Located in the middle of Ktown, this place is spot on for yummy food and cocktails!Highlights of the menu:1. Fried squid tentacles2. Spicy rice, cake, and fish cake soup3. Korean pork Katsu cutlet4. Karaage5. Green tea mochi five pieces6. Maze margarita7. Coconut mai tai8. Maze mojito
Just visited The Maze Eatery & Bar and it was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish! The drinks were a perfect kickoff, especially the Maze Mojito and the vibrant Dragonfruit Cosmopolitan, not to mention the fun assortment of flavored vodka shots. The appetizers set a high bar. The Uni Cream Croquette was creamy and luxurious, while the Bacon Gnocchi Corn Cheese was comfort food at its finest. The mains were equally impressive. The Marinated Whole Eel Over Furikake Rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the Kimchi Bacon Cream Pasta was an innovative blend of flavors that tickled the palate. We topped off the meal with Green Tea Mochi, which was the perfect sweet note to end on. The vibes at The Maze are lively and inviting.
I was looking forward to trying this restaurant in the city. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I found the restaurant, and it was on the upper level. When I walked in, I loved the decor. We were sat and served by Serin and Roberto. We started with Maze Martini and the Maze Mojito, which were really good drinks. For our appetizers, we had the Grilled scallops, which were good but a tad rubbery and the chicken wings, which were good. For our entrées we had the garlic butter shrimp and the scallop gorgonzola gnocchi. The shrimp was good, but the gnocchi was delicious! For dessert, we had the green tea mochi, which was tasty. We ordered everything via computer. It was a really good experience!
We came to this place on a Sunday night since it was open late. We ordered a classic mint mojito ($13) and margaritas ($15) off of the tabletop device they have available for individuals to order off of. The drinks were good, but not anything out of this world, as there are some super delicious places to eat/drink at in NYC.Things to consider:1. There is a very small elevator that goes up to the 3rd floor that gets you to the bar/restaurant. It barely fit 3 of us, so I would recommend taking the stairs, right past the elevator.2. They ID.3. You will order everything on a tabletop device, so you will have to call over the waiter for any questions or recs.We didn’t try the food at all due to having already eaten dinner at a different place, but the food is Korean fusion and if you’re into this type of food, this place is decorated very cute for a girls night out or a cute date night experience for food and drinks. There is greenery and faux flowers hanging from all of the walls and ceiling giving it a super cute look. Perfect place to go to for pictures and cute backgrounds!
It’s a no from me. $14 for a house tequila lemonade ? Why? It tasted like nothing, felt like nothing, besides that I was robbed! The bartender was nice at least, but if I come back here, it’ll be for happy hour. We had just missed the happy hour. This place was pretty dead feeling inside too. Dark and not dark in a sexy way.
Love the vibe and atmosphere here! Highly recommend as one of the best resto/bar to visit in K-Town. Definitely try the soju, the omelette looking item. Service is good, falls to passable if really busy.
I was skeptical if the pictures online were going to match the actual decor in person, but this place exceeded my friends and Is expectations! I love the vibes here, the employees were really friendly and attentive with refills, and prices for food and drinks were pretty good as well. I cant speak for weekend days, but coming in on a Tuesday evening it was lowkey and really nice. Will definitely be bringing more people here!
You will be asked for ID before you get on the elevator and again at the host stand so just FYI. The music is loud so dont expect to have lots of conversation but the ambiance in here is great. We got 2 martinis, 1 mojito and a bulgogi quesadilla + chicken wings. The drinks were pretty strong and the food was good as well. Our bill came out to $106 after taxes and their automatic 20% service charge.
Great cocktail list… Me and my partner tried the maze margarita and the Paloma and it was great. Awesome decor will come comeback. Also you can rent a power bank just in case of that phone is dying
Loved the ambiance here! The ceiling lights are super cool too and nice for pictures. Food is okay—tried the Crispy Dumplings, Grilled Pork Belly, and Special Army Stew (with ramen). For drinks, the Passionfruit and Lychee Soju were super sweet but pretty tasty.
It’s fine? But in this are you can do better. Main thing is the drinks are absurdly sweet. Cocktails are cheaper, 15 or so, but I’d rather pay 18-22 for stronger and more varied flavor. Main flavor is just sweet.
If you arent looking for this place, you will miss it in more ways than one. This is a little bit of a hidden gem on the 2nd floor on the given address. There is an elevator that has a sign in it asking people not to jump in it 😳, like that needs saying, or you will get stuck. The stairs are steep, so pick your poison. Now, to the restaurant. We were greeted promptly by someone who seemed to the host, bartender, and server. He handled it with grace and was so pleasant getting us seated and taking care of us while other staff arrived. We ordered the sampler and bulgogi, which was more than enough food for two people. For drinks, we had the bottled strawberry soju, a blackberry margarita, and a passion fruit margarita. Everything was great, including the atmosphere...it was a vibe.
Yummy korean food and excellent cocktails !
I definitely need to come back here and not save this as the last place I go to to end my night. It was pretty empty by the time I got in there which was around two in the morning. We ended up getting free drinks because they were winding down and the bartender was cool so we had a nice chat. I cant give it five stars because I didnt have a true full on experience here, but its definitely worth coming back to. Though the space is narrow, it is pretty long and more spacious than anticipated.Ill be back to give a more fair review, but I can at least say so far so good!
