Terrible service. Waited about 15mins for a coffee while the employees talked about their life, hanging out like youre bothering them. Poor communication on top of that, barely acknowledged a customer waiting, or assured them they will fix the issue. Barely a place to sit, tables are always dirty. Overpriced coffee to have this experience is disgraceful.

I’ll start off by saying, I have been coming to this starbucks for years now and have never been treated the way I have now. This is all due to an employee or “supervisor” called Lumini. Every single time that I have entered this starbucks whether is be with my boyfriend or family she has been nothing but rude to me even up to the point where she has ignored me and taken orders from other guests who where waiting in line behind me ( that’s when i decided to just mobile order off my phone). She has made very inappropriate jokes towards my boyfriend various times. And when I have spoken to other baristas and employees of this location they admit that it isn’t the first time that anyone complains about her. What a shame, without her i’m pretty sure the environment, service and atmosphere of the store would be way better! Lumini is truly the worst.

Wait coffee 15-20 min is too much. Today, I waited 25 min, 25 minutes of my life. Simple coffee. If the team cant handle the morning jam, stop mobile orders. Im very disappointed.

Every morning I decide to order from this location it never surprises me how slow they are to fulfill a mobile order but if it a frequent customer they are fulfilling the order priority status. I would typically place the order on my way to work because I transfer at 96 street . The One train is a local train and at times it can be extremely delayed going uptown being that some stop at 137th and some go all the way to the last stop 242. I miss 1-2 trains because I am standing and waiting 10-12 mins for a drink that says 5-8 mins when I place the order at 42nd street. This is the third time this week and I tried to give grace each time but I do not understand the disconnect.I come to this location because the Baristas in my opinion enjoy their craft . However if someone comes in and states their name and they are waiting in my opinion serve them versus the “VIP customer” your waiting on to walk through the door.Then to add , I open my coffee cup and I got a sip of coffee inside for 6 dollarsUpdate***A friend ordered coffee and purchased a grande caramel macchiato and again it is not even half of the cup.

It was a good experience and not a great one. It could be I came during one of their busier periods but it took awhile to pay for my item or for a cashier to come to the register. At least the quality of my drink was up to par so if the service end gets corrected, I will come to this location again.

Small and cramped. Theyve no problem charging $10+ for small coffee and small pastry but shut down the rest room they used to have. Shabby excuse? Too many vagrants going on.Last time I askedabout rest room the young woman gave me an argument.For the price they charge they can figure this out. Refuse to go there again for such shabby service. Ill be going down the block where they have better seating better service and a rest room for customers

I received my Uber delivery food really fast hot fresh good presentation theyre very nice and they always have everything stocked up never had a problem with them they are great the greatest if you ever are fortunate enough and decided to have a good time in Englewood our neighborhood is full and supplied with all these grey stores in food and you just park or come in the train or in the bicycle and you walk around we have the marina we have pool halls we have restaurants that lounges we got Parks everything is very safe very clean very neat and its like Fridays all the time but you should definitely try to stop by the great very professional

Had a terrible experience there. They play very noisy music to the point that it is hard to hear the person while ordering. I believe it can even be ableist to play music so loud that if a person with hearing disabilities come to the place they won’t be able to order. I actually asked if they could put down the music to be able to order as I was having to yell and it was hard to hear and they didn’t. I tried ordering but at the end had to ask for a refund and leave because of a terrible headache. It is really bad that I was only looking for a drink and ended up with a headache.

You’d be hard pressed to find a less hospitable establishment let alone a Starbucks, to say i frequent this location is an understatement. Have there been times when the service was fine/nothing to complain about? sure, but service quality is eroding drastically, employees seem extremely unhappy to be there and multiple times mistakes are made on drinks with the correct info printed on the ticket and if you dare call it out they look extremely bothered and annoyed apart from moving at turtle speed, don’t apologize not even speak or look at you. Not many places drain you of your energy when you walk in them, This place is one of them. To say I’d never go to SB again would be a lie, but this particular location I would avoid until they get proper leadership in there to course correct the decaying customer service. Note: there are def quality self motivated employees at this location but they are overshadowed by the lackluster culture that obviously exist there.

This is my closest neighboring Starbucks. I suggest to order online cause the waiting time is really long. This place is always busy. Customer service varies. Sometime the staff is on a good mood, sometimes they just ignore you or have attitude. They sometimes get your order wrong so make sure they repeat back your order. I feel like this place can do so much better.

