Gorgeous hotel that provides stellar service. The bellman were professional and courteous. Luggage storage was convenient and easily accessible. Loading zone is right out front and easy to access. Parking garage is a 4 minute walk from the hotel: $45 a night for compact/$55 for suv. Metropolis is the garage (most hotels we stayed at use them) and we are always happy with the service. Comped breakfast was tasty with lots of options. The front desk was incredible and made our stay very enjoyable and stress free. Queen room was a bit small compared to what we have had in past nyc trips! Service made up for it. Hotel is very clean. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner are included. Linens were always clean and fresh and the room was very clean. We definitely recommend BUT beware that the rooms are smaller than average. Very good location, next to chambers street subway station and the financial district!

Cute hotel in a great part of town, close to everything but very quiet. We had just got in from a 16 hour flight and they let us check in early which was phenomenal. We enjoyed the fitness center and the complimentary breakfast. We slept very well. Great spot that’s walkable and quiet!

This is our second stay here. First stay was good but they didn’t give us our breakfast vouchers so we missed complimentary breakfast the first morning of our stay. Checked in last night put in on a room on the 2nd floor without warning that loud club music from the restaurant would be heard and vibrate through the room past 11 pm. The only solution they had was to move our room which was inconvenient but we needed quiet so we did it. There is NO COFFEE in the room (even 3 star hotels provide that) and NO Complimentary coffee alternative. Feels a bit like a hostel to crash in and less like a hotel.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Frederick Hotel! The hotel is so beautifully decorated and is located in such a convenient area for exploring New York. It was especially great to have a subway entrance so close for getting back and forth from Penn Station. The room was very comfortable and clean. I also loved the neighboring restaurant Serafina - delicious food and gorgeous rooftop views!

I refrained from leaving a review until I spoke with someone from the property after messaging them privately. I want to start by saying the stay was less than what I expected. Upon arrival I was offered to upgrade my room and to check in early. I declined and decided to walk instead. I came back 2.5 hours later (25 minutes before the check in time) and the womans attitude was completely different as she was short and kind of rude by waiting until 2:59 to go up to my room and place my VIP perk bottle in my room. Petty to say the least. I was not aware she made commission based off upgrades. The hotel itself was beautiful and clean. I was so excited to get a good night sleep when at 5 am I was startled awake by the NYFD pounding on my door and doing a room check. I was so shocked I had no words and the hotel employee apologized for the concern and left the area. I was shocked to smell smoke in the hall way and seeing people pack and leave. I asked someone what was happening and I was told they were informed to evacuate, funny how I was not told that info they just allowed me to stay on the floor. I grew anxious and decided to pack up and prepare to leave when a guest relayed the info that we were allowed to stay. I calmed down a bit and sat on my bed when I heard a pop and all the power went out. It truly was the icing on the cake but being 5 am I sat there and waited until sunrise. I got up to change I went down stairs and alert them and was just told sorry about that . I had to ask them myself what the chaos was almost as if they were brushing me off. The lack of communication was unpleasant and made me feeling like they dont care about the guests who payed good money to be there. Again, I reached out in private and was left unanswered.

I recently stayed at the Frederick and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with all the amenities I could ask for. The bed was comfortable and I had a great nights sleep every night. One thing that really stood out to me was the hotels location. It was so easy to get around the city with the subway station just a few steps away from the hotel. This made exploring NYC a breeze and saved me a lot of time and hassle.Overall, I had a fantastic experience at this hotel and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient and enjoyable stay in NYC.

Family of four (two under 3 yrs old). Frederick was fantastic for staff, service, location, and amenities. Happy we spent our 10-day vacation with them. Across the street from the subway and in a walkable neighbourhood with a nearby playground and essential stores. All the front staff were super friendly. Staying there was the first time we felt that a hotel was more than four walls and a roof, but it was staff that made the difference. You represent NYC well, Frederick! Much love!No view, though, just the inside atrium, but we didnt miss it. It was a great home base to explore NYC.

