Jungle Bird delivers in every regard — the drinks, apps, service are amazing, the environment is lovely and relaxing. The bartender is an artist. Details matter — from hooks for bags to the restrooms. The best. Every bar should be like this one I’d come back anytime and likely will.
Inventive cocktails, surprisingly well executed food for a more bar centric spot, and fun tropical decor.Certainly not quiet, but despite often being crowded, table service has always been excellent and efficient.Extra kudos to the nice bathrooms.
My friends and I headed there after work on Friday evening. We had made a reservation in advance, so securing a table wasnt a problem. By 6 PM, the place was fairly crowded, though there were still a few open spots at the bar. They also offer outdoor seating. We ordered cocktails, Jell-O shots, and a few appetizers. Our waiter was fantastic—attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails were tasty, the French fries were excellent, but the shots were the real highlight.Prices are a bit on the higher side, with cocktails costing around $20 and appetizers ranging from $20 to $25.
We didn’t eat but made it a cocktail stop before dinner. Both drinks, the jungle bird and a banana cocktail I had were on point.Atmosphere was very lively and fun on a Saturday night. Good spot to get a table with friends.
Wonderful experience! Randi was incredibly hospitable and such a sweet host! She showed us the second floor and the energy was great. Had a fun time the ambiance was amazing. Drinks were strong too! Definitely a good spot for a Friday night after a crazy work week!
Our company had our Holiday party here and it was great! Love the milk buns, jello shots were soo good! Wonderful vibes and fun and friendly service!
Vibes are so high here. Love the aesthetic, the music is so good and cocktails are beautifully hand crafted. Came here with a few girls and sat at the bar, perfect for a small group or date night.
Went there with my friends after work on Friday night. We did make a reservation ahead so had no issues to get a table there. It was relatively busy around 6PM but there were available spots at the bar. They also have some outdoor diningWe ordered cocktails, Jell-O shots and some appetizers. Our waiter was amazing, he did not bother us every minute yet was attentive when we called him.Cocktails were good, French fries very good but best were shots.Prices are a little on the higher end, around $20 for cocktails and $20-25 appetizers.
Wonderful drinks. Good selection of customized cocktails. The drinks were made to perfection, good balance of mixtures and just the right amount of alcohol. The service is also exceptional, the staff is very friendly even with the busy environment. The atmosphere is pretty lively here, music not too loud so you can definitely have a decent conversation. The cocktail prices are standard, $16-18 range. Definitely be back for that angry bird.
Love Jungle bird! It’s a great spot for happy hour, a night cap, or even a bite to eat because the food is awesome. I love their jungle fries and the crunch chickpeas. The Bahn mi sandwich is a must try if you’re a fan of these sandwiches. The cocktails are delicious too. One of my favorites is the Like a Prayer made with Espero Blanco Tequila, Cappelletti Apertivo, Giffard Passionfruit, Montenegro Amaro, Lime on the rocks. It’s a perfect place to host events as well as they have a private room upstairs.
Beautiful cocktails and food in a stunning bar setting. Walking in feels like stepping out of Manhattan and landing in San Juan. The house Junglebird cocktail is the best version of the classic Ive ever tasted, and the zero proof cocktails are next level!
Super cute spot for happy hour! Very lively and fun. Discovered their additional bar upstairs which was a good find, but as an FYI it can get pretty loud. Really loved their decor and menu though. Had a really yummy spicy margarita drink for happy hour ($10) that I’ll be back for.
Really great Cuban themed bar! The drinks are unique and delicious! The food is delightful and fun. The staff was great while I was there as well. It also wasn’t too crowded on a Thursday night so you could still have a conversation with the people your with!
Nice staff and good tapas-style food. Our bartender was super nice and helpful with the recommendations. Try their crunchy chickpeas!!! I could eat a whole bowl of these. We tried the Glory Box and I Wanna Be Adore cocktails, incredible gin cocktails (if you like sweet gin cocktails go for the second one).
Good quick bites and strong drinks. Staff are friendly and on point 👍🏼 good happy hour spot. make reservations for better seating.
Never again because of of the abrupt ending to an otherwise lovely evening. Our server was fantastic. The drinks were great, I didn’t try the food. However, with no warning, the check was dropped and we were told a reservation arrived and we needed to leave. 2 of the 3 of us had full drinks. We paid so we could bounce as soon as we were done. Someone else came over and told us about the reservation. We said politely we were wrapping up. 2 minutes later ANOTHER person came to tell us a reservation was there. It was 6:29. This all happened in less than 10 minutes. When the 3rd person left they sent a manager/ bouncer. Unreal. I’ve lived or worked in the city for 25 years- and owned a bar. People can wait five minutes for a table. If they gave us a 10 or 15 minute heads up - or better yet told us when we sat down there was a 6:30 reservation - it would have been perfectly fine, but the way they handled this was trash. Never again. Get over yourselves, you’re not that great.
Drinks were amazing, food was great. Come try it out asap!
Super chill spot. The food was amazing and I discovered my new favorite cocktail. The food was on a different level. The staff was on point and the atmosphere was relaxed. Hard to find places like this in NYC. You won’t regret stopping by for a few drinks and good food.
