Super cozy Christmas vibes, great wine selection, food was VERY good. This is the kind of place I’d want to be a regular at. Will be back!
They say great service can make any experience awesome, and thats what happened with us last night at Bin 71.We had booked Parm for dinner but got to the area super early, so we thought well just get a drink and chill at Bin71 till then.We met Rebecca when we entered and were sat at the bar. Rebecca from the word go was the sweetest. My wife wanted to try rosé and Rebecca got us to taste at least two different Rosé and walked us through the rest of them patiently and so kindly we ended up getting a bottle. We also ordered the burrata pesto toast. The place was dimly and cutely lit, decent space and everyone seemed to know each other. So the vibes were very cozy and homey.Overall it was a great experience, thanks to Rebecca!
Four of us met for wine and lunch. Great selection of wines, charcuterie board was tasty, tho small. Everyone enjoyed their meal; I had shrimp, white beans over arugula. Delish.
Great wine bar with good choice of food. I like that there is a lot of seating options both outdoor street/sidewalk plus indoor. A lot of friends shared positive reviews and it was well patroned which were both green flags for me. There are definitely lots of menu options. The dishes I had were tasty but overall pretty basic flavors. Solid spot!
The wine, atmosphere and food were all SPECTACULAR. We were blown away by the food, especially the portions. The service was also amazing. It is seat yourself, and you have to really assert yourself to a table, but it’s worth it! Ps the Kale Caesar was AMAZING! Homemade dressing and fresh greens
We got a table outside, split a bottle of Cava, bratwurst plate, and a burger on a nice fall day, and it was a perfect afternoon on the Upper West Side.
Tiny place, the service was good but the dishes were salty!
Sidewalk dining great for people watching and eavesdropping. The food is delicious and the drinks keep a smile on your face. Great service, friendly staff, stop by for a while.
Only had a couple of drinks. A bit pricey, but, there was a good atmosphere.
Great atmosphere and a cute bar. Prices pretty high for a glass of wine similar to every other place in NYC right now. But if that’s okay, this is a really cute little bar to go hang out on a Friday evening!
Good food, nice people, broad wine selection…definitely a recommendation for a relaxed lunch or a nice evening out. Was there on a Sunday when there Columbus Av was closed which gave it a special atmosphere. I had the fennel sausage with kale, tomatoes and cannellini beans (super!) and mi wife the prosciutto panini (really good snack). Other reviewers talked about rude staff, but we’ve only interacted with lovely people…so just get there, as it’s good!!
A small and intimate inside atmosphere, with outside seating available. I dont drink wine, but if I did, they have a great selection. The food was amazing. Its not quantity of food here, but rather, quality!
I never leave reviews but Marco was so rude! We were here for less than an hour and had been handed the bill when there were multiple empty tables at the restaurant to accommodate a 4-person party who chose to sit at a 2-person table. Don’t come here for a relaxing time!
Amazing atmosphere and service. Very friendly and personable. A wide selection of wines and a few very nice beers too!
Lovely wine selection and ambiance.
Sizable list of tastey wines. Great cheese plate. Cozy, relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Delicious food. Great wine selection, and savvy waitstaff helped us find a great red wine for our meal. Just wish the place was bigger so I can easily secure a seat!Kale Caesar was delicious, Cheese plates always go well with wine.
The best place to grab a glass of wine, delicious food and the staff is fantastic. The best UWS neighborhood feel you can find
If there’s a zero star rating it will get it. One of the witch like servers/owners humiliated me in front of the other diners should not work in the hospitality industry. She may go to a go go bar to serve Scott tissues. We were out enjoying the afternoon sun the day before Memorial Day and were drawn by the beautiful lounge singer performing in the crazily busy restaurant next door. Seeing empty tables at this establishment, we waited to see who can talk to for a seat. After 5 minutes without being greeted, I walked in to ask for a table when I saw this witch come out with a pen and note book. I extended 3 fingers and said “table for 3 please”. She appeared startled but she was looking straight me as she was walking out. She said something like what do you want and stared at me without saying anything. Anyway, this is just a sign of a deteriorating society. A random person wanting to spend money at a restaurant has to be humiliated and, if stayed, has to beg for business. Rich neighborhood? Rotten core? Stay away.
Great service. Great food.
I went to the city to visit my girlfriend and this quaint, but trendy wine-bar caught my eye. Size doesnt matter; right? Well this proves it! This small wine-bar not only had a great selection of wine, but had an excellent dinner menu. The available outdoor seating was the perfect touch to a relaxing and enjoyable evening with the woman I love. Thank you Bin 71 for a nice experience in the city!
