The beer at Megan’s is excellent.I tried the happy hour wheat beer and the IPA and both were excellent. My wife had the cider, which again was brilliant. We didn’t have food, but everything that went past smelt and looked delicious. The guy that served us was efficient, but a bit stand offish/borderline rude, which was the only negative and stopped a five star review and we left after 2 rounds of drinks.
What an amazing experience my family and I had at Megan’s Bar and Kitchen! We stumbled upon this little Irish pub on our walk back from Times Square and I’m so glad we did. From start to finish, our waiter George, was so friendly and attentive. He recommended excellent drinks and was very knowledgeable about all of the different beers. The food is incredible and just what you need after a walk through the city. Everything we ordered was 10/10 and the cozy atmosphere made it that much better. We loved it so much, we got some merchandise and will forever remember our family outing today! Top off your visit with a dessert brownie or Irish cheesecake.. out of this world!
Randomly selected this place, because of its proximity to Grand Central Station, where we were arriving, and the theatre we were going to see a show at. Fully realizing this could be hit or miss, being smack in the middle of midtown and touristy area. It was definitely a hit! And I cant wait to go back! The place inside was a pub, with all the atmosphere that comes with it. My daughter and I were seated right away (it was a Saturday afternoon), and I got a cold beer, while she got a nice Shirley Temple. I noticed a table near us had some phone chargers available for customers, which I thought was a nice touch. We started with delicious Teriyaki Chicken Dumplings. My daughter ordered fish and chips, and I had The Bavarian sandwich (pastrami). Food was fantastic, portions on a large side. As my daughter said, I think I have a whole fish here.Great place, great food, great service...right in the heart of NYC.
Bartender was super chill and attentive. They have 60 beers on tap which is pretty impressive for NYC bars. Liquor options were pretty good as well. Lots of tvs for sporting events to watch. Food menu has some good options on it as well. They have a touch tunes jukebox onsite as well.
Great little establishment. Great atmosphere and ambiance .Visited there with a few coworkers. And great selection of drafted beers.
Unbelievably beautiful pub - sets a new standard. World class Irish taps and food. Look forward to visiting again.
My Sister, Our Boyfriends and I were in Megans’ bar back in March. We had an absolute ball and we were met with such great hospitality. Big thanks especially to The Manager Pauline, The Owner Bernie and The Barman George, who kept our glasses filled. Great craic was had. The atmosphere was a great slice of home. We couldn’t believe our ears, when we heard Midwest radio, on in the back ground. We will surely be back next year for another shot of Whiskey and a plate of curry chips. (The best I have ever had in, Newyork). LEGENDS. Lots of love, Roisin, Aoife, Shane and Gary. UP GALWAY.
Saturday afternoon, and there was tons of seating. Nice beer selection, including some house beers. Husband got chicken pot pie. He loved it. I got the open faced cheese steak. I’d have preferred if the steak was chopped. It did feel a bit like a whole steak on a piece of bread, but it was delicious so, can’t complain. The fries were incredible. Absolutely phenomenal.
I really enjoyed my experience at Megans! Our server was really nice and friendly. She suggested a beer for my flight that I loved and ended up ordering a pint of next. The food was priced right especially for Manhattan. I had the chicken pot pie which was a good size and delicious!! Would definitely recommend.
Perfect place to stop in for a burger and a beer. I’m quite sure it was the owner behind the bar who was also our waiter - service as super! The burger and fries were delicious.
Fantastic place! Went here for lunch as it it is very near my office. Had the split pea soup and a Reuben burger and both were outstanding! Very friendly people and great service. Im definitely going back, and taking friends. Liked the atmosphere here too.
So we randomly chose to stop in here to eat and have a drink or two. We had good food, great drinks, and great service. Our waitress was so busy, but made sure she stayed on top of it. We never needed for anything. It was really busy, but a real chill vibe.
Standard pub fare. OK atmosphere. Great selection of beers. Service was friendly and prompt.
Good bar , good bartenders, lots of comfort food & nice strong drinks. Stay thirsty & hungry my friends😉🍻🍷🍗
Frozen fish? This place disappointed. Service was poor and the fish tasted worse than from the Frozen section at the Kroger. Mushy peas were just flavorless split pea soup. Id give it 1 star if the fries and coleslaw wasnt decent.Chicken nuggets were flat and flavorless.
