The restaurant was open and clean. The waitress was super friendly. The food was delicious. My mom had the grilled salmon, which can with plenty of vegetables, and I had the shrimp quesadillas. The presentation of both dishes was pretty. Not to me tion the Red Sangria, YUMMY!!!! I will definitely return and recommend my friends.
Pico De Gallo is one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in the Upper West Side! The chicken fajita and beef enchilada were amazing! The service was very friendly! We had a wonderful experience there and will bring our families and friends back to try some more dishes! I highly recommend Pico De Gallo to my friends who crave for Mexican food.
Best Mexican my family and I have ever had! This restaurant is amazing, the service was top-notch, the guacamole is made at your table and the food is downright delicious. The chicken mole tacos were the best I ever had. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean
Guillermo was amazing. The most personable, attentive, and fun server. He really made our experience 5 stars. Certainly does not hurt that the food was very good (and this is coming from someone who grew up on Tucson Mexican food). Enmoladas were great. Guac was respectable. And drinks were GREAT and strong for what you’re paying. 10/10 recommend, especially impressive for a chain. Go and request Guillermo, genuinely.
Great restaurant with friendly staff. I love the chicken and mole 😋. Great weekly drink specials, outdoor patio. Great food! It is now my go-to for delicious Mexican food!
Will come back!! Good ambience, great food and delicious drinks!! Our waitress was super kind. We ordered nachos, quesadillas, sweet plantain and tacos. Portions are big so it’s shareable :)
I when to Pico De Gallo kitchen with my husband and we had the shrimp taco salad it was amazing. I had the jarritos soda which I highly recommend. Can’t wait for you guys to get your liquor license. This is a place that I highly recommend. Costumer service was awesome. Everyone that works there was very nice and attentive.
It was a nice spot! Good food, good service very chill bar/restaurant vibe. Tv wasn’t or music wasn’t too loud. Everyone was very nice when walking in and being served. All the food we had was tasty.
I had read some reviews of this place but wanted to experience it myself. As a native New Yorker Ive been to many Mexican restaurants with good food but the food, service and friendly staff was exceptional! Best Mexican food Ive ever had in NYC and even in Mexico which Ive visited numerous times. Excellence across the board and this has moved to the top of my list of best Mexican food in all of NYC. The yucca fries were delicious and the chicken fajita was out of this world. I ordered a cosmo which was absolutely PERFECT!!! I will definitely be back repeatedly and would recommend it to my friends.
The food here was very fresh and really tasty. I recommend the homemade corn tortillas - they were fantastic! I had the vegetable quesadilla and it was packed with fresh veggies and seasoned well. Margaritas were refreshing and perfectly balanced, not too sweet. The only reason Im not giving five stars is because our table was seated and we waited 20-25 minutes with no one coming over to ask if we wanted anything. My friend had to get up and get someones attention, and even then it took a few more minutes for someone to take our drink and appetizer orders.
We have been here twice and highly recommend it. Our servers, Vanessa and Meggy, were both wonderful. They made excellent suggestions and were prompt in getting our food. My wife had the shrimp dish each time and loved it. I had the chicken fajitas. There was plenty and very flavorful. I had tacos the next time and really enjoyed them. Try the margaritas and the mojitos, yum! One can seat outside on the street, inside or outside in the back. Great place. We will go there again!Walid
Guacamole NYCAs a native upper West sider, I was surprised I’ve never stumbled inside this place. I don’t know, for some weird reason the outside never attracted me. Perhaps that’s why I never ventured inside. Boy, was I ever wrong to doubt.First off the vibe is inside is awesome. There is plenty of space to eat, staff was friendly, music is relaxing but not too loud, and they have a backyard!!!I have to admit, the three enchiladas were decent enough. I’ve never been a fan of the tortillas being dipped in salsa for too long as they can become soggy. The melted cheese or the mole sauce shouldn’t soak the enchiladas. While the tortilla seemed to be too wet, the flavor won on this one. The meal was balanced with well with rice and beans. To top it off I had a tamarind margarita. Yum yum!Definitely recommend this place. I hear from colleagues that the drinks are something special. From experience my drink had a good kick to it. Go try them out.
This is such a fantastic place. Not only are they kind, and super accommodating ,the food is absolutely delicious! From the margaritas, to guacamole made before your eyes, simply spectacular top service. Austria, the hostess is divine and we were served and taken care of by Guillermo, a very charming man. Including a photo of the Molé- absolutely out of this world. We will be repeat offenders over and over and over again.💕
The service here was excellent. Everyone was attentive and friendly. The guacamole was good and they had different types to choose from. It came in a small bowl and Im not sure if it is made to order or not. They bring you chips with three different types of salsas to the table , all of which are pretty good.As for most Mexican restaurants that dont explicitly state otherwise , their rice and retries beans are not vegetarian , which makes it harder to order a vegetarian meal here. They do have several vegetarian options but you have to make sure to tell them not to include rice or retries beans. This is a great place to get Mexican food, especially if you have no dietary restrictions. If you are vegetarian, you are better off going someplace with more options.
