This was the most fantastic Starbucks (69th & 1st) Ive visited in a long time! It was vibrant, energized and bustling. The servers (standing by the to-go orders) were so attentive and engaging. Both of them gave nearly every customer a cheerful Good Morning!The cashier attendant was precise with my order and yet also quick (while training someone, I suspect). This was actually the best decaf coffee Ive had at a Starbucks, in a long time! I asked for extra milk--and it was just cool enough to sip as soon as I walked out of the door!An particular highlight was one specific Starbucks associate (I believe another customer greeted him by name--George) was so welcoming and gregarious! He knew so many people by name, the second they walked in! I imagine if I were a regular here, Id love it. He worked the to-go table at a fever pitch--calling out names, checking orders as soon as they came up from the back, greeting new folks, including the cutest interaction with a crying toddler--he got the child engaged and talking right away! He even handled two patrons asking about staying in the cafe, smoothly and with joy. One guest said, May we stay? and he said As long as you can show proof of vaccine, its okay with us! (With a grin and a cheerful tone)Wow... I would come here, and just watch the interactions, for fun, everyday--if I were a regular! ☺️😍☕
Clearly they are incompetent. When I ask for starfruit and kiwi... Dont say you put it when I can see theres none there!! Demanded my money back because Im not gonna pay for a lazy employee to lie to my face.
Incredibly loud music for such a small place, the tea temperature reminded me of the McDonalds coffee law case. 5 minutes after purchase and still incredibly hot. They do have a restroom. Personnel could be friendlier.
The staff is very friendly which I highly appreciate, but operations need to be reviewed here. Theres consistently a very long wait despite it being peak or off-peak. I think theyd be better off making the barista area larger and downsizing the lounge area. Great coffee though!
This morning, I ordered coffee from Starbucks, which the Bautista service a dirty led coffee to me. With the money of cost of the coffee and the name brand it should not be happening.

I went to this location early on 10/3 to get some work done. The service was quick, the music playlist helped me focus, and the cold brew was tasty. Overall great experience. Will likely visit this location again.

My daughter and I visited this location back in mid-September. She ordered through the Starbucks app which gave an estimated time her order would be ready. We waited almost close to 20 minutes before her order was finally ready. Im not sure what the hold up was. This location accepts cash or card. It is also accessible via public transportation.
These are just the most lovely people in the world. I go to the Starbucks probably 3 to 4 times a week because its near my apartment and whenever Im down and Im in a mood Ill pop in there and the workers just always have a smile on their face and they want you to have a good day. The lady who usually works the mobile order counter tells you good morning and really means it.I know its odd to write a review for a large chain like Starbucks, but these people really do go above and beyond to make you feel like your energized and ready to take on your day and I just feel like they need to get the credit they deserve.
The employees at this Starbucks were not very welcoming or friendly. I felt like my presence was a nuisance and I was the only person in the store (at 3pm, it’s not like they were about to close). After my order was taken the cashier said “that’s all?” And was slamming down the scanner thing. While drinkers were being made things were also being slammed and there was an overall vibe of annoyance. I get that working at places like Starbucks can be stressful and overwhelming but even when there’s rushes I’ve always been treated with respect and kindness. But not at this place at 3pm when it was a ghost town. I rarely write reviews on google but I wanted this to be noted. The attitude of the staff was just horrible.

I get the best feeling when I walk into this particular Starbucks, Eddie the whole staff, I wish I knew all of their names to give them the praise they deserve. They are professional, courteous, behave in calm way when it gets busy, smile... Ive been frequenting this store for years, it must be new management, whatever it is I like it! This place is always busy and understaffed during the morning rush hour. Staff try hard to keep up with the orders but the volume is just too much to handle. The last time I placed a mobile order it took 25 minutes to get my drink and on top of that I got the wrong beverage. (There were at least 15 people ahead of me) As more and more people order via the mobile app It creates more of wait and does the opposite of what it should accomplish. Please re-evaluate number of employees per shift and schedule baristas accordingly. No one should have to wait 25 minutes for a drink. Also the condiment area is consistently dirty.
There is an employee in that location who likes to racially profile people.
Very slow service and messed up my order. Asked for no whipped cream and was given whipped cream. The staff member turned around to fix my order, forgot it was my drink and almost gave it to another person. Only positive about this trip to Starbucks was that the drink tasted good.
I have came to this Starbucks three times and the service was geeat each time. I also must say they make a dang good chai tea. I love the yogurt with mango and coconut flakes and wish they had the gummy bears here i seem to never see them. Friendly staff and does a great job moving the line along.Update : I come here everyday now 😀. Their service is great and the employees are always pleasant.
This starbucks is always clean, prepared, and quick! Even with a long line you never wait more than 5 minutes to order. The baristas are very friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help with suggestions or alternatives if needed.