Walked by, liked the menu at the entrance and came in.Fantastic service. The food tasted good and the place is nice, really well decorated and pleasant.
Food fine, awful service: literally nobody payed attention to our table. Margarita is super sour, not good.
Daniel O’Donnell and Seury took great care of us. The place itself has a great jukebox, fantastic TV’s, awesome food and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
Jack was the best server I’ve ever had in my whole life. I wish I lived here so I could come here everyday..this experience was nothing I’ve ever experienced anywhere in the world.
Amazing food! Great service! Will go back for sure. Had the New York pizza, smoked Gouda mac &cheese and chicken &cheese quesadilla.
Nice bar, spent an hour enjoying a couple of glasses of cider. Great range of draft beers and ciders on tap; 60 in total. Didnt eat on this occasion, but a good place to sit at the bar and relax. Bar staff are friendly 👌 and the bar has a good atmosphere.
First time here! Such a great experience. The service was great and the food was amazing. And to top it off the Guinness was delicious!I love a good Guinness and Im picky about the pour and the flavor. I had the pretzels and the beef stew! So delicious and filling. Our server was very polite and quick. I would definitely recommend coming here weather youre alone or with the whole family! My family and I will definitely be back!
Excellent atmosphere and food. The burger was phenomenal
Great service clean bar good music and sports on TVs vibes were right
Highlight was them having hooks everywhere for your bag, your coat, etc. I swear this was the only place we stopped in NYC that was equipped for jackets and bags in the freezing cold weather. Loved that. The atmosphere was cozy and the pizza was good. Lots of beers on tap. Would definitely return!
We had a lovely breakfast, really enjoyed the food.
Friendly service and good selection of food and beers. Great to find a pub that had Guinness and good pizza. A really nice place to get away from all the noise of NY. Highly recommend.
My new favourite bar in NYC! Great food, drinks and customer service! Love it here, cant wait to return!
Very nice atmosphere. Good food good drink and very nice employees. If you like IPA beer this is the place for you.
Wife and I were looking for a place which served breakfast all day. Since it was the Fourth of July a lot of places were closed. Megan’s serves the Irish breakfast all day. They also have a huge stocked bar and all the Irish beer you can drink.
Food and service were fantastic! Wish we had a place like this out in Houston, TX.
Well what a great pub! Annemarie, Finn, Ross, Callum & Timmy were amazing and made our time so much more enjoyable. We called in to see what it was like after spotting it from the taxi on the way to the hotel and ended up going back every day at some point for Lunch or Dinner (sometimes both) lol. The only criticism I would have is that Pauline (usually the day manager) needs to respect the staff a bit more if she was giving them a telling off all the customers knew about it which completely changes the atmosphere in the bar! There is a time & a place for that. Highly recommend this bar for drink & food. They serve Barrys tea as well which is a great bonusCant wait to return for a visit.
Great pub! Food was delicious and portions were soooo big. Worth it. Amazing selection of beers and great recommendations from the bartender. Not too expensive considering location. Recommend!!
A dim-lit bar with the usual big screens of sports news, Megans is one of those Irish pubs that are sort of iconic of Midtown. I had their steak and they replaced the mash with fries per my request. The beef came topped with caramelized onions, which were much more like jam than other places. It was a welcome surprise to something as classic as steak and potatoes. The fries were good and the fruity beer I got was flavored with blueberry, another welcome surprise. Overall, not a bad place to stop by once in a while. Being on the walk between Herald and Rockefeller, this pub is a bit harder to find amid the many other restaurants on the way, and it can be a bit pricier than other places offering lunch specials. But the food was very good.
Cool place, good vibe and good hamburger. The chicken pot pie was excellent.
Darren was such a good server! Thank you for the great service!
I love this place! I just wanna say thank you to you guys for making it feel like home. Your food is amazing and the most important: your staff is marvelous 👌🏽 always my recommendation for any occasion 🙌🏽
Came here with my wife and 6 year old. The holiday margarita was very generously poured, the pizza was oil free, tasty, and big, and the burger was the best burger Ive had in a long time. 100% recommend!
Not a bad place, big beer selection, plenty of TVs , the food is fairly good, the pizza could be more consistent very hit or miss, I guess depends on whos cooking that day, but overall a decent spot to chill for a cold one.
