I’ve been dining at Pershing Square since it opened in the late ’90s, and it’s still one of my go-to spots, even now, when I no longer live in the NYC area. Conveniently located across from Grand Central Station, I find myself stopping in not just when I have a train to catch, but whenever I’m in the area. The menu may be limited, but I see that as a focus on quality over quantity. They always have a great wine selection, and the service is consistently attentive. Sure, I could go to ‘fancier’ places, but what keeps me coming back is the welcoming staff, the excellent food, and the attention to detail that Pershing Square is known for. I truly hope they’re around for as long as I am.
The atmosphere of the establishment felt a bit off, with aspects that could really use some improvement in terms of service. Despite this, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which exceeded my expectations. Each dish was well-prepared and flavorful, making the dining experience much more enjoyable than I initially anticipated.
It’s a restaurant that is a waste of money and loss of feelings. Usually in the morning, I like to eat here because it‘s easy and comfortable. But recently, I’ve had a very bad experience. Ordered a medium- rare steak, but the meat is very tough and very difficult to cut. Moreover, I forgot the Airpod at the store and called back and forth to get a rude and disrespectful answer. That don’t have not here. Why didn‘t you treat it? And I myself opened the GPS location and found that the staff in the store was the one who took it. In addition, the answer I got was from the Host and manager. I will not forget this experience.
Its fine. I was expecting more from the food given the atmosphere and the prices. But, it was pretty standard. The orange juice was good, however not $10 good (especially when I can go to any juice bar in the city and get a larger one for the same price or cheaper).I got the eggs benedict and it was good, solid even but was pretty standard for what youd expect. The eggs were slightly overdone so not as runny as I wanted but can understand that poaching perfectly at scale is a tough skill. The service is amazing, everyone was very attentive and nice. The aesthetic is also great.
There are few places to get Belgian waffles a lot of places do pancakes but let me tell you this place does not disappoint although they were super busy they get the food out fast the presentation was wonderful and the quality was great the service was top-notch. (Although you do specifically have to ask for ice with your water if thats what youre into). I would definitely visit this place again next time Im in town
Such a cute place right outside of Grand Central Terminal. My friend and I had breakfast here and their French toast was delicious. Our server was very kind and kept the coffee flowing and was very attentive. There is also a place to check your baggage if you need, which was very helpful for us since we were heading to the airport after!
We stopped in here for breakfast on a Saturday morning in NYC. We were seated immediately and ordered with ease. The menu was simple, but everything we got from the eggs Benedict to the corn beef hash was fantastic. The corn beef was fresh. The fruit smoothie we got was made with real fruit and was a delight. Would definitely come here again!
Everything was going well until til towards the end of the meal. This server came to the table and started clearing when we weren’t finished. He started taking the placemats and we were still enjoying our coffee and tea. We have to remove our cups from the placemats for him to remove them
TERRIBLE. HORRIBLE. SERVICE. DON’T GO.For a place that’s so central and historic, you’d expect it to be full, but it isn’t because of the terrible management. We had a man greet us at the host stand, who I assumed was the manager, in a very hostile manner. Asking us, a group of 6ppl at 12:30pm, THREE different times to really read the menu before he’d seat us and promise him that we’d be order food. Even though after he asked us if we were getting food the first time, we assured him we would be. He then asked us to step aside, with no one behind us in line, to read the menus and make sure we’ll eat. We said yes yet again. And he said we only seat people in the back if they are eating. Because if we just wanted a coffee we’d sit in the front area which had uneven tables, chairs that wobbled and left uncared for. After confirming three times that we’d be consuming food, he said he could seat us and asked if we wanted to sit outside. Which we didn’t, because it was 87 degrees outside. He then seated us in the front area where he referenced for drinks only.I’ve dined here one other time and had great service and was ALLOWED to sit in the main dining room. But this time was absolutely horrible. The food was good, but not amazing. We ordered three burgers, and they all came well done. Though we asked for medium, medium-rare and medium well. They were all “Buzz Burgers” which came with avocado and special aioli and none of them came with that. We had to ask for it.Very disappointing because they had three burgers on the menu, veggie, turkey and beef. And if you order the beef patty it automatically comes with the avocado and aioli… so how is it that they forgot the menu?
Mediocre food… had the pot pie… wasn’t really flakey pastry… was more of a shortcrust. Service wasn’t great. Was 8 minutes before someone came to me (Wasn’t busy) despite the server coming to the table next to me multiple times. Takes very little effort to say, thanks for your patience, I’ll be with you shortly. Anyway… 3 stars… about as average as average can be.
Found this gem of a restaurant while visiting New York with my daughter,Went in for breakfast which I must say was amazing as was the restaurant itself but the extra special moment was the time the owner took to come over and welcome us to New York and to his restaurant and bit crack on about football with been from Newcastle,Highly recommend this place and will be visiting Pershing square again👌👌👌
Place was good, their pancakes were tasty but I considered them a bit thin. Very pricey items
Classic New York layout and atmosphere here. Wonderful service. Serves plenty of business-goers for breakfast before they begin the day around the buildings and also those looking for a quick shot of coffee. We had breakfast here and in particular the eggs set - was well done overall though nothing too fantastic I would say. Very American style and a good decent one at a pretty reasonable price. Alfresco dining also available. It can get pretty noisy indoors as well due to the morning crowd. Located within Grand Central Terminal and very visible once you exist via 42nd Street. Heard their waffles are great too; will be back to try in the future and maybe for lunch!
Still one of the best American breakfast you can get in Manhattan, after all these years.Every time I bring family or friends to discover this, it reaches top 3 of good souvenirs
We called for breakfast before visiting Summit One Vanderbilt and we couldnt fault a thing. The french toast and eggs benedict were amazing, freshly prepared and served quickly. We even got to sit on Johns table
We arrived early at the train station for our train so we decided to look for a spot to grab a bite to eat. What a gem of a place. We had a wonderful meal and was able to sit and catch our breath after a long day of walking. It was perfect. The restaurant was dimly lit, very romantic and the food was delicious. I highly recommend this spot.
My daughter has her 17 birthday party there last night and enjoyed it. Her hamburger was amazing. The staff was very friendly. I ate many times in the early 90’S and it was packed.
