Bread ‘n’ Wine is by far my favorite NYC restaurant, entertainment, wine + cocktail hot spot! The menu holds delicious, hearty, exotic + healthy choices, especially the “bag-o-(white)fish, cheeseburger, + beef goulash entres.I visit most Tuesdays between 6:30-9:30pm to groove on jazz from fabulous Dennis Alan Trio. Music also provided Friday + Saturday nights. Finally, Paul + Oscar have got to be the best + most charming servers in all of NYC!
This is one of my favorite restaurants, a huge fan of the food, the staff, the wonderful atmosphere, always a delight. That changed last Friday, April 6, 2024, when ordered 2 bassa fish sandwiches to-go and received them undercooked. The middle part of the fish was completely uncooked and and different color. Wasn’t in a place where we could cook it further so had to throw it out. What a waste.Sent an email that same evening to restaurant with pics and no reply, so here we are. Sorry to blast one of my favorite places, but not even an acknowledgment? Undercooked seafood is not something I can get over, we could have gotten really sick if not paying attention.I want my money back, please get in contact with me. Not calling and getting hung up on, a la previous reviewer.
This place is not a bad restaurant, but Id say its average. I think the food was decent, it was tasty, but I would not go again as I can name a lot of better tasting breakfast joints around the city. I thought that the omellete was a bit bland and lacked salt, as well as the hash that I got. My favourite dish on the menu was the French toast.
This is my go-to spot in my neighborhood. The pick two with the roast turkey sandwich and the chicken paprikash soup is my standard order. The prices are reasonable and the food is always really good. For the most part, the same people have worked there for quite a while and they are friendly, so its easy to start to feel like a regular.
Every neighborhood needs a warm place like Bread N Wine where locals can hang out, have a meal and drink a glass of wine, The food is good and the servers are friendly.
Wow! What a great meal! Our server did a great job with recommendations and we were very happy with our fesenjoon (my choice) and the Papprikash soup. And their bread was fabulous too!
I have loved ordering carry out from and eating at this restaurant for the past few years. However, tonight the $10 smoothie was water with sugar, and the rest of the food had ingredients substituted that didn’t work well (think cooked romaine lettuce instead of spinach). When I called to let them know about the different quality of the food, they hung up on me. I figured it’d be better to share with them directly than post publicly here, but not when met with such a response as that’s not how you should treat customers who have had a bad experience. However, normally their food is good! I just wouldn’t suggest eating at or ordering takeout here on weekend nights, as I believe the busyness affects the food quality.
My friend’s wife discovered this local gem recently. Sandwiches and soup always hit the spot and you can’t beat the Cabernet, especially at these happy hour prices.Parvez is a really nice man and always an excellent host.
I ordered a Mediterranean Salad just an hour ago. First of all, i have a customer of this restaurant since they open for business in Lex. I even know the owner whom I consider a friend. Every time, I come to eat i always order Mediterranean salad and nothing else because it is really good and delicious, the felafel is fesh, and presentation is really mouth watering. BUT, this afternoon that is not the salad i am expecting. Moreso, i have waited for half an hour for my order. The attendant came to me the reason it was late because they are COOKING FRESH FELAFEL. And when my order came thw felafel is cold like it came out from FREEZER, the plating is beyond my expectation. but i did finish some of the salad. Unfortunately, i did not bring my phone with me so i could take a picture of the bottom of the romaine which is included in my salad. I showed it yo the attendant and ask him if he can it eat!!! He should it to the cook and apologize😡. So disappointed because the restaurant i used to love is now going to the drain. I will never be surprised if one day they will close. This post is not to discredit the restaurant but I want the management to the people who works with you is not being careful to their work.
I had the best Philly Cheesesteak sandwich here last week. Wow!
Im not a big fan of sandwiches, but this place is outstanding. I loved my solo lunch date there, everything was top-notch, Im so glad its not too far from my job. I cant waitit to go again 🥳🤌🏾
My go to local lunch spot, the Cuban is amazing, as is the chicken noodle soup, and the happy hour is a great value!
