I recently hosted a birthday party at The Winslow, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The staff was incredibly helpful during the planning process and provided exceptional attention to my group’s needs throughout the evening. The drinks were outstanding, the venue was perfectly suited for around 40 guests, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would definitely host another event there and highly recommend it to others.
The service here is exceptional. When we requested to watch a basketball game instead of the hockey game that was on, the staff went out of their way to move us to another section and switched the channel for us. The beer selection is extensive, and the food, while typical bar fare, was quite good. It’s definitely a great spot for a weekend sports bar experience on the east side!
This is long overdue! I organized my office holiday party here and if I could give more stars I would. We had around 40 people and had the whole middle room to ourselves. It was perfect and roomy. Not expensive at all and your money goes a long way here. The service was unbelievable from accommodating all the requests, like our champagne toast, and just being on their A game the day of the event. The space is so warm and lovely. The decorations they do for the holiday season are stunning. We didn’t have to add a thing! The food was so so good! We all were very impressed because it was all the type of casual food you’d want at a party but restaurant quality. Not your typical bar food at all. Everyone left so happy and full and was talking about it for weeks!I’m not a review person but it really was an amazing experience. Thank you thank you
Love this place!!! Fantastic space, it’s very cool with the wood but also great natural light. Lots of spaces to meet. Staff is outstanding. We had a larger-than-expected group and they were wonderful to work with. Highly recommend!!
We went on a Tuesday for the Gin Club experience. This was amazing and so fun! Included in our ticket were 3 cocktails, (and a few shots!) AND food!! For only $35 this is a total steal for NYC! It was like a tasting mixed with a cocktail making class. We learned so much about gin and its was SO FUN! The food here is also amazing,(we added the wings and the croquettes) cant recommend this place enough! We are definitely coming back on a weekend we heard its the best place for a fun weekend night out!! See picture of the awesome cocktails we made!
Have been to this place for trivia many times. Every time it’s a blast! Trivia starts at 730 but the happy hour ends at 7, so we get there early to enjoy the drinks. Their food is pretty good too. I really liked the caesar salad and the fries. My friend enjoyed the mac and cheese and said the french onion soup was OK. Excited to go back for another trivia night! (Forgot to take a pic before we are the salad and mac and cheese… oops!)
Booked their backroom for my wife’s 30th birthday. It was totally worth it. Our server was very nice and friendly. Very attentive to our needs and customized a few drinks to our taste. Their Gin selection is amazing we tired at least 5 of their G&Ts and loved all of them. My favorite was Uncle Val’s. Also their spicy margaritas were really good. Food selection is nice. Jalapeño Mac and Cheese, Scotch eggs and Shishito Peppers were really good. My personal favorite was the Irish Dip. Everybody had a really good time and I highly recommend this place.
My fiance and I had our engagement party at The Winslow, and it was absolutely wonderful! It was the perfect location in their back room, where we had enough space and privacy but still had the atmosphere of a fun bar. Our host/waiter was extremely attentive and had such a fun personality to add to our party. We pre-ordered some food for our party which everyone loved. All in all, this was the perfect spot for our engagement party and it was everything we could have asked for. We will definitely come back for another event or just a night out for drinks. Would 100% recommend!!
Absolutely wonderful spot. Ive been here a few times now and I always have great drinks, great food and a really nice atmosphere to enjoy.
Generic but comfortable enough. Pretty good wine, didnt eat. Nice staff.
They have a great gin club that hosts gin tasting every month (sometimes more frequent!) the owner is very friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend!
Organized a surprise engagement party at The Winslow and service was spectacular. My fiancée and I both love gin and had a remarkable experience. As a former NYC server and bartender myself, I’m confident in saying the customer service in planning, with Emma and Catarina, and in person day of, with Maya and Joe, was impeccable and some of the best in the city.Great gin drinks and food and a lovely ambience. Would highly recommend for any events or evenings out in Manhattan.
We went to this bar after dinner. The bouncers were incredible. They were so fun to talk to and banter with. When we got in there was a decent crowd but it didnt feel too crowded. Their music was amazing. They made my espresso martini the way I loved it. The drinks were affordable so much that I was so shook by my bill. I would 100% come back to this place.
I can’t speak to the food here so I put a five stars for the food but the drinks are pretty good. I like them and the prices aren’t really bad. They have happy hours as well. I would just say that it’s quiet during the week, especially weeknights not a really exciting place to go. I would recommend going on the weekends and again they’re not as prepared for the service when it does get busy so that would be the only callout. Cocktails are really good as well. I would definitely come back and try the food because it does look interesting but I will try that next time.