Food and wine very good - always a lot of people but perhaps the worst service ive ever had at a casual neighborhood spot.there was no waiter or waitress to be found took 30min just to order food
This place is brilliant! The wines are exceptional, the staff is friendly and quick, and the food is oddly delicious! We had the burger and it is now one of my top 5 burgers in NYC.
This is a great place, with great food and fantastic service. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday there yesterday and Lawrence and team were so accommodating. A blast had by all and all said they would come back because the food was so good.
Went today....great atmosphere, classy but totally unpretentious. Eclectic menu, and variety of wines - I had nice dark beer on tap. Toasty outside with heaters....in December.....
Came there twice, and will never again. While the bartenders were very nice and the place does have good wines, there is very rude host at the front who just ruined the experience for me, twice! I have a licensed service dog with me, and the guy tried trowing us out. Made a scene. Absolutely rude, unkind, oh yeah and did I mention illegal...?!?!
Great spot! Food is very, very good. The menu is well thought-out and prepared with care. Really great wine list, and everyone is passionate about it and very helpful.
Stopped in for a quick beer and a snack and was very pleasantly surprised! A nice collection of 5 craft beers on tap, and the food was lovely. Got a smoked salmon and horseradish creme fraiche crostini, and it was great! Light horseradish flavor adding to the smoked salmon without overpowering it.
Nice unique wine selection, great tapas dishes, and driendly, knowledgeable staff all in a quaint, european style wine bar. Its small, but thats its charm. The Tagliatelle w/veal ragu is other-worldy.
A wonderful place for a patio glass of exceptional wine while people watching. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and stayed for hours. The staff were kind, attentive, and helpful. We would certainly go back!
Inventive. tasty. good serviceordered octopus very good and gazpacho with crab meat was more like a mexican tortilla soup cause they add corn and avocado but loved it.
Was rushed out of there. It was my last time seeing my friend before moving and the server literally said they needed the table. It hadn’t even been an hour and a half. We got the hint based on her “service”. I tried to talk to the “manager” about it but before I could finish he cut me off and said “okay, thanks. Bye.” Very rude. I will not be back there again.
I popped in for a long overdue glass of Wine with my longtime friend since Covid-19 hit us. Its a little pricey but on par for the neighborhood. The bar is a little tight, so if you want to sit, get there when they open. The wine selection is excellent and my choice was delicious.
A cozy place with a great service and yummy food!
Always a great local wine bar to stop into! Also, the food is very good as well!
Very lovely wine bar on the UWS. Serving a wide variety of wines and beers.
Very exciting place !
Quaint neighborhood wine bar with a nice, but limited food menu. Great people watching spot!
Cute and VERY small wine bar with a great selection of wines serving delicious Gnocchi with Bolognese sauce and White Anchovy and Tomato Crostini.
Small space, but a great neighborhood staple. Good luck trying to get a seat Thursday through the weekend, but if you go early its worth it.
Great little spot with interesting wine selection and fantastic service! Worth a visit.
Great spot for a beer outside on a sunny day
We love it❤️
They ran out of many things on the menu. The salad was good though, just a little overdressed.
A little neighborhood cafe with decent bar food and good drinks. Can get quite crowded and noisy most evenings close to a weekend.
Great place for wine. They have a pretty good list. Small place with outdoor seating. The food was wonderful and paired perfectly with our wine.
Knowledgeable on the wines by the glass, less so on the bottle list. Good selection of both.
Cosy little wine bar!
Very nice place to meet up with a friend and have a good Glass of wine.
We had great service and the most delicious chicken panini sandwich!
Hidden gem of the Upper West Side. Always have interesting wines, great beer, and a solid selection of European dishes. Baked oysters are by favorite hands down. Great burgers too.
Closed a little early, great staff and love the place and reasonable priced drinks.
Great selection of quality wines. The ladies who were serving were so welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this place!
The best wine bar in the Upper West Side! Such a friendly neighborhood joint with an extensive selection of food and wines. My wife and I go here consistently, and we always have a great time.
Love the bar, prob my favorite hangout but it closes too early on Fri and Sat nights. Dont know why as they would still have a great business and make more $$$ by staying open later.
My go to wine bar. Good selection of a wide variety of wines. Lots of delicious small and large plates. Very few snacks though. Charcuterie and cheese, salads, meatballs, burrata pesto, grilled cheese, all are great. Every seat has a different experience but all are cozy. Just wish they were open later Friday and Saturday.
Decent wine selection, but got a bit of attitude when we weren’t on the recommended pace of 1 glass every 10 minutes. Oh well, is quite cramped anyway.
Great wine and food&friendliest stuff makes you feel like you are home .
Great food but disappointed to see my bank debit does not match what the receipt states.
