Fantastic food, service and atmosphere at a reasonable price for NYC. A real Irish ☘️Pub.
Great irish pub, had a Smithwick’s and a Chicken Pot Pie - best pot pie I’ve ever had! Would come back here again, good vibes for an after work drink or bite to eat.
Top staff. Was visiting NYC for the weekend and left my credit card behind. Drove by the next morning on our way home and luckily caught the manager locking up on his way out as the bar wasnt set to open for 3 hours. He graciously went back in and found my credit card, saving me the hassle of cancelling the card and changing all of my auto payments with it. Great corned beef reubens and nicely poured Guinness drafts too.
Lovely place. We just had drinks while visiting from Madison but enjoyed terrific service with a friend Gary F. (a regular). Fresh Guiness. Definitely recommend!
An amazing hidden gem right by Times Square! The food is great and the staff are spectacular!! Everyone behind the bar is awesome and all of them are great to chat to. Would come back any time I am in NYC to go grab a bite and a pint!
Shabby OHaras!Food was ok. Service was bad. The waiter that i even dont know the name because she never introduce herself was not friend at all lol. She took awhile to bring menus. Got our order wrong and brought a class of wine with dirty rim, it had lipstick mark. the lipstick marks are not her fault but when we showed her and asked to return that glass of wine She looked like she got annoyed with us about it. Not even a sorry or be right back. It looks like she was giving an attitude
Loved the food and proper GuinnessFish and chips were awesomeSpecial spicy lamb burger solidLoved the serviceHowever the jukebox music wasnt fitting with a mix of hip-hop and hair metal ballads.Def would recommend!
Been coming here for years. Looking for a good ol fashion pub in the fashion district with decent prices, come down to Gabby and grab a pint.
Was passing by and stopped in for a bite to eat. Doesnt look like much from the outside, but once inside, it really is a gem of an Irish pub with some awesome food.
Bartender Andy is amazing! Make sure to ask for him. Attentive, funny and typical down to earth Irish gentleman. We will be back!
We came to your bar and sat down at the bar, there was no music playing in the establishment, we went up to the machine and ordered music for money, after which the bartender immediately turned the music down, when asked why you turned it down, he rudely replied I’ll give you your money back and you won’t listen to anything!!! the service is disgusting, probably the bartender is already tired and it’s time to replace him with younger staff
Just amazingly friendly service and the best food. I just love this place. Cant wait to get back in this cozy restaurant.
Perfect pint of Guinness, great burger and wonderful staff. I’ll be back for sure!
Ideally located at the bottom end of Broadway, this haven of sanity and calm away from the madness of times square is almost too good to be true.Affable and efficient bar staff serving great drinks at a pretty reasonable price.Definitely one to search out when visiting mid town Manhatten.
Bartender wouldn’t let me use the restroom without ordering something or tipping him. Avoiding this place for lack of common decency.
This place isn’t bad but felt mid. The burger was in my opinion underwhelming. Also, it was a Sunday so I expect it to be slow but being next to Stout I can see the appeal of going there instead. If you’re looking for just a drink and Irish flavor then it’s your place. I just been to enough Pubs that it felt mediocre.
Great value for money, very tasty food. Portions are huge but so delicious. Would recommend!!!
Typical Irish pub with typical Irish pub food. Got a table quick on a Saturday night which was plus. Service was good. Excellent stop for a moderate priced quick stop in midtown.
Waited to get served when it was empty, which is fine because I was in no rush.. But then a guy walked up about 5min after I arrived, and he was greeted and served immediately. Again, empty bar. So I guess men are just more important customers.
Chicken pot pie and Shepherds pie are great. Bartenders and really cool. Good spot for lunch or after work to take a load off
Was only here for a quick beer, they closed at midnight on a Friday. Was cold and windy, but not their fault. Wild definitely return when warmer. Night curt views were pretty cool. Definitely recommend!!
