Overall, I was very satisfied with our stay. The friendliness of the staff was generally excellent. However, the friendliness of the staff at the Grab n Go Breakfast needs significant improvement. The response to the issue with the noisy ventilation system was fantastic. Within a few minutes, even at 10:00 PM, a technician arrived, although he couldnt fix it.On the downside, I was informed that a subsequent room change was not possible, which turned out to be incorrect upon checkout. The price reduction in the form of waived breakfast costs ($150) was a pleasant response to the inconvenience.Another negative point is that when I booked in April (8 months in advance), I requested a room as high up as possible. This request was not fulfilled, even though it turned out that such rooms were available (same price category).Overall, the service, facilities, and stay were very enjoyable. Regarding other reviews: The cleanliness was fantastic. A wear and tear on the carpet is normal and as long it is still in good condition and without damage everything is fine to me.

Perfect location overlooking Central Park and a block from Fifth Ave and excellent shopping. Also walking distance to several museums. We had a beautiful view of the park from a very spacious room.Restaurants and room service meals were excellent. Check-in was smooth and we had our room by 10:45 am!All the staff members we interacted with were kind, courteous and helpful. We will return!

I was disappointed with my stay at Park Lane. First of all, I think the photos on the website make this place look MUCH better than it is. Its still a nice hotel, but it isnt anything special. You are paying for the location. When we first arrived, my mom and I had to wait for our room because it wasnt ready yet. Even after the 4pm check-in time, the room wasnt ready. I had to go complain. I booked through AMEX Travel which will provide early check-in and late check-out if its available, but I would not expect either at this hotel. The in-room dining and breakfast offered at Darling is just okay for how much youre paying. I recommend not paying for either and finding a restaurant nearby. If you are on a high floor (we were on 42), expect to wait 10-15 minutes to get down to the lobby. Especially around check-out time. The elevators stop on almost every floor. They need to fix this somehow.Lastly, the mini fridge in our room didnt work. I never complained about this, because frankly, I didnt want to waste the energy.

This hotel was beautifully located across from Central Park, with quick access to all key tourist spots like Broadway/Times Square, 9/11 Memorial and more. The staff was top-notch. They went out of their way to escort my group to the rooftop breakfast so we knew exactly where to go.Very clean rooms and nice amenities! I would stay here again.

When I read the negative comments I started to second guess my hotel choice. Once we arrived the hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is beautiful. It’s located near everything. The longest wait for an elevator was under 2 every time (and our stay was during the a thanksgiving holiday). All of the restaurants were open anytime we wanted to order food. The rooms are trendy in decor. I will always stay at this hotel going forward when I visit NY. BONUS!!! We could even see the parade from our room. Thank YOU Park Lane for making our trip amazing. P.S. The bed was so comfy and even compares to my sleep number at home.

Beautiful hotel and extremely comfortable beds. For a hotel marketed as luxury I would expect crisp details. The heating unit is very old and loud that it woke me up several times (I’m a hard sleeper). The website clearly states the rooftop dining area opens at 7 am but when the door was locked staffed told me it’s actually 7:30 and the website was inaccurate.

Love the location and upgrade to 39th floor.A very enjoyable stay.Major complaint: NO COFFEE MAKER in room. 39 stories down is a long way to go to get a cup of coffee and bring it back to the room. The elevator is not express to the 39th floor! One morning, at 10:30, we were leaving for the day and went downstairs to get a cup of decaf coffee. We went to the first floor coffee shop and was told that they were already closed and preparing for lunch. They sent us to the second floor restaurant, which was closing for a transition to lunch. At the front desk, we were told to use room service. So where would room service deliver a coffee to? the first floor or the second floor or the 39th floor? That’s our complaint. No coffee at 10:30 to 1130 anywhere in that hotel unless it’s room service. The frond desk acknowledged the issue. But we had to go out for coffee.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, my wife and I; The hotel is perfectly situated, offering stunning views of central Park (if you were lucky and got the rooms facing the park :)). Its just a couple of steps from 5th Avenue and just 10 minutes walk to times square. the room I stayed in was spacious, elegantly decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I could ask for.

Disappointing Experience - Some Positives, But Not Worth the 5-Star RatingOur stay at the Park Lane Hotel in NYC was a mixed experience, with some highlights but ultimately a lot of disappointment. We stayed in the panoramic suite, and I have to say, the view was absolutely stunning. Waking up to the New York Central Park was a treat, and it’s one of the few things that made our stay more enjoyable. However, we encountered several issues that overshadowed the positives. The most alarming was when my 18-month-old daughter found a piece of glass on the floor in our room. This could have seriously hurt her, and we were shocked by the lack of attention to detail in housekeeping. We also had ongoing problems with the air conditioning, with our room stuck at an uncomfortable 24°C(75.2F) After complaining, the hotel moved us to another room, but the issue remained, and they only added a fan. It would have been much simpler to just bring the fan to our original room rather than making us move rooms. The service overall was disappointing for a five-star hotel. The breakfast at the rooftop restaurant was extremely overpriced at $70 per person, with very limited options of pastries that were mushy and not fresh. On top of that, the staff, especially one woman, was rude and unhelpful. That being said, the bellman and cleaning staff were a bright spot in our stay. They were always positive and welcoming, especially the cleaning ladies who greeted us with a smile every day. Their warmth was greatly appreciated during a stay that otherwise fell short of expectations. While we enjoyed some aspects of our stay, we cant recommend the Park Lane Hotel based on our experience. If youre looking for a hotel that delivers fully, you may want to consider other options.

