Dyckman Dogs

Came in late night before closing. Staff was friendly, store was clean. Good atmosphere and good music. Hot dog hit that late-night craving!

The Venezuelan Dog (The photo below) is good and no pork. However the Dyckman Dog was terrible I ask the waiter strictly no pork. This dog has bacon in it he could warn me. By the way the franks are easy to make at home because they nothing but Sabrett franks with a brioche bun and fix-in that you can get at a supermarket. So, the neighboring place Cachapas y Mas is way better and I see why is it a long line for food.

The food is amazing!! But the service is not great, they took too long even though we were the only ones there, and the staff werent very friendly. We got dyckman dog, Texas burger, and dyckman fries. The sauce on the fries is to die for! But I wasnt a big fan of the fried onions on the fries. Loved the hotdog and the burger, they were both delicious.

I got the Dykman burger with fries. The food was delicious but definitely on the salty side. The gentleman working the counter/waiting tables was super friendly. He even gave me a small bottle of hand sanitizer too.One note: The Dykman burger comes with stick fries IN the burger, which I didnt realize, so if you get it maybe get something other than fries as a side.Will definitely go back

Top quality burgers in the area! Five Guys is my usual burger place, but this is the best artisanal burger Ive ever eaten. 11/10 - was served as it appeared in photos from other reviewers. Delicious. This restaurant is a gem.I highly recommend the Texas Burger if you enjoy a bit of BBQ sauce.

Dyckman Dogs is one of those places that unless you read a bunch of best place review sites, youd not even know that this place existed, due to its location in a neighborhood not many reviewers travel to. I first came here about ten years ago on the recommendation of a local friend, and although I dont have many opportunities to get to this establishment, when I do come here its always an enjoyment. Being a big time hot dog person, I must say that I enjoy the different takes on hot dogs that Dyckman Dogs offers. Its a nice twist to see all the interesting variations on their dogs. Ive had a few, and I find the toppings quite generous and substantial. My new favorite menu item here though, is the Chopped Cheese Fries, combining the quintessential bodega sandwich of New York with fries. It is a meal in itself.There is so much more to here than just the food that makes this place a winner. The atmosphere is close and intimate, the service very bright and pleasant, and there also is a large TV to watch sporting events on.The only drawback here is not the fault of anyone here, but rather due to the popularity of the business district around it, and that is that parking is at an extreme premium around here. I remember one time a customer came in and complained about having to park six blocks away from here just to get a spot. Fortunately, the 1 line is just around the corner, and the A line is about 4 blocks away.This place truly deserves its high ratings as one of the best hot dogs establishments in New York City.

2 upstaters roaming the city. Decide to adventure to Dyckman Street. Came across Dyckman Dogs. Uh...what a GEM !! Hot dogs were excellent,fries were excellent. Old kegs for bar stools. Nice tables. Small place...perfect for us. Unsure how safe we would feel in this area. Nothing but kindness from those we interacted with. Dropped in a couple of shops, doors held for others and us, pleasantries spoken. Felt very, very comfortable. Loved it !!!

Homemade chopped fries is a must try. And their portion is always huge. The cooking process is quite fast and you dont need to wait too long for your food.

Delicious hot dogs!! Got the Capitaleño, and it was so flavorful and enjoyable. Friend got a burger, and it was fresh and yummy too. Also, make sure to order a chinola, it’s passion fruit juice and super tasty. Will come again!

I have always gone to Dykman to get palos Dr queso and never noticed this place until a photo on Instagram. Every year i take a foodies trip to small places that get posted on the gram. The food i ate here was amazing! It looks like a cafeteria, but dont get discouraged. I had the Dykman Dog and Dominican Fries...great choices. They have other options so I have to go back of course!

Slept on this place for a long time and you won’t be disappointed if you go. I’m not even really into hotdogs but decided to give it a try and it exceeded my expectations. I just got the plain hot dog with ketchup and mustard and I literally had to go back and get another one because it was so good. Definitely worth checking out.

I can’t even believe this restaurant doesn’t have over 500 reviews. This restaurant has to be one of the hidden gems of NYC. Their food is very tasty and the prices are very reasonable. My cousin brought me to try their food and I tasted a bite out of heaven. Now I will sacrifice the time to commute there just for their tasty, & watery burgers. The staff is very friendly too I recommend this restaurant to all.Update:i cannot even stress this enough, this restaurant offers many great services such as dine in and long hours that stretch late especially during covid. Which is very helpful, plus the hospitality is on point.

