Service isnt great, but they automatically add 20% service charge to the bill. The drinks are really over-priced. Nobody wipes down the tables. Really, all in all, not great. The second star is for the lovely view.
Super friendly staff, and a must visit picture and cocktail spot after or before any Madison Square garden event.
This location is worth it for the view alone. The drinks, music, and sunset are all amazing for this location. This is a real gem for rooftop bars
Great service! The bartenders took my order right away and delivered my drink just as quickly. They even took the time to chat with me in the elevator. The music was fun, the ambiance is dimly lit and private, and the views are spectacular!
The view is incredible but the service is abysmal. The girl with glasses working the bar was prob the worst bartender I’ve seen. She didn’t know anything available, everything in the coolers were pushed to the back with labels turned so you couldn’t see. The kegs were being changed at opening (which was 2pm, the hours are incorrect and it’s called Blu now) so they were still warm. There’s no menu or prices and we got two 16 Oz beers, one 12oz beer and a single gin and tonic and it came to EIGHTY SIX DOLLARS. We don’t even know if tip was included cause it wasn’t itemized. We went cause we were staying at the hotel but they could improve significantly with just 10% effort.
Small hotel bar with a great view
Great little rooftop bar with fabulous views of the city. Great service and cool drinks. Sae the bartender was efficient and attentive. There was a pretty good crowd there for midweek.
I came here becuz it has ”rooftop bar” but it’s closed due to the weather apparently so I gotta stay down here. Drinks good, vibes alright. Service - ok. The worst part is the front desk person at the hotel lobby wouldn’t let me use the restroom altho I am a customer at the bar but not staying in the hotel. Hello? Do you want me to pee in the middle of the lobby??? Don’t think I’ll ever return to the place for staying here.
Simple but nice view - very small - no food (yet)
The bar is located on the last floor of Marriott hotel. And you can use an elevator from the lobby to get there. The view is exceptional, especially in the evening.Coctails are about $10, food is very simple, but you can find something to ease the hunger.I took kind of cones with chicken, which were fine and sweet potato, and it was good.
It was closed 10pm already, we arrived after but nowhere said online it is closing that early. Located on Marriott hotel, they were nice, kind service but we had to find another rooftop, was dispappointing. I will advuse opening time change in here as well.
We were there early for happy hour so managed to get a lounge seat. Drinks were reasonably priced for happy hour (although no cocktails are included in happy hour) Good views looking downtown. Staff were friendly.
Skyline Rooftop Bar & Lounge is a hidden gem for those looking for a relaxing spot with great views. Located on the rooftop of a hotel, it offers stunning views of the city skyline that are truly breathtaking. One of the best things about this spot is that its not usually crowded, making it an ideal spot for a quiet and peaceful stop.
Not sure I can even call this place a bar... They didnt have any limes, no menu, and barely any drink choices. Only redeeming quality was the rooftop view.
Views and space is really nice and stands out. The service could be better but functional. Depends on who you get.
Nice little place to enjoy a drink and a fantastic view
Tried on 3 separate occasions to visit skyline. Sunday-closed. Tuesday- Closes at 11Wednesday, got there at 10:25 to see a couple struggling taking selfies, so as the English gentlemen we are, offered to help. Pleasantries were exchanged and we turned to the bar only to be told that the bar had just shut. At 10:28. The member of staff watched us help the selfie takers and shut the bar before taking our order. I was flabbergasted. She did offer a soft drink if we drank it quickly. We managed a couple of quick pictures and were back on the street by 22:50. Lovely views but otherwise; Not impressed Skyline, not impressed at all.
Beautiful rooftop bar/lounge with incredible views and friendly bar staff.
Awesome views but, not surprisingly, can get overly crowded, overpriced and mediocre service. Also, they have huge outdoor heaters that are tripping hazards. (Saw one lady end up on the floor, and 2 other people almost trip. We were there for one drink.)
Great view but not a lot of room up here. Usually enough space to hang out but sometimes it fills up. Prices are reasonable nyc prices.
This place is no longer available, it goes by blu33 rooftop now, operation by whole new team, there is no food and the happyhour is different.
