We were seated around 5:20 with a 5 PM reservation. The staff were friendly and approachable. The line for the bathroom was extremely long around 6 PM and kept growing. The restaurant was quite loud, making conversation difficult. Despite these issues, the food was fantastic, and its a lovely place to visit after seeing the tree. Our meal came to $172, not including tip, for the 10-ounce filet, braised short rib, roasted asparagus, and mac and cheese. I wouldnt recommend the mac and cheese as it was bland and loses its taste quickly if not eaten warm but the braised short rib was AMAZING. I definitely recommend adding a vegetable side to enjoy alongside the short rib. Overall, I really enjoyed my evening here.
Busy place, but staff seems tired of guests. You dont feel welcome. Our server was friendly but lousy. Only one staff member Matt was helpful and professional even he was not our server. Food was not good. Prosciutto had that old taste, fries tasted like it was reheated from the yesterday leftovers. Coconut Cream Pie was below average. I do not recommend this place at all if you like to eat a good food.
The location is absolutely stunning for content outside the restaurant in the area, due to Rockefeller Center. The food was incredibly delicious, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely fantastic. The ambiance was just okay in the restaurant, not the best. Its definitely not a place where you can feel overly romantic or kid-friendly. On second thought, maybe a little more on the romantic side, the place was very dark. However, my son and I enjoyed it, so we ended up paying $120 for three courses - an appetizer, main course, and dessert - which was definitely worth the price due to it being restaurant week in NYC.
Celebrated my birthday dinner at this location. The food was very delicious. The staff was very pleasant and efficient. However, the womens bathrooms.Less desirable for a high-end restaurant. Management definitely needs to come up with the way to keep their bathrooms clean and fresh.
Super great place to grab lunch. We actually ate here twice. Fries were great. Diet Coke came with a lemon slice which was fun! Great service. Outside seating and clean bathrooms. Garden salad was huge!Double cheeseburger, truffled Mac and cheese and steak sandwich were also ordered by our party. Will definitely return!
We were celebrating our 8th year wedding anniversary and decided to go there. The place has a romantic sitting with dim lights We were seated in no time, and the server came a very nice young man with a very sexy accent 😀 my husband ordered the wet wings, and I got the dry one. We were both very pleased. My main meal, which was half of chicken with marsh potatoes and a side order or cream spinach and spicy margarita drink I was about to eat my chicken when I realized whatever sauce on it was EXTREMELY salty i scraped it off but by then it had were to the potatoes and and to removing some, I was full and took some home and warm it up the next when I realized the chicken was not cooked to my satisfaction which I did not realize while there due to the lighting Anthony ordered steak and asparagus and a glass of red wine. He was very pleased the place was very clean and the service was fantastic . I probably would not go back due to the lighting being so dark as even when ordering I had my reading glasses on and had to use the light from my phone to see whats there but if I should go back if my husband wants to go the only thing I will ordered is the wings.and the spicy Is margarita.
We stopped by to have lunch on a Sunday with our friends, their seven month daughter and our 2 year old daughter. Our friends also had their service dog with them and we were refused seating despite the restaurant being half empty. The host Ashley initially said there was a booth available but had to seat us outside due to our friends service dog which she claimed was a 45 minute wait. We asked to be seated inside since its against the law to discriminate against service animals. At this point it had already been 15 minutes and our kids were tired and hungry. The host wouldnt budge and actively made it difficult for us at which point we asked to see the manager. The manager was also rude and claimed that there were no tables available. Finally we agreed to split up so some of us could be seated outside and some inside. They led us to a table for 2 outside and a table for 4 outside as well. Fortunately, we were able to all fit into the table for 4 since our kids were so small and they then seated other people on the table for 2.The whole ordeal felt inane and completely pointless. It was as if the host and manager actively didnt want to seat us and made things as difficult as possible. I would recommend you go elsewhere if youre looking for good service or if youre dining with kids. The whole experience was so awful we ended up ordering a minimal amount of food which was also very mediocre. Their Citrus salad was so sour it was barely edible and their steak sandwich wasnt anything to write home about. The only saving grace was that the waiter was a nice man and very accommodating. The owners of this location should be ashamed of the behavior of the hostess Ashley and her manager.
Its a bit pricey but manageable ifgour visiting for the first time. The waiter is really so friendly and helpful. Forget the crispy Brussel Sprouts. They are overcooked.
We sat at the bar and had the tuna tacos and the filet burger. All very good. We stopped here before our broadway play. Good pit stop before a show.
My M-I-L and I came here and had the best time!!!! We shared the filet with a side of Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries and had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer!!! I will definitely come back! The steak was cooked just as we asked! The brussel sprouts were ok, but Im really picky about how I like my brussel sprouts! The shrimp and the sweet potatoes were absolute perfection!! We had a hazelnut martini and chocolate martini, and they were both really good!! Be prepared to spend a little money bc the place isnt cheap, but it was worth every penny!!!!
The filet was fabulous! Our server told is the sides, specifically the loaded baked potato was very large so we shared one between the three of us. While the large plates may look empty, it was more than enough food and I still didnt finish my third of the potato. The drinks were delicious and the service was phenomenal!! I wish I wrote my review sooner while I could still remember the name of our server because he was so great
Del Friscos Grille is one of the best lunch spots in the Rockefeller Center area, Ive been coming here for many years. While its more casual than the Double Eagle steakhouse sister property down the street, the menu and atmosphere at the Grille are both great. Most importantly, though, the service at the bar is out of this world!
We were in town to attend the Christmas Eve Midnight Mass at St. Patricks Cathedral with a reservation for 3pm. We were seated promptly upon arrival. Our waiter was prompt allowing us to get settled with reviewing the menu. We started with a Hazelnut Expresso Martini and Manhattan for cocktails and Fried Calamari Shanghai Style with Crush Peanuts. All were excellent. For entrees we had Filet Mignon and Prime Ribeye, both prepared perfectly as ordered, sharing Roasted Asparagus and Hand-mashed Gold Potatoes which were very good.
While walking around Rockefeller Center we decided to stop for drinks and a snack. We were at the bar area and were certainly not disappointed with the service. We had various cocktails and all were well prepared. We ordered a cheeseburger and french fries and the combo was a big winner. The cheeseburger was so tasty and the french fries were great. We ended up ordering a second round of fries. The place had an after work crowd enjoying beers and tasty appetizers. The place is worth a look if you are in the Rockefeller Center area.
The service was great but unfortunately the food was terrible, the prawn cocktails were the worst ever, clear that they were frozen and not fresh. The mahi mahi was dry and tasteless, the steak was okay but for the price it was terrible.total was $489 for 3 people, it was nice looking at the rockafella tree but if you don’t go around Christmas time there is nothing going for the place. Wouldn’t recommend,
Food was really good! Service not so much. The waiters were constantly milling around waiting for us to finish pur meals. Kind of rushing us. Not vert sympathetic.
We stopped here after watching the Rockettes at Radio City. Its really close and we were able to get a seat at the bar. It was packed when we went and I would assume thats largely because of the holiday season. Ill get to the food but I have to say up front the location is the star of the show. Its around the corner from Radio City and right next to the Rockefeller tree. We could look to our left during dinner and see the beautiful tree all lit up. If you are planning during the holidays I recommend making reservations ahead and requesting the attached (covered and presumably heated) patio so you can have an even better view. The service at the bar was good once they registered we were there. He was really friendly and checked in regularly. The food was pretty good. Its nothing incredibly unique or memorable in my opinion but good. I got the shaved steak sandwich and Mom got the chicken sandwich. I think that there were other items on the menu that might have been better, specifically some of the appetizers looked good. I would say its great during the holiday for the location/view and for groups that want a menu thats friendly to almost anyone/not too adventurous.