Not a very good place. Its an Irish style pub, but the cleanliness isnt the best, and the bathrooms are run down. The prices are fair, but the food isnt very good. I ordered a French Onion soup, and instead of bread they put croutons inside. Additionally, the soup was salty, and I thought I felt something like leaves in the soup. As a bar I think the place is solid, but unless the staff improve the quality of the food, and there is some better upkeep I cant recommend this place.
It’s your basic pub. If you’re just popping in for some drinks, no problem. The food (that I had) was just alright (cod & chips). My friend loves their French onion soup however. Bartenders seem nice.Bathroom’s downstairs and is a bit dingy. Again, very basic place for blowing off some afterwork steam with a cold drink.
Awesome experience. Friendly service. Neat atmosphere. Cold beer and the food was very good. Would def recommend.
Great place to feel welcomed like you have been there before. Sunny the bartender is a gem of a person.
Wanted a couple of drinks while gazing and shopping around Times Square. It was a relatively quiet (4 people able to hold conversation without shouting) and the service and drinks were very good! Watched Coco win US Open!
Good vibes, good beer, Ill def be back!
Yeah, yeah hello. So your employees can be a little bit aggressive when it comes to payment. Result would have been the same with more sympathy. Not sure to be back. It not really my type. But btw the steack was good. Good beer. Bro I just wanted another beer c’mon
The food was okay, the beer was good, but we had a very bad experience with one of the waiters. My friends are regulars at this pub and I was visiting them for a week.As a European, contactless payment has some limitations (financial rules are not the same). I asked the guy to let me do my pin because the payment was rejected and he got angry, spoke unkindly to me and my friends and almost got violent. They seem to have forgotten about customer service in this pub.
The server was really friendly and responsive. The atmosphere is pretty good. Prices are reasonable. The wine was either old or really cheap. At $9 a glass in NYC... maybe some vinegar flavor is to be expected.
Hidden gem in NYC. Great food at excellent prices with a cozy atmosphere. Portions are big!
Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere. Cool little pub to grab drinks and dinner. The bangers and mash were amazing.
An amazing bar! I didn’t get any food so Icant speak to that, but the drinks we got were unbelievably cheap and our server was an awesome dude. Service was outstanding. The bar also has a very cool vibe. A lot of the bars in this part of the city are tourist traps with overpriced drinks and rude employees, but this place was not like that at all. Definitely stop in.
What a hidden gem in Midtown Manhattan. Food is great and priced below the average for New York. Tons of atmosphere and extremely helpful staff. You wont be disappointed.
Good Irish bar in Manhattan
I do not often write reviews. That being said, I had such a good experience here that I feel the need to do so. The chicken pot pie was the best I ever had and the staff was kind and pleasant to talk to (especially Jordan). We will be making this a regular stop when visiting the city.
Great place for a low key dinner or date night. The drinks are amazing, it’s busy without being too loud to talk. Food was fantastic and so was the wait staff
Loved everything about this hidden gem! Terrific food and atmosphere, great prices for midtown and excellent service from the staff. Definitely will be back when in Manhattan. Great authentic Irish pub.
The food is always amazing, great drink selection, and reasonable prices. Always confused why people bother going to the other “Irish pubs” around Times Square.
Great place for a pint of Guinness. Food was good but not great. Massively over cooked wings. Lovely staff. Open late.
Great food. Big selections on the menu with daily specials. Big portions. Very personable bartenders. Everyone that works there is from Ireland. Nice layed back atmosphere. Cool decorations on the walls. You cant go wrong
The food and service are great. But concern about Covid is absent. Not a single server, bartender, or manager had a mask on, and our server, when he asked for our proof of vaccination (required by NYC) added even if its fake. So much for trust, and our comfort level visiting in NYC went down the tubes.
Love this place. Recently visited the place for the second time. First time was during halloween last year with my wife and two friends. The was very well decorated and we had a nice time. Recently visited the place with two of my colleagues. This place is good for couples as well as a for a group. Nice ambiance, very nice service. They have some vegetarian options which is a blessing for us.
Myself and two others went into Gabby O’Haras for a bit of food. I ordered the shrimp in a basket and my god it was lovely. The atmosphere was good. It felt like I was home in Ireland. The waitresses were very friendly. I will definitely be eating out of here again before I go home.