Terrible customer service. Busy morning, which I understand. Waited ten minutes for my drink before asking where mine was. She then refused to make my drink, kept my cup in front of her as she made five other drinks. Thanks to her I was late for work.
This Starbs is my daily morning stop, as it is for many people who work in the hospitals near by, and it is a stop that I now dread. From an operational standpoint, this place really needs to be re-evaluated. First and foremost, the biggest issue for everyone here is the extremely long wait times for your mobile order. I understand when the Q train comes in, there is a large rush. BUT this is something that occurs multiple times a day, every day. Therefore, more staff obviously needs to be put on for the morning. I have been understanding & have always waited patiently, but today put me over the edge. I ordered my drink at 6:42am, which is when I knew I was about ten minutes or so from Starbs. Arrived at 6:53am, and nothing. I stood right in front of the mobile order area and waiting. Finally, at 7:02, I see a gentleman put an empty cup with my name & order on the counter where you pick up mobile orders, but did not actually say my name. They were out of black tea, and apparently by him placing my empty cup on the counter without calling my name, I was supposed to automatically know that. He did not tell me they were out, or give me the options of green tea or white tea, which they had, or offer me a refund. He just kept it moving. So I had to flag someone down about it. Then it took them an additional 5 minutes to just make an iced tea, which I ordered without sugar and they put sugar in anyway. But unfortunately, I had waited so long I couldnt wait another ten minutes for them to remake the drink correctly so I left. The workers were all over the place and very unorganized, and on top of that, the workers arent very friendly either. This store really needs either refreshment training, more workers, or just an additional Starbucks store.
I always feel at home in this location. The staff are al so nice and they always make my order perfect.
Standard Starbucks. They get orders right more often than the other nearby UES locations, and the staff seem happier here, which I suspect are related. Theyre not the best at choosing when to train new employees, so while the line is pretty fast 90% of the time, the other 10% youre going to wait a solid ten minutes during rush times.

This is the worst Starbucks. Im somewhat captive because its on the way to work, but they regularly screw up my drink. Today they gave me a pumpkin spice latte with no pumpkin spice. Gross. I went back to exchange it and didnt even get an apology let alone a drink coupon. Nice.ETA: Now with mobile ordering I dont have a problem. I order on the way in and my perfectly-made order is ready when I walk it. Its made the in-person ordering line twice as long though.
Consistently inconsistent. Mobile order usually wrong and slow. Customer service is not a priority but setting up there phones for live video seems to be. IF they arent out of stevia (95% of visits) they still direct me to the bar to add it to my mobile order myself.
A nice place to order coffees, snacks, and to study, read a book or newspaper. The staff is friendly and cheerful. But the temperature can get rather icy on warm summer days.

I place a mobile order in the morning and it’s ready to go within the allotted time, and never wrong. That’s all I ask for from my local Starbucks. (And the staff seems really friendly, too, from our limited interactions.)
This is a fair place to have a cup of cofee and spend some time with friends or Aline. You can also access internet (for free) without asking password or bucha anyone. U will be there for hours and no one will bug you. It is a very friendly and modern environment. The coffee smell is really good.

I went this morning (11/12/2021), excited to order a Taylor’s Latte. Its a promotion in which starbucks partnered with Taylor swift. They didn’t know the drink and were not playing Taylors swift music.

They had a platter with boiled eggs, cheese, raisin bread, peanut butter, salt n pepper mixed, and something else I cant remember. I was hesitant at first but it was pretty filling.

This was,hands down, the worst coffee frappe I have ever had. I initially got it so sweet,the frappe tasted like syrup. I then told the barista about it and his face was packed full of displeasure.Come on, its your job to make good drinks for the customers and it is Starbucks policy that unsatisfactory drinks be changed.Now the worst part is, the second drink (pictured) was equally sweet and felt more like completely melted slush than the frappe it should have been.Horrible attitude and horrible skills!

Its definitely not a place where I would personally revisit. Its fine to have music playing, but blaring music is unacceptable. Does not have the standard that I am accustomed to when I visit these establishments. Some of the employees attitudes towards some of the customers really solidify why I would not even attempt to go back to this location. To top it all off, there was only one machine working, so wait time was extreeme and inconvenient.

Soo rude and unprofessional!He also initially got our order wrong when we had to correct him!I believe he needs training on how to be professional, courteous and respectful!I will be very hesitant about visiting that location again!