I hosted a birthday party at The Winslow and am so glad I did. The team was fantastic in helping me prepare for the event and were very attentive to my groups every need the night of. The drinks were delicious, the environment was the right size for ~50 people, and everyone had a great time. I would certainly have another event there and recommend to others.
We rented The Back Room at The Winslow for gathering of 16 people to do a murder mystery. Including the two actors, there were 18 of us in the room. It was the perfect size for us to be able to gather around seated and still have space for the actors and suspects to do their thing. The party food was great -- a good variety of meat, vegetarian and vegan options. The service was also wonderful. Joe was our dedicated server and despite being super busy, he was always helpful and accommodating. Planning the event was also super easy because Caterina and Emma are so organized and think of everything. Highly recommend The Winslow and well definitely be back.
This place was great! Im not usually a huge gin guy and they seem to specialize in gin, but the awesome bartender took the time to recommend some great whiskey options even though they were fairly busy. Id definitely go back here next time Im around.
Love the tremendously large gin selection. Small bites were tasty. Staff was friendly and service was super quick.
We rented the space for a birthday. The wait staff was incredible and lovely. Unfortunately the DJ Leo Newball was extremely rude and refused to play the one song we requested for our friends birthday even after being sent multiple tips for it. He made the birthday girl cry on her 25th birthday, who does that? We will not be coming back.
Good for a first or last drink _at the bar_ near the East Village.Decent beer selection. Generally friendly service. It’s got a happy hour energy, which I only notice if I’ve ordered a happy hour drink or dish.Sitting at a table makes a difference. They change specials daily (?) and I’ve ordered happy hour drinks here twice when sitting at a table. The server shows up constantly during happy hour you’re not at the bar and is chatting at the bar when happy hour was over. Both times we moved to the bar. Great service.Sit at the bar and service is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I highly recommend this bar especially for private parties. We utilized the private back room space, it was enclosed and perfect for our needs! Our server, Taylor ensured we had everything we needed in terms of drinks. We also ordered some platters, the pigs in the blanket were absolutely delicious. I most note, as well the cocktails were extremely tasty especially Practice what you preach!:)Everyone especially, Catarina the manager ensured we had everything we needed. The bus boys also made sure everything was cleaned up in a timely matter. We were so pleased with the entire experience. Highly recommend this place!
Delicious food, amazing cocktails, super friendly staff💕 Highly recommend.
It’s a fine bar but they charged me $8 for a glass of JUST club soda which seems pretty unreasonable to me
I visited this bar on Saturday May 13th 2017 at around 10pm and had an absolutely horrendous experience. I believe that within an hour of sitting at the bar that I became the target of a highly orchestrated racial hate attack. After only having a total of two drinks at this bar and 2 drinks prior to arriving, I was told that I was intoxicated. This kind of behavior is illegal under New York City, State and Federal law. I was asked to the leave the bar with no appropriate reason given when asked. When I refused to leave, the black bouncer held my right arm and wrist so tightly that it was twisted badly that I needed x-rays taken and splint placed on the arm for the entire week. I was then subsequently pushed out the bar by the black bouncer and fell on my face. Blood coming from my face, the NYPD did nothing to ensure my safety. I was taken to the hospital and given care for the head wound. I plan to pursue this issue in New York City/State court if I dont receive contact from the bar ownership on this in a timely manner!
Really into this spot - we went after a work function and had many drinks. They were all delicious and the bartenders were all extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Its a fun crowd. The only critique is that the fries were way over salted - otherwise, they (and the rest of the food we got) was delicious and perfectly cooked. They also had a fun dipping sauce for the fries. 100% worth a visit!
Excellent food and atmosphere. The server was super pleasant and laid back and the food was delicious and somewhat unique without being overly outside of the norms.Overall it was an awesome experience and glad we tried it put! A++
Booked the back room for a private/ semi private birthday get-together and had an excellent time with great service and food. Would reserve space at the Winslow again any time!
I attended gin club with Tuck gin. The experience was similar to catching up with old friends. Everyone was welcoming, social, interested in learning about gin. The apps were amazing! I will definitely back
I had a graduation party at The Winslow. Catarina, Maddie, and the rest of the team were phenomenal! The booking process was very easy and they were able to accommodate all of our needs. Highly recommend going for happy hour, dinner, or parties!
Get the Brooklyn lager if you like IPAs! Hoppy but subtle. Definitely worth a shot. 🍻
Hosted an end of year happy hour in their private room, we had a great time, the service was very super attentive and professional
I hosted a going away gathering for a friend at The Winslow and it really couldnt have had a better, more seamless event. They allowed us into the space early so we could decorate and get things situated for the guest of honor. From there, our 30 person party was able to purchase all the food/drinks they wanted from our incomparable, dedicated server Maya. I cant overstate how much we appreciated The Winslows flexibility with credit cards and ordering. As this was a going away party, I had invited far-flung people in the departers life, some of whom I had never met. It would have been such a headache to try and settle up with them after the party, but The Winslow made sure that even the frazzled coordinator (read: me) had a great time that night. Thank you!
