Loreley Beer Garden has a great ambiance, but the experience was a mix. The garlic shrimp and beef skewers appetizers were excellent, though the entrées were disappointing. The beer was good, but the Christmas drinks were overpriced and underwhelming. Service was average and could be better. Overall, a decent spot, but with room for improvement.
The overall vibe of the place was pretty on par for Oktoberfest. There was this really neat pumpkin beer that you could drink straight out of a pumpkin, which is kind of gimmicky, but it was pretty cool. There is an inside and an outside garden. It was really busy but despite that the service was pretty good.
Cozy place to enjoy of the holiday season while having a hot chocolate or other drinks served in a very cute and Christmasy way. Food is awesome and the price is very reasonable. Has indoor seats and a backyard where the decor changes as per the upcoming celebration!
A fun night in a LES beer garden. We sat outside in the back, really the only place to be, and not gonna lie, people were getting hammered on the FABULOUS pumpkin ale (served out of a real pumpkin!) so it got pretty loud with the yelling and laughter bouncing off the walls. But everyone was having a good time! The three-warm-pretzels appetizer was delicious, best pretzels in a German resto that Ive had in NY. Portions were large, food overall was very good, the waitress was professional and nice, we would definitely go back. A great place to bring out- of-town visitors!
This place wasn’t the best brunch I’ve ever had but it was still pretty good! The outdoor patio is decorated really nicely for autumn and their oktoberfest / autumnal brews were tasty! I’d say to try their side of potato salad as that was the highlight of my meal. Also big pretzel is great for sharing ! My friend liked the potato soup.
The food was amazing. The Christmas vibe of the place was really nice. I would go here again since they do seasonal events .
The ambience here is absolutely beautiful. Brandon was my server and he provided excellent customer service. He made sure that we were taking care of. I didnt have the food, but it looks absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend people coming back here.
I would give service worse but the female waiter saved the overall experience. I booked an 8 top for my family the weekend before Christmas for a fun city day. Waiter greeted us quickly, got drinks and apps quickly but then the waiter completely disappeared, still didn’t see him while leaving. 40 mins passed by and never saw our waiter again, asked the lady giving us water where he went and she said we could help you. Then service picked up but still never got an explanation where our waiter went. Food was good though, ambience was nice for Christmas but still don’t know what happened to our waiter…
This place has managed itself real well over the years and continues to deliver better food, drinks, and atmosphere.
The autumn/fall decoration was good, the drinks were delicious and the food was great, the only thing is that if you have a big appetite dont order the sirloin because the steak is very small and pricey but its delicious. There are good promotions everyday (at least for this season, idk the rest of the year). For 2 people ordering food and drinks you can spend more than $200 (that was my case) but of course you can see the affordable options from the menu, not everything is expensive.
We came in on a very busy afternoon with a group of 7, and the kindness & professionalism of the staff blew us away! Very accommodating and took great care of our group. The soft pretzels & mulled wine were amazing!
BAR REVIEW ONLY. Came here Sunday evening for a drink and to check out their holiday decor—it was really pretty! There’s tons of Christmas decoration throughout the bar. My friend and I each ordered a drink—Strawberry Frosé ($20) and Peppermint Nitro Martini ($22)—a bit expensive for drinks that weren’t really that good. The place is definitely photo worthy and great for pictures.
So I have come here twice within the past month. The first time all of the fall decorations were up and then when I got there for my party, all of the Christmas decor was up. Made my heart super happy. I came for my birthday and we so much fun. Threw on the music, dance a little, ordered food and drinks. It was great and would definitely recommend.
Cute Christmas decos but otherwise disappointing. They were literally out of the 4 dishes I asked about, which left only 1 vegetarian option (potato pancakes, pasta, fried eggplant, nachos), so I ended up not eating here. The hot chocolate was fine but was not worth the full $25 price.
What a find! The nicest bartender, a fantastic Christmas vibe, and a great place to spend the night!
This weekend my family came up to visit and we walked to the Loreley beer garden. Definitely get a pitcher of beer to share as well as a bunch of different apps.We ordered the wings, nachos, pretzel garlic knots, and burger sliders. Everything was extremely delicious and it was a nice way to spend the afternoon in NYC!
Went here after work for their holiday pop up! It was really cute with the decorations and themed drinks. I discovered the spot on instagram and was instantly pulled in by their photographed black&white spiked hot chocolate and spiked eggnog. I’m a HUGE eggnog fan and that was my absolute favorite drink there. The b&w hot chocolate wasn’t exactly as I imagined but I would still rate it a good drink to get. My friend ordered the spiked cider, mulled wine, and peppermint espresso martini. Of course, I had to try those as well! The spiked cider was great as I already would’ve imagined. It was my first time trying mulled wine and absolutely loved it! I’m a huge espresso martini person but the peppermint wasn’t my personal favorite. The guac and chips were phenomenal - don’t skip this! Overall, Loreley’s was a cool spot and I plan to go back to check out their regular menu. Thank you for the great time!
Food & drinks: 4Staff: 5Environment: 5Interesting German inspired beer garden in lower Manhattan! The sausages and drinks were great, though pricy. The staff was super friendly and they had great interior and exterior decor! They have dividers outdoors to separate different parties for Covid safety, though I think more heaters can be added since it can get pretty cold and the food and drinks cool just as quickly.
So I read somewhere that this was a kid-friendly place. This was my lesson in not believing everything people online say. We got there and when I saw the guy checking IDs at the door I said oh man, are we in the wrong place? Since we didnt have reservations, we got a table outside in the heated and enclosed little patio, which was definitely the way to go with kids. Inside was full of very young, very drunk people. We split fries and the adults had beers while the kids had sodas, and we watched a large number of very drunk people stumble in and out (including one super drunk dude leaving to smoke a cigarette and attempting to return through the window (!) around 3pm on a Saturday. More amusing than anything else as I lamented my listening to the Internet. Our server, as well as the others I saw when in line for the restroom, were KILLING it with smiles on their faces in an obviously stressful situation. What I saw of the inside looked very nice all Christmasd up, but the two single bathrooms were already a problem at 3pm, cant imagine what its like later. If you are in your early 20s, this is apparently the place to be, but dont be me and bring your kids!
