time. I approached the white male and said excuse me like 5 times and he refused to acknowledge me but then a white couple came in and he not only greeted them but sat them. I was shocked. When the female host came back i told her what happened she said nothing. I asked if he was the supervisor or manager she said yes. I will not be returning.
This is a solid spot. I like coming here for a drink with a friend or a casual date. The food is good, but not great. The wait staff have always been friendly and accommodating.
Great value for the money and very tasty dinner food. Pizzas are about $15, and great for sharing! Our group of 4 split two pizzas and had a side salad and adored the pizzas--caprese and truffle. We also ate our fill in truffle fries, which were maybe a little less truffled than I would have liked but were absolutely delightful.
Stopped by with few friends for a quick drink. The bar tender was attentive and friendly. Decor is interesting and a little different. Prices are ok as well as the crowd. Will definitely stop by again.
Super overpriced drinks…$20 for a single green tea shot and tip is automatically included. Bartender yelled at my friend and was super rude when we questioned the price and other kids at the bar agreed it was crazy
Bottomless brunch was great. Crafts on the table, refilled quick. Food was good, nothing crazy.
Horrific experience at the door. I feel sick thinking about this.
Great brunch spot! Music on point, great food! Our server Adam was great! DEF will be returning!!
This place is amazing!!!! Great food and the ambience is amazing. Adam is the best
Incredible loud and busy during boozy brunch hours. The service is not great and the waiter kept trying to take our food away when it was not done. Good value though.
Really cosy place with a great atmosphere. Good service and the gluten free pasta was pretty good! Would definitely check out if you are in the Neighborhood!
We love ADAM, give adam a raise. adam saved all of my kids from a burning building once
Had a big party of girls here for brunch. Was not impressed — very basic Italian food, nothing special. Would not come here again.
Friendly customer service. Had pizza and cocktails during happy hour. The hanging glasses in the bar give a nice aesthetic
Just went here for my anniversary. Amazing place. Party in the front, dim and intimate in the back. Food was delicious and cocktails are weird but yummy. Truffle fries are to die for.
Pretty good happy hour. Highly recommended the drinks and pizza.
First off the wings here!!!! I think was the best Ive had in a while and was better then the rest of the meals lol. Not that the other food was bad but damnn didnt hit the spot the same. Trust me 3 of us guys were eyeing the last piece like an old western cowboy shoot off
Amazing mimosas. The food is awesome. Our favorite brunch location without doubt.
The staff was so accommodating and nice, they really went above and beyond, and the service was quick. The food was great, the table shared appetizers, pizzas and pastas and dessert and everything was delicious.
Bartender was kind of rude on multiple occasions. But the food is a lovely dining experience. Love the entertainment downstairs too! Great music and vibes always.
I have been to this place several times, and each time I am impressed with the good time I have.Waitresses and very nice. Ours made a typo when she charged my card for an amount that was higher and she fixed it right away. I had drinks, not food this last time.
Great food+atmoshpere, our server Adam was fantastic
Definitely the place to go if you want a bathroom attendant screaming at you for tips, a $23 jack and coke, and 75% 19 year old college guys on a friday nightI literally heard the bathroom attendant threaten a woman “I better not see you outside” cause she wouldn’t leave a tip
Incredible food and gorgeous decor. Great vibe. Pro tip: get family style bottomless if you can eat. You wont regret it.
NYC Italian restaurant and night club ( at late hours)We celebrated a birthdayPros:AmbienceDecorFoodDrinksCons:Customer ServiceThe waiter. His facial expressions and lack of smile. His responses expressed annoyance.Very weird/unusual to see this personality on a waiter, we felt like we were bothering him while placing the order.
Great deal for bottomless brunch ($27). Really good choices that are both breakfasty and lunchy, and all very well prepared. Service and ambiance both top notch as well.