Good vibes good people. Everyone here is super nice, great service and ambience. They have full bar with all the liquors and they have letter M shaped ice! (Bc they’re bar Maze) anyways, give it a try, you’ll like it!
This place is really fun to come to for a fun night out or pre drinking. The vibe and music are both great :)
Loved the food but they need to organize this place. The service was not good, we have to ask for our food multiple times and waited an hour for apps and dinner.
It is the best Korean restaurant in NYC. (Given there are not many lol ) good selection of drinks and their food are definitely restaurant level. The only thing is if there were more leg rooms under the seats too crowded
Pros: great service, food and drink come quickly, ambianceCons: shady elevator to get up to the joint, expensive soju, typical late night oily foods
I visited all the way from Miami looking for a chill yet vibrant ambience where my friends and I could pre-game before a concert at nearby Madison Square Garden. Not only was The Maze 32 the perfect spot to be at that particular moment but what truly made the experience special was their knowledgeable hidden gem of a bartender Valerie. She was able to make personalized recommendations on drinks and food based on our flavor preferences. We felt instantly welcome and will definitely visit again when near K-Town!
My boyfriend brought me here as part of my birthday celebration this past weekend. I enjoyed it so much! The bartender Ariel was so sweet & attentive 😊 The manager was friendly & made us feel at home. We had margaritas & guys you must try the Lychee mojito omg so good! We ordered the wings & cheesy rice balls😋🤤It was fresh & tasty. The decor is beautiful, the place was super clean also (bathrooms included). They brought out sparklers for my bday lol it was so cute! We will 100% be back & I recommend Maze to anyone👍🏽
Great ambiance and place to hang out at night or on weekends! Great snack food and cocktails too! I loved the crispy squid.
I adore the aesthetic! The attention to detail in regards to the theme is great. The drinks were also delicious! It’s a bit pricey, but I would return.
Had the most amazing time here thanks to our wonderful server Jason! He was super attentive and knowledgeable about everything on the menu, and his customer service was out of this world! Ambiance was beautiful, too. 10/10 would recommend!
✨ Discover The Maze, an incredible Korean fusion restaurant and bar in K-town! With an array of delicious Korean small dishes, every bite is bursting with flavor. The interior is stunning, the bar and ceilings are gorgeous, and the cocktails are amazing! 🍹🌟 Our favorites included the Korean chasu, spicy rice cake & fish cake and uni cream croquette. This popular spot is usually packed, so make sure to book your reservations in advance.📸 Overall, we had an awesome experience and can’t wait to come back soon!We ordered ⤵️Spicy rice cake and fish cake soupUni cream croquettesKorean chasuFried dumplingsTruffle Mushroom RisottoScallop gorgonzolaCold noodleFollow @spinx17 for more NYC food recs!
Came here for a post-dinner drink after hearing good things about it on the web. Located on the third floor of one of the various K-Town buildings, which adds a layer of “where-is-this-place” coolness. We sat at the bar and arrived just before the end of happy hour. I had a lychee martini, which was delicious but not really memorable. The vibe of the place however is spot on and it has some really cool lighting features at the bar and in the back. This is a perfect happy hour spot with great service, good drinks. Can’t speak for the food but I would definitely come back to try.Come here for happy hour K-Town coolness.
The best bar in ktown. All the staff are super helpful and nice, and the food is amazing. I love their mojitos and their selection of whiskey. The blueberry crush is SOOOO good. Food is amazing too. Their mussels are honestly the best in the city and that’s coming from someone who’s been to almost every single michelin star French restaurant in the city. At the bar, ask for Ariel, Claire, or Kevin. They are the NICEST baretenders you’ll ever have..
After picking this restaurant on a whim, we were blown away by the unique and fun atmosphere with amazing service to match. The spicy pork over rice was fantastic, each drink we tried was beautifully prepared, and the value of what we purchased was next level. WILL BE BACK!!!
Its been a while since I came back here and most of the menu has changed. The menu has changed but its even tastier!! Definitely recommend and try it
I don’t want to call them racist but I experienced has changed my entire view here. I’ve come many times and loved it but this time the front desk/ bartender tried to embarrass me and scream out my card declined. I have chase so unrecognized charged get flagged. When I told her to run it again in front of everyone she screamed out “no it declined”. I had to literally show her my account to have her run it again. No one should ever go through this. It was disgusting and ridiculous and I will never come back. She didn’t treat the ppl next to us like this and all I needed her to do was run it again but instead she tried to belittle me. I will make sure myself and no one I know comes back here which is sad because I used to enjoy it! I’m disgusted by the treatment yet I still tipped because unlike their hostess I have class.
Cute bar aesthetic, comfortable for friends hanging out. Server was kind and funny. Only downside is that its on the third floor with tiny stairs that may collapse at any moment. The alternative is a tiny elevator that will not fit all your friends.
Diego was a great server, professional, courteous, helpful recommendations with menu and surroundings. Definitely coming back. Thanks we had a great time🙏🤝🫡💯
The Maze is great! Diego was so helpful and the drinks were wonderful. I love the atmosphere of, the greenery hanging from the ceiling is so incredible
Ive been to The Maze many times now because its reliable and always a good time. The service and the atmosphere are great. Their food is just alright which is the reason behind 4 stars instead of 5, but that hasnt stopped me from going back. Its a good spot if youre just 1 or 2 people to sit at the bar (8-10 seats) and good from larger groups too.