I came with high expectations, but I was terribly disappointed. I ordered the Prime Rib Bone Steak for $85, with fries and a side of spinach. To my surprise, when the dish arrived, it was just fries—nothing else. I told the waiter that I had ordered a full meal, and he seemed just as surprised. I had to ask him to take the fries back and bring the rest of the meal. About 10 minutes later, he brought the full meal.Unfortunately, the meat was barely warm—not hot at all! I suspect the steak had already been prepared when he brought the fries, which is why I received a lukewarm dish instead of a hot one as expected.Additionally, I accidentally left my earbuds on the table. I returned just five minutes later, but, of course, no one had seen them. I can only guess what happened to them.
To start the hostess greeted us and sat us promptly. Then the server introduced herself and got us water with no wait. The place is nice and had a lively feel with music and conversations going everywhere. We ordered a bunch of appetizers. The deviled eggs were not my favorite. The egg at the bottom was deep fried so it was chewy. The sticky ribs were the bomb. Tender and fall off the bone. They were sticky and sweet. The cheeseburger egg rolls were good too. The sauce was sweet. The tuna tacos were really good. The guacamole was flavorful. The crab cake was OK. To me it had a little too much veggies. The biscuits were dry and not very warm. Do not those. The chicken sandwich was good with the sweet potato fries.
The location, service and ambience is nice. The place is very convenient right on Rockefeller. But I would go back for the service and the place but not the food. Salad was good. We have tried the Cobb salad. But the chicken sandwich was dry and not tender at all. Cream spinach and baked potatoes were so so. Fries were ok. Price is very reasonable for the location.
This is a business that finds the lowest skilled workers so they can pay the least while simultaneously profiting off the critical mass of people in the area. I literally had to get up from my seat, find cutlery at another table, and hand it out to everyone AFTER entrees had been dropped. I also used the adjacent table as a bussing station for our menus, finished drinks and appetizer plates as their staf doesn’t clear or frame the table. If you want to overpay for food and wine in a dimly lit restaurant with abysmal service and a great location this is the place for you! Whichever corporation owns this place cares about one thing only: MONEY
Just a fantastic meal. Our group of four ordered steak three different ways. They all came out perfect and tasted amazing. Apps were great, we got the ahi tacos, pork meatballs and cheesesteak egg rolls. Only downside here is its quite busy and loud at lunch. If youre not in a booth, its hard to have a normal conversation.
Went with a friend for lunch at noon on a Monday in August. Weather was great, so we were seated outside. We had the cheese steak egg rolls to start with, and they were crispy and delicious. My friend had the branzino and I had the shrimp fettuccine. Everything was great, and service was quick and friendly. Total came to 115$ including tips and taxes.
Excellent restaurant in the very heart of Manhattan. Delicious dishes, polite and professional staff. Congrats!❣️
I’ve been here twice and I have to admit I had the shaved steak sandwich both times because it was so delicious! I love sitting outside with great views of Rockefeller Plaza and the staff have been friendly and attentive each time I’ve visited. The cocktails were tasty and not weak. I would come again for the great location, nice dining atmosphere indoors and outdoors and I’ll probably order the shaved steak sandwich again, yes it’s that good. My son enjoyed his pasta and the appetizer ribs were really good. If you are in the area check it out.
I had dinner there for my birthday and I really enjoyed myself. The food was amazing, I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive. Will definitely be going back!
Ive visted 2 times, first time for lunch and the second for dinner.Drinks are very good, i love their cocktail menu.My favorite is prime rib on the bone, medium perfectly made, and the meat is very high quality.Really recommend, a bit pricey, but if youre looking for a GREAT prime rib in NYC, this is the place.
Appetizers were absolutely delicious. The ahi tuna, calamari and Philly egg rolls were bomb. The steak was good but a bit overcooked. Great experience overall.
Very good place, delicious food, meat specialists. A pleasant atmosphere and incredible attention. The girl was attentive and kind.
Bartender was ridiculously rude. Told us we needed to hurry and order a drink and food because she was closing….at 8:50pm. Service was nonexistent because said bartender was closing, yet a private birthday was being sat. Bartender then charged credit card that she took for holding a tab and presented a check which we paid cash for. Service was horrible, atmosphere was horrible, overall experience beyond horrible. Don’t waste your time…go to Gallagher’s.
Great place to grab a bite when youre visiting Rockefeller center and the Christmas tree. Recommend getting a reservation as the place gets very busy around the holidays.
My guest and I came here during restaurant week. Make sure youre in proper business casual. The lobster bisque was savory. The steak was very flavorful. The birthday dessert on the house was absolutely the crescendo of the meal. Will definitely come again in the future!
This place is just a sad, hollow shell of its former self. We walked in on a Tuesday night at 8pm for a quick post-US Open Dinner. In pre-Covid times, the inside and outside would be packed at this time. Now, the place is empty. The staff was dismissive and seemed to have no interest in earning a good tip. The food was not tasty and was poorly made (of the 4 cheesesteak egg roll pieces, 2 had almost no insides and 2 had regular insides). Compared to the Del Friscos Grill in Denver, this DFG Rockefeller restaurant sucks!
The sticky ribs were good. I liked the scallions and garlic chunks on them. The ambiance of eating outside at Rockefeller was enjoyable. The prices are high but to be expected for the location.
✅ Good Vibes and nice location👤 Reservation is recommended🌮 Ahi Tacos (5/5) recommended, soft and melt in your mouth🍄 Salted mushrooms (5/5) must order🍤 Med Shrimp (5/5)🐟 Dill Salmon (4/5) need more lemon sauce🪑 Seating area is perfect💲 Expensive🚻 Clean
Went for Restaurant week and we actually ended up ordering off both menus and was not disappointed. The food, service and drinks did not disappoint.
The food was good. Our waitress was amazing and on top of everything.
The food was delicious! And great portions for the price. The staff was great and very kind and attentive.
Cold food, horrible drinks……our waiter acted like we were bothering him…… really sucks because we could of went somewhere GREAT for the same $$$$$
We had a great time. Good service. The food was good.
This place is awesome, never thought I would find a steak just as good as S&W. Service by Sheldon, hope I got it correct, was very nice. Professional and knowledgeable. Will be back.
Great steakhouse and quick service!!The food was delicious
Disappointed with the food, the shrimp cocktail were overcooked, the ribeye was overcooked, the mash potatoes had too much of a strong truffle flavor.
I had a bad experience at this place. I ordered the fried chicken sandwill. Breading on the chicken was falling off, Bun was burned from inside. It was Black as coal. I find it highly unprofessional and unethical on part of the chef to serve this substandard dish.
Great food, great service. The only complaint I have is we went for the tomahawk special they advertised for this weekend, only for them not to have it.
The food is very good here, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. This a prefect place to especially if youre visiting Rockefeller Center.
The most delicious steak I ever had a d my server Gerard was absolutely amazing, everything he suggested was perfect, thanks.
Terrible experience. From the ordering process to the payment process and the follow up. I called 2x and the manager who came to the phone didn’t give his name and sound disinterested and almost bother by my call and issue. I expect better in nyc Rockefeller center. The food not what I expected based on the online image and description. I was left unmotivated to return. My issue remain unsolved.
The food was very good. Our waitress Jodie, was kind enough to create a fruit bowl for my granddaughter when she could not find anything to her liking. My granddaughter loved her Shirley Temple. The only thing I did not like is no free drink refills.
Not worth the $250 for two people. The steak was burnt to a crisp, and the other steak that was ordered was under done. Server completely ignored us during the meal where we couldn’t ask for our steaks to be corrected. In a city full of delicious food choose another option. The charcuterie appetizer was the only redeeming quality. It was delicious.
