My new favorite speakeasy - its hard to find a quiet bar nowadays in the city where you can sit down and have a conversation without struggling to talk over loud music and this place pleasantly surprised me.Theres a nice restaurant/bar upstairs and a fancy speakeasy downstairs and the vibes were immaculate. Drinks are a bit pricey but the bartender and server were super friendly and gave us some free samples of things to try

We loved greywind when we went a few weeks ago so had to check out spygold now that it’s open! we each got a cocktail and shared the “chicken nuggets”. next time will have to get the sundae because the people next to us had it and it looked amazing. very intimate atmosphere, dimly lit, good for a date or to come with 1-2 friends.

Interesting living room speak easy style cocktail bar. On the pricier end but the ambiance is great. Enjoyed their mock tail sections where they call it placebos

One extra star for the cute vibes.Drinks are so out of balance, fizz was super sour and tiki was so sweet. I couldn’t have more than two sips.Fried “chicken nugget” turned out to be weird meat ball with peppers, I have no idea fried chicken could be bad.Stay away!

The Speakeasy Lounge at Greywind in Hudson Yards offers an intimate and cozy atmosphere that captivates with its fireplace and inviting decor. Tucked away in the restaurants basement, this hidden gem provides a small but excellent selection of snacks and classic and seasonal cocktails.I opted for a delightful purple sparkling cocktail, which, while visually stunning, fell short in taste. Nevertheless, the overall experience at this bar was thoroughly enjoyable, making it a worthwhile spot for a relaxed evening out.

I dont get why this place got such high reviews...We visited this speakeasy as we were around the neighborhood. Luckily we were able to get a table without reservations.Ordered the fizz, very very sour. We suspected that they accidentally doubled the lime juice. In addition, the lime juice doesnt taste fresh. Instead, its like store bought lime juice which you can keep in your pantry closet for months....Tiki: very very sweet. Tasted like yakult with a hint of cinnamon. Didnt finish it.Freezer martini: for $30 you got 4oz of gin or vodka and several mixers where you get to make your own martini. Our server is right on that this drink makes good Instagram. Compared to the other two, its definitely the safest drink for the night. But honestly I dont think its worth the money.Chicken nuggets: before we ordered, we asked our server why this dish name has quotes. He told us that its made of chicken thigh. However, he didnt tell us that this is actually chopped chicken thigh with bell peppers and other veggies in it. It tasted like fried meatballs!!! Its not worth your money at all and if the server gave us the truth from the beginning, we wouldnt have ordered it.Neither my friend nor I liked the cocktails and food at this place, and weve both been to over a dozen cocktail bars in Manhattan. I really dont get why this place has such high reviews... Be aware before you visit and save your money for something better in the neighborhood!!I rated one ⭐ for the service and atmosphere.

Really wasn’t sure how to rate this as the atmosphere was very nice, lounge-y and intimate, however:1. I don’t mind paying top dollar for a great cocktail. They had great cocktails however they cut the portion sizes in half so I was spending $18+ a drink for literally just a few sips. The cocktails were minuscule. Don’t jack-up prices and reduce portions. Not cool. Seems to be hospitality’s thing to do post-pandemic, but this leaves a bad taste in customers’ mouthes.2. When it came time to close out and pay I couldn’t get my tab for 25 minutes. Servers would acknowledge us, then walk by us. Happened multiple times. I had to finally go up to the bar area to close out just to be ignored again. Also not cool. You know what’s cool? Giving you three stars when you deserve two and doing so only because I recognize you’re a new business ironing out it’s kinks. Three’s a baseline. Be better than three please. Coz the atmosphere’s nice and I want to come back.

I enjoyed my visit to spy gold (it’s in the basement of grey wire for those who can’t find it like me). The bartenders were very friendly, and the atmosphere was nice and cocktails were pricey, but that’s to be expected at a place like this. I ordered two different martinis (which came in a standard size glass, I saw one reviewer comment that the glasses were too small, but they were the correct size for a proper martini). While the glasses were typical size, they packed a punch, which I appreciate if I’m paying that much for a Martini I like it to be strong. I’ll definitely go here again if I need to go somewhere near Hudson yards.

I congratulate the owner and everyone involved in this endeavor. It is this humble New Yorkers opinion that Spygold is soon to be bustling to capacity, given its recent arrival in Manhattan. Having enjoyed nearly three hours, on a first date, in their lower level cocktail lounge (estimating an approximate capacity of 35), Im confident they have done EVERYTHING right. The drinks were unique, as well as well arranged in their menu with a special flair for categorizing their non-alcoholic offerings. Oysters with the Dill were perfectly refreshing together on an early summer night and I can foresee doing it again in blistering late July. The liver mousse was divine and surprisingly presented just as I create such fare at home. The coffee cocktail finished things off, wasnt too sweet, and I emerged with a spark in my step: a happy woman.Surrounded by a good soundtrack that was solid enough to comment upon and ask Siri to identify in moments of silence, yet did not distract this musician from solid conversation. Decor is beautifully chosen from the bathroom sinks to the incredible centerpiece in front of the fire and a front door that rivals any in recent memory. With pens and matches available to remember them and pass along the word, I look forward to experiencing their street level room on my own someday. OH and the service?--wonderful. Cheers to their impeccable professionalism, non-invasive nature and quick approach to keeping our needs well supplied.I would reserve a table here any night of the week for any number of occasions, including meetings with colleagues, which require space and lower volumes, to approach subjects of business and other such banter.

Spygold is a small bar with a lot of proposals for both drinks and design. The place is very nice, on our visit the place was almost empty, there was only one other table and us, so the service was incredible. We ordered the drinks that had yogurt, the fizz 8/10 and the key lime 6/10, the flavors were not bad, but different, something you are not used to. I would definitely come back to try the other drinks.