The staff at this place act like they own the place. As soon as we entered we asked for a table, the waiter said (in a tone not so pleasant) if you’re not going to order you can sit at the bar. The place was quite empty so I don’t see a reason to not get a table. We agreed and said we’ll order food as well, (that qualified us for a table). Anyways, it was my friend’s birthday and I asked the waiter if they did any birthday shots or had any celebratory deserts we could order. The waiter was very rude and said it depends on what you’ll order. I told him my order (food +drinks) and he straight up ignored me and didn’t even say if they had any birthday promos or deserts. I walked to my table hoping they give an answer but no one showed up. At the end when our check was brought out, the waiter came in with a small ice cream cup and put it on the table and said that’s for the birthday. All this time, no one said anything, I was ignored on the face only to have him slam the cup on the table. They need to be trained in hospitality. You guys need to stop being rude and ignorant.Worst customer service ever!I do not recommend this place. Please do check the reviews before going to this restaurant/bar.
I came to Maze for after-dinner drinks with friends. The atmosphere was chill and we loved it. However, the cocktails were overly sweet (even though I love sweet) and we couldn’t finish them. Wouldn’t recommend the Maze Bellini ($13+) or Maze Martini ($14+). We were also turned off by the automatic 20% service charge added to our bill. The atmosphere was cool, so it’s too bad the rest of the experience wasn’t.
The bartender Dan carried the experience the entire time I was here. His drinks were phenomenal and his personality was hilarious. Overall, the time I spent here was great and Its definitely someplace i will come back to every time Im in NYC.
Great vibe, I really love the music here. Service is great as well
Really cool place to just chill and drink and listen to awesome music! They had a nice mix of kpop, khiphop, techno, and older stuff like Queen. Staff were all over the place but easy to flag down and prices were reasonable if youre in a group.
Drinks were really good and less expensive than other bars in the area. The bartender (Sauss?) was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Atmosphere, decor, music, and service were all great. If youre not planning on getting food I recommend sitting at the bar.
Amazing place I had so much fun over here. Tanya is amazing she is a cool bartender. She makes these wonderful drinks that are on point. 😄
I have never written a review on a restaurant in my entire life. However, my experience at this establishment was so horrendous that I think it’s time to start. Rich was quite literally the worst server I have ever had in my entire life. I have worked in the food industry for the past three years so I genuinely understand how difficult it is and how stressful larger parties are. However, he lacked patience and forced us to put in our food orders when half of the table was not there yet. This I understand due to table hold times, however what I don’t understand is how he could possibly miss three of our food orders and make us call him over multiple times rather than checking on us in the first place to fix them. Not only did he forget one meal entirely, but he tried to give a guest at my table a different plate. When working in a restaurant, things get mixed up and forgotten, especially in large parties. It is what it is, but after all he had forgotten, he never once apologized for his mistakes. Horrible hospitality, and the rest of the staff were just plain rude. Save yourself some time and do not go here. The food tastes the same as a quick service chinese food place, atmosphere is mid, and service is horrible. Rich definitely needs to rethink his employment as a server, it’s not for everyone 💀💀 bathroom also dirty
The food was great. Service was quick and spot on. Shout out to D for the great drinks . Definitely recommend The Maze for friendly outings and date nights. Hands down best soju in Ktown too. I also recommend the bulgogi quesadilla for a juicy shareable entree.
Amazing food and vibe! Had my birthday dinner here and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. Highly rec!!!
We went for my friends birthday and it was such a great intimate spot. The food portions were great for sharing so we each got to have a little bit of everything. Our server Ari took really great care of us and the drinks were excellent!
Was literally coming down in the elevator from the weird karaoke upstairs and heard the music playing so me and my friend stopped here and thankfully we did. The lady at the bar was so nice and cool! The vibes was good and the decor in the restaurant was so nice! Drink 10/10 , can’t wait to try the food when I come back! Oh and the music was on point
Very Very good food, chill music, nice ambiance. I made a good choice on my birthday. beautiful staff great customer service
I went here a few times and really enjoyed myself. The service is good as long as it’s not super busy, drinks were nice and strong, atmosphere is top tier - a great backdrop for group pics as long as everyone is dressed decent. It’s sorta cozy in there, can feel even smaller when it’s hella packed. Service is always fast, friendly, they always check on you to see if you’re good, or ready for the bill (but not pushy). I will say though music tend to be way way too loud, like ear ringing loud sometimes so don’t be afraid to ask they lower it a bit. The bathroom could be a little more organized and sanitary but again don’t hesitate to point it out. Food prices wasn’t too bad, typical of what I’d expect for a restaurant in that area, and it helps that the food is really good. I’ve tried their fries, dumplings, wings, and a few other things I can’t remember but I can’t say I ever left there and I didn’t like something. My only gripe is the elevator that take you up to the place feels like a death trap. It’s soo TINY! The sign inside it says 5 person capacity and I’m like where the other 2 people fitting!? Maybe 5 slim people but baby if you and friends are big guys or some curvy girls with some hips just minus 2 people or take the steps - just a heads up if you’re going with a big group. Everytime I get in the elevator I pray the lil rickety thing makes it up and down. Anyway overall this place passes the vibe check. The waiters and hosts even have electronic name tags that have their name. So cute! And the bar look like a lush green oasis. Please don’t hesitate to go. It opens in the afternoon but it’s also good to pop in for some late night eats and vibe out or if you’re in the area looking for something to take away as well.
