Badass dive, remnant of the old LES. If you’re not into punk or the history of this neighborhood, it won’t impress. Neither will you.

Boogie was a fantastic bartender. This is a great punk bar! Loved the service, the conversation, and while the bathrooms smelled a little bad, there was soap and toilet paper in them which is a win :) I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a good punk bar in Brooklyn!

Great time, if you’re looking for a no frills dive bar with good people around you, this is the place.

This bar had affordable drinks and a good playlist, your typical punk dive bar. My only concern was there was a significant fruit fly problem in the bathroom. Like a hundred of them flying around. All for dirty dives but that was gross.

They scammed me! Charging $15 additional dollars 2 days after I went to the bar. Thankfully I have proof of what I was originally charged for and my bank is disputing the transaction. Beware of using cards here!!!!

$7 for a Casamigos and Soda? Either I stepped into a time machine or this bartender is getting fired soon. This place is a dump but I’ll be back!

My lady and I had so much fun here, we missed a tour of the Tenement Museum and a Yankees game. A+ dive. Will visit again.

Reasonable priced drinks in a place festered w/ punk graffiti and rock decor, definitely a place to call home. The bartenders always on the ready, the tunes always blaring but not annoying. If the Joker was real this is the place where he will hang night after night before and after bashing Batman. Charge your anarchist batteries in this power house of conventional sense defying.

One of the best and cheapest dive bars in lower Manhattan. Always fun, great bartenders, and filled with characters in every corner. Cant beat the prices or the location. Right up from the F line. Highly recommend it, just dont be pretentious.

Good place for a drink

They stay open late af. Really chill. They play great music. Bathrooms are decent. Bartenders are cool and really attentive.

Clockwork is a beautifully defaced Lower East Side dive with cozy corners for hanging out in small groups.

Great spot for after dinner drinks. My bf is into punk rock music, so I thought I would surprise him and bring him here. He loved it and we are coming back again. The bartender was super funny and gave the place a fun vibe.

Had this place recommended by a friend. Entered with a group of 6 ppl and the bartender checked all of our ids but the last man In our group was from London and only had his passport and the bartender refused to even look at it. This place is not welcome to foreigners rlly don’t recommend visiting.

Best music ever, (HCNY, Oi!, punk rock) and cheap beer

This is a go for the I’ve been there before experience. Definitely dicey, definitely tiny. No music playing when I was there but wouldn’t matter since the small crowd of about 7 was way louder than anything else. Yes beers are “cheap” but you’re paying $4-8 for a 12oz can Similarly, the draft beers at around $7 seem cheap but are poured into those 8oz plastic cups so they’re really $14 a pint. A one and done for me.

Great dive bar.Good music and cheap drinks in a low class setting. Graffiti and stickers all over the walls, eclectic crowd, and still sell Genesee beer.Staff was attentive. Actually a few bathrooms downstairs that werent taken up the entire time.Went on a Saturday night and it wasnt too crowded but, with how thin the space is Im sure its not hard for it to fill up fast.Stop by if you want cheap drinks and no frills.

A cool non-pretentious place, great underground/punk-rock vibe and music. Its not too big so it might get crowded fast on weekends. The alcohol is definitely one of the cheapest options youll find in that area, and their pickle-shot is something cool (albeit weird) to try out when youre there.

The whole bar smells a dirty mop and hot dog water. Idk if they’re cutting corners with mop what else are they cutting corners with . It’s giving unhygienic .

What can I say? Clockwork is an excellent punk dive on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.One of my favorite places in NY: bartenders are always friendly, the music is always top-notch, the vibe is punk/dive, and the drinks are cheap! You truly can’t ask for more ✌🏽

Cool little dive bar. I just happened to be walking past and it had just opened, so I was the only customer so hard to comment on atmosphere, but the playlist was great! Beer was good and bar staff was friendly.

Passed by this place randomly and we had a great time. The bartender Joe was super friendly and made us feel right at home and the frozen margaritas were just the right thing to beat the heat. They also have hotdogs which is a plus.

I went to the bar tonight, and I asked for a cup of popcorn. The bartender refuses to give me the popcorn because I didnt tip the bartender. I always pay for my usual drinks. I was really insulted. Ive been a regular customer for a year now (Circa April 2017- March 2018) and I am very disappointed.I did love going to that bar but I’ve never been denied service for rookie mistakes.

Strolled by here by chance during the early afternoon while coming off a party drunk from the night before and looking for a noodle joint for eats. Just me, the bartender and another patron, getting breezy n boozy. Crazy mad fun, just like New York moments should be. I might have a different experience coming here deliberately at a different time (and I WILL be going back, trust that) but for now, five stars for being perfect when I didnt know I needed it! 👍🏾

Other than that, very hip and crowded bar, but a good time to be had. Just wished it was a little bigger, so that I can sip on my Gin & Coconut without having it spill all over my friends as people tug and shove around us.

Great bar, every normal drink is around $6 and has a great vibe if youre into divey punky bars, I highly recommend the pickle back with a beer combo for $7

Definitely a dive bar!!! They were slammed and you wouldnt be able to tell from the street. Small area with lots of graffiti. $3 Budweiser and shot really sold us on the place

This dive bar has a lot of cheap drinks. The beer is cheaper than most places in this neighborhood. If your looking for a chill place with cheap drinks to hang out with friends this is the place. There are tables to sit it. The beer here is around $6 and you can’t get a shot of whiskey with the beer for $2.

Entire bar smells like vomit

The most standard mediocre dive Ive been to. It isnt a good dive bar but it aint bad either.

Funky bar with a wide range of ages. Somewhat on the small side so it can get crowded but it had a good vibe and inexpensive drinks.

DIVE BAR!! This tiny hole in the wall is lively and fun. Dont expect a seat or to host a large crowd.

Got pretty hammered so my recollection might not be the best. However, I remembered they had a good beer and shot combo. $7 shots so me and a friend took turns taking shots with each other. The place is a little small but other then that would probably go again.

Clockwork Bar is a dive bar. Its the perfect place to pregame, or if youre just looking for a few drinks. Where else can you find pickle-backs or a shot + beer (house liquor + Budweiser) for $5? And this isn just during happy hour - its ALL DAY. Clockwork is not for the type of nights where you want to sit and catch up with your friends and have a chill night. It is for the type of nights where you have had a long ass week, everyone is getting on your last damn nerve, and you want to have many, many drinks, without breaking the bank.Will definitely be back the next time I have one of those latter nights.

Good cheap drinks and a nice grungy type atmosphere. If you want a quiet table to yourself this is the wrong bar but if you want to go hard with some friends and maybe meet some other people this might be the place. Kinda cramped youll definitely have to push past people on a busy night but still ultimately a good time

Red lit and grungy, this hole in the wall retreat really made an alternative feel comfortable. I didnt have to strain to hear my date, even with the bar decently full, and the tab didnt make it my only outing that week.

Stepping inside the narrow, graffiti-ed walls of Clockwork is like stepping into a favorite hole in the wall circa 1981: intense, wired men with their heavily made up girlfriends in fishnets rock out to a mix of The Heartbreakers, James Chance and The Contortions and the occasional Rolling Stones and Kiss songs (true, the same bar might not have played the latter two in 82, but time has passed). But this place is not self-conscious or tragic. Its defiant, but welcoming. Just come here and have some fun.

$3 bud + well shot. Best deal in NYC. Feel like Im back in KY. Pickle back shot was great too.

Pretty chill place with 90s punk aesthetic. However, can be small and cramped at times, although interactions with people here were pretty great.