Authentic Irish Pub . Shepherd pie was Fantastic. Mark the bartender was right on spot . Service was exceptional ...Never had to wait for a drink and great conversation. Will definitely be coming back here!
Great bartender, very attentive!
Stumbled into Gabby OHaras with a party of 11 and was pleasantly surprised. Jordan (the bartender) was a gracious host who remembered everyones order! After not finding a drink which I liked, we decided to create a new one 🍹Smirnoff Raspberry, Gordons Pink Gin, Peach Schnapps and soda (served with cherries of course 🍒) We called it the Jordan On Ice. The jukebox adds atmosphere and we danced for most of the evening. Ordered the Chicken Fingers and chips which were delocious. We will definitely be back.
My friend and I came in, there were maybe five tables in and it was not busy. So we took a table and sat down. The waiter brought menus and eventually our drinks. When he returned to ask what we would like to eat, we hadnt found anything we immediately wanted and said we might just have drinks for now. He then berated us in front of the other patrons for taking a table for just drinks and insisted we sit at the bar instead. Which we would have done had we known. He just didnt have to yell at us. Then he manually calculated the bill and stood there until we produced the money to pay for our drinks. He then repeated that we had to go to the bar. Obviously we didnt stay,we ended up at Gleasons Tavern which was lovely and welcoming and even let us sit in a booth. We ordered drinks and food, turns out when treated kindly we were hungry.
Went in here during macys parade and wow thank god we did the food was amazing.lovely helpful staff would recommend this place to anyone going to ny wow so far 18871 views
Bring back the sweet potato tots!!! Been going to this bar for years. Strong drinks, usually always room. Good service.
The food was mediocre at best; and the service was bad. The food and beer are also both overpriced. The server made a rude remark when I gave a 14% tip (which I understand isnt good, but our experience was poor and overpriced).
Cocktail was watered down and the burger was dry.
Friendly bartender, yummy pub food, relaxed vibes.
I ordered a salad (cant remember the name but it was something with Tex-Mex flavors) and wings. Wow...it was really good. I didnt expect the food to be that good because this spot is more for tourists than locals.
Great Irish pub close to Bryant Park. Friendly staff with a vibrant atmosphere. Drinks were excellent and reasonably priced for NYC
A typical Irish Bar found steps away from one the busiest Tourist destinations in the world, where the drinks are strong and not overpriced. Gabbys is a favorite after work spot for my coworkers for a quick drink during happy hour.
Nice spot for drink, but not for eat.Don’t select wings, bad flavor. Onion rings are good and fries. Need to improve food
Possibly the best pub in NY... been coming here for 7 years and still love it... food is always spot on
Busy on weekday evening, not a huge selection of on tap beer, but the service is great and the experience is solid A
Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere. As a woman dining alone, the bartender even put my drink behind the bar when I went to the bathroom so I didnt have to worry. Highly recommended.
Service was okay The food was not great burnt fries over done shrimp, fish and Chip up there with some of the worst we ever had , plenty of other bars around, I give it a miss
Went in late at night. Almost had the place to ourselves. Server, who was from Dublin, was very friendly. My wife loved the stew, the fish and chips were okay but not anything special.
Nice place. Perfect if you want to grab a beer and a simple (but delicious) meal.
Absolutely lovely pub great food and lovely bar staff.🙂
Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the bar was very quiet when we visited on a Monday Afternoon but Im sure it would be good fun when busy. It is well located close to Time Square and they serve food too!
Nothing much to say. Wasnt remarkable, but wasnt bad either. Drink prices werent bad. Definitely seems marketed towards an older audience.
Awesome food, great prices, excellent service, and they serve a wicked nice pint of Guinness.
Great little authentic Irish pub. Lovely food and reasonably priced. Relaxed atmosphere and really friendly staff. Definitely recommend!
Nice Irish pub with good music. Not too crowded & noisy. Great place for a hang out after a long day. The Stout here is very fresh and smooth, highly recommended!!
Amazing food and service. We had shepherd pie and chicken pot pie. Delicious. The bartender was helpful, friendly and attentive.