Took my daughter on a weekend trip. Big Del Frisco’s was not open yet. There is a kids menu we learned from our waiter. Daughter had the cheeseburger. I a steak. We also shared mashed potatoes. Our server was attentive and thoughtful.
Our family was there on the 16th of Dec. We came to NYC to take the girls to American Girl. The restaurant was very convenient. We had no reservations but they accommodated a party of 9 in a private room. Everything was wonderful the food, service and atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Bartender extremely rude! Do not go here she absolutely made us feel so uncomfortable
Food was fantastic. Our server, Mary, was amazing. It was very busy but she was still very attentive and in good spirits. Good beer/wine list for an upscale restaurant. Recommend having a reservation. For main dishes, we had the salmon, pork chop, braised rib. For apps we had ahí tuna tacos and the flat bread.
Today me and my boyfriend had been shopping around and stopped to look for something to eat where we found that the closest option was Del Frisco’s, we wanted to make sure that the restaurant did not have a dress code prior to us going there so we called in advance. When we arrived we were seated and they took our order and our card prior to us getting our food. When we asked for the check later, the waitress was a lightskin women with dark hair who we had taken the card in advance had tried to scam the card and take $300 and swipe it when our bill was $120. They had also told us that we looked suspicious because of the “way we were dressed” in which we had a sweater and jeans on. This business was profiling us and being racist. This was so upsetting and I will not being coming back again. Absolutely shameful how a waiter like that obviously doesn’t make enough in her paycheck to try and scam customers.
Must it always resort to this. The ONLY reason for a negative review is because yet again, you cant ever speak to anyone to resolve an issue that they guaranteed wasnt going to be a problem to begin with. But somehow, leaving negative reviews gets you the attention after the fact.Placed and paid for an online order on 12/23. Went to pick up food, which was late, but it was extremely busy and I can understand the delay. The problem started when they handed me a smaller than expected bag and on the paper receipt stated they were out an item. I got 4 people involved to make sure I was going to be refunded and I was assured I would be. The charge was pending, so I waited it out. Now back home, I was in fact charged for the full amount. Ive tried calling the restaurant and all they do is place me on hold for several mins while I wait for the manager and eventually get hung up on. There is no way online to contact the restaurant via email. I cant get this resolved. Even left feedback on Landrys website. Yes, its the cheapest item on the receipt, but I really just get tired of being nice about this crap and brushing it off.Moral of the story is, if you place an online order, pay at the time of pickup (if you can).
Holy cow the food was good. That fillet mignon was cooked to perfection. Servers were all great. Highly recommend.
Food was great, ambiance is nice, even when busy. Unfortunately, my waitress was not so great or nice. We came in on Thanksgiving Day. Yes, she was attentive with getting our orders. However, when it came to the bill, she rudely accosted me regarding the Tip. Heres the situation. The bill came up to $194. I gave $200 to pay, expecting to receive my change back. She then approached me and asked if I enjoyed her service, and I said yes of course why? And she rudely pointed out in front of the whole table how I only gave her a $6 tip when the bill was $200. I told her this was not her tip and we would put money on the table before we leave (I should not even have to explain this to her). She then turned her back on me and walked away. She never came back with the change. Before I left, I gave her $40, which is what we intended to give her. But the fact that she would assume that we would not tip, to do it in front of the table, and then insinuate that I was not respectful of her service was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and classless. I expect so much more from a posh, high end restaurant. Del Frisco... please address this issue.
Prime location near the Rockefeller tree (especially enchanting during Christmas) and a variety of food options make it an outstanding spot for a visit. Recently attended a holiday dinner with clients, and the facility manager, along with the support staff, ensured our team was well taken care of. From appetizers to salads, mains, and desserts, everything was impeccably presented and delicious, do check out the pics for the options we opted for our course.Recommend making a prior appointment as the place tends to get busy in the evening.
We went here for a nice birthday dinner. I was expecting more. This restaurant was underwhelming to say the least. My husband and I both ordered the filet. The filet came out cold, and when it was brought to the attention of the server, all he offered was to heat it up. The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes wete good, but I did not pay 52 plus dollars to eat cold steak. The manager never once came over to check on us. In addition, the filet was over seasoned with salt, it was like chewing a salt lick. It was far from enjoyable. After we brought our concerns to the server nicely, he definitely avoided us for the rest of the night. All in all, I expected more. I was disappointed.
The food is always delicious here, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Cheese steak egg rolls & Ahi tuna Tacos...yasss🙌🏽.
My wife and I live in Baltimore and about twice per year we take a day trip to NYC and we always end the trip with dinner at Del Friscos. The host staff are very welcoming and friendly. The wait staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The food, while expensive (but actually not that bad for New York), is absolutely delicious. My wife is a celiac and she has several gluten free options, though you would never know it if you tasted it.I was going to deduct a star because i guess the ownership changed and they took the chocolate mousse (which is heavenly) off the menu. We politely mentioned this to our waiter, who agreed with our disappointment of it being taken off the menu. The floor manager stopped by our table and said he would check with the kitchen to see what he could do. After paying, as we were getting ready to head to the train ststion, we got a complimentary to-go bag of our favorite chocalte mousse thet the chef made for use. So, the star goes back on, and if i could give this restaurant 6 stars, I would.
We arrived at this restaurant for lunch after a long walk. We were greeted very kindly. The place was not that cool. We were served by Jovak, who is an exceptional waiter, attentive, kind, and careful to recommend the menu items. My wife had chicken for dinner and I had fish and fries, both great. Dessert was New York cheesecake (3.8/5). Espresso. A nice place, with a good atmosphere, good restrooms. I congratulate them, we had a great time.
While this is the best steak I have ever had- the porter house steak specifically, the waiter detracted from the experience and treated like serving us was his side comedy show. He was making jokes that were just rude, at our expense, and unncessary. I came here for the food- not to have a waiter tell awful jokes. He also unncessarily touched all the women in our group even though it was obvious they didnt want to be touched by him. They were yoinger women too. Also- I dont recall signing up for dinner and show. Manager needs to speak to waiters- espcially the ones that work on the top floor- about giving a professional dining experience. The waiter is there to serve th food and if they are making the dining experience about them, then theres an issue. Im not coming there to see the waiter.
We ordered bread pudding but what we got was a thick hardened cake like substance. It was definitely not bread pudding and was not tasty at all. Im not sure why they have it on the menu when they cannot make it properly.
I was visiting from OOT and walked by this place and loved the location (many people walking around) and there were nice tables outside and the inside was also very nice. I chose to sit at the bar. The two bartenders (one male and one female) were excellent. When my starter salad was even a little late, they gave me an extra pour (it wasn’t even that late). Although I was sitting at the bar alone, they still treated me as a VIP. It was even near the end of their shift and I was still treated with patience and care. I ordered the filet and it was EXCELLENT. Much better than the steaks I’ve had at other places in the city that charge WAY more. Nice sear and seasoning. I made sure I left a review because this place left an impression.
December 2024 - Still one star for lack of service.April 2022The manager used foul language around my children when I told him our food runner was rude and acted unprofessional. The manager said he didnt care that my family was a President Club member and actually laughed in my face that it was my problem to have spent so much with Landrys. He told me that he was un-fireable.It is clear that customer service is no longer part of this Landrys restaurant.Oct 2021 (Four Stars)Good food (Philly Cheesesteak Rolls) and half decent service, though the drinks from the bar are more water than drink.
One of my favorite steakhouses and where else can you find Del Frisco’s but New York City. Bone-in Ribeye was cooked perfectly and the au gratin potatoes delicious. Plenty of wine choices. Plus the cocktails where the four finger. Type. Down side after ordering salads and being served we had a long wait for entrees. Otherwise service was good. Next time I’m in New York City Del Frisco’s is on my list for dinner. Yum.