Nice, cozy place. Good food. Nice vibe. Friendly service. Also located in a quieter section of the city. Only downside there is only 1 bathroom (in total).
Everything is amazing here! The bread they use is incredible and all the ingredients and flavours are extremely fresh. I really enjoy the slow roasted chicken sandwich. The French onion soup and chicken noodle soup were great as well. My boyfriend is a vegetarian and loved the cheese sandwich. The coffee is great too.
I was not a fan of the pop country music, but other than that this place was a real treat. It has a feel somewhere halfway between a nice deli and a standard restaurant but with plenty of fancy, creative menu items without an overload of options. Very reasonable prices. Perfect for a lunch. I had one of the best Cuban sandwiches I’ve had in my life, my wife had the roasted chicken sandwich and that was really delicious as well. The bread texture was just perfectly right, and their house sauces and seasonings add a flavorful but not overpowering distinction. Our server was also exceedingly pleasant and attentive. We will definitely be back next time that we’re in the area.
Just picked my mom from the ER, wanted a piece of Salmon for her dinner. I paid $20 plus a $5 tip and this is what I got. Never again
I recently dined at Bread and Wine, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that felt both cozy and elegant. The menu is a delightful blend of creative dishes and classic favorites. I started with the artisanal bread basket, which was fresh and perfectly paired with a selection of house-made spreads. For the main course, I had the roasted duck, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The wine selection is impressive, featuring a variety of local and international options that cater to all tastes. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me choose the perfect pairing for my meal.To top it all off, I couldn’t resist trying the chocolate torte for dessert, and it was pure bliss—rich, indulgent, and a perfect end to the meal.Overall, Bread and Wine offers an exceptional dining experience with outstanding food, attentive service, and a lovely ambiance. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu!
Called asking about outdoor seating and spoke with a very rude employee. I simply asked about outdoor seating and was shocked by this lady’s attitude over a quick question. It’s unfortunate this is a local spot, could have been a nice place if it weren’t for aggressive employees steering me away.
We had a group of 10 here for lunch to celebrate a birthday. We had looked around for a few restaurants in the area that could accommodate. The folks at Bread & Wine were welcoming of us, had a large table setup for when we arrived, they catered to our unwieldy crowd, and were very gracious. We enjoyed the small intimate space, friendly staff, delicious food, and great service.Id highly recommend this spot. Casual enough for a quick bite or a lingering coffee, turned lunch, turned drinks & dinner, intimate enough to have that neighborhood favorite feel too.
We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay - the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake and I got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasnt happy with my omelette because the spicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasnt tea based but rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk.In terms of our overall experience we felt by the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money to pay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we still added the tip to our credit card - 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business next door overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill - he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that the money wasnt counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt that way, shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start to finish, hence the 2 star review.
Yes yes yes. This place is great, its fantastic, I love it. I chose it because of its high rating, and I was not disappointed. Excellent sandwiches, and soup, and wine. I was so hungry that ordered two sandwiches and a soup, they helped me correct my order to have only half of each sandwich, because a full sandwich is already big enough. That was true, my halves looked like full size burgers. They were delicious and healthy. Not so much fat as in burgers for sure. The soup was also fantastic. Excellent selection of wines. What can be better than a good soup with a great sandwich and a glass of wine.
We dined here a few times. Wow fantastic! Love the laid back atmosphere, no rush, friendly service, fantastic food, and great drink options. We love how Breakfast is served all day asking with lunch and dinner options. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are available. Fresh bread, meat, soups, salads, breakfast, and dinner options are available. The prices are so reasonable!
Great service, wonderful live music, and delicious sandwiches! A little light on the portions but overall I would recommend a visit here for sure :)
Been there with my girlfriend, we shared fried chicken as an appetizer, then she took a chicken noodles soup and I took a customized salad, you can just order whatever you want, up to 5 toppings are included for 14$. The food was delicious, they were fast and gentle. We finished with a cheesecake and a chocolate cream, both very good. We got there late cause we saw that there had been a live exhibition. The check was 60$ total, very good value for money.