I ordered a cheeseburger medium and not blackened. They got it right (very few do) and the burger was delicious and not greasy. Perfect.
Food was good.. Server was overwhelmed and non attentive. Too many people for the one bartender. Poor service. I would have had another drink if asked.
It was really nice to find a casual bar that wasnt packed for Christmas time.
Chicken pot pie was delicious! Service great, Dee is a pleasure to talk to. Great spot!!
Nice staff. Nachos were horrible. Burger was good.
After two days of airport and flight food I had a proper meal here. Liked the ambience, food and drinks. Everyone was real friendly. Great service.
Decent food with big portions. Had wings that were giant, and salad was huge. Great service and friendly bartenders.
Great pub! The woman working behind the bar was super cool and had a great accent!
Great beer, good vibes. Make sure you treat the bartenders right. Dont be weird and order a martini 😂😂
Cozy place. Disappointed in the Reuben Sandwich...pastrami sliced way too thick. Liked my Stella...and Service was good.
Nice cool pub. Just off Times Square yet quite and charming. Good prices considering its in such a highly visited neighbourhood.
Stopped in for a quick drink after a long day sightseeing. Great place for a drink.
Recommended!! Good service, food and cold beers and you can play the music of your choice 😎
Great pub! We loved the lunch specials. Beef stew and chicken burger were amazing. Highly recommend!!
My wife and I came in and slammed 3 Irish car bombs each. We loved the atmosphere and croud. Very inviting crowd
Great little place to get the trip in NYC started !! Bartender was real good people. Food was good too,
Good irish bar in mid town. Decent selection of brews, the Irish beer is excellent. Friendly staff and good food
Lovely staff.Nice pints.Irish bars should have Irish sport on tv.
Despite advertising their Irish for they do not have harp on tap nor do the bartenders know what a sausage roll is or HP sauce
Had Great Lunch , Few Irish Beers . Awesome Service , Great Prices For Great Irish Food . Very Friendly Staff.
A welcomed respite from the cold and crowded streets. Staff was pleasant and informed and even though it was a busy Saturday night, they slowed down to get things right and make us feel welcome.
Always great. Its your sure bet when it comes to a good pint of beer and good food.
Great food, great service and great drinks. Will be coming back
Best place hydrate yourself in Manhattan in the morning
Nice place. Good food, cold beerWhat more do you need. Does get crowed.
Gabby O’Hara’s Irish Bar is a cozy, welcoming spot that captures the essence of a traditional Irish pub, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Irish fare and a genuine pub atmosphere. The standout dishes here are, without a doubt, the Chicken Pot Pie and the Shepherd’s Pie, each a hearty homage to classic Irish cuisine. Anyone can pour a pint, but not every place can make Irish fare as good as this place.
Popped in to have a family meal. The meals were great and plentiful..... and obviously the drinks were spot on.Service was attentive and had no problems.Definitely go back in the future.Cheers
Jordan and the staff is awesome great chilies Nachos always cold beer great selection of taps clean and crisp
Lovely Irish pub. Beer is great. Service is fantastic. Cool history on the walls.
Wings were actually really good! We arrived right before the kitchen closed and honestly anything would have been good but it was yummy and the service stellar
Got 2 Ruben sandwiches. The pastrami was so tough it was uneatable .. served on white bread instead of rye. French fries server cold or reheated cold. Had a bad stomach all night.
A great place to hangout in the city. Good beers. Food was not great and manageable. The ambience is great.
Amazing staff and good food!
We showed up with a large group and they seemed a bit worried but took it in stride and took great care of us.The place has great vibes and will definitely be back!
If I could give the service a 0/5 stars they definitely don’t even deserve that. Took a business trip to New York with my Husband, stayed in Manhattan, walked here to get a few shots prior to our party, to start date night off . There was a terrible bartender behind the bar, profiled us right off back said “you all are ordering weird” poured us a shot then tried to ask for ID’s after shots were poured and drank lol. Was very dismissive when describing menu to us, we intended to stay there and bring ur friends but left as he definitely ruined our first experience .