The kimchi creamy pasta and fried squid tentacles were a-maze-ing!!! The aesthetics was also super cute and just chefs kiss. I like that you can easily order through an iPad at the table and the food comes out pretty fast. Highly recommend if youre looking for a chill place to eat and hang out with friends. Tanya and Rico are the best!
This place is a hidden gem. Not only the place was wonderful and well decorated but the bartender here named Valerie was Amazing thank you for all the recommendations and for making my night awesome :)
Dan is one of the coolest bartenders at The Maze. Amazing skills and actually puts his love into his drinks. You want a perfectly made drink? Come to The Maze and Dan will whip you up something beautiful.
Wow! The Maze is an absolute gem! I was blown away by the incredible value. where else can you find highballs this good for just $14? 😚And lets talk about their Tteok-bokki 🔥 The spicy rice cake here is hands down the most delicious Ive ever had. You absolutely must try it! 👍 Also their Kimchi Cream Pasta is legendary for a reason. 💖 As a Korean, I had high expectations, and The Maze exceeded them all.And finally, the Green Tea Mochi. SUPER DELICIOUS JUST TRY 🫶
Enjoyed lychee mojito. Nice staffs and great atmosphere. Had fun with friends. Definitely Will go again!!!
Great atmosphere with a wonderful view and nice bar. Its a great place to go with friends but you will find yourself easily making your pockets hurt with all the Korean inspired cuisine that they have to offer. Its all well prepared with a beautiful presentation. Waiters and waitresses have their names on bright display and are kind without being annoying.
Looking for a place to hang out after a Knicks game and was pleasantly surprised that they could accommodate our large group so quickly. Great music and great atmosphere! The food was great as well! Definitely recommend! Tanya and Rico were amazing hosts as well!!!
Such a cute LATE NIGHT spot me and some friends were there until about 2 am. Food was fresh, drinks were good, and everything on the menu was under $25 more or less. I definitely recommend!
The place was calm but my server (Rich) was very rude to my friends and I. He also lacks patience. The drinks were the best part. The food didn’t have much options especially for people who don’t eat pork/seafood.
Beautiful atmosphere!!! Food and drinks were super delicious. The service was very good as well. Our waiters were great got the orders correct, and made sure our table was was good on refreshing our beverages. Its a very nice vibe!
Really nice food and great place to enjoy a night
Ive been here several times now, once during the late afternoon and the other times late night. Its always a vibe and very aesthetic place! Ive also had the fries and they were very good. The servers are very nice and we know a couple by name. The place sometimes gets very cramped and hard to seat larger groups more than four and the price is a little high for the food, but otherwise a nice place to hangout!
Excellent Cocktails! Especially drinking with prosciutto burrata cheese is my favorite:)
The food is average and the cocktails were horribly made. The maze 75 and the blueberry mojito were overly sweet. The food that you are required to get is basic and lacks variety.Alot of better places to go in ktown.
Gorgeous cozy bar. I had this lychee mix. I cant wait to return.
Amazing! I usually only come for Ariel and her good vibes, but the staff today was LIT. Our waitress was phenomenal and the drink’s definitely hit. Try the Lavender Soju! It goes down like water
Bar was really attentive! I had a awesome bachelor party with about 32 of my mates and we all had a really good time. We had a young man named jonghyeob to serve us drinks and he really chill. The place had good vibes. Would definitely go back and invite more people!
Great place. Easy to miss though when walking by. I want to come back and try more things!
Ambiance was good; but the cocktails were sweet, and food was greasy. What made me decide to give two stars was that they initially did not want to honor their happy hour rates, even if two of the three sets of orders were done before 7 PM which is the happy hour cut-off time. Feel free to check your CCTV. Im 100% sure that youre wrong. Our experience was far from pleasant due to this. It was our first visit; and will never go back.
Tania and Rico were amazing and the drinks were yummy !
Tasty food with generous portions. Great vibe.
I was here last week for the first time. I found the place very nice inside. There is lots of flowers, branches and leaves which gives you a forest like visual. However, I found the food to be just OK. I was expecting I bit more Korean type of food but there is not much variety in the menu. The cocktails are quiet pricey but it’s expected since it’s in the city. I don’t recommend red wine, I would stay with other cocktail Drinks. Personal was good and attentive.
We came on a rainy day, most of the resturant was empty. We wanted to just get drinks and the host told us that we can only sit at the bar if we want drinks. Okay fine, but there were no seats available. My party ended up standing near the elevator door like deer in the headlights while the host and two other waiters stood there chatting.Since the place was fairly empty, we decided to help ourselves with a seat since nobody who worked there wanted to help us out. As soon as I approach a table the manager runs towards us, blocking us from taking a seat and said You cant sit here. So were super confused. Theres no seat at the bar, your resturant is 75% empty, and you wont let us sit. Really scratching my head here because Ive never encountered this poor customer service before. So we told her well order food, then she goes on to put us all the way in the back . Never coming back here.
