Loved our brunch here yesterday, very friendly service.cozy and cute hidden gem serving up brunch and dinner with an elevated food and Tea menuHere were our menu faves:🍳 Post Breakfast🍗 Chicken Biscuits and Sauge Gravy (unbelievable dish)🫖 @bellocq PIC DU MIDI Tea: organic mint, ginger, black current leaf🔥 SEASONAL ICED TEA: hibiscus with lemongrass, cinnamon, and lavender
Stopped by to have Christmas Eve brunch here. It wasn’t that busy but had to sit at the bar cause we didn’t have a reservation which was a bit odd. We ordered the fried chicken biscuit and the huevos rancheros which both were good but very heavy. The drip coffee was delicious and it was free refills.
Tasty food and exceptionally friendly staff. The biscuits and gravy were rich, buttery, and satisfyingly filling. While I wish the sausage had a bit more seasoning, the dish overall was solid. A heads-up—the biscuit portions are massive, so definitely come hungry. The real highlight, though, is the hidden backyard. It feels like a secret garden, giving off vibes of a more spacious city like L.A. Highly recommend this spot for a laid-back brunch with friends!
Kind and attentive service. I came here for a quick happy hour. I’ll be reviewing the appetizers I got : I did not like the quality of the bacon on the bacon wrap brussels sprouts. The mac & cheese had a great base, but I had to add salt and pepper the whole time I ate it. But I would do it again that’s how good it was Once salt was added. I recommend the Mezcal cocktail on their menu.
I went there a couple months ago and the food was amazing, but they gave me a hot cappuccino in a thin glass cup, and it burned my fingers to just pick it up and drink it, the food was delicious but then the semi tall lady who wasn’t even our waitress came up and brought our food said “wow this is all for you?” It felt so awkward and backhanded like me and the girl I was with Felt like it was such a weird thing to say, We aren’t even from the area so we wanted to try everything we could, the attitude was unnecessary and unwelcoming, and left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Should’ve just said “enjoy your food” and let it be
I had a lovely breakfast here with my partner. It was such a cozy and intimate dining experience. The staff were welcoming and pleasant throughout our visit.I really enjoyed the Huevos Rancheros served fresh in addition to an order of biscuits and gravy. Total comfort food!I would love to come back again soon.
Our Host Mike and server Bobby were friendly and gregarious. Bobby again, our server of food stuffs we ordered were great and delicious. I ordered the biscuits&gravy, a wonderful nice tang (buttermilk) to the flavor profile. My friend had the Avocado Biscuit, devoured it! We also shared the 🥞’S, fluffy with a niiice buttery crispness around the edges and top, the syrup had a nice burnt taste to it. THE GOLDEN MILK! Heaven in a glass cup. Iced Cappuccino, 👍🏽👍🏽😋👍🏽👍🏽 This is on my (our) added to places to return to and try the other options and menu items. Thank you POST for a great dining experience, first shot out of the proverbial food cannon 🎉
Have been going here for years. The owner and staff are very sweet. Great local East Village spot for the best biscuits in NY with a nice outdoor space. If you are vegetarian/vegan, the mushroom gravy is amazing but a little heavy. Love their salads and homemade hot sauce. For dinner, the atmosphere is very cozy and they have a nice wine selection, risotto and grilled salmon
Based on a friends recommendation, we visited Post for brunch today and I must say it did not disappoint. It is a charming spot in the East Village. Despite the bustling crowd, we were fortunate enough to snag the last seats at the bar, adding to the cozy and vibrant ambiance of the place.Post has nice menu but what caught my attention was their Biscuit and Gravy with chicken, served in a delectable white gravy.Overall, my experience at Post was delightful, with delicious food, good coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and efficient service. I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.
The White Bean Salad is beyond delicious! The avocado was so perfect on top! The burger hits the bullseye as well! The staff and vibe inside were all warm and cool and easy going while being totally professional! Go!
Love the brunch here, a really unique spin on classic brunch food. The chocolate chip pancakes were fluffy in the middle with crispy edges and was so good! My friends got the chicken biscuit and vegan gravy - biscuits are TOP NOTCH.Also cute atmosphere with a chill outdoor seating!
I’m absolutely obsessed with POST! It is quite the gem. The food is always delicious. The favors are simply magical and unique. The staff is charming and attentive, they really make you feel at home. & Mike (the owner) is beyond beautiful, he gives his all to make sure you have a wonderful experience every single time. I highly recommend you try out everything & anything. You won’t be disappointed! P.S. try their in house hot sauce & biscuits (it’s life changing!) :)
Walked in for an October Sunday noon lunch and was somewhat lucky to have a table right away -- the place was almost at capacity.Which likely explained the long wait for the food: iced coffee came out 9 minutes after I sat down but food took another 27 minutes to arrive. That said, staff was very warm and friendly so I still give 4 ⭐The avocado biscuit was less exciting than I had hoped. Somewhat dry, somewhat lacking flavors. I dont recommend it. 2 ⭐The granola was better, 4 ⭐ so overall 3 ⭐ for food and overall.
