If you dont want to be discriminated against as a person of color I highly suggest staying away from this place. I went in there with my service dog and was told by staff and management that it was fine as long as he was not barking, which he wasnt. Once I was seated and ready to order the owner decided to come up and call me out Infront of everyone and said I needed to leave with my dog and if I could not provide a card for my service animal, which is illegal in NYC to ask as a business owner. This incident however, is not the first time I was met with hostility by staff and management at Grafton. So please be cautious if you are a person of color or a dog owner when going there.
What a nice welcome to NYC. I walked east village for an hour looking for an approachable bar for a solo female not trying to be bothered, and this one sold me on the atmosphere. So, I found the one seat left at the bar and drank some beer while everyone cheered on the Bills. Turns out, the bartenders are incredibly nice and ended up giving me a beer on the house. Also has a very clean bathroom lol. Ill be returning for sure.
I had the most inappropriate interaction with the host on Saturday afternoon.I was with my boyfriend and my service dog about to meet some friends on the back garden and the hostels repeatedly told me that my dog was not allowed.I told her he was a service dog but that wasn’t not enough so she pulled a document and held the line to ask me what disability i had from the list of the ones approved form the NyC department of health. After i explained what was my disability i had to show my dog documentation and finally was granted access. The beer was great but the service terrible.
Best bar food in the east village and the service is absolutely amazing!! if you haven’t been you must try it!!! especially if you’re a sports lover ! it feels like you’re actually at the game !
All I can say is, do not get The Bartender’s Choice. It’s listed under “beer and shot specials” and the guy pours three shots. I tell him isn’t it a beer and a shot and show him the menu, he says well it’s my choice so it’s just a shot.Don’t come here, maybe he’s technically correct and it’s funny in theory, but the other options on the same menu were beer and a shot, he was an asshole about it so I certainly won’t be back. Thanks for the shitty pour of absolut for $7 each.
Really attentive service, very cool place. Great to watch sport
What a sports bar should be, the staff are on it as well. The food is surprisingly good, was expecting the usual bar adjacent food, but it’s good separate from the bar!
Always a great ambiance during games & on holidays season as well.
Good atmosphere busy on weekend don’t complain about service
Visited to watch the Womens World Cup Finals. Had food and drinks and a great time watching the game. The place was packed of course, yet the staff was friendly and accommodating. Busy as hell, but kept the drinks and food coming. Great place to watch an event!
Excellent ambiance, service, and food. The staff are especially wonderful and treat you like family. It can get pretty busy for certain sporting events, especially college football, but even then, everyone is very accommodating to requests. Reservations help, the owner/managers will get back to you promptly and make sure you are pleased. They have one of the best burgers in the neighborhood, and their avocado toast for brunch is uniquely delicious.
Wings 10Fries 10Beer 10Irish coffee 10Service 10Would definitely come back!
A great bar with inside and outside seating. Plenty of TV screens and the flow of music was great. Their chicken sandwich with the those large steak fries definitely hit the spot. The service was great (thanks Ally). Definitely a good spot to hang out for sure. I had a great time.
Great bar! 10/10 would recommend! The bartenders and waitstaff are the nicest and I highly recommend the back patio when the weather is nice! Also the chicken Caesar wrap is gas
Amber was an awesome bartender while the food and beer was excellent.
I went here with my sister and we sat by the bar. It was happy hour so got good deals on drinks and food. The shots were good. Our bartender was very friendly and quiet attentive considering the rush hour. The place has some good collection of beers and they made good Bloody Mary cocktail for my sister as well.
This is a very inconsiderate establishment which creates an unconconcilable amount of noise from its patrons
Lovely pub in the east village. Really good burgers and fries, at a reasonable price (for Manhattan.). The beer selection is good, the staff were and patrons were very friendly, and the ambiance was pleasant. We went on a Thursday night, and it wasnt too crowded.
Cant express my love for this place enough. The service is amazing, the bartenders, waitstaff, busboys and kitchen staff are incredibly friendly, courteous, professional (and funny). You can tell a lot about a bar by how they treat their staff, and how the staff treats their customers. This place is run with a lot of love.Add great food (try the Irish breakfast), a wide beer selection, specialty cocktails, and a back garden with ivy covered walls, and you have the perfect East Village bar. Easily 5 stars.