Friendly service.Great pumpkin ale. Really good drink prices and atmosphere. The cleanest bathroom Ive been in in NYC
Big beer selection, sports on screens. Typical bar atmosphere
Great pub for lunch, the wings, burger and beer was great. Fast service and good food.
The nicest and prettiest bartenders and very professional, Guinness is on point and plant base is kicking, first time having a cauliflower steak.
A lovely bar man and great atmosphere, had chicken burger and fries! Portion was huge but great value for money
One of the best bars Ive been to in a while. The atmosphere just has a cool vibe and I would go here again. The food was delicious and the service was great. The bar is handicap accessible and appropriate for all ages during the day for lunch or early dinner. We went here on Super Bowl Sunday and what I liked the most was we were able to make reservations for the game at the last moment and we did not have to have a minimum food/drink order like several of the other bars.________________✅Weight loss specialist.🔥Impressive Weight Loss. Absolutely fantastic VG food. Luca is super cute and funny. He made our evening 😀 Will definitely be returning!
Wow!! Wasnt sure what to expect. The BEST lobster ravioli & cream sauce!!! Totally delicious!! If I wasnt stuffed Id order another. And according to my friends their steak just melted in their mouth. Affordable. Great music & atmosphere. Would definitely come here again!! Awesomeness is not easy to achieve.
Great place to watch the premier league football games. They also do an amazing Irish breakfast. Staff are always accommodating.
I recommend the Mediterranean salad with shrimp and rocket pie pizza. The atmosphere during the day is great. Not too busy but the attention is fast. They have around 60 types of beers to choose from. Good music, not too loud and we can talk while eat.
60 beers on tap all super cold with very friendly staff. Great Irish pub just off 5th Ave. Does food as well. Worth a visit.
It was our first visit was on a Friday night. Decided to stop as we were passing by looking for anotherrestaurant. We decided to eat outside. The service was good. We loved the flatbread and spinach artichoke dip but the tenders were salty and hard. However, our second visit on Sunday evening was awful! Our ginger ale was delivered in a broken glass. The pizza was tasteless. The guy who took our order commented that we ordered enough food for two days. It felt like he didnt want us inside. He talked to the patrons at the bar as he exercised between the bar opening. The young lady who helped never had an answer for any questions we asked. The service was cold.As much as I loved the flatbread, I would not go back because of the customer service. Spent $80.
We chose it because its very close to our hotel and it turned out be a great choice. Lively place and great staff. The menu is mostly the regular options (plus Irish Stew) but its well done and tasty.
This bar is excellent . The bathroom is clean. The customer service is great. The food is tasty. No complaints here . Def recommend for a quick bite or a couple of drinks.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Fantastic bar!
Irish pub just off 5th Ave with wide range of beers and decent food menu
Nice spot near Grand Central, youll most likely will only bump into it if your randomly walking around. By judging all the customers and myself, we all just randomly stopped by and looked at the menu. Which surprises me, because its just a random street, but gets some great traffic.Double Stacks: As it sounds, its two pizzas stacked. The top layer was pepperoni and the bottom layer was some nice pie es of buffalo chicken. The dough was soft, but lacked in taste~ I would love to see some herbs and spices on the crust or some dipping sauce for the crust served together. This is a perfect size for a date and around $17 dollars. Either way, it was a great pizza overall and would eat it again!Beer: Their standard draft beer. Smooth and good tastes~I recommend it for the pizza! Very good!
Unfortunately our experience at Megan’s wasn’t the best. The wait staff seemed to be only interested chatting with each other over actually checking in with customers. The wait staff was so eager to get us seated so they could scroll on their phones, it was just unprofessional. The food was disappointing, unfortunately the chicken in the “Fat”sandwich and “New Yorker” pizza tasted like it had freezer burn. As well the pizza was extremely burnt on the bottom making the whole thing taste chalky. The only dish I would recommend is the “rocket pie” which was surprisingly tasty. After telling multiple waiters that the food was subpar they did nothing about it, making it seem as if they didn’t care about the customer experience. Megan was a 1/5 for me I was surprised by all the good reviews considering the whole experience was aggressively mediocre. Hopefully others will have a different experience.
Megans is a nice bar to visit for food and drinks. Great atmosphere with a variety of spirits. Our bartender, Ronin, was friendly and attentive. Well go back when we are in town again.