GUESS… what I had? 😮 During a recent visit to POST in NYC, I had the pleasure of experiencing one of the most delightful dining experiences Ive had in a long time. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, everything about our visit was outstanding.First and foremost, our waiter “DAN” deserves all the praise in the world. Not only was he extremely attentive, but his friendliness and genuine warmth truly elevated the dining experience. He made us feel welcome from the start and took the time to answer all our questions about the menu with a smile, suggesting some delightful options we wouldnt have tried otherwise. His service was impeccable, and he struck the perfect balance between being attentive without being intrusive. Now, lets talk about the food – it was nothing short of phenomenal. Every dish we ordered was a delightful masterpiece of flavors, textures, and presentation. The menu offered a diverse selection of dishes. Each dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. One dish that stood out was the Vegan 🌱 dishes my group of 5ive ordered as well as our non vegan dishes, which was an explosion of flavors that left our taste buds dancing with delight. The ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully combined, resulting in a truly memorable experience. The portions were generous, satisfying our appetites. Our alcoholic drinks was wonderful, the selection was impressive, and we couldnt resist trying the Post Sunrise w/tequila. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal, and we savored every last bite. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, as it struck the right balance between upscale and cozy. The decor was tasteful, and the atmosphere was relaxed with music, making it an ideal place for a special occasion or a casual dinner with my family.POST Restaurant in NYC was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of a friendly and attentive waiter along with the outstanding food made for a memorable dining adventure. If youre in search of a place that excels in both service and culinary artistry, this restaurant should be at the top of your list. I cannot recommend it enough, and Im already looking forward to my next visit.
Delicious brunch for lazy hungover Sunday, served in a bright atmosphere (if sat nearer the entrance side) with friendly service.Pork biscuit burger was so good and cocktails yummy too!
Came here for brunch on a Thursday, practically empty which was nice - love that the menu specifies what’s vegetarian, vegan and gluten free! food was delicious as well
The best biscuits and gravy I have had in the city. Makes me feel right at home. The matcha latte was delicious as well. I cant wait to come back to try out more of their menu. I am a big fan! This is located in the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Not to mention that the restaurant is beautiful and the staff are really nice.
The biscuits were so good ! We had the vegan avocado and the vegan sausage, egg and cheese biscuits and they were absolutely delicious. The place is usually full for weekend brunch would recommend having a reservation. The patio seating was cozy and cute. Also a good place to go since it caters to vegans and non vegans with more or less the same number of options :)
This is a good place. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was the pork was spicy for me amd the service was not stellar. The flavor of the pork was interesting. The egg and the biscuit was incredible. I would recommend visiting here.
Nice place and very nice waiter. I didnt love the pancakes but maybe its just my personal taste. Ill go back and try dinner next time.Outdoor seating in the backyard.
Egg biscuit was amazing. Biscuit very fluffy, lots of clear layers, top layers had a nice burnt crunch (in a good way, the flavor of that plus the almost undercooked inside was insane) and also ginormous serving that was perfect for someone hungry like I was. The egg and cheese oh my gosh was so good. The chicken sausage was okay, would have liked to order without. The service was not great, pre ordered at 10:30 and wasn’t ready until 10:46 and I had a class, very unprofessional when there was no one else in the restaurant…but the hostess was very nice about it. Overall, I would def order from there again or go sit down for sure. Oh and the side salad that they give you was so good for no reason.
Hidden garden out the back is a lush spot in amongst the city. Perfect brunch vibes with good food to match. Hidden gem
The biscuit was fresh and flaky, the potatoes a bit salty but delicious. I loved the combination of salty and tangy with the roasted tomatoes. I also had the Afhani Chai, which was tasty.
Im from the South and these are by far the BEST BISCUITS Ive ever had!!!!! Fluffy, moist, crispy, everything you want. They also have amazing vegan options (I got the mushroom one and it was to die for!!) A wonderful way to start the new year. Ill definitely be back!!!
Biscuits and gravy were awesome. Small place but really good vibes. Definitely recommend and would come back again for dinner or drinks.
I cant tell you how amazingly delicious the biscuits are! Here in Scotland we call them scones. Post biscuits are ginormous and have a lovely light texture and dreamy creamy flavour. The chicken sausage and gravy are so tasty and hearty. I didnt eat for hours after this! We ate brunch here 3 times when we were visiting NYC for 2 weeks! Really cool and fresh vibe in the restaurant, lovely staff and amazing food! 💯😁🔥
Incredible breakfast! A hidden gem in NYC. Got the chicken sausage biscuit and it was delicious! Iced latte was great too. All in all this was a great spot, will absolutely be back!
Every time I visit New York, I visit POST. The light, cozy atmosphere is calming and clean. The owners are darling people, and the food is outstanding. I alwaysget the avocado biscuit, because I crave it when Im gone! Come! Eat here!
This place was ok. Matcha was good. Biscuit was not soft and moist. Atmosphere was too loud. Wouldn’t go back.