Stopped here before a concert. We needed a quick bite to eat before heading to the show, and I was surprised at how good the food was. The burger is absolutely delicious and flavorful. We also ordered a Burrata salad and the cheese was so fresh and good. Sat at the bar and the bartenders were quick, efficient, and pleasant. Great service. Will come back here for our pre-show bites!!!
Great service and great food everytime we visit here! We always sneak in and find a seat at the bar- during the busy holiday rush… and it is always festive and relaxing. Highly recommend their burgers , martini’s and their sticky ribs!
Excellent Food and Service. Need more light.
Came here with a large group, I ordered vegetarian entrée which was flavorful and filling. The desserts were delicious and our server was friendly and attentive.
We had a reservation, when telling them our name, they kept repeating different names back to us as if we were sure how to pronounce our name. It was very purposeful as if they couldn’t muster up the culture to pronounce a name they’re unfamiliar with, or even make an attempt.Plenty of other restaurants in the area that are respectful and not ignorant and rude.
Sunday was my birthday so my family took me there for dinner. The service and the food was good. The wait staff worked very hard to please us and I Thank them greatly..
Where do I begin? It started off terribly if I can be honest. The hostess looks like she hates her job with every fiber of her soul. We stayed in a hotel near the Rockefeller Center so it was down the street. It was a cold rainy night on 9/29/24. Needless to say it was completely empty. As soon as we walk in shes on her phone. Barely acknowledged us other than to ask do you have a reservation. Mind you shes still on her phone. Kind of thought it was a joke because like I said it was a ghost town in there Im guessing due to the weather. I say well no as I looked around with every table being empty. Which is fine maybe there were reservations that were cancelled. As soon as I say no well you can sit next to the windows. Fine no problem. Still have no idea what her name is to this day or what the restaurant offers based the very little info we received from her. She wears glasses and lives on her phone. Im sure you guys can figure out who that is on your own. We sat down and the waiter Tim is your saving grace of the restaurant. Very gracious and attentive. But as soon as we got our steaks they were completely raw. Not medium rare raw. Like completely raw like a beef tartar. We sent it back. Again Tim was awesome. But this time they completely torched the steaks to where they were almost inedible. We had lost our appetite at this point. $300 bill later we were still hungry and went to a street vendor instead. Complete tourist trap due to the location. Tim deserves to work in a much better place than this and I hope you guys know what kind of waiter you have in him.
Service was slow. But that wasn’t the main issue. I asked for a medium rare burger and it came out well done. So, she fired me up a new one. My fiancée was almost done with his entree by the time it came out. RAW! I expressed my dismay and she was going to send it back again. I ate around the edges and called it a day. The worst part was the waitress told me that was medium rare. It was RAW!!!!
Our first time in NYC and we were not disappointed in having dinner here at this wonderful restaurant! Our waiter Joe was very attentive and the manager Keith made sure all was good while dining…will definitely recommend and return for one of our most memorable steak dinners!
Beautiful location with stunning views. The food was mediocre: lukewarm steak, cold tune that shouldve been medium, bland salmon, the fries were the best part of the whole dinner. Waiter seemed to be lacking proper training or supervision.Tourist trap.
Worth visiting for the great atmosphere, amazing dinner rolls. The salad and mac&cheese were okay
Classy environment, fair prices, generous service. I would be happy to visit it again. Fine coffee, great sweets.
It has changed, the food has, assuming a new chef. But location, drinks, atmosphere remains the same.Shrimp had to much breading, bacon had to much overbearing peppercorn, and the meatballs were bland. Just not the Del Friscos I remember.Still a spot I recommend for those visiting Rockefeller.
Amazing steak and impeccable service. Brian our server was great and made the afternoon loads of fun. Steak was cooked to perfection and very reasonable wine list.
Not bad for a quick bit. Lots of choice nearby.
Sunday lunch. Since Del Frisco only open for dinner, Rock location Grille open by noon for lunch great.NY strip steak bit salty, but burger great, steak sandwich as well. Fish & chip functional.Steak sauce between Peter Lugar sweetness and A1. Onion ring sauce tasty.Part of Texan Landrey family. Enjoyed thoroughly.
What an incredible experience, directly across the street from Rockefeller Plaza. The food was incredible and the staff was even better, if thats possible. I would definitely recommend this establishment. The cleanliness of the establishment was great and the bartender felt like an old friend. Our waitress was very good and service was great, felt like I was at Cheers. Dont miss out if your at the Rockefeller Plaza.
The food was delicious, but the hostesses were so warm and friendly and the Xmas tree was right outside our window, perfect way to see the tree
I don’t know if food and price was worth the money but they met standards. It could have been better. I LOVED their Brussel sprout - highly recommend. We got pretzels for the pre-meal bread. I wouldn’t recommend thanksgiving platter if you’re going around thanksgiving. Two pieces of turkey for 40 bucks. My server didn’t come check on us often for how much we paid her.
Filet mignon was great but had a little too much pepper. Everything else was perfect, we really enjoyed the salmon and shrimp.
Food was excellent was disappointed that I had a time limit to stay to eat.
Good, solid choice for a lunch or dinner. Steak and salad were good, and we were able to be seated on the high top tables without a reservation. Hostess was a little stuck up and didn’t even walk us to a table. Only complaint, server was great.
Great Location near Rockefeller Center and Saint Patricks Cathedral. Food was very good. The service was not so good absent server .
The service was subpar. Waiter would forget our order and then tell us we didnt order it. There is 7 of us and we ordered for the table. Why would he argue with us? We know what wee ordered. Drinks were watered down. Every alcoholic beverage came out this way. Food was over salted and some of the presentation was terrible. And for the price, you would think this place would at least excel at service. Outside of enjoying time with friends, the restaurant was not memorable in a positive way. Will not go back
Great food. Exceptional service. Filet burger is WoW
It’s way too noisy inside, kind of like a crowded bar, but I enjoyed my pasta. The service was not very strong (wasn’t asked how my food was) but the host was very kind.
Excellent food and service. We were pleasantly surprised with both due to the tourist location. Don’t miss the peanut butter pie!
This place is phenomenal right in the heart of Rockefeller center you literally walk out the door and to your right is the Christmas tree! The food is phenomenal the deserts also phenomenal did I mention there steaks are to die for get there whenever your in town!!!
I went yesterday and couple of things didn’t like, the hygiene, the place maybe look pretty but I look under my chair sticky with a broken glass, I told to the lady but she said maybe is ice and she just left. The food was regular it can be eaten, but is NYC should be amazing there are another places around! It is not expensive prices are around 16 to 80.
Del Frisco’s is a nice restaurant near Rockefeller Plaza. The ambiente is modern and cosy. Also the service was cordial and helpful. The food was good but the penne a la vodka had way to much sauce. We ate the Caprese with Burrata and it was very good. I would recomend eating a stake or something though. 4/5 stars.
So disappointing!! We dined here around the same time last year and had such a fabulous experience, this year was awful! We waited 20 mins on water, we only got one drinks order placed, the food was overpriced for the quality and it was COLD. The bathrooms were gross. This place has went extremely down hill which is so disappointing.. would of been one of my top NYC picks before yesterday.
Excellent food, wine list always a bit high but nothing like the Double Eagle around the corner. Truly the smart move fantastic location.
Food and service was great but due to the location lots of tourists. The menu catered more to tourists and didnt have some of the main stays of Del Friscos Double Eagle. Good for a quick meal but for more options and a better atmosphere take a walk to the other location.
