“Beautiful, cozy room. Lovely personal touch offering water and baked cookies in the evening! We requested a baby bath for our 4 month old and the concierge sorted us out...”“The room was very comfortable and the staff were all extremely nice and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and the location is perfect!!”“Very tastefully done! All the details that great hotels require:)”
The Bowery Hotel exudes a captivating blend of old-world charm and downtown cool. Its inviting lobby, adorned with fireplaces and vintage furnishings, sets the tone for a stylish and comfortable stay. Rooms, though on the smaller side, are impeccably designed and offer stunning city views. The hotels prime location in the vibrant Lower East Side provides easy access to trendy shops, restaurants, and nightlife. While the price tag reflects its luxurious appeal, The Bowery Hotel offers a truly memorable experience for those seeking a taste of authentic New York City.
I didnt stay at the hotel I just ate at the restaurant on the ground floor. We were there for desserts and they were fantastic sorbets were delicious. And the chocolate covered ice cream with fresh berries was spectacular.
Spent one night here for my friends bachelorette, including a dinner for 16 at Gemma. The customer service planning along the way was super communicative and helpful (especially Mike!)We booked an adjoining suite for 4, unfortunately the AC was not working and the room got up to 78 degrees (for a few girls trying to shower and blow dry their hair, iykyk). The front desk sent an engineer, but he wasnt able to fix it.Then came our guardian angel Dwight who was able to move us to another adjoining room with AC and totally made our night! He also helped move our 16 person dinner res from outside (it was downpouring) to inside at Gemma. Gemma was also delicious, and great service. The front desk guys were also super nice and accommodating with all our asks. I couldnt ask for a better time, and cant recommend this place enough! Thanks so much to the team at Bowery!
I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Evan’s gorgeous spring wedding here and I highly recommend it! The spacious event rooms are not only stunning but also photograph beautifully. I especially loved how the cocktail hour seamlessly flowed between indoor and outdoor spaces, giving guests the best of both worlds. With plenty of room for dancing, the energy on the dance floor was unmatched—it was an absolute joy to capture! ig @konradbrattke
Felix is my favorite bartender, and Mario makes everyone feel welcome in the lobby and lounging areas.
Hands down the best hotel in this area. Their service is impeccable and the rooms with the bathroom that overlooks the city are unbeatable. My wife always complains about the beds in hotels and absolutely loves the beds here. The food, the people, the ambiance is all so seamless it’s really an experience staying here.
I recently attended a Monday Girl Event at the Bowery Hotel in Manhattan, and it was an incredible experience. The location is perfect for events, offering a chic yet inviting atmosphere. The venue’s decor is elegant, making it a sophisticated setting for gatherings. What really stood out to me was the professionalism of the wait staff; they were attentive, courteous, and ensured every detail was handled seamlessly. The high-end service truly enhanced the experience, and I left heavily impressed with both the ambiance and the staff’s expertise. Highly recommend the Bowery Hotel for anyone looking to book a top-notch venue!
We had the absolute BEST stay at the Bowery! The hotel is gorgeous and cozy and just oozes charm. The staff was friendly, the lobby bar has a lovely fireplace, the drinks were delicious, etc. They really thought of everything, including putting copious amounts of outlets in each room. Highly recommend if youre looking for something in this part of the city.
Beautiful place to celebrate a wedding! Stylish and well located.

No complaints about this hotel I hate to review it, as I am hoping to keep it a secret gem!
This hotel is very beautiful, turly one of the kind. It’s expensive but definitely worth it.The staff are friendly and welcoming. The lounge area is classy and lovely, you could coming in to have a drink without staying. And the room, of course, is amazing, with comfortable sheets and bedding. I stayed on the lower floor but still had amazing view. The restaurant at first floor is great too; I have been there many times and have never disappointed.
Lovely hotel. All kinds of charm, clean and quiet rooms. Only regret is not having time to take advantage of their seating / lounge areas on the lobby floor.
Charming and cozy in accommodations and overall atmosphere. The hospitality was stellar--notably kind and helpful staff at every turn. Would return in a heartbeat!
Beautiful hotel in downtown Manhattan that has a unique vintage decor that screams New York. The room was great and had a huge bathroom. The lobby-bar was awesome, great cocktails.
I was nervous for the stay b/c I know NYC hotel rooms can be so small. This place blew me away. The room wasnt massive, but larger than I expected. Space for 2 nightstands, small table w/2 chairs and a desk/dresser. But it was the staff and the details that leave me with such great memories. The front desk staff of Joseph, Calista & Marley were amazing. They were friendly, approachable, fun and incredibly helpful. They answered all of my questions and gave me great recommendations. 10/10 for them! I also loved all of the small details that added so much charm to this hotel. A vintage rug (or seemed like it) in the room, the teddy bear on the bed, the room keys, embroidered duvet, the lamps, the service/clean my room signs - even the mini bar and towel holders were charming! And a self-addressed stamp envelope on the desk for feedback. Every detail was thought of. Even when we called the front desk twice for things we needed they were up within 5 minutes. And there was the most charming bar and lounge room. I love every part of this hotel and would love to come back!
