Our favourite spot in NYC especially on game day! Food was grea, staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is great. Came back the day after the match and although quieter it was still as enjoyable. See you when we come back! YNWA
This is a brilliant bar and a must for any self respecting LFC supporter who finds themselves in NYC.The Irish breakfast is a perfect way to start the day, topped off with a nice libation. The atmosphere and decor is brilliant, with so many pieces of Liverpool memorabilia to enjoy.Niamh behind the bar is awesome, so warm and friendly and a total credit to the bar.
I come to this bar all the time & the customer service keeps getting drastically worse. They don’t care for customer satisfaction, they refuse to open additional rooms as they have multiple available, the food crew serving is so spiky and have much attitude and almost to a level of yelling at their customers. Liverpool is a good cult and an fan of the team but this bar is horrible and not worth the price. I come from Greenpoint, BK to be here and it is always a shitshow, they make customers’ experience so terrible, leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
Great NYC spot, good drinks, atmosphere, good folks. Definitely worth checking out
Great place if you are Liverpool supporter, Premier League fan or just football lover. Great atmosphere at games, also good good, beers, hamburgers, fries. Service really good. I recommend this place as Liverpool supporter.
Great place for traditional bar food and drinks. Atmosphere is nice and HUGE. I like that they provide stool seats or regular seats to choose from. And some areas have booths. Very spacious and clean bathrooms. Lunch was basic but pretty tasty. Stick to the burgers and fries. Burger was made how I wanted and was very juicy but chargrilled around the edges. Just perfect.
So as a scouser visiting New York, it so happened that Liverpool were playing Newcastle whilst there, so we booked an early afternoon table at Carraghers. Was decent, lots of tvs although some were blocked by excitable patrons but thats what you expect.Food selection (I thought) was a little thin but was OK burgers etc. The food was ok but I would remind the chef to make sure the fat is hot enough before immersing the potato chips or they come out greasy like mine were. Merch was good but outta my price range sadly. Was a good overall experience, attentive service and a decent atmosphere. Would recommend to visiting Liverpool fans to watch the match. Four of us cost $160 with meals and a couple of beers each.
The vibe was amazing! I had so much fun. Karaoke is my release from daily life and it did not disappoint. The method used to get on the list to sing was most definitely an upgrade. Kudos 👏🏼 to you, great job! The bartenders were equally great 👍🏼 👌🏼 I will go again and recommend!!!
We came, we seen and we left disappointed.. Obviously living off the name of the defender Carragher.. Drinks n food OK... Dont know what all the fuss was about!
Located just a few minutes away from our hotel, there is a great variety of draft beers to choose from. The burgers are delicious and packed with flavor. We’ve been stopping by every evening—sometimes just for an Absackerbier, as we Germans say, instead of a full meal. Come experience it yourself; the real test is in the tasting.
Ok pub. Service was good. Drinks were pricey for a glass 2/3 ice. I just went because I am a Liverpool FC fan. I wanted to watch the Barcelona game but they had the jukebox playing over the tv sound and there was no match commentary.
Great big space, food is pretty good, lots of places to hang with friends. Only issue is karaoke ends at midnight. But service is always great!
There is Liverpool memorabilia throughout the bar. We only sat downstairs so unsure of what they have on the higher floors. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, good size portions. We were really hungry and ate half the meal before I thought to snap a picture.
Huge LFC fan so went there with my family as part of our short NYC visit. Ordered a drink while we waited on my meal, which never came. Food was cold and the fish portions were tiny. Food was a touch greasy too. Was billed for the drink that never came but the staff rectified this. On the plus side the decor was stunning and it was a lively venue.
We loved this place. Great service, very good food, and the atmosphere was excellent.
My gf and I waited an hour for food so I cant give it any higher than a three. I would though if that werent the case. The drinks are good, and the food is better. The steep prices are justified by large portions. The atmosphere was very fun too, watched the 2019 Womens World Cup there. The soccer theme is well executed, even down to the hilarious soccer urinals!! Would come back for another match.
This is a perfect bar to catch up at days end with friends/co-workers. The bar, as the name suggests, is a tribute to Liverpool FC Club. The decor and setup is extremely well done that would be appreciated by any soccer fan. The drinks with decent Beer selection, as well as the food choice is good. Overall a cool place that should be on every Soccer Fans must visit bar list.
Ya cant equal the electrifying atmosphere and the camaraderie youll experience.... Carraghers is a lovely UK sports pub as well as a Liverpool supporters pub. All are welcome and all matches are shown! The beautiful combination of a staff that is committed and caters to their patrons to ensure they have a great sports pub experience, plus patrons that are looking for something magical ... Well, than thats a match winner, made in heaven!YNWA... Jeff visiting from Texas and my guy Grant, who was visiting from Brisbane!YNWA!
I have to say that this was our favorite place to come to New York. The people were very nice to us and our favorite pero son was Khan. If you come to lower Manhattan you must come to Carraghers! The food, the ambience and the service were 100% how they should be! My family loved it and I was also able to come and enjoy it on my own. Loved it till the end.
Called for a drink and were promptly served by a helpful lady but on returning to the bar for another round I was repeatedly ignored by the bartender and ended up leaving. Good selection and venue but let down by poor service.
