Went for brunch, $45 for bottomless sangrias and rasta pasta (wild good), that DJ was playing all of the hits from the 90s to current, good vibes, nice crowd, staff from security, bouncers, bartenders, party promoters were very polite and accommodating. Overall a positive experience.
This review is based on Saturday 1/19/19 visit for the brunch event between 5:30pm and 5:45pm. The folks doing the brunches will compromise the reputation of this place. The female at the door was absolutely out of line. RUDE is an understatement. We literally walked in with her arguing with another group of other females. My friends and I were on the guest list for reduced priced entry and she STILL had the nerve to say I determine the price, and its $30 guest list or not. That is absurd. Even asking her follow up questions her attitude was nasty and dismissive. Could we have paid the entry, yes. But how are you promoting good vibes events and your front door staff is disgusting. The near by hookah lounge had great music..... which turned into a party. I recommend just going somewhere else for brunches/day parties. This basement is not worth the negativity in your life.
I did not enjoy it at all. I do not like places that make you wear high heels just to get in. And then charge your guest a fee even if you paid for an event on the same night. And then the menu options were different the day of the event, from the website (as I was told to look at to see the menu). Everything I was told did not happy. I paid for bottle service and did not get that. The music was so crappy. No top hits. Not at all a mixture of music. I really didnt like anything about this place.
Very cool place, ended up watching the game over here. I also ended up ordering some food, some jerk wings which were pretty excellent alongside with some waffles. They also had a pasta with shrimp, it was very good. They have hookah here for people who like hookah and the DJs pretty good the night that I went. The only complaint that I have about the place is that when you go downstairs there is next to no signal for your phone, its very hard to get in touch with people to let them know where you might be in the actual Club.
Great atmosphere and fun vibe. The service however was extremely unprofessional. Made a reservation and $100 deposit to ensure my party of 10 would be accommodated and not only was there not enough seating, the waitress kept disappearing and we didn’t order until 30 minutes into our reservation. After fighting with the manager who was also quite rude, they finally let us stay to get our money’s worth.
Super lit day party ! Great food , drinks and hookah. Awesome ambiance the promoter was great ad well as our server. We were super late still they got us a table food drink amd our hookah before 6pm brunch was over and they gave us half an hr extra to close out our bill for the brunch special a definite hidden gem
We had booked a table for a friend birthday for Sunday brunch they not only didn’t have a table ready for us when we arrived not a big deal ( hey this s nyc ) when we finally did get a table the waitress proceeded to tell us we had to “ pre pay” for our meals which was strange to us ( group of 4-5 black women) I refused to pay for food before hand , I felt offended by that because I didn’t see anyone else paying before hand, but didn’t want to spoil the bday celebrations so I paid . Big mistake! The food was horrible like terrible no effort at all the burger was disgusting, had to send my burger back twice because it was ridiculously pink when I asked for a well done burger! They didn’t even give me a new burger just kept cooking over the same one . Bouncer was very rude when we were trying to take pictures i there awful establishment. It’s obvious they don’t care about people just money . On a positive note the DJ was on point ! Great music ! terrible service and good . Won’t be returning
Came here for the bottomless brunch a few times on a Saturday. My overall experience is good, could be better if they get better staff. They dont allow Timberlands because theyre trying to draw in a different crowd, however, a fight broke out amongst the different crowd. The DJ is the bomb, the bottomless drinks are ok, love the hookah with free refills.
This place and the management is the worst. My friends and I about 7of us arrive for 4:30pm birthday brunch with reservations!!!! we wait on the line since 4:07pm and now it’s 6:08pm and we are inside and the manger tells us he’s sorry after 2 hr wait and the only thing he can offer us a free pitcher of mimosas. This place is the worse my first and last time going there and they only play 90’s music. DO NOT PATRONIZE this place even with reservations you will end up waiting. This was a waste of time and a ruin of my friends birthday. Poor management and unprofessionalism from whoever is running this.
Eh its okay. The bottles are overpriced and the music was okay. Nothing special about this place
I had an amazing time here for my bachelorette weekend! The brunch and day party had great food, music, and energy. My group of 12 and I were taken care of immediately and didn’t have to wait to be serviced. I would highly recommend this venue!
Attended a bridal party brunch here today. The music is 5 stars hands DOWNNN! The food tasted awesome (Rasta pasta w/ chicken) but by the time it got to my table my plate was pretty cool. It wasn’t COLD but it definitely wasn’t warm enough. The reason I gave this place 3 stars only because the security was EXTREMELY tight. It was almost uncomfortable how much security & the different phases of security you had to go through. Also just because you are a security guard does not mean you have to be rude & not personable. Lighten up it’s really ok.
Came here for a Corporate Event and was impressed with the interior decoration. DJ for that night was amazing the music selection was good. They have good Mediterranean food. The lounge was pretty small which made hard to dance when it is crowded.
Brunch menu was very limited 4 entrees to be exact. Nasty food. DJ kept playing same songs over. I enjoyed myself because of the group I was with. Bouncer was very rude and disgusting while leaving. Will not return.