Great gin bar!
The Winslow is a great spot. Fantastic drinks and service. Foods pretty good too, if you need a snack. I had the duck wings and they were delicious.Shout out to Abby the bartender, shes the best!
Best dry martinis in the world. Very good selection of gin.
Ive been a regular at The Winslow since they opened, and I can honestly say they are still my home away from home. This is my top pick when friends and family come to visit, the welcoming atmosphere has made us all feel like we are a part of the family.Heres to many more memories with you all!
The Winslow is the best!!! Great food, great drinks, and amazing and friendly staff. Best bar to watch football. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Also great for birthday parties, happy hour, brunch, or a fun night out. Live music on Sunday’s is the best!!
The staff here is friendly. Its a chill after work spot. You can reserve space for events. Their seasonal craft cocktails are delicious and they have a nice menu to snack on. I recommend their shishito peppers and the cheese curds for sharing. Post-pandemic theyre still on point with service, drinks and food! 👌🏼
Have been a long time Winslow visitor (almost 10-years)! Love their gin collection and American / English food! Great for private events as well!
Went here for drinks, they have a nice atmosphere in a busy area. Some tables which is good for a change with candle lighting. They have happy hour from 5-7 with specials on beer, wine, cocktails, and gin. This is a gin bar so they have 2 pages of gin specials which isnt really common but great if you like gin. They have simple bar food like wings, salads, etc. Overall nice bar, friendly service and nice being able to sit down.
Best Gin bar in the city!!! The duck wings are hands down my fav!
Found this place after pedis with my daughter. The food was good and our server was very helpful with recommendations for food and drinks. Although he initially forgot to order our appetizer, the order was put in and it was served as we ate entrees, which was fine but I never received the drink I ordered. I will definitely go back, maybe for brunch next time.
If you love gin, this is the bar for you! Each of their gin can be paired with botanicals ( and an optional tonic), they offer gin flights and gin cocktails. They do offer other liquor for those who arent gin lovers. The service is great and the ambiance is as well. Deducted one star because the food was good, but not great.
This is a very nice bar in the union square area. The dimly lit atmosphere created a romantic ambiance but yet is lively with many twenty-somethings. Drinks are fairly priced for the city (less than $15/cocktail). It is a bit loud but what bar in the city isnt? Would definitely return. Its a cool spot.
I had my birthday drinks here for about 35-40 people on a Friday night. From the first phone call to my visit to the bar to see the space to my actual event and every other interaction in between, their team has been wonderful, accommodating and professional. Of the 15 birthdays Ive celebrated in Manhattan this has by far been the easiest most pleasant experience. We were able to reserve 3 huge tables with leather couch-type booth seating (for a very nominal minimum-spend requirement), we were able to bring our own cupcakes, our waitress was friendly and patient and got all our orders right which included most guests opening their own tabs and paying for their own drinks. I also ordered a bunch of appetisers and food for our 3 tables and everything was taken care of impeccably. Their fat chips (fries) and fried pickles, mac and cheese and cheese curds were terrific. I cant say enough nice things about the managers and the staff here and highly recommend you consider this bar for any celebrations and events. My favorite drink was the Lady in Red. Delicious!!They also have a cool private room at the back but sadly it was booked on the day of my event.
Friendly staff and crowd. Live music, sports, everything you could want in a bar! Steak sandwich and fries are delicious too
We had just walked 3 miles through the city and wanted to sit down, relax and have a bite to eat and something to drink. There was no hostess at the front, so we walked in and found a nice spot towards the back with a nice and cozy bench. All the tables were empty, so we thought we could just grab any place. We were just about to sit down when a waitress came up and wanted to seat us at a 2 person high top, which at the time looked very uncomfortable to us. We asked if we could sit on the comfortable bench since all the tables were empty and only reluctantly the waitress let us sit there. This made us feel very weird and intrusive. We figured lets just grab an appetizer and get the heck out of this place.Next weird thing was that we had to surrender our credit card to start a tab and couldnt get it back until we checked out. To make the entire experience bad, they charge a no-cash surcharge of 3.5%. They demand a credit card and then they charge you for using it. Ridiculous! The 3.5% came right off the tip, I dont like surprise charges like that. The cheese curds were good but again, expensive.
The service at this place is outstanding. We wanted to watch a basketball game while a hokey game was on and they actually moved us to a different section and put on the game for us.The beer selection is pretty wide and the food was decent bar food.Would recommend for a weekend sports bar experience on the east side for sure!