We loved our October 2024 stay at this hotel and will be returning but one or two things I feel could be improved:1. They charge a DAILY rather than one-off refundable damage deposit. This is what booking.com said and on checking today, still says in the fine print section for Park Lane Hotel; A damage deposit of US$150 is required on arrival. Thats about £115. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. When checking in, I was asked for my card to process this payment. I was very surprised to discover the next day that around £600 had been taken on a pending basis. I was not expecting this to be charged on the basis of how many days you are staying and booking.com did not make that clear. I hold the hotel responsible for this. When I messaged them, their response was unhelpful.2. Reception staff. They need to be more friendly, warm and welcoming. We arrived close to midnight after a long journey. There was one member of staff on at the reception at the time, he did not smile or exude any warmth. After paying a good rate and travelling so long and it being so late, it would have been nice to have been made to feel more welcome. Ive seen many other similar comments by others. This part of the whole experience really does need some work. Better trained front of house staff would make a HUGE difference to the overall client experience. The things I loved:1. Our rooms - we had two city view rooms for ourselves and our teen daughters. The views were incredible. Rooms were clean and well stocked with beautiful soft towels and Jo Loves (same lady who founded Jo Malone) toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser etc. The beds are amazing - I was unbelievably comfortable in ours. Decor is well considered. I really rate the rooms.2. The cleaning staff - friendly, helpful and courteous - and always smiling. The reception staff could certainly learn from them! Please look after your cleaning staff well, Park Lane - they are fantastic.3. Doormen and bellboys - friendly and helpful.4. Location - utterly fantastic, directly opposite Central Park and located just a few paces away from The Ritz, where Home Alone 2 was filmed. Bustling NYC energy all around, great deli & supermarket and a Pret a Manger around the corner. Times Square about 25 min walk away.We never dined at the hotel so I cant comment on breakfast or the restaurant.Overall Id give the hotel 8 out of 10. It really is an absolute gem and we will definitely be returning next year (though prices have hiked significantly already compared to what we paid for our stay this year - around £2k extra for the same dates in 2025 compared to 2024 and thats including my Booking Genius discount). But Park Lane, if youre reading this, please do invest in reception staff training. If you want to turn a gem of a place into something really very memorable and special, this would make an absolutely huge difference.

My wife and I had a one night stay this weekend for a nearby wedding. The room was a nice size and clean but somewhat dated. The platform that the bed sits on should come with a warning of beware of toes. When we entered the room it was very warm and we noticed a tower fan. The thermostat was set at 66 degrees, it would not go any lower, and the room never went below an uncomfortable 74 degrees. If the air conditioning worked properly I would.have given the room 4 stars. Having time to kill, we went to the bar in the lobby for some drinks. We got 2 drinks from the bartender and sat at a table. I left the tab open and the bartender handed us off to a server. After finishing our drinks we sat for about 25 minutes without anyone coming over to us. I went back to the bartender to order another round and was told your server will be with you. After sitting another 25 or 30 minutes I went back to the bar to close our tab and mentioned the extremely poor customer service.

Not worth the effort. If youre looking to spend a large amount of money and are hoping for bear necessities of service, I would advise looking elsewhere.I have been trying to reach their staff, regarding details for my wedding room block, for 2 weeks now. I have spoken to Selena and Robert numerous times but both of them have very nicely explained to me that only Eunice can help me with my account. 4 separate times I have now been assured that Eunice will call me, only to receive no phone call or email. At this point, I am fairly positive Eunice is not a real person but an elaborate scheme to run me around in circles and not actually provide any level of service.

The worst service and experience I have ever encountered in my life. I would strongly warn anyone against using this place. After an exhausting 11-hour flight with my pregnant wife, we were denied check-in despite having fully paid for our stay. The receptionist, Sayda, and the manager, Hon, insisted on a credit card deposit and flatly refused to accept cash, even when I offered it as an alternative. They claimed their policy prohibited cash deposits, yet I reviewed the policy, and nowhere was this restriction mentioned. This was an appalling display of inflexibility and lack of compassion, especially given our circumstances. Avoid at all costs!

Our stay was extremely disappointing. The room had no functioning air conditioning, a dead orchid, and a towel left out of place, making it clear that it hadnt been properly prepared. Despite reporting the issue, the second room we were moved to had the exact same problem. My partner was so stressed that he needed medication to cope. We ended up switching hotels, which cost us $650 per night. The only positive aspect was the view, but it hardly made up for the distress and inconvenience we experienced. I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.

We recently stayed at the Park Lane, and unfortunately will not return. While the room was average, it was definitely not worth the nightly rate. The website and its pictures make this hotel seem elevated, unfortunately we disagreed. I was expecting le labo bath products as I saw pictured, but instead they offer lower quality products. The bath robes also looked very old, we preferred not to use them. The AC in our room was not working either. I see other reviewers with similar issues being provided a partial refund, and I would love to formally document this feedback and request a refund as well.I don’t recommend the breakfast. Our booking agency provided us with a complimentary breakfast (valued at $75pp). I would never imagine spending $75 for the breakfast we had. After all that, I give this place 2 stars because the best part of the Hotel is the staff working the front desk, they were very welcoming and accommodating.

We went to the Park Lane Hotel on Central Park South to a hosted Reception. There was no reader-board in the lobby,A Young lady was standing by elevators. I asked her where the party is. Don’t know. Can you find out? She made a number of calls. I could not find out she said.At the elevator was a husky guy. We asked about the party. I don’t know, go up to the roof on 42. Up we went as far as the elevator would take us. Wide corridor, no signs. Eventually we found a corridor leading to a small elevator to the roof bar. We asked a server about the party. Don’t know was the answer. . After walking around and not seeing a familiar faces we went down again changing elevators and stopped at the second floor where the restaurant and banquet rooms are located. We asked again. Don’t know was the answer. Down to the lobby. Somebody checking in said there is something going on in the patio lobby Eureka! We found the cocktail party. Glasses of white wine were passed around and tiny hamburgers on three inch high bread, just about impossible to bite into. The servers came around to refill the glasses. We are serving two different whites, which do you want? (stupid serving different wines at a walk around party!)By that time it was late and we went up to the restaurant. Romantic dark. The menu printed on blue paper in tiny font in red. We used the flashlight to read it and just ordered an appetizer to share and and some wine.Sad to see a former famous hotel so mismanaged. I remember when it was a Helmsley Hotel. Mrs. Helmsley lived there. The hotel worked!

A 15 year wedding anniversary ruined - the highlight of which was supposed to have been this hotel, perched high above Central Park. The view was great. Literally everything else was terrible. I should have known something was off with the AC when the lobby felt like a sauna during our checkin and there were ghetto floor fans throughout the lobby. I T ried not to over think it and went to our room where the thermostat read 82 degrees. Assumed it was because the room was vacant and will cool down. Here’s the second clue. Another ghetto floor fan in the room. Tried to relax as to not ruin our anniversary and hit the luxury stores on 57. Came back and the room was still 80 degrees. Went down, they acted like it was an isolated incident and gave us another room. Second room, 79 degrees. Another ghetto floor fan. Went back down. Room change #3. 78 degrees. Two more ghetto fans. Went next door to the ritz. No park view rooms available. Stayed out the whole day to avoid that room. Went back at 11:30 pm for the night. Still hot as Ef and couldn’t sleep all night. We couldn’t tolerate another night and checked out. We usually want a late check out. In this case we couldn’t wait to get out. Didn’t even bother checking out the roof top breakfast as to avoid further disappointment. I really want to say something good but honestly can’t. The rooms are very dated. The room, carpet, robes, bed, furniture, all of it is dated, worn and well past its life. The tv doesn’t have apps so you have to watch whatever is on cable. Theres a tv guide channel that scrolls like it’s still 1996. It’s not worth the $1000+ nightly rate for the park view rooms. Looking back the photos they post are doctored to make it look luxurious and modern. If the hotel can take anything away from this review, it’s don’t lie to your guests. Your credibility is shot and people aren’t stupid.