We came down to watch the game and were welcomed and had a great morning. We did not have any food but what we saw looked good, the beer was delicious and the service excellent though. A great place to visit if you want an LFC game while in New York.
Great place the watch Premier League in NYC.
Dishonest & not POC friendly -- white bartender with the dad hat & flannel had an incredibly condescending attitude and purposely overcharged us.My friend and I sat at the bar while it was only half-full, but he served three parties that came after us (all white) before we could get his attention (he was side-eyeing us the entire time). He was purposely difficult when we were telling him the names of our orders, and pretended not to understand us ordering shots. We ordered 2 drinks (The Village Tart & The Rich Man are $14 each) + 1 tequila shot, and he charged us $73 ...girl be for real. We were sober during all of this, and have a photo of the machine to prove it. Absolute garbage excuse of a sports pub in the EV.I literally never leave Google reviews but the way he treated my friend just didnt sit right with me. Lame vibes and lame crowd 😍 🙌
Pleasantly surprised. The food is a bit pricey, but I suppose in Harvard square it’s what’s expected in an upper middle class neighborhood.I was pleasantly surprised with each meal. Drinks were nice too. Great time and menu.
Nice beer selection with earnest and hard-working staff. Didnt have the food, but it looked and smelled wonderful. The place is well-maintained and straddles that fine line between upscale and pub. A great change of pace.
The Grafton has been the shining light for football (soccer) fans through COVID. They have the best setup of any bar, the staff are so good and work as hard as any place Ive been and the pulled pork tacos are to die for. Such a great place all round.
Good pint of Guinness and friendly bar tenders.
OK bar food, great drinks, and excellent service! Gets a little musty inside with the smell of dude sweat, but they have an outdoor seating area that filters out most of the smell and sounds from inside
Always here for Liverpool matches! Gary the morning/early afternoon bartender is great. If youre an English Premier League fan, def come here, but especially if you are a Liverpool supporter. Irish breakfast is great, and solid Bloody Marys.
Was there in the afternoon, only around 3 other customers. Bought a pint of German beer - $9!
All around solid place to watch sports. The bartender David provided incredible service. Certainly plan on being back.
Great set up for outside dining with tvs to have great outside sports bar feel in a tranquil LOcation. Good drinks and Tex Mex food. Perfect US Open watching.
One of the best pubs to watch footy in NYC. Great food and atmosphere. As simple as that.
This place is great for big groups, it is very laid back and simple, you can get a long table and share a drink with a bunch of friends, irish style. They also have good sparkling wine, whiskeys and the service is fast
Fish tacos are sooo good! Their other bites are yummy as we. Beers are cheap for happy hour and they give teachers happy hour all day everyday!!
Nice bar. Not busy at all but great staff and very good prices. The food and drinks were delicious and they have bar games that you can grab from next to the bar like jenga, etc.
Best chicken caesar salad I’ve ever had. Great soccer bar.
Sports 7 tv s all games staff is great especially Eric bartender works sat threw wed 8/4am slow on Sundays shane great also Andrew is new and C very nice and welcolm.
Wish the beer selection was better, but bartender was nice, rode the Toronto/Golden State fence aptly enough to earn both sides tips. Well played
Top 5 worst service in the city.
Nice bar to watch sports in. Happy hour is fine, but food is a little pricey
A bit too loud for a normal conversation but the bar has plenty of TVs for sports and great waffle fries.
Fantastic bar for any football or Rugby fans. Great draft beers and the breakfasts are really worth a try.
Cool atmosphere reasonable prices. Scott is The bartender on Thursdays and Fridays. Great guy.
Great place to watch a game. Great burgers and lots of different beers on tap. Board games too!
Local, friendly, one of the best Guinness pints in East Village. Premiership, Six Nations, Leinster Rugby. Family friendly. Weekends only but best Irish breakfast outside of Queens.
Classic pub. Has board games which is nice. Can be quiet even on a Saturday.