Short stay NYC, but this was on my list of places to go.. Cant wait to go back, hopefully on a match day !!
Lovely place for food and drinks very nice staff and if your a Liverpool fan its a must do experience if your in New York
The most brilliant Liverpool football club pub Ive been to outside of Liverpool! Plus, the mighty Reds won 9-0 when I went for breakfast!
Love this bar, it’s AWESOME!If you’re going for a match screening, make sure to get there early coz it gets fully packed p quickly
Wouldn’t recommend the place. Didn’t have food, but service for drinks was substandard and there was a bad smell in the pub that grew during our stay prompting us to leave.
Cool, basement bar, large area with plenty of seating, TV screens, pool tables. Friendly service, good food and drink. A bonus if you are a fan of Liverpool football club as it has lots of memorabilia around the walls as it was named after their famous footballer Jamie Carragher.
We were so excited to watch Belgium Italy game here, but I am very very disappointed. The waitress guided us yo the 2nd floor where no one was sitting, although there were seats downstairs where people were watching the game.We requested to sit at the bar, she agreed but asked us to sit at the corner although there were seats in the middle. There is even one empty seat next to us but she doesn’t allow us move our chairs. You can see where she seated us!
For drinks is great, to sit down please consider other alternatives. 25+ for 6 regular beers and 40+ for basic fare. Too long a wait sorry not coming back for dinner
Best place in NYC to watch a Liverpool game. Food is great service was great and plenty of big screens. Commentary is also on over the speaker system so can hear very clearly. Highly recommended.
One of the best sports bars in the city! The atmosphere was great, the food was great, and the staff was so accommodating. Despite it being a busy day, I want to thank Mike for going above and beyond for my boyfriend and I visiting from Canada. I also want to thank the female bartender I didn’t catch her name but she was so sweet and patient with us too!
Phenomenal to watch Liverpool games. Get there early and wait until the Guinness is pouring then get stuck in. Don’t get a pitcher like a Lunatic.
Amazing place and staff! Lovely food served quickly even when busy! Excellent atmosphere game day!
Came just to grab a drink for a friends birthday. Definitely a great pub ambiance and huge for new york. Apon arrival there was a pungent smell that hit us. Smells like years of spilled alcoholic beverages on the floor and other body fluids. Id recommend a deep mop cleaning but other than that it was a good vibe.
Carragher’s is a great Irish sports bar with plenty of TVs and solid food that doesn’t disappoint. With a pool table! Carragher’s offers a fantastic experience for groups, boasting a diverse menu featuring burgers, sandwiches, and classic American dishes. Nestled within a sports pub adorned with wooden accents and a soccer theme, it also features a shop where Carraghers merchandise, including hats, scarves, and shirts, is available for purchase. Ideal for accommodating large gatherings and offering a wide variety of enjoyable eats!Must eats are the burger, disco fries (gravy and cheese), and the jumbo pretzel. You really can’t go wrong with the menu though. This place is perfect to watch sports if you’re downtown near city hall or the seaport.
Great spot for some chilled drinks in NY. Awesome music, friendly bar staff and a really lovely atmosphere all helped along with some fascinating memorabilia. A must visit for any LFC fans but most definitely not limited to soccer fans.
Good place for quick bite and catch up. Live sports channel.. attentive bartenders
Epic viewing of the World Cup final! The atmosphere was vibrant, the food was great, and the service phenomenal.
The beer was chilled and good but you expect that in an Irish bar. The prices are high and the snacks are OK.Great ambiance and good for large groups of sports fans
Surreally this is a Jamie Carragher theme bar in downtown Manhattan. As with most New York pubs it has a vague Irish theme too (or at least the American idea of what an Irish pub is, not really close to the real thing). Guinness is some of the best in NYC recently, and food is pretty good pub stuff which hits the spot on a cold rainy winter day. Loads of TV screens showing sport too. The best reason to visit though is if youre a Liverpool fan and want to see some Carra memorabilia. Unfortunately they did let Gary Neville in recently, so could do with reviewing their door policy .
A couple of minutes away from our hotel here we find a broad variety of drafted beers. The burgers are excellent and very tasty. We have been here every evening - not always for dinner sometimes only for an - as we call it in German - “Absackerbier“. 😉Come here and do the proof of the pudding.
Travelled to New York from Liverpool and had to take a look. Great atmosphere, staff where really friendly and surprisingly knowledgeable about Jamie and the team in general. We had the Daglish pizza with fries, a burger and bottle of red. Total bill was $91 plus 20% tip which was truly deserved.
Been wanting to visit for years but let down when I finally made it. Must be nice a local pub for some but I found the staff unfriendly, the beer stale and the food was terrible.
We came for the championship match of US open men’s final and well I would say the food was not bad, especially the burger and fries, juice and fresh. But the service/TV arrangement really wasn’t the best experience we have had so far…there was a NFL match going on at the same time and the TV screens are just messed up. They tried to do half half but then something went wrong and it went out for a while and then back… everyone was questioning about the TV arrangement. I guess they could have managed it better in the first place arranging tables/seats based on customer preference.