I recently stayed at a charming boutique hotel in the Tribeca area of NYC and had a nice experience. The hotel was clean, and although the rooms were small, they were designed efficiently to maximize comfort and functionality. The service was very good, with a special mention to Chris at the front desk. He was exceptionally friendly, greeted us with genuine warmth, and was always ready to help. Chris truly made our stay memorable.Additionally, the Serafina Rooftop bar was delightful. It offered a great ambiance and a lovely place to unwind. Overall, this boutique hotel in Tribeca is a fantastic choice for a cozy and pleasant stay in the city.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS! Horrible hotel, hygiene, staffing, and overall customer service. If I could give negative stars, I would. After waking up to 50+ bites all over, my friend went and complained to hotel staff who would not believe her at first until she showed them the bites all over her body. They had a sour attitude the entire time, as if she was lying, and only moved her to a new room after she insisted. The alternative room was dingy, smelled off, and looked overall less clean than the previous. Never staying here again.BTW, its been several days and shes consulted with multiple doctors who have all confirmed that the bites are likely bed bug bites.

A remarkable hotel in an excellent location in TriBeCa. We were a little disappointed with the check-in experience which, after a long flight, was cold and impersonal to say the least and left us feeling a bit deflated.Thankfully the service we received gratefully improved and we were made up overall with our two nights. I stayed at the Frederick for two nights, Thursday night and Friday night. I really enjoyed my experience on Thursday; the hotel is so charming, the staff member that checked me in was incredibly friendly, the room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the free breakfast at the Serafina was awesome. The coffee was particularly good! However, on Friday night my experience was sadly ruined. There was loud music playing from what I can only assume is the hotels bar, and the music didnt stop until 1:30 AM in the morning. I could not get any sleep at all! Because of that, I ended up sleeping in and missing the hotels free breakfast on Saturday morning. It was a tragedy and my experience was really ruined because of the ridiculous loud music. It had lots of bass too, so even when I couldnt hear it I could feel the vibrations throughout the room.I was on the second floor in room 226 which Im guessing is right above the bar. If I were to stay here again I would probably ignore the 2nd floor completely and try to have a room on the upper floors, but because of this experience Id probably look at other hotels before choosing this one again. It was a shame because if I were able to get some sleep this hotel would have been 5 stars without hesitation.

Wow, a lot of the people reviewing here have weird expectations for a New York hotel. First of all, you get what you pay for. The Frederick is a great little boutique hotel option. The rooms are really small, yes, but it’s exactly what you need. You have the option to upgrade to a larger room if that’s a concern. If you want anything larger, shell out the extra $300 a night for a more upscale hotel. Oh that’s not an option? Didn’t think so. The beds are super comfy. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The staff is friendly. And you can’t beat the convenience of having the subway stop just outside the front door. It’s not perfect, but it’s exactly what you need. There are also a lot of great neighborhood amenities. Some of my favorite finds are Takahatchi Bakery and Laughing Man Cafe. The beauty of staying here is staying in a slightly quieter part of town where you feel like you can actually take a deep breath at the end of the day. Great value for the money.

My flight home from a week with family was cancelled, and I was looking for a decent place to work from for a couple days while waiting for my rescheduled flight. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily and quickly I was able to book a room in the middle of the night. Next, the cleanliness and aesthetic of the room and facility as a whole far exceeded my expectations and was on par with some of the nicest hotels Ive stayed at during my travels. Finally and most importantly- the staff here were kind, attentive, and accommodating to all of my needs. They were helpful and responsive to requests in a way that exceeded expectation. The location was convenient for me. Transit nearby; something not usually a problem in nyc. Plenty of food, coffee, and stuff to do nearby or short train ride away. Surely theyll be the first place Ill call when looking for a room in Manhattan.