Can you give a review of a place that you haven’t even had the chance to experience? But here we go. Today, May 19, 2018 I was intending to celebrate my birthday along with my best friend’s birthday. We each had individual birthday fliers made with our faces on it to hand out to to our friends and a combined brunch reservation for 4pm. With that being said, the restaurant owner or whoever was in charge, very well knew that I was going to attend this event and that a deposit was made for the brunch.A friend that recommended Le Reve explained that the establishment is veryyyyy serious about punctuality for reservations and that was evident today as I watched as the doorman only allowed a party to go inside for their allotted reservation time as long as all party members were present. With that being said, I was nervous that I wouldn’t be allowed in due to the traffic caused by inclement weather. Rushing to get ready to avoid being late, upon my arrival I realized that I left my ID at home. Granted you need ID to get inside these types of establishments, that wasn’t the issue. I told security that I left my ID at home and he instructed me to wait for the doorman to come back to tell him. The doorman approached and I explained that my ID was left at home. He said to ask someone at home to take a picture and send it to my phone as proof. I did exactly that. He took my phone and showed security and that’s when security denied my access inside of the restaurant. I have no one to blame about leaving my ID home except for myself but what annoyed me the most is the back and fourth about getting proof that I have an ID and still being denied access despite being on the list as a guest with a reserved table for brunch birthday celebration and a deposit made. Switching up rules for convenience is not acceptable and that’s exactly what occurred today. One person said that I was fine, granting me access and another says the opposite. I will never support this establishment. It’s really not that serious to deny someone who reserved a table for a celebration and that have their guests already in the restaurant waiting. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Nice location service unorganized even when reservation is made. Service is very slow drinks are good food was good. Only thing I did not like was the fact of once day party was over everyone was asked to leave lights turned on so that a different type of crowd can come in. I was a little confused as to why we had to leave.
The group who runs the brunch and trap music on Saturdays one of their working members needs an attitude adjustment. LIKE SERIOUSLY!The doormen who was in charge of reservations was super nice. Our reservation was 4pm and we got there around 340ish. The nice doormen called another dude (the nasty one who we will call NO) came look at his watch and was like they are early but seemed highly annoyed. As NO walked us in I asked about the $100 deposit I put down for our table of 5. He said in condisending tone you can use the money toward whatever u want. At this point my friend was like he is not too friendly, which I was glad I was not the only one feeling NOs attitude. He sits us at this kiddy table (like a table the kids sit at for Thanksgiving) were we can barely stretch our legs. My party looked around and realized most seats were kinda the same but we still wanted move to a roomier table, not be on top of each other. So I asked NO if we can move to another table, he came sucked his teeth and said all these tables are reserved. Now Im starting to get a little hot!Our waitress came who was super nice and attentive made the experience better. We had our brunch ordered pitchers, hookah (unlimited coal refills) and shots, bill came to about $300.The DJ was great, played a great mix of rap hip hop and r&b. The waitress closed us out at 6pm and told us we can stay at the table but another party was coming. We asked NO what were the bottle packages and he said minimum of 2 bottles for 400!!!! We stayed at the table till about 645pm and here comes NO TELLING us that he is gonna move us to the bar after we ordered 2 more pitchers, wings and hookah. Im like okay thinking that we were going to have space at the bar even though it was pretty packed but still space to move around. Of course NOT! He moved us to one seat at the bar! Wth dude did you not realize that we are a party of five. After looking around the club, there were other tables with empty cups, no food, NOTHING ON THEIRS TABLES. So why were we moved when my table was full ?????? This time I was FUMING!!!!!!So I found NO and told him that we needed more room at the bar, if we can sit at an empty table that was right next to our original table. He look at his phone and then looked me and said this table is reserved of course in his nasty ASSSSSSS attitude. I asked the bartender to refund my money for the pitchers were order and she did.The atmosphere of Le Reve is a nice intimate size. The venue is downstairs, so I only saw one exit, which was the way we came in. The cell phone service sucks!! So if u need to get in touch with someone u have to go back upstairs. The womens bathroom has 4 stalls but one toilet was clogged. On the fence if I would go again. The pros and cons are equal.
Reserved at section, got bottle service, paid the deposit and when I got to the place everything was different smh! Security is rude and not welcoming! They only good thing about this place when I went for my birthday was the waitress! They charge 30$ to get in after 6 which is crazy to me because a club don’t even charge that much! My first and last time at this place🤷🏾♀️
The atmosphere is definitely what youre looking for when wanting an authentic hookah bar experience. Benches, high tables and wide spaces for dancing. Hookahs are flavorful and the price is right! Overall the bar seemed slightly limited, but appetizers like hummus with fresh warm pita were definitely crowd pleasers!
Have you ever been to a place where when you leave you are filled with so much infuriation that you wish you had a punching bag with the faces of the manager(s) pasted to it? Well, I hadn’t, until last night. The night started off well-ish. We had a reservation but yet no table ready. We were a group of 8. Instead of one big table, it was 4 tables for two people put together. Granted, there was an event happening that we weren’t told about before we got there and although I asked for it, I never got water the whole night, it was my friends birthday and we were out to celebrate her.We ordered food, hookah (which I must admit, was good and they frequently changed out the charcoal which was nice), and got some drinks. The DJ was playing primarily 80s-90s music. The night was shaping to be good. But then, all modicums of curtesy, professionalism and customer service went out the window. I don’t know if the blatant disrespect was because we were a group of black people or because we were mostly women, but either way, it was abhorrent.Towards the end of the night, while ppl in our group were still eating and smoking hookah, one of the employees started clearing our table. Nbd. Then they started separating the tables as we were still using them. Without saying anything. We tried to keep one chair, but he snatched it back to a new table that they had just created. Then, in the clearing of our table, while one of us was actively smoking the hookah, they physically removed it out of his mouth and went to go put it at the bar. Then they gave us our check that included a drink that was not ordered by us and another that never came to the table, and told we had to migrate to the bar where there was no room. Mind you, ppl were still eating and no one had gotten their included desert. So, we tried to have the bill corrected and speak to someone about the hookah incident. We asked to speak with management, which only caused the night to get worse. When we initially tried to alert management to the many problems they went to every other table to check in on them but us. Then when they finally did come, they were rude and unapologetic. While waiting for the manager to come I kept getting stepped on by various servers who apparently do not know the words excuse me or know how to tap you to alert you to the fact that they would like to pass, but I digress. Once the managers finally came the attitude was well sorry this happened, but what do you want me to do? I want you to manage. When there’s an issue, it’s your job to make the situation better, not worse. But yet, all they did was make it worse. My real issue is that this wasn’t a problem where the employees were acting rogue and not upholding the standards of the establishment—because the overwhelming majority of servers and employees we interacted with were great. No. This was an issue of rude, unprofessional management unapologetically treating guests like second rate citizens. As an attorney who was out trying to celebrate with other attorneys, I have a network of over 1000 people in the NYC area. I will make sure that no one I know or anyone they know ever patronizes this establishment as our night was an example of the most abhorrent and disrespectful treatment I have ever experienced.