Solid menu with a good ambiance and value. I ordered the turkey sandwich and Persian soup. The soup was unique, perhaps a bit too minted, but a hearty, thick bowl of grains and veggies. Service was a bit slow but we came very early, at the front of lunch.
Great value and they also have live music!! The owner and staff are welcoming and warm. The food is tasty and the prices on drinks are really solid. You can have a fun night out and not break the bank here. Love!
Ive walked by here several times but since I dont drink I just keep walking (since it is called Bread and WINE). Today I noticed a menu outside the door and I was planning on grabbing lunch while out on errands. The prices looked great so I gave it a try. I ordered a Cuban and Hungarian Chicken soup. It was plenty of food to share with the boyfriend. The Cuban was awesome! The fresh bread really made it special. The soup was good, loaded with tons of chicken. Im watching my salt intake and was pleasantly surprised the soup was only lightly salted. Service was great and all working had masks firmly in place. Ill add this to my lunch rotation. Its worth the 10 block walk. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that the offer Gluten Free bread. YAY!!!
I chose the custom salad, with kale, apple, chicken, onion, and goat cheese. the salad was amazing, and you could tell the ingredients were really fresh. they also give you some bread on the side, which was just as good. i took my salad to go and enjoyed it in front of a beautiful view in central park. a wonderful lunch.
Loved this restaurant, teh appetizers are amazing, and any sandwich you pick will be amazing. As the name implies they have wine, but they also have beer. Servers are also very cool. Desserts are also amazing. If you are willing to spend 40 dollars a person then eat here.
Came here for lunch while out in the city for the day. I had the French onion soup and a glass of wine. No joke, the best onion soup Ive ever tasted in my life! It was incredibly flavorful. I could taste the fresh herbs in it. Cant wait to go back.
This restaurant has so many interesting and delicious options and the bread is SO GOOD. Meat, fish, and vegetarian sandwiches, Persian meatballs, chicken stew, French onion soup, I have yet to order something I didn’t like. I’m especially particular about ambiance and this place is 10/10 for vibe - spacious yet cozy, good lighting + decor, friendly staff, heated outdoor seating, nice music and even sometimes live music!
Chicken soup was great, very flavorful. Staff was great as well. Only issue was, ordered a large latte and there was at least two inches of froth on it, which was almost half the cup. By the time I got down to the actual coffee, it was lukewarm. I don’t know, maybe people really like that much froth?
Great prices and food but no air conditioner
Theyve very good bread, in my opinion - would recommend their sandwiches. Personal favorites are the falafel sandwich and the caprese sandwich.Music on a couple nights of the week.Dont go if youre in a hurry. Nice place to sit and relax and take your time.
OMG!Bread and wine is an upper east side gem right on Lexington Avenue! We were looking for a bite to eat after going to the Cooper Hewitt and came upon this spot and decided on a sandwich and soup...and a couple of glasses soft wine.Definitely try 1/2 a sandwich and soup offering as I choose the grilled salmon and it was delicious! They have a great wine selection to choose from as well as outdoor seating and a well priced menu.Definitely worth the upper East side visit after an afternoon and either the Guggenheim or the Cooper Hewitt.
Super lovely place with friendly, attentive staff and fresh and delicious food. The bread alone is AMAZING! Highly recommend the Hungarian Chicken Stew or Grilled Salmon Sandwich, both were great.
The ambiance, service, selections of wine are all superb... I usually get the Cabernet + the salmon with curry sauce and their veg soups!!! Everything is always on point and I frequent as often as I am able! Their menu is fun to explore, cant wait to try something new next time!
Great little place near 92nd St Y. Food and service was amazing. Had a Chai Latte like never before, so good!
Absolutely floored at good our lunch here was. Enjoyed the soup and sandwich combo enormously, and the soup tasted perfect. The drip coffee was EXCELLENT- clearly will go back again for dinner
Really sub-par food with very tense service. Soup came out cold and then server incorrectly sad it’s chilled (and then checked with the chef). Coffee then comes out cold too. I replaced meat in my sandwich. Was not notified of an up-charge and the server still added on a charge that he was finally very rude about. Will not be returning.