Good vibes and good drinks
Our host/waiter was wonderful and the drinks were incredibly delicious and well balanced. Clean and cute and not pretentious at all! The espresso martini I had was by far one of the best I have drank! Thank you for hosting us and making us feel so special and welcomed.
Food/Drink 8/10We walked in and there was space, but this was also back in 2021. I just realized I had this review in my drafts but never posted it. I remember we ordered some Asian inspired snacks along with our drinks, such as the Taiwanese chicken poppers and shrimp skewers, and those were great. The drinks menu was also very tasty.Atmosphere 9/10Vibey and energetic, a cool atmosphere.Service 7/10There’s not much service to remember, since it’s a bar and I think everything came quite quickly as we sat near a bar area.
Absolutely loved jungle bird! Great drinks! Recommend the velvet rope, really unique drink with great balance in flavor. Not too sweet but sweet enough on the palate. For something slightly sweeter, go for the kiss from the rose, very refreshing roseand lemon. Excellent. Also loved the habenero one with grapefruit but I forget the name. Slightly spicy.Bar itself had some nice music and gorgeous looks.
I loved this place. It doesnt have tons of seating but its comfortable. They have great cocktails. I had the Shrimp Skewers. The Shrimp was cooked to perfection. My friend ordered some dumplings which were very tasty. The decor is nice. The atmosphere is chill. The service is quick. Its not cheap to eat and drink here but its not too expensive for the neighborhood of Chelsea. I would come back.
Food was great . Horrible serviceWhen I arrived at the restaurant, the hostess told us we had the table until 10 pm. However, she came to us at 9:15 pm and said we had to leave by 9:30 pm, and that my friends lateness as the reason for not extending the reservation. But we didn’t ask to extend the reservation; we simply wanted to keep the original time, which was 10 pm.We understand that mistakes happen and would have left early anyway if asked nicely, but she said to us, The first half an hour your friends were late, the empty table, means that we were losing money for the first half an hour. (We actually ordered food for 5 people + drinks, not just 1 or 2 drinks.) Regardless of how much we ordered, that’s never the way to treat a customer. I liked Jungle Bird a lot, and I would have recommended it to more friends and come more often in the future if the hostess had not given me a horrible attitude.Despite that, the bar was nice, the food was great, and the waiter serving our table was friendly. If it weren’t for her attitude, I would have given full stars.
The bartenders are super friendly, which is nice when youre drinking solo. Drinks are good, but not strong. Neat bar with a good vibe. I shall return.
Friendly staff, amazing food, and even better cocktails. Whats more is that the vibe is very cool and comfortable.
I’ve been to Jungle Bird a few times. This year, I hosted a private event there, and it surpassed all my expectations. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Organizing the event was a breeze, and as always, the food was delicious and the drinks exceptional! I highly recommend this place for dates, corporate events, or celebrations with friends!
We had been trying to go to another bar which had a private event and the doorman there told us to check out Jungle Bird and heck yeah that was the right move. There were a lot of people, but it also wasnt super packed. Just the right amount of crowd for a Wednesday night.Between our group we tried the Baby One More Time, the MMMBop the Devil I know, the Jungle Bird, the I Melt With You, and then probably more but I cant really remember. What I do remember is everything we drank was phenomenal. Inventive spins on things youve had, new things you hadnt even tried before. It was a great stop and a great addition to our evening!
I was recommended to reach out to Jungle Bird for a last minute company holiday party. We were so lucky to be able to grab one of their last available dates of the season. The Canopy Room for events is absolutely gorgeous! Such a warm and elegant space. We had very little time to plan and we were so grateful everything was really turn-key. Thank you to the events manager Marissa for helping us put this together and being so easy to work with. She was a real gem! Shout out the the awesome staff who took care of us that night (Roy, Patricia and Mario!).The drinks were top notch and so many people complimented on the food (we ordered Pork Bao Buns, Edamame and Chicken Dumplings, Jungle Fries, Chicken Satay and Veggie Spring Rolls).I hope to be able to host events here in the future and would highly recommend to others!
Pretty busy place during after work hours and a great vibe to hang out with a few friends. Definitely stop by if you’re looking for a drink or two. The music is a bit loud for having a conversation with your friends and the bartending staff was a bit understaffed. I’d probably stop by again during a less busy time.
Got there at 4:30 and there and there were already a fee people there. The happy hour menu is nice but we decided to just stick to the regular menu, the fries were nice with lemon, parmesan, red peppers and a spicy aioli, the “I wanna be adored” had a wonderful rose flavor, the old fashioned was great and the black velvet was great. The fried chicken was great.
Jungle bird is a whole VIBE! I need their playlist immediately! The mock tails were tasty, but don’t order the pink— taste like the syrup you leave maraschino cherries in. However, our server Anji was a treat! Attentive, friendly, and accommodating! We ordered some tapas: edamame dumplings, French fries, shishito peppers, and hummus with market veggies. Let’s not forget to mention the star of the show, the butternut squash dumplings (pan seared). Chefs kiss! Highly pleased with the vegan friendly options and the ability to maintain an elevated, but high energy atmosphere!
