There is no starbucks here nor has there been for quite some time… confused why this listing is active and says was updated recently. i’ve lived on this block for nearly a year and there has never been an open starbucks in this space.

For most visitors, theyll agree that this Starbucks location offers the typical menu offerings and general atmosphere one should expect. A benefit for everyone is the stores location, which is easily accessible from the subway across the street. However, as someone not typically stopping here, I found that there was no clear indication of where to order, even in spite of the line of customers as there were multiple groupings spaced out. While waiting for fulfilled orders, I spent a considerable amount of time sitting in what are uncomfortable chairs, although I did find the window seating itself to be a benefit.Sometimes customer names are called out when orders are complete, and sometimes theyre not. So, be attentive while waiting.

I wanted to take my girlfriend here to try their refreshers. I suggested that she tried the “Pink Drink”.The drink was perfect, she loved it.As always, I loved it. It’s my go-to drink whenever I stop by a Starbucks location.

This place is permanently closed.Edit: I posted a review back in November 2023 that this place is permanently closed because this place still exists on the map after I reported that it is permanently closed. Starbucks used to exist at 177 8th Ave, New York, NY 10011. People think theres still a Starbucks here because it still remains on the map. People are writing reviews for Starbucks Reserve Roastery (61 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011), a major tourist site, because they do a quick search for Starbucks thinking this is the one they visited. But rest assured, there is no Starbucks here at W 19th St and 8th Ave. See the photos Ive uploaded for this review.

The coffee here is pretty good, especially compared to other Starbucks, but they don’t wash their dishes before serving them.

The atmosphere is quite nice! The place is always busy! Coffee is not bad! Food is ok! But worth a try

The folks here are so chill! I’d definitely come back to this Starbucks over others in the neighborhood. They’re all in the zone, singing and and having fun. The coffee was superb!

I wanted to file a complaint about the rude and discriminatory service that I received at this location. There were some employees there that seemed to be under the influence of marijuana and had trouble listening and taking my latte order. I had to repeat it five times to the clerk. Then the other clerk came and took over. And he was not helpful. He also seemed under the influence. Then they made two orders from customers who came in after me! I think they were friends of the employees. I had to wait a long time for my order which was definitely discriminatory since employee friends received preferential treatment. And being a minority in this area, this type of customer disrespect should be immediately addressed.

Emma did such a great job making my pink drink. I loved it. Will recommend her making your drink

Your average starbucks. The service quality is inconsistent. Depends on whos working and how busy it is. Blonde roast is never available. Hot coffee is sometimes just lukewarm despite claims of being freshly brewed. No available bathrooms. States ataff only. But have seen friends of the staff asking for code to use it.

I barely buy from this store even though I pass by very frequently due to their schedule. Sometimes the store is locked after 6:30 which is the opening time so I have to go somewhere else to buy coffee. Maybe they should hire an extra person to open on time if that’s the issue. Other than that I have gotten some decent capuchinos from here the times that I have found it open.

I visited Starbucks on 16 street and 8th Ave today Morning There’s a guy by the name “Shaun” with no work ethics very rude with customers have no manners, disrespectful and if you ask him not to be rude and that we come here every day he said “ if you don’t like it here there’s other Starbucks down the block you go to”He claims his the manager however , he clearly shows no experience or care on how to treat people that they come here every day for years.

Came in this morning, there were only two employees sander & jerry it was EXTREMELY Busy & they were backed up with orders. I had to wait 10mins for a mobile order but those two employees were moving to get those orders out while being extremely apologetic & still greeting & thanking everyone that walked threw the door. It’s sad they didn’t have no help being that mornings are usually busy hours for a coffee shop but Those two guys are SUPER STARS

Staff young, cool with plenty personality.Clean atmosphere. My Blacktea with lemonade on menu, was tasteless. Not good at all, and expensive.Also does not allow patrons to use the restroom.

Latte was great, prepared to specs as requested and best of all in a timely manner. Where this location really won me over was the staff. Just quality people, good energy, friendly, and HONEST! I actually accidentally left my bag at their location and the nice girl behind the counter (didn’t get her name) quickly grabbed it and held it for me. I went about an hour later and she returned it with a smile. Appreciate you guys! Top Starbucks in town.