The food was good but the portions were sadly quite small, we all left not fully satieted. Cool decor, lots of space even to bring a stroller inside. Pleasant service.
Im a big fan of the craft your own sandwich. Really nice place and good food. Can accommodate gluten free easily
Wonderful little place, with delicious food. The restaurant itself is very unassuming — perhaps a little reorganization may be warranted — but the food and service is impeccable. I had lunch on Park Ave at a pretty pricey restaurant and was nowhere near as impressed by the food as I was here. Would recommend highly.
This is a great addition to the neighborhood. The food is excellent, the service is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely. It is obvious they take pride in their food and use high quality ingredients. I’ll be back soon and often.
Absolutely excellent curry chicken sandwich - its like a chicken salad sandwich (its got cranberries and celery), but then has got warm curry chicken that surprisingly works really well.Staff is friendly too, great place to hang around and have a cup of coffee or glass of wine.
Yummy food, nice environment and the staff was incredibly friendly! The only thing is you could tell they were understaffed so the service was a bit delayed. Other than that, a cute spot worth visiting!
This place is nuts. Best sandwich and soup you’ll ever have.
Excellent sandwich, salad and white or red sangria.
Great spot for a casual meal. Had the Sicilian sandwich and lemonade. I’ll be back for more of their super tasty sandwiches and meals. Also the wine!
The best sandwiches in the area - the curried chicken is my personal favorite but none have disappointed. Good coffee and great happy hour deals, make this truly a spot for any occasion!
Great spot for a casual meal. The onion soup and Cuban sandwich I had werent the best Ive ever tried, but for the price and considering its the UES, its a pretty good deal. I especially like that one can get half of any sandwich in their menu. They also have pretty good happy hour specials!
The combo of the half soup half sandwich is just awesome. You get for a really good price two large portion, its just the perfect meal. The salmon sandwich and the onion soup were the best in my opinion. Super fresh and made on the spot.I just have to say it takes a lot of time to the food get to the table. But it is worth the wait, we went there twice because we loved it so much.
Excellent sangria! COVID friendly outdoor dining. Inexpensive and good value for the money. Handicapped accessible
Cubano sandwich very good but the home fries I ordered on the side stole the show, sooooo good. The iced latte was also first rate
Came for the first time on Tuesday night with my husband. Great service, very good wine! We will come back!
The person at the counter was very polite and nice! The sandwich was delicious and not exhorbitantly expensive. I waited for a quick 10 min. Would come back for sure
This is a great casual spot to stop in for a sandwich and a drink. They have an option where you can pick 2 (sandwich/soup/salad). I come here roughly once a week and the staff is very accommodating. I typically get the slow roasted chicken sandwich with a side of their beet salad which is very delicious.
Honestly some of the best soup and coffee I’ve had in NY! Staff were so friendly and accommodating. A new local for us
Amazing, the bread here is out of this world. Had the beet and goat cheese salad and Salmon sandwich and both were way better than expected. Very generous with salad toppings and a subtle vinaigrette. Perfectly cooked salmon as well.
Wow! The Jamaican curry salmon was wonderful
Very good food and service, They use amazing ham bread and cheese so any dishes using these are amazing Jambon de France and Cuban are great !
I loved this place on Friday Happy Hour with live music. The meat balls appetizer were perfec. The beef talharini was good too. The beer was not very cold but its ok. Five stars.
I needed a place for a quick bite in the area. This place popped up on my search. I had a turkey sandwich and a glass of wine. Both were good but not exceptional. Given the neighborhood the price was fair. The service was casual but attentive.
Really enjoyed Bread N Wine. We stayed for several wines and we ate. A great experience and a must visit for wine and food in NY.
I love the live music and the food. They have really good coffee also.
Slow service. Not the best onion soup I had.