Bartender was amazing. Friendly, talented, kept refilling waters as soon as we drank them. The Devil I Know cocktail was delicious. Will be back
Jungle Bird is where I celebrated my birthday party. The drinks and staff were great. Very affordable and the atmosphere was a vibe. My friends are still talking about how fun it was.
I went here around 5:30 on a Saturday. The bar had seats open. The cocktails were very delicious. We ordered fries and the shrimp skewers. Delicious. Great small bites. Got busy but never felt rushed. Great for a date night or just fun cocktails.
Such a fun spot! the drinks were pure classics. The small bites were surprisingly delicious. Tried the dumplings, sliders and satay they were perfect portions and simply good!
Trendy Cocktail bar with a solid combination of good music and well-prepared cocktails that make for a safe meet-up spot. $20 a drink. 4/5 stars as a day bar.
It’s a cocktail bar but the food is even more impressive. You won’t find chili fried chickpeas anywhere else
Great drinks, great service
Such a fun place with zero proof drinks and gluten free food options!! This place checked off ALL the boxes and was exactly what we were looking for!!Super fun vibe with beautiful plants, decor, candles, and a great place to catch up with friends! All the staff was extremely friendly, personable, and knowledgeable about the menu.I went with 1 other person and we tried their zero proof cocktails. Two of the three were wonderful. One was a little lack luster (said there was elderflower but we didn’t taste it and it felt like a fancy lemonade). The menu was clearly marked with GF for all the gluten free options! We got the fries even through they weren’t marked GF. They use a shared fryer, so decide for yourself. All in all, such a wonderful experience and I’ll be recommending to everyone!!
Great cocktail bar in the middle of manhattan. delicious drinks and a low-lit casual atmosphere. always see many first/second dates here. not the best place for a big group since its always so crowded.
Cute little spot with delicious cocktails. I especially enjoyed the one that is served with pink peppercorns. The food portions are pretty small - I loved the shrimp skewers but think they were a little overpriced. Also, if you order a draft beer, it will be served in a very small chalice so it’s not much. I would definitely come back - the quality is good, just expect to pay a bit more for less.
Cannot say enough great things about Jungle Bird! We went earlier in the night on NYE and sat at the bar for some cocktails and snacks - our drinks were outstanding and the food was good too. The fried garlic on top of the fries stole the show for me, ha! The service was attentive but not overbearing. Perfect night all around. I cant wait to come back!
3.5⭐ - cute atmosphere, fabulous staff, delicious food (had the shrimp skewers, pork skewers, pork buns, & fries) but the drinks arent great. Devil I Know is very bitter. My main issue is I ordered Young and Beautiful which is supposed to have hibiscus, guava puree, allspice + cinnamon but what I was served tasted like straight tequila!!! My friend tasted it as well and agreed. It was like someone served a pink tequila spritzer, no other flavors were present. I sent it back. This was a huge bummer. I picked Jungle Bird for my early birthday celebraton for the cocktails and they failed me.
Overall, its been a while since Ive been to some place new. This was a friends go to place and she wanted me to check out this place with her. Love the decor and music! Bartenders were great! My only complaint and why its 4 stars, they wouldnt let us sit at a table when the place was half empty. They said every table was reserved which may have been true but half the tables stayed empty our entire time there. Had we had more space to sit comfortably, we may have stayed longer and had an actual dinner meal there instead of just bar snacks.
We stopped in here during out honey moon in PR. The cocktails are soo fun and so tasty! A little sweet, but worth the experience. We had great service out on the patio. We did not eat but the menu and the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Thanks for having us!
Make a reservation! This place fills up quickly. On a Wednesday night too!!The Taiwanese chicken was amazing. Sweet and spicy. The fries were unique too. My friend got the crispy tempura sandwich.
Definitely a great Cocktail Bar. Different and delicious drinks, great Happy Hour. Get the Thai Chili Crunchy Chickpeas
First and foremost this is a 20 something, 30 something crowd. Nice, if youre looking for very loud music (which at times you will feel like you have to yell over) and a trendy scene. Spending a birthday celebration there as an over 40, (also with no acknowledgement of the birthday, even though I specifically put that in the reservation details), maybe not the best choice. The draw was the vegan/vegetarian menu and interesting cocktails. Smashed cucumbers and the jicama salad were excellent. Super tasty fries as well. Hummus needed a little work. Service was excellent and the cocktails did not disappoint. Overall still a very good time.
Ribs are worth the visit alone. Staff are fun and helpful.
Went to this place for drinks and snacks. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. The whole place has a really great vibe to it. Definitely going back
The owners allow “friends” of theirs to just kick out other patrons. A woman and her friends walked in from outside and claimed to already have the 3 seats at the bar we’d been in for 10 minutes and had ordered drinks from. She said we were in “her seats” and that she “knew the owner”. After just giving her the seats to avoid a confrontation, she runs to security and has me kicked out. Bartenders try to tell me that they were her seats after already taking our order. A nicer place would have offered us one of the multiple empty tables but instead they kicked us out. Definitely never going back.
Great cocktails and bites. Been here many times, but every time I go, I feel like the music gets louder and louder. It’s a shame, because I love the venue and service - but they mess it all up because it’s literally impossible to have any conversation without yelling. Not sure I’ll be coming back again.