Are you a college student eager to jam out to Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift at the top of your lungs on a Saturday night in the company of friends and strangers and order a minimum of two drinks? Then this is the bar for you. Honestly, solid space, if a little cramped, but the music skews too loud to the point that neither friends nor the bartender could understand a single word being exchanged. The staff was busy and not particularly kind about it; though, to their credit they are serving as a secondary location for the drunken university students that haunt the booths.
Great place, staked out the outdoor area for my girlfriends birthday, and had a lot of fun.
This bar was clean and the bartender was friendly. It wasnt very busy when we were there, but it was a good break from some of the busier bars.
Good service and food but a loud sports crowd (if you are into that, probably easily one star higher; Im not)
Dont go for the food, but theres a reasonable selection on tap, board games and nice outdoor seating.
Went on Wednesday, place was not full, We had real good bar burgers cooked perfectly with great crispy fries. Buffalo cauliflower was tasty. Sports on TV, friendly bartender and cold beer rounded out a nice time.
Friendly and good service. Love when they put audio on for games.
Very comfortable restaurant. Beer garden was fun, and the burger I had was delicious
A good place to watch sport.Their Irish coffee is one of the best in the city
Nice bar if you go on a Tuesday to Thursday when is not to crowded..
Solid spot, nice backyard patio space with a good beer selection and delicious fries!
Good beer selection. Kind of an upscale sports bar.
Cool vibes, apparently known for showing soccer(football) matches
Its a fun sports bar, and the food is pretty good.
They play the sports. Great at accommodating the rugby that we wanted to watch. staff were fantastic. good vibe all round
Sports bar. Has games. Great happy hour. Friendly staff.
Went here to watch the rugby World Cup. I was a little unpleasantly surprised that there was a $15 card minimum when I just wanted one pint. The seating area in the back (the only two TVs where the game was shown) was also liable to a ton of foot traffic and maybe once a minute a worker would have to bump into me to walk through. I know it’s NY and its small and cramped but honestly would give this place a miss
Good selection nice classic pub
Delicious food!! Excelente service! definitely Id recommend it
Great place with friendly service and decent prices to get a drink.
The Grafton in NY is a hidden gem with an amazing vibe and incredible drinks! The cozy and chic atmosphere draws you in, and the bartenders create masterful cocktails that are bursting with flavor and creativity. The attention to detail and impeccable service make it a must-visit spot for any cocktail enthusiast. Cant wait to return for another unforgettable experience!
Delicious bar food and drinks in a fun little pub atmosphere!
Staff are pleasant. You can bring outside food in and they have games.
You know what you’re getting here, a five star pub experience.
Looking for a bar showing the Joshua fight, they had it on 5 TVs. Boxing.
Bartender Monday night was a good guy, nice spot to watch MNF
Good service, dope that they have tv by the seat for sports
Pilsner Urquell on tap. Gotta ask for a lot of foam for it to be properly poured.
Great low key spot to post up with TVs simple burgers and drinks
Go-to sports bar in the EV. Can get crowded on Game day but the vibes are great.
Great place to catch a game if you can get a table. Burger was okay, fried chicken sandwich was good
Love this place, great place to grab a beer and watch some sports with the fellas
Cool bar to drink and mingle (the mingling part eludes most NYC bars because of loud music or over crowding.
Great place to watch a football match. Good pub food, nice atmosphere and excellent service. Outdoor dining available with TVs in a sheltered area across the sidewalk too.
Great food, nice staff, lots of space.
We watched the Ireland match here. Cant speak highly enough about the staff. Particularly the girl running front of house. Ill be back
Good beer selection and great apps. Outdoor patio in the back is perfect for a group.
Great string drinks and their chicken is amazing.
Decent spot to catch a game. Brunch spot. A bit fratty.
Great place to have a pint & relax with the locals.
Great place to catch football with a chill crowd.
Delicious food and attentive staff. Will come back for sure! The aioli dipping sauce with their fries is the bomb!
Awesome bar. Scott is the best bartender ever.
Friendly service and good beer i had the Pilsner. Only stayed for a couple of beers. Would return
Great soccer bar great sports bar awesome food
Great spot to watch Premier League football.
Cool open space. Its nice and chill. The service was great.