Carraghers offers the vibrance of Times Square without the overwhelming crowd or tacky tourists. Across my pillars of a robust sports bar experience—atmosphere, food and service—it truly excels. Adornments are relatively upscale, TVs are abundant and never out of sight, and the staff is attentive and eager to accommodate. While you certainly pay for it at $18, the homemade veggie burger is among the best in the city, and one of the few served in a lettuce wrap.Carraghers high-end experience justifies its high-end price for one of the best values among New York City sports bars.
Great pub in the heart of NYC, full of Carragher memorabilia. Good food and drinks. The staff couldnt be more polite and helpful. You can buy souvenirs from badges to scarves etc. Jamie actually bought us a drink, what a legend. Totally recommend to anyone from singles to couples or families. You cant visit NYC and not go to Carraghers bar.
Delicious food and good selection of beers. Friendly, atmospheric sports bar / gastro pub with pool table.
Had to stand for matchday but how could I expect different. Great Irish coffee. Lost 1 nil but Champions league final is whats important. Picked up a postcard and caught a bit of the Mo Salah song. Will come back next time theres a game and Im in NYC. Cheers YNWA!
An overpriced tourist trap. Food bang average with extortionate prices. Dont go near this place if youre a match-going LFC fan visiting New York. Charging supporters $50 entry for a match (not even guaranteeing a seat, or including food or drink, and imposing a further $40 minimum spend per person). Can see the slight appeal for those cringey American soccer fans wholl never go to Anfield in their lives, but swerve it otherwise. Much better places to watch a game and not get ripped off.
Amazing atmosphere, lots of screens. Food is great and so is the service. Make sure you book in advance if coming for a Liverpool game (bookings released 2 weeks before the game)
Its Liverpools home bar in New York city. Located downtown in the financial district, it is a great place to catch live football (soccer) matches esp Liverpool games and they will open early in the morning for games. You get a game day menu and serves good breakfast. Plenty of Liverpool memorabilia decorating the place esp those of Jamie Carragher. You may catch him there sometimes with other football stars. The place is in a basement occupying 2 basements and is large with 2 bars and dining area. Plenty of seats.
Im a Cockney and a West Ham fan, but my wifes a Scouser so we ended up in here for the Liverpool v Napoli Champions League game. Service was quick, atmosphere was loud and begrudgingly have to say a top place to watch sport in NYC
As a Liverpool FC fan, this was a must visit for me. This bar has an extensive menu for food and beer and this is a busy place because both are excellent. I will definitely return to Carraghers.
This is a fantastic bar. Great service, great drinks, and good food. The drinks are consistent and not watered down like some other places in NYC. This is a vodka blackberry/blueberry cocktail.
Great pub, food, atmosphere & owned by a footballing legend!
Just be prepared for your reservation to be missing, to be chased through the space because you should be “next door,” the kegs to not be set correctly and to chase down your own cutlery. Otherwise, cute place!
Dipped in for a quick drink, nice lively atmosphere. Great for the British palette. Not so good for Everton supporters 😉
Place was okay, but the tiny doorman was an a hole, said that if ur only there to watch football and have non-alcoholic drinks it’s no place for u because it’s a bar and otherwise your just loitering… i think personally it should be okay to buy something else at noon… but anyways… so a place build on a good idea and the other day i was there it was an amazing atmosphere and a nice doorman but yeah
Great food in a great location. A must for Liverpool FC fans!!!
This is a nice bar, we had dinner here with our kids. Servers were super nice. I didnt have any drinks, food was good although a little bland. They treated our kids with some pretty fancy ice creams deserts and they loved it.
Top place for LFC supporters and premier league games all round! Jamie Carragher also has a minor stake in it if you havent noticed by the name
Very big place. Great for meeting up with friends or hosting parties. It’s down a bunch of stairs and don’t think there is wheelchair or stroller access but could be wrong. It’s a lot of stairs to the basement. Decent beer menu. I remember it being a much bigger beer list. Food is always very good bar food. Great lunch and after work crowd. One of the few places in the Financial District that’s open late.Always playing European Sports which is nice. A rough guess is 30-50 beers on the menu which is an impressive amount but the old menu had a lot more. A great diverse crowd from construction workers, to businessmen, to college students, to tourist.
Great spot to watch a game! Food and service was meh. I ordered the fried pickles (way too salty) and Caesar salad (tasted like a creamy balsamic vinegar). Had to find someone to be seated for the reservation. It’s just a verrrrrry relaxed atmosphere with great beer and surround sound! 👍
Typical Irish pub in the financial district, nice atmosphere and local people.
Just got off the phone with someone at Carraghers. They very rudely railroaded the conversation and without hearing me out pointed me to their IG page and then abruptly hung up. I despise those moments when people just assume that they know what you are going to ask. Im disappointed because I wanted to take my scouser friends there. We will be going elsewere.
Phenomenal Liverpool bar packed with authentic supporters. Carra’s offers a truly unique game day atmosphere. Owners and staff are committed Liverpool fans. Service is excellent and so is the food. YNWA!
Watched the UFC here. Great service, good prices and very comfortable.
The artichoke/spinach dip is awesome! And whatever sauce they have in the quesadilla is yums!! Sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and fast!
Cute & diverse vibe. The service & atmosphere was great, but I was disappointed by the Shephards pie... it was huge but tasteless. The wings & burger were good, and my daughter enjoyed her quesadilla.
