Good food, fast service. The sandwiches were good and it was ready fast. The service is ok they basically bring your food out then let you eat. Not too cramped inside.

Great low-key restaurant. Visiting from out of town, found this spot on the corner and stopped in for a bite. Hummus platter was great...fresh hummus with vegetables! Meatloaf and grain bowl were good as well. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Fantastic place right across the road from the Ghostbusters fire station. The food was great and the staff were brilliant.

I hate leaving 1-Star reviews. I don’t want to be that person, really. But seriously, what the heck is going on here?For such a small space, this was easily one of the loudest bars I’ve been to. I suppose that’s easy to have happen though when there is a group of 5-6 people who are all laughing and shouting at the top of their lungs.For the positives, I will say this: the beer was good. I had the draft Brooklyn Lager and it was very refreshing and crisp.Our waitress definitely didn’t care at all though. She barely spoke to us and acted weird when I asked for more water. My beer didn’t arrive until after the entree was brought out, and she walked by our table no less than 6 times without ever asking how the food was. Unfortunately, it was actually quite flavorless. It was like I was tasting the “idea” of food, not real food. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was quite dry and the shrimp were a bit overcooked and chewy.The waitress never asked how our food was, in fact. She came by and picked up our plates without saying a word, and 5-10 minutes went by without us even getting the bill, so I had to flag her down and ask for it. Then it was at least another 5 minutes before she actually brought us the bill. Even after I asked, she brought out countless other drinks and items for other tables before bringing our bill.Honestly, the mediocre food I could get past. The environment and the service though are bad enough that I really don’t see any reason I would ever come back. What a disappointment.

American Pub in Tribeca. Old fashion American pub. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is diner, bar kind. It was actually very tasty just onion for French Onion soup was not clean to good. Bar has big choice of draft beer and good amount of wine. Staff is very friendly and super attentive. Overall is good experience.

I stopped in for some drinks and snacks and sat outside. The service was great. The waiters are very attentive and efficient. We never waited long for anything. The food was delicious and the drinks were great and all for reasonable prices. Ill be coming by again for sure. Thank you.

Classic NYC bar surrounded by wood floors and walls. Decent selection of beers and food. Went there for Sunday brunch, place was empty, got an amazing service from the bartender. Food was good. Nice atmosphere, very low key place. Prices are more than fair.

The drinks were strong. I was looking for an after work spot that didnt over sweaten the drinks and this was spot on. We had the prosciutto bruschetta as an app. I had a burger and my bestie had the meatloaf. Both were good

I love Walkers and nothing will ever change that, but the caesar salad tonight was disappointing to say the least. The chicken was the saddest part. It had been pounded and mashed down into a thin membrane of sorts. I don’t have a photo to share, but believe me.. thin like paper! A beige, sliced membrane atop a bed of lackluster leaves. And don’t even get me started on the dressing.

Even though we moved away from the City years ago, Walkers is still “our” place — still exactly the same as it was 35 years ago (except they removed the greatest juke box ever). Food is great; and not ridiculously priced like the rest of TriBeCa. Hope this plays stays strong for years to come. With gratitude.

Found this place by walking by looking for somewhere to eat, service was great, very friendly, food excellent quality and good value . Great local restaurant, will be back if we have time before going back to Uk

Awesome pub. It has a London pub feel with the great Leonard behind the bar. He really makes the place feel welcoming. The drinks and food are good, awesome burger. Would love to go back more.

Happened upon this place as we were across the street seeing the Ghosbusters fire house. Really glad we took a chance on it. Food was nice, and portions were generous for the price. We got a lot more food than we expected. Desserts were good, not spectacular. Server was great, made sure we were ok but wasnt annoying. Pleasantly surprised and will return when we come back to the city.

Weird vibes. I walked 15 minutes toting heavy shopping bags to this place because their salad looked good in the pics. I had to seat myself despite the sign saying wait to be seated because no one came to seat me. Then as I sat for nearly 10 minutes, several staff made eye contact with me, or avoided eye contact, but never brought me a menu or greeted me. A girl, who I later realized was the person taking patrons to their tables, literally stood leaning against the wall by the POS looking at me looking at her with no menu. A Hispanic server came and serviced me. He got my order wrong which I think was an honest mistake but the whole experience was weird. Won’t be back. 2 stars because at least my salad didn’t disappoint. I hate to pull the race card but as a black person being ignored by multiple white staff, it leaves you feeling a way.