Francis was so helpful during our entire stay! It was a pleasure being greeted by him as well as being able to ask any questions we had!Such polite staff throughout the place!Would definitely recommend!
Attended a business event on the terrace. Great ambiance to mingle and meet.
We had a wonderful time at The Bowery Hotel! The room was excellent and the staff were all very helpful. Looking forward to our next stay!
I recently visited New York City and stayed at The Bowery Hotel. The hotels unique personality and ambiance, which combine classic and modern design elements, produce a warm and welcoming setting that is really one-of-a-kind. The luxurious, private room was tastefully furnished with all the conveniences required for a comfortable stay.
Love staying here - the service, location, and vibe are great. The rooms are decent size for nyc although the bathrooms are smaller than expected for a 5 star hotel (but still perfectly manageable). The 24 hour room service menu is truly a highlight, delicious options all day and night. Hotel staff is extremely kind
The Bowery Hotel looks and feels like a glamorous 100 year hangout where movie stars used to frequent, but we discovered it is only 20 years old!We got a great corner room on the eighth floor which affords an amazing view of the Manhattan night skyline. There was plenty of room and the decor was lovely. What really stands out is the amazing service the hotel staff showed. No matter was too big or too small for the staff to assist us with. The entire staff were friendly, engaged and seemed to really care. We also enjoyed the hotel restaurant where the food was delicious and the service top notch.
Really great event room with just OK hotel rooms. The ambiance of the hotel is dark or cozy, which is a bit odd. ABit musty. The service is good. The rooms are typically NYC small, and the beds need to be updated to the comfort level of bigger hotels. Good experience and the wedding event was beautiful, the food was good .
Best lodging experience we have had in NYC! Its expensive, but just perfect! We spent 2021 Xmas in the hotel, it was a 7 day stay for us!The lobby and the bar have an old wood cabin look and feel! Check in was quick and efficient! Room was big and full of great amenities. The view of the east village amazing! Bed was confortable, we had a table for 2 and the bathroom was clean, modern with a superb shower! Closet space was small, but this is NYC.Room service was impecable, with lots of options and it was quick. Food was delicious. At nights, after our dinner around town, we came to the lobby for drinks and sat by the wood fire, best way to end our night.Location! In the east village, near SOHO, Little Italy, lower east, Washington Square and Union Square. Near amazing bars and restaurants! Lots of nightlife nearby. If you dont mind spending $$$ on a hotel, this is the best option to stay away from crowds and travel more like a local!
Great boutique style hotel to stay at in NYC with a dark rustic but warm feel to it. From the moment you arrive the service is impeccable with the staff greeting you at the door to check you in and escort you to your room. They are also very accommodating to your needs. The bar downstairs is really cool to spend sometime and enjoy a cocktail or two at. Would return here again.
A lavish, beautiful hotel in one of the most adored and trendy parts of Manhattan. This was originally an industrial area, and like a lot of places in and around the village, there is an attempt to maintain that classic, slightly gritty and grounded, atmosphere while infusing it with exuberant luxury and splendor. There are rumors that the hotel is haunted, so consider coming here near Halloween if you take an interest in those kinds of supernatural stories and myths. On a raging, stormy night, with the rain swirling in a torrential, chaotic tempest, the air of the spectral and phantasmal certainly hangs over this place. Looking out the windows at the nocturnal world beyond, cast in lurid lights diffused and distorted by the lashing rains and hissing winds, the hotel itself starts to feel otherworldly. I spent a bit of time in the stairwells climbing up the hotel, and I could still hear the rhythmic pounding of the music and the voices in the ornate, central rooms in and around the lobby, and the experience was quite distinctive. Id recommend coming here if you appreciate the mix of trendy, upscale glamour and somber, industrial trappings that have a slightly, intriguingly eerie atmosphere.
Excellent NYC hotel. I think its a bargain for the level of service and quality of the facilities and amenities. An easy walk to great bars and shops. Close to the train that will get you anywhere you need to go.
I was there for Whiskey Washback and performing with The Rogues, Americas Celtic Band. The space was perfect for the event and we had a fantastic time playing and checking out the amazing vendors! The video is prior to set up, but shows the view from The Bowery Terrace!
As a weekly traveler for business, I am very picky about hotels and this one is now one of my favorites! This unique building that is relatively new construction with and old world feel inside is both beautiful and intriguing. In the heart of a wonderful neighborhood, the rooms are peaceful even with the floor to ceiling windows that reveal the beauty of NYC - if you can get an eastern facing view, the sunrise is worth getting up for! The service is perfect - just enough to make you feel cared for, but not overbearing. The restaurant and special events venues are stunning and the food delicious. As someone who spends almost 100 nights a year in hotels... this one is a gem!
I didnt stay in a room, I was fortunate enough to be a guest of a gathering that went on. The Bowery Hotel has a Beautiful ambiance with rustic accents all around a intimate and cozy feel. The fire place in the lobby superb a plus plus plus. Their is a bar and a restaurant there aswell which too me it seemed as though there were multiple lol. By saying that the hotel seemed bigger than it was. Its not cramped feels like you can find a nice cozy spot and just enjoy your time with someone special or people watch, because New York does have some of the most beautiful people you will see 😏. I enjoyed every moment of the the hotel that I know when I go back I will experience something new. Check it out you will not be disappointed.