How disappointing to see it has declined so much in such a short time. We had a complimentary upgrade but were told on arrival there were actually none available. The only thing the room really had was a great view. They previously used all Le Labo products and now have some cheap bath products tacked to the walls. These were all empty, I had to call to have them replaced so we could shower. We were given late check out only to return from a morning out and find our keys shut off. Booked here because of the location and view. Had a room with Central Park view, unfortunately only stayed in it for about 2 hours. The heat in the lobby should have been the first clue. Then the lack of operating elevators - only 1 of 6 fully functional in the lobby. When we entered our room, it was over 80 degrees with the AC set on 65. It was obviously not a shirt term problem either as there was a large fan already there in the room. After promptly calling the front desk, they said an engineer would be sent to investigate. No further feedback and called again 45 mins later to be apologized to that the engineer should’ve been there. Soon after he stopped by and said nothing could be done. Waited almost another 45 mins on a manager to call, eventually went to front desk to be told it was a problem for the entire hotel. Further explained that “upper management” wasn’t doing much about the problem and we could cancel without penalty. We went to another hotel with working AC. Wasted over 2 hours because the hotel couldn’t even upfront about the issue. Looking at other reviews seems to have been an ongoing problem. Sad as had a lot of hope for the Park Lane, but very poor experience.

In totality, very disappointed with this experience. As many others have mentioned, we were welcomed with notice that our room would be behind on check-in due to system difficulties - reasonable, we thought. Once finally getting a text to come check into our room, a text we had to schedule an entire day in Manhattan around addressing to ensure wed be in radius to get there, shower, and go to dinner, we were excited. Come to find that like others, we were not given keys, but rather told that a security guard would be escorting us to our room due to the system lapse. Not only did I feel like this compromised our safety, as we were forced into having a stranger escort us into our rooms at all hours of the day, but it was a substantial inconvenience, leading to ~20 min wait times to access our room. Even the bell boys and security guards were shaking their heads in disbelief of the level of service being received. So, we finally get into our room, which had gorgeous views of the park. I also had gorgeous views of a big bag of taco bell and paper sanitary products that had been left in my room, as it was not properly checked over. I dont mean to come off as overly negative, but this is just a lapse in service that would never be expected in a hotel at this price and rating.Park Lane - you have fantastic facilities and many incredible staff, but your inability to operate effectively is shadowed only by your unwillingness to remediate proactively and offer concessions to avoid reviews such as this. With the price I paid, I just simply expect better. I do hope you contact groups that stayed over this period and try to do some damage control.

Staff was honest that it wont be fixed anytime soon. However with a heat wave in NYC its very uncomfortable and not worth the $600+ rate. It also seems like a recurring issue given other past reviews. Also the TV signal has been out the last two days. Again, expect more for the rate and the JW is next door.Note about the room- not recommended for business travel. There is no desk, lighting is dim. The bathroom is small. I would not recommend this place.Ive called several times and left two messages regarding this billing issue and no one has returned my call. I’ve also emailed the info park email and no reply either . We stayed at Park Lane on March 26-29 and we were very disappointed in the stay. When we first arrived at the hotel, there was a technology issue that was supposed to be resolved within 24 hours. We waited over an hour to get checked in. During the stay, someone had to escort us to our room every time we left and came back due to this technology issue. It still was not fixed when we left on Friday. Every time we purchased something from the hotel, it had to be written down again causing another inconvenience. At night, the hotel room was very hot and we had difficulty sleeping. I called the front desk and they sent somebody up to our room but nothing could be done. I am very disappointed especially when I am paying this much money for a nice hotel. During our check out, we told the lady at the front desk our issues and she wrote it down and said that a manager would be calling us and we would be receiving a discount. This has not been done either. We got charged almost $3,000 for our stay and have still not received a phone call or email regarding the issues we had during our stay.

I was very impressed with this hotel for the price and location. The service was excellent, almost 5 star I’d say, they greet you when you come into the building , free waters , robes and shoes in each room, 24/7 room service that got be a bag of chips at 2am Saturday night, amazing roof top bar and breakfast. The only downside I’d say is the rooms, the hotel was remodeled and you can tell the rooms / hallways are visibility old and very thin. The first night we had a family with 2 little kids staying next to us and everytime someone open and closes their door it shakes the entire hallway. The kids were playing in the hallway in the morning so we didn’t get a ton of sleep. David from the lobby moved us to a new room and it was much quieter but I think putting some more furniture and re doing the doors to each room would go a long way in improving the overall guest experience. Also the windows are not insulated or sound proofed so you can hear the city very audibly. I’d expect more from a hotel if this star and quality. Also the views from the rooms and rooftop are stunning. Overall I’d give it 4 and bump it up to 5 if they made the improvements to the doors , windows and made the rooms feel a bit more luxurious.

I recently had the misfortune of staying at Park Lane Hotel and, regrettably, my experience fell far short of expectations.Upon arrival, I encountered significant inconveniences due to the hotels system being down. The prolonged wait times to check-in were unacceptable, leaving me feeling frustrated and exhausted after a long journey. Even accessing my room became a hassle, as I had to rely on staff with master cards to grant me entry, further adding to the inconvenience.Whats more disheartening is the lack of responsiveness from the hotel management regarding my complaints. Despite reaching out via email on 4/29/2024 and following up, I have yet to receive any acknowledgment or resolution. This sudden decline in customer service is deeply disappointing, especially after having previously experienced prompt and attentive responses from the staff. To make matters worse, the hotel had the audacity to impose a late charge due to the system outage, penalizing guests for circumstances beyond their control. This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the hotels management.Overall, my experience at Park Lane Hotel was marred by inefficiency, lack of communication, and disregard for guest comfort. I had hoped for a pleasant stay, but instead, I was met with frustration and disappointment. I strongly advise against choosing this establishment for your accommodation needs, as the level of service does not align with the expectations of discerning guests.Edited: It’s been 2 weeks and I have not heard from them since I posted this review. Was told a member would reach out to me but nothing, I am greatly disappointed in their lack of communication.