In New York for the weekend from Colorado, Yes a tourist!!!! Starbucks refused bathroom access to customers. Had to scrabble 2 blocks to find a bathroom just in time to avert a disaster. Ill surrender my Starbucks account and craze and start going to small independent coffee shops.It’s been 5 years and i haven’t gone to Starbucks once, haven’t missed them either. Glad I stuck to my promise

Every morning the staff is friendly and welcoming. They truly look like they’re having fun. They remember the customers names and drink orders. When I arrive in the morning they’re already making my drink and serve it with a smile. It’s a great way to start my day.

Very careless people inside nobody listen. You have to repeat yourself 100 times. Nobody cares. People with very wrong attitude.I wanted to have little extra or oat milk after almost requesting everyone somebody got hold on me and they overfilled the cup..... keep on pouring until it starts spilling outside of the cup no regret no apologies just walked away.Thank you for the EXTRA service

Staff was friendly and fast, however the store was to small for my taste. Theres simply not enough room to feel relaxed while drinking your coffee. Also the music was a bit loud, bit good nonetheless.

I’ve been coming here a few times a month for a while. The staff was nice enough. Today there were two female staff members I haven’t seen before and one in particular was rude and inefficient- maybe the manager? Learn some customer service! Don’t tell me I didn’t order what I ordered! For those ridiculous prices I asked for my money back. She then actually denied being rude. Just because it’s New York doesn’t make it ok to be rude.

Have been going to this Starbucks for years and the staff treats customers consistently friendly, efficiently & courteous. The food is prepared & delivered well. The staff tries to get to know you & greet you by your first name. Cleanliness is tops. Can not say enough great things about this Starbucks.

Far from great location. Coffee was fine but little seating, seemingly no power outlets, too few staff, and the bathroom was a disaster. (staff were told by several people and finally investigated). Would not go back to this location. Strongly advise going to one of the other 2 right down the road.

I was here for a work event and the food was amazing. I sampled a number of appetizers, entrees, and desserts and everything was excellent. The tuna tartar, decomposed strawberry shortcake, and donut were my favorites. I obviously couldnt eat all of these dishes at once, but buying for the whole group and then sampling was a great way to enjoy them; I definitely recommend it for a large group of people.

Came here on a Sunday night to grab a pastry and I was the only person at the coffee shop. It took me a few minutes to decide what I wanted and the staff was very nice and patient with me. Once I ordered, the barista was very energetic and friendly when my order was ready. He had such a good attitude, it made my night.

Dirty floor, tables, stools. Music way too loud to do work...bring your ear buds or sound cancelling headphones plus some wipes to clean the spot if you want to stay here for any length of time. Friendly staff, however, and my drink was as I ordered.

Generally not the most pleasant Starbucks Ive been to. The baristas that made my beverage, while it was slightly customized, made it seem like I asked them to make the most annoying, difficult and bothersome drink. It took forever and my friend and I were the only two ppl in the shop at the time.This was very early in the morning on a Saturday and even tho they had only been open for an hour, the place was a mess too.In the end my beverage was acceptable and it really was just the unpleasant staff that made this a poor experience, compared to every other Starbucks visit.

I go here because its close to my gym. It can be crowded at times but they do serve fast. I notice a number of interesting characters who would visit, stay, have coffee or something here. I happen to see them whenever I am there.

There are better places nearby and it always takes a while to get a coffee from here.

You can charge your phone for free and you have free WIFI. Outside of the building there is the Google HQ of NY.Met nice people here, and they were super friendly and helpful to a blind person.Coffee good as usual.

I was just there and there is NO Starbucks. The address might be wrong or it closed down.

Some if the nicest staff in the neighborhood. Definitely prefer (the overall vibe) to some of the more upscale places in the neighborhood. One minus is that the Clover stuff is way overpriced and was actually kind of gross. Better to go to Grumpy right around the corner for a top flight brew..

