From the UK- out for a Birthday meal 5* across the board. Called in yesterday without a reservation and we were made very welcome- we sat at the bar and we were very happy with that. Amazing friendly staff and excellent atmosphere. The garlic bread starter was to die for- the chianti was amazing too. Every course we had was 5*. Highly recommend

No disrespect but the food is so poor, there is no flavor— very bland, I am repulsed by the portions and lack of flavor. You can have great service and hospitality, but if the food lacks, then the restaurant itself is a poor establishment. I understand you won chopped but maybe the owner should be in the kitchen cooking his own food and serving guests properly executed dishes then worrying about making drinks and pouring wine. Quite honestly it doesn’t add up. You can tell when establishments don’t use quality ingredients. The people working here don’t even look happy to be here. it’s kind of a weird vibe. Won’t be returning. You’re lying if you feel this is a good quality Italian restaurant

Wow this place truly surprised us! We made a last minute dinner reservation here to catch up with some old friends and it did not disappoint. We called the restaurant earlier in the night to see if we could push back our reservation an hour and they were so accommodating even on a busy Saturday night. The drinks were well made and the wine list had great Italian selections. The pasta….to die for! It is so authentic and perfectly al dente like you were in Italy. The ingredients in each dish we got (burrata, cacio e Pepe, carbonara, and chicken Parmesan) tasted so fresh and the portion sizes were perfect. They had great gluten free options as well. We ended up spending over 3 hours here and we were not rushed during our meal at all, which is sometimes super hard to find in NYC. Highly recommend this place, I can’t wait to go back.

Food was good. Service was amazing. In a post-covid world where most people give bare minimum effort, it was extremely refreshing to have experienced the level of hospitality as we did. Service standards and SOPs were textbook perfect, from the greeting, to the smiles, to the timing, to level of attentiveness. Much credit goes to management for the training of the staff, and all credit goes to the team who worked seamlessly in a well orchestrated fashion.

Pasta was fantastic. The mushroom pappardelle was phenomenal and had a nice rich flavor, the meatballs in the spaghetti were delicious and soft, the carbonara was decent (a miss for me).Basket of bread was stale and not worth the price. Didn’t even come with anything, we had to ask for butter or olive oil and they brought out just olive oil.Service was lackluster. The owner was super friendly but only came around to our table twice and with quite a bit of time in between each time. Otherwise, we had to call out for the waiter for anything else.

One of my new favorite Italian spots in all of Manhattan, a real gem of LES! Cozy and romantic, the atmosphere is just what I was looking for in a date night with my husband. My husband had the pappardelle and I had the cacio e Pepe, both were full of flavor and cooked to perfection, seemingly straight from Italy and not an American take on the cuisine (my husband and I made it to Italy twice this year so we have what to compare it to). Finished off with the tiramisu, perfection. It takes a lot for us to return to a place in the city as we live in Williamsburg and, well, Williamsburg isn’t lacking its own great restaurants. But Taverna Di Bacco stole our hearts this evening, so we will definitely be back.

This is my favorite Italian meal in the city. The place just does everything right from the cozy decor, incredible attentive service, crafted drinks and the most DELICIOUS FOOD!! Go for the Chefs tasting menu for a steal of $55! The courses are small, but not skimpy. They are rich, flavorful and cooked to perfection. They change often depending on what meat of veggies the chef has in the kitchen. He will ask if there are any dietary restrictions and he accommodated to my no pork, duck or lamb restrictions so well.We also had our rehearsal dinner here back in Sept 2017 in the back yard. They made some dishes family style, and some plated. Everyone said how amazing that meal was and my family still begs to go back everytime they are in town!

We had a lovely time at this warm and inviting family-owned restaurant. Everyone we met was so kind and hospitable, service was great, ambiance was lovely. Food was good; fresh Italian. Bruchetta was unusual, one half is sweet not savory, vongole was too salty that day, but I might try it again, clams were manila and in the shell; the other 2 pasta dishes we got were much enjoyed (one was cacio e pepe). Wine was nice. Cesar was normal, dressing a little light on flavor, steak tartar was good (Id put it in my top 10 list, and I try that everywhere I go). I would definitely return, there was more to try! I can see how this locale could be a local staple or a nice date restaurant or for a special occasion. If you are looking for a more red sauce, baked or large plate experience, this is probably not going to please you.