I went in the store 11:35 A.M and there was only a register opened. In the store that I could count of there was about 7 plp. 3 people making coffee I didn’t see a barista . One heating up the food , the cashier and 2 In the back . As The cashier is takin the order,ta takes about 6 mins doing it and finishes with the person. Turns around starts making coffee and the following person is waiting on line as I am also desperately . The wait was disgusting specially when there is only one cashiers available at the time . It is very upsetting when you are in a rush hour trying to go to work and stop for something to eat. The way things are being managed is horrible . No appreciation of the client specially a brand like Starbucks . I went in my car again and took pics of the store. This store had great workers before I don’t know what happened to them … I walked out of the place without my drink and the items I wanted . Still when I left the guy was making coffee and not on the Register . This store had amazing staff before I don’t know what happened to them …

Yet another person with a Horrible Experience at a Starbucks... Specifically, the Starbucks at Johnson Creek Crossing in Portland, Oregon. I was trying to give my order at the drive-thru, but apparently the person who was taking it couldnt hear me very well. A short, decaf vanilla mocha non-fat no-whip. Still, she had every thing right but the vanilla, so when she asked me if it was right, I said Everything but the vanilla. She said she was having trouble hearing me, so I said loudly Va-nil-la! She said she was still having trouble hearting me, and for some unknown reason changed the drink to a grande vanilla latte, so I said loudly Moch-a! and then asked her why she changed the drink/size? She said she more about not being able to hear me, so in a very loud voice I said SHORT... DECAF... VANILLA... MOCHA. NONFAT... NO WHIP At which point she said I was treating her badly and refused to take my order. After some pointless back and forth I asked for the manager. She claimed she was the manager. I asked for the contact information for her supervisor. She insisted that I come up to the window, and after waiting for other customers, I did, and she gave me the business card for her supervisor. I asked for her name, which she refused to give me because I was being too aggressive. She also claimed that the name on her apron was not really hers. I asked for a way to identify her with the supervisor and she would only give me three digits from her employee number.Suffice to say, after telling me multiple times she couldnt hear me and then, in a clearly passive aggressive manner, refusing to take my order when I tried saying it loudly enough so that she could hear me, I find it hard to imagine ever wanting to put myself through this again. Its a shame - after 30 years of patronage, I think Im done with Starbucks over-priced drinks and childish staff. Its not the first time Ive experienced immature Starbuck staff, but it will be the last.

Got some honey on my jacket sleeve and before I could even find help the guy with the beard came around and asked if I needed anything. He supplied me with some wet napkins that helped me escape the nightmares of a sticky sleeve. Excellent service!

This is currently my nearest neighborhood Starbucks but I have been here not that often, as I am often done work when I get here, or rushing to work. Oops, I dont do online orders for Starbucks. But the few times I have been there, I thought everyone is friendly and helpful. Very close to the subway so it works for me.

Not the best STARBUCKS, but itll do! Im a coffee-holic so Im typically excited to visit any coffee establishment, however, this starbucks doesnt tickle my fancy. For the most part, the store is clean & provides rapid service. Most of the time the baristas are changing so theres a lot of inexperience going on (probably not the best training for them due to time predicaments during the hiring process?). Whenever I tend to visit theres hardly any seats available...but otherwise its an interesting set-up. I wish they had better baristas & more seating.

This Starbucks is very good. The staff are amazing I love how they work. You can tell they love there job. They make any drink you want and with love. This restaurant is medium size. They are very organized. It be packed but they handle it very well that the line goes fast. They make you feel welcome. Everytime I order my drinks or my food is very good. I bought a croissant with ham and cheese and it was hot and tasty. I love coming to this Starbucks. I recommend to anyone. This restaurant is wheelchair accessible entrance. This restaurant is kid friendly. They follow CORONAVIRUS protocols.

I guess the back of house to go prep people forgot to take my donut out of its originalPackaging. I was more than disappointed to see that I paid $3 for a donut that was manufactured 10 days ago. I know that all of Starbucks pastries are not made in house or even made day of or day before they hit the shelf, but to sellMe a 10 day old donut for $3 is either marketing at its highest level, criminal or a little bit of both. Just know when you are buying food products at Starbucks they were most likely produced long ago somewhere far away. I will stick with DD going forward. My Frap wasn’t even that good. A total waste of money and calories.