Unfortunately this was not the Del Frisco quality I was expecting. The service was poor likely due to being short staffed and one person running around. Server walked away in the midst of ordering aaps so ended up not ordering a lot. Never returned to check on drink refills.Steak was cold and not cooked as asked.Rest of food was also cold including sides.Sat waiting for plates to eat food and steak knives. The topping for the steak came much later then when the food came. Granted they did comp the steak and offer to cook a smaller portion again as well as give us a desert on the house. The experience was disappointing. Was expecting to have a great meal out and definitely didn’t come close. Will not be going back. Have been to other del frisco sites and have had great experiences! Visit the main restaurant instead.
So so bad. We went for an early dinner after the Christmas show at Radio City. Everyone was nice but the food was terrible. They have no kids menu. I ordered my kids chicken sandwiches from the kids menu. Which at least came out hot but we’re poor quality. I ordered the Beyond Burger which was ok, but dry. My husband ordered a steak sandwich. They came out and told us that they were out of steak sandwiches, but had already put in the other meals. So pick something quick. My husband then also ordered a chicken sandwich which came out several minutes after the rest of our food but was ICE cold. I can only assume that the sandwiches were just reheated so they tried to rush it out and didn’t hear it enough. The bun was so hard and stale we switched it out with the bun we took off my my sons sandwich (even though his didn’t have condiments on it) it was slightly better. Overall just a really lousy experience. especially for the price. We would have gotten hotter and just.as good quality food going to Burger King. I do not recommend.
The less-expensive sister restaurant to NYCs Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse is nothing to sneeze at! We accidentally made a reservation here 😂 but were happy we did.The Grille offers a pared down version of the Steakhouse menu, so... if youre looking for the full Del Friscos steak menu or (for dessert) the overrated (dont judge me) butter cake, youll need to head to the Steakhouse. Just make sure you make a reservation for the right Del Friscos.I dont eat meat, so this place worked well for me! I enjoyed a butternut squash bisque, shrimp cocktail and lemon dill salmon entree. I LOVED the huge slice of lemon Doberge cake I was served. I also had a margarita (just okay) and a delicious lemon drop.My husband is very much a carnivore, but he enjoyed the jumbo lump crabcake appetizer and, because he had already had steak twice that week, ordered pan seared scallops. He cannot stop talking about both! He finished his meal with the peanut butter bar, which he enjoyed (but has not mentioned again).Like the Steakhouse, the sides at the Grille are shareable. We selected the truffle mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The service at Del Friscos was perfect! It was a busy Saturday evening, and we were not rushed. The staff was attentive without breathing down our necks while we ate.We would definitely eat there again.
Came in for a quick bite and drink, sat at the bar and the female bartender Keilly suggested the cheesesteak egg rolls. They were so good I will be back again. Great ambiance and food!!
Server was really nice, place was quiet and not busy for lunch even though it was Sunday of a long weekend! I ordered the salmon and it was really light and perfectly cooked, changed asparagus to French fries which were standard. My cousin ordered the chicken and loved the dish too. All in all a good experience. They need to upgrade some of the bench seats as ours has a big turn in the leather
Not recommended.I expected a high-class steak experience but was highly disappointedThe table was worn, steak not cooked properly, and the service was subpar.A $14 salad was about 6 pieces of Stop n Shop lettuce and half a cherry tomato.I would avoid.
Food was great! The place is very dark but service and steak were awesome
We had a great celebratory dinner here with our family. The hostess was friendly and helpful. Tim at the bar was awesome with mixed drinks and Pete our serverl was very professional and attentive to our needs. Everyone at Del Friscos Grille was friendly and made sure we had a memorable experience. Thank you👍🏻
Very disappointed with my experience. i ordered a strawberry lemonade that literally just tasted like water and sliced lemon, cheesesteak egg rolls, and 8oz fillet both were super salty, the insane amount of salt overpowered the meal so wasn’t able to eat it. the mash potatoes were tasteless, just potatoes mashed with butter on top.i literally had to wave done a waiter to get serviced no one comes to you unless you call them over and even then they’ll respond with im not your server so i’ll find the correct server for you.
We sat outside but it was warm enough to have a good time. We could see the Christmas tree! Server was super. She deserved 20% if not more. I like baby back ribs there. Mediterranean shrimps were also good. Its standard here so stars are irrelevant! GO and have a good time w loved ones. Tell the people there you appreciate the for serving you.
Good food and vibes, but the place was too crowded and tables were too close to each other
Great atmosphere & place to spend on your Birthday.... Food was Superb & great drinks 🍸
Came here for the first time for a friends birthday last night. It was a fairly big party, I believe 14-15 of us total, though this is just my take on things.Pros: The place had a good vibe, very relaxed. Servers were nice, no one had an attitude or anything.Cons: When I got to the table, there were already bottles of water present, which is fine. But not a single person at our table was informed that these bottles were $10 each, nor were we offered the option to just get tap water instead. There were several instances of confusion regarding drink and food orders (for some reason there was one person taking orders, but 4-5 different runners for everything from drinks to apps to main courses). When the main courses came out, sides were served first and there was a noticeable delay between that and getting our main dishes (I love a cup of mashed potatoes as much as the next person, but Im not going to start on that while waiting another 5-10 minutes for my steak). I opted for the 8oz filet which was certainly more medium than the medium rare I requested. If this was a Texas Roadhouse, this wouldnt bother me, but if Im paying nearly $50 for something, Id want it to be right. Consistency appeared to be hit or miss as some of us noticed our steaks were overcooked, others just right. At that point, it wasnt worth it to send them back, so we just sat and ate. Then it was time for the check. There was some splitting, but everything was done to make sure it was easy for the server to handle (x amount on a card, heres x in cash, x is the tip, thank you). We look over and theres, again, 4-5 servers around the POS system trying to process this payment. For whatever reason this took another 20-30 minutes. Our reservation was at 6pm, we didnt end up leaving until around 9pm.Overall, the food was good, but it appears the two biggest drawbacks were server communication and consistency in the kitchen. Im giving it 3 stars, couldve just been a bad night.
Sat at the bar. Waited for a bit, service was good otherwise.Suggestion: Those gochujang dipped ribs were ;) ..literally the meat pulled off the bone, you could taste the sauce and wow. For a side, I finished them all with no help. Was so stuffed, I didn’t even eat the chicken sandwich I had ordered as the entree. On a side note:Storytime. The bar was “seat yourself if you can find one”. And a mother came in with her daughter, was told she’s not old enough to sit at bar. So she let her daughter sit on the floor…. Like what? Let the kid sit at a table or go elsewhere.Ok. Story time over.
I was looking forward to having dinner here but unfortunately the service ended up being terrible. We ordered appetizers and entrees and after waiting for 30-45 mins we only received our entrees. Waiter stated he forgot to enter the appetizers. We then realized our steaks were over cooked and the salmon was raw! We asked for a manager and no one brought him over to us. We had to get up and find him. When the manager came over he only took the plate and said he would remove it from the check and that’s it. He walked away and did not even apologize or offer anything else. I wish I took the picture of how raw the salmon was! We couldn’t believe how terrible the service was. This place is way overpriced for the food and the service! I would NOT recommended. You might risk getting sick coming here since they do not care how to serve the food to their customers.
They gave us the worst table in the house, right near the bathrooms, for no obvious reason. Other tables were available. We ordered the cheeseburgers with bacon. The burgers were dry and the bacon was hard as a rock. Even before we had finished our drinks the waiter was eager to see us leave. Why? I have never had this experience before in my life, as if I was beneath someone. I was very disappointed.
Have been to plenty of Delfrisco. Always great food. Last night at the Rockefeller location was exceptional. My server was awesome! When back in NYC I will return to this location.