The Pershing Square is a top notch restaurant located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, across from the Grand Central Terminal. In June of 2023, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at Pershing Square and we thank the staff for providing us with a wonderful dining experience!!!Both my wife and I were warmly greeted by the restaurant’s staff and were quickly provided with a table. My wife and I loved with the restaurant’s interior design and were impressed with its convenient proximity to many of New York’s notable destinations, ranging from the Grand Central Terminal, the New York Public Library and the Summit One Vanderbilt. The Pershing Square has been featured in numerous televised programs and movies, most notably the Avengers, which was partly what drew my wife and I to dine at this restaurant. Our server, Sanita did a great job on noting our orders, addressing our inquiries and offering great meal recommendations. Kudos to Sanita for her excellent service!!!Both my wife and I found our meals to be well cooked and perfectly delicious!!! Our meals could not have been made any better!!! I ordered and enjoyed a Turkey burger based entree while my wife loved her roasted chicken based meal. Our entrees were followed up with a superb cheesecake dessert!!!Thank You Pershing Square for providing us with a well-made meal and great service!!!
Wonderful place to go for breakfast near Grand Central Station. Their breakfast potatoes are among the best I’ve ever had. Egg sandwich was delicious The orange juice was fresh squeezed, and everything was perfectly cooked. There was a line to get in, but it moved very quickly.
Loved it, feels like a special place. Food and service was brilliant.
Amazing ambience and service with great food. Tried their french toast with cappuccino.Loved the place.
Terrific pancakes (I had the ones with blueberries) and french toast too. Nice atmosphere. Very good American coffee, the best I had in town!
Amazing location and atmosphere, the choice of teas were good. The trapot didnt pour, it dribbled, all over the table. I pointed out to the serve staff that a teapot that cant pour should not be in their collection. They didnt even take it away and bring me a working teapot. I had 3 cups drunk and about the same on the table. The chicken pot pie sounded good and was mostly delicious- the peas were a bit to hard, crunchy for my taste.
Great breakfast spot. Nice varied menu and all the food out group had was excellent. I enjoyed the oatmeal with a side of berries. All the servers were very efficient and courteous too. Will definitely return.
Another great place where to have early breakfast located just in front of Grand Central. Service impeccable and quick. The food is excellent. French Toast is sublime 🙌
A nice place for lunch across from Grand Central Station. My burger was cooked perfectly. The meat to bun ratio was a bit off, but it was tasty nonetheless. Nice service. Reasonable prices for the area. Nice outdoor seating if the weather cooperates.
The place is really nice, the food can be better, it’s famous for the pancakes and the French toast. I got the avocado toast, it’s how I benchmark the taste of a restaurant.I will come back for another try, and I’m sure it’s gonna be better.
We had made reservations thinking that it was going to be busy, but when we arrived, the place was empty. The service was good, and our server was able to give me a good suggestion for wine to have with my steak. The atmosphere was relaxing and appropriate for a date night with my husband.
Amazing place with great food! We tried both breakfast and lunch, and both were outstanding. The service was excellent—the manager and all the servers were super friendly and attentive.
We were sat immediately but then our server approached us and said nothing expecting us to know what to do. So overpriced. Food was not good, eggs are wet, the potatoes are cold and flavorless. When our food was brought to us the food runner made us reset up our table before giving us food. Our food took forever and overall it was not a good experience. The only good thing about our experience was the host wearing a pink scrunchie
The food is great, the hosts are rude. The waitress is borderline racist. She served my stepmother poorly for being Mexican and it became worse once she accidentally spoke to the waitress in Spanish.
We popped into Perishing Square for breakfast before spending the day on foot gallivanting around NYC and my word… it was THE BEST breakfast. I absolutely loved the waffles. It was very busy and for good reason.. this place is a must visit if you need a breakfast while visiting New York!
I visited Pershing Square in NYC for a quick brunch, opting for a glass of water and a bowl of chicken soup. Unfortunately, the brunch menu left much to be desired, with limited and unremarkable options. However, the restaurants space was undeniably beautiful and spacious, making it an ideal spot for people watching. While the food may have been underwhelming, the ambiance and atmosphere of Pershing Square provided some redeeming qualities to the overall experience.
A delightful scenic venue and good service with solid food for NYC Madison Avenue. Its a historic place and they make it special for tourists and New Yorkers! Had a turkey burger....tasty and well seasoned....the home fries were incredible! Check it out....
Never fond of establishments, that will stick a gratuity charge to your bill for all party sizes. When asked why, they said Oh, its the holiday season? Really?Service was okay
This place is a great American 🇺🇲 diner and restaurant! 🍴 Pershing Square is beautifully located under the Grand Central Terminal bridge 🌉 and has a wonderful variety of classic American dishes 🍽️ and breakfast 🍳 items. Definitely try the New York 🗽 Style Cheesecake 🍰 and Granola Yogurt! Service is quick and staff 👨🍳 is super professional! I wish I came here more often!
The pancakes were good and the freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. The prices were a bit too high, but every restaurant is expensive in NY.The hostess was polite, however there was a long wait time from the time we sat down to when the waiter came to ask what we wanted to drink (~7 mins). Also, he only attended us 3 times; when he took our order, brought our drinks, and when we asked for the bill. It’s a nice place to eat at but I wouldn’t go again because of the service.
We had breakfast here before going to a Broadway show and it was very nice. We had a booth at the back which was great, if you can get those I recommend it. I love the old feel of the building which is under a bridge. Food was good and had big portions, I recommend the avocado toast.
Gorgeous diner, we were made to feel very welcome. Fast efficient and friendly service - encouraged family time. Always packed and drop ins queue, so booking is essential. We had our first breakfast there after we were married.Highly recommended to eat here while you stay in New York.
Our flight was delayed due to weather, and we happened across night this great place and ate so glad we did! The service was fantastic, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was awesome! If we ever make it back, this will be at the tip of my list to revisit!
Absolutely terrible service and experience. I asked for tap water and they gave us bottled still and charged us $10 (x2) for it. Never said there would be a charge for it. Server was difficult to hear and understand. Chicken sandwich was dry. Overall negative experience was only made worse when the manager accosted us for not tipping more because their servers make the majority of their wage from tips. Maybe pay your servers more? Maybe have better service that warrants a higher tip? I don’t appreciate being accosted and being told it’s because me and my party don’t understand “New York tipping culture” as if NYC is the only city in the world with tips.
Very classy retro style cafe with friendly service and great food and coffee! It actually looked closed from the outside but we decided to cross the road for a closer look. So glad we did 👍🙂Will return again before we head back to Australia 👍❤️🙂
Famous for being the cafe used in friends with benefits right opposite grand central station. We had a good breakfast although a little expensive for what we had.2 coffees, 2 OJ and a breakfast each set us back over $60.Whist the food was good you could have received the same for cheaper at a local diner, guess youre paying for the name of the place as well. The staff were polite enough but didnt really seem interested in us, I would have understood if the place was busy but it was less than half full so not ideal. It was nice but I wouldnt go back...
