Extraordinary and original nightclub. Really artistic and original . I had a excellent night . Drinks were not cheap but , this place is about the experience. The roof is just wow and there are comfy couches. Its like a maze in there tho , u get lost. Its fantastic. One of the best nightclubs in nyc. Now the important part. This is a EXCLUSIVE place. Really high class. At the door you SHOULD RSVP. the host is a amazing person , you just have to show respect and be polite. Its like the club studio 54 . A long line and you get ALLOWED OR CHOSEN to go into the club. Be calm and just present you and your friends in a inclusive manner , and the person in charge / security will let you in. Have fun Be safe. I highly recommend this place.
Rooftop has beautiful views!! I do worry about the safety of that hot tub, though… is it chlorinated? How often is it cleaned?I also don’t see any air purifiers in the inside portion which is concerning re: COVID safety….
Bar night club, located on the 28th floor. No entrance fee.We had a very nice experience. VIP line, we didn’t have to wait to get in.Has a small pool, and they offer towels for no fees to use in case you want to dive in, water was warm, good temperature. They sell Crepes on the rooftop area.Decor color modern style, a lot of breathtaking view to take pictures or just enjoy. In doors-super cool disco balls and flashing disco lights and rooftop-outdoors space. It gets Crowded, mostly young people I am guessing 25 to 35 years old.Prices: average price $20 per drink. I’m attaching a few menus.Follow my instagram for more: @viajeReset
It’s my first and last time in this place, the attendant in the black cap, and the one who was next to him not only mistreated me, but humiliated me and my friends!!! They were forcing us to give 20% tip every time we went to order a beer, and every other time we paid the tip, however Im not obliged to give tips to people who dont even look us in the face and treat us bad!! He said something for everyone to hear that we had to give the tip all time we come back to get a drink or beer… he refused to serve us, if this is the kind of service that a place like this offers, I prefer never to set foot here again, as the direction of this place allows employees to act this way with customers, my evaluation is of repudiation
I went for a late night clubbing vibe. No cover which was amazing, gorgeous views from the dance floor and the bathroom, yummy crepes on the rooftop. The bathroom was super nice and orderly. It seems like the demographics depend on who the DJ is for that night. The night I went leaned young and queer. Music was bomb. Lots of dancing. 10/10 honestly
If I could give it less than a 1 I would. My group was there from 8:30 PM until 12:10 AM buying drinks and tipping. Bartender stopped serving my group because my Brazilian friend (who doesn’t understand tip culture in United States) didn’t tip the bartender on a $13 beer. By law, tips are not required. He said he won’t serve us anymore because we didn’t tip. I left 20% tips on every bill I paid for and still got kicked out. What a sad group of bartenders….. terrible experience.
The HONEST truth, this club has great views and is an ok vibe. The hot tub is nasty and I don’t recommend going into it, it’s just in the middle. The music is just repetitive droning house music, ur not here to dance but just “vibe.” Come on days where u don’t have to pay a cover, sometimes they want to charge $100 per person but don’t fall for that scam, that’s just the door people being selective. Here’s the issue, if they weren’t so snobby at the door and tried charging people they felt like, I wouldn’t care. Like it ain’t serious, just let people come in if they wanna spend money end of story. The door people are stuck up period. I’d never pay a cover for here, so many other spots in the city are so much better and the people are way nicer. Never pay a cover, u can come on days when there isn’t one and it’s mediocre. The whole “list” or “event” BS is nonsense btw. Be nice and they’ll let u in without a problem or charging you, but just vain if u ask me.
Rooftop Cocktail Bar on the West Side.We went to see the July 4th fireworks and the view did not disappoint at all! The music was great. A nice spot for night out with girls
Some of the most delicious 😋 crepes in the city 🏙️ of New York! $7 for a sweet one, $9 for savory, and it’s a pure joy 🤩 And you can enjoy it with the most beautiful views on the city skyline! you can see downtown, NJ and Brooklyn from here! Ambience is amazing and the service was fantastic, friendly and fast! I absolutely recommend this place! Also the music 🎶 always chill and relaxing, 70’s vibes! I love it 😍
Must visit!! Amazing experience. Unbelievable views and lots of fireworks
Truly the strangest rooftop yet. The elevator brings you to a huge dark room with a bar and a swimming pool. Almost left without realizing there was another floor, which is nice outdoor space. Pleasant nature sounds in the bathroom. A night of deep contemplation with Giac. Big questions asked, none were answered. ~$17 cocktails
I recently dined at Le Bain, an Asian restaurant that undoubtedly delivers on flavor, but left a dent in my wallet. The culinary journey was a delightThe food is top-notch, the ambiance is inviting, and the service is excellent. For those looking for an occasional indulgence or a special celebration Le Bain fits the bill. But for those on a tight budget, it might be a rare treat rather than a regular haunt.
The place is very well situated! The view is great and the decoration as well! But the drinks are very basic for the price...they don’t serve draft beer, only in cans ($10 each, without tips...but don’t worry the waiter will remind you that point)...and this rooftop is full of young student!
This review is specifically for the rooftop. It’s a decent spot with great food and drinks, but it’s clouded (literally) with cigarette smoke and vaping, not to mind the horribly uncomfortable seating.I had to change chairs because they’re so uncomfortable it was giving me back pain and then one of the staff came over and interrupted my conversation to tell me I needed to swap my chair because it wasn’t “congruent with the appearance of the rest of the chairs at my table.”If I’ve just dropped $100 on drinks and the place is 40% full, don’t hassle me on my chair selection and try to embarrass me.
Contempt is a word which perfectly describes this place. Its an exclusive club, may be on certain days, at least the night we visited. They denied entry based of our demeanor in the queue. Okay, so whats the problem? Its just that it is a place where ppl get validated on their obedience and respect for the club. We didnt except that. We were clearly at a wrong place. Obviously denied entry. Dont go here unless you are ready to accept unwanted judgement.
I wanted to share my experience from Saturday night. The person at the door was incredibly rude, which was surprising and disappointing. As a result, four of us decided to leave and find another place to spend our evening. While I’m not particularly fond of the atmosphere here, I was willing to give it a chance for my friends’ sake. However, after this experience, Im certain I won’t be returning.
Waited in the rain for about an hour for the roof to open at 10pm. it was pride weekend. as a roof goer-the view is amazing and theres both indoor parts and outdoor parts. theres also two dance rooms. the bathroom had a pretty long line. we didnt know any of the music. theres a hot tub inside! and on the 19th floor theres a creperie that opened at 11pm. this place has it all!overall it was a fun time and I would go back. there was no cover charge.
Le Bain was great its a FREE/tips appreciated Mandatory coat check for the safety of your coat! Even though it’s a rooftop it’s enclosed so it gets hot, unless you go to the upper floor where it’s got an opening to go out and experience a view if youd like, but for the most part you would t need your coat 🧥, people get hot take off their coat, and get drunk then leave their coat 🧥🥲 then it gets stolen cuz it’s probably a good coat cuz your brought it to hangout and show off so 😭😭😭 to prevent that it’s a mandatory coat check and I thought that was amazing! But it’s much more the open floor plan and the seating areas and dancing areas it was very cool and the drinks were delicious, New York 🗽 expensive but worth it
Perfect place to enjoy a great view of the NYC skyline. Had a really great time with my friends.