Honestly I can’t stand this Starbucks. The music is always so loud you can’t hear yourself think. The baristas always have an attitude, every last one! Especially the older man with the glasses and square head/black hair. He always looks like he’d rather be anywhere else. Never greets you and when you ask for help he always has a sour face. I’m starting to think he doesn’t like a particular demographic of customers, if you know what I mean. In the morning there’s 20 baristas on the floor but when you try to get their attention to help you they all ignore you. The girl that stood outside of the bar today was more focused on placing stickers on cups than actually helping. As a former shift supervisor of a Starbucks, no one in that store would have been hired to work at my location. The new aged Starbucks sucks. Drinks, food and staff.UPDATE: went here the other day because I wanted to give it another try and really wanted to try that brown sugar latte. Nothing much has changed. Music is so loud you can hear it from outside when someone opens the door. Employees too busy walking back and forth playing around to even acknowledge the customers. Barista at the register with an attitude. I don’t understand how one location can be so bad. Ended up walking out. Waste of time.

I think this is the funnest Starbucks cafe in NYC. Sometimes I order coffee only to be part of this marvelous vibe. I work in the hospital nearby, so going to this store helps me to set my mind for a great workday.
I understand it’s a Holiday but your business should be open on posted hours of operation. It’s not ok to inconvenience someone to go to your store to discovered that staff has closed early.

I’ve been working across the street from this Starbucks for years. They are always so nice to everyone, welcoming you in the shop, and they’re always well staffed and move fast. They also play the best music! In my opinion, this is the best Starbucks location.
Just want to give a shout out to this Starbucks, this is one of THE BUSIEST Starbucks with all the hospital employees, they do their best since COVID to get people in and out as fast as they can, I see they finally got rid of the negative energy and have truly turned it into an inviting place. I love the morning greetings and I appreciate all their hard work. Some days it’s really hard to keep up with all the orders coming in but they let you know they are on it. Honestly they deserve to expand the corner location and have more space for all their employees to work and not have to be on top of each other. They are hard working and as a hospital employee I appreciate they are there to help me jump start my day!

I stop every morning, Monday-Friday. While they are busy the employees always take the time to say hello and be as efficient as possible. I recommend using their app to order ahead, the line can be quite long.
Super busy Starbucks. Not much standing or sitting room. They usually get my drink right, which I appreciate. The mobile order is definitely the way to go at this location. If you treat the baristas nicely, they are very nice in return!
This Starbucks simply cant accommodate the amount of people that come in (morning rush). Staff is great and with less people, would be a fine location. My reason for the poor review, in addition to the miserable experiences, is that management does nothing to fix or curb this at peak times. They will take as many app orders that come in, knowing they cant meet the need. Greed trumps customer in this stores case.
I rarely get Starbucks because it is expensive. However, the team at this location really made it count! The cashier was very sweet. The girl making my drink - Martha? Marsha? - she was moving so fast it was hard to read her name tag - was amazing. She asked me for clarifications on how much I wanted as I had ordered extra of certain toppings. Java chip craving successfully fulfilled. Great customer service all around!

Its my go-to Starbucks. The staff is usually friendly and efficient. Would recommend ordering ahead as the staff from the nearby hospitals make quite a line specially during the changes of shifts.
Only Hot coffee or Frapes. Kinda clean, but extremely loud. Club loud! Friendly, but apathetic staff. You can’t EVER order Cold Brew on the app, but usually always have it. When I asked the manager why, she said they never turn it on or they’re too busy. There are two Dunkin’ Donuts within 1 block north or south and unfortunately I feel like I am forced to switch just to get a cold brew coffee on my way into the hospital. Being forced to come in and order takes way longer and id rather save the money and time. Save yourself a headache. This Starbucks is going downhill pretty quick.

Im not one to write reviews but today I felt the need to..this morning as I was waiting for my turn on line the cashier proceeded to continue having his conversation outloud with his other coworker completely acknowledging the fact that I was standing there right in front of him for like almost a minute before he asked me what I wanted ! Many times when I walk in and order I always end up waiting for them AND with other customers to make my coffee while they take they sweet time.. the service there is unacceptable.. the only reason I get coffee from there sometimes cause its close to my job... thumbs down for sure 👎👎👎👎👎

Its a pretty busy Starbucks given its location (near Memorial Sloan Kettering, and other hospitals), but its clean and the staff are very friendly and efficient.
Just left her about 30mins ago i ordered a drink online it was not ready when i got there which was ok as i told the guy i had a pickup order i just had witnessed him changing a mop head on the sales floor and then he proceeds to make my drink did not wash his hands or anything very nasty i asked him to make it over to see if he would wash his hands he did not plus he made the drink wrong i took it to the register a very nice girl made it over and it was perfect..he had the audacity to get an attitude because i wanted someone else to make my drink whos hands were not on a dirty mop