I went here for a week at the beginning of April, for a business trip. The hotel position is super, directly connected to subway, close to the financial district and the area around is quite calm, good to have a nice rest during the night, without noise from the street. The lobby is small but directly connected to the Serafina restaurant, at the desk you will find always nice staff ready to help you in all your needs. My first reservation was for a standard room, but as soon i recognized the not affordable dimensions, i immediately asked for an room upgrade. The new one was good, very clean, with all the services necessary. The two weak points from my point of view are, few wardrobes and not so much space for clothes, second the noise isolation on the window must be improved. In the hotel there’s also a bar for a evening drink’s, but only during the weekend. The price is in line with other hotels in that area and in consideration to the services provided.I suggest to stay here…is a good hotel

What an absolutely horrible place to stay. Rooms are comically small, literally a college dorm is bigger. Walls are paper thin, so thin I could literally hear my neighbors phone conversation perfectly including the person on the other line. Then you have the fact that the TV doesn’t work, when you call down front desk was totally unapologetic saying it was an issue with the cable company and the whole neighborhood had no TV. Interesting because the TV was broken my whole stay? Is this to mean TriBeCa was without cable for multiple days? Then upon checking out they charged me for minibar when I consumed nothing. Truly 0 star experience, I ended up checking out a night early and eating the cost that’s how bad this place was.

Stayed here during a heat wave and it was unbearable. The AC didn’t work. It took over 24 hours to have someone take a look at it, and even then they weren’t able to resolve the problem. But the most surprising thing was how little the staff seamed to care or were willing to help. AC units break, but usually hotel staff want to resolve the problem, not give you the “what do you want me to do about it?” We never got the unit fixed, never got a “sorry” or option to relocate. There’s got to be a better hotel in the area. Besides the AC, hotel is fine; nothing to write home about it.

Great hotel overall but the cheaper rooms in classic New York style just face the berth of rooms on the opposite wall with 2m of clearance and naught but a dirty guttered roof running between them. if youre on the second floor ask to face the street or to be moved up.management: I suggest you put some green growth outside the inside windows to make it less offensive to open the curtains, and add another lamp, on a rainy day the room is dismal in terms of light.

So expensive for a tiny room that I could not relax in. I expected much more from this hotel. A huge let down. Im sure other rooms were large and comfortable so why have this size room, they know people will complain!!----Edited after first night stay----The next night I managed to upgrade for free using my VIP status, however I had to prove the fact and didnt really feel as though they wanted to do this for me. I would stay here again at the discounted price I got from my timeshare company, through interval international. All in all a good stay. Just a note to say that you should request a room with a window. Also the building is not white as pictured and most of the shots of chairs and a communal breakfast area are old and those spaces do not exist. When we first arrived it was late and the person who worked there was beyond not happy to see us and was grumpy. We were so excited after a LONG journey. We got a room that was like a cave - a window that had a brick wall opposite. Note i never saw any of the windows pictured in the photos (large with an arch on top) in the building not inside or outside so those must be staged shots. The fridge in that first room was very loud and one could not open it. I had to wear earplugs. Also the phone did not work and there was NO ROOM to even put your luggage. We had to request luggage racks and those then blocked a way to walk around the bed. But this is how it is in NYC. - your standard hotel room is just SO tiny. Just like most peoples living space - tiny. The next day we got a room with a window with a view of the street. It still did not look like the ones in the photos. But better with daylight. Still not much space and a loud droning noise at night - so bring earplugs. No fridge this time but still a noise ? But I will say that it was CLEAN, relatively QUIET (for NYC) and because of the nice communal space downstairs (more like a club or bar) and gym, as well as nice lobby and excellent location - subway lines nearby and quiet Tribeca - I would stay again. I appreciated no resort fee and a free good breakfast consisting of an excellent croissant and fresh fruit. The bathrooms are adorable with fabulous old map of Tribeca on the tile! Loved the design and also nice soapstone. You get robes and slippers, a nice touch. One last negative - the bath products may look nice in the photos but they smell of toilet cleaner - the soap falls apart after 2 uses. Bring your own soap shower gel and shampoo. The conditioner was good. Hairdryer high quality! Still I would stay again! It is also a cool place to meet someone for a business meeting. The clientele seemed to consist of ex New Yorkers as far as I can tell. Staff was mixed - some nice some grumpy. Managers were very accommodating and nice. Unfortunately the filter coffee which was free in the morning irritated my bladder so I had to stop drinking it. Bar was closed so we dont know what that is normally like. For NYC this was very good.LATER: I tried staying here again on a recent trip but hte price had risen from $120 per room to about 300 or 400. Definitely stay somewhere else for that price. Even though I avoid midtown I recommend the Hilton Midtown (get 2 double beds) - quiet, large rooms, insanely amazing view and no resort fee. Great huge gym. Go to the cart outside for breakfast sandwhiches that are only $2. The cost was around $175 per night but I used my timeshare discount 2 days before travel. Prices drop. a few days before ! NYC HOTEL HACK: Maybe book a backup marriot and then cancel (free up to 24 hrs beforehand) and switch if you find a bargain a few days before! Check hotwire and priceline and void resort fees!