Small, cozy, tasty, quick - cant complain! The wait isnt bad given the turnover, though that also means you shouldnt expect a leisurely meal.We got the biscuits and gravy and a sausage biscuit sandwich, and both were delicious.
DO NOT MISS COMING HERE FOR BRUNCH!!! The food is absolutely BOMB! The fried chicken biscuit is an absolute must eat and so are the pancakes! The chicken biscuit was huge and so yummy I came back and had to try another variation (choose the fried chicken biscuit over the bacon biscuit). The pancakes are crisp on the outside and mega fluffy on the inside! The huevos racheros are a fan favorite. Great coffee, really great tea, and the mimosas were nice as well. Definitely come here if you even have a thought about it! Both times I made a reservation beforehand as a heads up :-)
The most whimsical matcha I’ve ever tastedstaff is so kindfood is yummy
Post is quickly becoming one of my favorite gems in the city. I’ve come for both dinner and brunch and have always been served right away by friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant but still feels charming and homey. I’ve had their salads and sweet potato fries; their fries are extremely delicious! Not oily, perfectly cooked, seasoned, and fresh…it’s hard to find sweet potato fries so well done. Their biscuits are fantastic too and one of my favorite items on their menu. The price point is very decent for the portion sizes. I will be back again and again!
Love it. Especially the backyard section. I will come back for the brunch. The service is spectacular
I have spent years living and working in the South, and Post honestly has the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. Try the hot cakes. They are amazing by themselves with syrup or toppings. Prices are fantastic. The ambiance is very charming, homey, and comfortable. Service is fast and friendly. I highly recommend dipping into Post for quick bite or a long coffee sipping date.
Very good food, nice location and garden very cute and sunny !Very friendly waitress, even though we waited a bite long for the food
Let me just say this review is about the service and character of the owner or manager that was there.we came here for brunch. We ordered quite a bit of food and my total came to about $150 for breakfast. I decided to leave my tip in cash and so I didn’t leave a tip on the card. As soon as I gave the waitress my card, she went to go transact my bill. The manager/owner or whoever he was immediately came up to my table and asked why I did not leave a tip. He harassed me and my whole group of friends about a tip that we were going to initially leave in cash. I just don’t understand what type of people are running this business and to have the audacity to question me about a tip I leave. On top of that, the service was extremely slow. We were sat down and the ladies that sat down Our table received their service first as well as their drinks first. My group and I were sitting there for at least 30 minutes Without anyone coming to greet us or ask us if we want anything to drink. my waitress came up maybe once or twice while we were dining to check on us otherwise we had to waive her down. That experience alone is a reason I will never be going back Because you can get better food and better service somewhere else. I hope readers do not support this business based off my experience because that was Completely unacceptable
Amazing service, amazing vibes, amazing food, amazing drinks. There’s literally nothing wrong with this place so if you’re debating it - just go.
We had the pancakes which were disappointing, very thick and not very tasty to us. However the salty dishes looked better
This place is too great to gatekeep! So cozy, great prices and service. Beautiful interior and lovely garden.
Hotter than hell inside. 85 degree with no ac. I get that they have the windows open, but it was so hot that eating a warm biscuit was unpleasant. Food was yummy, but not memorable.
Food was good, but our waiter was awful. I went here with friends for brunch. The whole time he served us he made it feel like we were inconveniencing him. Also, our food took almost an hour to come out and when we asked how long it would take to come out, he replied “You guys literally just ordered 10 min ago so it will take another 10 min.” He was very condescending about it when we were simply just asking how much longer it would take. We waited for almost an HOUR.Disappointed because the other wait staff was nice, but we got stuck with him.
Went here to try their pancakes which sort of look like the ones at Chez but sadly they tasted nothing like them. The edges were crispy though which was nice. We tried a biscuit sandwich - the fried chicken one. They don’t play around with the size of the biscuits - they’re huge. They had a sign for happy hour which went late into the night. If we lived in the area, this would make for a chill neighborhood spot for a discounted drink.
The food was good. However, the wait time, especially for a party of 2, bordered on absurdity. We had a reservation at 12:45 on a weekend. When we got there, the table was not prepared. It took about 10 minutes to get seated and then another 20 to get water, and over the course of about an hour the water was never refilled. The initial drink order was messed up. After waiting for over an hour, we finally got food. No one mentioned the wait time or provided any explanation or apology. Including receiving the bill, we had about 4 brief interactions with the waiter from the very beginning to the end. We essentially had someone ask what we wanted to eat and put food on a table, there wasn’t service. It’s a shame because the food was very good, but all things considered I will not be eating at post again.
The Customer Service is Amazing Haliey makes the best Death On The Beach Cocktails. The food is fresh the bathrooms are clean not only do they have a outside but they have a inside. Great spot to meet up with some friends over a candle light Brunch or Date Night.
Great local place with great food
The Sunday morning chicken biscuit actually brought me back to life. The biscuit itself was perfect. The chicken fried to perfection. The egg perfectly yolky. The side greens were beautiful decor that I had no space for.I came back to visit nyc from the south and imagine my surprise when this was the best biscuit I’d had in months. Also the wait staff was charming and hilarious and attentive and awesome.Come here, you won’t regret it. No surprise that several people came to check on wait times and were back an hour later. It’s worth it!