Cool little spot for after parties and club like atmosphere. Only smaller. Hookah is available if youre into that. If youre like me and can enjoy going out by yourself check this place out. The DJ kept the place live. To see thick sexy ladies recording each other twerking it out and taking selfies come vibe here on a Friday or Saturday night. I wasnt feeling the $20 cover fee but the night was young so whatever.
The manager Happy is definitely a valuable asset to your establishment. He goes above and beyond to make his customers feel comfortable. The food is delicious and the drinks are great.
Its a scam, people who know the owner gets in smooth and gets payed by people who are unknown to them, worst music ever, worst hookah, food miserable and the bouncer is asking for money like tickets to heaven are sold here. My advice the money you will pay here is worth to pay in a more decent place with actually a real club rather than a lie..
Great food and music. Went for my birthday on 7/7/18. There was also hookah but it was very strong. Crowd was mixed and so was the music. Great staff! Definitely a must!
One of the main bouncer or managers was rude to my friend. Way too expensive for a place not really fancy and wasnt as happening on even a Saturday night. 1 star for the hookah though - that was really good - which I could probably get for 25 bucks elsewhere too.
Thank you for a delightful dinner (May 30, 2014, with Groupon). The food was tasty, delicious; the presentation great. Our server was very courteous, and unhurried. She answered our questions in describing our menu choices and those we did not choose. The atmosphere was relaxing. This was my first visit and will surely recommend Le Reve to my family and my friends.Once again, thank you.
Went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and was rushed out for “not spending enough money” though our brunch tab eclipsed $500 (quality of the food/drinks was definitely not worth it).Save your time and either head into the city or to another place this place is trash, trust me.
This spot is poppin! I came here to celebrate my 27th birthday. We did all you can drink brunch (2 hours) that included food for $60 (5) people. And we got a hookah. The drink are pretty good, and will catch up on you (sip slow yall). The food was pretty good as well. The hookah was bomb, and there was a constant flow of replenishing the coals. The music and vibe was live. No one was acting crazy, no fights or any of that. Every one was dancing and chillin. Would definitely reccomend this place to turn up and have fun.
Nice scene. Music is always on point. No dress code so everybodys chill, if you know what I mean. Bouncers can be a little aggressive but good vibes otherwise
Beautiful decor, hookah is worth the money, for $40-75 with multiple flavors unlimited refills, brunch was delicious, drinks were delicious... Sunday brunch day party is awesome. Definitely going back!!!!🤤🤤🤤
Very spacious in middle of the city.Hookahs great.
Made reservation for 7 both hosts was unprofessional, ill-mannered and lacked managerial skills. Security disgustingly rude and improper when addressing and searching customers. Everyone that had reservations was playing musical chairs, very unorganized.
Great time, just very tight in the brunch/party area...you keep bumping into the party next to you if seated next to each other. Literally 2 steps away from the party next to you. Rasta pasta was great, sangrias could have been stronger
Went on a Thursday night for late night dining. Theres a rude lady at the door, you pay to enter and a bouncer searches your purse. That should have been my hint to leave. You then proceed into a basement where its dark, sloppy and a wild club scene. Wasnt aware hookah was being smoked at 8:15pm. I left-no refunds!
Ive been here 5 times this year. Celebrated new year here and my birthday and my sister birthday!! Best party brunch in nyc!! Affordable, good vibes, great management. Delicious food
Took 40 minutes to get inside even with a reservation. Table was not ready, very disorganized arrangement. Food was ok, mimosa tasted like water and dj plays the same songs over and over.
Okay but the hookah is absolutely trash and they use quick light coals if you wanna get cancer faster. the management here are absolutely horrible and as for the bouncer they’re just anger Bronx dude that wants to brawl in with everyone.
I wish I could give It no stars , This place is horrible. The staff sucks !!!! One of the worst experience ever! It was my friends birthday and we were all supposed to meet up here. They gave them a hard time to get in and finally when we did get in , the place is dead with like 5 people inside !!!! The music was strange and the hookah was awful ...wont ever go there again
Came here after a bachelorette party, as part of a promotion from Hunkamania. We were told wed get entry right away, but that wasnt the case when we arrived. The party was setup with free sangria and a bottle of vodka, but the bouncers kept grabbing the bottles and serving other parties. Eventually, they gave the brides bottle to a different party, and then refused to assist us.
Had tons of fun here and the food was delicious. DJ was really good and waitresses were nice. Only gave 4 stars bc one of the male managers was not personable at all. Despite him I will return.
This venue has potential due to location and appearance. However, the people who run it can be very rude. If theres ever a change in management, maybe Ill return for some events, but until then, Le Reve is on my never again list.
It took more than an hour to get my friends food, we reminded the waitress, the sever, the manager and nothing. Manager did not apologize for the wait and wasn’t even willing to give us the meal on the house for the terrible service! It wasn’t crowded and there’s no excuse for this.
This is what I call an old school night club. Well at least for me, prior to few days ago I was there 5 years back and nothing has changed. Drinks, hookah, Middle East entourage and live Dj. If you up to that, this is your place.
Its the worst experience I ever have. Terrible hookah, bad service, they are not organized at all, not good music , the place very small, tip is mandatory and no good drink options. If you want to have fun and good time never waste ur time and money.
Nice place, went when DJ Precise was on deck and he killed it! Danced all night! Only reason this is not a 5 star review is because the drinks were really really weak!