We were seated outside and were pretty much ignored for the most part. The server took forever to come back and it seemed like a lifetime before we even placed our order. The beer finally arrived and was pretty good. The food was another story. It looked good up front but was just ok, nothing special. Way too expensive for the plain food and service was lackluster. We had to hunt down our server so we could pay the tab. Wish I could’ve loved it.
Nice little bar with pretty good food. Went in there for some Halloween fun; they have very festive drinks and decor which really help with the spooky atmosphere. Would definitely go back again sometime soon.
The waiter with glases forget the Beer. He was really stressed. He gave us the bill. It was like 105$. We want to give him 10$ tip. He says we have to have him 20% tip. Normally it was a suggestion. We have to pay it. The service was not good at all. He didn’t say thank you. After that he was fast gone. The food was not really German, we know that because we are Germans 🙊 the burger has no sauce
Great atmosphere, great service, good drinks, decent food. Nice spot for a date.
I especially love that Loreley has both outdoor, indoor, and a back patio seating, each of which has a different vibe. It’s known for its over the top decorations for each season and speciality seasonal cocktails like the peppermint nitro martini and black and white hot chocolate.I went here for dinner and loved the chicken schnitzel sandwich and the soft baked German pretzels. I would recommend going here with a group of friends rather than a dinner date, as it is a buzzy, lively place rather than intimate. I’m looking forward to sipping a beer on the back patio in the spring and checking out the freshly baked cinnamon rolls for brunch!Secret Tip: You can add on a note to your Resy to preference where you want to sit!
It was a pretty nice place. Like many others, I was drawn here by the social media attention it’s gained. The food was good. The signature B&W boozy hot chocolate was the main attraction and was tasty, but overpriced. Would recommend
I have been to loreley beer garden a few times now.It is a nicely decorated place and they change their decor according to the season, which is pretty cool.We went for a friend’s birthday once. This was around dinner time and our friend is vegetarian so it was probably bad choice because they don’t have much to offer for vegetarians. The service was very slow that day and the wait staff didn’t come to ask for our order until most of us were ready to leave for another place. This was in early November weeknight so it wasn’t their busiest season. We did give it another chance and went to get hot chocolate on Christmas Eve. Although I was happy that some place was open on Christmas Eve and kudos to the staff for working that night. However, I didn’t really like the spiked hot chocolate as much. It was lukewarm and since it was quite cold outside, I was hoping for something a little more warm when I excitedly went for the hot chocolate. It also didn’t have a candy cane like I saw in other’s pictures. We also got the pretzel which was also fine.
I was in NYC for a performance and went to this beer garden to support my beautiful, 24 yr old band mate meeting her friends from NYC there and the bouncer at the door ruined my love for NYC. He looked at me with judgment and asked if I was my friends Auntie. Glad my city, Detroit, isnt as ageist like this. If you are over 40, you are not welcome. The bartenders were nice but the comment from the bouncer was mean.
This was me and my friends at time. They only give you the table for one to an hour and a half. Food is not fresh. My friends steak was so small and pricy. She did not like it. My waffle and chicken were not freshly cooked. Drinks were okay. The decoration was nice. I definitely dont recommend this place.
I really enjoyed eating here, the food was great, the service was awesome and it had a great atmosphere. The beer garden in the back was really cool as well. I had the potato soup and the steak skewers which tasted great. Would definitely go back here again
We went here as a group of 12 which also had kids, and while we kept our kids noise levels low our group was all over the place occupying 3 different tables. Thankfully, the place wasnt super busy on a hot Saturday afternoon, and the staff was very kind and accommodative with our chaos! We went here for the beers, of course, but to my surprise, the food here was excellent too. I got the Kale Caesar Salad ($19) which came with a very nice dressing (pre-tossed) and was very tasty. For beers, we stuck to a lager (Spaten) which was very refreshing. They also had a local IPA which was just okay.Noise levels in the inside seating area was on the higher end, but outdoor seating noise level was average. Service was absolutely excellent, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again, as a small group to enjoy their beers!
Right by our hotel so we stopped for a drink. It’s a decent bar / pub but quite average. Friendly and knowledgeable bar tender. However prices are ridiculously high considering it’s not a fancy cocktail bar. We paid $39 for a single bourbon on the rocks and a tequila and tonic. Crazy
Eh....it wasnt what I expected...The FB page and the IG page made it LOOK like it was this whole thing. Its supposed to be a heated outdoor garden, when its actually a tent with the heaters..that they have on the trains. Its small, and tight, so I cleared about three tables with my hips...I moved three times..cause I was just uncomfortable and felt awkward. Could be the full moon..could be me...I felt rushed...the Hurry up and buy spirit was moving, and NYC has this suggested tip THING. They just gone MAKE you GIVE them 20 percent. Like.... Im not tipping more than I tithe, Boo. Fugheeddaboudid. Now...the Coconut Patron Margarita was a HIT. I had steak and eggs and the steak and potatoes were good. That was a set up. For how hard the eggs were.I found out that I dont like Gouda cheese. One star. I shant return. That was a set up for the Shakespeare play that I was cast in...
Lovely beer garden in the back ! We enjoyed the seasonal pumpkin beer for Halloween🎃
Great atmosphere and drinks. Special Boozy Black and white hot chocolate is perfect adult nostalgic drink for the holidays. Spiked eggnog and Bourbon apple cider were also great!
If I could give this place more stars, I would. This place was decorated beautifully for the holidays, including the heated outdoor patio. More importantly, the staff was so very welcoming and friendly, especially our waiter, Gunter. He went above and beyond with his service which truly made our experience amazing! Not only was he a great waiter, he was also attentive, informative, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor! Having him as a waiter was a great experience and it is because of him that this was definitely not my last time here. The food was great and they had a wide variety of things including tacos, burgers, salads, and of course, German dishes. I definitely recommend this place for the atmosphere, service and food.
Great vibe and backyard Biergarten. Fun Germanic menu but theres something for everyone. Nice selection of German beers on draft. I will definitely be back.
Atmosphere was nice, but the service was very slow. And the festive drinks were crazy overpriced. $25 for a spiked hot chocolate isn’t worth it
Nice spot to get together with friends and catch up. They have a downstairs that seemed very popular. Our waiter was amazing and made us the best drinks.