A really decent in house Amber Ale thats delicious. Decent cubano, a little light on the mustard.

Great spot for fantastic food and your basic drinks. The price for the quality of food is simply the best considering you’re in NYC.

Three years ago I gave them 5 stars, based on an amazing burger and the best onion soup I have ever had. After being away during the pandemic, I looked forward to a visit. Last night was highly disappointing. What happened? The Onion Soup that was dark & rich was light and masked with pepper. Not sure about the bread, too soggy to tell. And the cheese? The best my wife (a chef) and I could figure was sliced mozzarella from the supermarket. Absolutely no taste whatsoever.Sometimes you hit an off night, but this is definitely a change in recipe, which would be really sad. I know food prices have skyrocketed and this is a pub-style atmosphere, but Id be willing to pay. The soup was all we had, so I cant comment on the rest of the menu. Not sure If Ill try again.

What I love about Walkers is that its a fantastic casual pub in the middle of a high-end neighborhood that is TriBeCa. Sure its great to wine and dine in this fabulous neighborhood, but at times you just want a beer and catch a game or two.Swing by Walkers! A very welcoming and friendly bar.

My Walkers vibes are a combination of Cheers/Westtown Saloon. I love that. My love and I are foodies and love popping cherries, especially together. We were coming from the museum Intern ( interactive). Our date nights consist of doing one thing out of the evening thats new. Whether to one of us or collective. So we chose Walkers. It wasnt too late into the evening, and customers were lightly placed about inside the bar area. We sat in the dining behind the wall of the bar. Table for two right next to the window. Excuse us, we didnt take pics of the food. Our burgers and fries, mmhhm.. good. Love and order an appetizer a piece. We try something new! I knew what it was. He did not, but I never ate it. Why not pop this cherry together. Potato latkes, usually potato pancakes and raw salmon with a side of sour cream. 😁 I like it. I would rather have small slices of salmon. It was still good to me. The outdoor seating looked to be bustling it was a beautiful day.

First time to NYC and had to see the Ghostbusters building. Directly across the street is a delightful pub that serves an amazing Guinness!! Our waiter, Noah, was amazing, and insured we were very well taken care of!

Wait staff went above and beyond, even calling the bakery who makes the bread for the sandwiches to see if it has dairy, which is my allergy. I loved the vibe and the prices are reasonable. I like the cocktails too.

Seated us just before kitchen closed. Great steak and looks like a great place to hang out just for a late drink. Will try to get back . Thank you.

I loved it! My grilled chicken Caesar salad was excellent! Perfect, for a hot day. Everything was made fresh. Lettuce was really cold, and the grilled chicken was warm, on top. The service was great. It had a neighborhood coziness, it didnt have the tourist vibe. I really liked it, it was different... in a good way. I highly recommend! Very tasty!

One hell of a classic American saloon, one of the 10 oldest in NYC local place with a great atmosphere, nice selection of drinks, and great food. John our bar tender was a true professional.If you decide to seek out Hook and ladder 8 (the Ghostbusters firehouse) as I did you could do an awful lot worse than making a stop here.

We recently showed up on a Thursday night and unfortunately the service was unsatisfactory. We ordered a round of beers and a side of fries. We received the fries but unfortunately the round of beers didnt end up showing up until after our side of fries were completely done. It was around a 30 minute wait for the beers. It was busy but definitely not overwhelming.

Great food and service; it is always our first choice when spending a fun day in lower Manhattan. My older son swears the burger is the best in NY and my younger son loves the steak. Salads and apps are my favorite, and of course the mac and cheese is loved by all!

