Overall rating: 4.998Omg I’m obsessed with this place. I never heard of it before and so happy my date introduced me to it. First, true speakeasy 🥹Second, the bao buns are sooo good. Like I’m surprised, good. We went in the early hours after work, so it was pretty empty. But that didn’t change the vibe at all.The bartender was so nice. We just had one round of drinks. The old fashioned was stronngggg. I really liked my cocktail. Very tasteful. Also the seats were so comfortable! Will definitely be coming back soon, highly recommend.

Kyle is an attentive server/bartender who mans the floor very well. the spicy tteokbokki isnt your run-of-the-mill, firetruck red powder concoction at all. the honey, fresh scallions, and sesame on top noticeably level up the dish. they also offer a brown butter variation, which i thought was a creative idea. the arancini kimchi rice ball is awesome. when kyle served it, he said its the best thing ever, and i agree. the ranch dressing made so much sense flavor-wise.the music was awesome. it was all 90s hip-hop when i was there. i didnt drink but noted the c(m)ocktail menu was impressive. you can come here to only eat, have a drink, or anything in between. theres something for everyone at hidden tiger.

I made a reservation for a dinner, cocktails and dancing date night, and it couldnt have gone better. The food was unorthodox but delicious modern spin on Korean food. Im a sucker for rice cakes, and their tteok-bokki in browned butter and sage sauce was a really novel experience that I really enjoyed. The bulgogi bao buns and the spicy wings were also excellent. For drinks, I had an old fashioned that was brought to the table with smoke billowing from the glass which, far from being gimmicky, really rocked the senses. My date seemed to be enjoying her cocktails as well, and the flavors all just worked together nicely. After dinner we danced to some old-school hip-hop/r&b for a while. To say this place is unassuming is an understatement -- it really fits the bill as a hidden gem.

I WOULD GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD FOR THOSE HONEY GINGER GARLIC WINGS!!!!! Luckily, the East Village is way closerI lived around the corner from Fat Buddha for years and spent SO. MUCH. TIME there, so I was (like so many other people) TOTALLY DEVASTATED when it had to shut down due to a fire upstairs. I had friends in other countries who were wailing in dismay!!We all knew that wasnt the end though. It couldnt be. My brain refused to even consider the possibility of a life without those wings. So I waited. And wished. And hoped. And prayed to anyone and anything that I thought might hear me.And then it happened.Hidden Tiger rose from the ashes like a phoenix (and by ashes I mean the blood, sweat, and tears of the owner, Cliff). And it is SPECTACULAR.I had my birthday party here two months ago and I honestly couldnt have imagined a better setting... with all the youthful swagger of Fat Buddha, but with a heaping dose of elegant sophistication. Our baby grew up! Tables were reserved for us, the food was amazing, the cocktails were flowing, and the music was at the perfect level so we could all enjoy it, but still hear each other talk. It definitely turns into a party later on but during lounge times, its still super chill. Best of both worlds AND swoonworthy date spot. You cant help but be happy in there. Every detail is curated for maximum joy.The interior could/SHOULD absolutely be in a magazine. The wallpaper is incredible and the banquette seating is GORGEOUS. Youll be drooling over the visuals as much as the food. And who doesnt love walking in through a secret door!Fat Buddha will forever live on in my heart but Hidden Tiger is the glow up that doesnt stop giving!!!

Actually one of the coolest speakeasy spots in the city. From the moment I stepped inside, the music was a vibe. The service was accommodating and friendly, which is always appreciated. The drinks were flowing just right, got an espresso martini and can’t wait to go back and try more.

Stumbled across this place and loved it! This is a dry speakeasy with delicious non alcoholic drinks. I love the concept and the beverage director Andres is so passionate about creating a fun space which doesnt need to focus on alcohol. I dont always want to have a heavy drinking night but still want to socialize outside with friends. Music was great too with a 90s 2000s hip hop /rnb vibe. Looking forward to going back!

Fat Tiger has some of the best zero proof drinks in the city and I will definitely be back! The bartender, Andre, has crafted a menu of drinks with complex flavor profiles that are unbelievable 😊 the “yuzu over there” has a beautiful honey scent that pairs nicely with its citrusy sour taste that’s not too sweet! And the seasonal “garden highball” has a refreshing cucumber taste with a bit of spice that literally dances over the tip of your tongue! This place has a great vibe and is definitely a keeper ♥️

Drinks were pretty good and the vibe is pretty cool in this historic spottwo caveats:1. FYI: music is pretty loud and maybe not the spot to be chatting over drinks if that‘s what you’re looking for2. I do not recommend the food. not just because I‘m Korean and even from bar food standards. the bulgogi bao buns had meat that was most certainly not bulgogi. the spicy rice cakes (tteokbokki) had decent rice cakes but the sauce was confusing what it was trying to be. And the arancini kimchi rice ball just not tasty at all.we liked our burboun cocktails tho.

The cocktails were good but wow was the DJ really bad. I dont know if thats a regular occurrence, but I sure hope not. Im not even sure what genre it was--it was so strange and terrible. Bars are places for socializing, and you cant really do that when theyre blasting awful music that feels like it might bust your eardrums. My friends and I gave up on trying to have a conversation because we kept on screaming what!? at each other. A friend really wanted to try their famous zero-proof cocktails, so we stayed. But we tried to finish our drinks quickly and get out of there. The music and volume that night were pretty unbearable, so I dont think Ill be visiting again, which is a shame because the food looks good. At least the drinks were nice.

Love this place!!! It’s a hidden gem that has a chill vibe. Love that I could enjoy non alcoholic cocktails but still have the vibe of being in a lounge setting. Food is to die for!! Great for those who don’t drink, are pregnant and can’t drink or you just want to catch a good vibe without having the alcohol involved. I highly recommend checking this place out!

We came here thinking we would need more of a crowd but we didn’t need it! The ambiance was great, lots of RnB music… and then there was Kyle. Think Walter White of cocktails. He was attentive, inventive and engaging. He made our trip to Hidden Tigre worth it. Kyle, if you see this, thank you for making our trip to NY memorable.

Came last night with a few friends for just drinks and maybe some food. We had an amazing time!! Drinks were amazing, service was also top notch and the food was better than we could have imagined. At first we thought it was just the drinks talking, but I’m thinking about the wings and rice cakes now and that tells you everything! Great chill vibe with good music for a Thursday night hang out. Can see this being our regular go-to. Will be coming back.

Really love the concept and feel it is needed in nyc - a space to come after dinner or whatever bc you want to keep hanging out, but cafes are closed and you dont necessarily want to drink. I brought a friend here and they had no idea it was zero proof / dry speakeasy from the look and feel of it. Good crowd of people when we went. Good music and vibes, excellent service. A lot of care went into the drink menu, and they actually taste good (not just juice and seltzer). Would come back and try their food menu as well!

Most dry bars are kind of disappointing because they serve up sugary, syrup filled mocktails. The drinks here are balanced, interesting, and exciting. Def the leader in the dry bar space. DO NOT MISS. Great for folks who don’t drink, great for people who do. A spot for literally everyone.

Old memories, new memories, whiskey everywhere. This speakeasy is hidden behind a cafe, and is worth a visit. The vibe is top notch, the music slaps, and there’s plenty of alcohol behind the bar to keep your liver busy.“Live fat” is their motto and I can get behind that.