Service was friendly and warm!! The restaurant was busy but they are efficient and don’t waste time getting people seated. Food was good — the eggs Benedict came overcooked but the server quickly had them remade. The home fries were delicious!
Excellent, kind and attentive server George, nice ambiance, spectacular location on E.42nd street directly across the covered street from the beautiful and Majestic Grand Central Station.Food was well presented and delicious, speciality drinks were also good and well presented. Skirt steak was a little under cooked at first, but came back at the perfect temperature, and was delicious. The place gives you a sense of going back to an earlier period of time in NYC, but with modern amenities.I would highly recommend a city visitor to try this place out, and having worked in NYC for many years, I can honestly say it’s a good place with good value.
I got the eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon and toast. And that was $ 22, and it sucked. $6 regular coffee..... +Oj which was $10 orange juice 😳 The server never came to refill the waters or the coffee. When my meal came the server never came back so we didnt have butter or jelly. Complete disappointment. You dont go
For me this is the best breakfast place in New York, good location, good decoration, good food, best service,as a foreigner on vacation from Indonesia I love this place.Everyone should try this restaurant !
Lovely breakfast we had here! Great place, quite spacious and nice choices. I had my eggs royal and loved it. The service is nice and I have no complaints. Bathrooms are clean so Im fine...
We needed a quick, restorative cappuccino and bite to eat to fuel an afternoon of sight seeing after a long drive to NYC. Pershing Square more than exceeded our expectations. We were quickly seated, served the best cappuccinos, the tuna tartar was divine, and the service was warm and expeditious. We left restored, refueled and ready to glow!
This place is perfectly located under the bridge right in front of Grand Central Station on 42nd Street. Looks are deceiving because from the outside it looks like a very small diner, but once you walk in it is pretty spacious. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Highly recommend this place if youre near the area and want to stop to have a bite to eat.
Classic NewYork city place, as nice on the outside as in the inside, food served is delicious. Seems to be a toutist trap, but no! This is a really nice place to have the salty/sweet complete breakfast you are loocking for!
Stopped in for breakfast with a good friend. Orange juice was fresh and delicious. Ordered eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast. The eggs were scrambled to perfection. The bacon was cooked perfectly as well as the home fries. Everything was super fresh and amazing!
Horrible Bruce the rude manager seating assistant . Having a coffee and waiting for my daughter as I was ordering a breakfast the manager shouted at me infront of the whole restaurant - telling me I must not know how a business runs and ‘this must be my first time in New York - I advised 25 years… he shouted and I don’t know how it works’ - I could have easily moved to the bench to wait - no way to speak to customers. He was so aggressive I felt he might be violent that I left - so dreadful I am truly shocked and advise any women alone never to go there
Good ambiance, nice, clean and spacious from inside. Some seating area offer some views of grand central station.Orange juice was freshly made, delicious and much better than orange juice at juniors. Smoothie was also tasty but expensive.Vegetable omelette could have been better. We found juniors restaurant vege omelette better. Some water got left coz of spinach. Potato fries were tasty but not as good as junior’s restaurant. White toasts were ok, not like fresh tasty white bread.Service was great. Don’t order English tea. As you can see in the photo, it wasn’t strong. Overall we enjoyed our breakfast because of nice cozy environment.
This place was amazing! The food was delicious, service was great and it has the best ambiance, especially if you go during christmas! It looks small from the outside but it is actually large. I highly recommend!
Excellent food! I visited Pershing on a Saturday morning to have brunch. The atmosphere was great there was a lot of people and the feeling of being there was festive. An older gentle man at the door in suit was very welcoming. The food is filling and great comfort food! my friend had the chicken soup and highly recommends it! considering the location the price was awesome approximately $21 for the meal I ordered below.
Busy but service was good! The food yummy, perfect spot for lunch
I invited an out of town friend to breakfast at Pershing Square Cafe and neither of us were disappointed! I had requested a booth by the window when I made the reservation and got it! Our waiter a pleasant and friendly young man called Gaverick gave us excellent service! The avacado toast with boild egg and feta cheese was delicious and the toast was crispy! The small salad that came with it was fresh and not soggy! They said the coffee is a special blend and indeed it was! Would definitely go there again!
Super good breakfast.I was so hungry this morning and walked into the first breakfast place I saw. And was I right?!!!The place is super cute looks like an old train station but with pops of colors and coziness. Food is excellent. The homemade hash/potato is the best I have tasted. The nicely caramelized onion and perfectly toasted crispy skin potato chunks are absolutely excellent. Egg Florentine is tender and packed with texture and flavors. The egg is well poached, spinach withered but not greasy, English muffins are just slightly burned with a warm toasty flavor perfect to wrap up the creamy running yolk and slight bite of spinach.Happy eating
A real breakfast opens early. Outdoor seating is perfect to enjoy the cool morning breeze. Coffee is refillable. You can enjoy sitting for hours.
It is one of the fastest serving restaurants in New York City. I enjoyed the NY Chicken Pie and some fries. I was seated without any comments about my short sleeved t-shirt, and the waitress didn’t take too much time to attend to me nor too fast. It was the same situation with serving the food and the check.
This is a nice American Diner just under the bridge at Grand Central Station. Its a big place with lots of tables inside the diner. Service is very good and the staff is polite too. Not the most authentic American Diner but its decent nonetheless. While you are here as a tourist, dont miss the Grand Central Station.
I got food poisoning from eating the eggs Benedict…. Still recovering won’t be coming back… the service and atmosphere was great but unfortunately the food was mid and as expected the prices are high! Just for looks here!
Very New York.I have been in this place like 8 years ago.Same nostalgic feeling.Food was good, staff were very good. Will come to this place with my family in near future.
Could have gotten a 5 star if they cater for gluten free. No gluten free bread/toast. I got the two eggs with corn beef hash. Absolutely delicious with generous portions. Also they don’t have sriracha!!! What???? We’re in NYC… no gluten free baked goods and no sriracha. Boo! However, their coffee was delicious. Staff was friendly and great service.
After a red eye flight ✈️ and train ride, Central Cafe is a quick meal! We had an omelette, oatmeal, and scrambled eggs. The cappuccino was delicious!