Just a terrible experience overall. In room heater didn’t work. Right faucet in bathroom didn’t work. Cleaning service was non existent. Had to complain 3x in one day to get it done. Their computer system was down for our entire stay and everything had to be done manually. The problem is not the staff. They did their best. The problem is Highgate the ownership. They couldn’t care less. The staff is, as far as I can tell doing their best.Unless ownership does something to improve the situation. Avoid this damn hotel. The view is nice. The quality of management is absolutely atrocious.

My stay at Park Lane Hotel in New York was nothing short of perfect. The room size exceeded my expectations, providing ample space for relaxation. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the breathtaking view of Central Park from my room. Waking up to such a stunning vista was truly unforgettable. The hotel’s location is ideal, offering easy access to the city’s attractions. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend Park Lane Hotel to anyone seeking a memorable experience in New York City.

Overall, the central Park hotel is obviously beautiful and the rooms have really great views. If you get the panoramic central Park king rooms it is however very busy and there’s a lot of people in the lobby. Guest services and check in tends to have a line and it’s quite loud, but the view from the room is fantastic

I enjoyed my stay at the Park Lane Hotel, thanks to its fantastic location just a short walk from Madison Avenue’s shopping stores. The view from my luxury room, overlooking Central Park, was absolutely stunning. However, the prices were quite steep compared to other times of the year. One downside is that they don’t provide a coffee machine or water kettle in the room unless you pay extra for it. If you’re considering a standard room, I’d recommend exploring other options in the area, as the views from those rooms are less impressive. The staff was friendly and helpful, though, and I would consider staying here again if the prices were more reasonable.

I stay here regularly and have typically had a good experience. However, last week, their “system” was down and I had no keys to my room. Had to wait to be escorted back and forth. attempted to check in today - and am cooling my heels in the lobby waiting, once again because their “system” is down and there’s no room or key or guarantee of a room until whenever……whenever I get a call or text. What is happening Park Lane? I spend a lot of time and money in your establishment regularly and that is over. As does my firm. Over. Do better next time.

The hotel positions itself as a 5 star. There are no signs of this here. It deserves two stars, but no more. We carried our bags ourselves, and no one helped. The rooms are just awful, expensive and cheap, very dirty. They do not match their price. Shower gel was not brought for two days. Wi-Fi disappeared on New Years Eve and did not appear again. All reviews are inflated. We decided to check out a day early, because it was very unpleasant to stay here. The administration did not even ask about our decision. They did not care. Booked through booking.com, the price was $ 1,500 with all fees and taxes. We did not use any services in this hotel. In total, the amount was $ 2,000. We strongly do not recommend this hotel!!!!!!

Good room, lovely view, quiet but ridiculous that they wanted $35/day to rent a coffee machine and charge $50 for internet. No morning coffee or tea. REally? Even inexpensive motels give you coffee machines and internet and often a continental breakfast for free. To be charged a lot for the room and then get nickeled and dimed is simply insulting.During our stay the computer system was down so we had no room keys. The staff was great and let us in, but really no security. We could have requested entry to any room!

There are alot of reviews on here covering the last week or so, some of which really do go in hard where I dont think its deserved.Yes, system issues meant check in took a little time but only 20 mins or so and it meant room keys did fail occasionally and needed reactivating, not a huge deal.Other than a slight inconvenience there really isnt another down side to what I experianced regards the systems, perhaps other had it worse but I suspect not much worse. That aside and in the face of great stress that they didnt cause or want any more that the guests the staff were incredible. From the guest relations team, Cruz and Griselila, who smashed it out the park for my wifes bday surprise to Tim on the door who sorted our transfers out without a single hitch, they were all friendly, helpful, doing there best and at all time polite and empathetic.Hotel is a lovely old feel place, great rooms and facilities in a superb location for all your NYC holiday needs.Dont let a bad few days with the computers put you off, this place more than meets expectations.Thank you Park Lane team, sad to leave you, see you next time!

The view only the view. We had two bedroom for 5 nights. We chose the hotel for the location and the view and we were not disappointed at all, both are really great. Room as nice, and bathroom are really great, got a bit disappointed by the beds too soft for us.When it comes to service, this is one of the worst experience I had, the rudeness of the front desk is just impressive, I have never see that in any kind of hotel. Not welcoming at all, no question about our trip, you are just a random number and they dont give a s...t.After check in, one of the room, was already occupied, not an apology, nothing has been done, and I had to complain to get this solved. And we were downgraded to 6th floor because no room was available. The service was a continuous lack of empathy, lack of details that makes your stay something remarquable. Hopefully one lady at front desk (coming from Cuba) was really nice and change room for us after several complains.Housekeepers, ladys from breakfast and valet were really nice and providing good service. So management should react, keep the right people at front desk, and displace people who dont like their job or helping customers.

The best part about this hotel is its location being south of Central Park and close to 5th Avenue, and with that the view of Central Park. That was spectacularThere was a great anticipation leading up to our stay as we got the park view room for our 4 nights stay, and the reservation team was very helpful with changes of our reservation. However, our first night was a little rocky. We came to a room with a malfunction thermostat, so the room was overheating. Had someone from engineer that came to manipulate the heater, but eventually, was given a portable heater for the night. The next morning, the floor around the heater was soaked with likely leakage from the heater.Went to speak to the duty manager - Ryan; was very apologetic and was given a different room. We were very appreciative of thatThe housekeeping was very flaky, towels were replaced inconsistently in our room. For the price per room, it doesn’t come with toilet amenities except for towels and toiletries, no coffee or tea in room or common area. The hotel guest lifts were shared with Public guests that were trying to access the rooftop restaurant, which was very inconvenient and less private. In conclusion, probably one of the cheaper option hotel with CP view, but we are unlikely to return.