Smaller to medium side of a Starbucks. Has window seating, bustling 8th Ave, right across from Google. Convenient.

Never opens on time. Closed again today after 7am on Saturday. Half the time we don’t know if they gonna open or they closed. Needs new management and new workers cause they really suck. Went there recently in the morning and line was out the door, hire more staff!

The baristas are always friendly and accommodating. You won’t feel rushed (even if you’re in a hurry). It can get full fast and empty within minutes, you just don’t get that long wait.

Its a small Starbucks thats usually open about an hour later than the others in Chelsea. Although the restroom was recently closed permanently, the layout & seating design show sensitivity for local snacking needs for passers-by on the go or on their ways to some nearby event or nightlife venue. The sentiment is lost, however, to conflicting​ impact reduction missions on the Corporates part, because almost all menu items are usually out of stock one to three hours before scheduled doors close.

I had a really nice experience today with a cheerful happy Batista and watched the Manager take care of the hard working Ready, Willing and Able workers. Loved it!

Pointless having opening hours and also revised opening hours on the door that you don’t actually adhere to. Staff just standing in the store ignoring the fact customers are trying to get in during the times when you state you are open online and on the door.

I’m your regular customer but This store evening employees very rude they didn’t give me use restroom every day 15 minutes cleaning time but they are making today 20 minutes .Starbucks all store was very nice with me. Thanks

I did a mobile order of an Ice Latte blonde with 3 stevias and no ice and I got a latte with like 6 white sugars and ice 😒 I mean, you can taste the difference 🤷‍♀️ I really don’t recommend this place👎

A daily--curated perfectly-- environment and encounter. Theyve thought of everything you dont readily know youll need. Done and done. Saddle up, lets stay a while.

I don’t understand why it’s closed @ 7:30 in the am when the hours clearly say otherwise … one min it’s open next it’s not and the employees have attitudes ALL the time it doesn’t hurt to be nice and smile that matters, especially when you order a drink and actually pay for the extras and the baristas make it how they want to and they get upset with you

In general, Starbucks can be OK for espresso, but their cappuccino is a mess. There are plenty of much better places in NY, extremely close to this location too, such as Grumpy or 9th Street Espresso.

This is the friendliest Starbucks I went to in New York, even more friendly than the Reserve store.I’m a partner from the south and out of the five locations I went in NY this was the only one where I was greeted with a hey or a welcome in…. And then while waiting on my drink BOTH baristas made attempts to connect while crafting drinks….. which made me feel so welcomed!!! The store was clean when I came even tho it was just two people on the floor…. And they had an outlet for me to charge my phone.Big shout to Maine for being a great shift, you’re killing it !!!!

Used to live on the block and have been going to this Sbux for years. Today I witnessed a barista, Chris, refuse an elderly couple from using the restroom. The elderly man and his wife in a wheelchair were hiding from the rain and hadnt bought a drink. He told them, Theres a public restroom down the block and around the corner in a passive aggressive tone. It was just not the kind of customer service or core values Starbucks is known to put forth.

Even though this is the closest Starbucks to me, I used to avoid this location. However, its been fantastic recently. Everyone is super friendly and efficient!

The entire vibe in the Starbucks is perfect. Walking in it feels like you just walked into your family’s bbq. The workers are hyper-aware of all the customers, making sure everyone is greeted and has their orders.

Im not sure why a cashier named LOGAN decided to act unprofessionally with a customer who was trying to pay for his coffee on 04/14 from 4:40 -4:50 by not communicating properly and choosing finger pointing and silence instead!! Because as far as I noticed, he knows how to talk very well with his coworkers. It was disrespectful and rude. Are there any Starbucks employees treat customers based on any preferences?

The service was ok, the employees were more concerned about personal calls, the music was louder than at a tavern, NO bathroom for public....no sign up saying bathroom is not accessible until you need to find one....I realize the rules on how many seats for a public loo..... I guess Starbucks is more concerned about selling beverages, food etc and providing space but not seats so they dont have to provide a water closet...This was like going to a non Starbucks with Starbucks products but not the usual Starbucks with the usual quality service Starbucks provides...I guess this place should be called Starbuck Lite. This location is like Starbucks Twilight Zone or why not make it a 7 11.

