Very disrespectful at the door even though a guest list was prepared for a reservation. The bar itself is nothing special but we wanted to make a reservation. They treated very poorly and overall the experience was poor. Would not recommend. Bar workers are amazing though.

Wasnt too bad. Bartender was nice, a little slow for my liking, especially when the amount of people there did not warrant my wait but friendly nonetheless. I waited a while to get the check and mentioned that and he apologized and got me a shot for the wait so I appreciated that. The cocktails were basic. Dont think id go back but mainly because i was just a basic experience. Id recommend you go once though and see if its your vibe. The spot is pretty

The DJ was incredibly difficult to work with. Every time we requested a song he responded with rude words. Sometimes he flat out said “no”. At one point the birthday boy asked for a song and he said “are you asking me or telling me?”. The comments got worse and worse every time. We wanted to report to the manager but didn’t want to cause a scene during the birthday. I am completely appalled at the way we were treated. This DJ needs to be fired.

STAY AWAY. If youre thinking about renting a space here for your a private event, DONT DO IT. Literally pick ANYWHERE ELSE. There is a reason why this place has so many bad reviews.I put down a deposit for a private space at Chloe81 and 5 hours before my event, I got an email saying that my space was no longer private and the deposit was just to guarantee us entry into the bar. When I expressed my concerns (very politely) and told the event manager (Em Kouger) that I was so excited to have my party there, she responded with take your party elsewhere. I dont need to argue with you. The security guards get paid more than your deposit. I was not even arguing, I was just trying to rectify the situation. But she was so insanely rude for no reason and tried to make me feel like less-than.If you want your night ruined, book here.*I highly recommend renting Sidneys Five for a private event. They saved my night after Chloe81 nearly ruined it. The staff there were so nice and the owner lets you play your own music AND decorate if its for a special occasion. Highly, highly recommend.

I had the best time at this place celebrating a birthday! Super fun vibes and great atmosphere. On top of all that, my phone was misplaced. I came back the next day and despite being closed, their events coordinator, M, helped me get my phone back on his day off. The customer service was 11/10 and got my phone back with all my cards in it. Unheard of in NY! Thank you

I had the absolute best birthday party at Chloe 81!! They were so accommodating and communicated with me leading up to the event. Always very quick to respond and let me come early to set up decorations. They even had a DJ come. It was epic!

Dj was so horrible I paid for one drink and left. The weirdest combination of music I’ve ever heard- almost impressive that every song he played could suck so bad. Also impressive that instead of mixing one song into the next, it sounded as though he would simply press “pause” on one song and then transition into the next by pressing “play”. Bad smelly place

This place is horrific. Awful, disgusting, likely worst bar Ive ever been to in NYC. The staff is racist and racially profiled Black girls for wearing hats, which is against bar policy, singling out 2 individual women and forcing them to leave. The drinks were undrinkable given the sickening mixer, and there was no phone service remotely in the bar. Would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

Was here Friday night for my friend’s birthday. He rented the downstairs / basement portion and it was a fun night until the DJ was being super rude to us and didn’t allow any song requests. It’s 1 thing if we go for a venue but a simple song request shouldn’t charge 30$.. Killed the vibes

DO NOT BOOK AN EVENT HERE!!! The staff here is disrespectful and racist. And, they just want to take your money. You will not get your own space (that you were promised) and you will practically be paying money to get treated poorly and belittled. I have nothing good to say about Chloe81. Absolutely awful place and people. Just stay away.

Tried reaching out to their booking people more than a month and a half before my event. No response even after following up over 8 times over a couple of weeks. Just a simple no is necessary...be professional

In early August 2021 I achieved total enlightenment and transcended to my current form of disembodied consciousness while dining at this restaurant. The bouncer power tripped more than usual. He enjoyed flirting with the girls but still wouldnt let them in quickly even though they were on the list. Def wont go back just because of that guy.

Dont come here for birthdays/ events. They shark everyone and overbook, and dont even let your guests come in. Full of suits ready to start a fight.

Upon arrival, the bouncer asked me where I was staying during my visit. I declined to answer, and he refused to let me in. Very inappropriate line of questioning.

Hosted my engagement party on the lower floor and the team was amazing to work with. The space was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and we had two dedicated bartenders and a DJ who were all attentive and great. The team was flexible and accommodating, definitely recommend for private events!

Had my birthday party here & was amazing! They were very accommodating & nice. The bodyguards outside were very sweet as was the staff inside. They played music we liked & let us bring in a cake and some decorations. 10/10 would recommend!

We held our holiday party here and it was perfect for our needs! The food, atmosphere, food, and DJ were great, and the staff was the best!

Had my birthday here recently and it was a great experience! Em was super communicative, the place was clean and private, and security made sure only my invited guests were welcome in which was super appreciated. Would come back for another event in the future!

Attended a private event here. Security was in a bad mood before any of us arrived and several people said they were aggressive when stepping out to make calls. I stepped outside just to ask if there was re-entry and was yelled at. One security started pushing me and trying to force me out of the gate. He also tried to start unprovoked fights with several people who were leaving. I’ve never experienced anything like it.It was completely unacceptable even for a night out at any bar, but especially since this was a private event. Never coming back, that’s for sure.

DO NOT BOOK AN EVENT HERE. My friend had her engagement party here last weekend & Chloe 81 double-booked her event with a birthday party in the same room. Staff is awful. Every bartender and bouncer we encountered here was extremely rude and disrespectful.

Was here for a private event. The dj was horrible and just rude. We told him at the beginning of the night our group was into edm and he just ignored us and would play Taylor swift and when we would ask him to play a song he told us it would be $30. I get if we were at a night club you can’t do requests, but we had a small private event.