Update: the restaurant has rebranded to Pico de Gallo (formerly was Guacamole). The menu has changed a bit but largely the place is the same with good food and good service. They make your guacamole in front of you and have a great happy hour deal every day.I probably order here once a week - the food is consistently solid. Love their guacamole fresco and the ceviche, the tacos are great, the backyard is lovely.
It goes to show, no one really knows NYC. Nothing but good things to say about this place. First visit and hope many more to come on my next visits to the city.
Little gem of a restaurant. Servers are friendly and accommodating. Place is beautiful and clean. The food was generously portioned, fresh and delicious. Lovely quiet patio in the back with electric fans to beat the summer heat! Very pleased.
Good food. Good service. Went on a Friday night and it was fun they had live music. Good drinks and good food. Ordered nachos, tacos and quesadillas. They were all epic. I liked the tacos more than the nachos though but nachos were stillreal good.
The food was really good, i ordered the classic tacos, each one with a different meat, they were really tasty although they were in the spicy side on its own, no sauce needed. I also ordered the coconut mojit and it was great! My only disappointment was the guacamole, it was really bland and in my opinion it was not worth $15 dollars!
FIRST visit for me, celebrate my daughter 30th bday. It is quite a nice spot. The food and drink was good. Our waiter was great. Definitely will return in the near future
Incredible food with fun twists on standard Mexican dishes (like the fresco guacamole). Friendly staff, delicious cocktails and nice ambiance. Definitely coming back again!
My favorite local margarita spot! Their happy hour is worth it because the drinks are not only tasty, but hit the spot. The staff is also personable and remember me whenever I drop by. The flautas and guac are my fav :)
Great placed Just happened to be in the area and stopped in for a nice cold beer and a bite to eat. I have to tell you the guacamole was definitely on point, we was seated in the outside patio that was very Cousy it had a great feel to the place . I definitely recommend it . I will be coming back to eat and try a few things next time.
Everything was good in this place. Drinks, food, and customer service were awesome.
SO,. .its called Guacamole NYC so I decided to have the traditional Guac...AND IT DISAPPOINTED....say lime cilantro onions and tomatoes its tasted like nothing didnt even have salt!... But they quickly made up for it with the Chicken Chimchanga it was good!!! Wasnt dry presentation was nice had some accents of pico de Gallo and the guac overall not that bad.
FINALLY! Excellent food, drinks and service!!!Been going to Mexican restaurants for over 40 years and finally found a really great place in NYC after living here since 2000. Why didn’t I find this place before?? Margaritas, guacamole, and salsa, oh my mole!! They have this smokey salsa…so damn good. Maoli was incredible, so patient and attentive!!!
My sister’s engagement party was held here. They were amazing, the food was delicious and the waiters/waitress were attentive.
Good food , the waiter was the best the nigth my family and I visited , the food was garnished so fancy
Service is great the staff all seemed kind. The food could be better for what they charge. The nachos we had weren’t fresh. It was Ok
Food is delicious and flavorful. Brunch options on the weekend. The service was great as well!
Most flavorful Mexican food weve ever had. Guillermo attended to our every need. Going back for lunch tomorrow.
Excellent service! Great happy hour drinks and nachos.
We came to NYC for a week and this was the only place we ate at twice! It was so delicious and the service was amazing, servers were so friendly and kind! The manager was also so friendly and funny, we felt right at home here. We got the birria tacos and the homemade guacamole where they make it in front of you which was so cool!Couldn’t recommend this place more!
Love this place. They have outdoor seating, great drinks, and the food is excellent! The mole tacos are so good.
Came here for Thursday Happy Hour $4 Margaritas ! Wow great service and amazing drinks and food! Had the tacos and nachos. Perfect spot!
We stopped in here on Easter Sunday for a casual brunch. Everything tasted great ESPECIALLY the guacamole - so well seasoned. I had a breakfast burrito with chorizo which had a great salsa verde with it served on top. The frozen margaritas were also great - not too sweet like most other places. Best of all was our server. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out. She was really sweet. I would definitely come back here!
Such a lovely patio on the back of restaurant. Did you know when you order guac, they make it fresh infront of you on a guac cart? I would definitely recommend it. ceviche was quite tasteful with a hint of spice and I really enjoyed birria tacos and squid(or octopus) taco. It was such a good experience and I look forward to visit here again near future.
