Way too overpriced mediocre food. It was ok but not for what we paid. Plus there are so many better Greek places in the neighborhood. Also beware they close at 8 pm on Sundays- we made a reservation for 7 and they were mopping the floors while we waited for food and had to eat fast.

Great neighborhood gem!The main restaurant is so lovely. Complex Mediterranean fare with a very hip flare.Excellent service. Back patio is awesome! This restaurant has been around long before the area transformed, and yet remains true to itself.I love coming here. Only ‘downside’ is that you have to pay a (fair) high price for such excellence. But it’s worth it.

I can’t be to happy about this place. All their signature cocktails are premixed. Takes away from watching the mixology occur. The service was pretty awful, I was the only customer at the bar and had to flag someone down each time I needed service. Three stars because the drinks were okay. Just not a true cocktail bar experience. Place has potential. Hope they can add more quality.

Not worth the 1 hr wait time and the price. We were a large group and were expecting good food at the end of 1 hr wait. The cod salad I got was mediocre at best, with the cod tasting stale. Henry, my dear friend who got the cod tacos felt the same. Some of my team members didn’t even finish their meal as you can see in pictures . Henry (again) didn’t get his glass of water. All this when you are paying premium prices!

Just came for the beer—-the brewery side (next door) wasn’t open so I tried the bar. Very nice and helpful lady inside. Bartender wasn’t so friendly but still nice. Only about 5 of their own beers were available and all seem to be 14 oz pours from $9-14 each.Decent but not spectacular. If you’re in the area and really craving a fresh brewery beer than go, otherwise I’m not sure it’s worth going out of the way for.

The servers here we so helpful and accommodating to our group. Several of the people in our group were going to a Broadway show immediately after dinner and the waitress helped us pick out dishes that wouldnt take too long to prepare so that they could make it to their show on time. On top of the amazing servicd the food was quite yummy and the restaurant itself was really cool, especially the backyard where you could eat. There was moody lighting and interesting art. Pretty good drinks. Often very loud. Outdoor space out back for events. Edit: Owner wrote a pretty snippy response to my original review because I didnt post it in a timely manner.Ive worked in 10 Hudson Yards - about two blocks away - since 2017. My team had several events here, and this strangely aggressive interaction is pretty typical of the kind of service and interactions we had with the manager and owner (wait staff were always great). Even though I would avoid death ave for events I still enjoyed dropping by after work occasionally. Id kind of forgotten about the reasons behind the event thing. Im writing a more complete review to hopefully help other people avoid a frustrating experience. The specialty cocktails - especially the banana-infused bourbon when its in stock - are quite good but very expensive. Theres also an attached in-house brewery which is decent. The food is fine but overpriced.

I recently discovered this charming little wine store tucked away in the heart of NYC, and it has quickly become my go-to destination for all things wine. From the moment you step inside, its evident that the owners passion for wine permeates every corner of this establishment. The owners expertise in the world of wine is truly remarkable. Their vast knowledge and deep understanding of different wine regions, grape varietals, and flavor profiles are evident in every conversation Ive had with them. Whether youre a wine connoisseur or a novice enthusiast, youll find their guidance invaluable in making the perfect selection. One of the standout features of this store is the wide selection of wines from all over the world. Its like taking a global tour through vineyards and wineries, right here in NYC. From the rich, full-bodied reds of Bordeaux to the crisp and refreshing whites of New Zealand, they have something to satisfy every palate and occasion. Its an absolute delight to explore their shelves and discover hidden gems from both renowned and lesser-known vineyards. The store itself exudes an inviting and cozy ambiance. The well-organized displays make it easy to navigate and find exactly what youre looking for. The staff members are friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer recommendations or answer any questions you may have. Their genuine enthusiasm for wine creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets this place apart from larger, impersonal wine retailers. In addition to the exceptional wine selection, this store also hosts regular tastings and events that provide an opportunity to expand your knowledge and explore new flavors. These events are well-organized and thoughtfully curated, providing a fantastic way to engage with the wine community and connect with other enthusiasts. As a wine lover, finding a store like this feels like stumbling upon a hidden treasure. The owners expertise, combined with the impressive range of wines, creates an experience that is both educational and enjoyable. Whether youre seeking a bottle for a special occasion, looking to broaden your wine horizons, or simply want to indulge in a well-deserved glass of vino, this small wine store is an absolute must-visit.I highly recommend this establishment to anyone in search of exceptional wines and a personalized experience. Trust me, you wont be disappointed!

Pretty place. Cool name. The beers were good. Abysmal icky reheated, frozen, food. Souvlaki tacos were sloppy and stuck to the taco holder, frozen fries, like freezer burned. The oregano salt was in a pile on top which the waiter spilled all over the table and left there . Not just a bit of salt, like a tablespoon at least, all over the table. There’s a super gross corn side dish. It was so very bad we sent it straight back. Got the bill and waited 20 minutes for our waiter to return to take the nasty corn dish off the bill. Finally, I called the restaurant to ask them to please attend to our bill so we could leave. It was just plain bad, y’all. Nice place for ambiance and beer. Eat elsewhere.