Lamb curry was delicious
Very friendly and efficient staff. Service and food was superb
Great ambiance, friendly staff, good sandwiches. I had the cuban, highly recommend it.
Great neighborhood place! Im a returning fan. Very casual so its easy to pop in as you are. Enjoy! I do every time.
Great fresh food, great management & wonderful staff. Ask how to order delivery NOT using Seamless! It will save you plenty.
The French Onion soup was one of the best Ive had. Wait staff were kind and personable.
This place has an amazing vibe! The service and food is incredible! My favorite spot in the Upper East Side!
Fast, kind tastes great
Got the sabich sandwich. No complaints but it didnt particularly impress either
Great home fries potatoes, great wine and great serviceNice place here in the neighborhood
Great gluten free vegetarian options. Really friendly staff, and really nice casual atmosphere.
Add A Star For the Live Music. Sax, Piano & Bass Trio were very entertaining.
Have been regularly eating here for a while now and have seen a real step down in terms of quality and service. Sometimes my food comes out perfect, but then other times its missing essential parts of meals, etc. I mean after spending over twenty bucks I want my bacon flatbread to have a significant amount of bacon on it, not something that feels rushed and half finished. Not to mention, even when there are basically no guests in the establishment the food always takes a significantly long time, even for small side dishes or appetizers.
The food is great very friendly staff, I really realy enjoyed it
Comfy place with decent food and kind service. Good, chill vibe. Great for unpretentious lunching
Great, delicious food
Really cute place! Has good coffee and wine. The soup/salad/sandwich combo is a nice pick for lunch!
Awesome local spot. Loved food, wine, street view. A MUST to visit
Great little sandwich shop. I really enjoyed the lamb sandwich with gruyere cheese.
Good value, delicious food with a focus on soups, salads and sandwiches. Flafel sandwich was yummy and the French lentil soup was good too.
Creative sandwiches made with high quality ingredients, and excellent coffee too.
Great place! So tasty and great service
Stopped by with my wife on a Saturday afternoon. Menu has many choices - sandwiches, soups, etc. Large selection of beers and other beverages. Wait staff was very welcoming and service conscious. Definitely a great neighborhood spot.
Really good food and the service is great! Very friendly place.
Great place from an Italian- London colleague
Great place with delicious food. Our server Nina was beyond accommodating and we really felt welcomed. Will definitely be back.
Lets start with the good: their bread, chocolate mousse and chai latte was delicious! However, their french onion soup is NOT french onion soup. Its like they took broth from another one of their soups (there were carrots in it!) and put some onions in it. And it has a bizarre flavor - there was an abundance of cumin in it. Didnt taste like onion soup at all. Then I ordered the cuban sandwich which came drenched in this cuman/lime sauce and it was HORRIBLE. The sauce was so overwhelmed with the taste of cumin that you couldnt enjoy the other flavors. Plus it was dripping out all over my plate. Maybe if they just put a little, it wouldnt be that bad. Not sure I will visit this establishment again. Maybe for just dessert and chai.
Chill comfortable neighborhood option. Nice varied menue. Good wines, pleasant staff, -1star bc there were multiple mix ups on the order, wrong dish, missing round of wine last time I was there. Live music some nights. Kids menu available. Good option for casual dining.
Good place, fair price close to Central Park!
Delicious sandwiches and friendly staff. Feels like the Village downtown.
A good place near Central Park with good beers and nice dishes. Really good prices, too. And the personnel is friendly and funny. A place where you will not be disappointed.
Nice place with excellent coffee and very good expertly prepared food and sandwich options. I was pleasantly surprised to see a bicerin on a coffee menu, but less impressed with it being served in an opaque cappuccino cup. The taste, however, was passably close to a real bicerin.
Service is on pont. Enjoying the live jazz music. Having a bottle of French wine with crab cake.
Meh! I am surprised by the high reviews as they are the reason I came here. Food was underwhelming. French onion soup was generic. Cute place for a glass of wine though.