Good view VS. worst customer service — you choose. So, it was my friend’s birthday party. We called them a week before to make a reservation and was only told that they do NOT take any reservation. We walked in and 9 girls were able to get in. But three guy friends were rejected saying it’s only for “invited guests.” We argued that a big group of friends are already up there. This male manager or whoever he was said, “who doesnt make a reservation for a big group? I don’t know where you guys are from (We were a bunch of Asian Americans/Asians). You need to make a reservation.”It was the worst rooftop experience. We calmly explained our situation that we tried to make a reservation prior to the arrival several times. But the guy treated his customer poorly. We would not have stayed there unless other friends were inside already. The view was great. But I don’t think I would go back to this rooftop when there are so many other great rooftops in Manhattan.
This is one of the coolest spots in NYC! The rooftop bar has creepes that are out of this world, and the drinks pour all night! We spent some time here last evening watching the sun set and having the most amazing bartender. Lily serves us perfectly designed drinks. The cool breeze, the sun setting my wife and I enjoyed the wonderful music bit the Bartender Lily made the night even better! We hope to go back next time we are in town. Also not that the level of security was terrific, and we felt safe from walking around the streets. Just a great spot to grab a drink, a view, an awesome breeze, and meet amazing staff members, especially our bartender Lily.
Really good service. I love the place and views. However, too much people and they did not have crepes. Also, downstairs was too hot.Of course I will come again next trip.
We waited close to an hour around 6 pm on a Saturday before we were able to get in. It is worth it once you get up to the rooftop, the views are sick. You can get pitchers of some cocktails and crepes (yes, there is a random crepe stand). It will be hard to find a seat but if you do, you may want to stay for a few hours looking at the view.
One of the best rooftops in Manhattan, but really poor staff at the entrance!!!!You ladies & lads will find this host who is the most unprofessional person i ever met, his manners are horrible also he talk so rude to everyone as if he was more than the othersManagement should do something about it !!!!
Great music ( dj on site) , must reserve to get table and chairs to sit on- if there is no reservation and your sitting there congrats but you will be asked to move. On site bar. Cool graffiti on the walk up. They do have a crepe station there if you want to snack but otherwise there are plenty of areas for food around the block even downstairs is a restaurant.
Worst experience ever for a night club! Believe all the poor reviews because it’s true . We experienced it ourselves. Waited in line for 30 minutes only for them to tell us that 2 out of 3 of us can enter the club even though they let everyone in front of us. Ridiculously sexist, might I add rude as hell. Some photos of the ridiculous people you’ll be dealing with 😂
Active around 12am-2am. ID check. $15 priced drinks. Music varies between genres. Good pictures. Entrance is an elevator up, leaving can take a while because there is only one elevator. There is a rooftop and the regular floor, stairs for the rooftop. Two bathroom areas (very nice). Yes there is the pool and the horse.
My friends and I went to LaBain to celebrate a friends birthday. We went to the bar to order drinks and had the unfortunate pleasure of being served by Ivan. We ordered drinks and my friend placed her card on the bar to pay. Ivan snatched her card, told us to act like weve been somewhere before, and screamed racial slurs at us. It was unclear to us what set him off. He threatened to have us kicked out but after speaking with security and the manager (Manny I believe) it was clear to everyone that we did nothing wrong and Ivan was having some sort of mental breakdown. Very unfortunate, we left shortly after because the way we were treated was unacceptable and disturbing. I hope Ivan seeks the help he desperately needs and is perhaps coached by his manager who made every effort to diffuse the situation. Dont come here unless you want to be accosted for ordering a drink at the bar. All the bad reviews are true.
Wouldn’t recommend, place was suppose to open at 2:00 pm, didn’t until 2:20. Made a bunch of us wait in line in 90F sunny day. Got to the door and then was told no flip flops (this applies to men only apparently) allowed even though there is no mention of a dress code on their website.
Lovely spot, a rooftop bar with an amazing view & nice seatings. We spent the afternoon hours there and enjoyed it very much. You can find a nice spot on the mattress seats and look at the amazing view. Note that the best place is one floor higher, above the jacuzzi bar.
Beautiful venue. Great rooftop but during the winter, no one is outside because they require you to check your coat before you are able to go upstairs. The outdoor area is still open but you’ll be freezing. This seems pretty counterintuitive. Bathroom is beautiful. I recommend everyone to check it out and the workers there are super nice. Bouncers however are very inconsiderate. I called an Uber to go home and was waiting in the entrance area and the bouncers kicked us out knowing that it was below freezing outside because they didn’t want us in their presence.
Not sure why any reviews would be lower than five stars. Access is easy and free. Drinks are well priced for Manhattan rooftops. View is outstanding.
Great rooftop with fantastic views of the city and jersey, club is very nice with a little pool inside and big windows, allowing you to see the whole city while you’re in the club and very nice disco balls on the ceiling highly recommend the Asian doorman at the front is very nice as well, highly recommend this place definitely one of nyc finest rooftop bars I been to
Very good bar / club! The mix was excellent and the crowd was friendly. The place is special: you can take a bath into the swimming pool nearby the dancefloor while enjoying a stunning view across manhattan and the river. Its probably one of the best place to party in New York!(Prices were ok for NY)
It’s a must visit especially when you are new in the city and want to experience the breathtaking NYC view. They have a cover and we tried their pitchers (don’t remember the names). I did notice they don’t have a wide variety for food so it’s better to have drinks here then go have dinner somewhere else. They lack an organized system for seating the guests hence a four/five star.P.S don’t miss out on visiting their restrooms. The view from their is insane too.
Positively surprised! We went there at 6pm on Sunday on a beautiful warm evening. It seems like to be the perfect timing: no wait time to get in there plus perfect viewing point of the sunset. Music was really good, felt just right. We got two Jim Beams with Coke for, I think $24 total. The pool/jacuzzi looked actually clean and very tempting. Very Good NYC rooftop experience overall.
Very bad experience and not recommended if you are planing a birthday party or other occasion. We were few days before there to speak with the manager and make a reservation for 12 people. Then she was very kind and she said it will be $70 minimum per person and the reservation will be only for 3 hours.first of all We were there on time and we waiting minimum 40 minutes the other guests to leave and the table to be clear. After 2 hours they said we have to leave the othoer group of people will come and everyone from the staff was very rude and arrogant. They ruined my birthday. Highly not recommended!!!!
The transgender person trying to be a woman in the front who asks you how many are in your party is INCREDIBLY RUDE. I talked to other people in line they all said that bouncer is ALWAYS yelling at people. This person said “I have limited walk-ins tonight” and then when my group got up there, it was empty. Some gay guy on line was trying to defend the her saying “she’s the one of the most influential people in fashion” then why is she a bouncer lmfao
Outstanding views! Cannot beat this place at sunset. Service was hard at times and overall mood, and people are difficult to interact with.
Love this club!Great views from both floors! Main floor with groovy music and a jacuzzi right under a giant disco ball. ^_^ Top floor is a real open air rooftop with its own bar (smoking allowed).Drinks are strong, stuff very friendly.Lots of great foto opportunities ;-)Easy to get in even on a saturday (before 11pm).