Even as an Evertonian, I was curious to try this place out and it didn’t disappoint. Good bar food and a gorgeous pint of Guinness. Hopefully I’ll be there next time when Everton win the Merseyside Derby 😄
Great Irish bar in lower Manhattan. The menu is vast and they can cook everything very well. If youre hungry, this is the spot as the serving size is up to par. If youre looking for a place that knows how to pour a great Guinness then look no further.
If youre looking for an incredible dining experience, head to Carraghers and ask for Khan! His warm greeting makes you feel right at home, and his stellar service ensures that your visit is truly memorable. The food is absolutely delicious, and Khans attentiveness adds that extra special touch. He definitely deserves a promotion! Carraghers is a gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a fantastic meal and exceptional service!
I went on a Sunday morning to watch the Manchester United vs. Liverpool match. I thought I arrived early enough but the place was jam-packed with Reds fans. I have never ever had such a fantastic time. Even though its quite ample, this bar has warmth and charm. In spite of how crowded it was, I was served well. I cannot wait to go back. Cheers!
Best place to grab food and drinks. This is definitely going to be my go to for every celebration. Keep up the good work!Pro tip: Order King Khan’s Pina Colada thank me later
Was really looking forward to this for my birthday meal, being a Liverpool fan and travelling all the way from Liverpool for it, I was left extremely disappointed by the standard of the food itself. Dry and Bland. Atmosphere was good and the staff nice enough but food a big no.
A great bar to unwind. Brilliant Guinness too!
Great service and staff. Spacious pub with a great atmosphere and choice of drinks/food. Would recommend to any football fan during match days and anyone looking for a pleasant drink/meal.
Decent atmosphere, especially since it was the only bar we could find nearby.Food was at best average and very bland. Steak was tough. Cheese and mustard dips were watery (?) and bland. Bartenders polite, but managers couldnt care less.
Great pub for EPL soccer watching on Saturday or Sunday mornings. Live music and great food !
Brilliant friendly pub. Even my wife whos a Utd supporter enjoyed it.
Great meeting spot downtown for food/drinks. Staff is great! Many of the patrons are locals.
Our 3rd visit here. Excellent food and drinks. Very helpful staff and friendly atmosphere.
Not sure how we found this place, but so glad we did. Steak was superb and the service was excellent. A must for any steak lover especially if youre a Liverpool fan.
Food was great! I had the pork chops, my bf had the Gaelic burger. It is a bar restaurant do expect the bar smell. And basement smell.. however they have good ventilation.
Great place. Fantastic food with hearty portions. Good selection of beers and the girls even had some champagne ! Would be brilliant to be there when theres a matchon. A must do for any LFC fan when in NYC. You can even hold up Big Ears.
Awesome place. Love that they opened at 6:30am for the Kickoff of Premiere League 24/25 season with the Liverpool vs Ipswitch match. Eggs Benedict were awesome, and wings were great too. Great atmosphere for a Liverpool fan.
Quiet when we visited. Staff friendly, food good. Lots of memorabilia on wallsGreat if youre a Liverpool fan.
Called in to watch the LFC WHU match. The negative is that they don’t accept Apple Pay and I had come out without my wallet or any cash. I only discovered this little issue as I swallowed my first mouthful of the finest bottled lager from the Netherlands.Josh, the Liverpool fan from Denver, very kindly paid for my bottle and then, later on, the exceptionally pleasant Irish bar lady gave me a second with instructions to “pay it forward”. A great bar, especially if you’re a Liverpool fan, just make sure you bring some cash or a card.
A great place to watch a Liverpool game as you would expect, but great for any other soccer or sports as well. Good was good and lots of options, drinks were flowing thanks to the attentive staff. Been a few times and will be back soon.
My friend is a huge Liverpool fan so this place was a must visit during our time in New York. (Shame we just missed the champions league final). The food options were extensive and the restaurant itself was very lively and enjoyable. The meal itself was delicious which I wasnt expecting. The upstairs bar options were very enjoyable and the staff gave us lots of advice for where to go after Carraghers. Highly recommended.
Great experience. Food and service were excellent.
What an amazing experience! Simply fell in love with this bar. Watched a Liverpool match and the place was packed with supporters. The atmosphere and vibe was truly amazing. Drinks and food was on par and worth it. Staff were brilliant. Absolutely the best time!
Great food, great atmosphere, and most importantly the best bartenders in Fidi! Great place to watch soccer, it’s a Liverpool bar, but they play every game.
I got the French dip, it was OK but nothing special. Husband had the Irish breakfast and was very happy with it. This place is surprisingly big and its clean and the staff were very attentive
The food was good, although not many options. However for breakfast at 10:30 am they were blasting music like it was 10:30 pm and it was extremely uncomfortable and not the place to have a nice relaxing breakfast. The champions league trophy was awesome.
Great bar to relax with friends and to watch boxing matches or sporting events. The security guards are welcoming and do their job well. The service is very very slow. I understand it is busy but check on your customers at least hourly. I would have ordered more stuff if I was check on hourly. In addition one time the DJ was blasting music while the entire bar was booing him. Don’t blast music during a boxing boxing. This was during the pac vs Thurman fight. The bar is avoidable and the food is tasty.
Lovely bar, bang in the middle of a crazy busy city. Must visit if youre anywhere near, even more so if youre a red.