The guacamole was fresh they make it in front of you and ask you how you want it so it was very good. We ordered salsa but of the 3 they brought out they all tasted terrible. Our server was very nice and accommodating. I had the skirt steak and tostones, the steak was good and the tostones were fried well but they were a little sweet and I didnt like that. The star of this restaurant is the passion fruit margaria I got it frozen and liked it a lot.
Always good food, comfortable place with very kind crew.
First time here. Stumbled upon the $10 / 3 taco Tues. especial. Exceptional al pastor. I’ll be back.
My first time coming here. Was accommodated while entering. Ordered a quesadilla and margarita. It was delicious and the drink was good. There is even a bar section in the restaurant. Good place to eat with friends and family. The happy hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 4Pm to 7pm. Thursday all night from 4Pm to close. The service and waiter was excellent. Will definitely return. Happy Eating!
Went for tacos and loved it. Service was the kindest and friendliest. Definitely worth going all the way there
I went yesterday to try them out ever since guacamole was taken down and I did not like it. I ordered a pork chimichanga and the outside tasted like nothing but oil. The pork was seasoned strangely. There was no sauce and barely enough guacamole to share between the 2 pieces they give you. I went home and had the craziest stomach ache. Mind you im pregnant so that was not pleasant at all. 10/10 would not go again. Ive had better. Also between my chimichanga, my partners burrito, and 2 ginger ales it was expensive.
This is our favorite local spot! Excellent food, happy hour, and the service cant be beat.
Excellent food and ambiance. I had the Meat Flautas and the Taco Salad Bowl with shrimps and the mix of flavors and texture was amazing. If you are a dessert lover the Caramel Flan is a must. Highly recommended!
Food & Drinks at this place were so delicious. My 4 star review is based only on the ambiance. The lighting was a bit too fluorescent-like and sterile, but the staff were great and the service was outstanding!
This place has reliably tasty dishes, service exemplary and friendly, nachos are gigantic....a side of jalapenos wouldnt hurt. This time draft machine was on the fritz so we switched to bottles. Selection limited but enough choices to survive. Have not had one bad meal here so keep going.
Loved this place. The music, the style, the food, the drinks did not disappoint. Muah! Many besos
2024: Food and drinks still good. Our waitstaff was attentive and tried to please (though they did bring a margarita on the rocks instead of frozen).2023: Restaurant is well air-conditioned with back patio. Food is decent and they have brunch specials (bottomless drinks optional).2018 (Back when it was Guacamole): Ordered delivery multiple times, but I havent eaten in the restaurant.Food is typically delivered earlier than stated. Price is moderate on most items. Their burritos are very full of rice, but still flavorful.
This place was so great! My boyfriend and I got the yuca appetizer, it was so great, we were obsessed with it. Then for entres I got the birrias, and my partner got the enchiladas verde and again it was just so delicious, it had been a while since we got authentic great quality mexican food. Finally for dessert we got the flan and churros (we just had to get both), by then we were absolutely stuffed but the flan was one of the best weve ever had, and the churros were stuffed with some caramel type of filling and it was perfect! Throughout the dinner we had multiple drinks (i forgot the names) but they were all reallly good, i would recommend getting any one of their drinks! The service was so great, the staff members were very kind and even packed our left overs to-go for us. Definitely coming back and recommending this place to everyone i know :)
Great time , strong happy hour drinks!
Great Tex Mex Food! Good vibes!!!
First time visited this place for dinner with group of 4. Being Tuesday evening and news of Covid spiking up in NYC it was not difficult to be seated right away. I saw few people dropping in for take out they also had backyard patio but due to cold it was not being used. Did order their Guacamole & chips right away. What I really liked was their chicken chimichanga. Every thing including rice was nicely wrapped and it was so tasty. It beat all the other chimichanga I had eaten before. I will recommend it.
Always in the mood for a margarita here the service is outstanding can’t complain at all , food is made fresh and beautifully presented. Musicians play on Friday nights 7pm -9pm happy hours 4-8pm except Thursdays are all day and night happy hour 🍻 this is definitely my happy place 💋Street parking 🅿️
Service was very, very, very slow. A bit pricey for what it was. The happy hr frozen margarita was weak but tasted ok the food was ok enough... fajitas were flavorful but lots of onions relative to other things. One of our party had the Tacos. They looked good.
I had a feeling the dinner was going to be bad after they served a guacamole appetizer. The guacamole had been pre-made and came cold from the refrigerator. In addition, too much onion and nothing much else. The main courses also not good. The chicken enchilada had over-cooked, dried chicken in it. Not sure, but I think I was over-charged but didnt have the receipt so cant say for sure. I should have known better since the restaurant was pretty empty on a night when most restaurants are full.