I usually dont write reviews but this place has a special place in my heart. The maze hasgreat drinks, great food, great service, and a very nice floral decoration right in the heart of ktown. almost feels like a speakeasy, because of where they are located. all the staff is very friendly and attentive. the crispy dumpling is very good and the Oden soup is perfect for cold winters day. great selection of beer and and whiskey. my bartenders name started with an A. cant remember her name but look for her. wont regret coming here.
Amazing ambiance. We came here on a Tuesday and we’re sat right away, but there were few free tables. The server was attentive and kind. The best part of the meal were the fried dumplings in my opinion, however I won’t lie, they tasted like the frozen ones you buy at H mart. I ordered the bulgogi fajita and my tortilla were soaked in juices from the meat. The cocktails were great, just small.
I wish there was a way to rate this place with a 0. Staff are rude especially Jason and used words like hes going to kick me out if I drink as I didnt bring my passport with me. I think for someone in the service industry he and the rest of the staff should be taught some manners and no wonder other bars in the area had more people. Dont recommend and suggest to go elsewhere.
Beautiful place to spend happy hour. Happy hour prices are very reasonable. Servers were friendly and even came to tell us Happy Hour would be ending in 5 minutes. The food was delicious. I do wish the tacos were bigger but it was still incredibly good.
This place was chill and very relaxing.Jonghyeob was our server and he made us amazing cocktails.Recommend the platter, 찌개, and fries.Coming back again next week on my day off.
Went with a large group of friends from law school and we were treated kindly despite our large group size. Soju was tasty and a favorite at the table. Cauliflower appetizer was amazing. Vegetarian and vegan options available. Note: be mindful of the stairs if you choose to take them, as they’re carpeted and very, very small and narrow. The elevator gets a little funny and likes to stall and it’s incredibly narrow, so maybe not all that accessible.
Tanya is best bartender/cocktail magician out here and being in the middle of manhattan is undefeated come here for the best environment and quality drinks
Oh well, I guess you dont care at this point, but... What are your hours??? What happened to yall?? As much as you put out reels on insta, can you at least check if your hours are correctly listed?? I wouldnt normally write this type of reviews, but its just sad to see this place going downhill... We used to come here a lot last year, and it was always welcoming even towards the end of the night. Due to our jobs (nightlife) we could only come here late night, and we understand staff had a long night, but not only we always took care of them with good tips, but we became good friends with the staff back then like Jun and Jason. However, recently when me and my friends visited Maze, it was not the same. Well, we couldnt even get in. Even an hour before its closing time. Doesnt matter what day of the week it seems. We came Wednesday around 1:20, nope couldnt get in. Elevator wasnt working, so we took the stairs, but they shut the door on us even if I saw people still in there ordering drinks as we were trying to find out what the deal is... Maybe weekends a little different story? Visited again tonight after work around 2:40 (NOT EVEN 3), guess what! Already closed... I dont understand. Cmon... I was so embarrassed in front of my friends I brought to show the place TWICE!! I really used to enjoy coming here before heading home for a night cap, and honestly miss it SO much! I really am sad to leave this review to a place I used to love, but I really hope this gets to you for the better. Please bring back the good times!
Maze is my go to place for food and drinks when Im in K-Town. The food is consistently made well (Japchae is my favorite!) and the drinks are alwaus yummy. I cant recommend this place enough. Ive never had to wait long for a table, but Id suggest making reservations because they do tend to get busy!
Staff was friendly and attentive. Decor was beautiful. I would not call this Korean fusion, I would call this Mexican fusion with Korean elements. Which is fine, just different if youre expecting more predominatly Korean. My martini was made well, jalapeno poppers were good, albeit not Korean influenced.
The place is nice looking and staff is fairly friendly but the drinks are horrible. I ordered a mango mojito which didn’t taste good at all. One of my friends had to give back her drink because it was just not good.
Theyve got happy hour till 8pm. Service was excellent and the food was great too! You will have to use a janky looking elevator to get up there but once youre past that, its smooth sailing.
The soju drinks are the worst and get drunk quickly. Foods are fine.
Great for different group sizes ranging from 4-20+! We were here for happy hour and a quick snack before dinner, the drinks were fantastic and they have pretty good selection of alcohol so they can make pretty much anything you want if you ask. The seating next to the window is the best so try and sit there if you can. Alternatively if you want to just decompress with a drink the bar is a great choice (they even let you charge your phone at the bar if they arent too busy and if you ask nicely)Good experience overall! Nice little upstairs gem in the middle of Korea Town!
Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! Great drinks! Ive been here twice and will definitely keep coming back 😊
Literally the BEST SPOT to get lit 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 best service and authentic Korean food ☻ 🥹🥹🥹👅🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 we DEMOLISHED it
I love the staff and the food. A special shout out to PJ, Jay, Val, and William!! Their staff and service is great! A really fun pregame spot or post game spot with reasonably priced items :)
Great spot for drinks with coworkers! Diego is the best server ever!
Gorgeous ambiance. The staff is courteous and well mannered.