In the heart of Rockefeller Center. Touristy but a fine example of fine dining in NYC. Food is excellent and service is comparable. Highly recommend
Great entrees, excellent sides, many gluten-free options, wide variety of wines with valid affordable options and prices can go up from that depending on your preference. Server was skilled, efficient and super nice. Would definitely go again. About $50 per person oncluding entree, sides, wine, and no dessert
Waited 20 minutes to only get water served. Would not recommend!
I sat outside and the waiter was nice. The busboys seemed like they were haggard. Not sure why. The wine list by the glass is very limited and the calamari was pretty good it was not fresh and came out of the kitchen Luke warm. Not my favorite place. I will probably not return because for the price it doesn’t rate that high for me.
Outstanding food and service.
Hostess with long, black hair is extremely hostile and rude. We arrived 15 minutes late for our reservation. Empty dining room and still refused to seat us. We sat in the bar. Older bartender was chugging beers. Service was slow. Food was average. The deviled eggs were inedible- tasted like they were made 2 weeks ago. Don’t order those. We still had to pay for them. Very disappointing. Fire that hostess or teach her some empathy.
I dont care what anyone else says, but Carolina, Tim, and Helen make the best martinis in the country. They have great food too and, while expensive in general, is priced reasonably for the area. All of the staff here are wonderful and they make you feel so welcome. This has become one of my go-to restaurants in NYC.
So I went on a Saturday night with reservations didnt have to wait. Once seated it took about 3 minutes for menus and then about 20 mins to ask us for our order. The appetizer and bottle came out in about 10 minutes and then the entrees came in about 1 hour and 15 minutes. They came out and apologized and offered 2 free glasses of wine on the house a which was a great gesture. Lastly the asparagus was overdone and mushy my boyfriend laughed because he said mines was way better. After a $70 steak , mash, and asparagus, and the Mediterranean shrimp entree for my boyfriend, we were left with less then awed.
I like the vibe here especially around the bar area. It doesn’t feel like fine dining unless you sit at the dining tables. You can still order food at the bar section and they have really good variety of different types of food. It gets crowded especially with tourists around 8 pm onwards. It’s right by Rockefeller tree so a very strategic location to take a break in between touring.
Great food great atmosphere and the service is awesome. The manager went above and beyond to make sure our experience was excellent.
Bathrooms were never serviced. Piles of paper towels e everywhere and water on the floor. Even worse when we left.Waitress was very inattentive. Had after we ordered the inky time we saw her was when we waived her down for a second glass of wine, and then she brought the bill.Less than impressed. Food was very good though.
Came here as a last minute change for a friends birthday dinner. The atmosphere is lovely and the decor is beautiful. The staff was very nice. The waitperson who tended to our table, Nick, was very knowledgeable, caring and courteous especially with one of my friends who has a seafood allergy. Would definitely go back to this restaurant again.
We went to celebrate ny sisters birthday, and they were very accommodating. We made the reservation at 9:15pm for a 10pm seating (dont ask). We got a nice table in what my sister called VIP because it was so isolated. Staff wore masks and upheld COVID measures. The food was good, I really liked the calamari, be careful of the fried breaded peppers. Im giving 4 stars because our meal was a little more than $600 with gratuity included for 4 people. We had a glass of wine each, and a shot eat that accounted for about 200 which was fine but $400 for food when we only had an hour to eat. It was too pricey for what we got.
Great food and awesome sirloin steak. Also nice location and great seating. We did have a booth for 6 people.4* because of the service - all a little too hectic and chaotic! The guy who was bringing the steaks from the grill came running to our table and slammed the plates on us.
This would have been five stars because we loved our food but our table was near the restroom which was horrible. People kept lining up, with their butts basically two inches from our table, carrying on loudly like a group of frat guys and totally ignoring masking rules. It went on the entire time we ate. Rude, loud, maskless jerks. We asked our waiter to try and encourage people to line up somewhere else (against the restroom hallway wall vs our table), but no one seemed to listen. It ruined our meal.
A little disappointed that we still had to wait even with reservations. We were seated near the bar where people were standing over us most of the time while we ate so we did not enjoy our experience. Unfortunately for what we paid for our meal it was quite a disappointing evening.
Always a pleasant experience whenever I visit. Im never disappointed. I can suggest this spot for dinner as I did yesterday and everyone enjoyed the food as I expected them to. Our waiter provided excellent service but thats also one of the reasons I frequently return and suggest it to so many others.
Being this was in time square I expected this to be a very robotic experience when it comes to service, however, I was pleasantly surprised from the moment we walked through the door it was quite the opposite. I expected there to be no tables ( which there werent for the remainder of the evening), but the bar is full service and first come first serve. The host from start advised me they were about to seat a couple and that two seats would be available literally immediately when we arrived! Once seated, the bartender was very welcoming and had an outstanding personality. Really made you feel special for the expensive meal I was about to indulge in. My wife and I ordered the ribeye (medium rare) with mashed potatoes and and Mac and cheese. My wifes steak was cooked perfectly, but mine was a tad over cooked. I explained the to the friendly bartender/server and this was quickly rectified and I was soon enjoy a perfectly cooked ribeye. The food in general was outstanding and for the amount of people overflowing into the restaurant, we received our food in a very reasonable time frame. I was overall very satisfied and look forward to Future visits to this establishment.
Highly recommend. This restaurant was great! The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was amazing. We went at Christmas time and sat in the heated outdoor patio area and had a beautiful view of the tree!
Service was unattractive. Ordered a steak and potato and the potato was undercooked and not able to eat it. The cheesesteak egg rolls and steak were good but nothing to booster about
Awesome service! Consistently great food! Steakhouse with an amazing crab cake. Great ambiance. Good for after work meetings. Great bar with menu. Has a private room for a more intimate dining experience. I visit this restaurant at least 4xs a year. I prefer this location to the bigger location on 6th Ave. I often frequent for celebrations. During the winter you can visit Rockefeller for skating and holiday lights. Great for after a show at Radio City Music Hall or after shopping with visiting family and friends. Casual to formal dress appropriate. Highly recommended!
Lots of open tables, but service very slow. We had to ask a server to please find us our server to even get a glass of water when we arrived. The whole meal was like that. One side dish was forgotten, and we asked for it to be removed from bill - because it never came. On the printed bill it said “customer did not like.” Not true - CUSTOMER NEVER RECEIVED ! Music very loud. Like a disco, not a restaurant.
Server was great. Food was another story. We ignored the unrippened tomatoes and brown lettuce on the wedge salads because I get it, things are just opening back up. However, a med rare steak that came well done, I dont think so. After the 2nd try it came nearly black and blue, appetite is now gone, I cant try again. Again, server was great, not her fault. Also, food and drinks came out in a timely matter so that was good. Then the table next to us had to send back 4 steaks all overcooked. Difference is 2 people including the manager came to check on them, neither came to us. I mentioned to the server I found that interesting and low and behold he showed up. This was After we paid. Sorry, nothing to be done now, he never would have came if not for being called on it. So, Im left with nothing but a poorly executed wedge salad and a Michelob Ultra to show for it. Also, I dont recommend the dry short rib pasta my husband had that I forced him to eat (sorry hubby) because I didnt want to add to the situation and he said it wasnt terrible, just very dry so not a glowing recommendation. The burgers seemed to look good so maybe thats a better option for others wanting to give it a shot. For steak, stick to Capital Grille, Benjamins, Ruths Chris, all amazing and youre checked on by management just for satisfaction/customer service purposes, not for sending back food.