Great hip smart for young people is way overcrowded its tough to get a drink drinks are pretty much a bit overpriced for you get and good luck if you dont tip the bartender
Great views! Great vibes, good drinks. I was only at the rooftop during my time there, loved every bit of it. I recommend for a NYC rooftop experience.
Le Bain is wonderful. I’ve not tried the food so N/A. The drinks are overpriced but you are paying for the ambience, iconic views, and chic clientele. Sundays are a blast and definitely queer. The lines can be long so get your name on a list. Lastly, I’d suggest no big coat unless you want to wait in a horrifically long line at the end of your night. Overall, it’s Le Bain!!! which can be a pain but the fun you had won’t be in vain
Beautiful view! The bar was $, but gorgeous. So much fun 10/10 ⭐
What a gem! 💎My friends took me here for my birthday and I’m sooooo happy! I couldn’t stop wondering:What’s that horse? What’s that hot tub? What’s that crowd?!Why I haven’t been here before?Once you open the door you enter in the dark foggy room with spicy hot music, hot and nice crowd and dispersed rays coming from the disco balls. But then the panoramic view all around you !!! Skyline of downtown, new jersey and Brooklyn… it’s just spectacular!!!Then this plunge or hot tub ( I regret not getting in there) ..!!People know how to party here.At 2 am on Tuesday it’s crowded and vibing to the fullest.I was going to go home after hours of dancing but every next song was so good I just kept postponing leaving again and again!
Went to meet coworkers/friends who were already there and bouncer refused to let me in for no good reason. Very rude. It was 9pm and not busy at all (according to my friends already there). I am staying at the hotel too.I have never experienced such rude behaviour in my lifetime. Will never be going back.
Always a good time - one of the best views in my opinion. During summer days they have a small crepe spot on the roof! Not the best crepes, but still somewhat satisfying haha.
Beautiful place to spend an evening in. If you want a table to sit and chill with friends then reserve. Otherwise hangout and dance in the first floor! So worth it! Highly recommend
Very good views and nice cocktails. Took a little while to be served. I would book a table but the sunset was well worth it
Good sound, good vibe, nice place
I liked it here. Great views of all over... midtown, financial district and jersey city. Great music. Good pours on the drinks. Prices were normal. No complaints. This is what i would expect if i were to go to a roof time club in NYC. No egregious cover. I would return when i was back in the area!
Great rooftop bar with amazing views of Manhattan. We went at around 7pm on a Sunday night and there was no queue but slowly got busier so I’d bare that in mind if you only want one or two casual drinks. Prices were around €15 for a cocktail.
Reserved a table and had to wait in line for an hour. Bouncers were disrespectful and rejected half of our party for “looking too straight”. Don’t come to this place if you want to have fun…
One of my favourite spot to have a night out. Enjoy the openair space upstair. The view is amazing and the music selection is great with the best djs in the city...make sure to check the events!
Cool first time experience. I definitely recommend dressing up in order to get in. Make sure you are 21+ as well. During the day, they play house music and there are lots of cool vibes here.Since I was visiting nyc, I arrived on a weekday and attenddd this rooftop bar around 2pm, which gave me ample time to find an unattended area to chill and drink my cocktail 😀
The place is amazing, the table service is too slow, but friendly
Loved Le Bain! Beautiful city views and super friendly and accommodating staff. Definitely will be returning!
Number one rooftop in NYC in my opinion ⭐️
Great views of lower Manhattan
If you are looking to go here as a last option, still do not go. My friends and I were waiting outside, and they had the audacity to tell us we couldnt eat while in line. They demanded we step out and go to the back of the line. This is by far the worst club Ive ever been to! They make up lame excuses to kick you out of the line and take an eternity to let you in. The bouncer was beyond rude, bombarding us with unnecessary questions. The music is a joke, and the atmosphere is dead. The staff is outrageously disrespectful. Ill never set foot in that place again and would give them negative ratings if Google allowed it!
The place is perfect for brunch with your friends... and the atmosphere is fantastic at night as well.
A Trendy Club with great views on the rooftop, drinks and a dance floor below, a must visit when in NYC!!
Absolutely horrific service at the front door. Don’t expect to get anyone in despite having people staying in the hotel. But beyond that, woman at the front door was astonishingly rude. I was sober the whole night and her demeanor made me think I was on Punk’d. When asked what her name was, she refused to give it. Would not go back, super sketchy.
Awesomeeeee place, amazing view, great music!I’m sorry to hear about the bad experiences other people had here and the “Racism or Classism”discrimination they’ve experienced but I can only talk about my experience here! And I’ve been here twice and I’ve been treated super nice by everyone!.
Good rooftop bar, we just walked in but better to add yourself to the guest list before 6 pm. Waited in a queue to get in for half hour, not bad for NYC standards.
Its hard to judge Le bain on anything because Im super confused about what it actually is.Is it a bar, a club, a creperie (I kid you not!!) or just an ego a hangout? From drinking wine out of a plastic mug, to receiving a literal bottle of water from the shop, no glasses and charging me $10 for the privilege, Le Bain lacks any sort of identity and obviously is going through those difficult teenage years where confusing drinks, random prices and a terrible policy of minimum spend are apparently in right now.Its hyped as a cool DJ and club in a rooftop and its actually a pointless, overpriced, dated bar, riding off the Standard hotels rep.Its the first bar I was sat looking at where to go next while I waited to be served my warm wine... $45 min spend per person is stupid but I guess works when you know most of your customers will be trying to go elsewhere once they are duped into booking here. And again, booking a sunset table, just means, its around sunset, no guarantee youll even see the sun as they sit you in the wind chamber. Please dont waste your time here. Plenty of far better rooftop bars that serve glass wear and play banging tracks. Next time Im here, Im begging this place has moved on and someone has actually done something great with the venue.
I love the place!!! Quite expensive but the it’s worth the view.
My group and I waited in line for quite some time, which is normal on a Saturday night in NYC. However, once the group in front of us got in and it was our turn, the bouncers told us that they are full and will not accept anyone tonight, and that was the last group they were accepting. Our group asked if its okay that we waited until theres an opening, we were willing to wait for a while, the bouncers said no and the line needs to keep moving, since they are absolutely full and are not going to accept anyone in at all. (Which made no sense.) So we asked why they wont just announce it to the whole line behind us that they are not accepting anyone in without reservations, they said we dont have to and when everyone comes up we will say the same thing. Mind you, while this is happening, a person in our group walked down the entire line behind us and asked if anyone had a reservation, no one did. The bouncer started getting aggressive and started yelling at us telling us to never come back here again. Which was really unnecessary considering we only asked a simple question in a calm voice (Question was: If you arent allowing anyone in, why arent you announcing this to everyone behind us? Or are you not announcing this because youre hand picking who gets in?), but at this point it the conversation was escalated by the bouncers, and my group and I felt disrespected and it wasnt even worth giving this place any business. Once we left the line, the group behind us got in, even though they had no reservations. I dont get it.Also I dont understand how this place allows their staff members to vape and blow smoke into guests face. If you wanna vape, fine do it on your break, but I personally dont prefer to have cotton candy smoke blown into my face while Im waiting in the designated area and/or when Im asking a normal question.I remember when this place was at its 4.8/4.9.