Food was good. Nice diner atmosphere. Service was ok. Great location if you are going through Grand Central.
I went to Pershing Square when I was visiting new york last summer. I have got to say, they have the best desser menu and some of the best people working there. Very cool and nice guys, I will definitly go there again.Update: went there again this year and i ask you all to try the Paris tea, its amazing. The cheesecake, although a bit pricey, tastes very well, worth a try!
During my solo trip to New York City, I had breakfast at Pershing Square, which was recommended by a local. I ordered blueberry pancakes with bacon on the side and black coffee. The place was big, clean, and beautiful, with a great atmosphere. I got seated quickly, and the service was fast and polite. The prices were not low, but reasonable. Highly recommended for a satisfying breakfast experience. 5 stars! 🌟
First we had dinner and decided to take breakfast at the next day. It was awesome. Even dinner or breakfast was great! We had that feeling of the old diner from the 60ies. Very very kind waiters. And i personally loved the breakfast!
Right after a visit of Grand Central Terminal, I was delighted to find a nice brunch next to it.The venue is really good looking as it is standing beneath the road heading to the Grand Central Terminal building. I liked the train style legacy of this restaurant. We took two starters. Avocado toast and Granola yogurt. Overall, those dishes were good. However Id recommend some twists to fully enjoy them.Avocado toast and hard boiled eggs are not a good mix in my opinion. Id add benedict eggs instead to fully get the yolk taste on the avocado. Moreover, the avocado is nice but would be way more tasty if it was prepared with more spices and shallots. However I loved to fact that the toast was intact and not wet so you could fully enjoy the toastie taste. As regards to the granola yogurt, Id say theres too much granola and not enough yogurt. So that you cant avoid a dry dish when finishing yogurt, left with some granola only. Adding some blueberries and removing some granola would make it perfect.Id recommend this restaurant for a nice brunch experience if you are around the terminal and want to breakfast without going to far.
The value for what you get here is the worst Ive had in NYC. $20 for a waffle and $10 for a couple small slices of deli ham, $10 juice, ect - all too expensive for what you get in quality (even for NY). Location was great but I would not come back.
Great breakfast place! I tried the egg Benedict with salmon one day and the healthy breakfast another day during our stay in the city. Service is good but the place is a little busy.
First they totally messed up my order. The staff was pretentious. And they have a stupid dress code for a breakfast place. No tank tops. The food isnt impressive at all, and lack flavor.
Fantastic food we had French toast & Corned beef hash for breakfast. Great service very prompt & polite nice experience.
Very cool location but the frequent angry honking horns could (but didnt) put a damper on the mood. Nice view of Grand Central Station, nice outdoor walkway seating, and good photo ops with the outside statues.
For what is essentially a rush hour, lunch hour, midtown diner, Pershing Square bears the opulence of what one associates with that NYC glamour of the 40s, 50s, and 60s thanks to the surprisingly large space, wood interior, and comfortable booths. At times it can feel a little too big and underpopulated, but now that the pandemic has receded hopefully that will be the exception and not the norm.I brought my kids to eat here, after wanting to visit forever, and while the service was a little on the slow side, the food was top notch. That combined with the convenient and unique location makes it a great place to stop by whether you’re visiting or a regular.
The place under the bridge has a wonderful, old-style New York City vibe. The staff are friendly, and the food was good, though a bit expensive. The place is lovely.
The best breakfast place we visited in the 5 days we were in nyc everything was amazing from the food to the staff and to the setting and surroundings
Can probably stay around here for a few hours and not get bored.
The food was good, reasonably portioned, the staff listened to my specifications, and the prices arent that outrageous. It was difficult to flag down waitstaff after I sat down, however, even though it wasnt busy.
I had the breakfast sandwich and Belgian waffles. Very tasty everything. Hot chocolate was good but the cups a little small. Coffee has free refills though. Ambiance was very nicely decorated for the holidays.
We ate our first breakfast in New York here. We had Eggs Benedict and French toast, each with a fruit juice. The weather was nice and we decided to eat outside. Since it was only 7 oclock, there were hardly any guests and we were served promptly. The food was good but not outstanding. The prices, on the other hand, are quite high and we spent almost $70 for breakfast for two, including tip. Despite the nice service and good food, I think its too expensive. There are cheaper but just as good alternatives for a decent breakfast in New York.
As someone visiting New York City, where summer temperatures frequently soar, I was surprised and disappointed to learn that Pershing Square enforces a dress code that prohibits men from entering with sleeveless shirts. In the sweltering heat of a New York summer, dressing in lightweight and breathable clothing is not just a preference, but a necessity for comfort and well-being. Sleeveless shirts are a practical choice for many men, allowing them to stay cool and comfortable in the oppressive heat and humidity. While I understand the desire for establishments to maintain a certain standard of dress, it seems unreasonable to enforce such a restrictive policy during the hottest months of the year.In a city known for its diversity and progressive values, it is disappointing to encounter such outdated and arbitrary restrictions. I urge to reconsider this policy, taking into account the practical needs of their patrons and the realities of New Yorks summer climate.
We stayed at the Hyatt Grand Central and this was only a couple of minutes away. Such a convenient spot. We imagined there’d be a wait for breakfast but the place is so big, we got a table right away. Food was great, service was great and the prices were as expected.
Well, it seems they need a bigger bar because that’s where the party was. Mediocre service: ordered some sliders, wings and fries and only rcvd two of the three. Had to ask again for the third, and it was probably a task. Server apologizes and we’re good. Had to ask for water, tell them I wasn’t done with food before they tried grabbing it away..chill people! The place was just..meh. Really convenient if you don’t want hotel food…right across from Hyatt/Grand Central. The highlight was that their wings were in between regular sized wings and a full sized chicken wing..odd but I wasn’t complaining.
I spent 3 days in 70 Park Avenue Hotel. I walked past this place and finally I decided to eat here. I stop in and I ordered oysters . They were out of them. I ordered shrimp with a beer. Wow, I was impressed with the food and the service.
One of the worst places in nyc. You’d be better off eating out of a dumpster. The staff is extra rude even for nyc. The food is weak and the prices are high. The ONLY reason this place is in business is its proximity to Grand Central. Do yourself a huge favor and take a small walk over to the Red Flame Diner on West 44th street at 44th and 6th. Much MUCH better food, better prices and a warm and welcoming staff. Only reason I didn’t go to red flame today was the parade was blocking the route and I couldn’t get across. I’ll never stray again. TLDR: Pershing Square has bad food and even worse staff.