So disappointing, used to be a favorite spot. And it literally was an incredibly poor experience this time. The food was barely mediocre, the service was poor. The manager came, noticing that our food was not right, and they offered to redo one of our steaks, the chef took an attempt at it and it was not good either on the second time. We felt that the service was very poor as if you are in a tourist trap location not an icon steak house in New York City. Very unfortunate, always had an incredible experience there. This time was , incredibly bad
This place is crazy around the holidays, but we know better and made reservations 7 weeks in advance to avoid any problem. Had reservations for 10 people at 7pm.First couple arrives at 6:45 to a huge crowd of people waiting for a table, the hostess bluntly tells them that everyone else better be here by 7 or theyll cancel our reservation. All other couples are here before 7 but we still wait 90 minutes to be seated.Food was OK, but for the money, right around the corner is the Yankees restaurant which is much nicer and better. Our annual tradition is moving there next year, tired of being treated as if were an annoyance for showing up to eat.
Food was not worth the price. We go out to eat on Long Island to all the steakhouses, we were excited to try del friscoes. Sides were okay. Waitress was amazing. Restaurant is dark and seems dirty. A pound of dust on the cart right next to the hostess and our first table had food crumbs left over on it. Definitely not worth the $200+ experience.
Great place! Excellent service and amazing food!
The service from Egbert was superb, the food was very good and we can only say that it is a restaurant to visit if you are in New York. If we come back we will visit this restaurant again because of the service we have had from Egbert. Thank you Egbert.
Good place, tasty food, nice location.
Great American restaurant for salads, burgers or steak! Close to a lot of offices so seems more like a office lunch or dinner place but would recommend to anyone. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff is great! We got a few starters and then I tried the wild mushroom and bruschetta salad which was definitely a unique experience!
Perfect way to finish an afternoon off broadway...host was lovely, she gave us a table right away without a reservation. They made a little mistake with my friends cheese and fixed it immediately with no issues....great way to dine!
Delicious deluxe burger :)! For a decent price 22$ sweet potatoes included ! In a very nice venue !
My favorite place in the area. My friend and I made this place as our secret place to go. The food and drinks are awesome, a lot of flavor. Great selection of wines. The service is outstanding in the best New York traditions. The vibe in the place is pleasant: the place is classy without snobbish flavor. It is always a pleasure to comeback here.
Good restaurant, good food, and great service once seated. Went for a family birthday and treated us well! Good selection of dishes! Very lively place - so maybe not the right place for a quiet meal!
Good food in good location but steak on Steak Salad was a little tough. What was irritating is that they charged $5 for a glass of watered-down lemonade, then an additional $5 for a refill - there could not have been more than 10 cents worth of product on that glass.
Good food. Great atmosphere. Always a fun time there.
Food was very tasty and fresh...Prices a bit steep but it was Christmas...Lobster tail could have been bigger for $25...
Amazing food and service. Had a great view of the tree in Rockefeller Center. Wait time was than what was quoted.
Great cocktail by Colin and super dinner service by Tim. The steak was perfect. Outdoor by seating added to the enjoyment.
Honestly I didnt even get to eat here but me and a family member was interested in eating here so we asked the doorman if we needed a reservation to eat here and he said no but this place is really expensive, you might want to go somewhere down the street. We didnt ask him about price or anything so why would you tell us that its too expensive for us? It felt very insulting and just ruined our mood to eat there.
Our server Jose (at the 2nd floor bar tables) exceded my expectations. Food is great but service makes the difference! Highly recommended! Favorite Dish “Tuna Tartare”
I love a good steakhouse. This one was pretty good. I regret that they only had a limited Valentines menu. I definitely have to go back when the full menu is available.
Busy, food was pretty good. Nothing wrong here thus 4 stars. Not outstanding though. Pet peeves of mine, clearly they float the liquor on top of the drinks to make it taste boozy...lame.
The service was the best. Joe served us well. The food was delicious. The meat and vegis were perfecto. The dessert was great. What can we say .. just go and enjoy. Dont miss this experience - a must visit place. We will come back to get some more for sure!!
Excellent service and great vegetarian dishes too even though it’s known for its steak. I got the Beet salad with burrata and shrimp- delicious! Try outdoor seating next to the stage on Rock Center if you can!
Came here after a long day of doing all the New York Christmas must do’s! Needless to say I was very hungry. There was quite a wait but I was able to get a table near the bar as those were first come first serve. The bartender Keilly was very accommodating to my son’s peanut allergy and offered some great recommendations despite the limited menu. Will be back again to enjoy a meal with the incredible view of the tree
I came January 2021 during the pandemic & I was surprised on how well they followed the cdc guidelines for covid. We ordered a steak and it was a bit over cooked. They showed so much hospitality by making an recommendation & replacing the steaks. Great, fast service! I definitely will return
Its a very touristy spot but the service and quality of food makes me want to go back. Although the beer list is small they have some great picks. The Philly Cheesesteak Eggrolls are amazing, the ceasar salad flopped but the meat on the steak sandwich was awesome and probably the best value for money.
The dining experience was great from the moment I entered the establishment. People were welcoming and the food was even better. This was the perfect place to dine after a long day with my FLP program. 100% recommend! 👌
I have been visiting del frisco’s grille since more than 5 years now, for me it was always number One steakhouse in Manhattan New York. My surprise this visit the experience was less positive, service was rather poor this time, it took ages for the waiter to show up, the steak was good but the spinach and mushrooms were less tasty. I hope that the restaurant go back to its high standards in terms of food and service.
Food is great! Great alternative to go to if you cant go to the steakhouse. The food isnt totally the quality of the steakhouse, but definitely better than most other restaurants in the area. The bar here too gets very crowded and its worth it to make a reservation or else you might end up waiting for an house. They also will substitute steak for chicken on the caesar salad!
The food was average however being part of the groups of minorities that were sat in the back by the bathrooms and waiting for a to go dessert for over 20mins after spending a significant amount of money on dinner, made this experience unacceptable. To add insult to injury, they expected us to eat our dessert with our hands as they did not give us utensils.
My fiance and I went up to NYC to celebrate my birthday and decided to go here for dinner (11/17/17). Our waiter (Erubiel) was excellent but our steaks came out extremely burned. We werent too upset and didnt have any intention of making a big deal about it. Our waiter understood and was very empathetic. The manager, however, was by far the rudest person I have ever encountered at a restaurant. (His name is either Jeff or Chad - I couldnt hear too well) That encounter completely put a horrible twist to the celebration. If that is the kind of management this establishment chooses to employ, I do not recommend going there at all.
Ambiance was good, serving staff was great, crab cake was great and thats about it...cuts of meat were good but execution and seasoning and taste was not worth it, also the parmesan fries were probably the worst, honestly, Shake Shack or Zinburgers fries are so much better. Also, there were rather large lines for the bathrooms...place was clean and great location, wish the steaks were better
Late Sunday lunch with the family. Left car at nearby parking garage at $15 per 2hours and walked a block to Del Frisco’s. We enjoyed our savory meal and service. Food and drinks were simply amazing. Our recommendation are the the Crispy Skin Trout, Jumbo crab cake, or the mahi ahi tacos, and lemon dill salmon. Will be back.
