The space is a good size and they have some outdoor seating. Its nicely decorated. We had the Shrimp Basket and Truffle Fries they were both good. They have a good happy hour. The prices on the food are reasonable. The prices on Cocktails and some spirits are good. Its a laid back atmosphere with a good playlist. Btw, Stephanie, the bartender was very helpful and patient
I came here for a quick lunch with no expectations and I was pretty happy with the overall experience. The burger was much better than I was hoping for; it was much better than a burger you typically get a bar, and the service was fantastic. My only nit pick: I wish they had more lunch menu options outside of burgers
Found this neighborhood place for my husband to hang out while I went to get a facial. Great beer list, and good pub grub. Bonus points for having on horse racing on tne sports channel. Thanks for making a great afternoon in NYC.
We found this place by accident and are very happy we did. The food is exceptional and the service is superb. Marley helped us and she was fantastic. This is absolutely a must go on a repeated basis!
Solid bar place. Food is solid, price is solid and service is solid. A definite go to to hang out with friends and enjoy a comfort meal, drink in a casual setting. We like Alfie’s.
This restaurant, in my opinion, is a hidden gem of classic American cuisine in Hell’s Kitchen. Although it didn’t look like anything fancy or enticing from the outside, one day I decided to step in and try this place. In my opinion, it has some of the best service and food quality you will find in this price range in Hell’s Kitchen. Everything I tried (been here three times over the year) has always been fresh, flavorful and delivered by polite and attentive wait staff who know just the right time to come by and check on you.Definitely recommend. Especially for brunch.
The fries are out of this world! With that said, I will say that we came here on a Tuesday night to enjoy some drinks and food and we’re completely overjoyed. The drinks are incredibly reasonable and I received the old-fashioned as well as the Jenn cocktail that were nine dollars apiece. Totally reasonable and absolutely delicious seats 10 or 14 tables, but there were a ton of families in large groups inside it was loud and lovely. Food was delivered very quickly and we loved everything. The only small critique would be that my wife did not enjoy the sweet flavor (jam?) added to the grilled cheese, but again, the fries made up for it.Love this place! Would definitely come back highly highly recommended! Everyone on the staff was just wonderful
We had an amazing time dining here. The food was amazing and the drinks were delicious! I recommend the cauliflower bites and turkey burger! The chef knows what he’s doing for sure!
I managed to snag some MJ the Musical tickets and Alfie’s was the stop before show time.We literally just stumbled in as we were walking towards the theatre. I scanned the menu quickly and noticed they had happy hour and a turkey burger and that worked perfectly for me.We entered and were seated right away. The place was actually quite bustling for a cold NYC Wednesday night in January. With the place full it can feel tight getting through and not very comfortable while seated. Nonetheless service was attentive, when possible.I ordered an Old Fashioned and that Turkey Burger that caught my eye accompanied by sweet potato fries. My drink was ok but my food was delish and perfectly hit the spot.Just A Note:If looking for a fairly quick bite to eat before a show, Alfie’s might be worth checking
Quick service, decent food.BUT- High prices (considering) Specifically asked if the orange juice was fresh squeezed and was told Yes then served what tasted like Minute Maid :(So many other places in nyc, likely won’t be my first option next time.
It was the avocado toast and craft beer options that drew me in, away from the plan I had. And Im so glad! Everything was so delicious! Staff was super nice. Highly recommend. My only criticism is ... why do the bathrooms need a gender assignment when they are one-person rooms? Come on yall, its 2024 yo!
Excellent place for happy hour drinks and food! Fun vibe in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen. Despite the fact that Our server had just started that day, she provided us excellent service and a great time! (Can’t remember her name but just moved from Chattanooga to the city! ) loved my turkey burger and the salad looked amazing.
Alfies has an awesome brunch with a great bottomless option. Its nice that its separated so you can go for the meal or both. The service was the best part. Our waitress was amazing. We got the best recommendations from her and it just enhanced our dining experience.
I had the ($22) avocado toast for brunch, and it was excellent! There was something in the dish that made it a tiny bit sweet -- at first I had thought maybe it was the pomegranate, but after tasting the pomegranate on its own, I was fairly certain it was something else. Anyway, whatever it was, it was a surprising (to me at least 😄) nice touch to the avocado toast. The ($11) bottomless mimosa was alright (maybe a little expensive? But maybe it had to be because it was bottomless 😄), but the food was most important anyway.Atmosphere was good. This was around 11am, but it was not too crowded (maybe because it was 2 days before Christmas so many people have left town), so that was nice.