The food was good and reasonably priced. The frozen margarita was very good.
Tasty upscale Mexican, very friendly service, bright clean casual room.
I was walking in the neighborhood and stumbled upon this place while looking for something to eat. I did not regret it. The place was empty on a Wednesday afterwards which was fine. The service was great and the coconut flavored mojito was !! 🤤I only ordered an appetizer, the Yuca Supreme, fried yuca sticks and chorizo was extremely DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this place and am looking forward to coming again to bring friends and family!
The food is amazing! Along with the rest of the meal, the empanadas were the best I have EVER had. Nothing frozen or phony about the food. The drinks are incredible. The staff is really friendly providing wonderful service and the decor is gorgeous. Restaurants come and go in this spot I really hope they stick around for a while.
Wonderful frozen margarita, delicious chimichanga, and perfect churros! Really pleasant servers, and good looking indoor dining area and refreshing back patio!
So this was my second attempt and I really want to like this restaurant because its in my neighborhood and the former place that occupied the space had such great memories for me. However the first time my son and I waited over an hour for my entree and the shrimp was not cooked enough. The second time I went back I also had a problem with my order and with my bill. You guys better get it together this is a competitive town!
We had a fantastic dinner at Pico De Gallo Kitchen & Bar yesterday! We had the Carnitas, Salmon with vegetables, & chicken tacos. We settled on the Virgen Pina Colada after consulting the bartender & some Mexican soda that was delicious. We never had it before. The service was outstanding! I am going back!
Fairly standard fare. Very good tacos, but veggie tacos were so good I would go back just for those. Only complaint is that margaritas are made from concentrate.
There is a backyard...The place is relatively small, and although there isnt a large variety of items on the menu, the food is tasty...The mojitos are not bad either... Its a pretty good neighborhood restaurant...
Great service and good food and $4 happy hour draft beers (can’t beat that!). The patio is lovely on a warm summer evening.
Excellent service and a really good food, Tacos Tuesday are the best.
What a great find this place was. It just openned a few weeks ago and it is off to a great start. We stopped in for a Saturday lunch and made a great day even better. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about each dish. The food was great and large portions, we took the leftovers home...We definitely will be back!
Was going back and forth between 4 stars and 5 stars on this one. Food was amazing, staff and service were great. I probably had one of the greatest chicken quesadillas of my life at this place and the size of it was huge… and I love big portions. However, Im going with 4 stars because despite the large portion, I STILL felt this place was a bit pricey. Everything is probably about $2 or $3 more than it needs to be.If this was like many other Mexican restaurants where they provided free and unlimited chips and salsa on the table, that would make it 5 stars for me. Then I could at least feel a LITTLE bit better about the high prices because in the end, Id be receiving more food.My quesadilla was $17. Thats on par with maybe a burger and fries from another place… but thats the thing -- a burger AND FRIES… This was just the quesadilla and nothing else. But it was still delicious and I wouldnt hesitate to come back. Really great spot.As a bonus, this place has the stamp of approval from @nutfreeinNYC!
Salmon tacos are one of my personal favorites. And the huge quesadillas are a delicious easy go to and full meal.
Great bar and atmosphere, a welcome addition to the 90’s. Good beer selection on tap and the food I’ve had so far has been excellent. Service needs to improve (general attentiveness) but that takes time to work out.
Fantastic experience. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and everything from the presentation to the rice and beans was fantastic. Will be back again!!
I ordered 3 chicken tacos for 18 dollars after taxes(advertised for 15) to go , extremely expensive for the little chicken they put in the tacos, i was expecting something special for that price. They dont offer napkins and ustensils with their order, also they will bring you a check expecting you to leave tips for a take out order. I work hard for my money, i felt like i got ripped off.
I placed an order for pickup via ChowNow (link through Google maps) at 5:36pm. It said that my order would be ready around 6:22pm. I thought it strange that an order for pickup would take the same amount of time as delivery, but I assumed maybe it was busy. I arrive on time to get my order and the hostess asks my name. I tell her and she informs me that shell let me know when its ready. At 6:45pm I ask the hostess how much longer because I had someone watching my children just so I could come pick up this order. She asks me what I ordered. I tell her 1 order of flautas, 1 order of guac and 1 order of elote. She goes to the kitchen and tells me theyre working on it right now and asks if I want anything to drink while I wait. I check on seamless how long the wait is for delivery. Its estimated at 30-40minutes. At 7:02pm the hostess comes back and asks again what I ordered. I tell her to just cancel my order because its been too long and I have to go back. She asks me to wait one more second and goes back into the kitchen. She finally hands me my food with a smile. The food was okay. I was not impressed. It was NOT worth the wait. I wasnt offered any compensation, discount, free dessert or anything of the sort. I am disappointed at the quality of service and food Ive received. I dont usually complain much because Ive worked in restaurants in the past, but this is unacceptable. I could have had a a full dine-in meal in the time that I waited for pickup... Twice! Ive attached pictures of what I ordered. (I did receive the toppings for the flautas on the side along with chips for the guac).