I had their grilled asparagus with shaved Parmesan and toasted shaved pecans which was spectacular! Its such a simple dish but their preparation and ingredients were absolutely top notch. The different textures came together remarkably well.Their burger was wonderful too. It was perfectly seasoned, the American cheese was perfectly melted and slightly creamy just like I like it and the bun was super fresh and pillowy. The meat was hot with just the right amount of decadence but it still had the simplicity of what seemed to be a simple salt and pepper seasoning. I asked for medium well and it was cooked to perfection.The atmosphere here was relaxed with a bit of rustic charm and the service was attentive and friendly. Their outside area seemed to be really popular during my Sunday afternoon visit but I was quite happy eating inside. This place is a gem and I look forward to visiting again when Im in the area.I took a picture after my first few bites of the asparagus dish so it might have ruined the art of the presentation but it was so good I wanted to keep a visual memory of it.

There seems to be a unison between the front of the house and the kitchen. And I’m not sure what happened but it started during the pandemic. The ground beef wasn’t fresh and then after 2021 it got better as more people came back but I’ve got spotty quality and seen the same for certain people. The place is empty right now at 4:12pm and the city subway and buses are shutdown because of a storm. It’s 9/29/23. I’ve been coming here since 2003 and brought many friends over the decades and watched servers, cooks and owners leave. Sad to say… not the same.

Great neighborhood bar. Stopped in after stopping by the Ghostbuster Firehouse for a drink and bartender was a great dude. Felt like we were regulars despite being there for our first time.It will be a stop for sure whenever I am in NY.

This is a cute one off pub. The food wasnt as good as expected but the service and ambience was nice. I had the mac and cheese. I think with a bit more love they can improve the food menu and quality

I have gone to this place for years, way before 9/11. I chose to go for a birthday celebration. The martini had no life to it. The smell of the fat used for the fries preceeded their presentation and upon ordering a hummus, it was green and resembled a water based protein combo..maybe it was a Monday nite dysfunction but no more walkers for me.

Stumbled upon Walkers while checking out the area. Ended up staying for hours. John was a fantastic bartender and offered tons of humor and conversation to keep us entertained. Excellent cocktails and the food was great! The burger is a must have

I have been coming to walker’s for a couple years and it is great every time. Good food, good people, just a great local spot that never fails! Doesn’t hurt it is right across the street from the Ghostbusters fire house.

First time here and it was great. Staff was super nice. It was pouring rain and I needed a place to rest and eat. Their menu is small but has a variety of selections (dessert menu is basically non existent though. Just like three items.) Everything tasted so fresh and great. The wait for the food was short.Definitely will come back again next time Im around.

Service is terrible. Servers act like you’re an inconvenience. Food was mediocre. Atmosphere was great.

Some issues with not getting what we ordered the first time and had to make a couple changes. Seemed like an issue of communication because of outdoor dining and the noise in the street. But then once the order was correct the order came out cooked incorrectly. Wait staff tried to have it corrected three times and it was appreciated but the cook could not seem to get it right. Generally a good experience just some issues with getting the right order.

The local pub. Probably don’t need to say much more...in NYC if you’ve done enough, long enough to be the local pub you have made it to the list” of places that people should stop in! Nostalgic, superb service, local feel and tasty food. Throw in a brunch cocktail and it all makes sense!

Walkers is an institution, a way station for generations of New Yorkers looking for an honest drink and a bite to eat. They offer a no frills list of beer and wine, as well as an assortment of traditional cocktails. The food is all very straight forward, but very well executed. They have the BEST chicken tenders, highly recommend them. Service is always brisk but friendly.

Easy to get to from the subway. Intimate but not tight space. Definitely a local bar vibe. Colored a masterpiece (with the crayons and paper tablecloth) which I hope the staff saved because Ill be back to try different dishes. The salmon my date and I had was perfect and our server was really nice. Recommend this for an after work date night dinner.

You should go for the ambiance. It is one of the oldest bars in the city. John the bartender will tell you about the bar top which is original. Food is good, its pricey, but everything in this part of Manhattan is.

I love the chicken sandwich!

Took a stroll in the area and was taken by Google circles to get a taste of food here.Chicken nuggets were nice and not greasy. Salad had a great variety in it-like cheese and olives. Fries were okay--a little soggy for my taste.Service was quick and polite.

Great atmosphere, lived in, not fancy, great bartenders—loved that. Feels a bit pricey for what it is but maybe that’s just inflation, baby.

Lovely welcome, friendly service. Came in after a long walk for a beer and a plate of fries with cheese. Wasnt on the menu but they were happy to oblige. Explained to the bemused locals about my wifes passion for Cheesy Chips (Northern English thing!).Would definitely recommend and would come again.