Good beers on tap. Games are always on. Plenty TVs allover. The bar is has plenty of space. I think they also have a rooftop section thats only open weather willing.Typical afterwork crowd but not loud.Going to try the food soon.
4 hours before kick off and buzzing already - I couldve been in the Sandon or the Park - fantastic service and great food - a must visit for any Liverpool fan
This place treats their customers like family. Staff welcomes you and they are super attentive. The food is so good, I go there for the soups and the beers but everything is amazing, From the Staff, to the music, to the decore, food and drinks. If you are a sports fanatic, also there are TVs to watch your sports. This place has it all. Lets not forget Spring time, The roof top. Love the happy our and the crowd so much fun.
The atmosphere was wonderful and made watching the match really enjoyable. Sadly we felt let down by the food and the extortionate tip we paid for what was not exceptional or excellent service. The kebab was so salty it was impossible to eat. My husband told one of the male servers who said there was nothing wrong with it and just walked away. A lady came over a couple of seconds later and listened to my husbands concerns and said she would speak to the manager. Eventually they agreed to take take the kebab off the bill (only 4 bites were taken it was that inedible). To be hit with a $14 tip after the way the male server behaved is not fair to the customer
Good American food,drinks & service.Big pub,spacious.
Stopped in to watch the second half of a Liverpool match and the place was packed with loud and fantastic fans! A wonderful experience that any Reds fan should be part of if in The City.Nice decor and some memorabilia. Two levels and quite large. This will be a fantastic location to watch World Cup matches this summer.
Visited here many years ago thought we would stop off and have a few drinks as it was hubbys birthday...Eileen is a brilliant barmaid and an all rounder, making all customers feeling welcome.
Great place for Liverpool fans to catch a game. Good selection of beer and food. Will be packed for big games
I have been here twice. Once in winter while waiting for my friends to join for dinner. I had just finished shopping at Macys and stopped here for glass of wine. The wine was good. I later left my shopping bag here and they were sweet enough to store it for me. The second time was with colleague after work. We sat on rooftop bar. The drinks were served in plastic cups which was not a great choice for Moscow mule. The drink however was good. It took quiet a while for our appetizer to arrive. I recommend the rooftop in summer after dark.
Terrible customer service. Waiter basically took our order and then disappeared for the duration of our meal. No one checked back on us at all. Our meal was incomplete and we could not get it corrected because no one bothered to stop by our table to even see if we needed refills on our drinks. I’ve never been to a restaurant (much less one considered a sports bar) where you could not order a second drink. I would never recommend this establishment. In a city like New York, plenty of other options are available for comparable mediocre and over-priced food. No one should have to tolerate such terrible service as well.
Came here a few times during our week in NYC. Once just for drinks during a Liverpool match and once again for food and drinks. Both times were pleasant, my wife and I enjoyed it and with her being a Liverpool fan this was an added bonus. One star docked though as it is very expensive for what is essentially just a regular bar, and a 20% tip being automatically added to our bill when we ate.
Aileen was amazing!! Changed our plans to come here for the Liverpool v. Man U game, and it was worth every minute ❤️
An absolutely fine establishment. I havent eaten there yet but Ive had a few assorted beverages and enjoyed every last drop. Service is too notch..Cheers .
Regardless of being a Liverpool die hard fan this bar has a great atmosphereFood was great and service was speedy. Highly recommend this bar.
Liverpool bar! Youll never walk alone here.
Good atmosphere during LFC matches. Excellent feature- operating even when the match is on funny US time. Been there at 07:30 Saturday morning. Bar was full!
Had two visits so far whilst staying across the road. Great bar, with a nice atmosphere. Beer and food have been very nice.
A historic experience for me, my buddy who is a Liverpool super fan highly recommended it! It was a blast! The pub setup is cozy, artistic and colorful! We watched the FA final between Liverpool vs Chelsea! The spectacle was through the roof, the chants, the energy and excitementIt was one of the Greatest memories in NYC! The bartenders were so kind and welcoming, the food was incredibly good! A must visit and I’ll definitely come back
Probably the most bearable out of the generally unbearable midtown bars. Service was pretty good, there’s a good happy hour, the food wasn’t good. You’re still going to get a few people that get so hammered to make themselves feel better about going back to Long Island or Jersey, but not as many as Stout or somewhere else of the like.
Great place good company and a must If in New York city
Spilled half of my Beer, got refilled to half for free.Met people from all over the world and had a great time.10/10 would recommend!
First impressions are important. Looks and feels like a true IRISH PUB. Unfortunately beer was not cold 🥶 but service so far has been what is expected from a pub. 😂😂😂 no complaintsAppetizer was actually pretty good 👍🏻 was impressed with fried pickles they were not greasy at all.My dinner came out and I did not know what to expect. I ordered mixed seafood plate with rice and veggies and I was extremely surprised by it. Again I live in Miami and I lived in Atlanta and pub food is not the best unless you order chix- wings but so far very impressed. Definitely not a Bistro quality but not your regular bar food either.I sat at the bar and the bartender was extremely helpful and courteous. Not very common in NYC.Based on today’s experience I will recommend this place to friends and family.By the way Bartender Lían chilled the beer glass for me and that changed the whole experience. Thank you very much for going the extra mile.