Very fun vibe, had a reservation at 9 n showed up a tad early, was told five minutes, they cleared a table n had us seated quickly. Attentive staff, I asked our server what shed prefer out of two items I was between n she was honest, helpful, and easy going to talk with. Food came out quickly. By far, THE BEST spin dip Ive ever had. William, who Im not sure if he was Foh manager, supervisor, host or owner, was so nice, checked on us multiple times, and even brought us a round of tequila shots after we finished our food n had paid. There was even a Bernese mountain dog outside with his owner (we were at a window seat, n william took a second to go outside n say hi to the gentleman n pet his dog.) The bartender was attentive as well, just a very well, fun, easy going time!
Happy hour till 7pm. Veggie Homemade flatbread- everything but the kitchen sink toppings ($16) but good enough. House Pinot noir ($8)- decent. My major problem is that they allow dogs indoor. Not service, pets. No thanks.
Decided to take my boyfriend here for a birthday brunch and it was fantastic! We sat at the bar because all of the tables were booked (I recommend making a reservation because it fills up fast!) and both ordered the bottomless boozy brunch drinks for $25 and some food. He ordered the Alfies steak and eggs and I ordered the short rib hash. Both were soooo DELICIOUS. I loved the vibe of the bar and the staff were incredibly friendly and quick to serve. We had a great time and cant wait to come back!
Trendy brunch spot spot with cozy decor. Highly recommend the country ham Benedict. The cornbread waffles are absolutely amazing. Drinks are decently priced. Would definitely revisit/recommend..
While walking around on our weekend trip to New York, we stumbled upon this spot. We sat outside and opted for the bottomless brunch. We ordered the beach bomb omelette which was fluffy, light and packed with sautéed veggies. It came with a side of home fries which were little different than the regular ones but in a good way. We also ended up ordering an elevated egg Sammy. Nice creamy fluffy egg. The black garlic aoli added tones of flavor. The bun was fresh and soft. And whats a burger without fries. We ordered a side or the sweet potato fries and munched on them through the brunch. The portions were perfect and would fill you up for the rest of the afternoon. Now the only downside to the brunch would be the 90 min timeline for bottomless, because the servers take a good 10-15 min to refill your glass. So it questions the entire purpose. Our glass was randomly taken away by another server aswell, for which they were sorry. But I guess they were just having a busy weekend.Overall, a good place for a date or a weekend outing with friends.
One of the best brunches Ive been to in a while. Servings are large. Food is full of flavor and they offer a wide variety of unique dishes you would not normally expect for brunch and they do it well. Prices are reasonable and brunch comes with a complimentary drink!
Stopped in to have drinks after dinner. Tried the Spanish Gin & Tonic and an Irish Coffee. They have an extensive spirits menu. They have a good menu but we did not look at it. Staff was friendly and attentive. Glad we stopped by.
The food was ok. Good atmosphere! Fries were good!
Honestly; it was just way too loud. As an extrovert, I love being around people and noise doesn’t tent to bother me, but the noise lever was quite distracting and annoying. Other than that, the service was good, the staff were nice, and the food was good. Ordered the chicken and waffles.
Disappointing Service Overshadows Great Food and Atmosphere…While the food and ambiance at this restaurant are consistently excellent, the service is unfortunately hit-or-miss. The true issue, however, lies with the manager, whose rude and unprofessional behavior can completely ruin the dining experience. On multiple occasions, I’ve encountered the manager making inappropriate comments loud enough for guests to hear. For instance, during a recent brunch, I asked to move from a sun-soaked table to a shaded one that was empty. The manager audibly remarked that accommodating my request would upset another customer, as if it was my fault. This happened after I had just ordered a full three-course meal for two. Following that, he made it a point to avoid our table entirely for the rest of our visit, leaving us without the basic courtesy of a check-in.Despite the excellent food, the managers unpleasant attitude is a significant deterrent. I find myself regretting my visits as soon as I encounter him, which is a shame because the cuisine truly is top-notch. This ongoing issue with management is making me seriously reconsider returning, no matter how good the food might be.
Great beer selection with decent food options. I ended up getting the signature burger. I ordered medium rare and it was way closer to medium well. It’s a very tall burger so makes it a bit harder to eat. Fries are great as other reviews state. Solid beer list
Burger & Beer lunch special is a go to. The mushroom burger is unreal. Delicious and all the flavors pair well together. Food was quick and bar tender was attentive and pleasant.