Cute and Cozy thanks to the Holiday Decor ✨
Can’t believe I didn’t know about this place until now! It’s a cute, trendy take on German beer garden. Has a great selection of beers, a pink flower wall in the backyard seating area, and amazing German food! Was pretty busy for a Wednesday night so imagine the weekend gets even more crowded! Definitely a place to check out
Great food, good drinks, nice staff. The waiter Marquiese was great he made sure we were taken care of and made great recommendations
It was super busy Wednesday evening but host happened to have a seat for me in the outdoor area. Every my order was fulfilled very quick, nobody bothered me and when I wanted to change tables, because my friend arrived, staff helped me over.I would come back again.
Great place to take a friend or a date. Good food and drinks. Amazing beer menu! The atmosphere is fantastic for intimate encounters. 10/10 highly recommend.
We Went for brunch on a Friday & drinks wasn’t as strong, food took a while to come out & it wasn’t a lot of people there. We sat in the patio outside in the back & We wished there were some music playing. Great decor & location. Definitely would go back for dinner maybe. My friends had the burger from the brunch menu & it was good
Great food, pleasant environment, cool service, nice and cold drinks—Ill definitely return.
If you’re looking for fun creative drinks and a chill atmosphere STOP and look no more.We sat outside for brunch which was decked out for the holidays ! I order the Boozy black and white hot chocolate, chicken and waffles and a kale Cesar all delectable! Definitely trying to come back for the summer rosè themes!
We loved this place! We went on a Monday night and it had plenty of room for seating. The Christmas decor and ambiance was top notch and the staff was super friendly. We tried their Kolch, giant pretzel with cheese, black forest cake, and the Black and White hot chocolate cocktail (our absolute favorite!!). Everything was delicious. Great place to bring a friend for happy hour.
Always a great beer selection for a biergarten. Along with pretzels, sausages, and tater tots - you cant go wrong!
This is a fantastic place for hanging out with friends with an outdoor seating. They have an outdoor space with complete setup with tanks and fans, even heaters for the colder days. Great services, excellent food, and amazing beers. Yes. Cheers!!!
The chorizo skillet dish I had was heavy but really tasty. The service was great, the beers cold and the place had a nice aesthetic.
Well-decorated/themed bar for Halloween! Really cozy and nice bar staff. We didnt get a chance to go to the beer garten, they didnt say why, the hosts just kind of shooed us to the bar but thats fine. Nitro cold brew martini was great and my fiance enjoyed his Pilsner. The german beer in stein is great. Good crowd, did not try any food just a quick stop and it was fine for that!
Didnt eat, just drank ... which they supplied admirably. Pretty good beer selection. Terrible rum selection.
It was a vybe the atmosphere and surroundings were lovely. The staff very attentive. Definitely try the flamingo drink. I forgot what it was called. But it was delicious. The food we didnt really eat but their salads look bomb their pretzels were yummy. The cheese dip good as well and they have a charcuterie board type fruit and cheese thing. I felt it was a little skimpy for the price but the cheeses were good.
I dont know why anyone would go to any other beer garden. Loreleys is the best. Not only that but he wears the freshest clothes, eats at the chillest restaurants and hangs out with the hottest dudes. yall are pathetic lol
Had an authentic wiener schnitzel which came with a side salad and wonderfully crispy fries. Fun low key place with great beer menu.
Great little spot for cocktails and drinks. The hostess and staff were really friendly and attentive. Busy late night bar.
Very very fun Oktoberfest spot. Delicious sausage plate.
The pretzels with the bacon cheese dip is a must! The frose is tasty and the beer selection is decent .
Beautiful atmosphere! I love plants so I loved having that garden feel. Food was great and drinks were good!
I will leave 4 starts just because of the staff. I really liked drinks and food here but workers seem to be forgetting the orders or mess them a little bit. They brought my entree first and forgot about my appetizer. Things happens but I’m leaving here my experience review.
$18 for a mulled wine… absolute scam but nice staff and cute festive vibe
Went here with coworkers. Its pretty pricey, but everything tasted good, except the old looking strawberry that was on my frose, I picked it off. People working there are very nice, but it can get hard to get attention when it gets busy.
Heated back garden, great beer selection and yummy pretzels. Ordered some apps and server never brought cutlery or napkins. Had to go get them from inside. Had a great time and looking forward to returning soon!
Great beer garden in the LES! I went for their frosé festival (great deals so check their website).Nice big space and great food!Indoor/ outdoor seating
Went to a friends bday party. We had the downstairs room unfortunately I had to go to the upstairs bar for the kostritzer. I also didnt order food although I was really looking forward to some wurst, but that was on me. Would go back to try some and have more kostritzer!
Not really a beer garden. Just a place with a patio in the back that serves Germanic beers and food. Got the Wiener Schnitzel and it was reasonably close to what it should be. I was not able to replace the salad with pickles and was told that the pickles would be free, but when the check came they charged $3. It’s not about the cost, but the experience.

The stars speak for themselves. I absolutely LOVED the atmosphere. It was beautifully decorated with flowers, vines and Christmas themed decorations. The service was good. The food was okay. It was my first time having German Food, it lacked flavor in my opinion. The presentation seemed like a poor mans meal. It was just two boiled sausage, a scoop of potato salad and a side of mustard. I didnt feel like I was eating at a restaurant if that makes any sense. My friend who was with me also didnt like his food and didnt finish it. Im not saying this to be offensive; it is just my perspective.Im not crazy about the cuisine overall. But if thats your thing, def pay a visit. However, I did enjoy this warm red wine on the menu that had clove, cinnamon and other spices. It was really good! I never thought to have warm wine. I personally thought their prices were a bit high. I usually pay $12 for a glass of good wine but this was $18 per glass. You may like it. Check it out.
I really enjoyed hanging out here with friends. My friends were olease with the Frose and Margaritas. Im pregnant so they accommodated with Virginia mojito. I had the pancakes which was fluffy, definitely that buttermilk flavor, the whip cream and fresh fruits were nice. The decor is beautiful. Outdoor is a nice vibe, there were fans and its shaded so it was too hot despite it being a very warm day. Ill be back after baby. The manager also came to apologize for wait on food and brought shots which we appreciate the service and consideration.