This place is a rip off they over charge you double what you consumed . When you complain they would tell you you have a minimum charge of wherever they want to say .they charge different prices for different ppl .they add a huge something so called OPEN FOOD to your chek to make it at least 300$. Without even consuming this amount.and than when you ask for explanation they would still charge you and offer you a credit but it has to be one one of their slowest days . Had a terrible experience there last night to the point not recommend this place to nobody .if you choose to go than you better be ready for the surprise😠
The DJ is fantastic & had the crowd hype all night long. Brunch was so-so. The food looked great but tasted bland.
Grits were really goodDrinks not so much
I would not go back, the food was good but for the price and where they put group brunches is completely grouped off from the rest of the place. No one was dancing and it was just average.
Great spot, good environment however the service was amazingly slow... Has to get up and find staff to wait on us. Music was 90s slow jam so very chill.
Chill vibe if you wanna just hang out with a friend and catch up. Try the wings theyre amazing. Dont say I didnt tell you . Drinks arent strong which I dont mind because I can only manage one .
Great drinks & really nice atmosphere
Racist people. We had a reservation for a friend of mine bday dinner. As we got there, the guy wont let us in unless we got bottle services at the same time he allowed THEIR KIND in. Since we are OTHERS. Worse place ever!!
They didnt let me in because it said Superman on my shirt. 1 male, 8 females. Its a middle eastern place and Im white. Maybe that had something to do with it.
Terrible avoid this place if possible worse service, drinks and ambiance. If I could give negative stars I would.
A terrible space for silly 20 somethings who mistake spending lots of money for having a good time and just dancing. Oh and the food is a joke. Like wow.
I like the music loved how u can smoke hookah, drink and eat all while dancing and when its your birthday they do it big would go again
Its an excellent spot to celebrate a special event. Bottle service is good as well decent prices
Worst experience ever. Management was terribly rude. The bouncers assaulted a friend of mine for no apparent reason.
Went to a Saturday brunch and was 1st let down when the menu only had about 4 things on it. Also the security had some issues. The DJ was on fire so it had that going for it.
This place has rules of their own... they charge ridiculously...they have people their to intimidate you... did not feel safe at all... did not expected this... turned out to be a total disaster of the night.....
I love this place over any place in the city or Astoria. Amazing hookah! Amazing food and drinks! Always crazy on Fridays and Saturdays!
Love this place I use to go there a lot a few years back, but Ive been back there lately. Its great
Not so good for me and my friends..we went for bridal party and just because we didn’t have a bottle anymore they kick us out of our table and send us back so it wasn’t nice the way they did it and it was rude and management was awful..sorry not going again
Cute place food was ok love the belly dancing show will definitely come again
Nice place for brunch
Great atmosphere, service, and music. Reasonable prices but most important a great time!!
Weekends get cramped. God bless the wall ACs that powet the evenings just as much as any DJ
Not a pleasant experience at all. Hopefully an experience again in the future may be better, but left to me, I wouldnt go back.
This place is awesome. Great hookah selections, nice waitress.....great atmosphere
Awesome place to chill ! Great music even better food and they have hookah
Good brunch options ! They do not skimp on the bottomless drinks
Always love going to Le ReveStaff is very courteous and I always meet great people.THE ONLY CON...CELL RECEPTION IS ABYSMAL
Pricey but cool
This place is overly expensive for no reason, you have to have ID to get in. The music is great and so is the Henny punch.
Great food awesome hookah, the staff and owners know how to treat people.
The place was trust food nasty stuff, unprofessional and rude the place was just trash
Good spot for a chilled night and also for more turn-up. Awesome Hookah hands down.
Great modern restaurant with affordable prices for NYC. Amazing food and service!
Basement belly dance and full of hookah smoke.. You will smell like hookah flavors when you go home lol
This place was nice, but the bottle services are to expensive and they charge you for tax and gratuity.
Expensive drinks(minimun payment in card is $30) but good music...
DJ was amazing! Kept us on our feet the whole time
Solid. Tough door policy but makes up for it in ambiance/cool factor
Had a great time Alby always puts on a good event
There Sunday Brunch super sexy!! Ooh its a scene!!
Place was great do not go there with alot of people though too crowded
Hookah lasts really long and great service. Cant go wrong...
Worst service ever!!!!we had a reservation and they wouldnt let us in
My friend birthday was here. It was a cool vibe.
Awesome! Fantastic! Fun! And did I mention Awesome! It is a hit.
Kept me waiting outside while the club was empty inside... $300 minimum for a table while all the tables are empty....
Dope place
Great place had a great time and the food is good
Great spot for music, hookah, and late night vibes
I love the place but I hate the bills its an expensive place
No one was there but us and the waitress still got our order wrong !!!!!!!
Had a great time here. Went here for birthday party. There is some scuffle and it was closed when we first got there. There were lots of cops but they resolved that within 30 minutes and open back up again and it was lots of fun.
Had a great time..every time Ive gone.
Loved this place... great hookah and ambiance was nice. The waiter made sure my drinks kept coming and very quickly to do so!! He also ensured I had everything I needed
Gona is the best bartender around. She gave us excellent service and even a list pf places to check out during our visit. The Saturday day party had a great DJ who played a mixture of top 40, Latin music, and early 2000s hip hop.
Great music, cool staff, great service
Went here with some friends in August and had a blast, the food was really great and the banana bread ! Reservations from 2-4 but we stood until 8pm. Hookah was great and waitress was great as well. It was like $45 per head but worth it... there was one female bartender despite after i bought a round of shots for 12 people, later on i asked her for a glass of water and she had the most funky attitude with a fake smile....other than that the vibe was good, wish they played more variety of music literally only played 4 spanish songs but the rest of the selection of music was good. Definitely would go back.