Food was nothing special. Service pretty poor considering it wasnt busy. Everyone sits on the outside tables which makes the atmosphere a bit weird
Ordered salmon Benedict and garden omelette.Salmon Benedict was so yummy but garden omelette was ok. Staff were friendly and the wait time on Sunday brunch was 2 min without reservation.
Well done. A breakfast treat just across from the celebrated Grand Central Station. Stone cut Oatmeal, a great start to the day, with ole ty of fruit! Hydrate, check please and on the way to a Big Apple day!
Not many vegetarian options / options for those with allergies. great atmosphere though.
Absolutely delicious food. The midday ambiance was a bit weird as the restaurant was mostly empty and our waiter seemed a bit spacy, but the lobster and gnocci blew our minds 🤩
If you are just getting off a train at Grand Central Terminal and need breakfast then this is the place. Just across the street from GCT exit. The service was excellent, food and price was just right
Nice vibes, good steak and eggs.
Late lunch after Statue of Liberty Boat tour. Really nice burger with exceptional fries, hubby had the fish and chips.
The waffles were amazing ! Cappuccino was good too, just not too warm the way I like it.
The food was fantastic! The wait staff was friendly and with a really busy morning they still made my aunt and I feel like a #1 priority. When I come back to New York that is where I will be getting my breakfasts!
Long line waiting to get a tablet for breakfast...I skipped the line and went straight to the bar where I was promptly served for breakfast. Rated as one of the best pancakes in NYC, so I ordered blueberry pancakes. They were outstanding. Highly recommend the original pancakes. Server/bartender, Alfredo, was friendly and service was excellent. Thank you for a great breakfast.
Great place to eat but very expensive for what you get. We were seated outdoors the first time and has a pleasant experience but seated indoors near the back second time and had to endure very loud noises from a busboy separating cutlery right next to us.
Ambient atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Festive decoration. Just perfect 😀
Had breakfast at a nice outdoor area, and paid about 40/person. Food was good. But was good, but obviously pricey.
Host staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating, but be aware there is no air conditioning in this restaurant. We ended up leaving our reserved table and going somewhere else for this reason.
Beautiful building. Great food and service. But expensive. Youve been warned 🙂
The place is right in front of grand central station, very convenient to reach with the subway. Pancakes are very good and the place is nice. However it was a little bit too warm inside, maybe too much humidity/moisture in the air. I suggest to book in advance to eat in the main room.
Always love coming here whenever I visit NYC. It can be packed at times but i always find seating whenever i visit. Brunch is always my favorite here - the chicken pot pie always hits the spot. Servers are really nice here and very accommodating.
I had an unprecedented experience this morning at my favorite breakfast place in NYC courtesy of Bruce the manager.I stop in here on every trip I make to NYC. I love the eggs benedict and especially the euro-style hot chocolate. This morning I got there with my son and got a booth. I was sitting sideways in the booth with my feet stretched out when Bruce came over and chastised me for sitting in a way, no restaurant anywhere would allow. At first I thought he was joking and kind of laughed. He wasnt. Because I didnt move quickly enough he told me, or you can leave.I moved my feet. I was dumbfounded. Ive been in this place a lot and seen kids jumping around and standing on the vinyl booth cushions. My son was in the restroom when the initial altercation took place and as I was explaining it to him Bruce came back and said, Ill tell you what, you can enjoy your breakfast today BUT then NEVER come back.I mean, I really dont know what to say. If he had a problem with how I was sitting he could simply have asked, sir can you please put your feet down or any number of things. I quickly complied and would have without the demeaning and bullying bombastic pronouncements and threats.I asked the waiter what Bruces name was and he apologized for his behavior. He also claimed to not know his last name. The food was great, as always, but Bruce is not well-suited to his position as a manager in the restaurant business.
A great evening meal. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Away from the hustle and bustle.
Seems like an iconic location under the bridge by Grand Central Station, service was good and many options for breakfast!
High end experience. Theres lots of local Deli or Diner you can find, this place is iconic, and located right opposite the magnificent Grand Central Station. Very classy, but definitely not all show. Great service (even though we were clearly tourists among some very serious business looking breakfasts) and my egg sandwich was delicious!
We came here for breakfast on our recent trip to NYC. It was great! I had the lox and cream cheese bagel. It was massive and so filling. My kids (7, 6 and 4) shared a pancakes between them as the portion size would have been too big otherwise. They tell me it was the best pancake ever. Our waiter dropped a tip and my son picked it up and went to give it to him. He told him to keep it. Very sweet. If we are lucky enough to come to NYC again we will go here!
Stopped in for a drink around rush hour . Had the Vanderbilt drink with gin ( you can get it with vodka too.) It had strawberry and rosemary and ginger I believe. Pretty good. I decided to get it since were right near Vanderbilt Avenue here. I think a lot of solo flyers come in and sit at the bar to get a drink before going across the street to Grand Central Station , as I did . I didnt get food but there were definitely people at tables eating. Staff are really friendly and professional. Dark and calming atmosphere.
The location is prime with plenty of seats. I heard a lot of good things about this place, however, my experience wasn’t great. The service was super slow and forgetful. They brought us breakfast menu and then we realized there is also a brunch menu and asked for it. It took forever until the brunch menu showed up. we were there around noon. I don’t know why they didn’t bring the brunch menu in the first place, I also asked for the lunch menu which never showed up on the table. I asked for the steak to be medium rare however, it came well done. I’ll give it another try next time since everybody talk good but as of now it’s 2.5 out of five for me by the way they also made mistake with our drinks. My bloody Mary went to my friend and her tomato juice came to me.
I was having a business meeting with 5 people and the manager was terrible! I ordered food and drink but the manager forced us to order more food and the food was terrible itself! Never going back!
Great spot for breakfast. Cant believe that we were sitting outside for breakfast on a late October morning
Enjoyed a nice lunch with family and friend. The service staff were very attentive. We all enjoyed our meal in this cozy restaurant.
Nice burger 🍔
This is a lovely place for a meal. Prices are reasonable and the bacon and potatoes are incredible. The butter is very tasty too. This is right outside grand central and a lot cheaper than the breakfast our hotel offered. The location is also great with grand central right opposite and times square, the new york library, 5th avenue and summit all being in walkable distance. The staff were also very accommodating with my mobility issues and there is wheelchair access. We ate around 9am and didnt need to wait for a table.
Excellent Service and Food. Real quick. Though expensive. $28 for pancakes and sausage or bacon$$$The Bloody Mary had way too much Horseradish!