I spotted Jungle Bird in a friend’s feed on IG and it must have been a very good angle. The space feels like a dive bar that got bought by really enthusiastic first-time restauranteurs from Boston who are obsessed with the Caribbean but wound up in NYC. It was very, very loud. The food was between fine (hummus and tuna appetizers) and one step above bad. The Thai friend chicken could have easily been overcooked calamari. The brussels sprouts were so overcooked that they could have been grenade shrapnel had they not been drowning in oil. The fries were bland despite being garnished with literally 4 different competing herbs and some kind of beige matter. Our waiter, however, was super kind and attentive. The staff is the win here. The kitchen and vibe need some lessons.
Everytime I come to NY I have to visit Jungle Bird. They make fantastic cocktails, and I havent ever been disappointed with the food. Normally I have an entre but tonight my coworkers and I enjoyed a tapas style meal.Kudos on having a vegan option for my friend and other delicious options for the rest of the group. Everything was so good we ordered a second round of food and the cocktails were delicious.Definitely recommend if youre visiting or even a local.
Great place to go for fun drinks. Even the classic drinks are good! Bartenders are great, especially Roy. Keep it up!!! :)
Absolutely delicious appetizers and large plates! I had the “I wanna be adored” drink and while the rose water gave it a delicate finish - the gin provided a dramatic tangy flavor that made it enjoyable. The bartender also had plenty of flair and seemed to love what he was doing! Our waitress was super nice and answered all our questions. She also passed on our compliments to the chef!! We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would definitely come back. The bathrooms were spotless and decor was very sleek yet inviting. Amazing team at this spot. Thank you for providing such a warm, memorable experience!
Went here on a Saturday night for drinks and snacks. Drinks were 10/10, but their food was unbelievable. Jungle Fries and spring rolls were made to perfection. Great service, atmosphere, nostalgic music and wallpapers!
Since google hates my other email I wanted to post here too. Love this place go every time Im in Chelsea. Esp fond of Vietnamese sauces!
Great staff and good drink selection. Way overpriced and food is mediocre.
Always a fun place to be. It was only my second time there but last time was so fun I had to go back.
We’ve been coming to this place for a few years now. Never fails to impress. Prices are very reasonable, cocktails are great and not weak like other places, food is delicious, service is fast, attentive and makes you feel welcome.
Jungle bird is for the people!!! Great fun place to randomly run into. Great atmosphere!
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE Bird! Theyve got Jack and James. They got Mezcal, Lime n Mint- honey, they know your names. They are the people that can mix- whatever you may need.If you want something money, honey they got what you need.JUNGLE, welcome to the JUNGLE Bird. And try the Crunchy Chick P-p-p-p-p-p-p-Peas, PEAS!Down in the Jungle Bird, welcome to the Jungle Bird. Its gonna bring you to new.Its gonna bring you ROUND, huh!
I cant say enough good things about this place! Cocktails are fan-friggin-tastic. Unsurprisingly, this place can get busy, so consider coming early before dinner.
Menu is inventive but not so inventive that it was weird. Good fusion. We got the special of the day which was the fried chicken with Thai Cole slaw I think. Crispy and flavorful and tender. Just wish it was more than just one piece of the breast. The veggies with were tasty. Got the house jungle punch. Worth it. Only complaint is the place is unnecessarily loud. When we first walked in for dinner, the music was blaring to the point where we had to scream like we were in a club. They turned it down eventually to a more normal level.
Happy Hour is fabulous here. The chicken banh mi was tasty without being too fusion. Didn’t try the cocktails and had a beer instead (German). Atmosphere and service is very lovely!
The jungle bird punch is delicious and not too sweet. Also they have a great Guinness pour.
Came here for drinks on a Wednesday night with some old coworkers. The downstairs was packed so we went upstairs and luckily got seats at a table along the windows. The vibe and decor is the best part. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the two sparkling wines they had by the glass. The rose sparkling (3B) is not that good.
I thought the I Wanna Be Adored couldn’t be topped but then I got the barefoot in the park. We loved everything. That said, we weren’t there for the food and we’re blown away by the great flavors and textures. Bao buns are a must as are the Cucumbers. The only thing I thought was ok was the potstickers. Go with pan fried not deep fried.
One of my favorite bars in the city. The decor and drinks are phenomenal. Food isnt bad either! Always a place to impress friends
Nice vibe. ok service. not very crowded for a Friday night. its a place to go for having a good cocktail or a selection of beers. no dancing. particularly, not my Friday night plan but very good for chilling. and its next door from and speakeasy!! just try it and judge yourself
Jungle Bird is a cute spot for cocktails and small bites if you are hungry. The food was surprisingly good but small portions! The cocktails were also very creative and strong!
The non-alcoholic cocktails were amazing! Great spot.
Fun spot for cocktails, the jungle bird on tap was fair, but the handmade one was excellent.
Great drinks, cute first date spot. Bartenders were kind and attentive. Great atmosphere.