I have been to this place 3 times and it’s one of my favorite in the city. I went last summer, during the fall, and yesterday. It has become a place of sentimental value to me. My husband and I got married on Friday so we went here for our first date as a married couple. The food is delicious. Best fish tacos ever and the guacamole makes you want seconds from how fresh it is. The atmosphere is so colorful and upbeat. Instantly puts you in a bubbly mood. The staff always exceeds my expectations by their excellent friendly service. My husband is already talking about going back. Definitely recommend going.
I had an amazing birthday celebration here! The place is so cute they have flower walls and pink flamingos!! The frozen rosé and selection of wines were outstanding. But even more stellar is the top notch service! Special thanks to servers David and Juan Pablo for their excellent service, making the evening even more memorable!
Their website and advertising says Oktoberfest lasts until October 31st but we were there on the 26th and it was over
Nothing over the top. Its a nice beergarten with a decent variety of beers and other drinks. The food was good (some options were out, so at least that means they keep it fresh, I hope) and the service was OK (except for when they had us sit right by the kitchen entrance when the place had most of its tables empty). The outside space is what youll expect from a yard squeezed between NYCs high risers. I personally prefer something with at least some view or an air flow. Will I go again or recommend? If youre in the area or local - yes. Come here specifically - no.Expect Manhattan prices.
10 out of 10 highly recommend! From the hostesses who got us an awesome table outside, to the wait staff to the food to the decor! Will definitely be back when visiting New York!
A really nice outdoor setting for quite drinks or dinner. Very nicely done and attentive servers.
Very cute themes and excellent food! Adam and Chris were great and very accommodating.
Decent beer selection. Ok beer garden. Good &authentic sausages. Soft pretzels sort of dry (stale? Overcooked?).
One of the OG German beer gardens downtown. Perfect for the holidays ! Heat lamps keep it cozy in the outdoor area. The holiday themed cocktails keep you warm! Prost !
Beautiful place very friendly drinks kind of pricey but hey its Manhattan lol and we deserve it
Nice atmosphere, have an outdoor heated tent in the back. Indoors is also roomy. They have a good beer selection and cocktails, try the chocolate milk! Food is on the expensive side but its good.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience due to the unprofessional behavior of one of your servers. I was shocked to overhear the server speaking negatively about my sister after asking a question right in front of me. It was completely inappropriate and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. This lack of professionalism has severely tainted my perception of your establishment, and I will not be returning nor recommending it to others.
A wonderful place to host a large group of friends with no pretentious drink minimums or room rental fees. The manager, I’m blanking on her name, was wonderful—kind, thoughtful and attentive! We had a fantastic experience hosting my husband’s birthday party here and would highly recommend to anyone!
Excellent beer, cool heated outside beer garden (its very small though) and decent food.
Wings and Schnitzel bites were good. Great beer selection. 4 stars coz of super slow service.
The food was very tasty. The spaetzle (small seasoned dough dumplings) was really delicious. The music could have been lower. It was hard to talk at times.
Lovely venue. Great service. Great food! I cant wait to go back!
Great for a date or little Christmas get together!
The food is ok. Not the best drinks, not the worse in NYC. The place is beautiful, great vibe.Something that we didn’t like is that they bring the starters (soup), drinks and food at the same time.
Loved this place! Super chill and cozy. 🍁🍂The Pumpkin Keg is so cute for fall and the smaller size was perfect for two people. The French Onion Soup will having me going back for sure!!!!
Very cute during Christmas! Seated at 6pm on a Thursday with no reservation. Try the eggnog and mulled wine!! Love the holiday menu!
Nice was good service. We were guest at the hotel and had really no clear idea of the closing time..however, 22.30 all doors to the outside was opened - really cold- with the statement we are closed oh well - way too cold to stay anyway.Enjoy.
Amazing staff, attentive and understanding! The location is great, downtown and near all the good stores to shop at.The winter wonderland and drink selection has made me want to stop by everyday!!!
Came in for a few drinks before a show at the Bowery. Great selections of some of my favorite German beers. Decor was fun and colorful. However, they were blasting the air conditioning at the bar so it was cold even for me.
Waited 1 year just to go here in December for the Christmas holiday and I was highly disappointed! The customer service sucks! The waiters inside were very rude! The food was horrible! The drinks were disgusting! I really had high hopes for visiting this place being that I followed them on social media and it was definitely not what it seems to be…
Margaritas were delicious!Sat at their outdoor heated biergarden. Server was incredibly sweet and attentive. The food was also pretty good & service was super fast! Went for an early dinner; would totally love to return for brunch.
Super cute beer garden! Love the Halloween / fall decorations throughout the bar and in the garden. Good beer selection, and the pumpkin keg thing is so fun for fall! Lots of space so good for a larger group
You want to enjoy an October fest experience? Go to this place, such a nice beer garden! A German atmosphere 100%
Great place to go and have a beer, they are having amazing German beers which is a must try and the food is also good, I had the buttermilk chicken which was soft and soo yummy…the cheese board was also so amazing…
Some of the best food Ive ever had.
I had the cutest, coziest, sweetest experience at The Loreley! I had been wanting to go here since I got these targeted Instagram ads for some place cute in the city with a wintery aesthetic and pretty lights. The space is beautiful whether you sit inside or outside but my friends and I picked outside because the flower wall and lights. The outdoor heaters were perfect and you almost forget it is as cold as it is outside of the Loreley. Perfect temperature to still sit outside. The garden outside was toasty and the seats were adorned with a fluffy snow looking cushion- like you’re sitting on snow. Made me feel like a cute little bunny having my drink and my burger. I agree with their description- one of the best burgers the city has to offer! The fries were perfect too. My hot cider was really good too. Adam was the best server we could’ve possibly had that night- he has a kind, radiant energy and even after we were full he gave us a sample of the hot chocolate so we wouldn’t leave without having tried it! He is true sunshine. I am definitely going to come back!
Loud and expensive but worth it. Not a huge beer selection but the few beers they have are pretty good. The food is really good, not the biggest portions but its filling. I would go here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this place! The beers were truly authentic. My only suggestion is to double-check the prices when taking pictures! 🍻📸
Second time I’ve been here and it was great again. Superb customer service, one of the few places that actually have a proper Liter of Guinness from the tap which was great and the French Onion Soup was 🔥
I ordered the wings they were good. And a side of fries loved how crispy and just the right about of salt. But the main reason I was there was for the spiked coffee and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was def better. Coffee cooled down too fast.
