Food VERY disappointing 👎👎 I’m a neighbor and as far as I’m remember the food wasn’t that bad as it ia now.. The portions got haft of the size and the price double!! The avocado portion is 11$ and is not even an entire avocado. The tacos come two VERY small tacos for 13$ but what impressed me was that they cut the shrimp in tiny pieces and mix with bell peppers so there was not even one shrimp per taco 👎👎 the service is very good, the waitresses are very kind and attentive, the food has NO taste and you can feel it is made with poor quality ingredients. I sincerely hope management finds a balance between being profitable and greediness. In a neighbor with Mexican restaurants in every corner ( they have one right in front literally) , the quality of your food ( not just the service) shouldn’t be neglected like this.

We walked pass this place many times and its always packed so we decided to try it out.The service was very friendly. Our wait staff was patient with us and also made good recommendations. I really enjoyed the Mexican chicken soup, it was the perfect starter on a cold winter night. I followed it with tacos al pastor which was also very good. The guacamole and salsa was also good. My friends also enjoyed their main. For drinks we tried the watermelon margarita, wasn’t crazy about it. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if u just want some good Mexican food.

My server, top notch and fantastic!! The carnitas meat/street style, fantastic!! $15 for two tacos that have one shell and fall apart half way through, cheap. The Famous California burrito that doesnt have French fries, rice as the first ingredient, lettuce and is wet? Have you ever had/seen a California burrito? And the coconut flan, fantastic and flavorful until they put coconut flakes on it. Made a soft and delicious flan into a crunchy disappointment. Ask for it WITHOUT flakes. The restaurant wasnt busy, and the second I finished my food my plate was taken. Like I was being rushed out/watched. Kinda strange.. all in all wont go back. Much much better Mexican food in HC

First of the energy at this place is great, so fun and comfortable at the same time. The service is amazing and definitely top tier of places I’ve been. Moving on to the food I’m not picky but I do value a great tasting taco I highly recommend the birria, Baja shrimp and pork. (Obviously with a side of chips and guacamole!) Now for the drinks! Big portions and reasonable prices, can’t beat it. Mango margarita is my favorite, they specialize in different flavors and they all taste amazing. Overall it’s always a good time when I visit and I highly recommend.

Really busy place inside - too loud for a conversation (on a Saturday night) so try and get seats outside. The food was nice if a little bland. Had the tamale, fish tacos and steak burrito. There was no heat (spice) and flavours werent punchy. Service was friendly though and food did come quite quickly, and reasonable prices.

Food was ok, not authentic or noteworthy. Margarita was good but overpriced. The fact that they nickel and dime you for tortilla chips was pretty ridiculous - $2.50 for about 12 chips. Started this holiday season with the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and when it came to where we were going to have our dinner there was no guessing, Ariba Ariba. They have decorated it in holiday style red yellow and blue lighting to make it cozy. The staff was wonderful as always. Ive been going there for over 25 years,it never disappoints. The food is always on point temperature wise and taste wise, what can I say about their drinks , especially the margaritas. I must have been away from them for a while because they have now included La Tia, in their margarita family sizes, so if you want to get really into the holiday spirit , youll have to include good old La Tia( the aunt) in your holiday plans. Good luck working your way up the family tree. Happy holidays folks and make sure you go to Ariba Ariba at 51st and 9th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

BEWARE of this establishment and using a credit card. I had to have American Express chargeback a credit card charge after the manager kept telling me she was going to refund the entire amount of the check. Someone changed he amount of the tip on the credit card receipt because I tipped only $1.00 due to horrible service. My friend said that was with me; he had the exact same experience one year prior and had spoken with the same manager. Check your credit card charges when dining here. Funny thing is that I have been in this restaurant many times and always had a good experience. Obviously this is a pattern of behavior by the staff. I just never noticed before. I only checked this particular charge for this particular night because I lost the receipt. I ordered the small plate shrimp tacos, they were packed with so much flavor I was so shocked it was that good .The atmosphere is really nice , they have a disco ball inside the restaurant which I enjoyed . Me and my 2 friends will definetly be back .All of our dishes had so much flavor and was done to perfection. My only issue was there was a confusion over the tip with my friend and she gave the waiter the wrong tip . I was going to apologize about it until I was given the bill back and I saw that the waiter decided to circle the amounts of the tip. That was beyond unprofessional and very rude he also instead of taking the tip he put it back in the book to give back to us . That behavior was very obnoxious and I was going to speak to the owner but, I just let it go .