Great food great drinks
I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. I absolutely loved their Tamarind margaritas. Will definitely come again.
Solid. The fried chicken bites with tajín and chipotle mayo are delicious, and worth coming back for on their own. We also liked the chicken enchiladas (though the takeout container takes away from the experience a bit) and pork al pastor tacos (flavorful but maybe a little bit dry).
Sumptuous chicken fajitas and perfect margaritas with tequila you can taste, not the watered down usual stuff.
Relaxed and casual yet still high quality. Their beautiful porch is a great place to enjoy a drink and some food at a reasonable price.
So disappointed! I ordered something they call “ensalada fresca” that was everything but fresh, the mixed greens looked like they were left out of temperature for hours! I love pomegranate but this one was smashed not crispy, the sauce was off! Honestly I think the sold me a mistaken salad that was about to be thrown out. Awful.
The Steak is amazing. And I love the margaritas. Also must try churros dessert.
Best chicken chimichanga I ever ate!! Guac was super good too!! Churros we’re amazing! Amazing restaurant!
Party of four having dinner at Pico De Gallo last night, the food and drinks were delicious! Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
They have a lovely garden. We dined in the back garden. The distance between tables are far enough. Yet It feels like things are normal again. Food is very good..Staff is very friendly and attentive.
The burnt chicken threw me off but the manager was nice to give us a free compliment drink
Excellence customer service!!And the food is tasty with flavor for a modern twist of the traditional Mexican cuisine. There is always something new. But the best of all its at an affordable cost.
First time at guacamole we choose this place to celebrate mothers day it was fun, food and drinks was good I recommend it
If I could leave 0 stars I would. One, they were receiving a citation from the city when my family & I arrived. We still decided to support the small business & stay. Upon sitting we were told someone would be with us shortly.. while we sat for 30 minutes we seen employees were touching chairs and tables with the same gloves they were delivering food and drinks with.. the table across from us had dirty silverware and glassware that was there before we sat.. during Covid.. dangerous and YUCK. We decided at that point wed only get drinks. However we werent able to get anything because they were too busy conversing and playing with each other. After speaking to the manager who was clearly in the kitchen but decided to not wear a mask, we had it and left. Service was HORRIBLE and whatever health mystery they have will soon be uncovered. DISGUSTING.
I used to love this place. Until today, me and my friends wanted to celebrate a birthday here and asked twice if botomless brunch is available. They said yes. (It was also on their website). We get to the place and they say no botomless available. We ask to speak to the manager and he refuses to come out. People were rude and they do false advertisement
Food was good, service was great. Thought it was a bigger place from videos I have seen online. Have an outdoor area in back when it gets warmer.
Amazing place and service. Our server JULIANA was the bomb. I would make sure to come back. We had the tacos and quesadilla. Both great! I really recommend it forward.
Not so much! Stingy portions and TERRIBLE sauces.Ok first the good news, the goat tacos and the queso fundido were very good although the queso was 50% sausage. Good sausage but it competed with the tasty baked/melted queso. The bad news: Contrary to some reviews I read, (maybe the night I went , it was a different cook) were TINY! The namesake guacamole was about a half a cup at most; the tacos, although tasty, where also very small one the smallest tortillas, Ive ever seen. But the thing that pissed me off the most was that they served up about 15 tortilla chips that fit in a little metal cup! When I asked for more, the waiter told me Id have to pay extra!! And then the next offensive thing were the sauces. First, there were no sauces, well, only a teeny green yucky one, on the table, I had to ask for some red sauce for the chips. They brought me some about the size of one of those containers that you get when you have to serve yourself your own ketchup - Id say about 1ounces worth-and it was THE WORST tasting stuff Ive ever had. ....and Im old!! Ive been to a LOT of Mexican restaurants. lol I kept asking for some other type of sauce hoping I might find one that was better-green, red and finally this hot sauce that was made with liquid smoke-I swear, I know that smell and flavor very well. Margaritas werent great but I did appreciate that at least they werent sickening sweet as they are in some restaurants. Other good news, the waiters were nice and attentive and the decor is very nice and a fun mix of families and young couples. But ultimately, I wont be going there again unless Im in the mood for goat tacos and nothing else.