Gin drinks in many wonderful ways! Im not a big gin fan... but after trying a few of these, I have a new world view. The Jessica Rabbit is outstanding! The staff is very attentive and knows their drinks. Definately recommend
A regular here for trivia on Mondays, starting at 7pm, I appreciate the tasty food menu and extensive drink list, with a mix of high end offerings and a couple budget crowd pleasers (certain beers are $6 and under). The physical space is large and has a cool ambiance.
I booked a semi private event with the Winslow last Saturday. Everything went perfectly! The food and drinks were delicious and the staff was great throughout the whole process of reserving the space and the night of!
This has been our go to spot for happy hours for years. Good drink selection and we love the cheese curds!
Very fun place to get drinks and hang out at for happy hour. Love the vibe and the staff was friendly. Plenty of space and the they have outside dinning too. Will definitely go back again.
I hosted my birthday party here and it was a fantastic experience from beginning to end!Thank you to all the staff-- they were super welcoming & kind, really chill, and everyone had a great time.
They Scotch eggs. Classic. The Irish dip is excellent. I drank the dip. Good selection of gin drinks and whiskey. Good crowd and service. I hear they have a good brunch.
I dont think most people realize this place is a gin bar. They do in depth classes on different gin brands on a regular basis and have an amazing selection of tonics to match for anyone wanting a proper gin and tonic.
Hosted a gathering of friends in the mid-afternoon.The staff was incredible. The food was great.Couldnt recommend it more. 5 Stars all the way around.Cat - who arranged everything ahead of time - totally rocked.Looking forward to returning.
Had the gin and tonic - they use dried lemons and dried limes, which threw my off, but it was still good. Wished they used real limes, though. Also ordered fork and chips and it was very well made - kudos!
We had the best night playing trivia on Monday. The bartender was amazing! We won $50.
I like this place a lot. Nice place to sit and relax. Good food and great drink options, especially if you like trying different types of gin
A friendly neighborhood place that is quiet enough for two people to hold a conversation.
The food was AMAZING! But the dishes were dirty, lipstick on the cups, the water was dingy because the carafe was dirty. We were given plastic cups but then our silverware was also very dirty....it was gross but the good food almost made up for it.
Absolute fantastic bar with amazing drinks (specifically gin and tonic). Pictured is the shishito my libido which I highly recommend with a little kick at the end of the drink. Also get a flight if you cant decide as well!!
Nice place. Cool staff. Lotsa Gin. Beer, not so much. But you can never go wrong with Guinness on draft.
Overpriced weak drinks. Bartenders too busy texting and hanging with their friends. Place had an overall dirty feel to it; not much of a vibe here. 9/10 bars in NYC are a miss, this being no exception. Didnt order food, but it looked and smelled half decent.
Incredibly rude and pushy server, and I was charged for drinks I did not receive. Not coming back here again that’s for sure.
Had an amazing time at the Gin Club. For the price, it was a lot of food and really, really awesome drinks. Got a little knowledge about gin along the way, too. Love this place.
Great food and atmosphere. Really well-designed menus, with a broad selection of food and drink - especially gin. Would definitely go back!
I usually don’t deduct stars for a place that is otherwise fine, but your employees are an extension of your brand. The server with dyed red hair, glasses, long nails and a disgusting attitude seems to have trauma she is projecting on customers. Rude, impatient and totally unaccommodating.
This place is trying to be both sophisticated and cater to dudebros with excessive sports nonsense everywhere. It doesnt work.
Nice drinks and vibe, friendly bartenders
Went for a friend who graduated. Their wings were delicious and the drinks were great. Definitely had a good time.
Fun place on Saturday night but reserved a table and had pretty spotty service. Most of our party just went to the bar instead. Otherwise fun spot with decent drinks.
Good pub food and happy hour specials. The cheeseburger and wings are very good and Mac N cheese is average.
Really bad experience. Overpriced burger with extra cost for each add (including cheese). The worst part is that the service didnt even told us about it...A 12$ bait lunch burger turned into a 26$ burger...Never coming back.