Very good location for drink and eating

This is one of my favorite NYC restaurants. I have never had a bad meal here. The cuisine is simple American. They have some of the best buffalo wings south of the originals. The dinner entrees include a good mix of sandwiches, steaks, fish, chicken, & pasta. Their desserts are superb as well. I watched Johan Santana complete the first Mets no-hitter at their bar. When the game completed, the bartender bought a round of champagne for the entire room. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

In the seventies this was one of two or three places in Tribeca where you could get a great hamburger in a beer. Nothing but artists in the crowd. It was great to revisit it after all this time. A lot of suits of course so it totally different crowd but still good Ambience and great burgers and onion soup.

Great spot for food and drinks. Wide selection of sandwiches and entrees. I had a Cuban sandwich with fries and a pint of Guinness - it was superb, really tasty. Great service too.

Great drink, not bad food, crap service. Went to Walkers a few times with my friend to grab drinks at the bar and had some good times. First time we sat down at a table though, we had an incredibly rude waitress, who gave us a lot of attitude, took forever on any order including water, forgot water, and refused to be helpful in letting us split the bill. She didnt just tell us we couldnt split the bill which would have been fine, but rather split it for us, but put all the tax on one bill without telling us. Left her about a 3% tip as a result of the service which she then confronted my friend about with hostility when he left the bathroom.Bottom line: hang at the bar for a good drink.

Great food at a great price. The decor and the atmosphere was awesome, I felt like I had traveled back in time. The greatest partbofbthe whole experience was the server, cant remember her name, but she was so friendly and helpful that I will definitely come back.

Went during storm so empty for a while. Service was great to begin with then crashed and burned while asking for dessert key lime pie gooooood... Had the chilli and French onion soup. Cheese looked a little frozen and FO soup a little too sweet. Burgers where the best and not a complaint on those. Beers just good and refreshing.

Excellent food, great service and nice atmosphere. Two separate sections in the restaurant, the one we were in was more pub style and very loud, just be prepared! The other section seemed more low-key, and there were a few kids there.

Perfect low-key neighborhood dinner spot in Tribeca. Friendly staff, efficient service. Usually crowded at lunch and dinner, especially in the front room by the bar, but you can grab a quieter table for 2 in one of the back rooms. Definitely recommend the chopped sirloin steak - $16 for a solid sized beef patty with maple glaze, on top of mashed potatoes and vegetable of the day (cross your fingers its the brussel sprouts, because theirs are fantastic).

Immediate local and European feel in one. Nice barkeep with a conversation about collective nouns as we look out on the Ghostbusters movie location Hook and Ladder. Great pint of Guinness.

Walkers is a neighborhood bar. We stopped in with our big group and Walkers was able to accommodate us with ease. On a weekend, it was fairly empty. Food is typical American. We had fries, salad, yogurt, and fruit. Not bad for snacks or a drink.

A good pub, we were staying nearby to see the famous ghostbuster barracks, not bad as a local. pleasant food, courteous waiters. Good!

Staff is amazing, food was extremely tasty, must try the Cuban. Choose this place over the trendy options in the neighborhood every time.

I used to come here a lot when I lived in Tribeca. Great atmosphere and food. The steak was perfect. I painted a portrait of the restaurant which you can see on my website, kovalfineart dot com.

Food was nothing you couldnt get elsewhere for a better price. The place is lacking in ambience. And one of the personnel STOLE MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!!! Good thing I check my charges regularly and was able to get the $1200 (!!!) charge removed. Do not recommend.

Stopped in this bar after our Ghostbusters fire house visit.. lovely American bar and immaculate.. The nice gentleman behind the bar was so friendly and obliging and couldnt do enough for us.. I had the pinot grigio which was lovely and my husband had a beer.. just wish we had eaten there as the food looked amazing too.. We will be back soon from england and visit New York again and definitely come back to this lovely friendly bar.. 🙂

One of my favorites in the neighborhood!

Great brunch with a old pub vibe. The eggs were perfectly poached, the ham was grilled, and the hollandaise tasted great. The plate included two eggs but the mountain of fries obscured the second eggs Benedict in this picture. The fries were crispy while the fruit seemed fresh. The included mimosa (or other drink if you desire) was a nice plus.