Server/Bartender was very nice and attentive. My son and I were visiting NYC and popped into Megans for breakfast. My son had the pancakes and really enjoyed them. They are thick pancakes and my son who eats a lot couldnt finish the two pancakes. I had two eggs, toast, bacon and potatoes. I ordered my eggs fried over hard and they were perfect. The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
Excellent service! great drink specials and great food. the cobblestone chicken is my favorite. very flavorful and tender! The bartenders treat you like family, and they all have me coming back. George was my first bartender and I always go to him, very nice guy! One of the best spots in midtown, hands down!
With so many places to choose from it can be overwhelming for an out of towner. The outside menu drew us in with the promise of pizza but we opted for the burger wrap special instead. While we had a mix up with our orders, they were corrected and everyone was over the top pleasant and the environment was welcoming and fun.
My coworkers and I went to this bar on 11/15 (evening/night) looking for just a chill place to grab a night cap. We were a large group but ordered either draft, bottles or mixed well drinks, nothing too complex. The bartender was atrocious and he is the reason Im giving this place 1 star. He had a terrible attitude and seemed like he hated his job and hated us for being there. He was yawning behind the bar (very loudly and rudely, not covering his mouth), always appeared annoyed whenever we asked for drinks, and was very condescending when speaking to our group. This is one of the few bars that actually matches the drink to the glass, I asked for a refill for my beer and was brought the wrong beer so I politely asked for the correct one. He gave me a nasty look, rolled his eyes, and proceeded to get me the right drink. Everyone in our group noticed he was rude and unprofessional. A few people were still around at 12:45am and we were told we had to leave since the bar is closed but he never gave us a heads up so it was out of the blue. Its unfortunate because the bar seemed fine but he ruined the experience and we will never return.
Slightly disappointing, if I’m to be honest. Burger was tasty no denying that but it was not “well done” as requested and I had to eat around a cool pink middle. Fries a bit soggy - possibly as a result of the last in a tray? But the beer selection is excellent and staff was very attentive and friendly. I wish I’d sent the burger back.
Jack was honestly the best server in the entire tri state area. Couldn’t recommend more, he deserves a raise and a kiss on the lips
Darren was amazing! Loved our service and food/ drinks here! He made our experience great!!
When we visited last week, they had only been opened a week but you wouldnt have noticed. Service was excellent and food arrived quickly. George the bartender was great as was the young woman bartender but cant remember her name. The food was great especially the Fig Burger. Beware of the Mega pretzel. It is massive and youll need more than 2 people to take it down. The managers stopped by often to check on us which was appreciated. When back in NYC, we will definitely stop in again.
Great Saturday morning breakfast location. Not crowded...pleasant staff. The Irish breakfast special is HUGE! I couldnt finish it. Nor, could my wife finish her breakfast sandwich. We found the coffee...amazing. worth the visit just for the coffee. Quite a nice bar...but too early for that. Highly recommended.
I would provide 0 start if there was an option. My cousin and I stopped at around 11:30am and decided to eat at a different place with the rest of our group due to the way we were treated. We needed to use the restroom and I was in the process of telling my cousin to request a table while I used the restroom, then the bartender started to yelled at us out loud from the distance ( more than 10 feet)and questioning us if we were eating there. Followed by him telling us we first had to make a purchase to use the restroom while other customers stare at us (this is how rude and loud the person was to us). We felt very uncomfortable and decided to call our group and go to a different place. As tourists this experience was very uncomfortable because they made us feel like criminals.
We stopped there as the restaurant is pretty attractive while passing by the street. We actually wanted to go to another place that has been mentioned full and impossible to book in advance that we saw this restaurant and stopped by.We checked the menu and enter to the restaurant as it seemed a good option. They accommodated us quickly on the second salon that they have. The waitress was indifferent about welcoming the new guests and was look like a little bored. We give two starts to the pizza as it was really tasteless and 4 starts to the shrimp pasta.
We didntt search for this place, we just wanted to eat breakfast somewhere, and as we walked by, we saw that they serve breakfast in Irish style. I chose eggs Benedict, my husband ate sunny side up with sausages. It was very delicious. The serving was nice and kind, the place has a cool vibe. One improvement suggestion, it would be easier if they could handle tap payments.
A massive selection of beers on tap. An amazing breakfast. Lunch or dinner? BEST NYC PIZZA. Yes. Thats it. Deal with it.