Gin. Bar snacks. Soccer. Whats not to love?Ive been going to The Winslow for.... god, I dont even know anymore, but certainly long enough to have drank through several gins they no longer carry. Nowhere does gin--and G&Ts--like The Winslow and if youre a G&T aficionado, you need to stop what youre doing and make plans to visit The Winslow ASAP.I love how they do it too: They have a long gin list with tasting notes and botanicals, allowing you to order a standard tonic or a specialty one. The G&Ts come out big and strong with garnishes reflecting the tasting notes, from dried orange to rosemary to black peppercorn and more. Theyre not quite dangerous territory, but theyre close, so be careful! The food menu straddles pub grub and standard bar fare, with a surprisingly deep bench of brunch items (pancakes anyone?) and hits like fried chicken, Scotch eggs, buffalo cauliflower, friend pickles... anyone else getting hungry? The staff is fantastic. Warm, friendly, and they know their biz. Weve hosted some half-dozen NYE and birthday parties at The Winslow and were always impressed by how well they take care of us and how attentive they are. Considering the crowds they get for big sporting events, its amazing theyre able to keep the vibe positive and thrumming along.Speaking of--what a great place to watch soccer, football, or many other sports I dont follow. Great crowds, lots of TVs, never feels like its a drunken bro-fest... The Winslow was my go-to for the last World Cup (even with the weird time zones) and Im sure well be watching the next one there as much as we can manage with a small kid. What else is there to say? If you want a bar with a London-y twist, lots of gin, lots of great food, and cool staff and sports options, The Winslow is an excellent choice.
People underestimate the quality of this place whenever I ask them to meet me here - great gin & tonics (as well as other cocktails but I encourage a G&t adventure) and an awesome burger
Barkeep has great craic. Friendly staff, incredible gin list. Cozy decor. A real gem.
This place is cool, they have good gin cocktails. I think they could lower the volume of the music just a bit because it was so hard to hear my friend talking. Food is nothing to write home about. I feel like this is a nice bar overall. The staff were really nice.
Great neighborhood spot, with good Cocktails and Food selection. I went on a trivia night and had a great time out with froends.. will definitely do it again
Awesome spot for a group hang. Been here a number of times with coworkers and hosted an event recently with a 15 person group in the back room. The minimums are super reasonable and the atmosphere is amazing. Service is awesome and the bar food is solid. Everything is a reasonable cost for midtown. Would strongly recommend checking this spot out. Reliable, nice Gin drinks, chill atmosphere.
Good Union Square area bar/pub. Well made drinks and good alcohol selection. Very crowded on weekends with a younger clientele.
Good place for quiet drinks. You will be able to hear your conversation. Very nice staff and fast service. I really enjoyed my gin drink. Will try to return.
Fantastic gin forward bar. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable about the flavor profiles of each gin and it made for a fun time doing gin and tonic flights!
Very awesome and creatively named cocktails, excellent Scotch eggs, and delicious fried pickles. A little loud on a Friday night, but where isnt, really?
Attentive service, even when busy. Classic cocktails and gin selection are delicious but sometimes the cocktails are made with inconsistent quality.
The Winslow was the PERFECT spot for our engagement party the Friday before new years. We had a roped off section so our friends could enjoy without having to mix with other people. The staff was so so sweet and attentive making sure we ha everything we needed and checking in constantly. We had some party platter food that was delicious and they didnt overcharge like so many other places in the city. We were slated to be there from 6-9 but once the DJ started no one wanted to leave and we ended up staying until 1am! The space is so cute and the team is wonderful I would highly recommend hosting an event here or just coming in for one of their amazing cocktails!! THANK YOU!!!
Fun spot with great food and drinks for a reasonable price
Drinks are unique. Nice vibes and staff are friendly. Would recommend this place.
Good music (on Saturday)! It got unbearably hot though with all the people inside. Maybe if it wasnt winter theyd turn the AC on but it was sorely needed.
The full Irish breakfast is very good! They even have HP sauce! But their gin cocktails are what shine through. The selection is unparalleled. I loved the How Rhub and the Pimms Please. You might ask for no glitter on the Pimms please if you dont want shimmery lips afterwards. 😂
Attentive service, especially for a fairly large group dropping in at prime brunch time. Cocktails are top notch. Good selection behind the bar.
I reserved ‘the nook’ for my birthday for a small group of 10-15 people and it was the perfect amount of space. Catarina was fantastic to coordinate with and our server, Joe made sure our group had a drink in hand at all times as well as making sure we had full water pitchers. Good atmosphere and I highly recommend going here - their gin gimlets were made with love!
This gin house has the best drinks and the nicest and friendliest staff. I will definitely come again
This was a wonderful discovery! Very cool vibe and great food! Best pancake Ive ever had, and great drinks too!
Nice vibe, friendly staff and great food.Jus a very nice environment to be in.Not your typical East Village bar.
Love this place! Great gin cocktails and flights for tastings. Trivia on Monday’s!
Great chicken nuggets that I had from here. Not that fake fast food stuff, REAL chicken nuggets. Also great customer service and atmosphere!
Decent cocktails, great for groups. Bigger than I expected with cozy nooks and people watching views.
The best British bar in the city. Staff are the best. Gin is incredible. Food is spot on.