The place is nice, food is good, and music was decent. However if you’re booking for your birthday please find somewhere else. Management is highly unprofessional, and unorganized. I paid for a birthday package I never received. When trying to speak to the manager about my concerns he was very dismissive, and rude. Also two of my guests had their coats misplaced, and instead of the staff doing all they could to find the coats they instead insisted we wait for everyone to leave and then look through the remainder coats. How ridiculous. Definitely would not go back here. Not worth the stress, and dissatisfaction on my big day.
Great atmosphere!
Very classy place. Security is tight and safe. Music is banging. VIP was on point and the hookah was flavorful. Would definitely be going back!!
I had a great time....i appreciate the pat down at the door and the MULTIPLE security guards they had there. the place isnt big, the food wasnt great, but energy and the vibe you feel in that place is GREAT. If you love to dance if you love great music if you love to feel safe, this is the place for you. Check them out!
Came here for a birthday brunch, and left unsatisfied. The owner/promoter is very rude & unprofessional. Told my group of 20 we would be moved to a section after brunch. When we got to the section, another group walked in & stated they were told to come to this section also. When trying to correct the situation, we were told to leave despite being in the process of ordering bottle service. Management was unapologetic! Would NEVER return here & I don’t recommend. Brunch drinks are watered down. No buzz at all. The chicken is unseasoned. Music is good tho.
Very nice! very chill and the music was great. Wish the food was a bit more for the amount they charge. Live entertainment and just great vibes.
Nice lounge, I would say its relatively small compared to large clubs. They have hookah and good music. The only downside is that their kitchen closes too soon.
Absolutely horrible. The bouncer lied to me. Terrible place
Rude staff
The atmosphere was great. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the penne pasta and my husband had the pan seared chicken breast. Both are highly recommended.
Purchased a Groupon. Nice spot, nice ambience, friendly service. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was food quality. Was edible but wasnt the greatest. The steak I ordered medium rare came out small, black and tough. Salmon was a nice size but I think could have been seasoned more, being it was a middle eastern spot. Calamari same as salmon. I would recommend if you are into hookah and drinks, not so much for food. Well maybe I will visit again and order different plates and may have a different view....
First time attending the day party. Food was ok, bottle service very reasonable. Security was on top of things. Overall had a cool night.
I wanted a cool option uptown, but I’m pretty picky about where I hang out, but since I heard about LeReve through my modeling agency I figured I would give it a try. With excitement, i invited 3 of my girlfriends for a night out. We went to lereve around 8:30 and decided to start with dinner since we planned on drinking . We had the fish tacos, grilled chicken salad and lamb sliders. Everything was delicious. At about 10:30 the restaurant changed into a party and we happily joined our table. It was a fantastic night and I would definitely go back!
I went here to celebrate my Birthday with a few friends! They were more than accommodating they also had amazing food and drinks that were very affordable u like most Nyc clubs or lounges! I will go back and recommend people to this location!!
One of my favorite club night spot to go to Great location great food and drinks definitely easy access for cabs and all Subways the 6 the 5 and the 4 trains are all close by really great atmosphere beautiful location and interior! And some nights they have a really great belly dancer so it is worth checking out...
Won’t be going back to this place anytime soonWas at this restaurant last Friday for a Paint & Dine with some friends. First off, the manager over books another event where we were supposed to paint so a lot of moving around and very unorganized. The food was just as bad. A couple of my friends, including myself, ordered the lamb burger. Very disappointed because it was more a lamb slider. The lamb burger was half the size of the bun. Secondly, a friend ordered the beef sliders, and you wonder how you they can screw up this order, well they did. The sliders came out burnt and hard. She complained and they gave her another order free of charge. Why they even bothered, because one of the sliders were burnt and hard again. Then another friend ordered a Mediterranean chicken salad, and they come out with a salad with chicken and tomato’s. Mind you, this is a Mediterranean style restaurant and they don’t even know how to make their own salads. People, save your money and when you pass this restaurant, keep walking and find a better one.
Went here on a groupon for a friends birthday. Never given a menu , had to get up and physically ask for everything. Our table was close to the kitchen and they started cleaning with chemicals as we dined. We literally could taste the chemicals told the hostess and they did nothing. Food was cold, bland and lacked ordered chicken and mashed potatoes. Would never go again. Belly dancer was nice and interactive with crowd.
I celebrated my birthday brunch here recently ! I must say they really know service ! I was almost an hour late due to a wardrobe malfunction and they still tried their best in every way to accommodate my friends and I ! I personally want to give a shout out to Jordan !! He’s the best coordinator ever !!! He’s amazing and I want to thank him for making my birthday a special one . I would recommend this place to everyone . Don’t listen to all the mad reviews . My friends and I had an amazing time here. The food was great and I highly recommend the Henny punch 🍾🥂 good hookah . Great music
I went for a Sunday brunch. You definitely have to make reservations, but youll have a great time. We got there at 2pm and didnt leave until 8 or 9. Come for brunch and stay for the lit party
Nice spot! Food was good, service was good, music was good. I would go back again for brunch! My only recommendation is they add another hour to the brunch time.
I had the worst experience at this place for my birthday last night and I will never come back here again nor will I be recommending anyone to come here. First off I mad my reservations by phone a month in advance when I got the the manager who by the way has a very bad attitude tried to change the price of the package that I reserved not only that he tried to charge the people in my party even tho I brought a section. Also when we seated he still tried to rip me off my package includes 2 hookahs he tried to only give me one all night he was yelling and screaming like the diva he was when in fact I was the only diva cause it was my birthday the owner kept telling him to give me what ever I want which was what I made reservations for its is only fair on top of that the were ripping people off at the door charging $75 to get in and the lounge wasnt even full there bottle prices are ridiculous and the dj wasnt all that dont waste you time coming here if your looking to have a fun night wish I could of gave the no stars.
Never once had a bad experience here and the owner/staff are AMAZING. Seriously, they know how to make your special night play out perfectly. Highly recommend!!!