I swung by here for the first time in years with a friend. We came in around 7pm on a saturday night ( just before rush hour). The receptionist told us we had to wait 20 mins for a table for two when there were clearly open tables all around the restaurant. I thought this was a bit odd (no way all these tables were reserved). I asked them very politely if we can be seated at any open table (4 person seat). They reluctantly said yes and we were seated right away. Minor hiccup on service.. moving on.. This night we ordered the spicy and sweet chicken wing, bulgogi tacos and sweet potato fries. The sweet spicy wings were well fried but the sauce didnt taste right (the raw gochujang aka pepper paste was overwhelming in the sauce), tacos were flavorful but super tiny and a bit on the dry side, and sweet potatoe fries were avg at the best (def couldve used more crunch). For the size and quality, the price of food was a bit high. As far as the space, it is cozy and the decor inside was viby-could be a decent first drink date option. Overall, I probably would not go here again esp for the food. Many better options in koreatown for korean bar food in my opinion.
I was extremely surprised by this place. In the middle of k-town, but not an explicitly Korean restaurant. The menu contains a mix of Korean and American fare, and it was all surprisingly delicious. The decor is cool, and pristine. Definitely a great spot for after-work, drinks, bites, and relaxing.
I LOOOOVE THE MAZE. The vibe is very casual and chill and also every cool. Very nice place to mustard with the guys and the bartenders are super friendly especially that fella Kevin~ definitely gonna be coming here often!
Pretty cute bar / restaurant in ktown. Drinks are alright , some are misses and some are hits.
Food is pretty good given that this place is mainly a place to drink. The service is mediocre now (what it used to be), and the atmosphere is slightly dead (but still loud and creepy). Wish they would have friendlier staff with better cocktail options and specials.
If i could give 0 stars I would. THEY ARE EXTREMELY RACIST. I came in with a friend atleast 3 hours before closing and when we got there the waiter was friendly and tried to give us a table but when the MANAGER saw us he immediately rejected us and said we were closed. I guess we werent the right type of Asian for them. NEVER EVER SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.
Went here for the first and last time yesterday. The place is small and the food is super basic. The service was the worst and took forever to order even while it was slow. The staff was unprofessional and even forgot our dinner entree twice.
Has a nice atmosphere and is pretty chill to hang out at. We were able to get seats pretty fast and easily with a party of 7 so I appreciate the waiter for that. Would go back here for the pitcher somaek.
Seated immediately. Menu was explained in detail. Our server cooked up our food on the table BBQ and talked us through what all the dishes were, and what pairs the best. Has a cozy bar upstairs also.
Ariel is dope! She got us super drunk and gave such good recommendations.
Went here for a date night and it surpassed my expectations! The food and drinks are amazing. My date picked perfectly, will be returning for sure.
Do not attend this bar. A friend of mine was harassed, called slurs and physically assaulted. The staff proceeded to make my group leave and let the assaulter stay, because he was a regular. I repeat, do not attend this bar. Dangerous people are regulars here.
My friend and I had such an amazing time! We had the paloma, hypnotiq sour, Mandy, and cheese corn gnocchi! Diego was such a great server! He made sure we laughed and enjoyed ourselves!
The atmosphere is amazing the drinks and the people were great a cool spot to hang out . The three Fs food , fun and friends to enjoy your night with its a vibe
Amazing first time experience. Tanya was informative, suggested great menu items. If you’re in the area stop by and ask for her !!!
Had a great time here ! the food and drinks were top tier and delicious. Tanya the bartender was fantastic with my margarita , will for sure come back !:)
Gina and Claire are the ones you want to see. They are fast, attentive, and love the energy. Come ready to party. Hope you can handle them. Oh the food is great too
This place is a vibe. Recommended by our server at NUBIANI, and it def hit. 💯 Cozy, with great music, good for a group or a duo!
Outdoor seating due C-19 so took a moment for service. Food was absolutely delicious and the music on point.
Came to Maze on a Sunday night. We had Luna as our bartender, and she was so much fun and provided excellent service. Would definitely come back again!
Great food and great people, what else can you ask forJay, Val, PJ, and William are so hospitable, they will take care of you and make sure you’re having a good timeWill definitely be back frequently
Horrible horrible horrible service. The bartender, her name starts with A…. treated us like we came to dine and wine for free ! Worst service. At the same time, the drinks was so bad. This was my 3rd time going there but i will never return ! Had to leave this place right away feeling exasperated
Had a great time with friends. Good service and food. Dan was friendly and attentive.
Claire and Jun were the best - maze is a great spot to go to if you’re in New York City. Drinks are legendary and atmosphere is unparalleled.
Must visit!! Every foods were so good
Great spot, been here a few times and the music and vibes are always 💯Friendly staff, Tanya is super chill, would recommend :)
Staff arent the most attentive, even on a slower night like Tuesday, but the drinks were tasty and the fries were perfectly fried and seasoned.
First time we came here it was amazing! Beautiful and cool drinks and an awesome bartender! Recently went back and they completely changed the bar menu, not the original cool innovative drinks we had the first time. Now its just like every other generic bar in NYC. Atmosphere and staff are amazing, just super bummed about the bar menu change.
Great drinks and the bartender was very kind. 10/10 place.
I had a spicy pulled quesadilla and a pineapple Cosmopolitan. Everything was very good. Would recommend.
The manager PJ was very helpful when an issue occurred and spent at least 10 minutes to try and make the night better. I would absolutely recommend this place to someone and if needed I would also say that management was incredibly helpful.
They made me paid for something that I didn’t even eat, just because “they can’t take it off the bill just because you don’t like it, only if there’s something wrong with the food”… never coming here again lol.. the lack of customer service is ridiculous.
I mean there is no better place to spend a happy hour after work
Great vibe and decor inside. The food was very flavorful and filling aswell.