Very cool place and crowd. One of the most New York young places of the moment.
Great, my friend ian knows a tons of ppl there, great atmosphere energy, and what a view. Also, there is this mysterious, handsome man who usually has a white suit on, sexy
These wannabees let me in, but not my friends. Upon politely asking, the bouncers were the most unreasonable, racist and rude people I have ever come across in my entire life. Shame on them and the entire establishment! Ruined our graduation night. Never go here.
Went early got to see the sunset views of the financial district and empire state. Nice to take in the sun and views
Fantastic bar space with great views.Bathroom situation is horrendous. Not sure what’s happening here ➡️
Went with a group to celebrate a friend’s birthday, I waited a bit outside before going in to pick up my phone from a friend. The tall woman bouncer refused me entry saying only guests on an invited list were allowed even though the entire group of 15 or so people just entered before me.Then she called my friend dumb and threatened to kick her out for standing around the entry area. Please fire her. The venue is great but this woman bouncer is aggressive, racist, and refusing entry to numerous people for irrational reasons.
Nice vibe, the drinks are really expensive and very watered down. The views are pretty from the place.
Want to experience “clubbing NYC style” this is the place! want to dance and have drinks this is what you are looking for. I have been going out for about 15+ years - If you don’t like to dance they do have seating and bar area but this place is all about the music and dance.Pro tip: you get the most out of this location in the warmer temps when the rooftop is fully operational. The neon lit / black light hallways make for great pictures.
Amazing time, everyone is super friendly with a great vibe! Drinks are great, try the frozen. Lots of beautiful women with plenty to see
An extreemly diverse crowd fills the comfortable, spacious and intimately decorated CLUBAURANT (club by night, restaurant by day).My Saturday night experience was filled with great dance/ house music emerging from an impeccably engineered sound system. The seating area has a breathtaking view of the world below and plenty of room to relaz after a go on the dance floor. This upscale hideaway has no cover, which allows you to enjoy the attentive service of the Cocktail Technicians. I refer to them as such because their mix ology skills are impeccable and never disappointing.Thank you La Bain, for a great night out!
Rude, aggressive, condescending bouncers, especially the tall woman. She was straight up nasty. Horrible club. Wouldn’t go back if it was the last club on earth. The people who own the club clearly have zero business sense because they continue to employ these horrible bouncers despite 50+ bad reviews about them. Would give zero stars if I could.
Love the rooftop bar experience. They have an indoor pool during the summer and an astonishing view of the city skyline!
Really great place for friends visiting to dance with fantastic views on rooftop
We had a reservation at le bain, we left a cool restaurant with a good vibe that we were at for dinner to make our reservation because if we didn’t, we would be charged. We even got a 30 minute reminder text to be there. We got to le bain and were told they were closed for a private party… so that was nice.If you’re going to be closed, don’t let people make reservations.
This is the coolest club in the meat packing district! In the evening its a decent place to have drinks and its more office crowd. However, later in the night, it gets converted to a nightclub/ lounge. Drinks are a bit pricey, but thats expected. Bar staff is very friendly, and a couple of times, I have asked them to surprise me with cocktails, and they didnt disappoint. I feel like this place is all about amazing views or NYC and Jersey City. If you want a better view, head to the rooftop bar.I dont have much experience with the club, but one time I was there, it was a bit stuffy with all people in small space. Also there is a hot tub in the club. I have been there 5-6 times. But I havent seen anyone sitting in the hot tub.On Fri-Sat expect to wait 15-30 minutes in line. Usually there is no cover to enter. The bottom line is come a bit early if you dont like parties or want to avoid too many people. And if you like to party, the lounge converts to disco around 11 pm.
Very polite people. Very good service. Ill come back more often. Beautiful view, indescribable!
Great views. Drinks are pricey for what they are but if there’s a good DJ, it’s worth it. Bathrooms are very clean.
Being one of the only rooftops on the west side below midtown it’s hard to not love their unblocked sunset and downtown views. They have a nice rotation of different theme nights to keep each night interesting and there always is a good turnout.
Amazing and Beautiful views. WOW! I m celebrate my Birhday 44 and the Pride Month with my babies🥰🥳🌈
Amazing view, great vibe, good cocktails which reasonably priced for the place..things go wild as the night progresses .. definitely party it up here. Get in early as the place fills up fast.
LOVE this place. Views are insane and the music is a whole vibe!!
Sent the following email two weeks ago and received no response. Have followed up four times via call, email and message on socials. Nothing.I booked a table at Le Bain last night at 10pm for 8 people. Overall our experience was disappointing. We had a beautiful maître d’ called Vee who met us at the door and took us up to the rooftop. We cannot fault her service, it was top notch. We were handed over to our server for the night, who took our first drink order, brought the drinks and that was all we saw of him in our two hour seating. When we decided our time was up due to the insignificant service, we asked for the cheque. Without showing myself the receipt or returning to our table, he charged my card. I had to go to find him after ten minutes. I had been told by Vee that the card I left originally would not be charged, I left an Australian Visa card knowing this. Unfortunately our server charged this card and I incurred a significant fee of $150 AUD.Booking this experience no where did it say we had to with hold a minimum spend. It was not clearly stated on the booking site. During the time of our experience we received warm champagne, no service and our seats were wet from the previous customers drinks.Excluding Vee and her incredible service, our experience was sub par. It was disappointing to say the least. The amount of money we spent is significant to us as young people travelling. For the amount we have paid, I just cannot justify how this is valid.I look forward to hearing from you to rectify this matter.
Great night club. I’ve been before and the vibe is wonderful. The DJ, however, was not good at all on the Sat night we were there. Maybe we just got a dud. Not talented with mixing or music choice. No one was dancing.
Just no, so many other amazing places to go in NY do not waste your time here. Everyone I came with had bad experience, save yourself the time and the money, go to some other great and memorable location. This is not the place.
The venue setting is awesome and the service was as well. Golden our host took good care of us. Drink prices are reasonable. The DJ was just ok but it was a Tuesday night. The bad was the bathroom lines. So long…
Are there any free clubs offering more than this in the City? Le Bain is great, and I had a great time on both my visits. One should mind what kind of night is going to participate in, and dress and act accordingly. Wonderful view, both from the rooftop and the dancefloor. And music is never disappointing!
Great view and balcony but not for straight people
Great house music and the frosé is DELICIOUS! The bartenders/employees were incredibly friendly and willing to give a variety of recommendations on what my friend and I might like to have. Really beautiful views of the city from the top, just hold on to your hats because it gets windy up there! The bathrooms are really clean, and the downstairs pool area is a nice place to sit and relax for a bit.
If I could’ve post 0 star I would’ve. The girl working at the bathroom on Saturday night with the glasses and a wig throw opened the door while I was at the toilet and threw a drink on my head because she said I took too long on the bathroom and then made fun of me in front of everyone. Got stolen my passeport at that club and staff threatened me to beat me…… zero safe and zero fun. AVOID THAT PLACE!!!