Excellent biscuits and both meat eater + vegan options. Back patio is sunny and large so def go when warm out
Love this place! PLEASE bring back the pulled pork brunch biscuit though! It may be the best in town.
Cosy space for quick breakfast, I like to go on weekdays is slower than weekends. They have an outside sitting perfect for the weather. Everything try a new plate, I can said I have a favor so far I enjoyed all of them. Pancakes are fluffy with a light crunchy just how I like it 👌. They biscuits are so good ( I didnt like it before), I even tried the vegan Sausage and it was delicious. Coming back to tried other platters.
Delicious buttery biscuits and I was so excited with the vegan options! My gals and I had the post breakfast, French toast, vegan SEC biscuit, fries, and chais. Very crowded / slow service on weekends (the server told us there was only one 1 chef for 30+ diners!) so maybe don’t come starving and hungover like I did. Afghani chai was yummy — although they make it w concentrate and used too much in my drink so I had to get milk to dilute it.
Very nice cozy place in the east village. Large meal portions that you can share. Pancakes are amazing! Bon Merde sauce is great as well. Cortado and cappuccino seemed to be same size, ask for a mug if you want a bigger size.
Lovely and relaxed lunch spot. Biscuits were delightful I had bacon biscuit and friend had avocado biscuit both were delish. Service was prompt and pleasant. Would go back.
I was looking to order from here & called to place my order. I asked the person who picked up (owner i presume) what was good/popular to order & he screamed at me that “he makes the sandwiches so anything” in a condescending and rude tone. As the owner of a business, you should encourage recommendations especially with new customers. I’m sure the food is good but I’ll never know because of their attitude!
We have a reserve at 13:15… it took them 20 minutes until somebody came to say hello and brought us to table… other 30 minutes to get our food served… “fried” eggs without any yolk. No bread to go with… I wouldn’t recommend it.
This restaurant is quite busy, so be prepared to wait. We had a reservation and were seated on time, but it took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The atmosphere is charming, rustic outdoor seating area, with a laidback vibe.I ordered the Post breakfast with a homemade biscuit on the side. It was tasty, but nothing particularly extraordinary. My fiancé ordered the Huevos Rancheros with a cold coffee. The coffee was quite disappointing, Id rate it a 5/10. The service was good, and the server made me a delightful pink soda drink.
Food was delicious. Pork sliders, riast chicken, mushroom risotto, frisee salad (with persimmon!) all excellent. Roasted vegetables side wonderful. Atmosphere is nice (although the bench could use cushions). Service is good.
Amazing food and great service. Go for the pulled pork biscuit sandwich!
I had the buscuits and gravy here, which were great. The flavor of the gravy had a good level of pepper with the chicken sausage cut up within the gravy. There was ample amount of gravy with the biscuit, the biscuit being a good mixture of fluffiness on the inside and crispy on the outside. The wait staff was extremely personable, at one point joking with us about the sun angle that was going to hit our table soon. The bathroom was spacious but has a very small sink that will spill water on to your feet if your feet are too close to it.
Had an early dinner so i opted for the small dishes. Recommended the Pulled Pork on Home Baked Biscuits. Had all the available cocktails (no, i wasnt drunk). Overall good. Here and there needing small improvements. The bar area has a genuine Cuban Turn Of Millennium vibes and style. Also cuban music and some nostalgia tracks for Sibarites. A plus? Ok: sexy guy who seems be the owner too.
Excellent brunch. I had the garden grits which unfortunately were cold, but tasty. I really think if they heated the plates and used a smaller deeper dish it wouldnt be a problem at all. My server did check in with me, but I didnt say anything about it because I hate making a big deal of things, so that was my fault. Really fresh ingredients and very nice and funny staff. Will be back for sure. Looking forward to trying their dinner menu. Thank you!
The biscuits were really nice! The fired chicken was not the best but the rest of the menu items we tired were great!
Food here is always amazing. Especially the biscuits with chicken gravy. Also had the spinach salad with salmon... Super fresh and cooked to perfection. Server was lovely too.... Manning all the tables by herself. She did a great job juggling everyone.
0 stars. They served undercooked chicken and didn’t have basic condiments. Had to take it to go to re-cook it myself and use condiments from home. For the price, an absolute scam.
Waited 50 minutes for a table and 40 minutes for food. Devoured within 15 minutes cuz it’s that good. 🫡
A nice brunch spot with a touch of class. I enjoy POST every visit. Good service, delicious food, and modestly priced cocktails. Biscuits and gravy are sooo good.
This is the best biscuit on earth! This perfect hidden gem in EV. It has a gorgeous crowd for good people watching & delicious brunch, Amazing Signature cocktails and you will most likely be taken care of by one of the owners. They are two hard working brothers with a strong passion for food and atmosphere!
I’ve come here many times with my partner. It’s our neighborhood go to for a midday lunch or brunch. Service is always great, vibe and music is chill and upbeat and the food is top notch: get the post breakfast or sausage and chicken sandwich. White bean salad is a favorite of mine. Iced matcha is also a fav.