I loved the lively atmosphere
I wanted to like this place so bad because I think the concept is incredible.. but the execution fell way short. I tried 4 of the drinks and 3/4 werent blended well, with one flavor overpowering the other ingredients. I got the pork dumplings, curry hummus, papaya salad, and rice bites. The pork dumplings were the best food, but they were average and kind of greasy. Papaya salad had way too much ginger and pineapple. The hummus was good but average, which made it over priced. I didnt like the rice bites bc of personal taste preference. Overall I was disappointed and dont recommend if youre looking for a well done food/cocktail experience. If youre looking for a fun drunk night out with a group of friends, then this place is .. still just okay! Kind of on the pricey side, but fully functioning bar. Great atmosphere, the space and accents were gorgeous.
Love this place! Its the perfect spot for any occasion: happy hour, date, catch up with friends. Almost always find myself back here whenever Im in NY ❤️
I recently had the pleasure of hosting my wedding after party at Jungle Bird that exceeded all expectations!First and foremost, the space itself was absolutely stunning. From the moment we entered, we were captivated by the bars elegant and stylish decor. But what truly made this venue stand out was the incredible staff. From the moment we made the initial inquiry to the final moments of our event, the team demonstrated utmost professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care. They went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our party was flawlessly executed.Overall, I cannot recommend Jungle Bird enough whether its for hosting a private event or just stopping by for a cocktail.A HUGE shoutout to Marissa Cheshier for being our amazing point person throughout the whole process --- youre the best!
This is your place if you want to navigate through crowds of people standing around in their huge coats and shout at the top of your lung at your friends to be heard. Jungle Bird might be great as a concept but in reality it’s probably not where you want to go after a long day’s work.
Jungle Bird has a policy in which they don’t give you change back when you pay with cash. I ordered a few beers that came to $6.47 each and they gave me $3 back. When I asked about the change, one of the bartenders gave me .50 back saying that she had forgotten to give me the change. Mind you, the other bartender had just given my colleague a beer and didn’t give him his change. When the bartender gave me the change, she did so with a snarky tone and proceeded to talk about me with her colleagues behind the bar. Both bartenders then tried to convince me that they round such that the customer always benefits, but then contradicted themselves by saying that sometimes they round up or down and that it ends up being a wash. One of the bartenders relented and admitted that they needed to have a clearer policy regarding change. In the end, it’s less about the $1.50 and more about the fact that they equivocated while managing to demean and denigrate me.
Tropically themed (as the name would suggest) craft cocktail bar. Immensely popular after work on a Friday with 2 levels and a beautiful bar. Highly recommend
Average. Pork belly was so tough it was barely edible. Chicken fried so long it was pretty much coal. Drinks were ok, probably a bit over priced for what it was..
Got the drunk in love cocktail to go and it was absolutely delicious! Staff was thankful and energetic and absolutely made my day. Highly recommend!
Best drinks around. Great music. Love the bartenders. Trendy. Will be back. Open late enough.
Great spot. Excellent food, addicted to the chickpeas. And a great array of cocktails served up by a friendly staff. Excited to go back soon.
Fun cocktails and vibes in Chelsea! On a Friday around 10pm we waited about 10min to get in with a group of 4 and found some room upstairs to sit.
Coming from where the JungleBird originated, this place do the cocktail a justice! Food are great, a little noisy but the ambiance is really nice. Our server is very friendly too!
Really good cocktails
A standard New York bar atmosphere, with some bartender flair that makes their cocktails stand out. Would recommend.
One of my favorite places amazing cocktails service and food is amazing
Drink were good for a quick happy hour but didn’t love the apps. Enjoyed it overall.
Brady is the best damn server I ever had !! The food and tiki drinks were delicious
After seeing a show at Joyce we decided for a recap here. Lovely ambience but i don’t waste time with places that make me feel different we actually just paid without drinking our cocktail, the energy with the host doesn’t sit well with me. But the space is as beautiful and New York has too many places for me to waste my energy on one
The cocktails are spot on and the food is good. The place has a friendly neighborhood vibe.
Very good place.Larger portion cocktails.Bigger menu.Would be an added bonus.Employees are nice.
I like this place. Everything falls right in place. The bar, the service, the /able and seating, even the soap on the bathroom area blends into the wonderful experience.
Lovely cap to a Sunday afternoon....feels like a holiday with excellent cocktails and a bright, welcoming and comfortable space. Live jazz. Friendly service. A gem.
Great cocktail bar! Must book a table on a weekend!
Stumbled here after our first option had an 1.5 hour wait time, but were surprised to have a 10minute wait time for a table of 5 at 9:30 :)Quickly fell in love with the ambiance of Jungle Bird, and had no idea there was a lounge area (will definitely return to try). From the outside reminded me of a Miami vibe, and even more so with their tropical and jazzy decor. The drinks were amazing, I tried an espresso martini and it did not disappoint, and Like a Prayer was tasty.Service was prompt, and attentive. Will definitely return :)(No rating on the food as I didnt try any of their food options)
Odd almost foreign exchange student clientele
Good food. Amazing drinks. Worth a trip from anywhere
Great atmosphere. Nice Sunday evening happy hour with live jazz music. If you are in the area make sure to stop by and grab a cocktail
Yummy cocktails but pretty awful service. We kept waiting 30 minutes after each cocktail and it was impossible to get anyone to come to us
Good vibes here with plenty of disco music and excellent wine. There was good variety in the food. The staff were friendly and competent. My only complaint is that someone changed the disco music at ~9pm, to some sort of mish-mash Billboard 100 from the last 20 years. Disco is great, dont mess with a winning formula.