Me and my husband stayed at the Cosmopolitan Hotel from Nov 13 to 18, in a very tiny room located at the end of the 6th floor. The room was clean and well presented as well as the bathroom, soft color, simple but nice, furniture very well distributed considering the small size of the room, however storage enough, desk, chair and plasma TV. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Maintenance of the areas is good, everything looks neat and clean. Elevator is kind of slow, there is only one, like those old style elevators in NY old building, part of the magic, however little annoying waiting so long for the elevator to arrive, but still okay. Location, location, location is a huge plus for this hotel, close to excellent restaurants, convenience stores like whole foods. We loved the place and for sure if we need to stay there again, we would do it without any doubts. Staff gave us nice welcoming, very friendly, warm people. Really recommend this hotel. Newly renovated hotel made this place look modern and classy. However there were major issues considering the price we payed. ($300/night). First, the wifi is semi-free. If you want to get work done or watch a video then its a $10 additional fee. The signal is horrible for the price we paid as well. Very disappointing. The actual hotel room was large enough for 4 people to sleep reasonable. Room was clean and kept up. Our second issue, is that there is no microwaves or refrigerator. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. I would come back to dine and possibly stay a night or two, to enjoy the hotel experience my friend is enjoying.

This hotel is just fine. It feels safe, there are comfortable beds, and the rooms get cleaned. However, this place calls itself a luxury hotel, and often charges luxury hotel prices ($450/night during my recent stay), so it’s held to a standard higher than ‘just fine.’There’s a large difference in the sizes and configurations of rooms that are advertised as being equivalent when you make a booking. This detracts from the experience, especially if you’re a repeat guest. The hvac vent in my room was very noisy the whole time I was there, even after they serviced it. The mini-fridge included a sign that said that if guests move anything in there to store their own perishables, they’ll be charged $25. This is very tacky, unprofessional, and greedy. The snack tray was spare and seemed to be an afterthought. I often refrain from using these, but when you travel for business, the care put into these (especially in New York and certainly at luxury hotels in the city) can be very humanizing and can put you in a good mood and in a ‘I’m in the city now’ headspace after your very long air travel experience.Ice delivered to the room lacked a top for the container. The doors were often unmanned. This ‘halfway luxury’ experience typifies The Frederick.I may stay here again in the future since the location is good and they sometimes have good deals, but I’ll be shopping around more next time. For the same price I’ve stayed at the NY EDITION and that was definitely a 5-star experience.

IMHO A high end 3star or a low end 4stat hotel, in a very good location.Recently renovated and very clean but the rooms are tiny and nothing special inside. The bathrooms in regular rooms are the smallest I’ve experienced in NYC.The “free” WiFi is super slow, so you will need to upgrade anyway.Staff are polite, but not “warm”.I’m in NYC every Six weeks and I will likely forgot about my stay here within 6 months.

Money was taken from my card by the hotel and I have emailed 3 times explaining the over charged and they have stopped replying.2 days before checking in I had already paid a $410 deposit and on the day of check in they took the full amount and the deposit stil has not been refuned. I then stayed for an extra night and they took a $100 deposit and charged me and extra $100 by mistake. I was told it would be refunded but they still have not refuned this ammount, they charged me $779 dollars for an extra night when the original booking was $460 a night. The aircon in the room had constant issues during the stay.