Quality old style American cafe right next to Central grand station. I really liked the menu here, I had a buzz burger which was cooked to preference. Service in general and in particular the gentleman that served me was absolutely amazing. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food.
My BF and I enjoyed our food! The Vanderbilt wasn’t the best but it was okay.
Great service. Delicious food. Awesome service moment: our table was wobbly, but we didnt complain, one of the other workers noticed and decided to fix it himself!
The service was amazing, my family and I had the honour of being served by one of the waiters named John. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was very friendly, and he made sure to accommodate all of our needs.
This really cool historic place. You should stop for lunch or breakfast. Good food good menu, nice atmosphere, good service. Good all around. The only thing I didnt like was a fridge/display on the right hand side at the entrance, it was empty and look pretty ugly in my opinion. You want to see something nice when you first walk into a restaurant.
Amazing service and excellent French Toast and beautiful interior. 10/10 would recommend
Food was ok here, but thought I would give a word of warning for people with kids: they aren’t accommodating at all. That’s the reason for the 1st.
Very cosy, warm atmosphere. Servers are attentive & efficient. Food was fresh, service could have been faster & the wine was a bit on the warm side not really chilled may have been sitting out on a counter?? However Would definitely visit again because it was a overall pleasant experience having lunch in such an iconic Restaurant..
Great bar vibes. Love the bartenders. Food is lousy. Burger looks good not taste. Popcorn shrimps look good but also no taste.Convenient location for Grand Central.
Lovely cafe and delicious food in a very well preserved atmosphere. Staff is superb
Honestly, I didn’t love the fact that the changed their menu. Like why would you remove the guac? the gnocchi? But I went back and had the cavitelli and burrata and I truly honestly loved it.
The omelettes and Benedictine eggs are not good.
We popped in for a spot of brunch while we were in the area, hearing good things. Greeted by a nice guy telling us it was the best in NY. So we thought wed give it a whirl. We had banana pancakes and French toast, and it was delicious! The freshly squeezed orange juice was so smooth! Great service & a great breakfast. 👍
I really appreciate the work these guys have done recovering this space and transforming it in such a nice and cozy place. On top of that, kind and diligent service and tasty food
We had the brunch for 2 with the prosecco. Best pancakes I ever had!!! Our waitress was amazing!! She did everything to keep us comfortable. Thank you so much!! (dont remember the name but she is a really cute Latina girl, thanks again!!)
Basic yummy American breakfast. Both eggs and french toast dishes were great and delicious. Service in around 10 mins and you must try their coffee
This is a lovely restaurant opposite Grand Central with plenty of places to sit. The staff were attentive and delivered an excellent service! The French toast with bacon was out of this world!
Great space, friendly waiter, very helpful in our choice of food. Delicious/tasty food. We recommend
Atmosphere is really cool and interesting. Kind of feels like an old throwback to eating at a traditional New York diner. Menu is consists of classic American breakfast options such as waffles and pancakes, eggs Benedicts, beef and hash, etc. However, from a food perspective, it certainly doesnt live up to its appearance. I ordered the Salmon eggs Benedict and while not bad, its definitely not great. The Hollandaise sauce tasted kind of sour both the English muffin and Salmon tasted kind of old. Prices were a bit pricey for the quality, though it is midtown so what did I expect.Overall, its a very standard, run-of-the-mill American diner that benefits from their Grand Central location, but would probably struggle if it was located anywhere else given the quality of the food.
Nice spot for breakfast if staying at the Hyatt...
Neat place! Came here on the recommendation of a traffic cop we were talking to. Did not disappoint. Its a little pricey, but what isnt in New York, lol. The building is cute, and decor is quaint.
Prior to visiting the Summit attraction at the Vanderbilt, my daughter and I were searching a place to have breakfast and found Pershing Square in Google Maps. Once entering, I liked the classical ambiance very much and felt I went back in time. This restaurant fits perfectly under the Arch. To me, its a landmark! We enjoyed the food and it was delicious! Service was good. The perfect eating spot for those entering or leaving the Grand Central Station. Highly recommended! 👍👍👍
I stopped by after work for some food and drinks. The atmosphere is that of an upscale diner with good mix of locals, tourists and everyone else. I have to say that the best part was the drinks and our bartender Marc. I was in the mood for a different drink I didn’t see on menu but tried at another restaurant. I mentioned this green drink to Marc and to my surprise he was up for the challenge. A lot of place typically are funny about making a drink off menu. However, when I told Marc the ingredients not only was he up for the challenge and nailed it, I have to say he made it better. So if you’re ever in the neighborhood stop by and give this place a try. And, if you’re feeling adventurous and Marc is working ask him for this green drink (hint: Martini) you heard of it might be your new favorite too. Cheers!!!
I recently had the pleasure of having lunch at this conveniently located bistro, and I must say it was an entirely enjoyable experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and particularly cozy—something I can imagine being even more delightful in the colder months of fall and winter. The food here is good, to say the least. I opted for the chicken panini, and it was delicious. Beyond the great food, what really caught my attention was the speed and attentiveness of the service. Despite being a bustling spot, especially during lunch hours, the staff managed to maintain a fast and highly attentive service. All in all, this bistro is a fantastic option for lunch. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning when in the area.
All human life is here. Great spot for people watching outside. But there seemed to be a disconnect between the servers and whoever was pouring the drinks. Our guy kept returning to apologise for the delay- then our gin arrived with flat tonic. He was great, apologised and went to get it replaced with another G&T with flat tonic. Or was it the same one?
As I stepped into Pershing Square Restaurant in the heart of New York City, I knew I was in for a treat. The vibe was utterly captivating - a classic New York design that could give any other restaurant in the city a run for its money. From the get-go, I sensed the top-notch service which perfectly set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. What sets Pershing Square Restaurant apart from the other dining establishments in the bustling New York City food scene is how it manages to maintain a perfect balance between quality food, impeccable service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Youll never feel out of place at this spot, whether youre a tourist or a local, and youll never leave dissatisfied.Overall, I highly recommend Pershing Square Restaurant for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience in the city. The combination of amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service make it a must-visit for any foodie. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
Delicious food and fast service. Prices are adequat. Rather small servings.
Excellent breakfast , very good service & coffee , beautiful restaurant
Great service, fab food and a good location (opposite Grand central station) I joked that we wanted the nachos which wasnt on the menu for the time of day we went. Our server said, if we wanted nachos then they would make them for us. I had the beef and my partner had chicken. Best nachos Ive ever had. The food looked good and tasted even better. This is a place that we would definitely go back to if we ever visit new york again.