A great location right next to Central Park. Breakfast on the 46th floor is a must with great tasty food and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. We did have some minor issues with some individual members of staff who lacked the usual excellent hospitality you expect in America but on the whole the other staff more than made up for this.On that note I would advise people to check what is included in their booking as breakfast on the 46th floor might not be included and its not cheap. Also on arrival they charged our card $750 which was only refunded at the end of our stay so you may need to factor that in your spending plans.New York is a great city to visit and we would recommend staying here as it was the perfect location.

The BEST hotel we’ve stayed at in NYC! As we arrived we were greeted by bell attendants / door men as they helped us with our bags and told us where the front desk was. After checking in, the bell attendants transported our luggage and came with us to our room. When our room door opened we were in so much awe of the panoramic view overlooking Central Park during sunset! The peaceful ambience of the room was complemented by singing birds from the TV and nature inspired decor. It felt like home! We spent about an hour or more taking pictures in front of the window.Next, we arrived to our 6:00 PM reservation at the Darling rooftop lounge. The waitresses sat us at a table with views of the incredible skyscrapers. Drinks were great! After temporarily leaving for dinner we came back to the room with warm and comforting lighting from behind the bed heads. The chirping birds helped us fall asleep so easily! In the morning, Central Park was covered by thick fog but cleared up a little bit later. We decided to order in-room breakfast and it was wonderful! Nothing better than enjoying breakfast together in the comfort of our room with spectacular panoramic views of Central Park!Checking out of the hotel was difficult because we really enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer! They offered to store our bags before checking in to our next hotel which was what we needed.Thank you for a great stay! We wish to come back soon!- Kevin & Desiree

My husband and I stayed at Park Lane in July. We booked the panoramic park view king room. My husband and I were very excited to stay here as this was a quick getaway trip to NYC. However, we were sadly disappointed with the room. Upon arrival to the room the thermostat was reading 78 degrees. We called the front desk and they had somebody come and change the settings. Hoping this would work, we waited an hour and the temperature did not budge. We called the front desk again and the best they could offer was a fan and said they would send somebody up again. They sent up a fan but nobody came to check the thermostat again. At this point we were feeling frustrated, especially when we are paying so much a night. We called the front desk again and they brought us another fan. The second fan came but still didnt feel much cooler. At this point we were very frustrated. This is unacceptable to be charging so much per night, sleeping with not one but TWO fans in 77 degree weather in the summer. We called the front desk AGAIN and they offered a room change on a much lower floor ( the reason we booked this room was for the view but we were so fed up that we were willing to move rooms), we went to check the new room before moving and it was just as hot. We ended up just staying with the original room with the two fans because we had just spent the first 2 hours of our trip dealing with this issue and didnt want to move rooms just to be in the same condition. We spoke to the front desk again stating how frustrated and ridiculous this was, the best they said they could do was to waive the 50$/night hotel fee. This was laughable at this point, when we are spending $600 per night, you would expect a little better customer service for such conditions. The view of Central Park was great but the sleeping accommodations, not so much.

The bathroom title was a poor choice for the shower, I can easily see guests slipping in it.The kicker was valet parking, which for the high dollar amount I paid, expected it to be included. The main-floor amenities are convenient, stylish and operated by gracious staff. We travel to NYC a couple of times a year, but hadnt made it up at Christmastime since pre-COVID, so we wanted to treat ourselves to a Central Park view. We had come in for some lunch at Harrys Bar at Park Lane this summer, and I really loved the feel of the hotel, so it was an easy decision when we decided to make the trip for Christmas...especially with such fair pricing and value compared to other hotels in the area. The ladies at the front desk are so welcoming (...and very patient - one of them had to deal with a very rude guest in front of us, and she handled it so beautifully). Our room was beautiful and comfy - the art murals throughout the hotel are such a nice touch. We didnt go up to have breakfast at The Darling until our last day, which I DEEPLY regretted...the servers up there are so wonderful and cheerful, the atmosphere is impeccable, down to the music, and the food was all fantastic. I am so thrilled that we stayed here, and we cant wait to return. Thank you for a fantastic trip!

Booked 6 nights to celebrate my birthday & the anniversary of our first date with my partner. Worst experience we had in a hotel and we travel a lot, there is no standing at all. Doesn’t recommend to stay there if you are looking for a memorable stay or to celebrate something.First with the checking, we arrived at 4pm and the room was not ready. We had to wait for almost 1h at the reception, after an 8 hours flight, without any apologies or welcome drink. Any introduction about the hotel, the facilities, any recommendations or even question about our stay/celebration.Anyway we got the room, panomaric suite view with a stunning view on Central Park. We called the room service just to get 2 glasses of champagne and it took them 40 minutes to bring them to our room… And basically don’t expect anything to be served less than 40/60mn , the room service is very very slow with a poor choice of menu…Then about the hospitality they really need to get a training since there is absolutely no service in this hotel or special attention to feel at least a bit considered as a valued guest and not just a room number. For my birthday I asked a lighter to light my birthday cake they advise me to go get one at the supermarket… any letter or special attention for my birthday…The conciergerie doesn’t take in consideration our request when we ask something. We have to ask at least few times to get an update, except Sergio who gave us a real concierge service and was very professional, which we are thankful ! But the rest of the team is a disaster. To end up Park Lane has a good potential to be a very nice hotel with guests who will feel valued and came back often but they prefer to do not care about their guests and have a lot of attitude when you complain instead to apologise. Very very disappointed about our stay.>>> Book ONE night for the view which is worth it, but not more, you will regret and be upset.

Front rooms with a spectacular view! No other option is worth it to book the hotel. The other rooms are nice but really too expensive without the breathtaking Central Park view. Very fresh and modern cosy look. Some rooms have very, very small closets and bathrooms. ...🤨. The rooftop bar/restaurant is stylish but with quite too noisy hip music... talk with your friends while you are sipping the good cocktails is difficult. The wonderful view is only visible for tall or non sitting persons. So, if you reserve a table because of the view....take a bar table outside. Breakfast is not yet good enough for the price (50$pp plus tax plus tip)...and while sitting at a table, you have no view because the windows are to high...All employees are very friendly! Special thanks to the wonderful Lady serving breakfast at the rooftop and to deep-voice-Dillon from the bar team at the ground floor 😉! ADA Rooms are good, but the entrance door is really, really heavy to open. Once, when you are inside, there is an automatic door to the bathroom. Why not add that helper for the front door?