Some of the most unique & delicious food in a quaint, serene, lovely setting.. amazing are the biscuits, the nachos, the salmon, breakfast, midday, dinner... the kind of food you think about, crave,go back for more. Michael and Bobbie are blessed w knowing how to welcome, serve and laugh with All customers. Fantastic!
Good fresh food, nice ambiance, very nice staff
Amazing brunch, amazing coffee, and amazing staff! I come here almost every week.
The best place to get lunch in the east village!
The biscuits and Gravy are a must. Im not kidding its the BEST white breakfast gravy Ive ever had. Like FIRE your grandma good. The bloody Mary was just as good.
Sausage gravy is ridiculous. You know what Im saying. Most of the time its like liquid paper with chunks of maybe meat loitering around. Serving the real deal here and its delicious.Biscuits seem very fresh and hold together while maintaining flakiness. We had a burger here too, also great. Side salads are lightly dressed with a nutty-like coating.Drink selection is a little light, but this place is tiny. I imagine it more of a place for shmoozing over boozing. Welcome addition to the neighborhood!
When the weather is good, the patio delivers
Best breakfast in ManhattanBest steak at its price point in New York
Love this place. Great atmosphere and good food!
Good menu with options for varied diets. Patio is sunny and the wait staff is accommodating. Fresh tasting, flavorful, and hearty potions. Sweet potato fries, biscuit dishes, and teas all worth ordering. Casual but cool vibe good for brunch with friends.
Mid food, service, vibe. Food took 40 min and the biscuits and gravy was just meh. Good hot sauce though. Would not come back.
I love this place. Delicious drinks and salads, fresh biscuits, and gluten free options for my girlfriend. All of this and it’s somehow cheaper then a lot of nearby breakfast places of worse quality. Strongly recommend!
Visited for breakfast and the waitress and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent, had the post breakfast and the bacon biscuit. The biscuits are amazing and the potatoes and eggs were quite tasty. The food and staff were on the money and I will be back again to finish the menu. The biscuit and gravy with chicken sausage was also tasty. A must to to go back here once again.
Delicious!! And very nice service
Came for breakfast! I had the post breakfast (2 eggs scrambled or fried, mixed greens, avocado, tomato and a small portion of fried potatoes; $11). I also had an almond milk matcha which they make with ginger ($4) and it’s probably the best matcha I’ve tried. My friend has the mushroom biscuit breakfast sandwich ($12) and raved about it. A side of sausage was ($4). Total for 2 with tax and tip $40.The only thing I would change is to remove one table from the seating area- they are ridiculously close together. We sat at the bar as it looked uncomfortable to try and “jenga” yourself into that area.
Friendly service. Delicious food well prepared and reasonably priced.
The biscuits and gravy are amazing. Highly recommend having it with their hot sauce. Their seating is kind of limited and tight so would recommend going with smaller parties.
Best pancakes Ive ever had, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Gets really busy really fast, though.
Excellent vegan breakfast and brunch options
I havent been back since before covid but this place truly has the BEST biscuits. Im psyched to see they take reservations now because I always had to rely on luck to get a table!
Came on a busy holiday and there was only 1 waiter for the whole restaurant. Our food was understandably late but we did wait over 1 hour after being seated. Fortunately everything was delicious. I recommend the bacon biscuit, double stack pancakes with blueberry and the iced chai. I’d absolutely return on a quieter day. Was glad I made a reservation in advance.
I’ve been coming here for years, before they relocated and it is always incredible food and wait staff. Sometimes the wait is longer during the weekends but totally worth it. And the bloody mary is the best in the EV. Nom nom nom
Horrible service, and they tipped themselves without asking. Avoid this place.
Nice brunch - pancakes well cooked and fluffy. They had a nice crisp to them and we enjoyed the salt. The fried chicken biscuit sandwich was nice, and the biscuit itself wasnt too heavy but a dipping sauce would have make it softer and a little more flavoursome. A nice experience.
❤️ Post. The owners are lovely. Food delicious. Etta James, Madeline Peyroux, Edith Piaf 💕... softly playing in the background. Drinks spot on. Classy. Intimate.UPDATE: new location on E3rd is soooo lovely. Popped in for Brunch - delic!!!! Cant wait for HH/dinner/supper come September! Post hasnt missed a beat, improving on their foundation above + comfy dining, bigger space. So bright and airy. Food is still delicious. Staff top-notch. Everything has a touch of love and care. Weve moved from downtown and miss the locals, the neighborhood. Post is a perfect reflection of the people, the vibe.
Amazing vegan options, the vegan mushroom biscuits and gravy with vegan eggs are amazing. Everything else was on point too, like the turmeric golden tea and Afghani Chai. Highly recommend. Coming back for sure.
Great for breakfast. Delicious food, you cant go wrong with any option. Good service. Small space, but cozy. Very, very enjoyable. Definitely worth stopping by.
Best biscuits in the hood! Plus great owners!