Very alluring vibe once you walk in. Drinks and food are equally yummy and hold up to the atmosphere provided. Would definitely recommend to any passerby.
Super vibey, great bartenders, great drinks. If you’re ever in Ktown, stop by.
The food and drinks are worth the visit. The music can be really loud though. Like a night club without the dancing. If the music was brought down a bit, it would definitely be worth a full 5 stars
Excellent bar! The drinks were good and the staff were great! We had the Mexican cheese fries are a hit, is certainly recommend...
Was looking for a karaoke with an available room. When we got on the elevator, someone made a stop on the third floor. When the doors opened i was captivated by the vibes. I couldn’t get a karaoke room, so i def came back! I had a passion fruit margarita, the champagne mescal, looks can be deceiving, and a lychee soju, which is definitely a must have. Good vibes and great drinks. Valerie, our bartender, was excellent and made our drinks with experienced skill and craft. Didn’t get to try the food but will try to come back for that again to go with the great drinks!
We had the best time! We love Diego who was so hospitable
Great service, drinks and food. Diego was amazing!
Food was incredible, I had a lychee mojito that was really good, and the place is so aesthetically pleasing. I’ll be back!!
Absolutely the best place in ktown. The bartenders are incredibly friendly and charismatic (ask for Kevin!) and the entire team is amazing - PJ, Jun, Jong.Incredible vibes. It gets packed on the weekends so come early!
Great atmosphere, had a great time. Dan at the bar was great too!
Amazing food. They came fast and the soju cocktails are the best💓 Try cream udon and the pork together!
Situated on the 3rd floor of a building on crowded Manhattan street, this is Korean eatery meet Tropical decor in the heart of K-Town! The drinks are absolutely delicious and staff was chatty! We tried their Lychee Soju pitcher which was lit from the bottom (see photo) and was incredibly delicious! The small glasses given to drink this drink was make it seem novel and cute! We also got fries to much on and the special/house sauce was amazing!
Well tended to. Awesome service. Great food BUT the LOUD music and tables of people just screaming at the top of their lungs!!!! Decibel levels are ear shattering. My head hurts.
I’ve been coming here for months and every-time ive been met with great service and drinks! Recommend coming here!
I love their vibe on Saturday. The sampler was good.
Food and drinks are bomb. Surprised that not alot of people know about maze. Bartenders are friendly and made friends. Ariel makes the best mojitos! Ask for her!
Great spot for dinner and drinks! Service was great, food was delicious. Will definitely be back when visiting NYC again. Thank you!
Great food and great service! Our waiter Ari was super nice. I also really enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken, the cocktails and the shots! I would highly recommend.
Amazing tasty food!!!!! Jessica was super helpful with going over the menu. Being a vegetarian is not easy to find food! Recommend 💯!!! Loved it!
Great place for a night out in ktown to grab food and drinks. Well priced and food is really good. Servers are very attentive and accommodating.
Very poor quality of food overall. Drinks are also very poor: just pure ethanol, no bartending skills at all. Would avoid at all cost.
Beautiful space. The waiters and waitresses are also super nice.! Came with friends for a birthday celebration and they treated us amazing. Try the blackberry margarita, its top tier honestly. Food is absolutely amazing as well. Will be coming back again
The most legit bar ever around k-town. Friendly staffs and enjoyable food, drinks, and vibe. Their music is very chilling and relaxing.
Had such a great time here! 5-7pm they have discounted food as well. I love the marinated beef over rice. Will definitely be back A+++++
Food is okay. Drinks good but they tip themselves an absurd amount. I won’t be returning but not upset that I went. If that makes sense.
Had a great time and the servers were so accommodating. Diego is amazing! I’m definitely coming back with big groups.
This place is sub par. Its insta friendly. So youll get some nice pictures. The wings were weird, like mostly breaded than actual chicken. The drinks were OK. Not somewhere I would revist.
So beautiful❤️So hot place ⚡️Amazing food & service 🫶🏻
If I could give zero, I would. Terrible service. Asked a simple question about ingredients due to special vegan diet and allergies at our table, the staff was condescending in their response. Didn’t even the answer the question.Additionally, would constantly pester us at our table as we’re enjoying our time at the table for drinks. Would force us to order food even though we told my that we have very particular diet.Would recommend to go anywhere but this place if you’re in KTown.
Incredible. Where the Soju flows like wine. The manager (william) is the most hospitable dude in town. the bulgogi tacos are ridiculously good.
Loved the service here and drinks were amazing. Ask Tanya for her secret shot, you won’t regret it.
Dan was an excellent bartender! Great atmosphere, highly recommend.
Meals good, nice ambience, great server.
Spicy pork quesadillas were bangin’
Beautiful place and very fun and friendly stuff. Perfect place to have a drink with friends.
Super chill! Ari the bartender is AMAZING, it’s beautiful. A great later night spot.
Its a hidden gem. The interior is so beautiful and the service was good too.
Diego was a great server. Had a lot of fun with friends. A lovely atmosphere.
Cute aesthetic, tasty drinks and yummy jalapeño poppers. Only downside was no soondubu jjigae and when I drink I want that 😭😂
Really great food. The only thing is that it can be a bit loud.
Good selection of soju. The cauliflower app was very good. Crispy with just the right amount of sauce and flavors.