There was a toenail clipper on the floor, with toenails all around it when we checked in, the door to the wardrobe was almost completely hanging off, the pull to the shower valve came right off, no fridge, ironing board but no iron. Other than the general disrepair of the place, it was fine. The staff was nice, the AC worked, the bed was comfortable, and it was less expensive than other nearby options.
The bed was SO comfortable I wanted to stay in all morning! Charming sexy little hotel. The staff, especially in the lobby bar are so cool and switched on. I am going to become a regular.
Very cool hotel, my new favorite. It feels like youre stepping into another decade, however the rooms are fresh and modern while keeping with the theme. We had a tiny glitch with our reservation (requested a certain room, wrong check out date) but the staff fixed everything quickly without breaking a sweat or making us feel weird. The suites are fantastic and generously sized especially for New York. Get a room with a tub if you can, its huge. The bar is great but gets busy at night. There are couches reserved only for hotel guests, which was classy. Room service goes all night.Neighborhood is interesting but generally upscale and hip. Lots of places to eat right outside plus a bunch of cool shops. You can walk to stuff or not walk but theres plenty in very close proximity.I loved our stay here, Id definitely come back.
Got drinks at the bar. Nice crowd that wasnt too large for past 10 on a Saturday night. Bartenders quick and responsive. Space was dark and cozy with an old gilded feel. Biggest drawback: expensive drinks even for NY standards. $18+. Also the crowd was fairly dressed up although I dont think thats required.
Just a huge shoutout to Esther, had a few questions regarding my upcoming reservations over the phone and I have to say her politeness and patience with me was much appreciated and exemplary of first class service, customer service. skills were amazing.A Marriott member with over 200 nights a year, I was impressed!
Its elegant, unpretentious, full of quiet mystery. The staff bends backward to make your experience memorable. We had a corner room with windows from floor to ceiling. A soft orange sunset light was dying on the furniture, while the first lights of the city were multiplying on the large tiled mirror. Atmosphere of eternity. After a handful of delicious meatballs at Gemma, we had champagne in the bathtub, contemplating the skyline that never sleeps.
One of the elite names in boutique hotels, The Bowery Hotel will deliver you one of the most authentic experiences one can have in New York. Ideally located in the Bowery, the entire city is accessible right outside their doors. We love the doormen here who are always welcoming and helpful. However, if youre looking for coddling, this hotel is more about clients that know what they want and need little handling by their hotel team. Its a if you know, you know philosophy and we could not love it more for that reason. Speaking of which, if you stay here, youll run across numerous celebrities and models and I dont say that lightly so come prepared to blown away but under no condition should you feel free to bother these patrons. It is understood that we are all in this together and that everyone deserves their own space. Classic New York.
Great hotell in NY. Very nice rooms, clean, new and big for being NY. Great rooftop bar with 360 view over NY. Pretty close to many things. Easy to get in and out. Can really recommend this hotell!
Everything about our stay was great. The staff was very nice and willing to help with any questions we had. It was our anniversary, when we got to our room there was a complimentary bottle of champagne waiting for us. The hotel bar and lobby had a cool, laid back atmosphere. There was a bluetooth speaker in our room too which was a nice thing to have. Allowed us to play music from my phone
Where the cool stars stay! Beautiful hotel with a fireplace in lobby, delicious Italian restaurant, solid cocktails, and home to many special events. Has a generator and has stayed operational when other places haven’t.
The managers and staff were absolutely amazing. No detail was missed and we never had to wait or ask for anything. My wife and I will absolutely be staying here again. Great job guys!! Thanks for having us and taking such professional care of us.
To be clear, I only went to the bar area, no staying in, but it still was great. The interior and ambience were amazingly beautiful and good. The bathrooms were clean and nice. The service was great! The place was packed once we arrived, but we managed to sit and had a nice time. (The pictures were taken super late).
The absolute kindest hotel and front desk staff, an unforgettable trip in this stunning hotel. The most comfortable bed and pillows EVER. Highly recommend this hotel.
My new favorite hotel in NYC! Lovely room with everything I needed -- and more, including blackout shades. Amazing staff -- friendly and capable. Delicious breakfast and brunch. I cant wait to return.
A MUST STAY! I used to stay at the plaza, after my 4 day trip to NYC, this is the ONLY hotel I will ever stay at when visiting for work again! Andre is simply the epitome of customer service! Extremely detail oriented, Kyle was wonderful! From check-in to check-out, including Michael!!!We loved the lobby bar and the room service menu is like eating in a boho chic restaurant late night. We also adored the manager who has been there for 15 years! Don’t stay anywhere else! Loved loved loved!
Management is very rude but staff are nice. My husband and I walked in and asked to sit outside, there were plenty of tables and it was 4:30 on a Sunday. The server said sure and then the manager asked if we were staying at the at the hotel, when we said no, he said oh sorry I can’t let you sit outside. We could have stayed but we definitely won’t and will not in the future.