Can’t beat the location, however, the price doesn’t match the experience. If you’re going to spend that much, stay next door at The Plaza or move to something boutique south of 46th. The rooms are absolutely lovely at Park Lane and a few staff members are outstanding but a few gems can’t carry the holistic experience you would expect for the money. Also the WiFi is useless (less than ~1Mbps sustained if you are lucky). There were a few more things I would expect from a hotel of this price and quality. There was a mini-fridge in the room with nothing in it. Its useless as a personal fridge because the depth was designed for mini-bottles and thats it. (your leftovers will not fit). There are no water bottles provided. (They did claim 2 per day but we never saw them without calling). Ordering water with room service was $10+tax+service. There are no ice machines so you are forced to call down. Delivering ice daily took ~1 hour and multiple calls. They have a long way to go to improve their customer service. The concierge, Lisa, was the only diamond we met. She was outstanding on more than one occasion!

The worst part was the attitude of the staff that were dismissive of my complaints. The only reason Im giving this 2 stars for service was due to the manager being accommodating and providing us with a new room. This all happened on the first day of our five day stay so hopefully things get better, but as of right now, giving Park Lane Hotel 2 stars is being more than generous.

This was one of the best hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. We were celebrating our ten year anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our anniversary trip was a wonderful one. We had an amazing view of Central Park on a high floor that left us literally sitting in front of the window gazing and enjoying the beauty of the park. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, but especially those celebrating a special occasion. The staff was excellent, the amenities were excellent, and the rooftop restaurant (Darling) had amazing views of Central Park. It was a really magical stay for us.

Lovely hotel. Was so welcoming to my young son for a special mommy trip and very accommodating. Service was top notch which I didn’t expect given our current state of staffing shortages everywhere and based on experiences elsewhere. Rooms were very quiet and impeccably clean. There is also a great cafe just steps outside the back door which was a nice bonus.

Nice rooms and superb location, but it is clear this hotel is so preoccupied with profits that hospitality and guest services has fallen by the wayside. I booked a Park View suite here for the morning of my best friends Central Park wedding - so we could have beautiful views for pictures of her getting ready. The morning of, however, the electric blinds malfunctioned and they would not open. I went down to the front desk 4-5 times, each time being told someone would be up in 5 minutes. 2.5 hours later, after the bride was forced to get ready for her special day in the dark, no one ever came. Despite being a major dark spot on this wedding day, the hotel refused to charge me appropriately - leaving me to console a stressed and saddened bride only to pay full price for a Park View suite. Sans the park view. Just pay a little extra money and stay at the many other hotels in the area that actually pride themselves on hospitality.

Front desk was awfully rude and unprofessional. When I checked in, he told me to just scan the bar code for all information. When I checked out, the lady took forever because she forgot her glases and it’s my fault to be checking out at 4 am. During the day, the front desk ladies just stared at you when asked questions. I tried to reduce my interaction with staff during my 5 days stay. Hopefully my company will never put me in this hotel again.

Pros: location, Central Park across the street, walking distance to Metropolitan Museum, Lincoln Center, and Time Square. Friendly check in, valet, doormen, cleaning staff. Completely remodeled bathroom, fresh and modern.Cons: dated bedroom decor and carpet, limited hotel amenities, rooftop breakfast buffet $75 per person, and destination fee $49 per day. Considering the high costs in Manhattan, I think it’s still reasonable.

I’m here from Florida and took an Uber here by accident and it was not my hotel! The hotel names were similar and fortunately not far from where we should have been. The woman at the front desk was awesome, very gracious, courteous and friendly. She actually called our hotel to make sure we had a reservation before we went there! I appreciated that so much! The doorman was friendly and helped us with our luggage while we worked this out and called another Uber. I just wanted to thank them again! You are lucky to have them working for you!!

The Park Lane has some of the largest rooms of five star hotels in this area, and the price is half that of neighbouring hotels. So it’s great value for money if you really want to be on the park. However, the rooms are already starting to feel a bit worn despite the alleged renovation a few years ago - and we had two rooms so it wasn’t an isolated experience. Also, the aircon was definitely NOT renovated, because its an antique system which makes a terrible racket and can’t cool the room below 72f at best, with typically 74 being the lowest. And the doors make a huge noise when closed, so if you are a sensitive sleeper it could be an issue for you.

I enjoyed staying at the Park Lane before they renovated, but the newly updated hotel is very chic and totally elevated the hotel beyond what it was before. I had the pleasure of staying there recently and from the moment I checked in until I checked out, my experience was nothing, but positive. The staff were always very friendly and attentive, the rooms are lovely (as a Le Labo fan, I particularly enjoyed that they now carry their products. Very nice touch!) I unfortunately didnt get a chance to visit the rooftop bar, but both the downstairs bar and restaurant upstairs were great (special thanks to Sam!) I look forward to returning soon!

I recently stayed at Hotel Parklane and had a mixed experience overall. While the hotel boasts nice rooms and a competent front desk team, my encounter with the manager left me disappointed. The rooms at Hotel Parklane were clean, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable stay. The housekeeping staff deserves recognition for their efforts in ensuring a pleasant environment. Additionally, the front desk team was friendly, helpful, and quick to address any concerns or inquiries I had during my stay. They were professional and made sure to provide a warm welcome upon my arrival. However, my interaction with the manager was quite disappointing. I found their attitude to be lacking in basic kindness and understanding. They seemed disinterested and unwilling to listen to my concerns or accommodate my requests. Their lack of empathy was disheartening and tarnished an otherwise positive experience. It is essential for any hotel manager to possess exceptional communication and customer service skills. Unfortunately, in this regard, the manager at Hotel Parklane fell short. A kind and respectful demeanor can greatly enhance a guests experience, and it was disheartening to witness a lack of these qualities. In conclusion, while Hotel Parklane offers nice rooms and a capable front desk team, the behavior and attitude of the manager were disappointing. It is my hope that the management takes steps to address this issue, as it has the potential to greatly improve the overall guest experience.Despite my encounter with the manager, I appreciate the efforts of the hotel staff who made my stay comfortable. I would recommend Hotel Parklane to others, but I would advise them to be aware of the managers demeanor and seek assistance from the front desk for a more pleasant experience.