Elvis was the best . We missed our tour and came in really bummed out but he made our day!!He was really informative of where to go and gave us the best tips … he deserves a promotion.. I am in the hospitality business and he has exceptional customer service !!!!!
My favorite breakfast option in the neighborhood 😊Ask to sit on a bench, much better experience
It is the best place by far and all of MANHATTAN couples with their outside space with the second to none…
Such a disappointment in a lovely atmosphere….The place is lovely but unfortunately let down by the service and food. Waiting staff forgot part of our order. We had to ask for it twice and still didn’t arrive when we’d finished our meal. Had to ask for an extra place setting for my daughter and cutlery. Napkins were asked for twice. No one asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. My meal was cold and my daughters fries were covered in Salt, which is not acceptable for a 5 year old. When we asked for the bill, our plates were left and not cleared and remained there until we paid. Unacceptable service not warranting a tip. Waiting staff were all over the place and would benefit from being allocated a section of the restaurant each to care for in order to provide more focus and a better service
We love food, atmosphere, and service here. The inside looks like a nice, old fashioned, train car, which is fitting right next to Grand Central Station. The food is high quality and delicious, but pricey. They offer a wide range of food, drinks, and dining experiences with a restaurant, bar, and bakery. In the summer, they also have outdoor seating.
Unique spot near Grand Central. Definitely a New York vibe... bustling, high paced, ...a bit loud. Food was good. Prices were quite high for breakfast.
Street music too loud, food was good, saw server only 3 times, once to order, once to check us and once to get our bill, not very helpful
I dont generally leave reviews but it was such a unpleasant experience that I felt like I needed to. Mind you, I am one of thousands that come so I always say make your own judgement and everyone has off nights, could easily be one of those but this was my experience. We bought my friends mom here because she was visiting and had seen it in a bunch of movies and wanted to try. Sat down, and it took 20 minutes for anyone to come over. Didnt even recieve waters till 10 minutes after that. The only reason someone finally came over is because we flagged someone down. Ordering was fast, the server who helped us was nice and so was the runner. No complaints there. It did feel like we were rushed, but food came out very quickly (another good thing, thats not bad) but we barely had anyone come by.Check came and I feel they knew we might be unhappy with how things went because they added a 20% gratuity on our table if 3 even though they said thats for tables of 5 or more on their menu and site. Honestly it wasnt worth raising a stink over but it did leave a bad taste in our mouth.Again, could be an off night, everyone has those but it was still the experience we had and I cant really imagine coming back
Visited this place last month had a breakfast with my friend i ordered a BELGIAN WAFFLE they say its traditional, 100% organinal
Had dinner here on the advise of the Hyatt doorman… was great value and food was really good, very large portions for what we’re used to! Chicken pot pie, tartare, turkey burger and salad with salmon added were all great!
Slow service but good food. Very nice staff.
The traditional Bar, coffee and restaurant, this place is the best.I always dreamed of going into this cafe after I watched the movie Friends with Benefits. Is right in front of the Main Entrance of grand central station, easy to find it.
This place is a gem. We sat outside and had brunch at noon. My wife liked her granola bowl and my avocado toast with eggs was excellent. Service was good, ambience of sitting outside was excellent. Portions were more than adequate. Try this place you will like it.
Excellent food, super close to our hotel, no wait! Definitely pricey so be prepared for that!
Food was great! The crab cakes were the best. Good service.
Delicious breakfast! I read a review that the breakfast potatoes were good, and they were truly yummy! We went back the next day as well. Everything was delicious, but the only thing I didnt like was the bagel in the bagel and salmon dish. It was quite plain like one youd buy from a grocery store and not the famous NY style bagel. But the smoked salmon was good.Overall great experience!
Recommend to us by a friend and, Wow! It was so worth it! The food was fabulous and the service was amazing.. attentive and friendly.. nothing was too much trouble. If you’re visiting NYC as we did from the UK - this place is sure not to disappoint.
Inkredible place of sum memorahble ambiance. The svc wuz 1stklass, warm, friendly. We only had teas/coffees. Both were superior quality & plentiful, servd hot/fresh. & reasonahbly pxd. We lingered considrahbly long & they nevah pressured us.
We were seated immediately. The staff was very attentive, and thood came out VERY quickly! Plus it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! I will definitely be back!!
I will say a very nice and unexpected little place in the middle of Manhattan. The menu has a HomeTown feel with things like chicken pot pie lobster rolls and many other unpretentious choices. What a gem and shes located right next to Grand Central.
A little tuck of glass beneath the Park Avenue Viaduct, and isn’t that what New York is all about? I ride the Hudson Line in with my daughters for lunch and go back after. Meet here in the middle when I am Brooklyn and my friend is West Harlem. An easy place to go by train for lunch with aging parents. A neutral public place, a first date, a breakup. A business lunch, a place for listless teenagers. A hustle of servers, a tremble of traffic, the gateway to our towering cathedrals of civic ingenuity. A nice booth by the window, a quiet place to read, a respite. Good culinary menus with the easy spirit of a diner. It’s a little pricey but you should see what it costs to run a decent restaurant in New York. Bring a friend, go alone. Five stars.
It was one the worst lunch experience I’ve ever had. I am a Muslim and we don’t drink i just stopped by for coffee and dessert first the host welcomed us very aggressively then afterwards while we finishing our foods the manager came to us and started shouting around said we have to drink alcohol and claimed that this restaurant is not a charity however we already knew that… he was racist and disrespectful please be careful he could assault people…
Stopped in for breakfast. We had the stuffed pancakes and a eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Incredible ingredients and kitchen is kicking out incredibly high quality food but also very quickly. We waited less than 10 minutes for amazing food. Service is attentive, polite and quick. Great place to relax and enjoy. It is expensive and portions are not large but this is to be expected.