Drinks were horrible, had to ask server for our bottle of water. Chicken was good though. Cool atmosphere. Just needs better servers who rather cater to guess than have personal conversations
Your run of the mill pub, the drink choices are a little bit less than what I would have expected and then food choice was relatively lack luster. That aside, the staff was very friendly behind the bar and the atmosphere was very nice, not too crowded and relatively calm. I wanted to like this place more, but unfortunately it just doesnt really stand out among the many other options around you in the city, especially in midtown.
Really nice food with reasonable prices.
Great bar. Not too crowded good atmosphere. Bartenders are great and give good service. Sliders hit the spot when drinking. Fries are okay. Music not too loud males a good place to socialize.
Visited whilst travelling. My travel party had a big-time football fan who thoroughly enjoyed the memorabilia and decorum. The fare was of good quality and the service had a pleasant small-town feel in a rather horrifyingly large city. I wouldnt walk though Times Square again, but Id definitely grab a bite a Callaghars.
In experience good bar food, great atmosphere and service and drinks
Food was delicious. We had the sliders and roast beef sandwich and would order both again. Bar downstairs was extremely loud from a boxing match and upstairs you couldn’t hear any of that sound.
Best place in the USA to watch Liverpool games!! Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, just the best time always at Carragher’s
Food great, service excellent. Old big ears - priceless...
Pleasant first visit during an expectedly quiet part of the day. Friendly staff, reasonable food, no complaints.Second visit I was served a pint of lager that was as flat as a pancake. They replaced it and it was still flat. Was told, in effect that beer is different in the US and that I was making a fuss about nothing. Unlikely to return.
UPDATE REVIEW: Everything has been resolved. Management were finally able to get in touch with me and were very helpful. One of the best sports bars to hang out in the city, hands down.Gonna be there for the finals. HYPE!!__________________________________________________________________OLD REVIEW BELOWThe place is great but management is starting to seem sketchy and okay with wrongdoings, sadly. Theyre basically okay for doing something wrong to their customers.Went there for the Liverpool v Roma 2nd leg. Had a blast. Its always a good time there when theres a match on.Fast forward to a couple days later. I see my credit card was charged $60 for that day there. My bill was only $20 plus a $4 tip.I actually understood that this accidentally happened. Like, I tipped $4. Bartender probably typed in $40. Its fine. An honest mistake on a busy day.I called the bar. Spoke to a manager. Told him what happened. He said Ill get a call the next day.Nobody called me the next day.So I called again the following day.I spoke to another manager. Explained my situation and what has happened so far. He did the same thing. took down notes and told me I would receive a callback about this issue.I never got a callback. Now, I try and call the bar again and nobody picks up the phone anymore.Ive tried a few times and nothing. I even left a voicemail. No response. So here I am. Almost two weeks later since the incident. Putting up this review just to give people a heads up.I like going there but this behavior of the management cant go unnoticed. My review will remain 1 star until this issue is fixed.
Good plate of food for a reasonable price considering youre in Downton NY. Great atmosphere on the day we visited because Liverpool were playing in the Champions League semi finals 👍🏽🏆
Was a a fav spot. Seems to have gone down a bit from when it was American Irish.Friwnd ordered BBq wings. They brought Buffalo. They fixed it by coTing buffalo wings w bbq sauce instead of making a fresh batch.
On holiday in New York.. Had to find this pub as Liverpool were playing in the champions league... Fantastic atmosphere, great food & drink... Big rooms with tvs everywhere so not to miss anything. Loved it 😍
Not to busy when we were in. Bar staff were nice polite and helpful.Food not to great. Sausage roll was made with terrible dough and seemed like it sat in a plate of fat as the bottom was so soggy and soaked in fat it made it unenjoyable. Being associated with British celebrity why oh why are the chips (fries) small tiny American things?2nd visit not impressed either time
You have to go here! Went to watch the red men when in nyc, absolutely packed to the rafters with Liverpool fans! The whole pub is like one in Liverpool Town, the draft beer is top notch and the food here is good too. The menu is name after everything scouse. Little home from home for us! Will go back 100%. It has all sorts of footy on not just lfc so well worth a visit.
As a tourist, this place was great. Near Times Square, but it doesnt feel like it. The food was fast, tasty, and a good price. Staff was friendly and there are TVs everywhere, even some at your table! And the drinks flowed! Cant wait to go back next time Im in town when I need something in the area !
Great spot to enjoy an adult beverage and great pub food. Bonus points when watching the mighty REDMEN lay waste to their opposition. YNWA
Even though its moved location, this is the best place to watch Liverpool FC in New York. Great food and beer and competitive prices too. The family loved it, the footy helped 😜
Nice friendly place. Being a fellow liverpudlian it was nice to see memorabilia from our football team. Expensive drinks i must add
I visited here early April for the much hyped (on their instagram page) Man U game. Despite being told almost all tables had been pre booked when i called the day before the game, upon arriving and at the commencement of the match….lots of tables where free and remained so all game. Bearing in mind the fee to reserve the table, is just that (ie, a non refundable element that does not come off your final bar and snd food bill), and was not even required….no two doubts about it, i was ripped off. To top it all off, toilets where dirty, the place smelt old and damp. Its well worn also. Place needs a deep cleanse and touching up. Food was OK, but service not the best. Even though i visit New York regular to see my daughter, I never went back nor will in the future. Fact is there are loads of sports bars in NYC where you can watch LFC. At a table. For free. With better food, in a cleaner more modern bright space. Disappointing all round and from aLiverpool born and bred boy, it’s shameful.