Gin. Gin. And more gin. Great selection of inventive gin cocktails. Bright, sunny spot. Good food. Friendly bartenders! My new fave in NYC.
Great vibe, awesome staff, great drinks, great music, good food! We loved The Winslow! Everyone should give it a try.
Great drinks and good happy hour prices. Cheese curds and sweet potato fries are excellent.
Good happy hour. Menu is super fun. Food pretty good. Great place for a drink
Amazing bartenders! The service is great, even when crowded. Management personally greets customers. Clientele is mostly date-night, private parties and regulars.
Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The gin and botanical pairs were well matched. I enjoyed myself and will go back.
Place is fantastic.the service is fantastic. They have laguinitas.
Trivia night on Mondays is worth checking out. A few good Gin drinks and adequate food options.
Great spot for interesting and unique gin cocktails. Trendy, cozy atmosphere
Got served pretty fast considering it was crowded. Jamo and Ginger drinks were good and inexpensive
Amazing gin menu! And trust me… try the burger. The homemade English muffin is out of this world!
Loved it 😊 great fun collection... And food is great, not your typical bar food
Was really cute, ended up staying for trivia and its a pretty quiet neighborhood bar.
Was a great place to throw a party. Our server Michelle was great and provided a great service.
My favorite brunch spot in the area. The black pudding eggs benedict is amazing.
It was okay, the DJ could have done a better job tbh. Went there only coz of my friends
Slow staff, not the best food, had live entertainment that made it much louder while still playing music in the background.
Very cool staff, good mixed drinks and a great vibe
Super friendly staff and beers are good. Love the ambiance and lots of tv for football
The menus boutique but luscious, and the drinks were deliciously inventive. Like the humour.
Great bar for a late night drink to chill and talk with your friends, very laid back atmosphere
These guys were really great. Never felt so welcome and the staff were so happy to help recommendations. I had the chicken burger, fantastic and if youre into your cocktails this is the place. Big shout out to Shakira and Im so sorry but I forgot the main guys name and he was so nice....
Great cocktail options. Plus, the house gin its amazing!
Really good bar. Quiet, nice staff, great drinks.
Horrible service, rude waitress. I know it can happen anywhere and we all have bad days, but wouldn’t come back.
Nice
Really enjoyed having lots of options for gin at this fun bar!
Love this place. The atmosphere and cocktails are all first class.
Becoming a regular at this place. Absolutely love the staff and their negroni on tap is one of my favorites
The Mac and Cheese, the Avocado Sandwich, and Salmon Crumpet are definite go tos ! 😍..4 Drinks the Jessica Rabbit ❤
Went there to eat and it was overpriced and not worth it. Might be a cool place to hangout and drink though
Love this place me and my husband celebrated our wedding reception there 2 years ago 🥰😉
Amazing selection of gin and fantastic bartender!
Very chill spot thats great for a low key night. Never too crowded, decent music.
Cozy, spacious, woody, clean bar w nice lighting, comfy leather sofas a plenty, and splendid bartenders. Hearty draft selection, great cocktails, and very good looking food though I was just drinking when I was there. Very accommodating for our birthday gathering.
Great bar! Great gin selection and Christmas vibes
Fun place,good food, drinks & price,friendly workers.you most visit !!!
These duck wings with that Korean sauce are like dying for them ,ohhh amazing ,,best sport bar also
I recently had the opportunity to attend a birthday party at a local bar that allows birthday parties, and I have to say, it was an absolute blast. From the moment we arrived, the staff at the bar were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They reserved a private area for our group and decorated it with balloons and streamers, which really set the mood for the celebration. The drinks at the bar were top-notch, with a wide variety of cocktails, beers, and wines to choose from. The bar also had a great selection of appetizers and snacks, which were a perfect accompaniment to the drinks. But what really made the night special was the atmosphere at the bar. The music was lively and upbeat, and the other patrons were all in good spirits. It was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, and I know that the birthday person felt truly special and pampered.Overall, I was extremely impressed with my experience at this bar that allows birthday parties. The staff were friendly and attentive, the drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebration. I would highly recommend this bar for anyone looking to host a birthday party in a fun and lively setting.
Friendly staff, good selection of beers and a nice burger!
Great drinks. Great wings, good cheese curds
One of the best cider in the city
Uncomfortable place
The security guard on 6/23/23 is an absolute nightmare. First I show up and present my ID. His first comment is I hope youre not here to use the bathroom meanwhile I am with my wife and mother in law and we wanted a few rounds of drinks before going home. I present my ID and say well, because you said that I dont want to come in anymore he proceeds to swear at me.0/10 do not recommend. Please hire better staff that isnt aggressive when youre trying to have a drink after getting out of work while hanging with family. Each of the other businesses on the block are better. Would recommend The Belfry and Jackdraw before coming to this place.