Good food, large portion sizes and one of the few places Ive found that sells cider (and at an alright price)
Great place to relax and enjoy my very close friends! The food is outstanding and service too!
No Cider on tap at an Irish pub. Not much else to say.
Food was fine. Decent place to be able to just walk in and grab a bite and some drinks in midtown. Prices arent terrible. Nothing amazing but no major complaints either. Though my turkey club was def made with pre-sliced deli meat and not real turkey like you would hope. Not bad quality but not ideal.
A really good irish pub. Clean, good drinks, really good food and friendly. Might be a new go to for me in midtown.
Great food, unpretentious atmosphere, reasonable prices, chill customer base.
Loved the food and the atmosphere!
Proper irish bar.very friendly staff..lovely beef stew
A great pub with authentic British offerings. My wife had the shepherds pie (technically cottage pie because of the beef) and loved it. I ate the chicken curry, which was excellent. Our server was really good; she paid close attention to our needs without being intrusive. The pub itself has a great atmosphere that feels like an old pub in the UK with dark wood everywhere. It was not crowded and seemed to be mostly a place for locals in spite of its proximity to Times Square.
Nice pub, ok price on beer and friendly staff
Just had a couple beers. Friendly bartender and good beers
Jordan was awesome! Food was good, beer was cold ... what else can I say ...
Great food and atmosphere. Ate there before going to the Garden and back later for drinks on recent visit. Treated ourselves to some great cocktails - highly recommend
Excellent burger my so loved the quesadilla.
Theres a bartender named Jordan, hes the man to go and ask about anything. This place is great.
Finally somewhere to go where people are nice. Awesome atmosphere and beer and bartender is a hottie from Belfast.
Good selection of drinks, nice service and amazing prices for downtown.
Caroline was a treat. Very friendly. Get the Fish and chips or the philly sliders!
This was our first stop in NY and the food was great love the atmosphere
Found this place after a days walking in NYC.Great atmosphere, you could easily feel that youre back in a pub in rural southern Ireland.Staff were great and food was hearty with plenty of it - typical pub fayre but nothing wrong with that.
My favorite place.to have lunch with my brother. He loves that chicken pot pie!
Guinness was nice and staff were very nice too
Great pub with the very best chicken pot pie Ive ever had.
Great food, excellent service, and fair prices.
Great food friendly staff genuine Irish bar
Good place to go out with friends. I really enjoy the red beer
Enjoyed our meal service was excellent staff were so attentive.. Aidan is a great host
Decent food, top service
I look forward to going back here again to have the shepherds pie, it is fantastic
Decent drinks. Typical midtown prices. Food is okay.
Good solid pub food, good prices and service.
Great place and friendly staff
Excellent food. Beautiful bar.
Great spot for its neighborhood. I also like their eastern sister bar, Muldoons
Amazing foid and serviceCan be really loud
Friendly barkeeps, excellent beers. Nice quiet at 3am
Good guiness.... Although i wish they were the 20oz pours
One of the best bars in NYC! Awesome bartenders and awesome place! This spot is highly recommended if you want a good time in NYC! Also they stay open pretty late if you’re looking for late night fun! It’s owned by a man from Europe. Super nice guy!
Drinks were good, food not so much.
Traditional Irish Pub. Fish and Chips are the best in the area.
Service was decent n waitress was friendly, funny n polite
Nice bar stopped in after a show
This was a very cozy place to come to, wouldnt say it was much for the family; definetly an older audience. The food was pretty good, I ordered the Shepards pie which I didnt end up liking too much. Everyone else enjoyed their food though! The staff was amazingly sweet. The place is a little cramped, and the drinks were alright. A very nice experience none the less!
This place is good if you want just to have some beers but not so if youd like to have some food to it. Soups are average, burgers are bad even by pub standards and service is a bit messy. I dont think Im going to check any other food options, but will definitely come by for a beer.
Stopped in for a drink and Aiden was an awesome bartender! Enjoyed talking with him! Enjoyed the onion rings! Unfortunately we didn’t make it back to visit before we left but will be back next time we get back to NYC!