Greatest pub in Manhattan! Great atmosphere and great staff! Shane is one of the best bartenders and always has time for a chat. We came here from Hamilton, Ontario and were welcomed with open arms. We had been looking around and found The Grafton on a simple internet search. Best decision ever!
Great bar to have a chill drink with a friend or catch a game
I want to make sure I make this point clearly. All of the food at the Grafton is absolutely incredible. The service is friendly. This place is amazing.BUT…I want to make sure everyone is aware… this place has PERFECTED the french fry. Their french fries are everything a french fry should be. To call them amazing, spectacular, incredible etc… it doesnt do it justice. They legitimately PERFECTED the fry. There are no improvements to be made. I dont understand how they did it. And not only that, but there is consistency with each and every french fry. Every single french fry was just as good as the last.If you go here, get fries. Youre doing yourself a disservice by not getting any. This place also has the @nutfreeinnyc stamp of approval!
This is the 2nd time I came in to watch football and I’ve ordered a burger on both occasions. Both times my stomach got so upset there that I had to sit in the bathroom throughout the entire game and go back and forth between the mens and womens restrooms(single use bathrooms) because it was so bad. Then the fun part is the walk home with clenched buttcheeks cause I’m about to s**t my pants. Please look into how the burger is cooked. Otherwise the place is nice. I hate to have to write a review like this.
Is a Really Great and Good Bar to have a Nice Cold Beer and Relax your Mind, also they can Prepare you Super Different Cocktails at your Order Request. At Night they have a Cool atmosphere!!!!!
5 stars because you get a tough of nails bartender in their 20s but can talk like they have seen things. Classic wooden bartop, smells of a American Irish pub, and great bar fare. Ticked the boxes.
Great little place. Just needed to kill a little time and have a pint. Did both, Id stop in again.
Great street side and outdoor setup with TVs.
Just stopped in for a few drinks with friends. The music was great. Not overly crowded and the bartender was very nice.
Great happy hour! $5 house beer, $5 wines, $2 off share plates from 5pm-7pm, All the pub grub we had was excellent! Bartender Gary was lovely also. Great evening!
Great bartender and good atmosphere!
An upscale dive bar in East village. Great bartender. Great crowd.
Great staff and atmosphere, recommended
*sigh* Went here once, had a good time. Second time? Well. Saturday evening, sitting at a table watching some basketball. The bouncer decides to move in from outdoors but keeps the door open. After about an hour I ask, does the door have to be open? He says yes, because body heat (though the bar isnt really all that crowded). I say, but its cold where Im sitting literally next to the door (Im wearing my heavy winter jacket inside at this point). He says, its not that cold. So ok, paying customer has to wear a Canada Goose in this bar, sounds reasonable. Not to mention the 18% automatic gratuity on a table of three people...what the hell.
Irish sports bar. Watched the game with some friends. Fine bar, fairly priced. Some of the glasses we got were dirty and the bathroom was not in great shape. Ill be back again.
Great happy hour prices for teachers.
Excellent burger, better the fries! The price is very good (Manhattan)
Great pints of Guinness and great for watching rugby or soccer. They play the Irish commentary for Ireland games too which is perfect. The Irish breakfast is really good too.
Great food great staff behavior every thing is gorgeous
Lively Irish pub. Gets pretty loose on weekends. TV blaring sports. Patrons shout and slosh back pints. Good fun for a very relaxed, boozy experience.
Loud for me but thats a sports bar for ya. Great seating in back and cool outdoor patio during the warmer months. 4 stars purely because the bathrooms were a little extra grimy.
Nice sports pub. And Manchester United even won, can it get any better.
Women/poc/queer individuals be wary: Me and my two friends went here last night and our waiter (man bun around 10-11pm) was weirdly at best condescending, and at worst hostile to us. He repeated back questions we asked in a condescending manner, for example “Does the burger come with anything?” “Hmm let me think, what could a burger come with. It comes with fries” which he did for all our orders. Maybe we should have guessed because it was a sports bar filled with mostly (white seemingly straight) men that someone would have an issue but this is NYC and pride month haha. My group was very uncomfortable the whole night and was unsure what we did to provoke the waiter other than wanting to eat here. Not sure if it’s because of our gender/race/orientation although it could be, or a combination of all three. I really hope that’s not the case but who knows.