Great staff and service! I wanted to eat something different and the special chicken sandwich was the way to go! It was done so perfectly. Also this bar is not pricey at all so it was a great decision of mine to walk in. I will definitely go back
Had a great couple of nights here, whilst travelling through NY on business. The team behind the bar are excellent and the bar has a great online jukebox, which I abused.Great spot.
A cozy bar with an authentic look and feel. The service was very courteous - we felt at home right after our first visit. The menu offers a good selection of drinks. The food was delicious. If we ever come back to NY well surely pay them again a visit.
I super recommend this place, I came with my family twice :). Good food, good portions, positive environment, personnel is very kind and polite. I recommend all the menus. The Bavarian is special, good meet everywhere.
Stayed at the hotel next door, popped in for breakfast and dinner. Lovely food, massive portions and staff were lovely!
Understaffed and service very slow and poor. I know they tried their best. The food is overcooked over fried. We had a kitchen sink to share literally it is a small kitchen sink put on the table with fried chicken wings and chicken strips and onion rings and lattice fries but all was over fried and dry. It comes with sauces and its a great novelty of course but the usual unhealthy food you get in america. My husband pizza was burnt and my salmon over cooked as well. The coffee is the worst coffee we have ever had in our life! We asked for a cappuccino and it was watery and tasted like muddy water and then asked for Irish coffees. Again muddy water and the cream was synthetic. Then when we got the bill they had the cheek to add £48 dollars gratuitous. Most of us left our food so not worth paying £78 dollars per couple for a load of over fried unhealthy food with one cocktail each. Wont be returning.
Average food at high prices. Then automatically applied a 20% tip without asking
Great little hole in the wall Irish pub/eatery. Had to order The Meg because it just seemed like the thing to do. It didnt disappoint, service was great. I wish they had few more Irish dishes. The pretzel couldve had some melted butter on it with salt. It wouldve brought out the flavor of the beer cheese. I would recommend Megans for a great place to eat on your way through New York.
Food was good but the pushiness of the staff was too much. It made us feel so uncomfortable the way they watched us to try and usher us out as fast as they could to turn the table, almost as soon as we sat down. They kept hovering and coming over every few minutes to reach over the table and our food to clear items away. Very rude.
Did not eat but the people are amazing there. Highly recommend a nice relaxing atmosphere with great people.
Great food & atmosphere! Loved it!
This place was so good & fast & friendly !! Not from NY but if I ever come back I’m definitely coming back here as well!! Ordered pizzas & chicken tenders , beers& pop! All excellent !
60 beers on tap. Lovely bar staff. Food is excellent bar food. A must go place when visiting New York. Just been back and had another great meal and lovely craft beers. If yoy are in NYC you have to check this place out. Proper Irish hospitality. Bernie thank you for making us feel so welcome. Simon
Came upon this place randomly on our visit to NYC. Returned again before we left because we enjoyed it so much. The spinach and artichoke dip is divine! If youre there when there is pumpkin beer highly recommend. Staff super friendly and helpful- special shout out to Ian who was great fun and the hostess from Meath who just started there (we didnt get your name, sorry, but keep up the great work! 😊)
7 lads from Liverpool recently spent 7 days in New York and used this place as a base every night. Great location. 5 minutes from Roosevelt hotel where we stayed. We cant recommend place highly enough. Excellent staff, venue, beer and food.
Absolutely worst bar experience I’ve had ina while. Went in on Xmas eve, Woman bartender was extremely rude as soon as I entered with a few others. Gave us an attitude and basically ignored us so we ended up leaving after the first round of drinks. Nice looking bar inside too bad we didn’t get to stay.
Pretty good place to eat prior to a show. Drinks were pretty good. Prices were average for that area of NYC. Wife had a turkey club sandwich and I had the chicken pot pie.
Okay beers at an okay price, selection of own brands a bit bland, Shandys aight
Amazing place, owners and staff so friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Loved it❤️
Great spot off 5th Ave and 45th close to Rockefeller Center.Amazing pizza and really good beer selection.Super affordable, $38 for two of us before tip
Stopped by when walking around the city and looking for the next spot to grab a drink. We got 3 beers and none were enjoyable. All tasted old or like the lines werent clean.