Highlights: Sports bar, high end bar food, drinks, sports viewing, casualI come from time to time. Brunch, lunch, and dinner are all solid. A great place to watch sports or catch up with friends. All the food is very well done. The cauliflower is my favorite appetizer. The burger is generously portioned and completed the assignment. The spinach dip is served piping hot and is very fresh, with perfectly crispy chips. The staff here are all wonderful. A great business!!
Cozy and comfortable bar with food and draft beer options. Great for brunch or dinner.
Feels amazing, my boyfriend dont want to eat but as soon food came uff he love it
One of my favorite lunch spots in the neighborhood! I go here very frequently when working from home and want a lunch break. The staff is super friendly and great. Food is amazing especially the chicken sandwich!! Definitely recommend this spot for lunch and dinner.
Food is average. They took 25 minutes to prepare our burgers. We had to wait for 15 minutes to find a table for a Saturday brunch.
Alfie’s is in a great location near a lot of the theaters, but doesn’t have a mobbed environment feeling. There is a large beer selection on tap. We enjoyed the Brooklyn Bel Air Sour and Cigar City Brewing beer. The kale and beet salad used fresh quality ingredients. Our waitress, Ellie, was patient, thorough, and provided great suggestions.
Bold, detailed, Ballsy, Scrumptious, Excellent, Excellent Brunch food.Im glad that I celebrated my Birthday here with my friends!
Hey yall coming to ya with a gem here. This was a random find for us. We had been walking around NYC and wanted a spot to sit for a spell and rejuvenate. Also since we had all spilt it was a good meeting spot. Once we got there and looked at the menu we decided this is where we would eat. The ambiance was very chic. The floral touches combined with the old wood gave it a bit of a rustic feel. Being completely honest the outside chairs were not very comfortable and started hurting after a while. That being said that was the ONLY thing I didnt like about this place. We had a wonderful server Ashley. She even gave us some places we should visit while on our trip, I enjoyed meeting her. The food was really good. Actually kinda surprised me a bit. I was expecting typical bar food. Seasoned and cooked very well, that food was some of the best we had while in NY. While I was there I had a purple drink (Purple Rain) Yes, I wanted it cause it was purple. lol. It actually tasted SOOOOOOOOOO good!!!!!!! The herbs they use here, not just in their food but in their drinks as well is magically paired. Hats off! I am trying to figure out how to make it at home. I almost got it =). We didnt go inside except to use the bathroom. It was very nice inside. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean. Everyone was cheerful and greeted us with a smile!! I LOVED this place so much. If lived there this would be my regular spot. When you find yourself in NYC you have to check this place out! It is definitely on my list of places to return to in the city!!
Their house beer is good, full bodied pilsner was great. Had the spinach and artichoke dip and it was about as bland as plain noodles, pretty disappointing for $17 - much better options for food in the area. Server never asked how it was and there was not enough salt and pepper on the table to save that dish. Chips were also really greasy.
Gotta come here for the new Croffle Sandwich on the brunch menu! The perfect combination of sweet and savory. And the bread was a crossiant made in a waffle maker. Incredible!
This place is awesome. From the food, to the service, everything was way above my expectations.I passed by this pass a couple weeks ago and just decided to make a stop in. Theres outside seating, and on a cool summer day, its heaven. Youre in the center of the hustle and bustle of the city but it still feels intimate. We ordered a couple beers (turns out happy hour is until 8pm! Huge win) and the cheese dip with pretzel bites. Then we got a couple more beers and the roasted corn and crab dip. Yall.... I cant rave on this good enough. Im adding a pic to this review of the pretzels and cheese and all I can say is I crave it every single time I think about it. The pretzels were soft, beautifully baked, and just salty enough. The cheese was wonderful (who doesnt love cheese tho). The corn crab dip, wow. The pita bread chips that came with it, wow. They were HOT they were so fresh and they also had just enough salt that when paired with the creamy dip it was just the right addition needed. To top it off, one of the managers (possibly owner?) checked on us a couple times throughout the night and was super friendly. He talked to us about how hard it is to do marketing for a restaurant these days with so much competition, and that its more about what foods people are feeling whenever they happen to pass by (that hit home, because thats exactly what we did). At the end of our chat he bought us shots (also found out this is definitely a whiskey bar), and he really just made our night even more memorable.I cannot wait to come back here!
We went here while visiting NYC, to meet a friend for lunch. Its a cute pub that has both inside and outside seating. Service was really good. I think our servers name was Alex. He did a great job and we never felt rushed. The food was just okay. Our burgers were ordered medium rare, but were very rare. The side salad was pretty much just some arugula. The fries were just okay. Overall, a decent experience.