Best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. Doesn’t look too appetizing since I got delivery, but it was delicious. Orange juice was also one of the best I’ve had with just the right amount of pulp and sweetness. Will definitely go try it in the restaurant.
The biscuits are so warm and the gravy has the perfect spread of sausage.
Best dinner I’ve had in a long time. The food was spectacular. I typically don’t write reviews, but this place was special.
Place is a tad bit small but cozy. The biscuit was good but I got pretty standard ingredients (i.e.., bacon, avocado, etc) so it was overall an okay dish to me.
One of my favorite breakfast spots in the East Village. Biscuits are perfectly made and service is superb. I always bring friends here when they are in town.
Beautiful space, lovely ambiance, great drinks, and food that is both delicious and prepared with love (very accommodating of vegetarian /vegan diners but the meat’s banging too!). They don’t mention it but ingredients are organic, and meat is farm raised.
Went here for dinner on the patio and everything was perfect. Great vibes and space. Really really really delicious food. Highly recommend
Great food, great service, great ambiance. The biscuits are substantial and well crafted. Coffee is very good as well. We’ll be back.
Post is outstanding! Wonderful food and drinks! A LES gem!
Homemade hot sauce. Hand made biscuits. Strong coffee. What’s not to like. When friends and visitors need a recommendation for breakfast I send them here.
A small menu but very well executed. The avocado biscuit is quite good.
Everything is delicious!
The biscuit sandwich was out of this world! Fresh and quality ingredients
Delicious food!!! Loved the ambiance, hidden gem highly recommend for dinner!!
Just fantastic! Great coffee & tea and food is just delicious. Plus they play great music.
The pork biscuit is really, really good. Did I mention really good? Probably the best biscuit Ive ever had, and the pork was delicious, tangy, and not too fatty. I added avocado because, why not. Coffee is also great, and the outdoor dining is a nice setup.
Tiny place serving major flavors. Their biscuits are to die for and even better with gravy.
Excellent restaurant
Unpopular opinion but I HATED the biscuits and gravy. I’d go here again and order something else and maybe change my review, but for now I’m just going to say I hated it and couldn’t finish it.
Small, busy, but great for breakfast/brunch. Show up early as the seating is limited. Mimosas are strong but delicious
The backyard garden is clean and ambient! Simple tasty brunch, with great coffee from Irving Farm
Cute brunch place
Amazing food, great atmosphere, owners and staff were so friendly. Made us feel so welcome. Definitely recommend
I got a delicious (and strong) Bloody Mary and also got to enjoy a large, tasty portion of sausage biscuits and gravy. Gave me the meat sweats. Highly recommend this spot for a not too crowded brunch spot!
Everything about POST was a surprise and delight. Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. I can’t wait to return!!
Food took forever to come. Entire lunch was 2.5 hours because we waited 1.5 hours for food to arrive. Not worth it
Great place, owner is super sweet. Everyone in the neighborhood knows him. Really good local breakfast spot for tasty meals and good coffee
Biscuit and gravy 😍 delicious drip coffee in glass mugs.
This intimate space has friendly service, great drinks, and terrific food. Order the pork BBQ biscuits!
Food was incredible and the service impeccable. Overall a brilliant, tasty brunch.
Fat pancakes for a fat hearted girl
Just went for a drink and the goat cheese app. Food was delicious and service was fantastic. Also, very realistic prices. Definitely will be returning
Good, not great, food. Wonderful service, Very loud. A bit like a good diner.
The brunch keeps us coming back, sometimes I dream about the biscuits & gravy.
Quaint neighborhood eatery. Biscuits are the bomb. Wait can be tough.
Biscuits and gravely are the stars here with many variations. Vegan options are bountiful and delicious!
Best breakfast place in the city. The food is delicious, the place is beautiful and relaxed and the people are exceptionally friendly.
We sat back in the garden which was lovely on such a beautiful day. Ordered-Avocado biscuit was very yummy (the biscuit is delicious), Post breakfast (you have to try the hot sauces!), and the pancakes (AMAZING!)
Food was good, but wished they had more healthy options other than biscuits
The food here is always delicious . The customer service is always amazing. The place to be ! Breakfast is my favorite.
Great place with clean and modern interior. Food is amazing and creative — Biscuits in particular are to die for.
My Favourite spot in the east village. Amazing food and amazing people. Its intimate and open at the same time! Never change!
Best breakfast, brunch, drinks in the East Village, and maybe best breakfast in the city!!! Localy owned and a must try if you’re in the EV!
The biscuit sandwiches in the brunch menu are to die for. Cute place. Nice service.
MID
Biscuits sausage was very good, also the white bean salad.
The best brunch in the East Village. Good luck deciding between the biscuits and gravy and the pancakes.
Some of the best biscuits Ive had. Great place to start a chill Saturday.
Fantastic brunch with biscuits. The staff is super nice. Great place !
Great service, delicious food, cozy and cool ambiance.
Great, cozy breakfast and cafe. Biscuits are the best Ive ever had.