Such a fun place for cocktails. Service is AAA+.
One of my nyc favs
Great spot for drinks and small bites. The staff here was incredibly friendly and very attentive! There is a great selection of craft beers and nicely made cocktails. I didn’t get a chance to eat, but I heard great things about the food that my friends tried. One of the bartenders even brought us a round of complimentary drinks. It was a treat. I highly recommend Jungle Bird to anyone who looking for a good, lively, time!
Crowded but we still found a spot. Good drinks.
Love the ambience! And the food is yummmm. Papaya salad + pork bun + dumplings
This place is amazing! They have a good food, music and atmosphere, but the waitress who serves the tables is terrible… every time that I asked her for something she rolled her eyes back.I wont be back because of her, I dont recommend this place! The service is terrible!!!! I was enjoying a birthday party in that time, and it could be much better so far!!! I am really disappointed.
Cool vibe, friendly barkeep, and great tiki inspired drinks.
Amazing spot. the decor and vibes are incredible, drinks are so good and the food is great.
Normal Drinks were fineSomeone ordered a punch bowl.. tasted like battery acidWait staff was kind of rude
Amazing cocktails and food. Good ambiance. Definitely coming back
Rachel is that girl forreal! Drinks and food were so so good, she is a true artist!
Delicious food, amazing service, and vibrating atmosphere of happy people.
Loud bar, wouldn’t recommend for a date. Sloppy drinks place for late night
Went to Jungle Bird for a work happy hour, had a great time. Drinks were well crafted and small bites were flavorful
Jungle Bird serves craft cocktails in a much more casual atmosphere than some is the city’s more cloistered speakeasies — and that’s a great thing. The cocktails on the menu may have curious and adventurous ingredients and guffaw-inducing names (“I’m Old Fashioned”, “Cigarettes and Sex”), but each one we tried was strikingly well-balanced and nicely presented. The food is Asian fusion, which would seem an odd fit and a turn-off — except that it was really good. The happy hour chicken and ginger pan-fried dumplings were exceptional, and the Thai-chili deep-fried chickpeas were addictive.Jingle Bird is a fantastic place to meet up after work in whatever you’re wearing. Just make a reservation and don’t plan to loiter. They firmly reminded us to leave once our two-hour reservation allotment ended. But that’s just the price for more democratic access to a truly well-executed bar.
The most beautiful bar Ive ever seen, masterpieces!!! Impeccably work with choosing liqueurs and recipes.
Three of us came in for dinner at 6:15 and at 7:20 we were warned by our waiter that we had only 20 minutes left at our table despite there being 5 other open tables at the restaurant. While the hostess was lovely and the atmosphere was nice, the waitstaff was rude and inattentive....we ordered starters and we never approached for a second drink or a meal order...the only other interaction was our warning that time was almost up.
Fun, busy energy. Fun staff. Great drinks. Get the punch, but let the ice melt a bit.
Nice place, strong drinks! Very on point about reservation length
Nice ambiance and good drink menu, but a bit overpriced for what it is, and the service is nothing special
Worth a visit. Awesome service (was sitting at the bar). Great jazz band. Tipped them via Venmo. Haha.
Great place to meet up with friends of have a bite to eat when youre on a romantic evening out. One warning is that it definitely gets loud here, so be prepared to snuggle up close to your date!
Love this place, have been multiple times and have always had the perfect vibe and great drinks.
Went here yesterday. Tony was great server! 👍
Perfect ambience. Awesome cocktails. Vegan food a plus. Service is excellent. Really friendly!!
Great vibe. Better drinks. Fun place for a date. Cant wait to go back.
Love this place, excellent/creative cocktail menu and the food is great. Jungle Bird is one of our favorite cocktail bars in NYC. Highly recommend.
Decent cocktails, fair prices and very nice and professional team.
Love this local place. Great cocktails and great sharing plates at reasonable prices
The Mongolian BBQ skewers with the Junglebird cocktail is just amazing
Mkdie the host was outstanding. Went above and beyond to help me find a place to catch up with old friends. Will be back for the drinks & service!
Krissy is the best bartender ever! 10/10! everyone stop by for a good time!
Had a great time at Jungle Bird!! The drinks at amazing, the host stand was especially outstanding should out to Mekdie!!
Dont come here if you expect to be treated well.
Nice place for cocktails and bar food. The cocktails were unique and presented nicely and the servers were lovely too. Would recommend but definitely with a reservation in advance, it seems to get busy
My girlfriend and I were accosted and aggressively kicked out by a furious security card simply because we went to use the bathroom together. There was no warning or sign or simple ask to use the bathroom one at a time, just immediately getting yelled at and told to leave. There were girls who had used the bathroom earlier in the night and no one said anything to them. We didn’t even get to use the bathroom because as soon as we walked in we were being kicked out while we still had a tab open. We had been having cocktails and food spending money for two hours at a table upstairs and then had this horrible experience that left my girlfriend shaken up. The security guard was so angry that we had gone into the bathroom together that he wouldn’t even explain why we were being kicked out, he was yelling “LETS GO!” and insults in our faces even as we remained calm and tried to understand what was happening. The managers agreed with us that he overreacted, yet did nothing to compensate us for the intense aggression we had just experienced. I’ve lived in NYC my whole life and never experienced something so intense for such a trivial matter with no resolution or reasoning. The upstairs security guard here is dangerous and overbearing for no reason. None of the staff would even acknowledge what was happening or talk to us as we were being kicked out. We kept asking for some sort of clarity on what was happening and other security and staff simply looked at us with a blank stare and nodded their heads. In this establishment there is no communication between security and staff and it appears things are aggressively escalated for no reason, making it dangerous for patrons.