Awful lines to get in on Sunday. Additional wait for coat check and long waits to get bartender’s attention for a drink. The fun ratio does not compensate for the insane amount of wait times. You should strongly think of adopting a ticketing system to prevent this weekly mess. Not a enjoyable experience.
I loved everything about this place; the staff was extremely friendly, the drinks were delicious, the space was spotless, and the views were breathtaking. There is an outdoor rooftop bar/lounge, as well as a nightclub with a hot tub in the center, it wasnt very warm, but it was very nice. This is a must-see for locals and tourists alike! It get pretty windy so I suggest a hair tie and maybe a jacket.
The venue itself is really nice and so is the staff once you get inside. However, the bouncers were really misery inducing. We were so cold we could have puked in the fake line they made outside when hardly anybody was in the actual club. Making up a fake demand for your club when it’s that cold out doesn’t get you brownie points 💕
Pricey, but it’s definitely a scene, day or night. Great views!
I was really tired that night and fell asleep on a couch. The bouncers just woke me up and kicked me out, even though a friend of mine told them that I was with him and that he was going to take care of me. Not only is this extremely dispectful, it potentially puts people in danger as they are left alone on the street even though they just passed out and might need support. I put one star because treating people with respect is more important than any aspect of a nightclub.
Great views on high floor. Nice furniture and dance floor. DJ was ok.
If youve ever seen Succession, this place feels like somewhere that Kendall Roy would do half an episode and embarrass himself. I saw this while on Little Island on a Wednesday night - it was hard to miss because there were lasers shooting out of the top of the building. We crossed the street and found the bouncers who make a big show of deciding if youre cool enough to be there. We took the elevator, and I wont lie - this place is cool. It was a fun place to look around for 20 minutes, but not my scene. With the pool and all I bet it gets wild on a Saturday, but not my scene. Seems a bit of a hang out for try-hards and social climbers. Maybe thats just my tax bracket talking. Worth a check out.
Service was not what I expected. Thought this would be a friendly and sophisticated spot to celebrate a birthday but to be honest, the view is amazing and the rest is so so. The staff were short with the customers, shouting at times and lacking any professionalism. The best guy is in the lift, he was friendly. Go for the views but dont expect a welcoming service that matches the views.
I dont get the hype to be honest. Its good, and thats all.The day I was there the music was basically the same all the time, not a good electronic music selection though.
Fantastic space with excellent views of the city and the Hudson. Great crevice by the bartenders. Workings so hard to serve so many people.
WARNING: STOLEN ITEMS IN PRIVATE CLUB. Stolen Items with no follow through from security. If I could give this place a zero, I would. I went to a hosted event on Thanksgiving night and sat at a table. I was wearing a coat, which I took off and put on the couch I was sitting on. A few moments later, the coat had been grabbed and stolen. I continued to let security know, who said nothing had been turned in and that it was it was my problem. Security then told me to go back to talk to the manager to look at the cameras. When I went back to speak to management, they were completely negligent and rude in trying to help out. Security management was trying to blame me for the coat being stolen by telling me I shouldn’t have brought it, or that I should I have checked it in with coat check. They went back on their word and would not help in any way find the person who stole my property. Instead, they blame patrons and are prepotent with the little authority they have. The whole security and management team need training in proper investigation and hospitality. The quality of this place continues to falter. I suggest you DO NOT dress your best or bring valuables. Be safe. Pure incompetence.
I’ve never been here before so idk if this is normal but there was absolutely no variety in the music. Same “oontz oontz” the whole two hours I was there. The staff at the entrance had a really pretentious attitude for no reason. The venue itself is decent and the view is phenomenal. Comp coat check and no entry fee on this particular night.
Place was super cool! 2 floors make it awesome to choose where you want to hang out with different music options. There is a small jacuzzis/pool in the main room that outlooks over the city. The upper floor is 1/2 outdoors with an amazing view. Drinks were reasonable for the style of place. Staff were friendly and nice. You have to take an elevator up and down to the club, this can be funny. The elevator operator was playing music, on our way down a bunch of us(all strangers) just started singing and laughing, great time :)Will definitely return next time I am in NYC!
Wildly racist, didn’t even try to hide the fact. Everyone in the queue one by one who was Asian was denied entry. Everyone else got in. Never seen such outright racism in my life. Every group with an Asian was denied entry while every other person was let in. 5 groups we saw get denied entry out of at least 15 and guess what the common theme was.
We were repeatedly denied entry after purchasing tickets as a group. The bouncer was on a power trip and extremely rude.
This place is amazing. Panoramic view of the NYC skyline while dancing to house music with a friendly, diverse crowd that came to dance, connect, and enjoy the ambient. Im coming back!
Showed up here going way out of my way to bring my wife here... Showed up within business hours and apparently they dont honor their own business hours. They called themselves closed after 9pm after they deemed it too slow of a night. The only other crappy club experience like LE BAIN I can think of is Zouk in LV. Horrible waste of time if you guys lie about your business hours!!! Never again. Explore other Manhattan/meatpacking district options if you dont want to get screwed over.
The NYC views are AMAZING. The dj, Toni Humphries was great
I have a PhD in Economics and I work on Wall Street. Consider this free advice and dont take it for granted. If you are the OWNER or MANAGER, or whoever is in charge of making sure revenue comes in, know this: your bar is losing millions of dollars a year in potential alcohol sales because of the overly pretentious and totally unnecessary door people. This is especially true on non-busy days, when many a time there is an unnecessary line to get in yet the bar is practically empty.Every minute someone is waiting to get in, it is literally thousands of dollars down the drain, and they are turning away customers for the most ridiculous reasons when they could be spending.Do yourself a favor and fire those low life, pretentious door people who are consistently losing you money.
The staff was disrespectful to our group, they charged more than we consumed. Ive lived in NYC for 10 years and this was the worst place Ive ever been to.
Worst club I’ve been to in nyc. The staff is super rude. Firstly, I escorted some friends outside of the club and the bouncers wanted to kick me out. Then, when I was waiting for my taxi I was pushed outside under the rain. Also, it takes 20 mins to go to the bathroom. I highly recommend going anywhere else.
Horrible, racist, service at the door. We booked our tickets for the night before going and waited THREE HOURS in line only for the very rude staff to scrutinize our real IDs for obviously no reason. They accepted my vertical Texas ID as a white man as real but insisted my friend of Indian descent with a full horizontal New Jersey ID present her passport and passport alone as proof that her valid ID was real. Can’t think of a single reason other than racism for them to do that; maybe some kind of screwed up ego trip idk. The large Italian man at the gate threw a fit and kicked us out when I questioned his motives for this obvious stunt. Realized my credit card went missing after this a few minutes later, and when I came back to ask about it, the staff MOCKED and BERATED me over this and ignored my polite inquiry. I KNOW this is where I dropped it but they most have stolen it out of spite. By far the worst service I’ve ever received after going to hundreds of clubs across the country. Never felt this disrespected in my life. Normally I am the type of patron to give staff the benefit of the doubt and brush it off but these people are bullies and I hate that they get away with consistently arbitrary racist and cruel treatment of guests. Not worth treating them with your business
Loved it here at Le Bain. Rooftop was perfect- great views and spacious. Staff was kind. Despite some bad reviews on the bouncers, they were super respectful, professional, and chatted up with them. Definitely looking forward to going back!