This is the only place I stay in NY after discovering it a couple trips back. The first time I stayed, I needed a quick alteration to a garment. The staff arranged for the tailor at the Varvatos boutique nearby to accommodate me at the last minute, and the staff made sure it was delivered it to my room when it was finished. The answer is never no. The ambiance is comfortable and cool. The rooms are cozy and elegant, and, because there are not a lot of tall buildings right next door, I have always had a beautiful city view. This last visit I had a deep marble tub and actually decided to take a long bath... Wonderfully restorative after a day running around town. The local soaps and bathroom products are great. The Italian restaurant next door, Gemma, is equally homey, and the food is spot on. Where else can you get a wood fired pizza in your room after a late night?
Great lobby for a respot in the afternoon!
Oh, the Bowery Hotel will always hold a special place in my heart! However, Ive noticed that the quality of the property seems to have gone downhill. Probably a management thing, but overall a great place. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is looking to stay in NYC and get a great downtown experience!
Everything about this hotel is great! The location is perfect, situated right in the middle of the east village/west village/soho and les. You are away from the tourist hustle and bustle and steps away from the best restaurants and shopping in NYC. The decor of the rooms is old world charm with all of the 21st essentials. Id love to hire the decorator to decorate my home! The room was spotless (and Im reallllllly particular about cleanliness) and has hardwood floors (another highlight in a hotel room, because carpets are gross). The staff was super friendly and the hotel took COVID very seriously (masks everywhere and if you sat for a drink/food they checked your vaccine card, another great perk). I couldnt recommend this place enough!
The hotel and rooms have a classic feel. Very nice and clean accommodations. Location is convenient for getting around Manhattan without much travel and its also quiet. There is 24 your room service as well.
Pretentious and obnoxious. I could not believe we were treated so unfairly and were dismissed so disrespectfully. I had a group traveling from overseas, they just wanted a night cap in a nice place and I recommended the Bowery Hotel. Upon arrival we were told no, even though the place was 3/4 empty - just in case a hotel guest wanted to drink - even though it was 11.30. Dont bother. Plenty of other places close by with charm, personality and a welcoming atmosphere.
Its a pretty decent though expensive place to go and have a few quiet cocktails with friends and get warmed up for a night out. Its easy and rarely requires any planning or stress so its great meeting spot. Also a good place to meet people when you dont anyone to think youre poor or living on a budget in NYC, which pretty much means poor here. Gemma is great dinner spot too.
Other than the Standard, this is my favorite hotel in the city. The Bowery itself probably has nicer rooms too without the views. The multifaceted hotel is beautifully done as well. Gemma, the signature restaurant has decent (not amazing) food and an UNREAL atmosphere, especially at night. The ballroom on the second floor is perfectly done as well and very tasteful. I love this hotel and think the area itself is developing beautifully.
Just went for a business meeting over drinks. Cocktails were well made, decor was beautiful and very antique feeling. Service could have been a little more attentive, but not at all terrible.
Feels a little like stepping back into a time when Blondie were still stomping around NY, kicking up a fuss with their music. The vibe is really cool here, chilled out with a great mix of characters frequenting the hotel bar and lobby daily. Youll never tire of people watching, or drinking for that matter (the cocktail menu caters to pretty much any tipple you can think of).The rooms are spacious and clean cut but the decor still ties in with the rest of the hotel rather than being jarring and a bit bland like some other places. Staff are more than happy to help with any questions about the area or, if youre new to the city, give recommendations on fun places off the beaten tourist track to visit.
The lobby bar provides a very classic feel complete with antique style furniture. The staff are friendly though not very attentive. There appears to be a policy which only allows overnight guests to use the area but it isnt totally enforced.
We had our wedding at the Bowery Hotel in 2016, and stayed there then. Weve had dinner in the restaurant, Gemma, several times since. Every time weve gone our experience has been top notch. The food is great and if you are planning an event there, their attention to detail is worth the cost.
Weve come here for the bar downstairs which is beautifully decorated and has a lovely patio to sit out on. The prices are really overdone though. Theres no way a pint of beer should cost $10.
Came here for a wedding. The venue was lovely and the staff was fantastic. The food was decent, standard wedding fare.
Extremely poor service and unpleasant staff!Located on top of or on the edge of an old abandoned CEMETERY within walking distance of the Bowery Mission Homeless Shelter/soup kitchen.Im willing to bet that the stay @ Bowery Mission Homeless Shelter would have better service and ambiance! The Bowery Hotel used to be a Has Station, probably a better use for the location! Were those old underground tanks ever dug up? Did anyone ever check about the possibility of polluted ground?Mega toxic site?Might be great for a Haunted house trip or escape room party location.
Incredible interior design in an old school yet modern renovated space. If you can get a room with the sunken marble tub I heartily (HEARTILY) recommend it.
Service was not good. Not that busy but at times it felt like forever to get a drink.
Very unique hotel with excellent service in a great location. Only issue is at the rooms are small. Also they need an outside area where you can sit and smoke a cigar and have a drink. Gemma, the hotel restaurant is also excellent.