My review is aimed at the manager. I’m a local and have been here at least ten times. I can’t believe how terrible it is every time I come here. And we keep trying. And every time it’s something different that makes it even worse.Below the the general complaints. Today was the worst experience yet... today is the weekend Hudson Yards opened, St Patrick’s Day celebrations, the first nice weather weekend, and one of the big basketball weekeNds.... and this place RAN OUT OF FOOD at 3pm. And they have ZERO OF FIVE TVs on (literally they were black). This place is a disaster. The music, the food, the service are all terrible.1.. it’s never clear if there are servers for the tables or not. Sometimes you go to the bar to order. Sometimes not.2. the servers are so terrible. So so rude. Every female server has been awful. And today she (yes, only one waitress) was wearing workout clothes that were incredibly unflattering.3. Music is terrible. Most of the time it’s some weird non-American music.4. Food - I have been here ten times and three of those times they told me “no food” being served. I asked why - because they ran outThis place is a disaster.

We were pretty underwhelmed with Death Ave Brewery. The waitress or hostess was not very friendly and simply wanted to know if we were eating or drinking. The words Welcome never passed her lips. She assigned us to a table and, after we sat down and started reading the menus, another waiter told us that we couldnt sit there and had to move to the back.We asked for a flight of beers so we could sample. They dont have that. I ordered a beer from the food menu. They didnt have that either. In fact, we should have been looking at a 3rd menu for the beer selection. (They only have 4.) The waiter brought 4 samples. This was very nice of him.The beers were watery at best. My wife and I are former brewers. I think Death Aves beers are targetting the Bud Light and fruit punch crowd. We decided to leave because we couldnt land on a beer that wed enjoy.I dont hate this place, they just seem unprofessional and they need a new brewmaster. The word underwhelmed describes our experience the best.

My boyfriend and I split the spinach salad (slightly overdressed, but otherwise good), then I had the coconut shrimp (served with three interesting and flavorful sauces) and corn manouri; the bf opted for a simple feta cheese burger with fries. All food perfectly prepared. Definitely high-priced, so would recommend for date night or a special occasion.

First and foremost, the outside area in the back is pretty great. That alone is its saving grace. But Ill be honest not a place I expect to go back to. For a place called a Brewing company I was surprised to see that they only had 4 beers on draft. And even then they were pretty average beers. The service was OK as long as you are just going over to grab your own drinks or bottle of wine from the bar.Be forewarned, they will add an automatic gratuity to your bill. Which did seem a bit odd. I guess they have to garuntee that for the minimal service they offer.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR HAPPY HOUR**** Ehh, I went to the Happy hour. Drinks were decent. Had the jalapeno margarita. Flatbread was good. However, I am not sure what kind of Happy hour they are advertising but.. 12 dollars is really not a happy hour price for a drink that costs 14. Especially when the tequila is house made (meaning they put cheap tequila and infuse it with jalapenos). My bill for a single individual at a happy hour with flatbread, 2 drinks and a shot cost me almost 70 bucks. I wouldnt recommend this place for a happy hour spot. Maybe its super overpriced because theyre trying to appeal to non-native new yorkers? I gave 2 stars because the bartender was nice and the flatbread was decent.

Charging 12$ for a amateur quality saison, or 22$ for two tacos with some eggplant, some fries and uninspired ketchup, is quite steep. Neither the beers nor the food work. I get that this is a high price area, but then you cant just phone it in.

Food is quite good but customer service was very bad, we didn’t feel welcome at any time, it seems they were doing a favor to serve us. Beers were not up to standard and a 3% customer service is automatically charged to your bill. I won’t be back

Cosy craft beer bar with decent dishes.Friendly attentive staff who have good knowledge about the beers and food. The prices are on the higher side but you do get good quality drinks and food for your money. So treat yourself!Week day evenings are the busiest since it is a spot for after work drinks.Would recommend the truffle fries for a snack or the tacos are also great! The portions are not so big so order accordingly.

Nice venue and decor - outdoor patio area. I get prices are high in NYC but don’t understand how you can charge $12 for a 12 oz beer ($11 + tax) when most other places are charging $7-$9 for a pint — that’s close to 100% more than average NYC draft beer prices; food price high too. The juicy IPA beer I had was decent but nothing special....won’t becoming back.

Loved the music and really nice looking bar. Unfortunately we waited for 15 minutes for our drinks although we were the first guests to arrive. A velvet curtain around the door would help keep the cold wind out.Great Bloody Mary once it arrived...Food was nice but no healthy/simple option like avocado toast.... want to stay and keep listening to great 80ies music.

Review for the restaurant, not the bar. The Souvla tacos with sausage are amazing along with the truffle fries. We came 2 times on a Sunday night and it was very quiet. The service was great as well. I tried their pumpkin beer and session IPA. I really enjoyed both. The only negative is that is a pricey for what you get but I would still go back because its so good.