We were able to get in without a reservation for a bottomless brunch ahead of a Sunday matinee. Good food, good drinks, good times
Delicious brunch place with hearty, heavy, and scrumptious food. Their Bloody Marys are also quite tasty, but I found the Apple Cider Mimosa a little too sweet. The Croque Madame was absolutely delicious though, with a side salad and a smattering of fried cheese, it was very filling.
The food was so good!!! Ate dinner here before going to see the MJ musical. I definitely will be coming back here again to try other things on the menu. Also the Rosé fridays deal was perfect. I really enjoyed myself!
A very welcoming place. We stumbled upon this great place and had no complaints at all. We will return again on our next trip to NYC.
Really great bar. Good few options of craft beer on tap (including quite a few not seen elsewhere in the city).Food was tasty and filling. Music and atmosphere was bubby.
The food was excellent, and the atmosphere very nice. The home made truffle french fries were out of this world!.
First time here - just picked it out while walking around. There is a covered outside area and that is where we sat. The staff was wonderful, friendly and the food was awesome. Try the organic chicken with snap peas and oyster mushrooms.
I ordered the salad with beets and cheese because I will never make it at home. It was delicious and not overdressed. I also ordered the cauliflower appetizer. Delicious and took the leftovers home. They were good cold. I was too lazy to airfry them.Staff was friendly and gave honest opinions when asked for one.Highly recommend.
Been goi g here for years now. Theyre loyal to their regulars and have made it apparent we have a home in a local bar.
Great place for brunch. Portions are generous and tasty.
Great Location, good beers and burgers, friendly and fast staff. We felt very well and recommend the Bar
If you want to eat delicious food, come here
Went for a work event was a lot of fun. Food was good. Drinks were good.
Stopped here for drinks and appetizers after work this evening, with my son. The service was great, the ambience perfect (read: homey but not slummy, and loud but at a comfortable, happy decibel.) The food was tasty and healthy and fresh (for me, the veggies are always the litmus test). With good portions, reasonably priced drinks, and great happy hour discounts, what else do you need to know? For 2023, none of this can be taken for granted....
Great food, ambiance and who can beat the bottomless boozy brunch for $25?!
Enjoyed the drink selection and a nice happy hour special even on weekends and our waitress was top notch. Did not get food so cant review that
My first few visits werent very good, but the last few years have been much better so Im editing my review. A nice spot for small groups with good food and drinks.
Be aware this company violates their merchant agreement and will charge you a fee for credit card usage that you dont see until the end of the meal.Businesses are allowed to offer a discount if consumers pay with cash, they arent allowed to advertise one price and then add a surcharge at checkout if customers want to pay with a card.Food and Service is great though, so hopefully someone passes this message onto their management.
Was a little noisy in the beginning but it calmed down, we had a great time and a nice dinner.
Great all around. Some really good vegetarian options. The beet & baby arugala salad is amazing; same with the parmesan roasted cauliflower.
Came here for breakfast? Brunch? Not sure. around 11am both work. The place seems to get packed around 11:30 so I think the locals know. The place looks basically like a bar from the 1980s (may be) but the vibe is not the 1980 it is hip but they are paying the homage to the Hells Kitchen and its roots. The Irish fare is very much Irish but you still get the Avocado Toast and Croque Madame on the menu but the Eggs and pancakes and Country Ham do this place justice.I dont know the name of the gentleman at the door but he makes it even more authentically local.
Hands down one of my favorite spots for brunch, dinner, and drinks! The food here is absolutely delicious and the drinks are always fun and refreshing. My significant other and I have been coming here for years and it definitely will not disappoint. Our personal favorite is the Alfie’s burger with truffle fries - this is a MUST try!!! The waitstaff is attentive and so kind and the service is always great. Mark this on your Google Maps!!!
Stopped here for brunch on a Sunday. Service is quick and friendly. Ambiance is pretty loud but okay. The food is fine, though lacking flavor and pizzazz. Chicken and Waffles were dry; croque madame was bland. Overall, wouldn’t recommend given the other options in the area.
Service was great, quick and efficient. Food tasted incredible! I have recommended this place to everyone I know already!! Great selection of beer options aswell. Must visit.
Great Baba Ganoush with fresh vegies. Good Margaritas at happy hour
Great food and service
Nice place for dinner and drinks in a great atmosphere. Had the NY flatbread and it was absolutely delicious.
Loved this place! The atmosphere, outdoor seating, food, & staff was fab-u-lous!