Great spot for old people, losers, and overpriced drinks
I visited the Bowery Hotel for a cider tasting event recently. Very warm, lowly lit, modern vintage decor. Obviously not singlehandedly, but party because of this, I was almost inspired to stay the night and see what the available rooms had to offer.
Went to the Bowery Hotel for the ABT Junior Turnout. The space was very nice for the formal event. Vaulted ceilings, exposed brick, multiple bars, and a great outdoor patio. I would definitely recommend it for any event.
Fantastic. Nice boutique hotel with a great restaurant attached. Service staff are on point and very accommodating. Rooms are spacious and shower is perfection. 2nd time staying here (pictures from the 1st).
Gorgeous hotel! It was a rustic charm while also elegant. It’s a little cramped for a large group, since the upstairs is like a bunch of separated rooms, but for smaller groups it’s very spacious.
If you order room service, please think twice to add chicken to your pasta or any dish. My pasta costed $20 which is very reasonable for a 5 star hotel room service but to add chicken it is $16 extra dollars. Either their chicken lays golden eggs or management is high😂
I had booked a hotel in the Bowery which cost only a few dollars, per night. NYC.....a few dollars.....I know, two phrases which rarely go hand in hand. It was pouring with rain when I exited Penn Station, so I got a taxi, with the money I was saving on my room rate. The driver deposited me in front of a magnificent looking hotel. Two braziers were on full blast, either side of the red carpet as I walked in, to be greeted warmly by the doorman. The lobby was gorgeous, and the resonance and ambiance was like old style New York. I couldnt believe my luck...only a few dollars....When I checked in, the concierge, very patiently, kindly and warmly checked for my reservation, again and again, but couldt find one in my name. I have two nights booked...the White House...I have the confirmation I announced, confidently. Upon hearing these words, the ultra professional concierge, came round from behind the desk and gently guided me to the front door.....Were the Bowery Hotel, sir, that is the White House. he said quietly as he pointed across the street. A blackboard had White House written on it and a cat without a tail sat, relaxed, underneath, beside a small wire door, with a blue light, above it, swinging in the wind. I stayed at the White House, now closed and it was great fun and, indeed, cheaper than a maiden aunt on a budget. I vowed there and then, when I was awash with dollars, in the future, I would return to the Bowery Hotel and actually... stay. I did, during New York fashion week and what a fantastic experience. A bed as big as my dreams and food which tasted as though it had been prepared especially for me. No quirky request was too much for them. I could see where the White House used to be, when I looked through the sparkling windows, of my room as a reminder that, in life, you are never more than a few steps from across the street.
Exceptional. I will never stay anywhere else for as long as I live.
Amazing hip interior design with exposed wood and brick adds to the overall hipster East Village atmosphere. Amazing food served at the ground floor Gemma restaurant. Definitely worth staying to enjoy New York City.
Second time staying here recently from Melbourne - Australia and it certainly didnt disappoint! Exceeded my expectation further than what it already had originally. Excellent hotel in a really great area of NY.
Great modern hotel in an old Bowery building. The lobby is a great spot to have a drink and do some people watching. Adjoining restaurant +Gemma serves up delicious rustic Italian food.
I went to the Bowery Hotel for a cider tasting. Wonderful! The space was beautiful, the staff were kind and attentive, and the vendors and good were lovely. I hope they host this again next year.
Had a company event here on the terrace and it was very nice. The fireplace was a great touch as well as the pool table. The staff was very nice and pretty funny when you talk to them.
My favorite hotel! Love this place. Always try to find an excuse to stay here. Amazing rooms, perfectly placed everything. If youre looking for a place that will handle all your needs. This is it. Highly recommend staying here.
I work for a non-profit college and needed to cancel a non-refundable reservation for a guest that wished to make their own booking. The management listened to my problem and agreed to cancel the reservation, even though they didnt have to. I am truly grateful and will be making future reservations there.
Never disappoints. Perfect location.
We were at the biwery hotel for a private event during Tribeca Film. The bar was quick and the space was beautiful. I loved winding from room to room, each giving a different feeling of energy.
. First of all I must say that the staff is very very kind and helpful ! BUT ......I have read a lot about The Bowery in several magasines and it was described as an iconic place with a lot of atmosphere. To me The Bowery looked (at pictures) a bit like Hotel Costes /Bourg Tibourg in Paris - both hotels that I simply adore. So I was really looking forward to stay with you !The Bowery was such a disappointment ! - sorry to say - The interior is charming and I am aware that the style is old, shabby and faded on purpose - thats what I like in fact - but I do NOT like, that the interior, especially at the patio is dirty, filled with dark spots, the glas roof is broken so that dirty water drops into my drink ! and the floor is wet.(dirty black water). The PLASTIC palms in the bar were dusty and the rest room (women) was a mess and dirty too - the cushions in the sofas were dirty and one of the armchairs was broken - that is NOT what I expect when I check in at a 4/5 stars pricy hotel.I cannot recommend The Bowery and I will not be back.