This is the view you will have in the rooftop at night. I love the fact that this place has a separate floor for dancing (which is super cool) and then the rooftop. My only warning is that the drinks are really strong, you might get drunk just with few drinks. Be aware.
Terrible service. Tried this place first day of our vacation and wasn’t aware that our Norwegian debit card didn’t work. Unfortunately I didn’t have cash either. But the bartender was very rude and condescending. She started laughing at us and made a huge deal of it, also telling the others and tried to make fun of us. Very embarrassing and very uncalled fore…
Do not visit - they selectively remove / deny POC constantly. Visited as the only POC in a group, and despite only just entering the club, I was removed without explanation by the bouncers within 15mins of entering - despite doing nothing more than buying a drink and going to the bathroom. They refused to explain why I was removed (and nobody else in my group) and were forceful despite me not resisting.AVOID! There are far better clubs which will treat you with respect.
I arrived there around 10:30PM and they had a line outside but it moved really quickly. Im not sure how they decide which group or couple can get in or not but I guess it is safe to go there with group of girls ;)I went there in the mid April. They close their pool and roof top bar was closed too. You can still go upstairs to see the view. The view was good and drink price was decent (normal rooftop bar price). The only part I really hated was coat check and elevator hall area. The space is so tiny and it is packed with both people coming in and leaving. Plus, coat check person said I cannot bring a bag with me but the person next to me was allowed to bring in even though our bags were same size... No idea what is going on. Guess just go there for view and dont expect anything else lol
The views were the best part, other than that so many reviews mention the same issues that I faced that I just dont feel like typing it again
My friend got drugged here the other night. Girls please be safe. We don’t know who did it/ if it was a bartender or a customer but it doesn’t really matter, just please protect yourself if you’re gonna come here/any bar in general.
One of the best place in Manhattan but they hired the worst workers ever!! Specially by the entrance you will find this unidentified host who has zero professional manners and talk to everyone down! because of course that’s how someone with low self esteem will treat people with Racism and Ignorance, Rudeness!!I went to many night clubs and roof tops around the city but never saw rude behaviour like this!I really advise the owners of this club to get rid of this person and any other staff who does the same!!Because I’m pretty confident that nobody with dignity would come back to this place ever again if I someone tried to treat us disrespectfully!I recorded everything happened and I have a proven record that I could use for my lawsuit when I decide to sue this person!
Great atmosphere. Great vibe. Awesome rooftop. Definitely a must for people to go. But the DJ was not that great. Played the same “techno” music all day. Never switches up to different genre music and doesn’t cater to the audience. Need a DJ that plays diverse music as well.
We went there to celebrate my brother’s birthday but there was a transgendered guy who was soo moody and racism against my brother to not letting him in for NO REASON!! Just like this!! it was so disappointed and unprofessional, definitely I won’t advise any of my Arabs people to come here!! I will tell them to have fun and spend their money somewhere else worthy!🙏
Its OK. You wait for an hour to get it (unless you are a group of girls in very provocative clothes) which is the major downside. Then there is this annoying elevator you have to wait and stuff yourself in with many other people (I wish there were stairs one could use... ). The music and the service are decent, the rooftop and the crepes there are great, the view is amazing of course. The pool does not make any sense, I hope they remove it soon, it smells so strange. Overall, if youre looking for a night of fun dancing, there are better and more-happening spots.
How can you beat beautiful views and people, no cover, with crepes, and a pool next to the dance floor? It was a decadent, opulent experience with decent music, mostly polite well-dressed clientele, excellent security, efficiently run bathrooms and towels for all of those who took a dip. The views are as amazing as all of the reviews state, and I had one of my best party nights when I came here, even though I came by myself.
Spring is in the big Apple and rooftop bars are amazing ways to enjoy the nyc skyline! Le Bain is back in business! The Al Fresco option is fabulous! The indoor seating is well spread out. The food was just ok. The drinks were good. Pricey yes. The service was great. Our server was attentive and helpful but not Overly attentive. I definitely recommend this place before it gets busy again.
Here for the vibes as always. Great dancing and music, the best place to express yourself. Queer friendly space! Besides some of security everyone is lovely.
I go to Lebain regularly for last 4-5 years. Unfortunately after they hired the lady at the door, things got changed. Not a good sales person, not knowing what she is doing either. She goes by her feelings daily and it hurts the business.
Always a great vibe and it has the best view of the city. The deep house music is everything.
Went for VMA after party. The pool was already out. It was super packed in there. The music was decent. I didn’t order drinks or food because it was too late to do so
Bad service, it looks like theyre doing you a favor! I dont recommend it in any way. The guard or chain whatever she is called, it doesnt matter, its a terrible person attending
This place is fun although not super classy. They make you make line outside like any posh club but then you get surprised that they do not have a dress code at all. Which is fine with me. I was visiting NYC last weekend and asked recommendations on fun clubs. We got there at 1am, and I saw that they did not let in large groups. However, a friend of mine told me that everything is easier if go early. But as always, I recommend that groups of guys try to mix with some girls in the line and large groups just divide. About drinks I liked that a glass of prosseco was $12, so not too expensive.
Lots of fun, good music and really nice atmosphere. decor is gorgeous. just way too crowded and over capacity- this was on halloween, but still a bit ridiculous. couldn’t even walk around without shoving.
The most disgusting rude hostess I’ve ever encountered in better in my life. Tall rude woman. Wouldn’t even give her name. Needs to be fired.
One of the bartender is rude. It is the first time in my life to be cursed at by a bartender without even doing anything. Highly not recommended.
Customer service at the front door is terrible the hosts had a attitude at the door with clients coming in & out. Music isn’t that good inside of the club.
Space is off the hook... Spectacular views...deep house music....dwntwn vibe...nice environment to dance and cocktail it
Horrible experience. We had reservations for 6:30 on the rooftop and we ended up waiting in a line for 30 minutes with other people who also hqd reservations. Once we got in, we were seated not on the rooftop, but instead inside in the bar. We ordered the worst cocktail shrimp Ive ever eaten. They were rubbery and tasted off. We both felt sick after, probably from the shrimp.
What a beautiful place to watch a sunset! I went there around 6-7pm and enjoyed an evening of beautiful weather on this amazing rooftop lounge. The lounge has a pool in the middle that is not functional but make you feel like you are on the beach nonetheless. The floor has a grass carpet so you can take your shoes off and enjoy sitting on the lounge chairs with a drink, looking at the view over the river and enjoying the sunset. The drinks are pricy but worth it for the view! Will come back again and again.
Very rude bouncer. Very mean for no reason. They let the half of our group in including me and some came later (the birthday girl). When the birthday group come, they had to call me to pick her because they wouldn’t let them in and I basically tried baby talking to her and beg her to let the birthday girl in. Eventually she lets all of us (10 people) in but she made unnecessary comment that is very rude. The atmosphere is okay. The music is basic. Would not try to come back again
Made a reservation for a large group of people (over 20), and they decided to tell us only 4 hours before our reservation that the kitchen was closed. On the phone, they did not want to accommodate in any way, shape, or form. There are so many other places in manhattan that are better in terms of customer service AND atmosphere. The hype is not worth it.