Ordered burger and fries with cider beer outside. The cider was excellent recommendation.Burger medium rare and it came out between medium to well done. Very dry and no pink. Almost inedible. Hard pass and didn’t finish it.The fries were a little soggy and undercooked. Opposite of reviews here which was surprising. Ate it cause, ya know, fries.Couple next to me got up to order drink then get up again to get check. There was no how is it going check-in or questions around food uneaten. For $42+ /pp is disappointing.
Good brunch
The food was good, we tried Alfies signature burger. It was tasty but nothing wow. The server was really attentive and sweet but a bit slow. Overall it was nice.
Had great service while here. Wish I could name drop, but the bartender was welcoming and engaging. For a solo traveler that means a lot. Gave great recommendations. Will definitely come here again. Thank you!
Great neighborhood bar. It is very inviting inside and they also have good outside seating options. We have been for both brunch and dinner and always have had a positive experience.
Friendly and fast service with super tasty food.
This is a great brunch spot! The Croque Madame was A+, so were the cocktails
Great place for drinks and snacks. Love the outside seating. Great service.
The bar had cute greenery all around it, but we were given a table outside under the covered section. The brunch menu offered a wide variety of delicious choices. I enjoyed the All-American Breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and toast. I was also pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavor of their iced coffee, which arrived in a mason jar with a little carafe of my milk of choice. My friends enjoyed the chicken and waffles and dulce de leche French Toast, as well as margaritas and watermelon frose! The service, food, and atmosphere were great, I would definitely go back!
Pretty good selection of Alcohol food was pretty good! I would definitely go back
Great place for a burger and a beer
We stopped in for one drink during happy hour. Excellent atmosphere and good drinks.
My girlfriend and I went to Alfie’s and we were taken care of from start to finish. We had the short rib sliders, Parmesan truffle fries, NY soppressata flatbread, Alfie’s signature burger, French toast, General Tao’s crispy cauliflower (I almost thought it was fried shrimp!) and the salmon (a healthy option). Everything was delicious and I love the range of flavors in their menu. There’s something for everyone here. I don’t really like to drink, but I even enjoyed my mojito! Also, the truffle sauce is to die for. The service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back. Highly recommend this spot!
Went here for drinks with a group. Spacious spot, good drinks, fun atmosphere, and great customer service. William is kind and intentional in creating a fun and welcoming place. I need to come back and try the food! Thanks for a great time Alfie’s/William!
Super Tasty Food, Great food deals on Happy Hour and Brunch food always exceeds expectations! 🫡 🫡
Came here for brunch on a Sunday - vibes are basic but there’s a good selection of bottomless options and classic brunch food. French toast was solid, especially if you have a sweet tooth! Do note they charge you a higher fee if you use a credit card.
Great drinks, fantastic service, and a good time. I might be a little biased since I go here quite often, but Alfies is still great and you should try it. The staff is kind and always on top of it, and the owner is a jem. He remembers every face I think. Always welcoming. My go-to spot for after work drinks.
10/10Went to NYC for vacation - of everywhere we went, this place might have been my favorite. Food was absolutely amazing, vibe was better, staff was fantastic. Pricy compared to TX, but its NYC - everything is. Definitely will go back if we go to NY again.
Nice and quiet bar, where you can actually hear your friend talk. Nice variety of drinks. The food however was not great. We got a dry and not juicy burger (we ordered a medium one). Perhaps it was the late hour, and maybe other items taste better, next time I would focus on the drinks...
Just came by for happy hour, which turned out to be a great idea. The mixed drinks were tasty and the ambiance was pleasant (and decently strong!). This spot is pretty popular so it can get crowded, but they have some outdoor seating to accommodate the volume.
Great little spot for after work drinks. Fun vibe without a lot of extraneous noise. Plenty of tables and space at the bar.Good variety of beer on tap. Great selection of whiskey and bourbon at good prices.Food options seemed plentiful.
Went for brunch on a saturday morning with 2 other people and there was no wait time to sit which was nice. the food was delicious. and our server Jake was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. we got the bottomless mimosas and he made sure we always had a drink which is all you can really ask for when getting bottomless mimosas. overall was a pleasant experience and would definitely come back again
I think this place has great food but the manager really rubbed us the wrong way when we made a reservation and she sat us outside in the cold in a tight space. My cousin is 6’5 and couldn’t fit. When we first walked in there were two tables indoors open but she claimed she couldn’t give them to us because they were 6 tops and we were only 5. Then she neglected us when we asked if she could at least fix the door outside to keep the cold air out. It’s nyc in the middle of winter! Finally a spot opened inside and we got to eat good. The food like I said is great so maybe get it to go or hope for a bar seat. But for larger parties I don’t think they’re equipped or care much for your comfort.