Has potential to be a lot better and 5 star I must admit. Food and drink were delicious , especially the food. Problem was that the service was extremely slow. Way too slow for me. I tried to order a second drink, and the waitress who took my order seemed to be serving everyone around me but somehow forgot about our table. The same waitress would come back later to ask how we were doing (by now everyone had finished eating and had empty glasses.)The food was really good hence the 3 stars. Hopefully they improve their service!
Best club in NYC hands down!!! Music is always on point, service incredible, and food out of this world! Cant wait to come again!
Great service very nice attitude of the servers. I have so much fun that night. I will come back 5stars for this place 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My sister & i came out 4 a evening together 💕💕
La Reve is a cute spot. The drinks are pricey and good!! You will dance alot during a visit, the djs play all kinds of music. The dress code is casual chic. Hookah is available also. Parking on Saturday nights especially is like finding gold. Mass transit is a better option
This is the worst place possible. Came here for a friends birthday and the bouncer kicked us all out while we were just standing and chatting. They gave us no explanation and then threatened us. If youre looking to do a birthday party then definitely dont come here.
Great Venue, people & atmosphere was Cool.
This is the most unprofessional establishment I’ve ever encountered. Security and host are the rudest individuals ever. The food and music is good but prepare for a headache at entry.
Wasnt impressed by this place, drinks were. Way over priced
Good food. Good music. Nice vibes overall
Cool place. Ridiculous hookah prices
Horrible service. From the time of making a reservation to the date of arrival every aspect felt peculiar. I reserved a TABLE for 2 weeks before (I’m from out of town so a reservation was imperative) and we were sat at the bar on the day of arrival. This was after they fought with individuals who were already at the bar because they wanted them to move to make room for people with reservations. First off, the bar, no matter where you are, should not be for people who put down a $100 deposit in advance. Unfortunately, there were other abscure events to happen (one of them being a drink spilled all over my friend) but I will chop it up to bad luck and stay focus on the most important issue. I am from Illinois where the temporary IDs are given out as paper. This was not an issue at the airport or the suites I stayed at. But once I got here it seemed like they didn’t know what to-do. So much so that they only handed me my credit card at the end of the night (when doing brunch they take ID and credit card) and told me they accidentally threw away my temporary ID... no big deal. So now because of them I am stranded in New York with no identification until further notice. Safe to say, I don’t recommend this place for out-of-towners, nor for brunch. Utterly disgusted.
Went for a Sunday brunch. Nice place but gets packed to the point the place gets overwhelmed. Had a party of 18-20 and reserved through PayPal as per instructed but the host wanted everyone to be there first before seated. A majority of the area was taken despite reservation and therefore many guests were left standing. Small space to eat (eating brunch on your laps) and some plates were delayed. Service was delayed, requesting hookah tips, extra drinking glasses or even the bill took extra wait time. Otherwise it deserved 4 stars, food was good, hookah good, music was fire, they had a football game on and it was a fun atmosphere. A little of everything for anyone.
Love this place! Great place to celebrate your bithday. Awesome DJs, amazing food, great customer service. I always have a blast when I go.
Its a kool spot to hang out & relax chill
Good place to smoke shisha and to eat something in the best ambience ever with good music too. Staff is so wonderful!! Definitely recommending!
I honestly feel like I wasted my money. Got the pasta that was a part of the fixed brunch menu. Pasta wasn’t fully cooked and it tasted like something I could’ve just made at home ... & I can’t even cook ....
Amazing atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
There was a little mix up with the reservations but it was fixed quick. The food and music was on point our waitress was cool but there was this one rude a$$ guy that snatched the hookah out of my god daughters mouth and took it to the bar without uttering a word.
Nice spot. Not to big but the females are in the place.
Dirty glasses and small tables; been here multiple times, different experiences. Must depend on the promoter. Drinks are not that good and neither is the food. The DJ is always decent and so is the hookah
I came here for an after party. 💃🏿💃🏿💃🏿🤣🤣🤣🤸🏾♀️ The DJ was phenomenal!!!!An equal balance of all musical genres to please the crowd and keep us going. He definitely knew what he was doing. Reggae, hip-hop, soca, bachata ,dancehall, R&B.
If youre not spending $1,000 in there they could care less about you
H O R R I B L E. First and last time I will ever visit this place. Went out to celebrate my best friends birthday and it was a disaster. The Bartender ASHLEY was a total b**ch with a very nasty attitude. The only time she had a smile on her face when when she received credit cards and cash. E V E R Y guest she “attempted” to provide service to complained about her. In addition to her being unable multitask I don’t believe bartending is the correct job for her. She is unable to make drinks and she has no type of customer service. Very pretty girl but the attitude she has will not get her very far In life. She does not know how to speak to customers nor take more than one order at a time. She had the nerve to tell me “I am busy what do you want me to do?” when I was trying to get her attention. This is not how you speak to your customers. Instead of saying it’s very busy please give me a second we are short staffed or something of that nature to show acknowledgement, she refused. I should not have to repeat orders multiple times and continue to be ignored whether it’s busy or not! This is unacceptable!!!! To make matters worse I am eating my food at the bar where there is a pitcher of Sangria she forgot to shut off leaking all over the bar, it surrounded my plate of food like a ship at sea. I called her numerous times to tell her and refused to even give me eye contact. When she is taking a order she blocks everyone out and ignores any other person. After several minutes the sangria began to drip off the bar onto my dress and she finally looked up I told her “ Look you’re so busy you didn’t even notice the sangria is spilling all over the bar table my dress is wet she glanced and said “That is not the reason, girl bye!” Then took another customer! After she received monies she then shut the pitcher off did not apologize, give me any napkins or say thank you for even telling her. I was so upset I immediately went to management who was very nice an assisted me with everything I needed and apologized for her. Customer service goes a long way and the place is actually very nice. I will not return to this place EVER. If I could give no stars I would.
Be aware that they’re Homophobic! They asked me to pay 3000$ to let my gay friend get in < even though we already paid for a table for 4 ppl.