Loved the old staff there, now with the pandemic i think they are running out of coffee or milk. My cup is starting coming about 75% fill out. you can put a grand coffee inside of a small cup and still not filling out.. (Old customer)

I love everything about the neighborhood and this cafe. Unfortunately today encounter with Kristen was not pleasant at all. As a former partner (GM @ Teavana) I never had a partner give me a venti cup 31/4 full because I asked for no ice. I proceeded to go back in after my wife handed me the drink that way with a 5.00 dollar bill. I waited patiently to be called, and when I reached the cash register I showed her the cup below she looked at it and stated that “this is how we do it when you order it without ice”.... really!! Kristen please work on your hospitality skills, when your dumping expired product daily it is perfectly fine to go above and beyond for the customer by topping off the drink. Kristen every customer is part of the family and without them you have nothing.

This location have horrible service , I had horrible experience this morning. The girl who made the coffee she had an attitude and an angry expression. Once we had ordered our drinks she started making the drinks for the people behind us in the line. This was so unfair and it took 18 minutes just to get our first order were there were barley any people. I had asked when the drink was going to come but she kept ignoring us and kept doing the drinks for the other people even though I was first in the line. In conclusion, they need to have employees that have better costumer service and have a better organization better serving drinks. I understand when a restaurant is busy but in this situation they were not busy! This girl need to find another job because this job does not seem for her. I will never come back again and I don’t recommend this place to anyone!

First time here the cashier was super friendly, however the barista was disgusting her service terrible! I’ve worked at a Starbucks before to know how to make a caramel ribbon crunch. I told her it was suppose to get dark caramel sauce on the bottom and she tells me no it gets regular caramel and the drink gets dark caramel sauce. She didn’t want to remake it for me.. unfortunately I left unsatisfied as I was leaving out the door she was talking about me to her other coworkers. This is as at 8:15pm 7/20.

The staff kept giggling and one of the coffees was underfilled. I said so and asked for a refill, which I dont normally do at other cafes. They just refilled the milk! The place is dirty and you have to ask them to clean it up if your table is dirty after the others. Usually waiters are supposed to wipe down the tables themselves without a reminder. I agree with the following that the music is a bit loud, you cant talk normally!

Most of the time the staff are rude, drinks are made poorly, they look miserable with their job, are not apologetic at all, and don’t follow directions regarding how we prefer our drinks, and often they’re out of so many things. Also, they blast the music so loud and as an occasional bonus, curse words too. You can’t even make a call or have a nice conversation without yelling at each other. It’s like you’re at a club. That’s part of the reason drinks are ordered incorrectly. The staff can’t hear anything. Some tables are missing chairs and the tables are usually very dirty. I do not recommend this Starbucks location at all.

Firstly i would like to say food and beverages are good however, the hospitality side of it isnt. The music being played was very loud i couldnt even hear myself think. To top it off the kind of music being played was perverse and inappropriate considering children and teens dine there. Also during my recent visit there was an employee making moaning sounds to a song being played. I’m 100% management wouldn’t allow this. I would only recommend this Starbucks as a quick in and out experience, very difficult to enjoy the ambiance.

They only have three people working there every time Ive gone, & one being the cashier. Two people to make the coffee when a lot of people are there. The last time I went I waited 20 minutes after I had ordered. I asked for a drink that I wanted Hot. He said they dont do that. Told me hell be charging me extra for it to be hot. Obviously, I got something else. I have been to other Starbucks where theyll put the same stuff that is in the Frappuccino I wanted, & put it in a Hot Coffee, or Cappuccino. Usually have no problem ever at Starbucks great products,, and great customer service, I usually never write reviews but Im not letting this pass. Just ordered two venti size drinks, and a sandwich. it is pouring rain outside, its a little heard to balance 3 item and an umbrella. I asked for a bag and was told they needed them for take out orders, not that they didnt have them, no they needed them. When I again said I needed a bag I was handed one large oversized bag that came with an attitude, the bag was too large for the items, I grabbed a cup holder, and sort of made it work, lost about 1/4 of each of the drinks by the time I got home. Its obvious this young lady needs to relearn customer service, and to leave her attitude at home, and not directed it at the customers who simply asked in a nice way to get a bag they are entitled to receive.

This is my local Starbucks so it kind of feels like home,but like home you love it even if its not perfect. That being said the staff is great and if theres a mistake its quickly remedied. However its often seriously overcrowded and a seat is extremely hard to come by. But overall its still one of the better Starbucks. Its quaint, clean and welcoming. Still my favorite one.