All the hot dog options here are greatMy one complaint is that I ordered regular fries and when I opened the box there was some weird sauce all over it that I couldn’t place the taste of.. I couldn’t eat the fries. Other than that it is great!

Definitely recommend to anyone whos a fan of hot dogs. Their hot dogs here come in many different, fun, and delicious styles (most inspired from Latin American takes on the hot dog, which are much more interesting and filling than your standard American frank with ketchup and mustard). They also do great media noches if anyone in the group doesnt want a hot dog. Ive been multiple times and tried multiple dogs and they were all satisfying. The staff is also really nice and accommodating.

HORRIBLE! The food was bad. The quality of the meat was bad. The burger we ordered was soggy. The hotdog tasted horrible. I have never known of a place that would mess up on hot dogs! We also ordered a cuban sandwich and it was a no no! It tasted like a tuna sandwich. What a horrible experience. We tried different things since it was our first time there. Everything looks great on the menu. It hurts to rate this bad but the place needs to get it together with flavors and quality of the food.

This place is legendary. They have the best cubanos in the city. One of those is enough to feed two. Hotdogs are creative and delicious. Good service and its a breeze ordering online. Make sure to get plenty of their pink sauce!!

The most slept-on place in Inwood by a mile. The burgers are unbelievable and I can actually put them down for a minute without risking them falling apart. To say nothing of the dogs, which are all fantastic. If I had one recommendation it’d be the addition of a Chicago dog to the menu, but the dominican and venezuelan dogs should be tried because they’re both amazing.

My co workers and I placed an order for lunch. Sadly they didn’t deliver to us so we did a pickup order.. THE FOOD WAS delicious. From the wings to the burgers & dogs.. We were all satisfied.

This it the second time I try Dyckman Dogs, last time ordered some Plantain Fries, but this time wanted to get actual and original order. This was amazing, veery tasty but not salty, crunchy fries, although If I had the option wouldve added more salsa and cheese.. at the bottom the fries were dry with no Special sauce nor cheese .. butthis was amazing, my sister and mom ordered the samee but with onions.. You need to try them out!! Also I called for pick up, and the guy that took the phone and gave me order was veery very friendly, everyone was even the one in the kitchen .. loved this food and place!

I discovered this place through a post on Ig and decided to put it on my bookmarks, as I was doing something in the area we decided to finally give it a try.I really dont understand the posts with 1 star as this place is THE BOMB!!!I fell in love with their Dyckman fries and have already ordered them twice in two of three different versions(plantains and fries). My very Dominican boyfriend loved the Dominican fries and also ordered them twice in two different versions(plantains and sweet potatoes)The staff at Dyckman Dogs was extremely friendly to me and my boyfriend even tho we had to talk through the glass. They even came to us to say bye and wish us a good rest of the day. Their team in the kitchen was also very friendly, they were waving at us and talking through signs, really appreciated how polite and attentive they were.Weve been here twice in the same week and already recommended to other people who also visited and loved their food.I already had the pleasure to eat two of their Hot Dogs, their DELICIOUS loaded Fries and last but not least, their Maracucha Burger. I have to say EVERYTHING was made to perfection and extremely delightful.I 100% recommend this place and will definitely come back for more!!

I ordered here thru uber eat, got the wrong order, somebody order named Nicole, Im a dude. I called they telling thats the right order. They didnt want to resolve the problem. Very bad customer service. The uber guy was very nice he tried to resolved the problem. I heard over the phone when the guy cooking said that he wont make the order again. Very bad customer service. They need more professional people and more when u r dealing with a restaurant and customer service. Bad service. Was meaning to come here for a long time finally in the Middle of this pandemic we needed something different, originally came for the dogs but ordered the Dyckman Bird which honestly tasted super juicy and tender. It contained crispy fried chicken breast, shredded lettuce, pickles, paprika mayo, and Mikes honey hit sauce ... it was off the hook!!! We also had a Dyckman Dog!! Let me tell you something about this dog, it felt like being back in Central America, this hot dog was made to eat on a buttered brioche bun, grilled dog, corn, bacon, crema, salsa rosada, and queso llanero, topped with scallions. I seriously would give this place another go-around cause everything tasted good, also the fries were on point we had platano and batata fries (white sweet potato). Make sure to ask for extra salsa rosada trust us!!! I seriously can not stress and say I really cant wait to come back and try their other items on the menu.

As a Colombian, Im hesitant to give credit to Venezuelans but this place is GOOOOD. Burgers are fantastic, highly recommend the Cibao and Maracucha burgers. The staff is very friendly!