Went on two occasions with friends and definitely loved it! We needed to make reservations to ensure seating, although when I went on st Patricks day you didnt get to pick the area to be seated in, inside or outside. On the outside seating which I did before, you dont hear the music that is played inside. They also have heaters which is great. The drinks are pricey, but good! Loved the strawberry froze. Food was great too! Enjoyed my experience both times when I went!
Very cozy restaurant, friendly staff , good food and great German beer.
What a spot!!! Such a beautiful restaurant, definitely brunch vibes. We went on a Sunday and the hostess got us a table! On a Brunch day!!! Food was great but the service is non existent. Our server took our order and we didn’t see him again until he dropped the check, he definitely missed on at least 6 drinks that we couldn’t order because he didn’t ask. Also, when I asked for a Woodchuck he was like… a what?!? At least know what you’re selling. I’d highly suggest to make a reservation. We’re definitely coming back because the food was great!!
Bar gets crazy packed! We sat outside in the front so didnt get the full atmosphere. Pretzel was large and good. Sausages were good. Beer was great. Nachos I could have done without.
I have not been here in person, but I’ve ordered delivery from here. I placed an online order for a case of beer, & they didn’t have a full case of what I was looking for, they gave me what they had of the beer I specified & then a bunch of additional cans to make up for it, with hand picked recommendations & a hand written note. The hand written note got me. In the age of technology, this personalized service doesn’t exist anymore. I don’t even drink beer but I will absolutely be sending clients here in the future. Thanks again Chris for taking care of us!
Could be betterThe place and people are very nice, BUTThe portions are smallThere was a hair on the Schnizel…!The cocktails are crazy expensive, and not worth it honestly
Came here with friends. Service was terrible our waiter left and got neglected the whole time. We didn’t get water until an hour later. No one checked up on us.The waiter who we’ve asked water from was rude and slammed the water on us. The photographer aggressively showed us our pictures on our table by slamming the frames on the table as well. Cute decorations but the staff we encountered here was rude.Do not recommend at all.
Ill start with the good, we were seated immediately, the food was good, and the Christmas decorations were cute. Now for the bad. The music was so loud that I had to yell at the people I came with in order to have a conversation. The server had to ask us to repeat our order, because he couldnt hear us over the music, I do not like having to repeat myself. I wouldnt have had a problem with the volume if it didnt sound like one of the employees put their music on speakerphone, and used a megaphone to amplify it. My friend said it sounded like Weezer was covering every song we heard. Their speakers are all blown out and need to be replaced. Im 100% sure Ive suffered permanent hearing loss after eating here. Also, with all the over the top Christmas decorations, I kind of expected to hear Christmas music. On top of that, the service was atrocious. Our server only came to the table to take our drink order, then our food order after our drinks came. He never checked on us when the food came, and we didnt see him again until he tried to sneak the check onto the table when we were done. We had to yell at him to come back because we needed boxes and the check split. We wouldve bought a four pack of beers to-go if our server hadnt abandoned us, but hey, its the bars loss, not mine. I would not recommend this place if you enjoy being able to hear or if you want good service.
They were out of nearly every vegetarian food (nachos, latkes, spaetzel). The waiter did his best but service was slow. Overall wouldn’t recommend. But decor was cute.
Drinks are bit pricey but it’s NY I get it . The frose was really good. We had the chicken nachos which were decent. The fried ice cream for dessert was a great way to end the night.
Staff was very accommodating for our party. The pretzels are delicious. Had the burger for my entree and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The beer was great and they have quite large boots to drink it from. Ate outdoors, and have no complaints about the experience.
This little gem was trending for its holiday cocktails and cute holiday decor and its as cute as it looks. They had variety of great drinks, wine and beer. We ordered a bunch of things to pick on such as their giant pretzel, cheese dip, avocado, wings and all were delicious. Tried the sausage plate that came with 3 different types of sausage mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. Food was good! The hot apple cider was delicious! And of course had to try the boozy hot chocolate with the delicious marshmallows which was yummy!
Was a very chill vibe with nice back beer garden, the staff was very friendly and checked in with us often. The beer suggestions were fantastic. We were a large group and presented with a single bill when ready to leave after rather than given our own bills which made it difficult to figure out how much each person owes.
Place looks very impressive and upscale. But one thing that I did not like was the menu. I feel like for it’s location and the way it looks menu should definitely be a bit better.Menu was too simple.. feels like I was eating at a fast food place. Also for couples..seating was very uncomfortable not big enough. No place or hangers to hang coats. Imagine eating lunch with so many layers. From the outside it looks like a couples place but it’s not. Anyways place looks nice but menu does not match the location.
Excellent and attentive staff, delicious bet selections and a killer biergarten vibe in a mini location. Absolutely a must visit if you need a taste of Germany while on your next pub crawl.Had both an excellent schwarzbier and dunkel in appropriately large drinking vessels to cap off the evening.
Came here for happy hour/taco Tuesday with some friends. Great beer and food and the beer garden is adorable!
Over hyped, super crowded and noisy to the extent you’ll have to shout to get heard across the table. Ordinary food. Decent beer, but grand Delancey has better… also they force 20% gratuity if you are 6 person party.. overall not worth the price
Went for just quick drinks on Sunday evening, got a table quickly, they have a two hour limit for it. Ordered strawberry froze and Patron Pineapple with fries. The drinks are strong and good quantity but on the expensive side. Good one time visit for the vibe and drinks.
Such a fun spot. The drinks are strong and the pretzel with cheese dip is a must
Wonderfully decorated beer garden in the back. The beer was fresh, and the pretzles hot! They are family friendly till about 10pm, depending on the day. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Service was on point, even on a busy New Years Day. This place is a keeper!
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Server Nick was awesome.
I visited for a night out with my girlfriends. Service is good, but to order anything you have to go to the bar. A bit odd being the bar can get crowded.First round, we order the pumpkin espresso martinis which were good. We then ordered a bottle of wine for the table. It was semi- sweet. We shared the pretzel, tasted like an ordinary pretzel. The wings were good, we ordered Buffalo. I ordered the chicken sandwich. The chicken was a bit dry but the ketchup made it a bit better.Think its better to go for drinks and appetizers.
Great xmas cocktail menu, cute decor
Great place and delish German food!