The menu goes beyond the usual chicken, pork, rice and beans that get endlessly varied in NYC Mexican restaurants. The flavors are bright and fresh. I especially liked house tacos.
I when to pico de gallo with a friend so excited cause we wanted the ceviche soooo baaadly and once I was there couldn’t find it on the menu and when we ask, Guillermo told us is not in the menu anymore! Guys please reconsider this decision, all your plates are soo good, but the ceviche IS THE BEST I EVER HAD !By the way we were very happy with Guillermos attentions, undoubtedly the best :)
Fantastic addition to the neighborhood. The staff was very welcoming, the music and ambiance was perfect, great decor, and while I only got an appetizer and drinks everything was excellent. Will be back frequently!
Amazing food and good service.
Very nice local Mexican food. Nice menu and not typical.
The restaurant has beautiful Mexican decor and a cozy atmosphere. I had chicken the chicken enchiladas which were absolutely delicious! The sangria was a little watered down but got the job done. Happy hour ends at 6pm. Guillermo is the best! He is friendly and attentive!
AMAZING food and margaritas!
The food was excellent. Back seating area was cute too. Waiter was super nice and really on top of things.
The service was okay and the food not the worst but they do not honor gift certificates to their place unless you use the whole thing so I was forced to spend $100 because they wouldnt give me another gift certificate for the balance of my order.
Obsessed with this restaurant, their happy hour, and their guac!!! I come here more often than any other HH spot.
Really nice Mexican spot... we tried half the menu and pretty much loved all of it. Queso fundido and pulpa y chorizo tacos were my highlights. Give this place a try and you might be hooked.
Really great underrated restaurant. Food and service were both excellent
The food is excellent. The Pina Colada, wasnt water down. Service An atmosphere was excellent. People who work there are awesome.
Service was extremely friendly and prompt and the food was really good! There have been a number of Mexican restaurants in this space and I do hope that this place succeeds.
Fast service. Good food! friendly staff (ambience could be maybe improved a little but not a real issue) recommended.
Can not go wrong at this place. 4 dollar margs all day on Thursday which are killer and then the food is a masterpiece as well. Highly recommend this place!
Great food and lovely staff!! Definitely recommend their frozen margs and the enchiladas.
Amazing food best Mexican corn ever
I just tried this really great tasting restaurant. Nothing to fancy just really good food. Once atmosphere and very nice staff!!
I was there for breakfast and dinner. The atmosphere, food/drinks, dessert and service is superb.
Great while it was open. Gov Cuomo is closing restaurants and bars on 12/14. I hope they will survive so I can visit again.
Great chicken mole. Competent service but NOISY LOUD music ruins the experience unless you like that sort of thing.
This place has becoming our place after work on Fridays. The drinks are on point! 👌 The Guacamole is delicious but the quesadillas are mg favorite! 😋
Got takeout for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the beef chimichangas. The pickup and ordering process was pretty smooth. I thought the price was a little steep for my dish, but in the end it was worth it because my chimichanga was stuffed with shredded meat. The dish was very well seasoned and I loved the side of guacamole and salsa that came with it. The tortilla was fried to a crisp perfection and paired really well with the soft interior. I saw that there was some pretty cute outdoor seating available.
The food was just okay and nothing special. The guacamole was unfortunately subpar.Nothing stood out. Everything was overpriced.
The food was delicious and the service was great. The cocktails were tasty and strong.
Although flavorful, the “veggie” burrito would be more accurately described as a rice burrito. The staff was friendly.
Great backyard with heaters, we had the shrimp guacamole and the fish al pastor tacos, and we loved them.
Hardcore tasty Modern Mexican food. Great cocktails and the chef loves to come out and take your order personally!
Great food, great service and loved the paintings on the wall.
Guacamole and Tacos were great. Mole was eh, but not of fan of sweet n spicy
Nice neighborhood vibe. Food was authentic and plentiful. Staff was very personable. Overall very pleasant.
Good food, but a little pricey for what it was. Mezcal cocktail was tasty, margarita wasnt as good.
Not for Vegetrain. They had one dish for brunch and wouldnt accommodate for anything else.
Decent Mexican with a low-key vibe. Good tacos, and a great frozen Margarita.
Place is awful.Burrito was super bland, had peas and carrots in the rice for some reason? Seemed like the burrito wasn’t grilled, and the contents of the burrito weren’t hot. Wasn’t much meat in the burrito either. I thought my pork burrito was bad, but my girlfriends chicken burrito was worse.Easily the worst burrito I’ve ever had, and it was $20…Guacamole was also very limey, which overpowered the guac.Place is awful.