I wouldnt go back to a pub where France loses the rugby world cup. Though the quality of the service, chicken pie and Guinness deserves my stars.
Really good gin cocktails - food just ok
Great gin/beers bar, good service and never overly crowded
Good bar for after work drinks. Gets very crowded and service gets slow.
A bit on the pricey side but a fun place to hang with a large group.
It truly pains me to write a negative review on a place that I have supported, recommended to family and friends for three years now. I hosted an event at the Winslow on 2020 and had an amazing time. The customer service was great, food was good, and the staff was very accommodating. When I wanted to host an event again to celebrate my mothers birthday, the Winslow was the first place that came to mind. Unfortunately, I was not met with the same hospitality I did in 2020. My first interactions with the event planner, Emma, was not pleasant at all. Her tone was harsh and attitude was felt through the phone calls. She made me feel like it was an issue to ask questions. Despite this, I still decided to proceed with hosting my event there because of how much I enjoyed my last event there and working with Mark. Fast forward to this past Saturday, everything was great until I came in contact with Katarina. She has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. I have never came in contact with someone as condescending and rude as her. In my honest opinion, I feel Katarina is not used to dealing with people of color, specifically Black women. I had questions and concerns and was just trying to get to the bottom of it. Immediately, she went into defense mode and was so nasty. I never raised my voice or called her out her name. There was some miscommunication and all I wanted clarity. Instead of her being kind and treating people with respect, I had to end my perfect night feeling disrespected and not taking seriously because of the color of my skin. I must shoutout Maya and Shakira who were AMAZING to work with! They made sure my party was well taken cared of and I truly appreciate them. Again, this is a place I have supported over the years but I DO NOT tolerate disrespect so I can no longer support this business. Message to leadership: please hire people that know how to interact with people of all races, ethnicities, gender, etc..
Celebrated a birthday here back in September and it was truly the best experience! The service was phenomenal, the food was delicious and the space to host was quite big! Will be coming back. Great experience :)
The staff was 5 stars. Just excellent. Every single person was amazing. They lose stars because the drinks were weak and the bathroom situation was absolutely horrible. 1 bathroom for a bar full of women??! That was clearly not cleaned in a long time ??! (Mold in the paper towel holder, empty drink glasses on the sink, wet everywhere) …
Good pub food. High drink costs..so beware who youre going with
Great gin bar, super friendly staff. You can try neat gins and everything (I strongly recommend if you want to have a chill night with a glass of gin the hand). And Ive seen the Goonies there on Christmas Eve so easy 5 stars 🤩
Great verity of gin
Booked the back room for a private event - everyone was so helpful answering my many questions. During the event, staff was so attentive and made sure everything was taken care of in the room. Good music and good food too!
I am a gin person and this place got my gin heart ❤ every drink made was a drink that hits my heart
Who doesnt love a great Gin Bar? I guess non-gin drinkers but whos hanging out with them anyways? This is a fantastic place to relax and unwind and their food is just as good as their cocktails. Okay, yes. If you dont like gin they have several other options including beer, and other assorted liquors. A great place to bring your friends.
Really good and personalized gin and tonics, which are well priced
Maybe they had an off night. Service was poor (understaffed) and food was very pedestrian.
Trendy gin bar with a vast gin menu. Be sure to book since they get busy, especially if you are in a bigger group. Decent selection of draft beers and other spirits available. There is a limited soft drinks menu though which surprised us given the fun mixers for the gin cocktails.Friendly staff and helpful/knowledgeable to help guide you through the menu. The food is also of good quality too.
Good bar where you can not only sit and drink, but dance too.
Excellent gin selection. Prime place to watch Rugby.
Ive attended many events for friends here, so when planning a going away party for my husband and I, the Winslow was the obvious choice for us. The servers go above and beyond, the back room is large and private, and the food and drinks are top notch. Its super easy to book with them and very easy to hit the required minimum with a guest count over 10.
Good bar, sophisticated menu. Prices are a tad high.
Solid Happy Hour deals and goes a little later than a lot of spots in the area. And w such a Great Ginventory, how could you not! A gin lovers dream, in terms of selection. While not my aesthetic energy I will surly find my way here frequently!!
Way too loud, but the music is good and the service is good
This is the best bar in New York, maybe the world. The staff is amazing, the drinks are great, and food is delicious. Also a wonderful place for private and semi private parties!
I absolutely love this place. Definitely my favorite gin bar. Big selection of gin and gin based drinks. Good food and music. Have a semi private room in the back in which I used to host couple of my birthdays. Great spot for big parties but good as well for a date night.