We came for the beer garden, but in seeing the front windows neon sign margarita beach club we thought - well, we can do the beer garden another time, lets try their margaritas. We order frozen margaritas at the bar (no special atmosphere at the bar, I should note) and receive a 3 oz ish glass which tasted...very average. Checked the price and learned it was an $18 drink. We asked if there was something special about the tequila we should know about and appreciate. No, was the response. The whole experience was so disappointing (to say the least). Definitely the first and last time well go, which is too bad. Really wanted to love the spot.
Food was terrible. Service was very good. The place overall was eh… nothing really German about it other then someGerman beers on tap.
This place was great. My fiancée lived it. We went there to celebrate her bday and she enjoyed every moment of it. I recommend it to anyone.
Delicious! I recommend coming here for brunch, the food & drinks are delicious & tasty. Made a reservation & got seated right away. The service was quick & efficient. Our server was great (don’t remember her name). Overall, great vibe & great food.
Really nice bar 2 eat at and grab a 1LE beer. I came here four meet up with a group of friends. We had a party of over 12 people and ordered a lot of beers as well as food. I ordered a Laura Lee Burger I came with fries as well as nachos with chorizo. My sister got a bratwurst sandwich with fries as well. We both really like the pretzel bun. I would highly recommend trying out some of the food if youre hungry. Or even just coming to grab a few leader or pints of beer. They have two bathrooms one is accessible and they also have two outdoor spaces for dining out. In front of the beer garden is an outdoor dining set up. Is covered and also heated. They offer traditional dining in with partitions between each table. And towards the back of the restaurant they have an outdoor space that is very nice and enjoyable if you would like to eat outside. My only complaint is to bring a sweater or jacket in the summertime, they have the air conditioning on very high. Overall would recommend to stop by and relax with a beer or some bratwurst.
Awesome spot to hang with friends and get drinks. Great for big groups! Def recommend.
Beautiful decor indoors and outdoors! Great brunch and amazing drinks! Had a great time at the rosé festival held in the summer and honestly can’t wait to go back! Staff is also extremely friendly. Sat outside with a friend at a table with two other people but it wasn’t weird. Had a great time!
The food was amazing. The indoor seating was packed, as was the outdoor heated beer garden. We were lucky to get a table! It was so delicious though. Make a reservation if you don’t want to miss out!
Was advertised to me on Instagram and looked like fun so I said why not. The place was beautiful and great for pics but the food and service were mediocre and the frozen rose was nothing special. Overpriced. Idk about anyone else but I wasnt aware that it was also a bar. Place was very crowded. The line for the bathroom was very long. Wouldnt go back. Best thing about the place is the French fries
Stopped for a few beers before dinner in Little Italy, was perfect for what we needed. Short walk to all the restaurants and unique beer selection.
Good food, but very cramped as the place inside is kinda small. It has outdoors seating, but only great when is a warm weather 😆.It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and really busy and noisy and for people that likes that is great, not much for me, I like quite restaurants.
It was fun super crowded they should really strongly suggest reservations for their event. Out waiter was clearly over worked and mixed up one of the orders having my friend wait until everyone was almost done eating to get her correct order. The margaritas are super strong and we didnt get the happy pur discount even though we were there in time. Its a cute spot and we made the best of it so I would still go again.
Great beer, odd service. We ordered beer, then some food. Service was ok, they came by every now and then but not that much so eventually we just asked for a pitcher of water so we could refill it ourselves. The food was surprisingly weird to order because some items on the menu, such as the beer cheese dip, is actually a supplement to any of the other food items, like the pretzel. So when I first ordered it, I asked what it came to dip in and the waiter said “anything you want” so I said ok I’ll do the pretzel. Then I was charged $15 for the pretzel, and then $10 for the dip. So I wish that was more clear. But the food was good, really enjoyed it. Same with the beer.
I loved this place been there 3 times, always liked the food and drinks but this last time we went the hostess was horrible, unorganized, rude and she told us we had a time limit when sitting down... they kept passing to stare at our table to see when we were done and there were available tables...they need new staff to make this place enjoyable again.
Nice atmosphere and good food. Enjoyed the outdoor heated space in the winter. I appreciated the friendly wait staff and courtesy at the bar! Great place to enjoy with friends.
I came here as a impulse decision with my girls and I really loved our experience and our waitress. Her name is Kerri and she was amazing. But before I get into her, the food. We ordered the Chicken Tacos, Lorelay burger, and Sausage Party. All were amazing!!! We also ordered a couple of margaritas, blood orange and strawberry, they were a bit on the sweet side a little but they tasted pretty good especially frozen. (You have the option of frozen or on the rocks w/ or w/o salt.) I got the pumkin beer as well because its October of course and it has a interesting taste but I kinda liked it. Now back to this amazing person named Kerri. We really loved the service she gave to us. Very friendly and helpful with when we had requests and questions. I am planning to come back soon just because of her.
I was incredibly disappointed with the service and food at Loreley. My table ordered an appetizer pretzel and it took 45 mins to arrive!!!! When asked about the pretzel we were told it was delivered to another table! Which is fine, but after that it still took 15 mins to get another pretzel. While my party was sitting at the table our waiter only checked on us one time and that was because we complained to the manager because our time was up. The reason we discussed the time with the manager was because someone in our party ordered a steak medium and the steak arrived well done! The wait staff did take the steak back and offered a side of fries to eat while waiting for a new steak and instead of bringing a side of fries, they brought the same plate back minus the incorrectly cooked steam...which is unacceptable! Ive never had that happen at a restaurant(not even at a fast food chain). When the new steak arrived, it was still not cooked correctly but at this point there was no fixing the issue.I would not recommend this restaurant!
We sat in the beer garden at 10:30pm of Friday night. Got waters delivered. Sat for 15 mins before a different server asked if we were ordered and said yes, told him our order. He said we stop taking orders in 10 minutes. Ok, so we will order the xyz. He said we can’t order. We asked why and he said they take the last drink order in 10 mins. Then he argues with us as to why we cannot order. We were so confused. We asked why we were given water and not told anything about closing at 11? Why did they let us sit for 15 mins? Finally said if he wants our business we can order and he said no so we left! Saved ourselves $30 for one hot chocolate. Really fun and festive but skip in my opinion.