Very good and fresh food. Would recommend if you are in the area
Great food, wonderful service. One of the best restaurants around!
Ashley the lead Hostess is amazing as well as the rest of the staff and the authentic Mexican Cuisine is off the chain
A step up from traditional Mexican restaurant fare - in flavor, style, presentation, service (and price) in a still casual setting.
Food was good, portions were also good. Service could be faster.
Outdoor space was a bit dirty and food was just ok. I wouldn’t go back
Food is good if you dont have any allergies. They CANNOT manage food allergies.
Fantastic tacos. And a great outdoor seating area in the back
Best mojito Ive ever had. The coconut one. Very good.
They had a great deal on 3 tacos for, taco Tuesday the carnitas were delicious!
Great food great drinks great service! Order the shrimp tacos with corn
It was more than what I had expected the service was great the food plenty in a casual venue
The environment and service was amazing. The manager Australia was absolutely amazing and welcoming.
This might be my new favorite restaurant. The food/drinks tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned, our waiter and hostess were convivial, and the atmosphere (back patio) was fantastic. I did not anticipate how much I’d like it here and was truly impressed by my experience. Can’t wait to go back.
Great Food.. Great Service.. Great Vibe... Beautiful outdoors seating in back..
A little on the pricey side but the staff were very friendly and the food was delicious
Thier namesake was amazing! also loved the octopus tacos. would do again!
Good food. Decent price. Wait staff is great.
Great place to eat before going to symphony space later for a show.
I didn’t know what to expect going in but I was pleasantly surprised! We went today during Margarita Thursdays where margaritas are half price and it’s Happy Hour until closing. Drinks were really great! Service was A+ phenomenal. I hate that I don’t remember his name but it was an older gentleman and he was the best server I’ve ever had. So attentive and makes you want to come back! I got the chicken enchiladas which was okay, it wasn’t my favorite but for someone else it would probably be great. The beef quesadillas though were super yummy! And they make the guacamole right in front of you and cater it to your liking which I love. Overall such an amazing experience, definitely coming back!
Great food & awesome drinks friendly and exceptional staff members
A Fiesta for your mouth, body & soul. Really fun and festive appetizers and Margaritas!
Great food, friendly staff and nice location in my neighborhood.
Amazing place everything is great ,music ,food and drinks ,favorite one passion fruit mojito
The food was great but the passion fruit magarita was even greater
Great food, unfortunately I got sick on my last visit
This place was so cute on the inside and that have an outdoor patio in the back. The drinks are AMAZING and the food is DELICIOUS! I got the Birria tacos and they were so authentic and juicy!! The fresh guacamole is sort of expensive but they make it in front of you and you can choose if you want to add in the onions, cilantro, jalapeños and tomatoes. They bring a whole table it and open the avocado in front of you! It’s definitely a fun experience!!The service was probably the best service I’ve gotten anywhere. The manager came up and was so nice and talkative. Our server was amazing and so friendly. Very attentive and helpful! If you’re in the area, this place will not disappoint you!!
What a beautiful little neighborhood gem. Great decor, excellent drinks, very friendly and super accommodating staff, festive atmosphere, and delicious food. Not a single complaint among our very large party of 10 people. My 2 and 3.5 year old loved the cheese quesidilla and the yuca fries. I had an enjoyable veggie quesidullia, and my husband had the steak fajita. People in our party also enjoyed the salmon and fish tacos, veggie burrito, taco salad, and more. The churros were truly the cherry on top, so delicious and fresh.Would totally go back and order new things off the menu.
I wait like 45 minutes for my order and food was ice cold, the placed was empty. It doesnt make any sense. Not recommended!!
Adorable restaurant! Small & Quant & staff is lovely!
We had the best time here last night! Seated in a lovely open-air courtyard, amazing service from the full team, absolutely PERFECT margaritas, and really delicious food - guac freshly made at your table, amazing fish and steak tacos and a tasty (and bit different) ceviche. This place deserves 5 stars! We will definitely be back!!
I brought my family…We got in and my “primos” treated us as real family, the drinks are awesome and the food was exquisite, I just saying this because I have to be honest.
Food was delicious. I will definitely go again to try out other items on the menu. Great to have them in the neighborhood.
Hands down the best Mexican food Ive had on the UWS. Menu goes beyond the standard fare, service is attentive, and dishes are beautifully presented. Excellent drinks, too.
Always have a great time and would highly recommend the pork nachos
I went to Pico the Gallo last Wednesday and the experience I had was beyond great, the service I received from the moment I walked in until the end was incredible. The food was so tasty that I ordered at least 4 dishes from the menu. The only thing is missing is the Liquor license but I was told they’ll have that soon. Definitely coming back to this place
I tried Mexican food for the first time but it was good. Nice restaurant
Great fun, food, environment, price, good service.