Penny pinching Starbucks they refuse customers cup holders now I have to walk with a bag full of spilled coffee. It’s only for delivery people and not customers who deserve the same service when needed. Why so cheap over a little cardboard holder? I take my wife her Starbucks every morning for the past year and never had a problem they always gave me one. Now I have no idea why they refuse to. Are they on a budget or something? Today was my 1st time at this particular Starbucks. It actually was a pleasure to walk in here to find the place nice and clean and the staff ready to help you looking neat and spiffy. I had an opportunity to meet with the general manager. He was one of the finest general managers that I have ever met considering all the years that Ive been going to Starbucks. This man was very accommodating and helpful to my needs. There was an army of partners waiting to help I guess the mass of people that walk in here on an hourly basis.The drink that I had and the breakfast item were just fine. This Starbucks probably gets very very busy because its on 1 of the busiest corners in Inwood. I highly recommended it great deal, so with your in the area or you are a local resident give them a try. You can even sit down and have a bite to eat. Enjoy!

In this place there is a lady who attended me yesterday on 5/24 who is of short stature, of color, with dark hair. At this point it is better not to go to this Starbucks at all. My son asked for extra dragon fruit on his drink, they told him he could not get extra, when it’s an order that we everyday, the lady always has an attitude or at least with me every time I go and it’s her shift, when I order my drink with extra caramel she never puts it, and when I say that it needs extra caramel, she then takes it and starts talking to the other employees with a disgusted face over my drink. And on top of all of that my order was given to me last when I was not near one of the last ones who orders, I ordered before other five people and everytime she gave someone their drink before mine she would look at me getting madder and madder because we both know I should of have my drink before the other five people who arrived after me, I don’t think she knows the measurements to the coffees because it tasted like water , this is not the same place as before.

Extremely noisy and relatively slow. Several people standing around behind the counter and there was a line. I dont mind loud music, but combine that with face masks and Shields and its impossible to hear what youre ordering.

First and foremost its a Starbucks so if youve been to one youve been to all, basically. This one tends to be on the slower side on making drinks so add about 4 minutes to a wait of usually 12 minutes for each person in line. I dont order any complicated drinks here but my friend does and usually hers are not always done the right way for her.

Friendly staff, lots of seating (I can always find a seat), decent stock of products (rarely emptied out).There is often a decently-long line, especially around lunch time. So plan to wait up to 10 minutes in line plus 10 minutes for your drink.

The environment here is one of a kind. As soon as you step in you feel the warmth and the holiday spirit. The baristas are always smiling, and their customer service is spectacular! I have had the pleasure of meeting their store manager (Romi) and his team is a reflection of him. My drinks are always made to perfection and the store is always held to the best cleaning standards. I love coming to this Starbucks!

Employee with beard two hand in length that have the time to play with their phones. I found hair in my coffe from his beard and this is insane if there was no stars I will rate 0! Change employees, this one with long beard that laughs all the time making fun of customers is the worse !!!

Rudest place ever. Ordered food a coffee through uber eats. Food was expired, it literally had mold on it. I called to let them know. I was hung up on twice. The coffee was also really bad and diluted. Very poor service and over all rude people.

Great Starbucks! I tried ordering a drink that included lemonade, but learned immediately that because of shipment problems, the store did not have lemonade. I switched my order and the manager came over and gave me my drink for free to make up for my not being able to get my preferred drink. While I certainly know this cant be the norm and I understand sometimes things run out in stores, it was an immediate and very kind gesture that was unexpected and more than made up for my not getting my first choice. Everyone smiled and was kind and it was just a great atmosphere.

I went to Starbucks today just like I have done for pretty much every day since they opened. The manager was taking my sale. When she asked me what I wanted to drink I jokingly said “cause you don’t already know” and rolled my eyes. This turned into a huge mistake. Johelis then told me I couldn’t have a drink and that I needed to leave the store. When I asked her why she called the police and refused to talk to me at all. I repeatedly asked her why she was doing this and she would not tell me. As I stood there being heckled by the other emloyees, Travis was the name of one I think, videotaping this ridiculous situation. The highlight was when they jokingly yelled at me infront of everyone in the store “where is your privilege now?” I was laughed at and treated like nothing in a store where it’s all too common. I shouldn’t have to go somewhere else because the staff doesn’t like me. The way I was treated was like I was nothing, I have come in every single day, the amount of money I have spent at that store and I get treated like a joke. You guys should honestly be ashamed of yourselves. You have no rite treating someone like that. Absolutely disgusting.