Impromptu getaway to NYC, weekend before Christmas.Vintage decor, ambient lighting, hits all the right notes in a very impressive way. Customer service was top notch. 5 stars all the way!
Always a great selection of cocktails and food options on the menu. Best service, cleanest rooms and the claw foot bath tub is a bonus.
Really fantastic service, great cozy lounge (try their pancakes and green juice), and fabulous decor in the rooms. Our favorite NYC hotel.
Nice and Clean Hotel to pass a Beautiful Night in New York, the People is Good. The area is great to Go out and have Some Fun in The Bars and Restaurants!!!!
We had a dinner party at Gemma restaurant. Food was exquisite, drinks as well. You have to try the tuna with beans... One of the best entrance ever
We attended a wedding here and it was top notch. Beautiful rooms and great deck area. The food was excellent as well as the service.
Our favorite hotel in NYC. Always impeccable service, charming rooms, and a great lobby to hang out or have meetings in.
Extremely cozy atmosphere and good high end food. Definitely not for someone looking to adhere to a budget but you can have a run in with movie stars while enjoying an incredible night out
Horrible stay! Would not recommend!
Stopped for a drink before heading home. Only visited the bar, staff was friendly and service was quick.
Havent stayed here but a good spot to get a drink. Only annoying thing is that they reserve the downstairs seating for hotel guests..even when there are plenty available.
We had a really lovely stay! Thank you for your accommodations. Room was amazing, service was even better!
Really liked the hotel and location. The pasta was out of this world at the restaurant.
The cutest little coffee shop & ‘hidden’ patio.Great to escape the hustle & bustle of the city and enjoy some quiet time in a relaxing and cite atmosphere.
This is my favorite hotel in New York! The staff are beautifully friendly, and the stylish all school ambience is so photogenic and wonderful. I love everything about this place including the room keys!Bowery Bear is the cutest too! The rooms are just wonderful and cozy with gorgeous views. I pretty much will not stay anywhere, but here when I visit New York City!
5 Star people watching capability. Gemma is a lovely restaurant. Room was beautifully appointed with outstanding location.
Had a brief but wonderful interaction w/ a young lady that worked there, i believe her name was Yari. She was thoughtful.PS- thanks for the espresso =]
I was at The Bowery for a food event. The event space was fun and interesting with a good amount of room. The bartenders and servers were great. Im looking forward to another event there.
Love this place. Great for dinner, drinks or an event. Outdoors option as well.
SCAM...Intentional fraud and deception ...Stay away from this SCAM hotel .Do NOT give them your credit card. ..DO NOT book on line ...They have wrong advertisements about their hotel .location . I have recorded voice conversation their employeee admitting they shouldn’t advertise their location in the city. Ca when you reserve they will NOT refund your money despite their intentional lies and deception .....They state their hotel located in the NY city area. It is NOT . They are located 25 minutes in the train from NY.....
Mainly reviewing the bar and lounge area. This place has a fantastic cozy vibe. Would love to just spend my weekends there and recharge
Have never felt more comfortable in an NYC hotel - rooms were big and service was excellent. Room service is also full access to the restaurant Gemma which was delicious.
Had a wedding gig there. Food was great. Drinks were AMAZING! Good times!
I have stayed here around a half dozen times both for work and pleasure and I always have a wonderful visit. In fact, when my husband and I came to town for Thanksgiving last year we decided to mix it up by staying at a different hotel and while it was lovely we wished we had stayed at the Bowery. There simply is no beating the location! Its walkable to almost all of our favorite NYC restaurants and shops and getting a drink in the lobby bar at the end of a long day is really just the best. Always looking forward to my next stay.
Stopped by and had drinks before dinner. Very old NY tucked away in the village. Nice spot to have a drink and meet up with friends.
Amazing decor. Great service at the bar. Been there a couple times and staff is always friendly and welcoming
Lovely, lively outdoor restaurant. Very nice and enthusiastic employees. The housekeeper was especially courteous and was very nice to talk to.
Amazing atmosphere, good but expensive drinks, often hard to get a table. Great clean hotel. The hallways are very dim.
Lovely hotel! I went to a party here and have no beef. I did not check out the rooms but can tell you I would stay here from the looks of things.
Hotel staff calls the police on guests, for having possession of a legally purchased and registered firearm.
Theyll call the police on their guests for doing nothing but exercising their rights under 2nd Amendment. No privacy while in their rooms.
Attended a wedding and had a fantasytime. Beautiful little hotel - great ballroom with exposed brick and warm ambiance. Great hospitality
Its such a lovely room. It would be really excellent if you could just hang out there if you were not a guest
Great place to display flowers if you are a florist and there happen to be some sort of ceremony.
Beautiful views floor to ceiling city views with an old time feel, the Bowery bear makes it extra cozy and you may run into a few celebs at this trendy spot.
Was 2 years until we stayed here again in NYC - love this place!
A gem of the old ways
Fantastic hotel; the design is superb, and the bar is phenomenal. Rooms are nice, with great views of the Bowery.
Love the design of this hotel. However I did think they could be more generous with their wine pours for the price they charge!