I was already not super fond of the hotel as I found that it lacks too many basic amenities. For one, there is no working desk whatsoever - all you get is a tiny stool-like side table that is impossible to use without kneeling on the floor. The room also completely lacks any tea or coffee maker - their excuse is that luxury hotels no longer have them, which is preposterous as I stay at Park Hyatt and Four Seasons and they all have them. Instead, you need to room order your tea...which comes with 6usd tray surcharge, ridiculous. The view of Central Park is nice and the location is convenient, so I was going to be nice and give the hotel at least a 3 stars, but then, 2 days after I left, suddenly I found that the hotel has made an unauthorized charge on my credit card. This was ridiculous as when I checked out, I was told everything was cleared and there were no charges. So when I called the hotel reception to find out what the charge was, they said they didnt know and that they would fix this. It has been a week after and the charge has not been withdrawn. It is the first time ever that I am charged without a) knowing about the charge, or what it was even for b) any notice by the hotel when I was checking out, or given a bill. This is truly appalling, and I definitely want to warn others before they book with this extremely unprofessional establishment (especially since it seems to be a common recurrence, upon reading older reviews here).

My wife and I visited New York from October 22 through 26. We rarely choose expensive hotels when we travel but we wanted one near central park so we picked Park Lane. The location is fantastic, but that is where fantastic stops. The hotel was nice enough. Dated but the room was big and everything seemed OK until that first night. It was unbearably hot in the room and got hotter as the night went on. I went down to the front desk to see if they could fix it and was told that they had to shift from cold weather to warm weather and the AC hadnt caught up. They sent an engineer up to the room and he said we could get a room on another line that would be cooler. They did move us but the new room was almost as hot. They gave us a fan.We were told different things but the bottom line was there was no air conditioning to speak of in the hotel. We werent the only people that said something. My other complaint was the elevators. They were challenging at best. Half the time we couldnt even get on one because they were so full. They were definitely not all working. Then you had to scan your key card to get to a room and try to find the floor quickly enough before you had to scan again. The elevators were so dark it was almost impossible to read the floor numbers. We took the stairs more than once. The staff was hit or miss. Some were very courteous, but some werent. When we checked out I said something about how hot the rooms were and the person at the desk waived some sort of fee they were going to charge us after we had already paid for everything. I have no idea what that was. We also charged two coffees (for $17.00!) to our room and she waived that. All in all, the average hotel chain one would stay in was far better than this one. It was not even close to the best one weve stayed in.

Poor experience. Room service would not answer the phone throughout my stay. Hotel claims to be 4 star, but the front desk advised me to go to a vending machine to get drinking water. Thermostat in room did not work. I stopped elevator on an incorrect floor accidentally and entire floor was gutted and under active construction. This hotel should not be open to guests if it is under active construction and if it is unable to provide services it advertises on its website and on 3rd party websites. If it chooses to continue to operate, the hotel should be advertised as 2 star and then the guest experience would be consistent with what is advertised. The quality of my stay was below a 3 star hotel experience and likely closer to a 2 star hotel experience. The overall experience seems to me to be at least the product of hotel management negligence and at most fraud. It seemed to me that hotel management may be knowingly operating in this fashion with intent to deceive those who book a stay. They did not provide full-disclose of the state of the hotel and the severe restriction of services offered.I am hopeful that in the future, this hotel may once again begin offering regular services. However, due to the lack of basic services like availability of drinking water at this time, I would suggest avoiding this hotel.I believe it would benefit most people visiting New York City to stay elsewhere.

This is difficult as I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but people should know a fair evaluation of this hotel. To be brief, the rooms & cleanliness are sub standard. We had to change rooms as the first was smelled horrendous of damp and dirty carpets. The next was a little better luckily. There was a huge fan in the original room which makes me think it had been the scene of a leak or major issue. The AC is non existent, and in NYC heat and humidity, it’s unbearable, we didn’t sleep due to the room being 26C (almost 80 farenheit) even at night. The furnishings are impractical, cheap feeling/looking and not cohesive (lack of storage, uncomfortable chairs) and decor isn’t very luxurious. The reception team aren’t particularly friendly & there’s no point calling the desk as they don’t answer or call back, I had to wait 10 min for the elevator to travel 42 floors to speak to them when we needed to switch rooms. All of this was after travelling for almost 20 hours.Concierge are amazing and are very helpful. The view is the only redeeming quality of this hotel. It salvaged the trip for us as we booked a high floor park view.If we didn’t have the view I wouldn’t have stayed, I’d have left and stayed elsewhere in a heartbeat. With so much competition in NYC I think Park Lane need to up their game. I plan weddings in the city for couples in Europe and I’m afraid Park Lane won’t be on my recommended hotels list after this visit. It’s a shame as it could be so great.

Had a great experience here celebrating an anniversary staycation. The view of Central Park day and night is something you can fall in love with, even if youve lived here for 30 years. When not galivanting around Central Park, there are tons of trains to get around the city close by. Service was super friendly, helpful and prompt. Shout out to Betty for an amazing breakfast hospitality both mornings!

Lovely view to the park. The staff was efficient and kind. It keeps the Manhattan atmosphere alive and hope you will maintain it because although it is a big hotel, it still feels intimate. I would repeat m experience anytime. One suggestion: the lounge and cafeteria could use a good revamp. The staff there would also do good with customer service training.

A hotel with a 5-star price tag and 3-star experience. The rooms are average or even slightly below average. Room service was honestly the worst I’ve experienced in the city. Housekeeping didn’t come two of our six nights. They don’t allow late checkout even though I booked through Amex. The front desk was the most unfriendly and least accommodating I’ve ever experienced.A true disaster of a hotel. If it weren’t for the location, this hotel would be ZERO stars.

They were very pleasant and responsive to my needs during my stay. The breakfast at the restaurant was really good and they had chefs prepared to make omelets or special requests exactly to your desire. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely return.

Stayed on the 38th floor in Central Park view suite and it was exceptional. The view was amazing and we were so happy with our choice to book that room while visiting the Big Apple. The room was huge and everything was nice and well maintained. Only feedback is that the room didn’t have curtains that blocked the light. 5 AM and it felt like all of the lights were on.

I was amazed at how spacious the bedrooms were at Park Lane Hotel. Ive stayed in hotels in New York several times and the rooms are usually tiny. The rooms were spotless and the location of the hotel at the bottom of Central Park is super convenient. The bar is quite small and one night we couldnt get a seat there so went to a bar over the road instead. Overall, really great value for money.

Love this place! Everyone at the front desk is kind and informative. All staff wore masks throughout our stays. Stayed here 4 times so far and will continue. Its old Manhattan. Clean, lobby is beautiful. They are remodeling the upper floors, can not wait to see them!