Super nice hotel modern with a retro twist. Like absolutely love the style and all the copper/gold finishes. The bad&ugly:The bar is closed and has been since COVID last year. There is no valet.Seems the evening is run by one person which seems overwhelming & also risky. If they are called away from the front desk there is no security.1.Anyone can walk from the street into the building and onto any floor. The floors are accessible without a key card.2.My room door opened by a mere push on the door this am, which freaked me out bc I wonder if the key card entry is disabled for both rooms and elevator.

This stylish boutique hotel was exactly what I was looking for! Quite comfortable with a cosmopolitian yet old world charm - even the elevator had a wee creak in it reminding us the history of this building. The concierge was very helpful - especially David and John adding a high-caliber element to their service. I was lucky to get a room on the top floor overlooking the One World Observatory building! Walking distance to all the sites. I highly recommend and hope to stay there again on my next visits. Thank you dear Frederick!

Minuscule, over-priced room. We didn’t have a single drawer and the “closet” held an iron and some Pringles. The only kind or accommodating staff were the doormen. Everyone else acted like you were an imposition. There is no functioning water filter, water fountain, or even a simple jug to fill up bottles. The water in the rooms smells like rancid eggs. You have to request potable water and receive it in the form of lukewarm plastic bottles. The staff informed us only one was allowed per guest. Not a good look for a “hospitality” business. We had to request the front desk to have our bed made in our room. “Late” checkout is only one hour extra, though they will make you wait longer to check in.This is a poorly run Motel 6 with some refurbished hardware and black and white photos on the walls. Avoid at all costs.

The hotel staff even held my luggage during the day until my flight left late in the evening. The only warning I have for you... it is an old hotel so it is not sound proof. One of the worst hotel stays Ive ever had. While the staff was friendly and the room was clean and nice, it was TINY even for NYC standards. Im talking the queen size bed only left about 8 of walking room on either side. The hotel room was basically the bed and the bathroom.Worse, room 213 is directly over a bar. It was nonstop noise until at least 330a with conversation so crisp and clear (because they were right below you) that it felt like I was part of it. Partiers standing directly outside the window just chattin it up. All night. Then, garbage trucks show up at 530a. My wife tolerated it. I left, got another room elsewhere.Hotel refused a refund. Its my wifes money, but had I paid for it, I would have done a chargeback in the lobby, then stood out front on the street warning every body never to come there. If you dont want one ounce of sleep, and want to spend money doing it, then book a room at the Frederick.

The room was small, barely enough room to get around the bed but I guess that’s NYC hotels for you! The furnishings seemed a little tired as did the rug. The location worked but if it wasn’t for that, I would have found a different hotel. Also, we changed plans prior to arrival and they were going to charge for an extra night, even though we changed the reservation. Be careful and review your charges! Took more work than should be necessary to correct this error, even when we had a cancellation code for the one (earlier) night from their reservation system. Will find another place to stay next time I am in NYC.

Hotel in great location close to WTC, just few minutes from Brooklyn bridge or Wall street. Metro station is under the hotel so you can reach uptown within minutes. Very helpful staff, hotel has its own lobby bar and good breakfast (comparing to others, this is above the average). One very negative experience was standard room which should be for 2 person but its absolutely not. There is simply not enough space and very small bed so 2 person couldnt sleep there. For 1 person its ok, but if you are 2, dont order this room as this should be single room only!