The food is a bit sweet for my taste. Also, it was very loud during happy hour. It is impossible to have a conversation.
The spot itself is great, the happy hours drinks are very reasonably priced and pretty good in variety, and the service is good too. The reason im giving this 4 stars is because the bartender (i forgot the name) could be a bit more customer-service-oriented. I went with my wife one day after work and my wife ordered 2 drinks-one for her and the other for me-right before happy hour ended. The bartender gave her a wrong drink and my wife, upon realizing, informed her. The bartender stated that she gave her the right drink even though my wife and i order the same thing time after time. My wife ordered a vodka soda and what she received was a gin and tonic. Additionally, the bartender since happy hour was over if she made another one shed have to charge her full price. It wasnt a language barrier, it was simply the bartender not wanting to appear/seem wrong i assume. Either way, we reflected her mistake on her tip so no biggie, but im posting so management can make sure all staff provide great service. People are just starting to go out and settle into normal nightlife so theres a delicate balance to strike.
Great service! Great food! Great drinks! My new to go place after work!!
All I need to say is delicious....
Love this place! Ari was such a great waitress and i would def recommend the popcorn shrimp!
I was there on Tuesday for a night out and had a great time! Great atmosphere, Jun was very attentive and helpful in choosing menus. He went over the list of cocktails and recommended the Maze Fashioned - fabulous choice of the night. Will def come back!
Not totally sure what this place is. Obviously trying to differentiate and stand out in a sea of Korean eateries, Maze says they are Mexican Korean fusion. The food we ordered was ok, but not what I expected. Cheese fries posing as nachos, fried rice with bacon and chicken wings hardly felt Mexican OR Korean! The one thing that did - the bulgogi tacos - never made it to the table. I guess our waiter (who was very nice but who annoyingly didnt write our order down) forgot to put the order in. Instead of waiting, we decided to leave...
Really poor service. 2 hours of sitting at the table for 2 small dishes of pasta for 6 people. Dreadful service, laughable portions, and overpriced dishes sums it up pretty well.
I always go to this place with my friends and have their best mexican cheese fries, hendricks and tonic and lychee martinis!! They have the best customer service, willing to help any time!! Recommend 100 percent!!!!
Our waiter, Diego, was very attentive and helpful! The food was great 😊 will definitely be coming back!
I recently visited Maze Bar and was thoroughly impressed by the service provided by their bartender, Dan. From the moment we walked in, Dan made us feel welcome with his warm and engaging personality. The standout feature of our experience was undoubtedly the drinks. Each cocktail was a masterpiece - perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Dan demonstrated not only skill and professionalism but also a passion for mixology, which was evident in every sip.If youre looking for a place with fantastic drinks and even better service, make sure to ask for Dan at Maze BarRating: 5 stars
Diego and Jaretzy were amazing! The service was incredible and we felt very welcome during our visit here! We would love to come back!!!
Nice scenery and the lychee drink was good.
Good drink selection with chill ambience on upper floor.
Got sat, served our appetizers and entrees, all within 15 minutes on a busy Friday night. Not sure how they did it.
Second time returning here and overall it was great. The service, the food, and the drinks! The server was kind enough to get my drink “fixed” when I had asked for less sweet and they forgot. The only thing to call out was the seafood kimchi pancakes that actually shouldn’t be called that because in ktown if you got pancakes they will be traditional style and not like the pictures below (like fried fritters). I also could barely taste seafood & kimchi in it. Try something else from the menu!
Turned us away with a picture of our ID when we’re clearly over 21 and told the attendant we’re just here for food because we don’t drink.
My friends and I came here last week. There was basically no one and we waited a while and no one came to us. There was a man and a woman and they walked by us and didn’t help us or asked what we wanted to order. They would stare as they walked by. We waited 20+ mins. They were serving two tiny tables except us and we were 6 people. I came all the way from jersey and I was so disappointed. We just left to bbq next door, they saw us walking out and didn’t even stop to ask why. Also we got there at 5 and I never read online that we needed reservations so we just went and they said they needed us to leave early. My friends and I are chefs and we wanted to experience this place but save yourself the trip. Cute place, sad the service sucked. Also, next door, people had went to the bbq as well because apparently this place picks and chooses who to serve.
Good customer service, good drinks, great drinks, food was okay
So good
I found this place on Tiktok and Im glad I went here! I also love the vibe and decor. The food is very good.
I really liked this bar! The vibe was great, the food was also great. Would definitely go back
A classic late night spot, great Korean fusion food and drinks, but nothing crazy
Came here to celebrate my friends birthday and had a blast! The food was good and we all had a great time!
Cute happy hour spot with great deals and great service!
Great food and it has an excellent environment to eat and drink and to have fun on any night out
D is the best bartender in ktown !!! coming back just for him
Excellent hidden bar. Food is on point. Good drink prices. Cool atmosphere.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
Ask for Tania, excellent bartender, delicious drinks
Food and drinks were tasty, and service was great!
Its a pretty long wait but what could I expect its Friday right?Good selection of food and drink and friendly service.
The bulgogi japchae and lychee soju were amazing. Great ambience/vibes.
The service here is terrible. I had the chicken bowl or something of the sort and its basically fettuccine Alfredo in a taco bowl. Terrible. And th seating!? We are in a cage! Cramped. It doesnt add anything to the experience other than annoyance.