With pictures of Grafton st on the wall it reminds me of home. Guinness is delicious here.Great atmosphere and drinks. Very welcoming.
Great spot to watch sport with some really tasty food and great service.
Cool place for a beer, and soccer with VOLUME! clap clap clap
Good place to catch a game or a ufc fight
Best staff you can find. Wonderful back yard and great drink selections. Bar food is underrated, too.
Excellent pub food and drinks! Wonderful service. A neighborhood favorite.
I liked this place. The fries were tasty. They have a good selection of scotch and beers.
UPDATE:It looks like outdoor dining is coming to the Grafton!!I have to say that this was one of the first businesses to close down in the area—before it was even required—out of societal responsibility. This behavior was admirable to say the least. This spot will always have my business not just for the reasons below (prior reviews) but also for the reasons listed above. They forfeited potential profits for public safety before even required. Read that sentence again and compare it to other businesses throughout the city. Can’t say that for most.Grafton, you are truly one of a kind!SO after coming here for the entire NFL season, I thought it was time to update my review. This spot is AMAZING. Always a good time. The bartenders are superb and engaging as well, especially David. And I’m not just saying that because we share the best name. One time, a patron wanted to watch a sport game that was not on—and couldn’t be on due to demand for other games—so he let them watch it from his phone! I feel as though these random acts of kindness are hard to come by in nyc and speaks volumes. Bartenders Paul and Amber are great too.Anyway, check this place out. My favorite spot!Old review below:Your average sports bar! But like really above average haha. Clean, friendly staff and bartenders, a plethora of tv’s with all games your heart can desire, and decent amount of seating. It’s never too full if that makes sense. Go here often for football games. Would definitely recommend checking it out. Food is great! Everything is well priced too
Fine pub with a backyard patio. Laid back Be relaxing for a Saturday or Sunday hang with friends.
Nice outdoor space. Fun place to watch some rugby. Above average bar food.
Normal beer price from 5$ and lots of varieties. Went there for watching premier leagues football match. nice crowd good service 6-8 tvs. It is a big space with lots of sitting areas. Giving 4 stars as crowd was not as passionate about football as 11th street bar.
10/10 to the service staff behavior is very excellent
Happy hour = $5 beers
Clean and casual feel inside with a nice open beer garden out the back. Good for English Premier League soccer with plenty of tvs (none in the beer garden though).
I had such a lovely experience at The Grafton. Shane was absolutely one of the most hospitable bartenders Ive ever encountered in NYC. 5 Stars!
Superb place to watch soccer! Love their craft beer selection.
Good prices and the game you want to watch is always on, no matter the sport. Good spot to grab some beers.
Nice place. Drinks are at a decent price level. Gets a bit hot in the summer.
Great place for an afternoon drink🍸 🧉
Good bar to watch Irish sports games in East Village
Nachos were good, easy TV viewing from all around bar, pleasant staff, with 20s - 30s crowd.

Very pleasant outside dining experience.
Lots of fun spacious bar
Great sports bar, food is more than decent.
A pretty good bar with sports and bar food.
Tasty food, friendly service (despite seeming a little overworked), and a cozy patio in the back.
The meals are awesome i really enjoy the service
The backyard is a nice option for groups up to 10 people.
Good food. Cool vibe
Good spot to watch the football
Fun place, has a bunch of board games like boggle and connect 4 if youre bored.

Theyve got beer and theyve got some food but when the play starts filling up it is an echo chamber and you cant hear the person next to you.

The ancient and legendary bar Lunasa, in the East Village.... Old punk neighborhood of the 80s that saw the great Ramones on its streets.... And that I intend to review.I want a Grafton burguer that tastes like glory. Sensational place and friendly service. 😍
Good beer, sports on TV, nice atmosphere
Great pub to start the night, groups formed by pubcraw, a website that organizes club tours... its really worth doing, especially if youre just in NYC!
Only snacks for food.
Good bar with table service. Tortillas with chilly I recommend.
Its a good place to de-stress during the day and at night ok
Nice place