Attended a party in a banquet room. Upscale decor, food was delicious. Staff was very attentive.
Dripping in taste and style.I wish the towels were more squishy and plump but thats my only feedback.
Excellent meeting spot.
Favorite fabulous hotel in downtown NYC. Wonderful place for events as well. Absolutely gorgeous.
Super nice hotel but it was a pity the rooftop and bar were closed due to renovation
Coolest hotel in soho and cozy historic building. Has food, bar, outdoor seating and a fireplace.
Did an event here. Team was excellent. Food service all great.
The Bowery Hotel never disappoints you. The quality of drinks, service and the place itself are just perfect.
The drinks were delicious and they definitely know how to put a bit of a heat into the dishes.
I have not stayed here, but an impressive interior and worth a visit
Nice, authentic place
Gemma is amazing food and good for spotting celebs. The Bowery Terrace is great for events.
I really enjoyed this hotel. Amazing staff and a great location in China Town and close to Little Italy.
I only ate at the restaurant, Gemma. Service and food was excellent. Gabriel our server was very professional, experienced and handsome.
Fantastic hotel and even better service! One of the best in the city without a doubt. Thank you Andres, for making my stay extra special! Cheers
This main entrance is amazing. Its dark and elegant and completely reminds me of a vampires den. GREAT PLACE. MUST SEE.
Im speaking for the bar. The bar restaurant has an amazing vibe. The location is amazing. Gene make a good recommendation on beer.
Great venue with both indoor and outdoor space. Very spacious with ample room to sit.
Great place. Lovely room. Great service. Cool lobby lounge. Recommended
My favorite hotel in NYC. Wonderful service & excellent location. The hotel is so unique & beautiful.
I have been to this hotel multiple times. They have nice and friendly services. Facility is outstanding.
We ate lunch at the restaurant, Gemma, and had a great time. The food was good and the service was top notch.
Beautiful restored hotel. Highly recommended. Even the smells are curated!
Great hotel, lobby is a it dates nd old fashioned but roo. S are nice size and comfy
The bar on the top floor has easily one of the best panaramic views of the skyline great drinks and food and very nice staff
Great experience. Room was amazing, staff was wonderful.
I really enjoy sitting with Selena Gomez on the highest floor here, sipping whiskey neat. But honestly, nowheres high enough.
Great Italian food.Cacio Pepe it’s the best.Excellent service
Amazing staff, wonderful cocktails and beautiful rooms. Highly recommend a visit.
I never stayed here but I walked by frequently and I have observed the quality of the guests.
Great atmosphere fun place to be excellent service hundred percent my recommendation very pleased
This hotels atmosphere was incredible. Very upperclass feeling and made me feel fancy.
Great location - quiet, but lots of interesting places nearby. Hotel is beautiful, staff was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.
Noisy outside but the rooms are fun and different and really really comfy. great spot for fun.
Cool vibe, though note that normally only hotel guests get to hangout for drinks in lobby or in outdoor area.
The room key is cool like a fob. They have friendly staff great rooms !
Not such a great experience. I may never get back to that place. Service is substandard, ravles are dirty and the amount of food dispensed is somewhat not commensurate with the cost.
Attended a wedding there. Unique building and rooms. Excellent service.
I was there having drinks with friends. Great rooftop area with seating and cocktails.
Great stay, loved everything. Elevators should be made more efficient, I took the stairs.
It’s hard to put into words just how wonderful this place is. Simply go there and experience it.
Its so good im not gonna tell you how good So that y’all won’t come and I wont get a table.
Great location and chic interior design with dimly lit ambiance throughout the lobby and hotel restaurant.
Great place to eat people stay on top of your tables keeping it clean
Very cool venue for the Craft Distillers festival! Staff and grounds were top notch!
The catered breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious! Our team was quite happy.
Fantastic Bar. Lovely Rooms. Reasonable Value. Ask for a high floor.
Restaurant serve great brunch outdoor settings perfect food is so yummy
We didnt stay at the hotel, but stopped in for drinks at the hotel bar. Like stepping back in time....very old school, warm and friendly. The service and cocktails were great.
Was here for an event I was photographing and it’s a really tasteful space without feeling overbearing.
Great vibe. Amazing cocktails. Didnt experience much else.
The hotel is a gem. Starting from beautiful interior all over, and ending with helpful accommodating staff who do everything to make guests happy. We booked Queen Deluxe room with a bathroom with a window. I called the hotel to make sure I would have that window before booking. They said all Queen Deluxe rooms have that. Unfortunately when we checked in, we were given a worse room.On the next day they checked us in the right room and made additional arrangements to make our stay as joyful as possible. It’s worth coming over to the lobby, lounge and bar even if you don’t stay in the hotel. Just beautiful.
Great food . Great ambience. A little bit crowded but that was the guest list
Ate breakfast & lunch at Gemma. The restaurant is so beautiful. The food was delicious.
Back area of the bar is great. Part indoors part outdoors, intimate, not obnoxious
Love the old charm, fantastic guest rooms and friendly staff.