Best Starbucks location, best service, highly impressed.I come here a couple times a week. I used to live near one in the Bronx that had similar service, but then moved to Harlem and the service at the 145 and Bradhurst Avenue always got my orders wrong or gave me attitude when making my order. Its not a complicated order, its a regular iced chai, with one less pump of chai.I wrote Starbucks off. I swore Id never return to one because of the stress it caused me.Well, then comes this magical place. This locations managers and staff are wonderful and really know customer service. I go in, they know my order, they remember my name, they are cordial and when I sometimes see them in the neighborhood they always say hi and are just simply the most amazing humans.

General disclaimers about Starbucks aside....usually they are all very consistent. This one seems to have a disparity in barista training. On the positive - they are all enthusiastic and positive with a great sense of humor. Downside is that the register people dont seem to know their menu and have some really strange ideas about drinks and their baristas dont always read the orders despite (smartly) using the printed version over hand-marked cups.

My friend lives down the street so I go here like once a week. The first few times I came it it was really nice, and the guy at the register was alrigt. But the more I come in the ruder the staff is. They really act like youre an inconvience. The guy behind the register is extremely rude, he just sits behind the register on his phone and wont even look at you when you tell him your order, I had to repeat my order like 3 times. I never post reviews but this was just awful. I got nervous and said a hot frappe by accident and he says thats COLD in the rudest way ever lmao if this happened while I was a barista I wouldve been fired.

Im a partner with the company, working at another location, but I live closest to this one. I went in today because I just wanted to get a coffee while I was out. The line was almost out the door, which is kind of typical with Starbucks on a Sunday. The staff was doing everything they could to make it a good and quick experience for every customer. Once I was waiting for my drink to be called, one of the other partners went over to the bar to try and help get drinks made faster while the (assumed) shift supervisor was in the back bringing out more inventory to help move things along. She busted through the door being really loud and frantic, telling said partner to Please stay on register. Im very stressed out right now, making the environment very uncomfortable and tense.Although Ive only been with the company for a little less than a month, I know that this is not how we are supposed to represent the company, and that is not how we should talk to each other in front of customers.This was the first time I had been to this location, and Im very sorry to say that Im not sure thatIll be returning.

I have some deep feelings about this Starbucks location. Not because I love Starbucks, but because there are changes afoot in this neighborhood and this place is a metaphor for many of them.Lets start with the fact that it exists here a all. Whenever a Starbucks comes to a neighborhood in NYC its a sign not of impending gentrification, but of solidly underway gentrification. Starbucks is not showing up in the hopes that gentrified folks are around, and looking at the people who live mostly on the west side of Broadway? Its clear: the gentrifiers have succeeded.This Starbucks also here because other cafes have paved the way. In the last 10 years we went from having no cafes to having a burst of a ton of cafes to having fewer cafes because many of them didnt make it. Why? There are a lot of reasons, but the biggest is because its an expensive business. You have to balance a lot of things. And you need a clientele willing to pay certain prices to keep you afloat.Even in a gentrified nabe like this one there are still a ton of people who are concerned with authenticity and local-ness (as long as those things are made to feel comfortable and welcoming to THEM and not necessarily the people who lived around here before them). So I can see them eschewing the Starbucks in favor of Darling Coffee down the road. Those people can keep that place.After having spent several days in this Starbucks writing, working, and people watching, heres what Ive noticed about it: a true mix of people comes in here. Yes, you have the white folks, the hipsters, the yuppies, and the baby carriage pushers. Those arent the only people who come in. There are plenty people of color, especially Dominicans, who drop in for coffee or stay to work or hang out. This place is pretty hoppin on weekend afternoons and on some weeknights. The people who work here are mostly brown, and as a brown person I appreciate that. Contrast this with the very white clientele and staff of Darling Coffee or even Taszo down in Wa-Hai.Curious, that. A chain coffee shop draws a more diverse clientele than the local shops not so far away? How is that possible?Maybe because Starbucks isnt only here for the gentrifiers. Maybe because the people of Inwood are a bit tired of local places that arent so friendly toward what we consider local people.One of the biggest drawbacks to this place is how few seats there are. A communal table in the center seats 6, bar seating by the window seats maybe 4, tables in the back corner can fit up to 8 if everyone is willing to get snug. I usually find a seat, even if I have to wait for a bit. Its worth it.There are outlets, there is free wi-fi, there are good drinks (chai latte, come to mama), there are friendly people. I would spend all my days here before I spent an hour in certain other cafes.I wish that theyd gone for a bigger space with this location. I wish that the other cafes in this neighborhood hadnt disappeared or made themselves unfriendly toward certain people. I wish we didnt need chain cafes to make other places step up their game. I wish hipsters and yuppies hadnt discovered Inwood. I wish a lot of things.