Awesome sandwiches in a very discrete storefront next to a grocery store. The sandwiches are well made twists on some standard favorites like a Cuban or a grilled chicken on a roll. The soups also looked delicious. Service was really friendly and fast. They had a cute outdoor sidewalk setup too. Highly recommended.
Great place, super nice staff !You can have half of a sandwich and half of another one, which is perfect !Coffee is very good too !I recommend this place.
The food is amazing
Excellent place & staff! Ayan & manger they were both very gracious. Their menu is very creative and will highly recommend their soups 🍲
Absolutely delicious food!! The bread is amazing and homemade. Servers went above and beyond to serve us. Would recommend to tourists and locals! For tourists just a few blocks from Central Park! Worth the walk there.
Food was amazing, service was so so sweet and attentive, outdoor seating is really cute, and prices are great. The sandwiches are YUM and so are the soups!!! So awesome and I will come back when I’m back in NYC !
The food was decent. menu is a mishmosh. if you can find something on the menu that you want it will be ok. seems to lack desirable dishes and has some strange spaghetti dishes thrown in
Not good quality food, drink and service!!!
Had both the Cuban Sandwich and the Roasted chicken Sandwich and they were both amazing. The soups while hearty are not as impressive though good theyre not packing the flavor and wow factor of the sandwiches. FIVE stars for the sandwiches but Id give the soups a 3.
We ordered a wide range of food for an early dinner and everything was supremely well-seasoned, dressed, and delicious. The service was amazing, as well. I wish we could have eaten more! Would definitely come back.
Excellent lunch quality, diversity of options, and prices. Wish they had one on the UWS. 🥲
Good coffee! The taste of foods are good.Worth it.
This is one of my favorite go-to spots in the neighborhood for sandwiches. I haven’t had one that wasn’t delicious. They had awesome gluten free bread. I went back a few days ago and apparently they’ve redone it because it was THE best gf bread I’ve ever had. Even better than before and I thought it was great before.
My wife discovered this place a while ago and it’s simply amazing! Every time we come here, the service is impeccable, the food is to die for and the owner could not be more genuine and friendly. Everything about this place is a 5 star class act, while neither overly expensive nor at all pretentious. Every sandwich and soup we have tried was a unique explosion of delicious flavors and the happy hour is unheard of in this neighborhood. Do yourself a favor and come here! They are also perfectly COVID compliant and will make you feel safe, not crowding people or tables next to each other.
This place is absolutely charming and the food is delish! Their Cuban is worth the trip but the relaxed ambiance and great happy hour is also quite luring, not to mention the sangria. The owner is usually on site and is so attentive. Really worth a visit, you are sure to come back.
Best sandwiches Ive had in NYC, hands down. The Leg of Lamb and Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches are my favorites, but you cant go wrong with the selection. They also have great happy hour deals and delicious sangria when youre in the mood for a longer brunch!
Bread good, service terrible, waited 20 min for a chicken soup that had no chicken. Asked for chicken took another 8 min. No one came to ask if all ok. So sad they actually don’t care
Great food, fast service. Staff is very nice.
Super casual cafe dishing up a diverse and delicious set of menu items. Big portions but lots of great options to tailor to your preference. A neighborhood hem.
This is my FAVORITE cafe in Carnegie Hill! Staff is always friendly and accommodating, the ambiance is cozy and clean, and I love that you can choose to do a half-sandwich by its self, or paired up with a delicious soup or home-made salad. Fresh, and super tasty, Im so glad these guys are open again. Best Cubano and French onion soup ! Awesome selection of wines. Thank you guys!
The fish sandwich and the chicken pepper soup 10/10 FIRE AS HELL
Very pleasant music on Wednesday night. Food wasnt great.
Phenomenal place - reasonable food, magical ambience and amazing music. A true gem of the UES!!
I really enjoyed the Cuban sandwich! The potato Stix for fries was a little odd. Nice atmosphere
Love everything about this place: the warm service, homey ambience, unpretentious vibe, the food! You can also check out my review/feature on YouTube (armanikolas).
This is favorite lunch spot on the UES. I’ve brought many people here and all have been impressed with the quality of food, portions, and price. A go-to!