Rude staff, screaming at people. My friend had a table reservation for his birthday. When we arrived, they asked for a lot more money than what was previously agreed. He showed what was agreed on his reservation and they literally kicked us all out. It ruined his birthday.
Fun place to come for drinks and music when theres an event.
I love this place!! The food and drinks are ALWAYS good 👍🏾
Most of the reviews complain about the bouncers — if they make the “its invite only” excuse, that’s their way of telling you that you didn’t get in. I can’t exactly figure out the perfect way to actually gain entrance as I’ve been denied myself plenty of times as well, but generally, having a group of 1 or 2 gay men + a bunch of beautiful ladies usually works pretty well. Definitely draws a pretty young crowd.
Great view - the worst lines. Jacuzzi Doesn’t look clean. After staying in line for 40 minutes - security said entree is not guaranteed due to capacity. Lack of organization makes it not worth it. But nice views for sure.
Strong drinks, chill vibe, not too many people, great club/lounge hybrid. Beautiful view of the skyline. No cover when I went. The crowd is stylish and open. Would definitely visit again
Great view , good atmosphere and good music !
Nice rooftop with garbage people at the front door! I’ve been there many times, I understand you have selection rules blah blah! But if you aim to be an high class rooftop, do not reject people for no reason, the guys in front of us had 3 valid tickets to get in and they were rejected too.
This was my go to place a few summers ago. The view is absolutely gorgeous especially at night and its lovely sitting outside on the terrace enjoying a drink and chitchatting with the other patrons. The crowd that Le Bain draws (in my experience) is fun, always open to chatting with strangers and understands that you, too, want to take a picture of this incredible city. It is a bit hard to get drinks as the night continues but there are a few bars that you can go to.
Staff at the front was extremely nice and friendly. I wouldn’t pay attention to the racism accusations in other reviews. Plenty of diversity in the crowd and the staff.Incredible view, reasonably priced drinks compared to other rooftop bars, fun atmosphere, and clean bathrooms. Exactly what we were hoping for and more
I so rarely write reviews, so just know how absolutely HORRIBLE my experience was here. I waited with my group of friends (eager to get onto this rooftop) for over AN HOUR in the pouring rain. However, once we got to the front of the line, they denied us entry. Now, I’m not going to accuse anyone of anything, but I have a slight hunch this may be because of racism. We had quite a few POCs in our party. Needless to say, I will never be going there again and recommend any POCs find a more minority-friendly bar.
Beautiful views at the bar, different music each night, drinks aren’t bad. Long line unless you have a table. If you get a table, do the back corner to the left that over looks the water.
One of the cooler bars I’ve been to in New York. Great views (even in the bathroom). Atmosphere and rooftop are really sweet. Haven’t been there during the day yet but hear it’s a must for day drinking.
Ambiance, view and environment is very good..👍
Called the place up and asked about their dress code - specifically if flip flops were allowed. On the phone they’re all “yes our clubs dress code is on the lax side and flip flops are welcome as we have a pool”. I wait an hour in line and get told I can’t come in bc I have flip flops on. I tell them what I was told on the phone and they just said “we wouldn’t say that”. Further more adds “no club in nyc will take you with flip flops on bc it’s a safety hazard” yet all sandals were let in? I walked about 200 feet away. A bouncer at another club spotted me (I didn’t even try to get in) and offered for me to come in and skip the massive line there — flip flops and all. I don’t mind dress codes but don’t tell me one thing then say another…especially in the rude manner in which it was done.
Ok let’s start with the positives: good drinks (strong & tasty) and beautiful view. That’s where it ends. From start to finish this place is a let down. You enter and are left to find the way to the elevator and come up to the bar. Asked for a menu and the bartender says “they should have given you one” - uhh ok? But they didn’t. So then we continue up to the rooftop to our table. Poor table service, no one coming around asking for drinks till the end of the night. Then they started flipping the cushions we were sitting on because it was raining - weird but fine. When we go to leave, the elevator doesn’t come for like 15 - 20 min. It seems like a run down, worn out and mean place. I didn’t feel welcome here at all. They are just riding on their name and view.
One of my favorite rooftop venues in the city, from weekend daytime drinking to late night bar/club atmosphere the real jewel here is the sweeping views of the city. The bathrooms are cool too as they face the city and are floor to ceiling windows. There is also a pool / hot tub in the middle of the dance floor and the Crepe shack on the roof has one of the best assortments of crepes I have ever tasted.
Beautiful rooftop, the system with rezos for rooftop and floor just under is a bit off, ull get kicked out at 930 from rooftop and need a new rezo for 10pm if you want to stay. U cant eat crepes at rooftop w out credit card but they keep ur card hostage until you leave so u cant get the crepe... but the view is worth a visit
Great place, great service at the bar & even at coach check. However, there is a huge problem when a manager upstairs on the rooftop allows a customer (who recently booked a table) and I quote tells me and others randomly, “you need to leave!” I said to the “customer “ I don’t leave from anywhere.” Then the guy with the radio in his ear (who says he’s the manager) proceeded to call security to escort me out because his friend spoke to me and others in a very entitled way. LeBain, I’ve spent more money there than lots of others buying a simple table for the night. I like your diverse crowd, but the entitled attitude your manager and “the customer” (which look like they were friends is extremely appalling.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH BOUNCERS. They treat everybody horribly.LONG TIMES OUTSIDE WAITING FOR ENTRANCE.go somewhere else !!
The lady at the entrance is completely rude and forgot that her only job is to be nice to customers. Speaking on a very rude tone, rolling her eyes together with the security guy, both convinced me never to come again as well as warn every single friend not to come to this place. And she also lied to us...too bad when you have a great place, but the wrong people at the front door. Hire new people who treat customers responsibly :)
Made a reservation for the sunset terrace, but was seated in a closed-off, irrelevant area. To make matters worse, we were informed that there was a mandatory minimum spend of $45 per person. This felt like extortion. The waiter was rude and condescending, who seemed annoyed that we hadnt spent more. We paid $60 per person. This was the most humiliating and manipulative experience of my life.
Always a great vibe for the dance community!
If I could give this place zero I would. The staff was extremely rude when asked simple questions. A group of us came here to celebrate a birthday and in the end the night ended horribly. The stairs and floor was extremely sticking and wet causing falls left and right. (And no, no one was drunk.) The drinks are way over priced and not worth the money. Only plus about this place is the view. Will not recommend this place or go back.
Most of the areas are still under renovation but the view remains impeccable. Cucumber lemonade and frozen rosé are good drink options. But if you want to posh it up, wait for the indoor bars etc to open up again. Otherwise, this area is more for after work drinks vs. fancy date.
This place has a vibe with a beautiful Manhattan/Hudson river/ little island view. It gets really crowded post 8 pm. The drinks are okay and they also don’t serve any kind of food.
Overpriced, Overcrowded, Music too loud, not enough space for dancing!EXACTLY HOW YOU WANT YOUR NIGHT CLUB TO BE!The view is spectacular, Tuesday has been Suzanne Bartsch for 10+ years and Im still going! Thank you to the whole team!
Stunning city view and fun rooftop club. Arrive early or get a table to get in. probably best for small groups and good weather. The indoors gets packed but it’s always FUN.