We love Pico De Gallo! If you remember this location being called Guacamole, youre not wrong. Theres been a change of hands regarding ownership, but this has only been a good thing.Weve been numerous since then and love the changes theyre making to the menu (refining and adding a few dishes + beverages). Everyone here is always so kind, funny, and thoughtful (Guillermos the best). Were constantly ordering the enmoladas, nachos, and of course margaritas :)
We were very happy with our food and service at Pico De Gallo. Happy hour prices were good the Guacamole that was made fresh at our tables side was delicious and whole we weren’t hungry we had to splurge for dessert and got the churros which was the perfect size for the three of us.
I loved everything about this place. Amazing food, amazing drinks, really nice waiters and waitresses and a very friendly atmosphere. I felt comfortable and would love to go back again
This should not be confused with the Guacamole restaurant that used to be here. This is a new restaurant, with some of the best Mexican food on the UWS, and great service.
Come for the margs, stay for the patio
I love this place! They make the guacamole tableside and the frozen margs are incredible! Tacos and Fajitas are SO good too! Also LOVED the churros filled with caramel sauce! YUM! 10/10
Very welcome cafe with fantastic tacos and backyard tables.
Excellent mole, relaxing quiet patio out back.
Well be careful if reserve because If you ask for any requests is, no no no
Awesome experience, delicious food and good service! Definitely will be back soon.
Great food. Excellent customer service!!!
Good food drinks are better very pricey
Had the birria tacos and the chorizo and octopus tacos. Everything delicious 10/10 would recommend.
What a scam… This place does not list prices accurately and tried to charge us the regular price of drinks that were clearly listed in the happy hour section when we dined in during the happy hour window.
Absolutely in love! The food was great. The margaritas were perfection and our server Guillermo was the sweetest! Everything about this lil Mexican restaurant was perfecto! Also.... ask for the house hot sauce, if you like it spicy its the perfect addition ❤️🌶
Delicious carnitas..... great guacamole....excellent service!
Its quite unsuspecting on the outside but we were treated like family and enjoyed our favourite meal so far in NYC
No really mexican, a little too pricey, overall good ambiance
I love their beef birria tacos.
Birria tacos were great and service is outstanding.
Love the Patio. The food was good. Price is ok but portion kind of small. Wish they have some soft music playing so I dont have to hear others conversations. The customer service is great , place is clean. Overall nice family restaurant or date too.
Hands down best Mexican restaurant on the UWS. Coming from California it has been hard to find good Mexican but Pico de Gallo here in NY is definitely the best we have found. Their table side guacamole, chicken mole tacos and fajitas are definitely the best around. Make sure you stop by!
What a great place to hangout with friends. The service was AMAZING. No joke the service was great. Everyone there is very much a team player. Good to see that. My waiter was spectacular. Really knew his stuff. The food was great and drinks too. Yum yum yum. A must go to place
I ordered 3 different types of tacos for 15$. They tasted okay. Were served cold. Definitely didnt fill my stomach but that could be because I had biked and run a lot earlier in the day. Overall - the place is nice for small groups. Not too big.
Drinks werent that great and the food CANNOT be modified as per waitstaff!
Love this restaurant! Great food and amazing service :)
The best nachos Ive had in New York! Absolutely delicious and packed with goodness. House cocktails are fantastic too: we tried machete and spicy margarita. The place has a cute backyard.
Yummm. These people know how to make a delicious burrito. I love that they deliver. But even better is eating it there. They have taco Tuesdays and practically fun deals every day. And live music too. And it doesnt hurt that the male and female bartenders are cute and fun to talk to too.
Delicious food and drinks
I got there steak burrito for delivery and was a total waste of money. Filled with rice and frozen vegetables and probably a 1/4 up of pulled pork. Didn’t even look like proper steak.Honestly a waste of money. What ever happen to quality especially for a $19 burrito.
Food and drinks were delicious; service during an unexpected hailstorm on the patio was outstanding!! Kids loved the plantains. Strip steak was cooked perfectly. Great evening at Guacamole.
My girlfriend and I stopped for a drink at the bar and Mario was very nice and personable! Guacamole was fantastic and drinks were good! We would go again to get the full experience!
This place is so nice. I work for the Department of Health and needless to say I was looking to see if they were clean. Place was spotless. Our bartender Henry was amazing. He made the best margaritas Ive ever had, and he have us some shots as well. He was very attentive, super nice, and pleasant to deal with. Ive ordered food from there to pick up from lunch so I knew the food was good, but I never tried their drinks. Ill definitely be back!