Had a Saturday 1:30pm reservation for the outdoor garden area. Thank goodness, because the restaurant is tiny and narrow, with a line of people checking in with the host queued directly against seated tables. Uncomfortably tight and extremely loud inside. The outdoor area was much better, more space between tables and less noisy.Food: lackluster. White bean salad is exactly as described, a large plate of arugula with some shaved fennel and half an under-ripe avocado. The marinated beans and dressing was good, but it was too plain overall, like it was missing something. The granola had too much cinnamon. I had high hopes for the pancakes. They are thick and airy, not too dense, with a strong crisp on the tops. Nice texture, but bland. It was almost bread-like and needed a ton of syrup. The waiter was nice (friendly attitude), but service was really slow and poorly done. Took forever for us to get menus and water. Salad and granola came out first, but they forgot to give us utensils. Pancakes took almost an hour. Tables all around us were waiting a long time for their food. We were never given knives, so we had to cut the pancakes with the edge of our forks. Prices are high, and cant be justified by the food or level of service. Staff and kitchen were clearly stressed by the amount of diners. They really need to scale back table bookings if they cant effectively service that many. Avoid weekend brunch here like the plague.
The food was delicious here! A large serving size. Definitely would recommend to those who also are looking for vegan/vegetarian options in the area.
Solid. Get the biscuits & gravy (with hot sauce) Trust me
Food was excellent and the restaurant was quiet and conversation was easy. Excellent evening
Amazing food. If you want real biscuits and gravy this is the place
Great spot to take a date or loved one. Also a great for both non vegan or vegan options.
Extremely long inaccurate wait. Worst service of my life. I have never had a worse experience at a restaurant.
Great place great food. Horrible chairs lol. I felt as if I was attending a parent teacher meeting and I was seated in a first graders chair. So low to the ground. But Id eat here again and again. All of the appetizers were fabulous I had a burger which was cooked exactly how I ordered med rare. Which surprisingly a lot of places get wrong and Im eating raw meat or over cooked meat. This was delicious!
Quaint spot for a quick meal. Fresh and yummy food, friendly staff who accommodated all of our veg and non-veg requests. Ambient noise a little loud for our old ears, but otherwise, enjoyed the experience. We ordered 3 versions of the biscuit sandwiches and one Post Breakfast. Coffee was great! Prices are a little steep for food in general right now, so expect to spend $20-30pp.
Best bloodys, best breakfast, BEST biscuits I’ve had in a long time. Maybe ever. Service was so amazingly welcoming too. Can’t recommend enough ⚡️
The food was so so good, will be back regularly!
Cool local shop in our beloved CommUnity. #LESsba #EVIMA #SupportLocalBiz #CommUnity
Went here a few weeks ago. Used to be one of my favorite brunch spots in the East Village. While there is absolutely no argument against the food, it is still delicious, I have a few other things to bring up. I understand it was busy but with the limited kitchen size and the extended back patio it simply takes a VERY long time to get your food. We waited almost an hour to get one sausage egg and cheese and a plate of pancakes. Also the prices are getting tough to justify for what you get. It is $16 for pancakes and $18 for a sausage egg and cheese, as well as $5 each for cold brew in about the smallest glass imaginable (also filled with ice further limiting the actual FL OZ of coffee). While still great tasting food, we will not be in a rush to visit immediately again with these drawbacks and so many other more reasonable places in the area.
Skip this place the food is bad. Thankfully the service was good.
One of my favorite breakfast spots in NYC. Great service and really good food. A bit crowded on the weekends but so worth it. I usually like to go middle of the week and kick back and have a coffee and meal while sending some work emails.
Great spot for a dinner with girlfriends. Vegan friendly!
My experience at this café was truly disappointing. Despite the promising flavors of the food and coffee, I couldnt overlook the numerous issues that plagued my visit. The waiter forgot our order, leading to a lengthy wait without any apology or acknowledgment. The service was consistently rude, which was both surprising and off-putting. While the taste of the food and coffee was a saving grace, the overall experience was marred by these unfortunate factors. Its a shame that such potential is overshadowed by poor service. I wouldnt recommend this café based on my experience.
Incredible biscuits. Their biscuits and gravy is wonderful for brunch. I’ve also had their roast chicken which was so juicy and flavorful.
Great pancakes and biscuits! It’s just such good food and vibes that we could sit and hang n eat for hours on end.
Mushroom biscuit and small drip coffee.
Great food, great service, rare burger served medium well. 🫤
Lovely white decor style. Really fresh and tasty brunch.
Canceled our Christmas Day reservation on Christmas Eve. Now we have nowhere go for Christmas dinner.
Good brunch excellent bloody mary
I will let you know that the food was delicious.I would give four stars my wife and I were blown away.We arrived early to our reservation and found the place was mostly empty and they seemed well staffed. So we thought that was a good sign given how many other places nearby were at capacity.Unfortunately we were gravly mistaken.I ordered Pancakes and a Soda because it was 12:10 and why not. I got the 4oz can Coke in 2 minutes. The top of the can was filthy and dented but as fast at it was placed on the table the waiter was gone. He didnt come back for an additional 45 minutes later. When I mentioned my unopened soda he just gave me a napkin. At this point the neighboring table also ordered sodas and there table got 3 clean cans and glasses and straws. It was now 1:20 and my pancakes finally arrived. They were delicious and ate them quickly by 1:35 we asked for the check... which we got at 1:55. We spent $60 on a brunch that lasted 2 hours. Great delicious food but even for free I wouldnt give them two hours of my day again.I will just get there stuff delivered in the future.