Its a scandal! The best pizza I had in a Long Long time!I had to come back for more! And the beer was awsome too (Megs pils).
Have a very fine breakfast served by friendly staff in a typical NYC irish bar. Manager moved tables to seat our party, nothing was too much trouble.
We heard about the famous ‘Megan’s pub /restaurant’ on Midwest Radio from our kitchen in Castlebar,Mayo ,Ireland & had to visit when we came to NYC! Fish &Chips were gorgeous with mushy peas/coleslaw ( big enough for 2 to share!) and pints were refreshing!!! The star of the show was the lovely Pauline from Roscommon who welcomed us with her warm, genuine, caring Irish arms. She was so friendly ,chatty and kind to us & we discussed how pleasant her demeanour was that we will definitely return to the fabulous Megan’s pub! Bartender from Donegal was equally as friendly & engaging- a great spot and were soo glad we found it! Thank you!
Didnt eat here but drinks and sports viewing were at awesome time!
Went here right before a concert to grab a quick bite to eat. We got the veggie pizza with crabmeat cake. It was really great but the service is really slow
Walked by this place on my way to Time Sq and since we were starving we went in. Very nice ambiance and were seated right away for a family of 5 (one being a 6 yr old). The service was fast and friendly. Bartender knew his way around the bar as he gave my husband great beer and whiskey recommendations and made a delicious mojito. They have nice options for kids menu and regular menu. Burgers were delicious and my son got the irish beef stew and finished every bite. They also have a bathroom for customers only which were very clean.
Great discovery, not your typical pub. The food is actually delicious. We met Sean, he was very friendly and attentive. Weve been back a couple of times since then.
Everything was great! Despite being Thanksgiving and immediately post-Macys parade we were able to find a table and our service and food was 10/10.
Great food, great beer, great staff, that is all you need to know. Enjoy.
They were the only place that would let me use the bathroom before my parade. 5 stars just for that!
My wife’s Irish eyes are smiling! This unpretentious Irish bar is an absolute treat! If you find yourself in midtown and looking for a wicked awesome place for a drink, meal, and a good time make Megan’s your stop! Cheers!
Great midtown bar for pubFood and sports. Extensive menu!
Great, attentive staff, classic Irish pub vibe and diverse menu. Food was tasty, we had the pork belly starter, chicken tenders, pizzas, and margaritas, yummy!
Wonderful Breakfast! It definitely worst the money.
Delicious food and great drinks! We had a great time having dinner and drinks here over the weekend while traveling to NY. We will definitely be back next time we visit the city!
Me and my friend had pork and steak perspectively....A few very tasty beers, an extremely kind and patient waitress ( irish i think). It has a double decker bar, one upstairs and one downstairs...the bar upstairs had a heap of T.Vs on the wall for watching anything...football, baseball, tennis, croquet, horse racing, cake bake offs,...check your local tv guide for correct times.
Excellent service...fish n chips, fabulous!
Very tasty and great service. We payed $30.00!for both of these croissants and one apple juice.
Great bar , good food and a huge selection of drinks.Trevor from Clara , Co. Offaly made my day - a splendid guy all round , we had a great chat covering a myriad of sports
Guinness was a bit off. Generally an OK place for a late night drink.
True anerican bar with a great selection of food and beers! Recommend the chicken tenders and Megs Beer
Had a late night dinner & drinks here with friends. Relaxed atmosphere, great service, excellent food & good prices. LOVED the Irish Pie which was a pizza.....highly recommend the place & menu.
Food was delicious waiter even had an Irish accent coffee was so good couldnt stop drinking it everything I ate I wish there was more of it when it was finished so portions could have been a little bigger but absolutely adorable little restaurant
Best bar in nyc. Hands down. Management remembers the regulars, the bartenders ROCK.Highly reccomend 😊
Megan’s is must try in NYC... fantastic beer selection... menu is appealing to just about any persons palate!!!Brick oven pizza!!! The best ever!
Decent bar food and not overpriced. Has all day Happy Hour on certain drinks.
Hahaha just a strange, semi quiet vibe. Its Irish bar with a lot going on. Prices are very fair for NYC, and the food is good.
Great atmosphere, shortrib burger was delicious. Ailbhe (Irish waitress) was awesome and fun to talk to! Will be back again!
Drinks are mediocre, bartender was extremely rude, and very over priced. I don’t get the hype about this place.