My bar. This is my favorite place to drink in the city. But bit pricy.
Great service and great staff if I could give it 6 stars I would.
Had a blast here the other night. Music selection was on point.
Went for a friends birthday party - their back room was nice and service was good
Great spot for a party. Love the snug in the downstairs pub.
Don’t watch the arsenal game here they might change the TV on you
Terrible bar service. I was being harassed by a male while waiting at the bar. the female bartender tended to all the males instead of me, whom had been waiting for 20 minutes. When she attended to the male instead of me I said “excuse me, i have been waiting over 20 minutes and all I would like is water”. She refused to serve me and the male continued to harass me because the female bartender encouraged him. I will NEVER be back. DISCRIMINATORY AND SEXIST.
Very good bar. Get the chicken nuggets. They were incredible. Don’t get the sausage roll, it wasn’t my favorite l.
Pleasant staff; place starts rather quiet early evening and then it gets loud as the crowds roll in
Pretty awesome drinks, cool atmosphere
Was looking for a place to watch the Ravens game, and stumbled into this place. They turned the game on on the tv right influence front of us. Food came out pretty quickly and was so good. I had the bacon, egg ad cheese sandwich. My boyfriend had the Irish breakfast and both meals were delicious. The atmosphere is perfect. Wasnt crazy busy. The people that work here are all so nice. I definitely recommend this place.
Great food, I usually go for brunch!
My new favorite place! Thank you, Emma, for your brilliance of gins and radiance of spirit!
Great place to watch the rugby Six Nations !
Wonderful layout in this place. Lots of room to move throughout 3 different rooms. Clean design and plenty of seating. Food was yummy. Drinks are priced as they are in Manhattan. An overall fun vibe.
Great selection of gins, nice staff. All the gin cocktails are on the traditional sweet side of things, but gin is such a great spirit for savory cocktails. As a gin place, they should have at least one savory style cocktail on their menu.
The best spot in all of NYC. Phenomenal atmosphere, staff, service and of course gin. Head here for any occasion and you will not be disappointed, check out their gin clubs on Tuesday evenings for the best of evenings!
Invest in better AC. Or at least a few fans
Held our Christmas party there. Staff are friendly. They have a good happy hour and very nice gin and tonic. We had several samples of food. It was cute and the appetizers were very nice. Sliders were good. And the hot peppers roastrd with sauce. (I wish i had paid attention to what theyre called)Overall, good experience.
Had an excellent service experience with Mark (believe hes the GM) i planned a work HH here and he was a breeze to work with. Food was good (gotta try their fries) and I LOVED the gin selections. I am obsessed with earl grey tea & they had an earl grey tea infused gin 😳 it was lovely! Will be back!
Great gin drinks, many different gins
Great drinks at reasonable price and super attentive staff - the bartender came around and checked that we were enjoying the drinks and gave helpful recommendations. Went on a Thursday evening & we were seated immediately. Definitely will be coming back
A diverse menu of both gin and food. They offer particularly unique food options, like masala chicken wings, and the scotch egg is worth the praise it gets from other reviews. We went there with two other people who dont really like gin, however, due to the quality and range of flavors, everyone found at least two kinds they greatly enjoyed. The cost is pretty normal for NYC but the value of our experience made it worthwhile.
The Winslow is famous for gin, so if youre into gin its definitely with your time. I dont know gin, but they have 40+ gins, so they must mean business when it comes to gin. There are plenty of TVs for sports, and a private, glass-enclosed room in the back with a TV you can rent (I believe, Ive seen some small groups there, may just be FCFS). The service and food is decent, which is the only thing making this a 4 and not 5 star review. Its not a must-do (unless you live gin), but its a reliable stop for a good meal and drink.
Absolute gem of a place the best bar in manhattan by far. Adam the guy in control is amazing always ready to chat and make you feel welcome. Come mid week fit chats and quiet drinks on the weekend music goes up and its party time. Fantastic selection of American and U.K. Beers. Dont miss the Winslow ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Really good bar in the EV that does solid cocktails, huge gin range and a solid happy hour, along with sports shown, brunches etc but certainly no dive. Good date spot too
Standard bar with a good area for groups in the back.
Great customer service. Fun trivia night. Great food and drinks.
Enjoyed trying out a new gin (the blood orange) and would like to try the gin flights on our next visit, as well as the foid. We also tried the nuts as a lighter snack and they were great. Ambiance is very nice. Make a reservation for dinner as it was very crowded.
A neat space but just okay pricey cocktails. The gin flight was definitely the best deal for your money. There was live music....but it was not good live music on the night we visited. A decent place for a drink but nothing out of the ordinary.