Awesome! Staff very friendly, I went in on Memorial Day. Just cool cozy place to take a date or hang out with friends
Hidden gem!!! This beer garden had an energetic but not overly packed feel to it. The beers were hefty pints and the pretzels were very tasty! I got a massive pretzel with cheese sauce that I’d recommend! Perfect for big groups who want a chill atmosphere!
Went for the rosé brunch with my family. Our host Fernando was AMAZING! He was so attentive and helpful, he came to our table multiple times to make sure we were doing good, and he helped me pick what I wanted to eat! I had the smoke salmon dish which was delicious. Not to mention the decor was so beautiful, we took tons of pics! I will certainly be returning
This place was so cute! The decor was spot on and the pumpkin kegs were such a cute idea for fall. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely come back with more friends.
A bit on the pricey side since it is in the city, and service wasn’t the best.. but the atmosphere and beers were very good. Our party of three sat outside and had three pitchers and two appetizers which came out to about $120. Will definitely come back! Bouncer was a chill dude, and the place was busy, but not overwhelming
Nice night out. Place was cozy, comfortable, and free wifi. Cant go wrong with that.
The food and staff, superb.Atmosphere, warm and inviting. Absolutely loved the bourbon hot cider. Great experience. Will definitely do it again. Highly recommend it.
Really fun venue themed as a German beer hall. They have it seasonally decorated for Christmas, wall to wall. The wait was a little long but there is some room at the bar. We got the sausage sandwich, big pretzel, and french onion soup. All pretty good, but the best part was the reel of kolsch beers. 12 mini cups of beer served all at once.
Lovey place but very packed in the back were we sitting.the benches are good for parties of 6 ~9. However, the nice vibe and atmosphere made up for it. The service was top notch along with the beef sliders and mammoth size large beers. Its one of those places to go for the summer/autumn for a good times with your mates or partner
This place has some of the most delicious German food that I have ever eaten outside of Germany! The beer selection (both bottled and on tap) is incredible, the food is exquisitely delicious, and the beer garden out back (heated in the winter!) Is the absolutely perfect place to relax at the end of a long, hard work day. Every time I leave, I start counting down the days until I can go back.
I went there during their rose festival and I admit the decor is very nice and instagrammable. We sat outside, not in the rose garden, and I thought it was still nice.I got the pretty in pink martini and it was okay. Didnt taste as good as I expected. My husband got a draft beer and he seemed to enjoy it. We also got the guacamole and chips. I was nicely surprised by the guacamole, it was actually fresh, and well seasoned. I also liked the chips, they were crispy and the right amount of salty. The service was average. Even though they were really busy, someone was there to check in on us but just not as frequently. At some point, when the night got busier, our service got worse and I know we wouldve ordered more drinks and food if someone was checking in on us more often.Note: In the bar area, the floors are sticky and it feels like a dingy bar but if youre outside or in the garden its really nice.Instagram Handle: @TheShahLALand
Super fast and amazing service. Food was good. Beers are great. LOVE the outdoor Bier garten.
Its GREAT if its a quiet day and not too crowded. This quickly became a favorite spot to stop by for a drink and a bite. Theres a good beer selection and a soccer game is usually on.However, I tend to hit this place up while Im alone and once winter came and the restaurant got a lot busier things seemed to change and I stopped going unless its dead inside. I stopped going as often because of how dismissive and inattentive the staff were, which is a shame, because the food is good, the beer selection is great and the price is good.
I really love this venue. It’s definitely a warm weather destination. They do have an inside area but I think it’s more exciting and socially engaging to sit on their back patio under the tent at a communal picnic table. The food is really great. The drinks are also fantastic. I think the price point for this bar is reasonable but it is nyc so if you’re visiting keep that in mind. I’ve been here many many times and have yet to have always had a great time!
I have never had a frozay before and this was DELICIOUS! A mix of rose` strawberries and vodka. It was amazing! Outside was super festive and so pretty. We followed the crowd and got a pumpkin keg because, it seemed like the thing to do lol So glad we did because the pumpkin beer was delicious! Full of flavors of Fall. They played fun music and had 2 separate outdoor seating areas as well as inside. Definitely a good time and I recommend this little Gem : )
Awesome place to get great food and drink. Gotta check out the bier garten.
Great atmosphere and a fun interesting beer menu!
Nice place for a great beer and German fare. As of this review, I was able to sit in the outdoor beer garden located in the back. There are heat lamps with fans installed. Hopefully they will remain up for a while longer. A great staff tops it off.
Solid selection of beers. Food has your typical Bavarian type but I’d say it’s more American pub food. Overall solid spot. Outdoor dining in the rear is quite nice. Staff is attentive.
Great service and food vibe!
Came with a large group (11 people) it was okay. A friend picked this spot as he saw this place recommended for a large group. I would not recommend this place for a large group awkward table setup. Food was okay. Service was okay.
I went here for a company event during the summer and it was my first time at a beer garden. Wow, it was such a cute place. We were located in the downstairs area and I loved the intimacy we had and the overall vibe. And the food was BOMB! The pretzels, wings, nachos, everything was soooo good! I would highly recommend coming here.
If you get a seat outside, this place is great. I’ve been here a few times over the years, but most recently went here with some friends and got a seat inside while there was a soccer match playing. It was completely overrun with drunken, loud people. So loud was the table next to us in fact, that we couldn’t hear each other across the table. We ended up leaving before we ordered. I already know the food and drink here are good, but unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy them due to the ambiance. Try this place during off-peak hours.
We placed a reservation for 15 people and requested to sit outside weeks in advance... We knew sitting outside was not guaranteed, but they placed us inside at a table that could fit 11-12 people. They wouldnt accommodate moving us outside no matter how long we waited, so we had folks arrive with nowhere to sit. Recommend going somewhere else for your large group event
Loved it! Decorated beautifully for the holidays - so fun and cheerful! Food was delicious and the drinks were amazing. Perfect brunch spot.
David g had absolutely amazing service. He made the atmosphere so welcoming. This will be my new hang out!!! Also the food was amazing!!!