Great place lively atmosphere we stayed at the rosevelt hotel so just down the road and couldnt believe the size of the breakfast kept us going for the day 😋😋 delicious ..
Staff are lovely and friendly and made me feel like I was back home the food is to die for! It’s the best Irish bar I have been to in nyc 😄
Lovely food, and a great selection of beers. You can also buy a flight of small beers, which is a great way of trying several!
Great burgers ! A lot of beer from tap , but a bit expensive .
Wow, this place was amazing. Great food warm and welcoming staff, just an awesome find on a walk searching for a place to rest, eat, and have a drink.
Great fun there lovely pint of Guinness and friendly staff
Watched the Euro finals here and it was awesome! Our server was super friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced (and cleverly named!). Guinness and cider were also on point 👌.
The BLT pizza was exceptional. Service was quick and friendly. They have an outdoor patio.
Delicious food, great beer selection, and super-friendly staff, Megans is a great spot. My wife and I stopped in because we share a name, but we kept coming back because we were treated like real family.
Awesome place, delicious food, and exceptional service. Fiona served us and was very happy to have a chat. Highly recommend.
Delicious lunch and fast, friendly service! We had a group of 7 and everyone loved their food.
Avoid if you can, there a reason they dont show prices on the menu they charege a lot 8 dollars for a half pint of beer(joke), and adding 20% to the bill ( no choice in the total) for no service at all , joke of a pub / restaurant much better around
Good food. Good beer. They lose a star for playing nothing but Springsteen. I thought this was Megans Bar, not the Bosss.
Great service staff. Great prices and wonderful atmosphere! All day happy hours, $8 for a pint / sliceFantastic draught selection. Very near stressful spots.Highly recommend!
Good food, staff & atmosphere! We had the chicken pot pie and chicken fingers with french onion soup - delicious!
Excellent attention, nice atmosphere. Knowledgeable bartender.
Nice location where i had a nice quick dinner!
Drank here most days of the 5 in NY after we found it. Cheapest and best beer in NY. Lots of different ales and lagers.
Sister bar to Sean’s and they have the classic Irish fare. It’s dark, but not divey. A good place for lunch or after dinner drinks.
Had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious, and the service provided by waiter Luca was exceptional. The Funniest food explanation have ever heard
Nice place to have drinks. We was in the outside patio - and it was fine. Not too expensive.
As a former exchange Student in Ireland, I have to admit, that I had the tastiest Guinness in this Pub in NYC. Nearly the same taste as in Ireland.
Nice food and good service, reasonable (for New York) priced beer too which was also good with a large selection.
Great beer selection with some great food. Find Callum and sit at his bar, great guy who treats you right.
Great neighborhood-pub vibe. Wonderful staff. The owner, Bernie, is a gentleman and great host.
Great food and greater service! The hunters cheesesteak sandwich and fries are absolutely amazing.
Breakfast was so nice....Friendly staff ..We went back the following day as we was so impressed
The bartender was amazing! Food and drinks were also very tasty.
Good food, good service, great beer & a very good atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit
Unpretentious pub with better than expected food, good house beers on tap, at reasonable prices
Damn good food, and a great atmosphere.Friendly and to the point.
Huge selection of beers (60 on the tap), friendly staff and nice atmosphere (especially during weekend).
Typical Irish Pub, nothing special. Bartender was nice and attentive. The reason for only two stars is the price. One draft beer and one vodka & soda was $22.50 PLUS tip! Even in NYC this is offensive. Total rip-off
Got 3 beers and 2 of them tasted like they came from a dirty line.
Family of 4 stopped because wanted a break from walking on very cold night. Bartender was very friendly. Had Irish Cream cheesecake - delicious! We will definitely go back for dinner next time we are in NYC.
Very good. Great selection of food an drink and well prepared. Great service.
Had a great time here, although it was short lived simply because the drinks were a bit too expensive for us since we were trying to have several rounds. It was a fun time though, definitely was worth the time we spent there. Would go back after pregaming a bit to save money.
Nice basic restaurant. Interesting liquor selection.
Good bar near Grand Central Station! Calm atmosphere. Good pizza. Good nachos.
Great pretzel!! Tasty Margheritas!!Very friendly staff and atmosphere!a
Nice restaurant/bar...staff were lovely and the food was good..worth a visit...