My mother and I wound up at Del Friscos after a show at Radio City, I was looking for a place close by that had fantastic reviews and Del Friscos more than lived up to their reputation! We also got to check out the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree because it was right next to the restaurant, which as native New Yorkers is not something we are wont to do because of the crowds, but it was lovely to see it and not be surrounded by tons of people. Del Friscos location is wonderful and close to a lot of things that youd love to see if youre visiting the city or, even if you live here but are taking in the sights.Lets talk about the food though because it was absolutely mouthwateringly delicious and I wish I was there right now. The deviled eggs appetizer were the best deviled eggs I have ever had. The only reason we didnt order more was because we wanted to try more things on the menu and Im thrilled that we did because the sweet corn bisque was divine. It was so good that I was in a war with myself between eating slowly and savoring every spoonful or eating it all immediately because I couldnt stop. It was velvety and so incredibly flavorful and I wish I could eat it every single day of my life. The prime beef short rib stroganoff was so tender that it fell apart at the touch of the fork. It was perfection: delicious and comforting. We ordered the lemon doberge cake for dessert and were shocked at how large it was. It was melt in your mouth decadence and we bough half of it home to eat later. We arent big drinkers but the drinks were also fantastic! The service was great, our waiter was wonderful and happy to accommodate anything we asked. When my mother couldnt decide on a salad dressing he brought out three for her to taste and decide on. I mentioned that I didnt like sour cream when I asked for it removed from my entree and he made sure that my soup was sour cream free which I had missed. Everyone we encountered who worked there was kind and friendly. Two things worth noting:1. The actual menu differs a bit from the website so if you think there isnt anything for you based on the website menu you might be pleasantly surprised by the on site menu. Mostly everything we ordered wasnt on the website menu at all.2. It gets VERY dark inside when they dim the lights. Every table around us, including us, had to use their phones to see the menu and their food once the lights dimmed. One table even had to ask a waiter for a light from his phone because they didnt have smart phones. I am 33 and have had LASIK recently so it was not that bad for me but if you are with anyone who has issues with their sight or are on the older side this may be a big problem.Overall I definitely had a wonderful time and will be going back! Ive been recommending it to everyone I know so if youre thinking about it make a reservation and go!
Good food that will cost you. Bit too crowded and too loud for business dinners but tolerable. Our server did not check back with the temperature of the steak, and I ended up having a medium well steak when I ordered a medium rare, although the steak was still tasty. Ive been to Del Friscos many times when I am in NY on business, and I am kind of sad to see the service quality go down a bit. Not sure if its because the restaurant is becoming a tourist destination, serving one-time customers. I am hoping this was just a bad day...
Very good selection of food choices, at fair prices. Food was delicious, braised beef and filet mignon were our menu choices. The filet mignon melts in your mouth. Very nice atmosphere, family friendly, wait staff was great. Suggest reservations it was very busy
Lets be real, if youre eating here youre either a tourist or expensing a business lunch. Prices reflect that. Otherwise very attentive service and good food. Super crowded for weekday lunches, definitely get a reservation. Has outdoor seating and a bar area as well.
I had their 45 day aged steak, with spinach on the side and a NY cheesecake. It was OK, but I did not taste anything extra either in the quality of their ingredients, preparation or presentation. Therefore I believe it is a bit overpriced.
Decent service, but food is grossly inferior to the main restaurant. My over priced steaks were gonna of fat and salt. We complained but without remedy. Not at these prices. The main location, however, is excellent and always worth every penny.
This restaurant was a life saver in July. Love the Youth Serum Cocktail. Now back in Miami, I try to teach every bartender the recipe! I will request the same in South of France now! Forgot to take pictures:(
Really nice place to pop into with kids. Food was good. Nice vibe. Full bar. No wait. Enjoyed it a lot.
Very good. Went here with my wife after a Sunday night show. Appetizers: Cheese-steak eggrolls, deviled eggs, corn chowder soup - all very good. Entree: Beef Stroganoff - sensational. Dessert - creme brulee cheesecake - wow!!! And it was complimentary - It was our anniversary. Nice touch!!!! Waiter was very good. Ambience was relaxed...not at all stuffy. Location - very good too.
We really enjoyed our meal here. The food was of the same quality the they serve at the DelFresco steak house down the street. The atmosphere was casual and energetic. Definately much more relaxed than the big steakhouses. I will definately be back. We also had outstanding service.
Really great place to dine on Christmas after ice skating in Rockefeller Center and mass at St.Pats. It was a spectacular holiday
Our server Tyler was phenomenal. The food was delicious and Tyler was even better. Thank you.
Del Friscos Grille is one of my personal favorite Go-to spots in the midtown area. They have nearly every kind of beverage you might be looking for. From a Jack an Coke to the world-renounced Louis Xiii Cognac. The wine selection is also quite good. For food, I always order their cheesesteak spring rolls. Those are delicious! And the sauce that comes with it is also delicious! I absolutely recommend this place. It is pricey though.
The 2 stars are for the beautiful view while seated outside on an 80 degree Friday for lunch. The food was barely edible. The lollipop wings were plain gross (Trader Joe’s frozen are much better), the shrimp cocktail for $18 was 4 medium sized shrimp and tasted frozen. The calamari was quite good. The $67 prime bone-in ribeye was ordered medium rare but came closer to medium well. The port foie-gras butter was soupy and like nothing I’ve ever seen before while the $34 ribs were tasty but certainly not good for what you would expect at a Del Frisco’s. Oh, and they dropped our order of fries and forgot to bring mayo as requested, unsurprisingly. Maybe it’s my fault for thinking this was a good steak house, up there with the ranks of all of the other big names in NYC. Thank goodness it was a business lunch and expensed otherwise I might still be nauseous!
Has to be one of the most horrible steaks I have ever eaten. Ordered a medium rare steak and the out side of the steak was so burnt it was not edible. Spoke to the waiter and said that was the way the steak was cooked and was nothing they would do to resolve this issue. Spent over 200 and both mine and my guest steak were horrendous and burnt one the outside. Do not waste your money here. Yuck!
Service was amazing and the ny strip was the best I ever had and i have had plenty of ny steak. Simple seasoning and just amazing flavor. Drew was awesome. Great recommendations and was so friendly and attentive. Will definitely revisit.
Some of the best steak and seafood you will find in the city! I love stopping by here after a skate in Rock center. The crab cakes are amazing as well, no bread on them!!! I have also had a great burger here as well!! Keep it up Del Friscos
The Rib Eye was great, along with the truffle Mac and cheese. My husband couldn’t control himself with the steak, it was delicious Also the cheesesteak bites you should delivery give a try, that aoli took them to another level
Great service.Great food.
Went here for lunch and got three apps - truffle deviled eggs, ahi tuna tacos, and a charcuterie board. Everything was delicious! Only comment is the egg yolk consistency was not very smooth.
Layout/atmosphere*Bar to left of entrance (three TVs) surrounded by high top tables; mostly booths to the right; regular tables towards the back near the wine racksService*Solid bartenderFood/drink*Shaved Steak Sandwich (USDA Top Round Sirloin on French roll, au jus & horseradish on the side) with French fries - good; tender beef; horseradish & jus were solid compliments; on the small side portion wise
My boyfriend and I went out on MLK day to have a nice birthday dinner. As soon as I get there, the girl greeted me, made me feel so welcome. And we got seated in the nice corner with the heater outside. Ordered NY strips which was great and prepared perfectly with Brussels sprouts, mash, and Asparagus. And sweet henny dragon was awesome!Ria, our server was so friendly and attentive, she’s the best! Totally worth every penny and deserve 25% even more!! Definitely will come back again.
We were were there 11/14/19. The food was excellent but the service was incredibly slow. I put the date because I dont know if it was understaffed for some reason, a very busy, or a combo of both. I would definitely try it again though
This is a very nice restaurant. The food is good as is the service. It is important to note that this is not the same as the Double Eagle restaurant that is nearby. I would say the quality of the food is as high but the food is more casual and also is reflected that way in the prices.
Well i must say, after all the hype in the reviews it was such a disapointmentThe food was great, although the service people rave about was none existent at best. Our server took a drinks and food order, come back with food and then a final time to ask if we wanted any more drinksNot once was i asked how my day was, how is the food or thanks for comingPoor poor poor experience
I was very appreciative that the city started to added police in the area and started again to get NYC the security it deserves after all this years...
