It’s a great space to enjoy live music. The nice interior enhances the experience with awesome musicians, an amazing crowd, and a cool atmosphere.

Nice venue with cool staff. Bathroom line moves fast, drinks are insanely expensive but not for Manhattan. Sound guy was absolutely excellent, especially considering the strange layout of the stage which Im sure has nightmarish acoustics.

Love the intimacy of this live music venue. They play pretty good pre-show music like groovy RnB, Erykah Badu vibe.

Great venue for live music. However, beware of the tipping scam. A 20% tip is already included in the bill, yet staff will hand you the card reader and intentionally bypass the screen showing the total, prompting you to add an extra tip w/o realizing one was added already.

Great sound and atmosphere for live music! My only hold up was that tiny well liquor drinks were $13 a pop, so if you’re drinking be prepared to spend some money.

Nublu is a wonderful intimate space to enjoy drinks and music with new and old friends. I attended an album release for Homeboy Sandman and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I will definitely be checking their events calendar to see what else they have coming up.

I’ve been in a Producer Monday (open mic). The music was great, lot of young n talented musicians jammin. But you gotta know, if you wanna drink something there you may be prepared. A negroni was a bit more than $20. And for my surprise (missed not asking bout this one before) an Old Fashioned with a simple standard jim bean whisky was $40! That really made me think if the music worths the fancy scheme..

Amazing venue to catch a show. You can mingle in the crowd or check out the vantage from up and above the band. Very unique stage set up where the band is essentially in the middle of the room. Definitely will be back. Bartenders were quick and drink prices werent egregious.

One of the best venues for live music in NYC, always a good time

Fun place for great music! We heard two nights of the Winter Jazz Fest here, and appreciated the personnel and acoustics. Unfortunately, there is very limited seating. Be prepared to stand or to rush for the few seats behind the stage.

Tip is included but the bartender will hand you the card reader to sign, skipping the screen that shows your purchase, but the total and the next screen w/ ADDITIONAL tip levels so you don’t see 20% was already included. I alerted the bank. Scammy af.

An underground jazz club. Went to a 7:30-10pm show. New age jazz. Drinks are Hella expensive but it is worth it. Loved it

Only good thing about this place was the dj. If you say the show starts at 10 then it should. We also paid $20 per person just to get in. Please do better.

Ive seen some great shows here, but pro tip: when you charge me the cost of an entire bottle for a single drink and carefully measure one oz of liquor with a jigger, it only means I am not going to buy another drink, resulting in a net loss of liquor sales.Not sure how long this place is going to stay open. Space is wonderful, sound is great, they book good acts. Its a shame about the price gouging.

One of my favorite hang out spot with other Creatives and Musicians. Producer Mondays would be my routine.Just finished performing with one of my bros. Best way to wrap up this visit before I fly back to home to the 808.

Ive heard some of the most top notch artist here! The layout of the venue is dope. The sound is pretty good in the audience. Its a struggle to hear yourself on stage. Vocalists and musicians. So everyone ends up turning their monitors up too much. The Bartenders are pretty efficient. Its not a huge place but the design makes use of the space very well. Theresa balcony and upstairs bar. Great photo opps throughout especially near coat check and the bathrooms

Saw the band Toy Machine on 9/1 never heard of them b4 but they were lit. The lead singer was amazing. Where are they playing next?

It’s a cool venue, but every time I go there the show always starts like an hour later than posted and then I have to leave early instead of seeing everything. And that’s my only complaint. Otherwise great space, vibes, and energy.

The bouncer was so rude and misogynistic. Do not go. He deserves jail time. The bartender made my night though

Small and quaint venue in alpahabet city. As you open the heavy curtains you step down to a dance floor and small stage. There are two bars on main floor and mezzanine. Top shelf liquor available at Manhattan prices. Bathrooms are unisex. The wall decor were projected images according to theme. Place started getting crowded after midnight.

Easily one of the best clubs in the city for seeing incredible live music just about any night of the week. Definitely the closest in vibe and overall feeling like a late night hang in Nola!

Great venue, would get a 5 but... they need to inform us about their ticket pricing. Advertisement says one price, but at the door its something else. At least let the people know.

Never again. They charged us $20 apiece at the door and never bothered up mention that the show (so-so DJs) was ending 30 min later. Midnight on a Tuesday? Please.

You just need to go. Of course, some nights the offer may be strange or meant for an eclectic taste, but the Nublu team makes an undeniable year in effort to bring quality music to the NY underground.

My first time in the new spot. Still has that Nublu vibe, great staff, and an upgrade on the sound system. As a musician and a listener that is important.

Great cozy spot on the lower east side. Nice vibe inside, good drinks. Had a great time there!

Basic performance space. Very limited seating, not exactly a venue for someone over 50 years old unless you have a very good reason.

A good bar, didnt really connect with the music, there is no dancing area. Would not suggest paying $10 for entry.

Bought tickets for the 10PM time slot which listed three performers. We arrived at 10:20 and a band had just finished a set. We came back at 12AM and the stage was empty. Tried again at 1AM and the stage was still empty. We let the manager know that we were disappointed that a live performer had not been onstage in three hours and he made a comment about how we wasn’t making any money on coat checks. Extremely disappointed after having great time at the venue last week. $20 each down the drain.

I got to say this is a pretty fun spot for a night of dancing. I think the only thing that is weird is you have to get through the dancefloor first in order to get to coat check and whatnot. Bar service was pretty good as they have two: one right on the dance floor, and one up the stairs overlooking everything. I would definitely not mind ending the night here.