I went with my friend after work on July 15 2020, we were in the mood to get some margaritas after a crazy day at work and some nice dinner. We sat down and order a passion fruit frozen margarita and one on the rocks. The waiter told us after we had order the margaritas & appetizers, that there was a minimum of $10 dollars on food to have a drink, so we told him we were definitely eating something. We found that strange. The margaritas were horrible. I mean it was really bad that we didnt even drink it, we told the waiter we didnt like the margaritas and he asked if he can change it for something else, but we really wanted to drink margaritas so we said we were going to leave and he said that he had spoken to the manager and we had to pay for the drinks and appetizer. Then we decided we should have him changed our drinks and stay. We asked him for beer instead and he said, I am sorry, I would change your drinks, but you still have to pay for the margaritas and the beers. We were really disappointed and I just had such a crazy day I didnt want to argue. This is why Im rating this bad. I dont agree that was a good customer service.

When I was coming out of the bathroom, a busser came around the corner from the kitchen without looking and ran right into me, causing a sizzling fajita plate to spill all over my arm and hand, and knocking food all over me. I went to the bar to ask for tissue and ice, and they provided it. Despite spending over $300 on our dinner, we didnt receive an apology or any compensation from the management, just a free shot on the house. The next day, I called to explain the situation, but all I got was a casual apology and an offer for a free drink on my next visit. I have first-degree burns and will be left with scars, and Im really disappointed that the management or anyone else hasnt called to apologize or check in.

Awesome margaritas, but very bad experience. I will not come here again because of an issue that would have been incredibly easy to fix. We ordered the grilled vegetable plate, and it ended up being this pitiful looking dish with about 10 or so grilled vegetable slices. Not even close to what youd expect for around $15. I asked to return it and the server said he had to talk to the manager. The manager refused to take this awful dish off our check and insisted on substituting something else instead, so we gave in and substituted fried ice cream. Outrageously, they still charged the higher price of the untouched vegetable platter. If I could just come here for margaritas, I might consider it. But this restaurant requires that you order a certain quantity of food to get a table. Due to this and their detestable and greedy attitude towards customers, I will never come here again and recommend that you take your hard earned money elsewhere.

Terrible service, they poured beer all over one of us, which happens, but we still had the beer on the tab along with a mandatory 20% tip. We asked them several times for new chips that had beer all over them, we never got our chips replaced and we were charged. Also, if you are looking for authentic mexican food, this is not it it is more bar bits with tacos and $35 margaritas and if your lucky someone will end up drenched in beer in 28 degree weather 🤷🏻‍♀️. There is literally a plethora of other options in Hells Kitchen with better service and food.

Food was just average and unauthentic not at par for a decent mexican restaurant. Charged extra for some sour cream to go with Chinachongas that were 6/10 being nice. Asked if we wanted Guac for the chips but charged $10.95 for guac that tasted like it was from a supermarket. They added 20% tip to our bill but waiter did not once ask how our meal was. I told them the tip and guac price were not reasonable. I have paid 25% tip elsewhere when it was deserved and when they let me decide tip they deserve for the level of service. I would not recommend this place if you want fairly priced authentic mexican food. There are many other places around.

Went there for lunch on a Saturday, looks like no indoor dining at least during lunch time. Instead of a little box curbside, they covered up a section outside their restaurant on 51 Street which makes it seem grander and more an extension of the restaurant. The seafood enchiladas and chimichangas are tasty, the buffalo wings average. What is more impressive is there seems to be only 1 server taking orders and maybe 1 other whose job is just delivering food and cleaning up, but they are both very patient. Christian, the server who took orders, was patient even though I was speaking while masked and thus sounds more muffled than usual. Its generally a good experience and I recommend it for casual lovers of Mexican food.

