Altheas Hideaway Lounge, Nightclub & Rooftop

Recently was at the Althea for the July 4th celebration and I was very happy that I made this choice. The atmosphere was amazing! Very celebratory and with the great music. Hookah deserves separate shout out, very high quality and probably the best I had in years! Service, food, everything was outstanding. As a huge bonus the view of the fireworks. Will definitely book a table here if next year will be again on the Hudson side.

Wow! Just had the most incredible night at Althea’s Rooftop in Manhattan. The views were absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere was lively and vibrant, with great music and friendly staff. The cocktails were expertly crafted and delicious, and the food was top-notch. Whether youre a local or just visiting, this place is a must-visit for a memorable night out in the city!

The drinks are a must. I had 3 Drinks from the Menu. I loved Summer Love! It was refreshing. All the staff were welcoming and presentable. One of the bartender Rex,he was very handsome and nice. My friend was DJing, we had an awesome night of music,hookah,drinks,and good company. Place could use some decorations for sure.

Guys have to pay a $50 minimum spend no matter how many ppl are inside. We arrived with NO ONE there (Saturday sunset DJ event) Cocktails are $24 so yeah so you can meet the minimum, short of 3 drinks. The manager, Igor, kindly let our group in without the minimum spend but then when our guy friend arrived less than 15 after us, he wouldn’t make another exception. Sadly we would’ve maybe had a drink or two but it left a bad taste in our mouths. Inside is very clean, trendy, but small dance floor.

I had the best time at karaoke yesterday night. I will be coming back every Thursday when I am in NYC. I loved the rooftop views and good vibes from the people and staff, everyone was so nice!

Went there with my friends. Vibe was great! DJ on top! Nice view. We ordered two different hookahs and they were perfect. Drinks were absolutely incredible our bartender Andrew is probably one of the best in New York, very friendly and professional. Definitely will be back.

I went to Althea’s on a Thursday night for their karaoke night and it was a lot of fun!!! The crowd all participated and the energy was high. Definitely a very fun night. I will be coming boss and brining friends!

I had high expectations for this rooftop, but it was a huge letdown. The rooftop itself is incredibly small, and the TV they had for watching the fight was tiny – not what youd expect for a viewing event. To make matters worse, there were no seats available unless you wanted to pay $500 for a dingy, cramped couch section that felt far from luxurious.On top of that, the wait to get in was ridiculous. We stood at the door for 15 minutes because they don’t have a proper system to scan online tickets, forcing us to wait until someone manually verified them.Overall, this place is overpriced and underwhelming. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it for watching events or fights.

This is not a place to watch sports/fights. Bought a ticket & there were only about 3 small TV’s & little to no seating. They don’t have a scanning system for tickets purchased online, so you’re stuck waiting outside until someone from upstairs can confirm your tickets.If you come here for a chill vibe to drink, then that’s fine. But this is not a setting for sporting events/fights.For what the area offers, you can find a much better place. The Cantina Rooftop has a better overall service. They saved the night.

A nice vibe with a beautiful ambiance. Start of fall and despite it being a rooftop it was nice and cozy. Drinks are 10/10 and hookah is amazing too.

The staff is friendly , professional and attentive without being intrusive. Excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy a high quality hookah experience. Definitely recommended to everyone.

Great atmosphere love the music and especially female dj love it the layout is cool the theme and u can see the Hudson River across but best of all the bartender there pretty boys and helpful

Andrii was a lovely bartender, I had come alone and he made me drinks and chatted me up. A wonderful live singer performed and the vibe was in between club and vibey techno bar.

We spent a girls night out on Halloween night at Altheas Hideaway. The bartender, Benny, and the managing partner at the rooftop are very friendly. The vibe is also very nice! Highly recommend!

I especially love the fashion shows they host from time to time.

We reserved tickets at this restaurant to watch the fury vs usyk fight. When we arrived we were told we would be required to spend at least $500 to sit at a table. We were ready to buy food and drinks but not $500 worth. In response to this, we were then ushered to stand at the bar where there were no seats available. The employee we spoke with claimed he was “the owner of the bar and could do whatever he wanted”. We were treated with immense disrespect and hostility. We will never return.

Really cool place. I went here to watch UFC fights on a Saturday night with my friends. The whole staff was nice and drinks were also very good. Highly recommend this place.

I came through to photograph a headliner Dj this past weekend. I loved the vibe and friendliness of the staff especially the female bartender and the view from the roof was great!

Althea’s rooftop is it’s own world! I highly recommend going from your picnic to this rooftop and people watching.Not only are the drinks very well done and made to measure, but the staff is excellent. From the doorman to the bartenders to the djs. Rex was an excellent host and convinced us to stay much longer than we anticipated.The DJ Solid Spark was playing every song you want to hear while enjoying cocktails. You can both dance to his beats or just lay back and enjoy the view.Hookah is available as well and it is strong and well done. You can not go wrong once you are in this establishment. A fun time will be had no matter what!Go here any day of the week and preferably during the day and have the time of your life!

NYC prices but not NYC vibe. The place looks cheap and was pretty much empty. Drinks are overpriced and water down. There are way better places to go out in the city.

This place is run by an owner who operates a strip club downstairs. I was initially supposed to do a video for them, but when I discovered the strip club affiliation, I told him I wouldn’t promote it because strip clubs don’t treat women well. Instead of saying, “We don’t,” he responded with, “They CHOOSE to work here.” Well—I choose to write this review!

This summer rooftop is the perfect spot for a chill, a nice evening on the West side of Manhattan. The drinks are amazing, the hookah is great and flavorful. Also they have cool DJs and interesting crowd. Must visit

Bartender was rude, didn’t want to serve us water. And $14 for a miller lite? And watered down drinks for $25? You gotta be kidding me. The DJ on Sunday was amazing though.

Althea’s Hideaway is truly magnificent hideaway right in the heart of New York City the views are immaculate. The staff is warm, they have small bites, which are truly delicious. The ambience is lively. Great music a site to see. If you’re looking for a great cocktails, wonderful views and jumping music, I would definitely suggest checking this spot out.

Fraudulent Eventbrite listings they dont honor at gate.Update: Ive tried contacting the event organizer using Eventbrite before posting this review. While the owner asked me to email them on this thread, they have not responded to any of my contact attempts.Update 2: sent another email to the address listed on their website. Will see if we get any response. Either way, it is unclear why they wont respond to communications on Eventbrite channels, the place used for the ticket.

My friend and I wanted to check this place out. We both reserved for the same time however we got two very different text messages. She was asked to confirm what time she wanted the reservations while I got a message saying I needed to spend $1000min due to a special event happening. Im not sure if it was my name on their forum to reserve a spot but it seems they pick and choose who to demand a min spend. I will never spend a dollar at this place

Was so disappointed. Came here for an event, guys had to pay $50 minimum.It’s a rooftop by the water but had no views. The food is overpriced and the space is tiny. The area is a bit uncomfortable too. Won’t come here again.