I got the bad luck to be infected on a business trip by the Type A influenza virus, and this hotel made my stay a nightmare. Over the night the fever increased and I lost my voice, at 7.30 am I asked the hotel reception to please help me to contact the doctor of my insurance. I would write notes on paper to ask them to call for me and giving them my data (I was very obviously very sick). For whatever reason the man from the reception kept referring to the hotel manager and kept telling me to call myself to the doctor, something that I obviously was unable as if not I would not have asked for help. I ended up with sky rocket fever and crying in the hall asking my neighbour guests for help by giving them my insurance card and phone device and pointing them to the card, phone and number for them to call. They started to ask me yes and no questions which I started to answer with my head. And hey surprise! they actually managed to get the doctor to come, and not only that they took care of me bringing me water, tea and bread during the days I was sick. What kind of hotel is this? they prefer having other guests to be human and help others in need than ensuring all their guests are as fine as they can be?I think the tricky part was the question of, will you pay 600 dollars for the doctor to come? and do you have a credit card to do so? I guess (speculation) the hotel did not want any ownership or responsibility and instead of asking they just left me in pain for hours and hours. I could have died there and they would not have felt any human responsibility as I should have followed the process of calling myself. Of course when my room neighbours asked me if i was willing to pay I said yes with my head (as i could not talk).During the following days I got no service what so ever nor even a glimpse of proactive caring on any basic human needs as breakfast, lunch or dinner, water or changing sheets. Nor even an apology for the bad service. There was a startbucks cafe under the hotel, if they would have just brought me camille tea and bagel for breakfast, lunch and dinner I would have been a grateful guest. When you have a lot of fever you don´t need that much.I was lucky with my room neighbour that she was a trained nurse, if not I don´t know what could have happened.I would encourage everyone not to support hotels that do not train employees to deal with out of the ordinary situations as human beings. Nor supporting hotels that have hotel managers that prefer to endorse the problem to other guests before trying to be part of the solution.Rooms at the street side are very noisy during the day and during the night.

The free internet averages 3mb per second, which is adequate for video conferencing but possibly too slow for video streaming. The paid internet offers much faster speeds but seems expensive at $10 per 24 hours. The staff are very friendly and the hotel offers an intimate vibe that is so lacking in the chain hotels. The location was very ideal to lower Manhattan surrounded by multiple restaurants, a Target, a CVS, Wholefoods, and nail/hair salons. I booked a room here through Priceline for my family, listed as a double. Though there was no indication of this prior to confirming, the email confirmation stated that the room was actually only authorized for 2 adults. (even though Priceline had indicated that kids stay free. I spent 2 weeks and 5 phone calls of about 30 minutes each trying to get a refund, and each time was told that it was pending response from the hotel and that I should hear back in 48 hours. Eventually at my pushing Priceline offered me what they called a full refund but what turned out to be a full refund from Priceline; apparently, this did not include the $82 hotel fee that The Frederick still refused to refund.Summary: they sold me a room, then told me I couldnt stay in it with my daughter (though the Frederick kept offering to book me a separate room for her at considerable expense!), then refused to refund me for it for over 2 weeks. I will update this review if they ever do refund me, so if this is still present, it means that this hotel still owes me $82.Is part of the fault with Priceline? Yes, but they understood this and agreed to refund me. The Frederick feels that it has no responsibility to give up their revenue on a room booked 3 months in advance under incorrect listings, so my only option is to let that policy be a warning to others.Ive been treated badly before and never felt compelled to leave a such a negative review. I was truly shocked by their insistence that the non-refundable rate at which I booked meant that they expected me to pay for a room that my family could not actually stay in.