Cute place with some fun Halloween decor. Waitress had a bit of an attitude and seemed irritated when half our table only wanted water so she walked away. Also hard to find her for refills. When I asked if they had vegan options she seemed bothered that I asked her to check if the bread in the avocado toast had milk/eggs in it. To be honest I didn’t trust that she actually checked so I just didn’t eat the bread even though she said it should be fine. Everyone else said their food was good though, so there’s that.
Good drinks and good bar staff. Was only here for drinks. Host was great in getting us a table then moving to the bar as seats opened up and he was very friendly
I came here with my family for brunch. Everything was so delicious and we will come again! Even my super picky son loves the food here. I had the Elevated Egg Sammy and it was so good!
The dulce de leche french toast was the perfect combination of portion and flavor. Highly recommended. The avocado toast with poached eggs was also a delicious counterpart to the french toast.
Thought about going in, but the bouncer was a total jerk.Update Gave the place a 2nd chance. Couple of pleasant visits. But tonight a Sunday 15th Oct two sets of people thought they Owned the place that even the great bartender shook her head about. Bounce totally better than last time which is good. Must be a yuppie place!
I love Alfie’s - the food, the service, the atmosphere. I go at least twice a month and always have a great experience. William is the best manager and makes sure we always have everything we need. Also love the new menu—the short rib tostada is a big hit.
I’ve done brunch here a few times, the eggs benedict, chicken & waffles, and croque madame are all delicious. Bottomless includes a ton of different flavors so you can mix and match! Depending on your waiter, service can be great or horrible, which is why i knocked off a star.Owners are incredibly nice!
Cute space. Just had a campfire old fashion. Cool take on a traditional cocktail. A Must try!
Great stop for visiting the city with a friend for the day. The cauliflower General TSO wings were tasty!
Tasty dinner and drinks after a Broadway show. Great, fast service for 5 of us ... Thanks.
Fun local spot with good food, good service , and a chill vibe. A touch pricy, as most spots are around here, but not enough to put me off of coming because Ive already been here twice.Good spot for a chill dinner or brunch. Great place to meet up with friends in the area.
Old fashioned is perfect. The service is very friendly. They are busy on Saturday night.
Had a great time tonight! Loved the music and atmosphere. Carli was our server and she was awesome! Definitely recommend
What a great spot. Loads of atmosphere. Did a late afternoon session after a long day sightseeing and also a Sunday brunch then strolls though Central park. Service fab and food amaze too. Bottomless brunch included lager instead of just mimosas keeping both guests happy 😊. Thanks guys xx
Hit and miss. We ordered 6 different dishes. None were bad. However, only one was good and the other were average. Fish and chips were a small portion with nothing special (considering the price). Chicken had good flavor, covered with a slightly sweet sauce but was a little bit hard and bland. The Ceasars salad had a standard commercial dressing with no depth in flavor (did they add anchovies???). The good dish was portobello flat bread.
Its a bar basically. Limited menu. Not a great beer selection if you are looking for something different. Good sized servings. Pleasant staff.
Nice place, with a good selection of beers and courteous staff. Since I had two kids with me, I only wish it had more options for entrees or pasta. I had the burger and it was amazing!
Yesterday Nov.6. was such a perfect day for us except for the treatment we got from the hostess- a tall, pretty dark-haired woman. She refused to give us a seat close to the window and insisted that we can only sit on the low table inside the restaurant. The place was not full and there was no line. This place is quiet noisy even with very few guests. ( I would say poor acoustics ). We asked to be seated outside. Again she insisted we can only be seated on the high table on the sidewalk ( that is a bit tilted ). Since it was drizzling, we asked to sit inside the cabana. She said no. There was no apologies. She just said “okay have a nice day”when we left. Man, the arrogance of youth! What happened to costumer service? We wanted to try this place and was looking forward to brunch - but the experience we had left a bitter taste in my mouth. We will never eat here and will never recommend this place. Be very careful! The competition is quite tough in this neighborhood.we went to Ariba Ariba instead and it was a delight—- highly recommended!
What a great place to stop when your visiting the city. Fantastic food and great presentation.
Loved this place. Wish we had found it sooner. Great burgers. Good ale and for me it was good to find a well poured pint of Guiness! Highly recommended it. Great chilled vibe. Proper New York!
Delicious food. Great service. Reasonable price. Nice place to hang out with friends!