Went here for lunch with two co-workers and walking in, we were greeted right away. The place had a bleachy scent to it. I figured they must have just mopped. Its a cool looking sports bar with high tables. Our waitress was very nice and my coworkers got the rajun cajun (burger with radish bacon and a lot of cheese) and the chicken sliders with fries (tiny chicken slider with a square piece of breaded chicken with the smallest piece of bacon ive ever seen and a scoop of guacamole not an actual avocado). We sat in the first table, which is near an employee door that they take to go to the basement. Each time the employees opened the door, i got nauseous and my co-workers and I just stared at eachother each time the door opened with disgust in our faces. It smelled like a dirty mop. I could not finish my food because of it. If we sat towards the middle, we likely would not have had this issue. The food is okay, not super flavorful but its a cool sports bar for groups. The atmosphere also has a cool vibes. Would recommend getting that smell under control.
Great food and Guinness on tap, what more could you want.
While the ambiance of the bar is quite nice. The prices at Carraghers are way too high. I can expect paying $8 dollars for a beer. I cannot understand how this bar can justify charging $12 dollars for a draft of Sella Artois. Since my company was paying for the food, I cant complain about the food cost. It was ok, just finger food appetizers.
Great atmosphere n food !!
Fantastic place! Food and beer was great, and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was electric with a game on too! Definitely a place every Reds fan should visit
Located in the Fashion District, a hop, skip and a jump away from the heart of Times Square, this Liverpool pub is the perfect location for all Midtowners looking to grab a drink and a bite after work. Its never been overcrowded every time Ive visited, and the accommodating staff has even offered to open up seating upstairs if you happen to come in with a big group. The English pub fare is a welcome change of pace.
If they host an event, they provide very little appetizers and barely any liquor. However, if you order food, its ok. Ask for a glass of wine and your lucky if you get 1/2 a glass for $15.00. Thats what happened to me celebrating NYE 2018 there.
Great place to watch a Liverpool game, really good atmosphere. Staff were great and the bar food was really decent for bar food. Wings were on crispy point! Guiness was woeful but i am yet to find a decent pint of Guinness in New York.
The place was not too crowded for a Friday night, so we got a table, great! Service was a bit slow to get our drinks each round but otherwise enjoyed it and will definitely return for the wings and pina coladas!
Food was absolutely garbage . Would of had better food from the food wagon outside.
Great bar, reasonable prices for beer and food. Sports on all tvs.
Being a Liverpool FC fan, I was made up to fall upon this pub, purely by chance.Friendly security and bar staff. Great selection of food and drinks, although we didnt eat there. It is split into 3 areas. A karaoke bar, a main bar and the restaurant. The layout works very well.Ill be going back tomorrow probably to watch a Liverpool game there, even though it will be 10am in New York.(Updated)Went back Saturday 10am to watch Liverpool v Southampton. Bit early for beers and to expect a great atmosphere, but it was lively enough.
I love this bar been here for ten years love the staff it’s my cheers Sara and neiv are the best bartenders among a lot of them really good place
I normally dont write reviews but Carraghers deserves one. Last year our staff came here after our Christmas party and we decided come again this year but on a Thursday this time. I have to say Mike really took care of us. I under estimated the number of people that would show up but Mike took care of us and got us a nice part of the bar where we all could mingle and talk. Everyone here is very friendly and super helpful. Even the bouncer is crazy cool. Love the atmosphere at Carraghers, it is very welcoming and cozy.
Good staff, nice selection of beers and plenty of space. Only complaint is that some of the TVs need an update!
I’ve been to anfield close on a hundred times and have to say the positive attitude and atmosphere inside Carraghers NYC is incredible! This is the best place to watch football (soccer) in NYC!!We all dream!Ynwa
Only had cocktails- attentive bartenders and great sports bar vibe.
Decent place to chill with friends.I was there for the el classico am giving them 3 star one because the stream was delayed for 12 mins and I missed the RM goal and two the blue moon was diluted with water, but then everything else was good and ofcourse food was good, we had order a vegeterian pizza and it was delicious
Great time visiting Carraghers! Watched the LFC Vs Benfica game with wonderful atmosphere, great food and lots of beer. We visited as a family and had a great time. Must for all LFC fans in New York.
Great pub dedicated to Jamie Carragher. Good prices as well for New York
Its a traditional themed English pub, with a Liverpool / Liverpool FC theme. Serves traditional scouse food. Good atmosphere, especially during Liverpool games. The food is a little expensive for the quality that was severed during my visit.
I absolutely love this place. It’s the perfect spot to go after work and have a few drinks and the food is amazing. It’s definitely my go to bar in Fidi
So the food was really nice. The beer is cheap. But the staff are idiots. Extremely rude. They huddle up in the corner where the till is and talk about customers. They are really sarcastic and clearly hate working there to be so rude to customers. Great bar but crap staff.
Good food at good prices. Dined here several time. They have a large selection of beers and a good menu. On the downside it can be rather noisy on busy nights and typical of US bars that refer to themselves as Irish, it falls short on authenticity to anyone from Ireland.