I would give 0 if I could .. nice view but very poor and bad management.. I was there yesterday. its 2 floors place. I was at the roof, second floor first. I got 2 cocktails and they were OK but not perfect. then I went to downstairs and asked the same cocktail and it was totally different and there was no alcohol in it. Kindly, I asked to bartender to change or add alcohol but he rejected in a very rude way (his name is Koi, I guess, pls do not tip him) I asked him to call the manager. One guy came with a hat, jean etc. very informal dressed guy, I explained the same thing to him but he rejected in a more rude way and he called the bodyguards even though I was so polite.. 2 bodyguards came who are only big guys physically but empty heads.. they were looking for trouble but again I was so polite .. I said to manager to change or refund my money, he said its impossible, it doesnt work like that etc. etc. If i insisted, the bodyguard would attack me, Im sure and I left the place .. Please do not go! expensive for nothing, there is no respect, they want to cheat you, thats all about this place! NYC is full of rooftops, you dont need this crooks! I will ask my journalist friend to write about them on the newspaper too!!
The day they will change their entry policies and facial not worth it recognition and finally the fact that a simple beer 12$ with 15-18% gratuity = 16 $ costs more than an appetizer. Come on, how come liquid with 5% of alcohol costs more than food. Its getting crazier for nothing. People still go there when you have way far better places to go. Dont be a pigeon consumer customer.
Went in a group of 4 on a spring Friday at 4 PM. The place was pretty much filled up but we found a spot for ourselves on the rooftop. The drinks were light (ordered a margarita). The views are pretty good but it gets windy at the top. You might want to keep a jacket and a hair tie handy.
Le Bain is a young trendy rooftop bar with one of the best views of the Hudson River and downtown Manhattan. Note that it can prove challenging to get into later at night, with a velvet rope and sidewalk entrance. Something nobody seems to be talking about is the horrendous bar queue. Prepare to wait 10-15 minutes before making it to the bar for a drink. Overall, the view and crowd seem to make you forget about the queues and it ends up being a great experience.
I was recently here for a party on the rooftop. The view here is amazing, and enjoying it with a freshly made crepe isnt half-bad. The inside is on the small side - the likes of which I can only imagine crowded with people. But for the event with a smaller crowd, it was perfect.
Great bar with breathtaking views and comfortable seating BUT the security threatened to knock me out because I was leaning into the dj Pult to get my a charger. Obviously I asked the Djane before and she allowed me to charge it earlier. So I did at a later point again and he ran up to me screamed at me in front of my friends and threatened me. We spent a lot of money that night and no business should treat customers like that. The other staff members were super nice but if that guy will continue working there I wont spend a dime there ever again.
Incredibly beautiful location with a good case for being the best rooftop bar in the city! Very cold in the winter time on the patio but the view is to die for so get out there! Drinks are understandably expensive.
Good vibes and great views only.
You have to be absolutely crazy to go into the pool here. However tourist galore spot, only come here for private events. Glad they got rid of the cat piss smell after all the years, how are cats even on the roof of this place lol ?! Overall views are tremendous for this iconic elephant of meat packing. Come here dressed to impress lots of people wait to be turned away, looking like grunge and frail. No worries, Irish pub right around the corner for ya folk. Cocktails can be a little on the light side depending whos tending.
Came here for a bottle service experience and that’s what we got, especially being well taken care of by Vee and Brandon. Prices are high but you’re paying for the views, especially since there are two floors, one with a pool and one with the rooftop. Bathrooms are unisex and music leans techno, but the experience is a solid one. Do note that they don’t keep bottles, so you’ll have to finish what you buy.
Getting in here is pretty easy; however they play the music WAY too loud, and the music itself sucks. There are far better nightlife options in the vicinity and in Manhattan. Consider going elsewhere.
Place is racist. I went with four of my friends we’re all African American. We just wanted a drink and to enjoy some music. They wouldn’t let us in because “we weren’t on the guest list.” Three white girls walked in who weren’t in the guest list and got in no problem. When I asked why we weren’t let in the host said “welcome to New York this is how it is.”
Been here a bunch of times. Great views of the city especially during the sunsets but surely overpriced drinks [which probably is the case with a dozen other rooftops in the city]. Waiting time wasnt too bad since we got in before 5 on a Friday but it can get pretty noisy and crowded at the top so dont expect to hang out for a lot if youre in with a large group.Pro-tip: Seatings fairly limited on the roof-top but they do have a bar on the next floor downstairs where you can hangout with folks and its way less noisy over there.
Been here twice, and though the views are great and the music is often good, the ‘door discretion’ is arbitrary and from what others say, shallow, and most probably racist. The doorman last night was extremely rude. He refused to look at my Eventbrite tickets for the Moodymann Detroit Love night (a few minutes after opening at 10:15pm, so they definitely weren’t at capacity) as they used ‘their’ list which my name wasn’t on. Hostile attitude and complete lack of decency. Spend your money elsewhere.
Really gorgeous views on the roof. There’s a pool in the bar.
Worst service I’ve ever gotten in my life
My daughter had excitedly reserved her birthday celebrations with Le Bain a month in advance. Four days before the event she received a cancellation notice with no explanation. When I called Le Bain, I was told that they just had a private event booked (basically more money) so they arbitrarily cancelled existing confirmed reservations.Needless to say it was very upsetting and highly unprofessional. When I asked to speak with the managers (Michou and Andrew) I was told they would get back to me. Despite multiple calls and emails I received no response so they lied.I cannot say much about the place since I never made it there. What I can say is that if you have a confirmed reservation, dont count on it. You may get cancelled just because someone paid more money at the last minute.I have filed a complaint against them under unfair business practices with the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs:Record 11461-2021-CMPL:ComplaintRecord Status: SubmittedGood luck to all and hope this review is helpful.
Bouncer and host so Friendly they have a lot of strange questions for you .
Getting in the low class people working there make it very difficult getting in. Once getting in there is a cheap sticky nasty bar with a cheap looking dance floor. A nasty hot top in the closed in room. The rooftop has AMAZING views but is also not clean up there and the people there are just strange. Not sure why there is such hype for this club as there are pleanty better clubs. Try some where else
So I left a review on my personal account; unfortunately, one damning review does not convey my feeling towards this despicable, grotesque place. Should anyone ever go to Le Bain? No. I have been reading review after review criticizing the organization for being racist — racist against South Asian people. Being a brown person myself, I will speak out against racism in all forms. Le Bain hear me out. Let brown people into the bar! #LetTheBrownsIn
Great Club. Nice people, nice View
I live this place! It has one of the best views of the island of Manhattan. You can see from Jersey to Brooklyn, and enjoy it is one of the funnest bars in town. The music is always good and the crowd is always fashionable. That being said, they are a little steep with their drink prices. If you can, make sure to catch the sunset here!
Le Bain offers a truly spectacular rooftop experience with breathtaking views. The ambiance is unmatched, making it a top choice for those seeking a memorable night out in NYC. The rooftop setting and the skyline views are simply stunning, creating the perfect backdrop for a night of relaxation and enjoyment. A must-visit for anyone looking to elevate their rooftop experience.
Cool view and vibey