Always closed
They put on the radio in the background so I was listening to ads for half an hour. Drinks are pricy but good.
How this place has the rating it does is beyond me. Poorly made drinks and absolutely terrible service.
Great views. Prices were what you wpuld expect. Music was running off a cell phone and you kept hearing ads.
View was amazing, drinks were pricy. View is worth it though.
Beautiful
It’s a scam. They gave me the total bill for 300$ (not the itemized one). I asked if I could have the itemized receipt. They said they couldn’t print it because it “was too long”. I got suspicious and they showed me the computer, where they told me how it adds to 300. After I explicitly asked for the pretax number I realized they added 20% tip already. You know, the kind that would have been in small letters on the itemized receipt, that they said they couldn’t give me. I thought I was generous for still wanting to leave 10% actual tip after this obvious move to get me to tip 20% on top of 20%, but they tried to convince that it was NYC law that I had to pay 20%. My credit card statement says 300 so let’s see where this goes…
One of the best places in NYC to enjoy drinks and a beautiful sunset!!
Just went for drinks. Great views of the city from here.
The food is delicious. Nice atmosphere beautiful people.
Small rooftop with cool vibes. Awesome mixed drinks.
Great view. Prices insane $28 for a drink and the tip was included. Dont know whats going on with this tipping included and 20% just for drinks.
The view is great
Appalling service. No menus available, and the online one was apparently updated 2 years ago - so none of the prices/specials apply. They also have no printed menus - so everything was a ‘guess’ to the bartender (regarding what price to charge and what they had available). We ended up leaving without ordering anything because the lady at the bar couldn’t care less.
The view was nice, but was spoilt by the corporate sameness of the hotel, including the plastic plants and even dead bushes.Nobody was clearing the tables when people left; and the staff werent doing much behind the bar either − I couldnt believe how outrageously slow and incompetent they were. The woman saw me, casually started fiddling with some ice, then started fiddling with her phone, then finally wandered over to get me a beer, like isnt that odd, theres a person at the bar, I wonder what theyre doing here? The laminated beer list was incorrect and I couldnt drink out of a glass − only plastic cups. The whole place was so soul-sucking. Someone heard it would be a good idea to have a bar on their roof, then just ran out of motivation.
Fun rooftop with good cheap drinks and a view to downtown Manhattan
The lady who speak by phone was so rude, she didn’t listen and just push the phone
Bartender was great, and the views were amazing
Views are good, but food and drinks are terrible. Dont waste your money, if going for the buffet, because it is awful and not worth the price - Might as well just chuck your money over the the edge building.
Its a smaller rooftop but nice set up, views and vibe!
Food selection is an overpriced buffet from the hotel with cafeteria style food. Drink menu is limited, umbrellas were broken in places and heaters were also broken and not working.
Rude staff and service, not a good selection of wines. Bur a nice view :)
Its ok...$18 drinks. The space is okay, nothing exceptional ...we were there for big dance party. Maybe it looks different when its not event. But there no ambience in the space we were in. No tables, no chairs, nothing.
OK nothing specail
Beers were hot..
Cant beat the view
Amazing experience. ...
Magnificent view.
I cant recommend it!Pro: the viewCons: everything else$18 for a “cocktail” that tastes like it’s mixed with nail polish remover. Inedible. The other guests also grimaced. There are better rooftop bars in NYC.
Very good place, very beautiful view, skyline at the top. Cozy.
Personally..I found the rooftop very impressive..a breathtaking view and the beers no more expensive than elsewhere.
I completely agree with Marcel Müller. However, the bar tender was now so well trained that he charged double the price. It was only after intensive inquiries that we received a second cocktail. Its a shame about the location.
Rooftop with a great view of the city, great view of the attractions like Edge, Madison Square Garde, One World Trade Center etc. The only negative point, the bar tender could use another workout
Nice views
Magnificent view, really pleasant staff. I had a very relaxing time and was amazed. Having a room in this hotel I am not disappointed with the service. I highly recommend
Great roof bar with nice service and good prices
Schedule is not correct.