Perfect price-performance ratio for NYCGood atmosphere and food/drink
Great for lunch. Smooth service and great food.
Great atmosphere, very attentive staff and best chicken pot pie 🥧 ever !
Coooooooooool beers excellent service and good food
Friendly service, very good food and relaxing atmosphere. What to ask for more?
Im here on a work conference and I came here to get away. Andy at the bar was amazing and the service was 10/10!!
Great Irish Pub. Quiet place near Times Square to have a beer or hard cider. Great staff. Really good food
Great drinks and waitstaff.
We went for drinks and the barman was so lovely and welcoming. We returned the next day for food on his recommendation and we werent disappointed. Great food, great service and prices are very reasonable. Would highly recommend
Good ambiance, hamburger typic New Yorker
For being on her own she did great! Nice atmosphere and good food! Especially the fish, onion rings and sliders!
Wonderful little place! We were looking to grab a drink and find a bathroom. The place was packed and we almost walked out but the owner(i think) came to us and immediately found us a place. He was so pleasant as was our waitress. Great little place to rest and grab a drink and some food. Felt welcomed from the second we entered!
Great time !! Andy was Awesome you should be proud to have a great employee!
Nice place and fun. Good staff and music
Great Irish pub. Grab a Guinness and stay awhile.
Great place, had a great time with family there.
6 Person2 beers each1 burger each190$...Scandalous
Excellent beer list. Nice music. Cozy.
Good atmosphere. Great bartender
Happened upon this place looking for a bathroom (impossible to find near Times Square).. ended up being allowed to use the bathroom there and stayed for a few hours.. did the same thing the next night. Jordan and Liam are great.. highly recommend this spot super easy place to be in to escape the insanity that is Times Square
Just a great local Irish style pub.
Its a small place with decent food.
Great Irish pub. Excellent shepherds pie!
Cozy Irish pub midtown. Joe at the bar is grrat!!! Check this place out!
Great place to have a drink or two. Great staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Excellent Irish Pub!Friendly Attention and Delicious Food! Aperol Spritzer very Good!
Great bar - wish they had magners on tap but only bottles
Love gabby. There bangers & mash are the best. Must go
Bartender stared at his phone the whole time, tvs were either not working or small. Beer was cold and was clean inside so that was a plus.
Great bar, will visit again
Traditional Irish NYC Pub food.I love it. Do you?
Were looking for somewhere open past midnight, and this was recommended by our hotel. Perfect for what it is - Irish pub with Irish bar staff so v friendly and fun place.
The best pub in the city.
An excellent Irish pub with great food and service. Nicola and Dee are great! Shepard’s Pie is fantastic snd the chicken pot pie is the best I have ever had! Stop by if you are in the neighborhood. You won’t be disappointed !
Great food and bar staff.
Hospitable staff and reasonably priced IPA. 👍
Had a great time in Gabbys. Lovely atmosphere with nice Irish staff and customers. Nicola is a great addition to the team.
This is a find. Food and drink prices are extremely reasonable for the area. For any area. Bottled beer runs about 6 bucks. Burgers, sandwiches about 13. The vibe is classic cozy Irish pub. Perfect refuge on a freezing New York day. It gets crowded late afternoon but service doesnt suffer or slow down.
My go to place for late night drinks. Quite and nice ambience.
Great Irish atmosphere in a convenient location!
Stopped in for drinks, place was nice, great service...
Gabby O’Haras holds the reigns of a great Irish bar! The Sheppard’s pie is awesome. The drinks were great, Bartender was awesome and the rest of the staff was great! Bathrooms were clean. This place is great to start the night off on the town.
Great Smithwicks beer . Clam chowder was amazing
Excellent drinks and a warm atmosphere. The bartender was humble and efficient.
Great food. Better service!
The bartender so racist, beer expensive, and a guy touched a girl.
Nice place for a drink and a bite.
Tucked away from the bustle of the Garment District. Decent locals bar
Its a very cozy bar. The beer selection is okay. But the hardware is very nice. The food menu is good. The bartender is superb.