Also, if you get up early enough you get an awesome complimentary breakfast. Our room was very dark and moody and perfect for rest...or so we thought. Beware room 206, our room was right above the lounge, which they failed to mention or warn us about. We found out due to a private event that was booked for our first night, also not mentioned.I kid you not the music started, STARTED at 11PM on a Thursday, and it was so loud it was like we were in the middle of the dance floor. We called down to the desk 2x and loathed being those people, and 2x we were told, Oh, it will be over in 30 minutes. My friend and I waited with pained hope that the music would stop, but continue it did. Eventually, the horrible DJ died down, and being so fatigued from travel we passed out.Do not accept room 206 if you care to sleep, or at least get in writing that theres no private event or special club night if you do. We had a really nice stay, so let me explain why I’m giving it 4 stars even if yes, I would consider coming back here again in the future. The shower pressure in our room was so extremely weak that I was able to wash my hair only once throughout all my stay. That was extremely annoying as someone else with long or a lot of hair will 100% go through the same issue. The AC/heater unit in the room was out of control as well. It would change on its own during the night, making the room very humid while it was impossible to open the windows (facing another wall so that was not helping with the humidity). I basically got sore throat and congested nose very fast so bear this in mind.Another FYI: (most likely not the hotel’s fault) is that we booked through Expedia so if you are considering too not booking through the hotel website, PLEASE be aware of hidden fees! At the time of booking, the very last screen before the transaction clearly pointed out that ALL FEES were included, and that breakfast was included as well.Only after we received the email confirming the payment there was then a fine print saying an additional $40 PER NIGHT was going to be charged to our credit card. Not optional. And that would have covered the previously “included” breakfast! It’s not a fee you can just decide not to pay as it also covers WiFi cleaning etc so please please, be careful, especially if your stay is long. They will always find a way to scam you.Overall besides the above it was a very pleasant stay but of course it could be improved, especially given the gigantic price you pay to sleep in Manhattan now that AirB&B is not an option anymore.

Location of the hotel is really lovelyThe rooms are ok ... nothing special.. quite basic for the price that you pay.Bathroom was tiny (well decorated though), and only had a rain shower, which meant that it was quite difficult to shower without getting your hair wet.Doormen were super helpful and lovely, however, reception staff a little bit cold.

Great location, friendly staff, and decent rooms at a fair rate. Check out The Frederick for your next stay in Tribeca. They give you vouchers for a continental breakfast at Serafina and offer great local deals if you book through their website. The hotel itself is on top of the 1, 2, 3 line and well located to the Financial District, Brooklyn Bridge, Tribeca, Lower East Side, and West Village and ensures that you have easy access to anything you want to do in the city.

Very very small rooms. Smaller than you imagine. Barely space to walk. All is clean, well maintained and arranged. Personnel is friendly, helpful and respectful. The location is perfect and the restaurant is very good.

If i could give more than 5 stars i would, amazing place. Amazing breakfast, amazing people and amazing rooms.Me and my family stayed here for 10 days, we all had amazing rooms. They aren’t too big, but just right for a couple. I absolutely loved it here, it is worth the price.

Great small hotel in Tribeca. Subway right outside the front door to take you uptown or across to Brooklyn. 5 minute walk to 9/11 memorial.Lots of good food places around the area and great pub opposite serving amazing burgers and a wide beer range.Continental breakfast was great every day.Definitely recommend if your looking for a hotel with character and perfectly located.

I was pleasantly surprised by this boutique hotel. The lobby is small and stylish with friendly front desk staff. There is also a cute hotel bar with a lounge type vibe and great cocktails. The rooms are small but the high ceilings and smart decor compensate for the cozy size. They left a handwritten note with chocolates which created a personalized experience. It’s conveniently located near many train lines (right above 1/2/3 and a block from A/C/E). I will consider this property as a go-to hotel when visiting NYC.

Very friendly staff and nice historic details. However the rooms are impossibly small (even with the king beds), which I realize is common in historic hotels but the cheap design and oversized furniture seem to unnecessarily take up space. For two people with carry on bags, we were extremely cramped and there were no luggage racks or storage options so we had to jump to the bed from the bathroom basically. Also very thin walls and we were woken up by a loud family in the room next door. Breakfast was also very disappointing, cheap cereal and croissants and some yogurt and fruit. Doesn’t make you want to try the restaurant where the breakfast is hosted. No maid service for a two night stay. Location is ok and convenient to subway but the neighborhood felt pretty dead by 10pm. Overall didn’t feel worth the high price tag even as a fan and supporter of historic hotels and historic restoration.

Great location! Super friendly staff. The rooms are the typical NY-sized room (so pretty intimate), but with nice high ceilings. The washrooms were REALLY clean, recently updated and super nice. I would definitely stay here again :)