Have been here for several live music events, and i always have a blast. Specially for the ones with dancers like layerythm on the last Tuesday of every month. Great venue for these types of parties, and just a nice place with a good vibe overall. Would recommend it to anyone.

I didnt even get to have the food . We stepped into the open door to a woman staff members STANK attitude! because we were there at 7pm when they were supposed to be OPENING at 7pm per their website. And she scolded us for showing up thru the open doors as they were setting up ! RUDE!!! We didnt realize 7 really meant 8!We returned at 8:30 only to be stopped at the front door by some dude that couldve been just some dude off the street sitting there telling us we needed to pay $20 CASH to get in ...I mean come On people....Can we be a little more professional here...Where does it tell you you need to buy a ticket to get in? And How?...I was not looking forward to Miss Stinky in there anyway so that was a sign to walk away.Oh! But thanks to the nice gentleman probably the manager that gave us the nice idea to check out the cool place in the corner. I forget the name.NuBlu looks like a nice place. But Im not feeling it right now. But thats just Me.🤷🏾‍♀️

Amazing venue

Very crowded for the show I was seeing, but its a good vibe with two bars and a coat check, and some interesting behind-stage seating.

My credit card was fraudulently charged days after I was there. There was no explanation for this charge.Avoid this place if you do not want to be robbed by them.

The good: excellent show, good sound. Loud, but not way too loud like a lot of places. You could hear every instrument well.The bad: smells like mildew, drinks are just ok, many staff not particularly friendly, seems like there are not enough bathroom facilities (they seem to have 4 WCs but only one appeared to be in use). Almost no seating. Show started 1:45 later than the time on the ticket.No food in the club downstairs.

Really cool music venue. Interesting layout, with a balcony over the stage, 2 bars, and plenty of bathrooms in the back. Came here to see Aberdeen and NYChillharmonic, 2 great bands on a Friday Night, was able to get up to the balcony where it was less crowded.

Cool little music venue. Nice layout and interior. Plenty of bathrooms. But probably exceeded safe capacity for the Winter Jazz Festival (which wasn’t as jazzy as expected but still had several exceptional musicians).

Ive been here several times over the years... although I live on the other coast..The vibe, energy, service, staff and talent have all been top notch every single time..The sound and sightlines [both very important in this hybrid, LIVE/DANCE venue. Tge attention to the right notes and details will remind you that this is an Artist-Owned venue and the folks behind the NUBLU rand really know their business!

One of favorite spots to go, every last Tuesday of the month there is a dance/music session jam called Layer Rhythm its magical! You definitely should come check out! I doubt that you will find anything like that somewhere else.

Intimate small low key live music venue hosting really original groups. This place is good if you are really into hearing music from some of the most original artists who you probably wont hear on the radio. Its not about a fancy bar or table service. Its about the music.

Three unforgettable experiences (in reverse chronological order):- Kate Gentile’s and Matt Mitchell’s soothing co-ferocity (SB’s Brooks Headley among the listeners for the openers)- Haldeman’s first solo live performance- a safe jam between pandemic waves that included Brad Mehldau, @vurnt22 , @samchillian, a cool drummer who organized it, and several special guests— the bass player’s name escapes me…I’ll definitely return. Small, intimate spot that curates great live music performances. Also been here for improv dance sessions (featuring creative exchanges between street dancers and live musicians) and heard good house music DJs. Vibe is nice, people are cool and unpretentious. If youre a music lover, I highly recommend this place!

The worst NYE party ever! They charged $40 pp for supposedly live music and surprise musicians but only a boring dj music and about 10-20 people max! When we asked about live performance they said it would start at 1pm -which is way too late for NYE- and didnt happen. Last year was spectacular thats why we decided to come again this year. What a disappointment!

A wonderful live music venue that features new generation musicians, Jazz, R&B, Funk, DJ projects, and record days.

A place that I loved going to during a live concert evening with exceptional singers and musicians and a lively and very friendly audience. I learned that this place was known for live jazz, blues, rnb concerts etc. I tell myself that the New Year there is going to be incredible and Im super excited to take my place. I arrive at the party, and nothing to do with what this club does... I was already hassled at the entrance because I would have taken a place only for the party upstairs (which was another establishment ) even though I had purchased my ticket on the Nublu website… whats more, on Instagram they said that Nublu was the place where there was live music, and Studio 151 (the establishment above) had sushi cocktail etc. So I told myself that it was a New Year’s Eve party that brought together the two organizations.Well no, the security guard tells me that these are indeed two separate evenings…I found myself at the party, a very very young audience, very drunk and rude, with a DJ who didnt mix very well... I had the impression of being in any average club in the city. I was very confused and disappointed and I left immediately ($40 entry anyway). The place already communicates very poorly on its social networks but also visibly does not follow any guidelines on the type of events they organize... I should point out that no information was given anywhere to let it be understood that this evening was going to be as much to differ from the usual evenings…The place is poorly served and there is no metro.

Club with good sound, with an orchestra and live music of choice, it gives the chance to artists. The subdued red light also creates this cozy atmosphere. A good one. Admission 20 usd per person.

They will steal your money from the real thieves it was $22 each but they asked us for $90 in total for 2 people 😤😡

I found out about this place because Joel ROSS, who Im a fan of, follows him, but when I went there five years ago, I never stopped by. I only had a scary image of Alphabet Avenue, but after watching the video it looks interesting.

Nice bar and good musical atmosphere but not jazz contrary to what our guide indicated. Not to be confused with the establishment of the same brand which is located on the same street a few hundred meters away.