A small little gastropub that has the perfect combination of tasty food and interesting drinks. The pretzel and cheese dip is fantastic and is a must have as far as Im concerned. Food selection is great overall and Im eager to try everything they have to offer, the lamb burger was a refreshing take on a classic recipe. Drink choices were definitely a little off the beaten path from your usual, but again it was something really interesting to see. Wait staff was incredibly friendly, with overall great service.
Great place for a burger and a beer as you watch the game on a Sunday. Its not too crowded, as it doesnt have too many TVs, but if you ask for a certain game, theyre able to accommodate you.The burger is a great value and comes with your choice of fries - definitely go with the sweet potato (they dont cost extra, and have great flavor). My girlfriend also enjoyed her gigantic grilled chicken sandwich. They have a great selection of beers on tap and the wait staff is friendly and happy to help. Overall a good experience on an off-peak time.
Excellent brunch! We had the french toast, croque madame, eggs benedict, and chicken and waffles, and all were delicious. Even the coffee was better than expected. And the service was great as well, very friendly and attentive. All in all, a great experience, and highly recommended!
Found Alfies from a Google search but the online reservation system said they had no availability for brunch so I called to make sure. So glad I did! They were able to accommodate our party of 7 and we were all impressed. My BFF and I couldnt decide between the short rib hash and the croque madame so we got one of each and split them. Best decision of the day.
I came here yesterday and Laura was my server. She is amazing and the only amazing person after my experience today. I really enjoyed the Caribbean chicken and corn bed waffle so I came back today with my friend to try the French toast and as soon as we got there. I was not treated the same. Everyone around me is served water except me and then we put food came out, the guy handling the food serves our food to a couple that came in after my friend and I. Even tho the waiter was told the food wasn’t the couples at the table, the waiter still placed the food on the table completely ignoring us saying that the food belong to our table. After a couple of minutes, the food on the table was giving to us like Covid 19 isn’t real and we left. I’m extremely disappointed. I’m never coming here again but if you go, Laura is a sweetheart seriously
Very bad experience. Service was incredibly slow, 35 minutes for an appetizer and 50 minutes for an entree and the place was not full. The food was not good. Ordered a turkey burger that was pink inside and the “manager” said it was ketchup used in the mixture of the turkey lol. First of all, he pulled that excuse out of no where (he also did that to a table next to us as well) and it did not say that in the menu. Maybe if he wasn’t standing on his phone in his bright red vest not helping nor paying attention to his staff he would notice how bad the service was. Or maybe he could have ran some food from the kitchen to be helpful? Really funny as soon as we complained about how unhelpful he was, he started bussing tables lol. I’m not sure how this place has good reviews.
This place is great! The staff is so nice and helpful, especially when trying to get my family a table last minute. The space is a great vibe and food is delicious! Definitely a must if you are a local or just traveling through!
Overpriced and frankly the bottomless mimosas are meh at best. The burger lacked flavor. The cornbread was just an odd pairing but the jerk chicken, on the other hand, was the highlight of my dining experience and a pleasant surprise, although not an authentically recipe it was a nice replica.
Martini didnt taste right. Burger was a bit too charred which altered taste in negative way. Atmosphere was great and we appreciated having time to visit without being rushed out.
We just love eating here….. menu is always exciting! Recently had jerk chicken and cornbread waffles…. True treat! Afternoons are quiet yet still vibing!!! Great neighborhood… enjoy!
Great food! The Jerk Chicken and Wages for brunch was especially good. Lovely fresh granola and yoghurt too - lovely fresh fruit. Staff were friendly and helpful, even though it was a fully booked Brunch. Nice ambiance sitting out the front in the sun.
This is such a great neighborhood place. Casual, good food, good drinks, good happy hour. 👍 Staff remembers their regulars and treats them well!
Stopped by at 530 on a Friday before a show, we were seated right away. Staff were quick, attentive, and friendly. Had everything we needed, drinks were strong, and the flatbread was delicious. Great experience!
Excellent craft beer selection in a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen stays open late and we had the pigs in a blanket and the hummus which were both excellent. Very welcoming and friendly staff.
Tried the avocado toast, next will try the upgraded sandwich! Table orders included short rib tostada, croque madame, eggs Benedict.
Surprisingly good food from what seemed like just another bar with a brunch menu. Interesting menu, nice portions, and professionally plated food. Server was attentive, service was prompt. Would definitely go back
Really lovely service and good happy hour options for drinks! The hummus plate was huge!A nice casual bar in midtown. Not too loud or crowded.
Great spot for a quick drink!