Cute wine spot that’s cozy with good selection of wine. Place get filled up quickly though and gets quite busy
Great location. Solid menu to nosh
I love this place. Super kind staff, will let you linger to enjoy your food & drink without a rush out. Small inside but cozy, and there’s outdoor seating as well. Never had food from here I didn’t enjoy.
Intimate. Fantastic array of wines. Great bartenders
Really great place to have a nice meal and wine.
Very cool and very nice choice
I am equal amounts upset and in awe of these people. By far the strangest way anyone has ever been rude to me. Food is okay. Super cramped - it’s absurd to even suggest otherwise - but the corner is a nice place to seat.
Extensive menu. Great wines & good. Terrific staff. Will definitely be back!
We had an absolute blast watching the Kentucky derby here before dinner reservations. Great staff and great wine for a reasonable price.
Ive never walked into a new place before and have been made to feel more at home. Fantastic food and lovely wine list.
Horrible experience at this place!! Awful food, their fries and some other things were clearly frozen food. When I got the check, I noticed that they included more drinks than we actually had plus they already included the tip without telling us in case we didn’t notice so they got double tip. Finally, I forgot my helmet there and I left when they were closing but when I called the morning after they told me that it wasn’t there and they are not responsible for personal belongings left there - clearly the restaurant’s staff took it. There are plenty of great restaurants on the UWS with much better food and way nicer staff so unless you want to get scammed don’t go here!
Really really really spot on. If you’re looking for authentic neighborhood chill vibe with the personal touch. Find yourself to this tiny throwback room to sip on some carefully selected wines or beer. The food is thoughtful and tasty as well. Simply really good.
Very rude waiter. Didn’t help a single bit with doubts about the menu. Left without even eating there.
Last call at 9:30pm on Saturday Night. Sat down at 9:45pm and asked to leave. Recommended sister restaurant on 75th. Rude waitress and bartender. Operating hours misleading.
Service needs improvement but food is good.
Great location. Outdoor seating a huge plus. Portions are a bit small but food tastes great. Prices are reasonable.
When you go, ask for Kim. Shes the best.
UWS institution, its a spot to see and to be seen! Always busy and bustling...
First time there. Great food, tried their new lamb burger. Kim the bartender was so friendly. Delicious wine. Looking forward to going back.
Great wine bar on the UWS. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Wines are well priced and recommend the cheese and meat platter - very substantial and perfect for 2 or 3.
Cute little spot with great wine list
Rude and impersonal. Manager lacks heart. Treating older person with rigidity because they are older and slower is unpleasant. Add lousy and overpriced wine choice. I feel the hype is because there is not much alternative nearby, so in relative terms it can be ok (on a good day, when they don’t rush you out), but in absolute - not worth it.Plus the block always has tons of garbage. Not my idea of nice glass of wine outside next to pile of garbage bags (shall I add smelly in the summer)
Great local wine bar. They have a rotating selection of wines and provide great recommendations. Recommend that you make a reservation.
Love this spot. Loads of charm, delicious food and drinks, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
The best gazpacho I have ever had.
Why did you stop the burger?? You had one of the best in town with amazing Parmesan rosemary friesSuch a bad move
Great wine selection and eats. We had the clams and caprese salad, sweet for dessert, great ambiance at night and cozy
A nice little neighborhood joint if youre in the mood for some wine/beer and small plates. Try the meatballs in white wine and finish off with a hot crepe.
Speak easy good place to hang out and have great beer and wine
Lively Oasis serving wine and small bites Been here quite often.
A little too tiny but a reasonable neighborhood wine bar. Service can grind to a halt when its busy (which it is a lot). And when youre spending this sort of money on cheese plates and wine by the glass, it would be nice to have a place to eat than slightly larger than a chair rail.
Great spot to have a good food a great glass of wine
The minute you pay they ask you to leave.
A cozy little nook as long as you are prepared to squeeze always has a positive vibe and invites conversation. Food is overlooked at this tiny but vibrant place
Great option in the UWS, probably the best wine bar in the area.Try the octopus and the apple crumble.
Great food and fabulous wine and beer selection.
The food was really good
Great wine & snacks! Could use a dusting.
Still good service and good food
Service and food was wonderful.
Awesome food and wine
Fast service and nice atmosphere
Super busy but on the off chance you can get in or grab a seat outside do it.
A bit pricey for the area
Nice place to sit outside for a drink...
Great bar
Nice comfy wine bar
Nice place for a drink
Testy food!!!!!
Doesnt get any better than this
A quality restaurant in New York and a great wine list. I recommend the ceviche which was fresh and well seasoned, not so easy to find here. ++ for small ones the terrace is quiet at midday
Very nice place to have a glass of wineVery nice bar layoutGood choice of wine
Nice service
Lovely place on Upper West Side. Excellent choice of wines, very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Excellent 👌 👌