The wait for the food was an hour and the food itself was not good… don’t recommend
Always amazing! Highly recommend the pulled pork biscuit.
Decent food, good service, nice ambiance.
The food was delicious but we waited almost an hour for our meal, which was breakfast. While we waited we were ignored by the wait staff and we were given no explanation as to why the wait was so long nor did they even check-in to let us know things would take longer than expected. If there was just one waiter I could understand but there were 3. Also, my spouse received a can of soda that had black soot all over the top. when I brought it to the waiters attention after fifteen minutes of trying to flag him down his response was simple OH. No offer to get us another can or to have it cleaned off just oh. On the taste of the food alone I would have easily rated this place highly but with wait staff like this, but sadly I couldnt.
The best southern breakfast in this part of the country lol. Biscuits and gravy is to die for and the portions are great
Fantastic little cafe vibe in the Lower East Side. Delicious brunch options (for vegetarians and vegans as well) and a killer in-house hot sauce.
The place looks great but the food is uneventful. We waited 45 minutes to get served a breakfast plate that literally takes me 2 minutes to prepare: 2 eggs, half an avocado and a bit of salad.
Great spot for a group of vegans and meat eaters, hard to find spots that cater to both specifically as opposed to accidentally. Biscuits and gravy were excellent, didnt have to wait too long for our party of six to be seated on a Saturday brunch. Would definitely recommend.
Run of the mill brunch spot with bad service. They are way too understaffed to support their garden seating. If you want brunch, you can find better elsewhere. The staff was rude and overloaded. Expect up to a 90 minute wait. We were seating at 11:45 for brunch and still weren’t served at 1:10.
I always get the biscuits and gravy. Have been for more than a year. Theyre great every time.
Fantastic. The pancakes were so so unique and tasty. Excellent brunch in alphabet city
New review for the new space. Bloody Mary was good - pickle juice heavy, and deliciously spicy. Sausage biscuit was fantastic. Admittedly less flaky than I would hope on the biscuit, but that may have been because of the sausage. Quick and friendly service at the bar. They take reservations for brunch.
It’s not open.———Edit:I was very disappointed because I’ve planned to take my friends to this place for a long time. I checked both Yelp and google and it both said it’s open.Food was great can’t deny that!
Literally the best biscuits I have ever eaten
Good food, okay coffee. Great setting, slightly awkward when youre the only one in there. But overall Id recommend it - the biscuits were fantastic!
Chill food spot. Enjoyable atmosphere, good food.
The best brunch in the EV. You can’t go here and not get the biscuits and gravy. Unreal! Gooooo!!
As someone from the south it was so homey to taste delicious sausage and gravy again
Delicious food, friendly staff, a true East Village gem. 2023 UPDATE: Still the best - love coming here
Perfect spot for a relaxing meal. Good portion size, however could have had a little bit more potatoes with the meal. Everything cooked perfectly and very appetizing presentation. Highly suggest gravy and biscuit.
We waited over an hour for bland food and terrible service. Avoid - so many other great places in the east village.
Excellent brunch. Bisquits were delicious. Well priced and great menu. Good vibe outside and wonderful safe service.
I have only had breakfast/brunch here. Low key place with a small menu, but with good variety of lighter as heavier options. Do a great job with the BBQ pork and biscuits and gravy, I also enjoyed the quinoa. Friendly and prompt service, one of my go to spots when Im in the neighborhood.
Hot turmeric tea was great. I had the avocado toast and it was amazing. I cant recommend this place enough. I will definitely be back when I visit NYC again.
Food and service are absolutely incredible. I love this cozy restaurant.Be sure to try their biscuits! They have a special family recipe and its aces.
Incredibly disappointing, bland food, bad service. My friend and I were both turned off by there service, food, and then nasty response to mine. Instead of simply apologizing they attacked snd tried to discredit my review. Very tacky end proves there view of service. All they had to do is apologize and maybe message me to see how they could resolve it, instead they snapped back which is hilarious. The server had a very bad attitude yes let me just feel like we were not supposed to and made us feel as though he was annoyed we came or maybe annoyed to need to work. After we placed our drinks and water order the bar keep that was supposed to bring the water was just standing there gazing off into the distance like they were looking over a mountaintop for quite a while before finally bringing the prepared water that was just sitting there. The food was BLAND to put it nicely. We had to layer it with salt and pepper. Finally, when I paid The $60 for brunch and changed the tip option from 22% to 18% and said thank you he walked away with a puff as if he was angry that he got 4%.
I love this spot! The owner is so friendly and nice all the time. Amazing food, delicious coffee, cute space