I’m a regular customer and I’ve consistently noticed how lazy the weekend staff is. The order takes way too long because they’re too busy not doing their job and when it does come out there’s consistently something wrong with the order. It’s really a simple task at hand, but somehow they manage to make my visit unpleasant every time. Last time I was there, I asked if i can get my 2 drinks in a holder inside a bag because my hands were full and they said “no we cannot use scissors right now” and just walked away. Also, no one handed me my mobile order even though I was clear to mention that I had a mobile order... The service keeps getting worse. Management should be seriously addressing the incompetence that exists during the weekend.
I would give 0 stars if possible! I Had a bad experience with the staff there! The music was too loud, it hurts your ears!!! I was the only customer seating, I kindly asked them to lower the music a bit, they cracked it higher! No wonder no one was sitting there! They are driving the customers away!
Such a great vibe. I went in at 6am in the middle of a long birth (I’m a doula) and the baristas energy gave me liiiife. Drink was made impeccably. Music made me dance. Possibly my favorite Starbucks ever.
Its a busy location so the staff doesnt have time to keep up with cleanliness of the place. I came in there on Friday morning. It was raining so the floor was pretty slippery. Also the music was blasting too loud. When I pulled up my phone to pay for my coffee I couldnt hear the beep that indicated that the payment went through. I asked the barrista if it went through and her response was you will hear the beep when it will go through.. I did mention to her that the music was too loud but she didnt pay attention to it. I will come back to this Starbucks anyways because I love their coffee and it is close to my job.
Service @ 69th & Lex is slower than molasses
Ugh beyond frustrating! I place a mobile order every morning, a cheese danish and regular blonde roast. EVERY SIMPLE. However most mornings I get there and my cheese danish is on the rack but no coffee. Then Ill stand and wait and wait (long enough to get on line to place the order) until I get my coffee. Then after waiting all that time naturally my danish has cooled down and is now room temp. Overall this mobile stand isnt managed well and is very inefficient.

Slow service. Lazy staff
Great ice blended drinks. Was not busy. And staff was really nice.
Starbucks is Starbucks but in the morning rush hour, this place evidently needs more staff. Mobile orders fill the counters with many people not picking them up because they take so long. Subway is 5 min away which is most likely from where people place their order. But at this hour in the morning it takes over 15 minutes to get your order so people dont wait. Saw one staff member just throwing away drink after drink in the trash while I waited for mine for over 20 mins. This is not a one time issue. It happens every single day and the store hasnt solved it yet. Wondering if they ever will since the money from the mobile orders keeps coming in.
The place has lots of space. But it is always crowded. I have never liked Starbucks coffee but in the neighborhood this might be one of the best choices you have

Over priced coffee as usual. But rude and belligerent staff at this location on a Saturday at 7PM. Usually Starbucks are fairly pleasant. So beaware of this nasty attitude that is lurking in this store.
LOWER THE HIP HOP MUSIC!!!! Hostile indifferent staff. Freezing a/c on an autumn day. Management is clueless.
You have definitely had better coffee in most Starbucks, but at least the wait is short except when a shift changes in one of the nearby hospitals.

Orders mobile order 20-30 minutes and still haven’t received it. Plan ahead of time before ordering or cancel plans for half a day.

Worst service ever. Employees are rude and condescending. I asked three times where my order was and both baristas ignored me completely. I’ll never go back in here again.

They dont listen. Nobody at the counter. I asked if my order can be taken. Nobody came back to me.
Went to this starbuck to get my coffee since is close to my job and when I went to put milk and sugar to my coffee, I ask for some sugar since there were none in the condiment compartment and the employee told me that they dont have sugar no more. They just lost my business since I will no longer go to this starbuck.
Its like a fridge in there, but everything else is on point.
I think this is the worst Starbucks in New York. The staff is hostile to customers and each other. Theyre always out of everything and dont tell you until after youve been waiting for it for 10 minutes, because they dont seem to communicate with each other at all.
Took 30 minutes for a mobile order during the morning rush. Then 45 minutes for two coffees during the BOGO rush. My venti was made as a grande, which I was not about to wait to have it fixed. Many times this location has been unable to make seasonal drinks and one time they even ran out of venti got cups, which I have no idea how that happens. Two stars because it is not the fault of the staff. I feel bad for them and I try to be considerate unlike some rude customers. But there are definitely some operational problems going on, not sure if its a management issue or if the store is just too small for the location, since it is the closest one to NYP.
The wait time is ridiculous. Its a 50/50 chance they get your order correct and sometimes the online orders are forgotten.

Probably been here 30 times. Consistently busy and seemingly understaffed. By even NYC standards this is not a good Starbucks location. Don’t come if you you’re ever in a hurray.

This place is getting more and more ridiculous I gets coffee here nearly everyday and for a few months now I seeing a pattern where I comes to color ppl their waiting longer than the white ppl for coffee when everyone is using the same money payments,I had to ask a question this morning ,I going to look else where for my coffee