1st time visit; random stop walking back to our hotel. Greeted and seated within moments upon stepping inside. Every stool at the bar was occupied...good sign from where I come from :) Fair selection of draft beers. Cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Attentive server.I had the grilled chicken sandwich with side of fries & hubby ordered the St. Patrick Day special of corned beef on rye bread with side of fries. The chicken sandwich was tender & full of flavor; satisfying & would definitely order again! Hubby said his corned beef on rye was just ok; disappointing.Overall good experience.

I went to Walker’s to try American brunch. I tried their buffalo wings and chicken sandwich with side fries. The food is delicious, especially the sandwich with the crispy chicken filling.

In 2006, after visiting Hook and Ladder 8, hey Aldo, he sent us across the street to Walkers, tell em Aldo sent you. I can still talk the burgers, the fries and bottle of wine sent to our table. So from Pacifica to Tribeca, I am thinking of this place today.

Ive come here so many times -- every time a friend is in town and wants to see the Ladder 8 Firehouse (Ghostbusters Headquarters) across the street, we stop here too! Whether we are sitting at an outside table for a drink, or dining inside, Walkers food is consistently great and the staff is always very personable and accommodating. The drink selection is great too. As a huge Ghostbusters fan myself, its so nice to sit across the street from the iconic firehouse while enjoying both the view and the meal!

I got the burger here one evening and it was alright. I think I put too much lettuce on top of the patty. The fries were just fine.

We walked in accidentally not expecting much but we were in for an amazing surprise! The food here was great and they had lots of options. The atmosphere was very cosy and lovely plus we happened to go there on a Sunday night and enjoyed some live jazz music. It was a great evening and I do highly suggest this place.

Simple & delicious food! Chicken was cooked perfectly on the cobb salad, and french onion soup was flavorful. Staff were all extremely friendly.

Excellent service, and my wife loved the French onion soup. The calamari was delightful and I couldnt beat a tall draught of craft beer.

We sat at the bar and chatted with the very friendly barman and had a lovely lunch.Lost a star for service as the barman forgot to put our food order in until we reminded him! But he was very apologetic and it was very quick after that.

Burger was absolutely mouthwatering delicious. Would 10000% come back for the burger. For the side I got fries and it was perfect. I didn’t even end up using the ketchup or mustard because the burger was just that juicy

This is going to sound far fetched but bartender tried to hit on my sister and when she very politely made it clear she wasnt interested he came back and told us we had to stand cause he needed the stools for a reservation

Nice old Tavern.Burger was fine. So was the service. Place was midday busy and we were efficiently served.Prices will be steep, especially if you are from out of town. Either that or maybe I am just reaching the part of life where everything seems expensive.

I have not been in Walkers for over 25 years. Shame on me. The place has not been changed. I will return soon.

The meatball appetizer tastes like it came from a frozen box with canned sauce. The shrimp scampi was not cooked with any salt so it was very bland. Service was really good though. Great people, meh food, good atmosphere.

Very rude service by a worker there (bald man in a face mask) who insisted on a tip - and chased after me to demand one (after presenting the wrong bill). Wow!!! Sad experience.

I used to drink lunch there every day in the early 80s. The place was called “Vics” and I think it was named after the owners sister, Victoria passed away early. In the 80s the place was no frills, and if you asked the bartender to make a martini he you threw you out.A funny guy who I believe was Victoria’s brother.I forget his name but great memories ❤️🍺❤️

Very quaint corner spot. Old pub feel with nice bay window seating. Also, right across from the Ghostbusters Headquarters Station 8 Firehouse. We just got drinks, so I cant speak for the food. But the waitress was friendly and drinks came out quickly. Definitely saving this spot for future visits.

A great traditional bar with wooden features, barside stools and matchbooks to boot. Directly opposite the firehouse used as the Ghostbusters Headquarters. We loved it. Expect to pay around $9 for a beer. We didnt eat but loads of people were and it looked great.

This place has been great for years. I came here after a stressful morning at work and chilled out the bar. The burger hit the spot and I felt way better by the time I left to go back.Still good!