Your typical local Starbucks, service was fast and efficient. The location is good right next to a Subway stop. I did see a fly buzzing around the sink areas, but no one did anything. The drink pickup area is very small and right next to the restroom.

First Starbucks in many years. Worth the wait

This Starbucks has a decent amount of seating for NYC but the vibe is totally off. It doesnt feel like a Starbucks. The walls are a bright white and the entire thing feels like a clinic rather than a coffee shop. If youre being generous, you could call it the Chelsea gallery look, but I find it unwelcoming and left.

It was fine. Surprisingly quiet for the hood.

Store 7255 gives an amazing experience. I went to the Starbucks Reserve and paid $9.50 for what ended up being the WORST iced mocha I had ever had. I then came here and simply asked if they could help. I didnt want my money back or and equal exchange, I just wanted something to drink. Justine, Abby, & Niesha completely turned my whole day around by remaking my drink for me and it was perfect!

The place that allows me to find the time to relax

Signature Starbucks... Friendly staff, clean place.. Busy buy I always manage to get a place to sit... Prefer the window to watch and relax but overall a relaxing place... Cool background music ... The only drawback, and maybe a benefit, is the lack of outlets

The atmosphere here is less inviting and not as fun as the one in Union Square. But the patrons are cool. Helpful in that classic NYC style bit even a little nicer. Stop by on a slow day, get your bearings.

Starbucks shut down their 15/7 location close to where I live, so I started coming here. Had to wait 15 minutes for my coffee in a crowded store with no room for social distancing. I have not felt this unsafe in a store, and Im surprised the NY DOH allows them to operate like this!

A typical, well-worn Starbucks with the typical offerings of overpriced, pretentious caffeinated beverages. You will find tables occupied for extended periods by guys with man buns and laptops nursing a coffee purchased two hours prior. Staff seems pleasant but overworked.

I stepped in and I ordered mango dragon fruit and I paid after pain deserved people that became way after me because the staff know him, one of the employees the D do the drinks she was so rude and when I asked her. But I didnt get my order yet, she goes giving me a different order and when I said thats not what I ordered she said its not available, and I was really upset that nobody told me that they changed my order and acting super rude, and she goes like give him refund ,very upset and angry.

This is a nice cozy Starbucks, but its fairly small so it can get pretty crowded. If you can score a seat at a table in the front window, however, its a great spot for relaxing with a newspaper.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.The cashier had no passion or patience plus forgot to offer me the receipt.My muffing was heated and was standing there without saying, so it got cold again.My caramel coffee also was standing there without saying my name plus the cup was all dirty with caramel outside.All this happened today Thursday 14th, June at 9am.I will definitely not going there again.

The annoying music here is VERY loud. When I asked one of the staff if the volume could be lowered even slightly, she said no .. that the company regulated the volume at the current LOUD level. She suggested moving away from the speaker; however there are at least THREE blasting speakers and they proved impossible to avoid, In addition the music here is hardly soothing or supportive of conversation.. the drum beats are loud and insistent and one song included a monotonous repeating treble guitar strum that was beyond annoying. One solution would be to reserve at least a few tables in an area sans speaker!!!

Starbucks is always great except when theres no bathroom, and when I order a product that they no longer have and they still take money off my card even though I NEVER received the item

Like every other Starbucks Ive been to in the city. You always have that random person that leaves their trash wherever and the overworked staff have yet to clean it up because theres a line to the door and a cluster of people waiting for drinks on the side. But the staff seemed nice and friendly and very efficent. I always get whatever new thing they have so I recently tried the chocolate crumble frappuccino in a venti and since Im lactose intolerant I got it with coconut milk and my whip cream because I love whip cream no matter what and it tasted great and refreshing.

Its a bit small and hard to find seats but attention was great

Quick service, open seating. Just grabbed a quick snack before heading home.

Always satisfied with Starbucks and this one was no exception. Very pleased with staff as well.