Standard Mexican themed restaurant with a bit of a lively vibe. Their food is nothing special and somewhat typical of any Mexican restaurant. The guacamole was definitely lacking in flavor and consistency at nine dollars for a small helping, though the enchiladas were respectable. The music was blasting while we were eating dinner which made conversation difficult. Staff were very friendly given how much of a madhouse it was for dinner.

Was really hoping for a better experience. Waiter was pretty unfriendly. Additionally, their current policy is very stingy; if you want a drink, you and everyone in your party have to order a $10+ entree. Anywhere else you go, theyre cool with one person ordering food or the table just ordering chips.Beyond that, their fried corn was *drenched* in mayonnaise and it was frankly pretty disgusting, especially when compared to how Tacombe makes the same dish.Additionally, they gave us soggy napkins and tried to charge me for someone elses order. Even after that screw-up, they kicked us out 10 minutes after last call. I used to really like this place, but theyve become a very cheap, miserly establishment that doesnt actually care about your experience whatsoever.Until they get their act together, youre better off going to any of the 20 other bars that are on their street.

I have eaten at Arriba Arriba locations before and have loved it because they’re food is so delicious as are the drinks. This location was no exception. The only thing that ruined our experience was that it felt like our waiter was rushing us to get out which was very unfortunate, especially since we wanted to get more drinks but decided not to due to that. I don’t remember his name but he had long hair and a thick accent.

Writing this in real time. I am a person who has no problem dining by themselves. I think however sometimes when you dine by yourself the waiter tends to isolate you. So this is suppose to be a review about food. So far I have had the braised beef tacos. They were unbelievably delicious. I wld like to order another dish but have been waiting over 15 minutes for someone to come to my table. I actually thought I wld get a visit abt how is everything but no luck. So I will continue to sit here and wait. Poor service is something that bothers me when I dine. Im wondering if due to Covid they are understaffed. But its strange how so many other staff members just look at me and walk on by. As I said service is important to me and I am a generous tipper based on the service! Hey he finally came over to me. I do recommend this place because truly the food is delicious. I hope the service improves.

Coming from Colorado, we have a lot of Mexican influence in the Mile High City. I have to give Arriba Arriba a five star rating because of the customer service, the drinks and the food!First, I was looking at the different options that the menu had. I was not sure and Ron, our server that evening, recommended me the chefs special. Ron was polite and was able to take the time to explain the options on the menu.I tried the chefs special for the night which was the Pulpo al Pastor and it was so delicious. The octopus was tender and the flavors combined with the cilantro rice and guajillo sauce were amazing. The margaritas were on point! I tried the jalapeno and cucumber and dill on the rocks and the drink was incredible. The restaurant has a great environment and it was a great experience to eat at Arriba Arriba. Absolute plus for a good start of the evening.Secondly: our waiter: the guy just knew his business and, again, outstanding service.Third: the tacos and the burrito were with no exageration just perfect.Minuses of the place:First of all everybody says they have good margueritas but Ive tried 3 of them in one evening: guava, passion fruit and watermellon. I can say this: If they would have to go to an exam with these drinks, they would lose their license. Drinks were horrible.Secondly: their ice crem with lava cake I choose for desert I have only one word for you: stay away from it.And third and not last, their prices have nothing to do with all these described above. Simply exagerated.I would go there again only to eat a good taco, but for sure I wont try the marguaritas again.

One may ask why do I frequent Arriba? It is for many reasons. For one, the background music is always hip. Its a mix of every song youve ever loved from the 80s up until now.#2. The decor is eerily cool. Huge murals of Tiki gods with red eyes kinda grows on you.#3. The food is consistently delicious. Everyone Ive ever brought to this restaurant, falls in love with the food and dont mind the reasonable prices.#4. Last but certainly not least, do I frequent Arriba Ariba because of the beautiful model like Brazilian male waiter, with the perfectly arched eyebrows and the size smedium shirt that hugs his physique, who always smiles at me when I dine there? Perhaps...