I do not come to Lower East side a lot and it was by pure luck that I discovered it. I walked in on a Saturday evening waiting for my next engagement, set at the bar and was welcomed warmly by the owners, chef Maurizio and his lovely wife Andrea. I realized that most of the customers were frequenters and despite it being a busy Saturday evening, Maurizio spotted me as a new comer and welcomed me personally (and checked in throughout the evening) to make sure I was happy with the service and the food (which was amazing!). I had chicken parm served with “Cacio e Pepe” which was such a delice! And finished with lemon panna cotta and espresso. Wine was really good, too. It is not very cheap but you get what you pay for. A fantastic restaurant with great food and a friendly professional staff. For over a decade I have stopped in for a bite to eat, a drink, a business dinner or a family get together, and always had a fun time and awesome food. The owner is totally committed and on site all the time - and runs a tight ship. That is why customers keep coming back...

Warmly greeted by a smiling bartender the moment we walked in. We were able to sit in the back garden area- lovely! Had a wonderful waiter. The food and wine is on point. Three employees in FOH worked as a team- such incredibly wonderful attitudes! The food was cooked with intention and care. Each dish flavorful! I’d definitely recommend this restaurant as one of the all around best in the area.

We ordered the $75 5-course chefs tasting menu, and 1 appetizer. All of the items were very good, but the portions were exceptionally small. There was not even any bread offered at the table as is common with most Italian places. Two dinners, a bottle of wine, and $300 later, we left hungry.

Taverna Di Bacco was nothing short of fantastic. The atmosphere was very soothing and relaxing. Our waiter, Andrea, had a very no-nonsense yet very affable charm that made being served by him comfortable and easy. The food was simply amazing. Drinks were superb, food was superb, staff are superb; really, there was nothing about dining there, especially on Valentines Day, that was off, bad, or otherwise unpleasant. If you love Italian food, and you know you do, then go to Taverna Di Bacco. You wont regret it!

Chef Crescenzo and his wife Andrea are great hosts at their restaurant. Super friendly and accommodating. We were 30 minutes late for our reservation and Andrea was apologizing like it was her fault. She put us at ease and got us a table.I recommend Cacio e Pepe, Paccheri, Melanzane alla Parmigiana and, a dish I cant remember then name (vodka sauce with penne). Desserts are fantastic - cheesecake and lemon panna cotta panna cotta - yum.In my last two trips to NYC, Ive dined here each time. Its that good.(Dont be late for your reservation)

We stopped by this place for a quick drink on our way to a show at Mercury Lounge. We were in the city for our 10th wedding anniversary and already had dinner plans. However, we really enjoyed our drinks and got to meet the owner who is very engaged with all of his customers. The food coming out looked great and they have a nice outdoor area in the back so we decided to come back for lunch the next day and so glad we did. The food was fantastic- authentic Italian dishes - pasta cooked perfectly- and most importantly got to connect with owner’s wife as well. The love and care that both of them put into the restaurant and their dishes really makes this place special. We look forward to going back!

AMAZING RESTAURANT! Maurizio and his wife run a beautiful restaurant. I proposed to my fiancé at a local hotel in NYC and wanted to celebrate at a restaurant with my family. I called Taverna Di Bacco and Maurizio was so personable and welcoming when describing what a large group dining experience at the restaurant would be like. We had a blast and the food was perfect. Maurizio and the staff provided superb service. They served us upwards of 7 plates, from scallops to beef cheek to a variety of desserts. Maurizio came to the table and described every dish as they came out. The price to dine there was more than reasonable for the top notch experience and food they provide. I’m so glad I chose to dine here for my special night. Can’t wait to go back!

The absolute best. The food is simply amazing here. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu. The atmosphere here is great and the staff is fantastic. On a side note, Taverna Di Bacco generously donated meals to local hospitals and to EMS workers during the height of Covid here in NYC. So I say support who took care of the people who were saving lives during this horrible time.

The reservation was later confirmed. On the day of my reservation, we arrived to the restaurant 15 minutes prior to the 1:30 reservation. Received a text a few minutes later saying the restaurant wasn’t going to be open for lunch and that they would be opening at 3pm. Don’t allow reservations if you’re not going to open on time.