The only decent thing about this place was the decor. The $100+ pumpkin keg (w pumpkin ipa) is an absolute ripoff, nothing but a ridiculous gimmick for Instagramers. tasted worse than your typical cheap beer. Like pumpkin spice mixed in with chemicals. None of us liked it and we drink pretty much anything and everything. The little pretzel bun sandwiches had indedibly hard buns, the orange hotdogs are worse than $1.50 Costco hotdogs or really any you can get off the street. French onion soup was the equivalent of salty onion mush. But alas people will show up for the vibes.. Only to be disappointed. Its a shame because the place really has potential but its rare that so many things would be off at the same time
This place is GREAT for hanging out with friends and getting a fun, Instagrammable drink, but it is a bit pricey at times. You are definitely paying for the atmosphere more than the food, but the food is also not bad. It’s just good.Festive drinks are an added plus, like the boozy hot cocoa I got. The heated outdoor garden is extremely well heated, I didn’t need to wear a jacket in the 30s which is awesome.Overall a fun time, but don’t expect the best meal of your life.
0 stars if I could. After renting the basement, we were then kicked out as the time for the party was ending. In mayhem we looked for other seating as we scrambled to get out of the way. Thats when I say the hostess Kelly being rude and impractical to our party. Forcing us out of the hallway which was where the bouncer placed us. I can only imagine the prejudice and discrimination going through the hostesses Kellys head to then ask the bouncer remove us from the entire bar. GLAD WE BOUGHT OUT THE BASEMENT. NEVER COMING BACK.
Loreleys my fave brunch spot, their seasonal drinks are always 🤌🤌🤌🤌🤌 and the staff is soo nice 🥺
Went here on a Monday night actually because we were trying to go to Freemans but it was packed. This place ended up being wonderful and definitely a place we will go back. The drinks were fast and a good price (Monday night margaritas at 9$) and the food was very, very good. We had the currywurst, burger, and fish and chips and all of it was fantastic. The best thing we had however was desert, the apfelstrudel which is made in house. Our server, Cynthia, did a fantastic job as well, great service, fast, and friendly. Between the food, drinks, and service, we will definitely be back.
Food was great! Get the unicorn drink and thank me later lol
Had a wonderful experience here! The manager Chris gave us great recommendations (and also a free flight of beer!). Food and drinks were fantastic. Decor was very festive as well!
Loreley is my friends and my go to beer garden. Classic German food and wide selection of beers throughout the year you cant beat. I love that their is always events and specials going on for different holidays. It can get crowded but the wait for a table is never too long. The outside seating area has heat lamps so enjoying a cold beer outside even in the colder weather is a good time.
Very nice selection of Germanic beers and surprisingly good food. Also have some nice rotating taps of various fine ales. I don’t think enough people look to them for dining - good is at least as good as many top-rated tourist traps, and you get a far friendlier and chiller setting.
Great spot for a special event in the downstairs bar. We held a Surfrider Foundation NYC Chapter meeting here and the staff was incredibly accommodating. We had a crowd of 40 and were able to have a presentation on the overhead projector. Upstairs has a large indoor dining room right past the bar as you walk in. In the back, they have a covered (awning) outdoor space. This is a beer garden so you would get what you imagine regarding a beer garden setup, outdoor space with large picnic style seating. Great ambience and friendly staff.
The service, food, and drinks were Phenomenal!! The Garlic knots with the cheese dip and the frozen drinks are AMAZING!! I hear they were trying to remove the garlic knots from the menu and I dont think that is a good idea they were really good!
Nice place for a stopover on your way to Key West!
Great service! Great food! Cant wait to go back!
Excellent place where you can enjoy great food , the best drinks , awesome beers and a cozy and beautiful atmosphere, don’t hesitate on visit this awesome place , we love Loreley!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommendation by New Yorker Tours
Three things to know:This is not the old Lorely. Inferior American made German style beers, warm, dirty draft beer and tacos (?). This is a German spot…I thoughtGerman beer styles made by Germans > American breweries attempting to make German beer. Just serve German beer. Your kolsch, which was always the signature beer here, is not good. In fact it’s really bad. Please bring back gaffel or a reputable German kolschServers are awesome. Only saving grace.
Great food and beer in a classic beer garden setting! Only complaint is they need more heaters outside, but otherwise a great place to come with a group of friends.
Beautiful pub. I was there in St. Patricks week, so I could have a special green beer. The French onion soup was great.
Great food, good beer. Good vibes. Only thing I would say making it 4 stars is that there was no one there except my party of 5 and the staff kept on coming by frequently to ask us to buy more stuff indirectly and we couldnt chill as long as we wanted to. I would understand if it was busier, but there was no one there
Really fun back patio with comfy seating and a trellis wall woven with colorful (fake) flowers. Buzzy scene, large draft and tap beer list. Good cocktails. Nice staff.
Beautiful backyard beer garden! Very warm and comfortable. I felt so safe while also having a great time. Strongly recommend the happy hour specials.
This is an absolutely wonderful place that not only serves great food and Beer (among other things) but also has wonderful service that goes above and beyond for their cliens. We love it here and plan to come long, long time. Thank you!
Loreley Beer Garden is a great place to go with a group of friends. They have really strong drinks and a fun bouncer. The waiters are friendly. Only complaint would be that the entre prices are a little high...I think of it more as a place to drink.
Authentic German beer garden. Excellent selection of a wide array of some of the best German beers in American. Kitchen is delicious with many traditional German dishes to pair with your beer. They offer upscale cocktails while keeping things reasonable with an affordable happy hour, mon -thur. Great place for catching up with friends and meeting new ones
Okay first time here.Granted my husband did not walk with his ID, yet I had a 10 people party and nothing could be done.Fine that’s your process, but when it come to service. Horrible the bouncer/security the hostess the person serving our drinks bad bad BAD .No reason to treat people like that, my friends didn’t like those slushy drinks and I told the server, he took both drinks and brought back one and said that one was on the house yet charged us for drinks my friends did not like or drink AT ALL. Overall will not be going back plus it was a birthday outing for both me and my Pisces sister .Go somewhere else more bars in the area.
The waiters and waitresses are very attentive and remember our favourites without even asking. Great food and beer!
I highly recommend Lorelys for a party! Their downstairs lounge is perfect; private bar, stereo system to plug in your phone and play music; restrooms, etc. Staff was so nice and helpful. Love it!
The place is over rated.Food is super bland. Burgers look good but you can make the same ones at home.Servers look stressed, over worked and non enough staff.Drinks are beyond over priced. They have no crowd control and letting underage people in without being id being showed.