Beautiful. Worth taking a moment to walk thru and marvel at the decor and atmosphere.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in terms of customer service. I stayed here last week for three nights and was treated badly in their lounge by the maitre d and a female server. After a long cold day I retrieved my room key from the front desk and asked to sit in the lounge to order a hot tea. I was told to wait at the host stand. Once there, the female server abrasively asked if I was a guest despite me having my room key in hand. She then loudly asked me for my room number instead of simply asking to see my key. She said she would tell the host. After another five minutes a group was now waiting behind me and then another party joined in line behind them. No host. One of the girls behind me walked past me into the restaurant and approached the maitred/host and he sat her party ( which were behind me) at the table I should have had. He then proceeded to ignore me and start helping the second group behind me at which point I said what are you doing? I was first in line why are you seating people that came in behind me? He proceeded to lose his cool, claim he thought I was with the group and angrily say to me dont take it out on me. First of all, I dont appreciate an empty host stand on a busy night and I really dont appreciate the assumption that a single woman couldnt possibly want a table on her own. After sitting at my table for over 20 minutes and watching the second group behind me get their drinks that they ordered 10 minutes after I placed mine I got up and left. You would think after the seating mishap the host would go out of his way to prioritize my tea and try and smooth things over but instead I was ignored while he laughed and chatted with one of the groups behind me. The maitred proceeded to interrupt my conversation with the night manager and deny ever saying what he said. This is unprofessional behavior and I couldnt have felt less welcome or respected as a guest. I talked with the front manager Amanda the next day and she said all the right things and I would left it with her if not for the follow experiences I had the next day where the same server glared at me as I was walking through the lounge around 7pm. I also had the misfortune of encountering Leo the social director who couldnt have been more dismissive and rude about my experience both at the hotel and with his bar. It seems like his role at the Bowery is to keep their celebrity guests happy while also having the front desk suggest his bar to all guests who then are unable to get in and who he himself says isnt affiliated with the hotel. This seems like a real conflict of interest to me.As far as the room it was worn out, mold in the sink seal, my lights were flickering in the bathroom and when I reported it in the morning they were still an issue at 8pm that night and I had to call again for them to be fixed at which point I noticed another light flickering in the bedroom. The hotels environmental concern regarding towel washing /reusing towels doesnt make sense because they give guests Jason Mamoas Hawaiian inspired bottled water that uses water from a combo of east LA, Montana, and Nebraska while the company itself is based in North Carolina. Saratoga springs is an excellent water based in upstate NY and is available for sale in the rooms mini bar. The hotel should just offer smaller bottles gratis during turn down service instead of this celebrity branded company pulling water from western states.Eric the host was very warm but the majority of the front desk seemed a little self involved regarding recommendations and clueless as to areas of the city I had questions about. I will never stay here again or any of the owners other establishments and I urge caution to anyone who wants to be treated decently. One star for Amanda/Eric and one for the location.Sincerely,Deanna
Truly a disappointing experience. We came for drinks around 3pm. We’re not staying in the hotel so we were told that we could only have drinks, which was fine because that’s all we wanted. I ordered a cappuccino and the rest of the group ordered cocktails. I was told cocktails and soft drinks only. The table next to us has 4 coffees but we weren’t allowed any with no explanation. Disappointing.
Such a beautiful place, with a wonderful bar for happy hour cocktails.
Reasonable price. Good location. Expect bed bugs.
Went to the Manhattan Finals by Woodford Reserve. Space was beautiful, well spaced and with a nice fireplace lounge area
Didnt stay over, but the event was professionally managed, high caliber and well curated.
Got stuck here one night after a canceled flight and boy were we impressed. The rooms of ample size surprised us, as did the deep soaking tub in the luxuriously appointed bathroom. We had a great view of Bowery and all of the restaurants and sundries we could ever need only just a block away.
Fancy. Big room. Great view. Interesting crowd.
Great cocktail bar and great cocktails!
I went to this place for an event, Reading Partners there 10 years anniversary of this event it was amazing spectacular 10/10 👍🏼👍🏼❤️
Loved the food. Great atmosphere and decor was wonderful!
You can see many actors and actress! I liked the atmosphere as well.
Best hotel in NYC. Attention to detail is phenomenal, the staff great as is the location.
Very kind and professional staff, room was spectacular with an amazing view
Great rooms. Nice hotel. Great service. Lousy food.
My wife and I usually stay at the mid-tier Marriott or Hilton brand hotels in NYC. Thought we would go a little higher end here at The Bowery and it was worth it! What a great experience! The customer service was amazing! Kudos to Chase :)
True 5 star facility. Staff, room, bar, restaurant I dont believe Ive experienced better.
The Bowery Hotel had all the old city charm of NYCs Lower East Side we could ask for along with the hospitality we always hope for on our vacations. We were fortunate enough to have one of the rooms with a sizable balcony. LOVED. Alexandra D at the front desk made sure we were happy at all times and bell hop Awit was the most spendid human we met on this trip. We will definitely recommend to friends and stay there again.
Great service, good food and drinks, beautiful rooms
Very cool ground floor, you can stop by even if youre not a guest.