Nice vibe they left us with the drink from our brunch, good music. I definitely had a great time.
Good venue. Good crowd. Good time.
Loved it...went on a Sunday....then again on the following Saturday had a BLAST each time would definitely go Again😍
Just went for a work outing. It was terrible. I did not try the food but ordered nearly a dozen drinks. None of them correct. I took an hour....literally timed it for my first drink. Each one had less and less liquor. The music had many pauses or moments where nothing was playing. Please dont waste your time. It took the entire night to order hookah. Nevere again.
Next time Ill ask for Kool-Aid, because that the quality of their drinks! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Brunch menu has very few items. Drinks during brunch are watered down 😣. Food is also mediocre. Cocktails (non brunch) are strong. Good DJ during brunch hours.
Went for Sunday brunch there and had a blast. The atmosphere was great along with the food and staff.
Some good looking woman drinks are pricey alot of younger people
Very lovely and lively place easy to mingle with new people and great food for cheap price
Love the food and belly dance show
Basic...food, drink, and service. 2 hour unlimited drinks also includes 2 hour table time. Regardless if youre done with whats on your table theyre start pushing you out. Tacky at best...for no reason.
Lovely venue and atmosphere. I attended an AI Event and loved it.
I celebrated my birthday here and spoke to tito about whether my friends would have to pay a cover to get it, and he claimed that everyone will be able to get in as long as they mention my name at the door. As soon as me and my 20 friends got there, around 1130 there was a nasty indian guy outside who asked all of my friends, including the girls, for 30 dollars because he said he was the door man and he decides who pays and who doesnt. The bar itself is absolutely amazing with great music, but paying a 30 dollar cover to get into a bar is ridiculous. Be careful if you plan on celebrating any event here, they will claim that they will let you and your friends in but they do not stick to their promises.
The food was under seasoned... but the drinks were great
1.The service is horrible, staff needs better training. 2. Tables are to small seats are low better off sitting on the floor 3. Dirty Dirty Dirty floors and tables are sticky glass had lipstick on it. Food and drinks were good for the price.
Went to Le Reve to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. Our reservation was for 4p party of 6. They had us online for no reason for more than half an hour made us late. Going in. Charlie the promoter who was at the door was very very very nasty and off putting. Got in they sat us by the coat check in the back away from the party. SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE, FOOD WAS MEDIOCRE TOOK FOREVER TO COME and CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HORRENDOUS. I tried numerous times to get our seating changed from the dungeon in the back. Also spoke to David the manager off the rip he was VERY NASTY ASWELL. AND SPOKE TO ME VERY AGGRESSIVELY AND DIDN’T CARE TO LISTEN TO ME. AND LASTLY BENJAMIN WHOEVER HE IS WAS NICER THAN THE OTHER TWO BUT HE ALSO DISCARDED MY CONCERNS. WE WERE GONNA BUY SOME BOTTLES it’s not like we were asking for another table just because. Granted it was packed in there but when we finally left after we ate we noticed they were giving tables in the main area to those just coming in. also I noticed there was tables that could of been used because I was gonna buy a bottle or two. David the manager told me that’s for people buying 5 bottles. I said well there are two ladies sitting at that big table and NO BOTTLES BEING BOUGHT. He quickly said a lie which was they waiting for the party to come in. I asked the girls who was sitting there they both said we are not together we not waiting for no one and we don’t even know each other. SMH! I don’t recommend this place. Spend ur money someplace else. The only good thing here was the music and the hookAh. Starting from the door our experience was ABYSMAL!!!!! POOR POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I FEEL THAT THIS KIND OF APPALLING SERVICE SHOULD BE PUT ON BLAST SO THAT NO ONE ELSE GOES THROUGH WHAT WE WENT THROUGH. Also, most importantly to better their customer service approach because without the customers there will be no business. My cousins birthday was RUINED!!
First time here for my birthday weekend and it was a nice place music was great
If you are used to great high quality service I do Not recommend to waste a single minute even thinking about going to this place.. attitude of the host was the rudest I ever seen from the moment we stepped in!!Not worth it to spend a penny if you are out to relax and have fun with style and good vibes!!And apparently it’s a club not even a restaurant!!
DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!! RUDE STAFF! BAD FOOD! DISORGANIZED! TOOK OUR STOOLS AWAY and made us STAND! If it wasnt my friends birthday, I would have left sooner!!! I went to Le Reve for brunch to celebrate my best friends birthday. I called the number on the flyer and RSVPd several days in advance. When I arrived to the venue the day of the event, the gentleman (I think his name was Charles) told me that he had no RSVP under my name. I showed him my text confirmation from the promoter and he told me do you have the person you spoke withs name? listen sweetheart, whenever your speaking to someone you should always get their name They said they were doing me a favor and would seat us anyways. The place was empty! Several empty tables available. Another guy (who was rude and was posing as a manager) takes over and seats us within about 15 minutes. We had brunch. The menu had very little options and the food was not good. This manager tells us that we need to move to the bar by 4 pm even though they did not seat us until 2:30 pm (thus, we only ended up with 1.5 hours of brunch instead of two) While we are at the bar, the manager comes over and asks us to give up our bar stools to people who are going to be ordering brunch at the bar at 4 pm. At this point, my friends had already ordered more food and my other friend had just arrived and ordered the unlimited brunch. We also ordered hookah. The manager says ITS MY FAULT. I SHOULD HAVE SAT YOU AT THE BAR TO BEGIN WITH INSTEAD OF GIVING YOU A TABLE. I WAS BEING NICE. NEVER AGAIN. YOUR NOT THE ONLY ONE SPENDING MONEY IN HERE. Could you imagine? There are 6 business women with me. I spent $150 alone. I am not sure how much my friends spent and this man wont even allow my friends and I to sit at the bar and finish eating, drinking and smoking hookah. I finally got in contact with the promoter whom I had RSVPd with and he told me that he called Le Reve and told them about my RSVP. When I asked this manager did he speak to the promoter, he said yes. So I asked him, why didnt he say anything to me about the fact that my RSVP was confirmed. Why didnt anyone apologize for the inconvenience? Why did he feel like he was doing us a favor when he confirmed with the promoter that I did in fact RSVP. Why did he tell us to move to the bar and then take our seats away when we are trying to finish our meals, drinks and hookah? DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. There are many reputable venues in NYC that have better customer service and food!