Long story short. PLEASE BE AWARE that: **everyone is required to order a breakfast plate by restaurant policy*, which I was told by my server. MOST IMPORTANT: This policy was not printed or listed on the menu at all.It was a super unpleasant experience at my first diner experience in New York. I walked in with my friend and she was craving pancakes because she was travelling to America but I am not. I usually skip breakfast so I decided to get a cup of hot chocolate to start my day. My friend ordered her plate of pancakes. We did not plan to share, nor we did not.I told the server that I only wanted a cup of hot chocolate. The server told me that, *by restaurant policy, everyone is required to order a breakfast.* I was like what the, there is NO written minimum amount to spend nor this policy was not listed on the meum at all.I told him that I do not eat breakfast and that I was not hungry at all. I just need a cup of hot chocolate. He insisted on telling me this was company policy. I asked if a side of house salad counts. He said ok , but I am not your server, and he would ask if he could do it. I was like, what the, you arent even my server and you trying to place the order for me? I have never experienced this situation happening in any American dining place before. This place made me, Wow?Anyway, he came back and told me that he could place an order for an (overpriced) side of house salad and a cup of chocolate for me.The only positive about this experience was that my friend truly enjoyed her overpriced pancakes, thats it.I was not happy that the menu did not even list the minimum amount to spend, nor the policy of minimum order for each person. Shamed of you guys for having over 4 stars on Google review. And this place deserves less than 3 stars on Yelp as well.I will never recommend this place to any of my friends traveling to New York until they fix their menu. My friends, please avoid this place and find a better place for a dining experience, until they clarify their policy on their menu. Stop making your customers feel trapped or tourist trapped, or confusing, or what so ever.
The atmosphere is cute and a throwback. Sadly, that is all I can say is a positive. The service is lacking and fruit flies run rampant. When the system for ordering and payment went down they refused to find an alternative solution for payment. We offered to pay by cash, credit card or check for our $30 bill. This refusal to find a solution caused us to miss our train. We even emphasized how we needed to leave to catch a train and wanted to find a solution with them within 10 minutes . It took over 45 minutes and quite a bit of negotiating for us to be able to pay. It was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
Best place I’ve been for breakfast worth the trip to here good service amazing etc
I’ve seen this place on the commute and thought it would be a nice decompression cafe/restaurant for after work. The interior is dated but in a throwback to old classic nyc style type of way. And is in general very inviting. I was seated quickly and in my own booth. Everyone who helped with service was prompt, polite, and warm. The menu was so limited and boring. I really didn’t want to order anything because there was NOTHING interesting! I needed up ordering a Waldorf Wrap which was off the specials menu. It was bland, lacked any type of flavor, the chicken seemed off. The fries were nice.I probably will not be returning again ever. Sad given it has such great location!
Was such a great opportunity to eat here. I was in my way out from Summit when we saw Pershing sq. Central Cafe. The food is so good and delicious 🤤. I was there for breakfast and these pictures for 10000 words. The staff is really friendly. The food is quality. I prefer to try cappuccino here. It will be my normal place to visit for breakfast meal whenever Im in New York.
I recomend it.Nice place. Around Gand Central Station 42 st.
Overpriced, poor service. Had the food been hot, though, it would have been pretty good! Too bad it was cold.
Gorgeous restaurant, very cool vibe and setting. Seated immediately at 11am, in a booth too! Staff were all smiles, friendly and well spoken. Food was DELICIOUS. I’m an extremely picky eater and I cleaned my plate, tried avocado toast & a chili aïoli and loved every bite. I would totally recommend and will definitely come back!
Everyone who visits NYC should stop here. Infamous and smack across the street from the iconic Grand central station. Amazing martini and the tuna tartare to die for as is the rest of the menu. Highly recommend. If get Leonardo as your server you’re lucky.
Loved their egg sandwich and really enjoyed the pancakes 🥞👌🏻The prices are hight and above average.
Not bad if you are hungry and just want something to eat.
Service was ok but food was expensive and really bad.We ordered a grilled Octopus salad and got something completely different. By the time we realized there was no octopus in this mixture salad, we already had eaten half of it. When we complained, they refused to refund or even discount because we had partially eaten it.I would definitely not recommend this place.
Ordered the three ingredient omelet with well done home fries. I ate it…Omelet runny undercooked inside, and considering the time it took to be served, they should have been. Careless. The home fries were not hot, not well done
Buzzing breakfast and brunch with all the classics done perfectly. Worth the few dollars extra compared to other maybe more unpredictable diners.
Searched google for breakfast and this place popped up. Excited to go. Right across from grand central station. Had to be good. We went inside and sat down ordered a orange juice. Very fresh! Good job on that. Would’ve like it a little colder but good. NY pretty expensive and my wife and I have been duped by reviews for food so we ordered pancakes and bacon.( to share because 4 pancakes for $21) Got the food and they came upside down. Ok… well we tried them and didn’t finish them. Got our check and left… I think this is to mainstream. Maybe try something else.
Decent place though a bit of inpatient services, the price is not very cheap so it may not be able suitable to locals but very good if you need a place to talk something fun! P.S. they forgot to refill my coffee for two times.
A very beautiful place under the bridge that leads to Grand Central. It looks like a fancy dinner. The food is good and service too. The toilets are clean. We came for the brunch. The prices are a bit high.
Ate here twice on our trip. Food is of a good standard but is expensive for what it was. You can get the same food within a couple minutes walk at a third of the price. In saying that the staff are friendly and the location is good. The restaurant has a nice feeling to the place
Wonderful place for breakfast!! Attentive and friendly service. Delicious food- eggs Benedict & pancakes are so yummy! Clean restrooms & a great atmosphere out on the patio. Would definitely recommend!
It’s pricey, but good. Fine dining and good food.
I ordered the tuna dish, it was tasty and filling, but it had the quail shell in it.
Rather pricy but delicious food & drinks.
An ok place for a quick breakfast. Eggs Benedict are quite fine, although they come with just a salad. Coffee latte is ok, but not great - the taste is rather bland. The service is quick and attentive.
Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the Grand Central location. We did not have reservations (breakfast) but were seated immediately. Fresh squeezed orange juice was great. Nicely decorated for the holidays.
TOURIST TRAP ALERT. the food is not even good and i understand that nyc is expensive but $10 dollars for orange juice? with no refills? what a concept. to clarify they do NOT have the best pancakes in NYC bc ihop exists. and how do you mess up coffee? tastes like garbage. avoid this place like the plague.
Right next to Grand Central Terminal, great way to start the day. Breakfast was tasty, service was friendly and attentive. Choice of indoor and outdoor seating. From right outside you can get a tour bus or find a train to anywhere else you want to go in New York.
One of the fastest serving in NYC.
An icon of New York dining, Pershing is definitely one restaurant you’ll want to add to your list of eateries while in New York. Situated right opposite Grand Central station it’s easy to get to. The ambience is upbeat and the surroundings are pleasant. Food prices are reasonable, the food tastes amazing and the staff are all really friendly.