Cute place. Server was great but the food was just okay.
Yummy zero proof drinks, beautiful decor and music. Was here for a private event.
Meh drinks and the hostess was a bit cranky. Appetizers were good.
Met a friend here on her recommendation as a New Yorker. Trendy spot so expect to pay for those cocktails..
Great staff… great food… amazing drinks… I’ve been here for dinner and attended a large scale work related event the tell tale sign of a great place is that the food from the large scale work event was equally as good as the intimate dinner as were the drinks and the staff… I preach the gospel of Junglebird everywhere I go!
Shout out to the host stand thank you Mek 🙏🙏
The specialty cocktails were amazing. Our server Rodrigo was especially great
Dont skip the jello shots! Reservation recommended
The artwork and ambiance is to die for with its mixture of tasteful art and nostalgic tracks (speaking as a 30 year old Millennial). Its very spacious inside, but gets crowded at night. My group said the food was excellent although I didnt order any.
First cocktail was a little flat tasting. Second was better
Terrific servers, great drinks, love the zero menu and chicken salad
It’s listed as a cocktail bar , but they told me that could not make the cocktails shown on their official Instagram page.NO menu available . We were at the basement bar. When I asked the bartender how much my drink Would cost , he said “$20. But nothing is going to be cheaper than that ”. He seemed annoyed and judgmental instead of just responding in a professional manner .To be honest , the response was downright offensive since he implied that I did not want an expensive drink . I was not looking for the “cheapest drink”, but as a paying customer I wanted to know how much i would be paying. Even a response like a price range of between $15-20 would have been fine.Again, It’s not about a price. If there is no menu and prices are not listed , customers have the right to be responded to politely. It’s a Nice place , and the hostess/lady at the entrance was very sweet. but will not return due to the rude bar service . No self respecting establishment should judge someone for wanting to know the cost of something .I also think that the Cocktail was not that good.
If you’re there when Tom is there you will have a good time!
SCAMMMMMM!!!! Please look at your card charges!!! Bartenders are charging other people’s tabs on your card! My card got charged 3 times when in reality I only ordered twice at the bar. Soooo sketchyyyyy, and the manager did not want to get me itemized receipts for proof. Avoid this bar!!!
I’ll start worth the fact that I’m a bartender myself. Good cocktails, great bartenders, awful bouncer. I would have been fired for what he said lol. Never seen a bar closed that terribly. If it’s such an inconvenience to try and have people out by 3 am on a Friday, maybe make your last call at 2:30 not 2:45. Literally didn’t get 15 min from ordering before this dude is standing over the table rude as can be not giving us 30 seconds. Never seen anything like it before. I was with all industry people. We were all astounded at this guy. Dude said “I want to go home” (red flag to say that in industry to begin with) horribly unprofessional. I feel for the guy. I’m sure he’s a nice dude. But you work in service, it’s a Friday, and technically the bar hadn’t closed by this point. Beyond disappointed
Great service, delicious cocktails will return.
My family and I attended the opening. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant and rich with a 1920s charm. The food was outstanding! The service was impeccable. I cant wait to go again.
Jungle bird has an amazing atmosphere with fabulous staff! Their drinks are so cool and photogenic, even their house drink comes out of a golden peacock! Rachel and Chris are the best bartenders come down and show them some love!! 10/10 would recommend!
Good vibes!
Has always been there for me when I needed a place with a good drink menu. Often surprised how easy it is to find a table. Love it for an after work bar. Good music, good vibes, good food (crispy chickpeas!), good service.
I love this bar. Lovely interior and very friendly service - all the bartenders are so nice! The drinks are amazing and the music is so fun! Fills up quickly, even on weekdays
Great drinks and music. Loved the atmosphere.
Swift service, comfortable ambience, extensive food and drinks menu. Crowds were civil and unpretentious. Definitely coming back for seconds, and more!
Fantastic drinks. Very fun atmosphere.
This is a super cute spot to grab some drinks on a night out with friends or a date. I haven’t eaten here, so my review is strictly based on the bar, not the food/dining experience. The vibe and ambiance is super chill. You’ll be transported to the tropics as soon as you walk in. The bartenders were really nice and attentive, as was the guy who greeted us at the door. I had the smoky eyes drink and the baby one more time, both were great (be warned, smoky eyes is not for the faint of heart if you can’t handle spice). I would definitely come back here again if I’m ever in Chelsea.
We had our engagement party here at the Canopy Room. The service here is outstanding! Marissa their events director was super helpful, professional and such a pleasure to work with. Our guests truly had an amazing time and were raving about how great both the food and drinks were! Definitely will be coming back and highly recommend Jungle Bird for private parties.