Got a Cubano, dykman dog & a Venezuelan dog. Dykman dog was better than the Venezuelan. Cuban was pretty good. All of the food looks better in person. Lovin the wood benches outside. Real nice set up. Feels like DR w the plants hanging.

Dyckman Dogs is an underrated gem that offers some of the best hot dogs in the city, period. I was especially impressed by the Dyckman Dog and fried chicken - wonderfully crispy. I live in Inwood and will be back soon!

My boyfriend and I usually come here and the moment we stepped in, two guys watching the game just looked at us as if we just broke into their apartment. No one in the counter, it was absolutely empty from anyone working except for a cook that was in the back, who I made eye contact with multiple times. He didn’t alert no one that we were there. We felt so uncomfortable that we just decided to leave. We traveled all the way from Yonkers to this place but this will be the last time we ever go here.

Solid burgers and hot dogs. Awful fries. Unfortunately they just raised the prices by $5 on every burger/sandwich and you can’t get them without fries.Won’t be going anymore as I don’t want to waste money being forced to purchase a side I wouldn’t even take for free. Very disappointing.

Totally different twist on hot dogs, my favorite part of them is the buttered brioche buns. We also like the cheeseburgers, they have cachapas, wraps, patacons and a bunch of other stuff.

They use fake photos on Uber eats to lure you in. Burger and fries are soggy and inedible. very pitiful meal I had to throw in the trash.

Place blew my mind! Got the dyckman dog (Mexican street corn and bacon) and the hot honey chicken sandwich. Buttery toasted buns on a flat top each bite bursting with flavor, A must go to! Staff was also super friendly and place is very clean.

With so many options around to order food from, I made the choice to eat here on a whim. I’m more than glad because this food is absolutely BUSSIN’!!Not only did we have to come back the next day for more, but the service and general city advice from Gustavo will make this a place that I will go out of my way to come back to my next time in New York City.

Earlier today I placed an order for my medical office, which included several types of hotdogs and burgers and French fries. All of the food came iced cold, they placed cold drinks on top of the food, and messed up the order itself with the wrong ingredients. As soon as the food arrived the manager of the establishment was called. He was extremely rude, immediately stated that he will do zero in a terrible manner to correct the order. I nicely asked him again if the order could be replaced, after three or four times of this he stayed silent. DO NOT under any circumstances go to this establishment as you will probably receive cold/incorrect food and unbelievably rude service.

The food was delicious I had the chicken sandwich with wings will go again. But it was a lit pricy.

Amazing dogs... no complaints at all! The snap and juiciness of the Frank is outa this world, the chili was properly spiced and the french fried onions added the perfect added flavor to the dog. Definitely have recommended and Ceasar provided the best service....even walked out with an amazing slice of double chocolate cake that was moist and to die for; and I dont even like chocolate!

Probably one of the best restaurants Ive been to! We had a nice woman named Sky as our waitress. She was welcoming, funny, and fast with our service! The food was absolutely delicious, and filling! Im definitely going to bring a few friends with me for my next visit! Thank you!

I first had this place at Governors Ball and had to follow up a second time. When I looked it up I thought for sure it was going to have 1,000 5 star reviews. It must still be a hidden gem of NYC but seriously this place is ridiculously good. The people there are so fun and kind, definitely a spot I want to show all of my friends.

I called and the person answering the phone keeps asking me for my name, so i just told him to forget my name and cancel the order. Dont waste your time and money on places like Dyckman Dogs. The food was great, I had the dykman dog and fries, however unfortunately the very next day I had intense food poisoning, I only vomited up the hot dog and fries. Had the bleu bird, chicken was VERY good, moist inside n batter was crispy n sweet, but the slaw did not have the taste of bleu cheese. Maybe they put plain slaw on by mistake, but it definitely did not have the bite I was looking forward to from bleu cheese. Will try again.

These people know what they do, clean, organized, from the caramelized onion in the puntico to the sausage as it goes. (TASTY) I bought a dyckman, a capitaleña & a sandwich (Midianoche) ahh & a Dominican Dog. Its a lot of food, theyre quite big and how full of deto. My experience: Im pregnant, I wanted a Dominican hotdog, I never thought it would come with a sausage instead of a sausage. God, Dominicans dont put that in their hotdog because Im Dominican. With its very good food and the waiter is good..... it represents the Dominican Republic well, especially San Pedro.The hot dogs are the best in all of NYC with nothing to envy from anyone.Their tequeños are the biggest!The beers are very good and cold.Their drinks are a 7 out of 10 but I know they can improve.And the food time is super fast which is good in NYCI recommend them!!!