Amazing atmosphere for Liverpool games. Missing is all day English Breakfast and Half and Half for your brittish tea. Atmosphere not quite the same without these necessities :)
Great atmosphere if your in a party mood, loud (good) music, great burgers and a wide variety of cocktails. Make sure to make a reservation if you plan on visiting on holidays.
I went as a large group on a very busy morning as it was showing a UK football game. We where well looked after.
Wasnt that impressed as with a lot of NYC bars in that area the prices were quite high for what you got. If you want to watch the match though then its ok for that. If your looking for food and drinks you can get better and more for less elsewhere.
Service was very poor. Only stopped in for a beer and fried pickles. Pickles were overdone and dry. The server never came back after dropping off our food.
Loads of TVs for watching Liverpool game, mostly terrible quality stream though. Food is expensive and sub par. Stitched us up with vegan options too rather than just being honest.
A Great Family Sports Bar. Exceptional food and friendly atmosphere wait staff attentive and courteous. excellent venue to watch any sports you can imagine just ask the bartender the aim to please.
The location and decor were cool, but the food and service were less than average. Also was blasting pop music which really didnt work with the overall vibe. I would not go back unless things drastically changed.
Excellent food and atmosphere, staff where very friendly and helpful. A must do if you are a Liverpool fan even if not you will enjoy the food
It was a very cool night with grown n sexy adults, no kiddy bs all good vibes. It was my first time here n I really enjoyed myself with my crew I could really see myself going back there for another amazing night and the crew was a mix crewd but mostly older 30 plus.
A must for every Liverpool fan. Someone has gone to a great deal of trouble. The anthmosphere her on Champions league final nights must be incredible.
The food was extremely good and the waitor was really friendly. Great time with the family but the music was super loud and the tables are all tall. I didnt mind a person in our party was hoping for shorter tables
Nice Burger, Menu Quite Basic. As Usual In NYC Limited Veggie Choice.Male On Door Was Rude.
Great pub especially if you’re an Liverpool supporter !
Loved loved loved! AMAZING staff.!.! Spent four days in New York and three nights at carraghers hanging out and watching sports. Sausage rolls are a must. Can’t wait to go back in September!
Came here multiple times. Recently the quality went down the drain, on everything. Service is appalling, manager is anice guy but completely clueless.I have to drink beer because the wines are really bottom shelf brands. Will watch my games somewhere else.Sorry to see an establishment sinking to low levels
We spent the weekend in New York and this was our Favorite spot!!! The service was awesome! Thank Khan you our favorite guy!!!!! The food was delicious to die for... omg soooooo good: the flavor, the smell and the texture was at its point. And please peeps the ambiance.. what can I say. We went down stairs so cool and everyone was was nice, noisy but feel good place. My kids loved it. We spent every evening here for a night cap. A must to try when you come to New York #Newyork #goodfood
Our go to place for after work drinks and bar food! Try their roof top if weather permits. It’s not very flaunted but will be great surprise at price cheaper than other rooftops.
Awesome place to watch the World Cup
Had the pleasure of having dinner and drinks here tonight.Had the best most awesome time. Fun was great, but the bar lady, Margarite, made the expierence the best. Pleasant, fun, right on top of taking g care of us. Highly recommended and drop my name, Mark, if she is behind the ba r.
Great space, good for a large group. Extensive menu. Good location. Will return.
Unbelievable experience if u are a reds fan,il never forget my time der
Wings are great and atmosphere was perfect for watching a game. Absolute nicest guy in New York so far. Great service! Will be back for sure!!
Was seated. No one came.
Great rooftop with TVs to watch the games. The Nachos are great and big and so is the buffalo wings. The fish and chips is also reccomended.
Was sooooo much better in mid town
A must for all Liverpool FC fans in NY, visitors and nationals. A great atmosphere on match days, really friendly staff and great bar food. YNWA !
This is the place to watch Liverpool FC... Just get there early if its a big game!
Good to watch the footy and have a beer, food was nothing special though, burger was strangely really salty, fries were good though! Waitress attentive and friendly.
If you are a Liverpool fan then this is a must..!Be warned to book ahead as it gets incredibly busy with tourists & locals alike. But if you do want to watch a sports match this is the perfect place, plenty of screens, a good bar & of course lots of Liverpool memorabilia including a European Cup!
This place is awesome for watching sports. An abundance of tvs, friendly staff and the food was great! My new pick for most sporting events for sure!
This place is fun! Great staff, good drinks and the best Chicken tenders Ive eaten in a very long time. The taps were cold, frothy and clean tasting. Expect a proper pint from this place. It can get a bit loud and crazy and I wouldnt bring a first date unless they like sports and people yelling. The energy here is good and would definitely be a place to watch a boxing fight or soccer game with your buddies.
Great place underground, friendly and accommodating staff, great bartenders. Plenty of televisions for sports. A bit pricy but thats just NYC.
Great for sport and food. Had lunch and dinner here, both meals were fantastic. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
After waiting over 10 minutes seated at the bar I couldn’t get service. Bartender took drink orders from the folks sitting next to me, looked right at me, and walked away. So I did too.Terrible service.
Order the French onion soup and it was made with lamb stock and handfuls of tarragon. Yuck. There nacho were good. Service was excellent. People were friendly