Friday night i had a blast. Great music and great hookah.
Nice atmosphere. The food is great but service can be delayed at times. Prob only issue I had.
Please DO NOT come here & spend your money. I’ve been to Le Reve several times on Saturdays & Sunday’s for their brunch/ day parties & it’s always been a good time . However the last two times I’ve gone the bouncers , in particular a bouncer that’s Spanish (I wasn’t able to get his name) has made my experience with coming here miserable & I will not longer be coming back. The last two times I’ve came here he has made up rules as a way to monitor who he lets in. Every time I noticed the people he wouldn’t let in we’re all black, in particular black females.I attended the brunch about three weeks ago & made a reservation through the restaurant which required me to put down a deposit . Upon arrival the same bouncer in particular had several females standing outside including myself saying that we couldn’t get in because our sandals didn’t have straps on it . Keep in mind this is the summer time. The website lists a dress code & no where in it does it state females MUST wear sandals that have straps on it. After going back and forth with the bouncer I stated we would leave but I would need my $100 deposit back. He told me that I couldn’t get it back and that I would have to wait until Monday to call back and speak with a manger about hopefully getting my money back. Excuse me ? After demanding to speak with someone else and the other set of bouncers intervening we finally were let in.Fast forward to today. This same bouncer was there and tells my bf & I that there’s a $50 minimum PER PERSON to enter for the day party that must be used at the bar . I’ve been to this venue numerous times and a tab was never required for the day party. When I said to him that on the ticket for the day party LE REVE advertised on Eventbrite doesn’t state this he says “yea idk why it says that, idk who posted that.” So we decided to walk off. When walking off we saw that he refused to let in a group of females in line behind us because one had on neon green shorts. Another guy was given a hard time because his white polo shirt didn’t have a logo on it. Once again no where in the dress code does it state these items were not allowed . PLEASE SAVE MONEY AND TAKE YOURSELF ELSEWHERE. There are plenty of other brunch/day party venues the city that I’ve received better treatment at . Please save yourself the hassle and do not come here.
Wonderful place!! I enjoyed myself!
Great place to come drink and smoke hookah and eat and party
The worst brunches I ever had. Served Eggos as waffles.......like seriously?? Very ghetto and tasteless food. Bartenders do not know how to mix drinks. They dont even know how to make bellinis. If you like decent brunches, then avoid going to this establishment.
Pretty cool atmosphere. recommended
Had so much fun here bringing m6 fiance here for his Birthday!
Love this place...drinks are good and its spacious. The vibe is really nice.
I had fun here. The dj, musics and environment was great.
Their hooka is good and service was great. Not much of a crowd though. Not exactly happening for a Friday night.
I give this place 2 stars. I came from Atlanta to celebrate my birthday in NY. When we arrived the security said they were closed until 11pm for part 2 of a party. With me coming from out of town I read the website and this was not stated. I did try to call before I came but no answer. Since this was my designated place I told all my family I was at I waited until 11 and came back. Once I got back I was asked did I have a reservation, no because your website does not say you need a reservation. They let us in eventually they said to sit at the bar. We get in and they bully you to check your coat for $4. We walk down the stairs to the bar and there I one chair. So you only can stand at the bar. $25 to stand at the bar. Was ready to just leave but at this point I’m invested $60 including my Uber ride. So I am going to ride this out. I look down at my phone and I have noooo cell service I still have people coming so I have to walk back up the stairs to get service. Once everyone arrived the rest of the night went well we made due with a corner by the bar. Music was good DJ NYCE mixed all the hits. The drinks were weak and overpriced.
We were out for a bacherlotte party and was told to come here after Hunkamania where the after party was. We waited in line for about 15 minutes where the bouncer kept disappearing and would come back and have us wait again to eventually he denied us entrance for what reason i dont know. No one was intoxicated or being wild. For all I know it couldve been lovely inside but because of the poor customer service outside and how rude they were not even telling us why we couldnt come in I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I suggest the owner of this place look into training their employees.
Horrible place . Security guard and manager was very rude .
Scam Artist. Went for a birthday party and was told they needed to hold a Credit card for all the guys, who had to pay 20 each to get in. They charged my Credit Card 400$ and when i confronted the manager the promoter was gone and the manager told me to call him the next day to resolve. Over 15 calls and a week later no answer. Will never go back and do not recommend. Wish i could give negative stars
Nice Moroccan club specially Wednesday and Sunday arabic nights
The chicken was unseasoned and the brunch drinks were trash.... music is good though
Amazing kebabs! Great atmosphere!
Great spot. just a little tight space.
Hookah is smooth, good music if you are into hip hop soda and Reggae
Really small. Mandatory coat check with fee. Food was not bad.
Nice place great musicHooka is great and smoothamazing staffI love itAbsolutely going back
It was so much fun we were here for the arabian night amazing singers and lots of funYou need to pay a cover charge when there is a singer
Excellent love the salmon sliders on the weekends
Food sucks. Drinks does nothing but gets you full. No buzz at all. Nice party schene tho
Terrible service and staff. They are extremely rude. For $45 a person for brunch, I would expect better service. I will not be patronizing them again.
Great place to go with your friends, the service is great and the hookah is even better!
Security sucks -- they wont let us crooks have our fun w/ the guns & live our lives w/ the knives. 😂 So leave that stuff @ home.
The service is horrible. I will not be returning.
Great food unlimited drinks and thm usic