Awesome. Fun. Friendly. Great beer. Lots of TVs. Great time at the bar.
Came in with my daughter for a drink and to get some wings. Seated quickly and the hostess was friendly. Service was efficient but we didnt feel rushed. Wings were solid...I would say above average.A few TVs had games on. Tasty house beers. I really couldnt ask for more. Prices are reasonable....house beers are 7 bucks. Hard to beat that.Drink up and enjoy your night in this cool, clean and tasty spot. Well done, Megans.
Great spot. Awesome service. Awesome beer. Attentive service. Fair prices
Not opened when they say they are. Don’t come here late.
Very friendly excellent food brilliant atmosphere. Very good value for money
Great fish and chips with Magners on tap! Friendly staff.
Nice wide selection of craft beers if youre looking for a few American brews.
Great service. Learn something new and tried blood pudding for the first time. Thank you. Slainte
Irish breakfast was tasty
The fotos was exelent, but Trevos attention esa better. 5 stars, if i could i would give more stars.
They automatically added gratuity for 2 of us sitting in the bar and when i asked they said it’s December and you are a tourist. Though i am a local and showed my ID he asked me to wait and talk to other person.Anyways I feel unfair they tried to loot money from other tourists this way.Worst ever experience in newyork.
Not bad food. Good beer selection.
My family and I went here for breakfast. My daughter had the pancakes, my son hadthe B.E.C sandwich, I had the croissant sandwich and my husband had the omelette. All of the food was delicious and freshly made. It was the perfect place to eat. I would highly recommend it. If we are ever in NY we will definitely go again.
Watched the england game, proper irish pub fantastic staff , loved it in here, cider was good,
We (6 people), at happy hour on a wednesday without a reservation, were placed upstairs upon arrival. all we ordered were drinks and a snack of chips and dip. we were given the check with a 20% gratuity already added to our total… It was unbeknownst to us so we added a 20% tip on and didn’t realize till after getting the receipt back that we had tipped a total of 40%… suuuuuper sneaky if you ask me. beware of that when coming here just so the same thing doesn’t happen to you. we had a nice time but this left a little bit of a sour taste.
Waitress was pleasant....atmosphere nice....well b back...
Met a friend for a quick drink. We got a spot at the bar and enjoyed our drink and conversation. Was not too loud which was great so we could talk. Would spend more time there next time.
Service, Food, and Atmosphere was great. Would return.
Great place! We were just wandering around looking foe a sidewalk seat for a drink and eats where we could watch the world go by; found it! Great eats and great service! Trevor is a great server and recommended some good food. We had the huntsman steak sandwich and Rocket pizza, both amazing! Great choices. And if you want to rank a place on their fries they were hot and crispy too. Highly recommended and thanks Trevor!
Tasty brick oven pizza and good local beers.
Really good food and open late in nyc so what could be better
Stopped on our way to a show. Great food. Outstanding service. Really good experience. Biggest pretzel I have ever seen
Our go to bar .loved the place. great barman and fab atmosphere
I liked the pizza The New Yorker very much!
Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. Wait staff attentive and friendly.
Went to this place and it took very long to get served. So long new people say next to us and left because they never got served. As not impressed.
Nice people but would not remove smokers from outside eating area. There are no amoking signs everywhere but after staff told smokers it was not allowed for a third time we left. The party was obnoxious, loud and smoking in the public eating area. They should have been told to leave the premiaes.
The bartender was amazing and so friendly .. will go back again.!!
Walked inside in search of a good breakfast. Instead, we found a great breakfast!!
Very good food
Top place to stop for food and drink as you are out and about. Recommended
Had great food and great service. I wish we had found it earlier
Friendly staff, good food and drinks, would happily revisit
This was a short walk from our hotel so we ended up having breakfast here twice on our trip. Both times were delicious and the prices weren’t bad. Service was super friendly! We were going to do dinner here one but they were packed. Next time!
Very welcoming bar with a great atmosphere. Plenty to choose from in terms of drinks and always accommodates sports enthusiasts! Didnt dine in but from what a saw the food looked good too... Worth a visit or three!
Fairly strong vibe of a restaurant at the start of a Kitchen Nightmares episode. Why are there so many items on the menu? Why does my chowder have crumbed seafood in it that turned into mush?
Excellent service and food. Great place and atmosphere