The Tuesday Burlesque show was unexpected as we were just looking for a few extra drinks for the night. What an amazing evening!!
Super cute spot in the city for drinks and small bites. The Jungle Bird drink is like a tasty rum punch that packs a punch!! The baby one more time is another good drink. Bites that I enjoyed: the dumplings, curry puffs, the fried chicken. I would definitely go back when in the area.
An absolutely lovely bar with two levels and a super nice ambience (and delicious strong drinks to boot). The mixologists are super cool and professional. Will definitely be coming back.
Really good fried dumplings and cocktails. Fried shrimp great as well but dumplings stole the show. Sat at bar, friends drinks were taken by bartender twice with about 30% of drink left but still a great time!
Decent sized tiki bar with several outdoor tables. Drinks were very well crafted, a nice mix of unique recipes and known favorites. Highly recommended.
Amazing Craft cocktails and really cool ambiance
LOVE this spot! The neighborhood really needed something like this! The decor is BEAUTIFUL and the drinks are wonderful! We threw a semi-private party on the second level (called The Canopy Room) and the manager and bartenders were lovely and so accommodating. Really rare in NYC to find a place that has all the things. Definitely recommend!
Chill place. After the kitchen is closed you are welcome to have a table and some drinks. The vibe from the host was easy going, they had draft beers and cocktails as well.
Great location, bar selection, nice staff...
This is a bit of a mixed review. The bar staff was great, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance is nice and it wasnt too crowded and didnt feel too scene-y.The one bad thing was - we checked in for our reservation and not all of us were there. The hostess let us know it would just be a few minutes. The rest of our party was very late. But they never seated us. And never told us they werent seating us because our entire party wasnt there. I totally understand not seating is till our entire party had arrived - 100%. Just walk over and tell us. We were within the hostesss eyeline the entire time. Not more than 25 feet from her. Very odd.
No food besides some apps but good drinks
Came for the drinks, stayed for the vibe, I’ll return for the bites!
Very open and spacious Bar area comfortable seating. Unique and imaginative cocktail menu. Loved the orange wine!!
Interesting place. Awesome cocktails.
The vibes of this place, it’s a 10/10. Music is on point, drinks are killer and service is so quick.
Great place for happy hour! They have awesome cocktails that they rotate on the happy hour list, with great snack/food options too! Not too crowded on a rainy Thursday night. Nice bartenders and staff. Fun little crowd.
They are rude and even no car bomb not even jager bomb 😞😞 please think about it twice 😞
Really nice, modern and up-scale feeling bar. You don’t want to come here and get a Bud Light...they have an awesome selection of local craft beers you’ll want to try instead. They also have a nice list of classic cocktails and very knowledgeable bartenders who can cater to whatever you like. You don’t see it at first glance but there’s an upstairs area called “the canopy room” which can be rented out for private events. It has another bar that’s a little quieter/more room if it’s crowded downstairs.Unfortunately I didn’t try the food but looked great as well!
Great, strong drinks. Yummy food. Gorgeous gorgeous space. Go for the punch bowl if you wanna get more bang for your buck. I’ll be back for sure.
Stopped by Jungle Bird with a couple of friends for a quick drink. Super cute atmosphere, but Kerry (spelling) was literally the best server i have ever had in my life. it is clear that she loves working around people, and she is so genuinely kind and funny.
Gorgeous two floor bar that specializes in cocktails. Absolute professionals in this place, whipping together delicious drinks. The food is quite unique as well with lotus root French fries and fried rice cakes
Absolutely the bomb. Drinks were fab. Service was amazing. Vibe was off the charts. Literally on my new top favorite bars list.
Decent drinks, limited food, boring clientele, slowest service I’ve ever experienced. My server walked by me and my empty plates and glasses so many times while avoiding eye contact, only to finally come by to tell me she was done for the night and was switching my tab to the bar, which is when I was finally able to get my check and leave. Should have just walked out sooner.
Cocktails are outstanding!. Bartender can also prepare your cocktail of choice!
Huge selection of tasty cocktails :)
Went to Jungle Bird to celebrate my birthday. Could not have picked a better spot! The vibe and decor are great. The service was very attentive - once you finishing up your drink, there was already someone asking if you wanted another one. Our waitress was super nice - was taking photos of us and offered to cut the cake :) We had the two high-top tables and it was perfect to mingle. Drinks are delish and great location if you want to continue your night at one of the nearby clubs.
Overpriced, decent drinks.
Ellie is amazing! Her drinks and service were top knoch. If you’re going to jungle bird ask for her!
Great cocktail bar! Drinks are great. Food is bite size and small plates. Great vibe and love the atmosphere of Jungle Bird!!
I went to this place for drinks with coworkers. We had large party of 10+ people and they were nice enough to open up their second floor area, which has ample space with a lot of tables and chairs. We had some bahm mi sandwiches along with chips and dumplings. I didnt try the sandwiches but the dumplings and the chips were tasty. The place has beautiful decor and great service. I will go back to try their other food items on the menu.
Marissa is the best!!! We booked a corporate event in the upstairs room and she was SOO accommodating and helpful! Great food, drinks and atmosphere!