Excellent food and service. Their gluten free bread for their sandwiches is so good. I got a half sandwich and half salad. I was also pleased that they had oat milk for their lattes.
Delicious food and extremely friendly staff!
Absolutely the worst meal I’ve ever had. Over priced And inedible. It’s also called bread n wine but the bread was stale and disgusting? Would give this place zero stars if I could.
Remarkable lunch menu.. service 5 star and food 5+... will definitely make this my regular spot.. thank you for coming to the neighborhood
A place with wine in its name, should know how to serve a glass without pieces of cork flowing.onion soup was ok. was hoping to get it in bread
Waited upwards of 90 minutes for a mediocre ham and cheese, would not recommend
Very small portions..limited menu..food was good but just too little for the money. Small drinks too!Wouldnt go back.
The definition of a vibe. Live music outside, cozy inside, a great place for brunch, dinner, or drinking too much wine with friends.
Had a good time at the restaurant, romantic, good food and stuff was very receptive.
Went for a lunch with my husband, great sandwich selection!
A true local leader
Wanted to like this place but the service and food were disappointing. After messing up my order, it took 20 minutes to replace my bowl of soup and it didn’t even taste good.
I had the chicken pomegranate stew on their weekend Persian Night. It was amazing. My girlfriend got the French onion soup, which had a unique rich flavor.
Food was good, but service needs to be improved. Was not busy and the server was very inattentive and not communicative on available options.
This is an amazing place to get breakfast or lunch or to have a tea, coffee or snack. One of the gems of the area. Best of all, they respect public school teachers and provide a great discount to teachers and students!
Good ambience and environment. Good service and decent food.
Wow. What a find on Lex. Everything was fantastic from wine, service, live music entrees to prices. See you soon again
Very good. Food is not expensive and flavorful. Ordering on their website was easy.
This place needs some help, the waiter was by himself, even the place want full,We still waited 20 mins after we order for the drinks and 35mins for food. Sandwich was okay, French onion was cold with a piece of sandwich cheese flowed on top, no heated, no melted. Most of the customers were tired of waiting, had to walked up to the counter asked the bills and paid. They need to hire more help.
I had a good experience with my wife and 3 years old daughter. Decent food and service
Good foodGood serviceWaited a bit for the foodReasonable price
Great food excellent and healthy choices. The tuna with egg was sooo good! My new favorite place!
This place has a wide-ranging menu and delicious food. I had (and loved) the falafel salad and persian soup. I highly recommend it!
Thank you soo much to Parvez and his Team!!!. For the past 2+ months, every day, I have had Bread N Wine cater the doctors and staff at Mt Sinia (appx 15 ppl) where our friend was being hospitalized. The attention to detail and creativeness with the menu items, to ensure the staff was excited every day was boundless. Parvez also went out of his way in many other ways that we are grateful for. Our friend definitely got preferential treatment because of his food! I truly believe G-d had me randomly find Parvez as he is a hidden gem in such a large city. I feel (know) Parvez helped us more, then us helping him during these crazy times for the restaurant industry. Thank you again for everything.
The turkey sandwich was absolutely delicious. Definitely a new go-to and a great addition to the area!
Just the friendliest neighborhood place with incredible sandwiches.
The food was fresh and good.
I love your soups and vegetarian sandwiches- so fresh, delicious, and crunchy!
Best home made cooking here @Bread N Wine..
Good food and very friendly staff
Favorite sandwich place in the UES!
My new go to. Food is really good.
Nice place good food friendly staff love this place
Excellent food and great soups.
Great local place with lovely owner.
Great live music!
Good people , great people
Just a great place!!!
Simple and good
Nice place
Delicious food
Food in perfect condition, very quick response time and everything in very good taste! Recommended. Nothing heavy.
Decent restaurant that allows nice customization of salads and sandwiches.
Very good place. They respect the covid protocols and Brian is very kind to serve, always attentive to what you need.Advisable.
Great sandwich and espresso coffee!