We were on the 41 level of the central park view side. This was by far the best view Ive ever had in a hotel. The room was decent because the furniture could be updated. At 5-7 pm, the hotel provides free beer, wine, drinks, snacks, cheeses and finger foods which you could take up to your room and eat there. The staff was great too. Overall I will probably stay there again.

I absolutely love this hotel. Not only is it beautiful and well located, but I’ve rarely experienced such a good staff (going from the reception, where Edita welcomed us, to the concierge, where we had the chance to get help from Kat). I would highly recommend staying there.

I was recovering from surgery and had to stay extra nights in the city before heading home to NJ. Park Lane was able to offer an early checkin which helped SO much, and the room was clean and exactly what I needed. The whole team was so helpful!

We had mixed feelings about this hotel. It is an old elegant hotel with good service. They also have a guest reception with free drinks and appetizers from 5-7pm daily. We did attend one night and while it was great it was incredible packed and food and drink line was a nightmare with people pushing to get there items (this didnt bother us too much but had to mention). Our complaint is that the room was substandard for what we expected at the price. The walls were dinged up and scratched. The bathroom had not been updated in years with a cracked granite countertop and a toilet that was stained from the water. Some of the wallpaper was flaking off. I hesitate to give 3 stars for this but it really did standout to us and would hope that they update some of these things soon for a more complete experience.

The staff were very helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were excellent. They were clean, tidy and very comfortable. And the views were fantastic! The hotel is in a central location and there are many attractions, restaurants and other places to eat close by.I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel lobby was nice but beware of the rooms. Especially the bathroom, they are the equivalent to a days inn. I took pictures and the front desk moved me to a different room. The second bathroom was just as bad. I was really looking forward to my 4 night stay at Park Place Lane. The Marriott I stayed at in D.C. Was far better. A big plus is that the staff ( bell man, door man, and others) are very pleasant.

The hotel is dated and dirty. but the worst of all was the air conditioning didnt cool. we were there and our room never dropped below 76 degrees even though we had thermostat set at 66. there tried many things to lower it but said that the entire hotel was having same problem. I would definitely avoid this property.

Beautiful room which was very clean, great size, incredible view and perfect location! There was a $40 Resort Fee which upon questioning the hotel they said its for the free wifi! Very strange and I didnt even need wifi, but they said everyone has to pay. It was $65 for valet parking which isnt really valet, but a parking garage on the backside of the hotel, but fine. There was an additional charge to my credit card for $81. I called the hotel billing department a dozen times and left messages, but never heard back. Called the hotel front desk and he said that its only a hold and not a charge, to which I disagreed. Anyway, I had to dispute it with my credit card company and still never heard back from the hotel on this fraudulent/mistaken charge. Be sure to check your credit card statement! Id give five stars if it wasnt for the fishy resort fee and the incorrect $81 charge with no response. I did love the room/hotel. They were renovating the higher floors while I was there so its probably going to be even more incredible!

Brought my son to this delightful hotel for a few days. This is easily one of the best locations in all of Manhattan. Between the serenity and beauty of central park and the hustle/bustle of midtown nyc, you simply cannot find a nicer place to stay. The room was quiet and very comfortable; the bed was incredibly supportive. The hotel staff was exceptional. I paid a very reasonable rate for a first-class experience here. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation! Treat yourself!

Good location and large rooms, but the hotel was run down. Worst part was the air conditioner which didnt do anything... had the thermostat set to 65 the whole time I was there and the room never got below 74 despite the outside temp at night falling into the 50s. No microwave or water heater in the room. Shower wouldnt get very hot. Additionally, the hotel still charged a daily $35 service fee despite some of the services not being available during covid, such as the restaurant.Edit: I see your reply A YEAR LATER, which clearly demonstrates your disinterest. You did not provide any contact information for me to send you my details like you requested, and Im certainly not going to post my email address here.

Hotel reception and staff were great, and rooms are well equipped and very clean, but a little bit dated, especially the small bathroom. We had a partial park view looking over the Plaza hotel and it was still breathtaking.WiFi was included, and there is a guest reception with complimentary good and drinks every day from 5 to 7 pm.

We stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights, and we are not coming back. The service and amenities are not what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. The AC in the room we got kept rattling, which was annoying when we were trying to sleep at night. We called reception twice about this issue, and even though they sent maintenance to fix it, they didn’t. When you go to a hotel, you’re expecting to be able to rest and relax. We slept poorly, kept waking up in the middle of the night due to the noise coming from the AC. We got a suite with the park view, which is more expensive, and it’s frustrating that we had to deal with this.

We really enjoyed a 4 night stay at the Park Lane hotel. The city view rooms were good - probably worth aiming for the park view if you can. The decor in the lobby and rooms is really pretty and whimsical. The beds are large and comfortable - we had the 2 queens. The air conditioning didn’t feel terribly effective but was okay. Drinks downstairs were fun. We didn’t do the breakfast as it sounded expensive if you aren’t planning to drink alcohol. Central Park south is busier than I remembered but probably makes sense in the summer. It’s a good location for Fifth Ave shopping and the park and easy access to a few subway options. Overall I would recommend if you want to stay in this area.

The room was very nice however food and service was very poor. We were charged $26 for 2 tiny coffees and a chocolate croissant, of which tasted old, wet and below average. For dinner we went to ‘harry’s Bar’ in the hotel. The service was very poor. We were shouted at by the waiter, who did not clean our table before seating us. The food wait was over 1 hour just for soup and when it came out it was stone cold. Not a great experience.

The hotel looks nice online and in the lobby. The actual rooms are quite old and not that clean. Grout looks gross in the bathroom, pillows look fluffy but are super flat, looks like the carpet hasnt been cleaned in years. One of the more annoying things about our stay is that theres a thermostat in the room, but it doesnt seem to work. When we arrived it said the room was 78 degrees and it was turned down to 64. We came back after like 5 hours of it still being at 64 and it was still hot in the room. Staff is very nice and helpful but the hotel is just dingy overall.

Really nice hotel in Manhattan right off Central Park. I have stayed here several times. The staff is very accommodating, I stayed there this summer when unfortunately the air conditioning went out in the building. The management was as accommodating as they could be. Betty who is a regular hostess at the Happy Hour is always great to get back to. If youve been to the Happy Hour youll remember Betty really sweet lady that takes the time to be truly hospitable to all the guests.