One of the best “food bars” in the neighborhood.Always delicious fresh seasonal food with a nice rotating menu. Beer and season cocktails are also great. The burger is killer. Also great for brunch and salads.
Food and service was great but they charged a mandatory 20% service fee for a party of 4 and a 3.5% credit card fee, the latter of which is illegal in NY. Not good.
The service is amazing. My waiter was so polite and very helpful even though the place was packed. All of the staff were so nice. Service was quick to. Food was awesome very good burger and awesome fries. The fries were amazing. Omg best fries to eat while ur drunk
This place was awesome. We sat outside and got the Alfies burger with parmesan truffle fries and the portobello flatbread. You have to eat here. Also they dont add in automatic gratuity which is nice the waitresses still try. Also they dont have a Covid recovery charge which I experienced in NY. So that was nice, no stupid fees. Just good food.
Amazing food and craft beer/cocktails, a buratta dish to absolutely die for and a beautifully crafted hot spiked coco to go is just the thing for after your meal here. Both indoor and outdoor dining, the outdoor is heated and well separated, also a must for nice brunch with a bottomless option for $25 with the purchase of an entree.
Nice cozy place for a drink and the beautiful bartender Kelly was very friendly
Great food. I got the jerk chicken and waffle. The cornbread waffle was great! Good Bloody Mary, not quite as advertised though because we weren’t on the brunch menu.
Few brunch places keep me coming back like Alfies. Very professional operation. Great outdoor seating (and indoor large windows for the fall/spring). Very reasonable pricing and tasty food. It is truly a great standby due to reliability
Nice setting and good selection of beers. But food is way too expensive even by New York standards. I chose the lobster roll ($22) which was no better than a baguette from a high end sandwich shop ($8). Go for the beers but not for the food.
Brunch is back! Loved the bottomless mimosas (they were quite generous with the 2 hours time limit). The food was delicious and the service was great. All around goos experience.
Came here on a weekend with a friend for brunch. Ordered the steak & eggs along with mimosas. For 2 people, it came out to be almost $100 (including tax and tips).Food review: the hanger steak wasnt the best cut Ive had. I asked for medium rare and received it overly well-done. I bumped up the rating to 4 stars because the waitress was nice and replaced my entire plate. Was a bit of a wait, but the steak came out exactly as I wanted the second time. The potato hash should be crispier; it tasted more like baked potatoes. Portion size was perfect. We came during the FIFA World Cup so it was crowded, busy, and loud.
Just recently discovered this place and it’s already our new fav Hell’s Kitchen brunch spot. Seriously one of the best steak & eggs in the city, same with the Benedict. And unlimited brunch cocktails?? Had me at hello.
Fun, casual location for brunch. My wife had the eggs Benedict and I had the spare rib hash. Both were fantastic.
My babies ❤️ their treatsAll natural products sir your sensitive fur babies . Great service for Adrienne she can’t help you enough .Adrienne even made up golden goodness paste for my fur baby , that’s great for dogs prone to cancer . Spoon a day keeps doctor (vet ) away 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩☝️
I used to love to come to this place. I havent been in the last month and went today for happy hour and the menu was double the price for food than last time. Flat bread used to be $9ish and are now $16-$18 thats crazy for an appetizer.
This place was really nice! We went with a party of 12 and they were very accommodating with us. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice as well. I will definitely go again
Great local bar - wide selection of craft beers and top notch service. For all you Midwesterners this is one of the few places with cheese curds (as good as Wisconsin!). Say hi to William at the door!
Alfies is one of my favorite bars in midtown. Their prices are comparable with the better bars in the area, but their food I would consider a step above most. On top of everything, the owners and staff are always extremely accommodating and friendly, which is why I always end up here with groups of people.
Great drink selection and awesome bartender service. Food left some things to be desired. I indulged in a lackluster buffalo chicken salad for $16. Small, smothered in an okay hot sauce, and missing a couple items that were listed on the menu.
Food was very good and prepared very well. Had brunch the menu was very interesting, although of good choices making it difficult to decide. Excellent bloody mary.
The place had a fun vibe, something to grab a bite or just have a few drinks. The menu wasn’t huge, but had a good mix of different dishes. I had the house-burger. The meat was excellent and the caramelized onions gave it a special kick, but I could have done without the mushrooms. Staff was also very friendly. I definitely recommend this place.
Ok we need to talk about the Curds. The Crispy Wisconsin cheese curds are ridiculously good. Somehow they are both crispy, and soft, savory and slightly sweet. Gooey on the inside but not a mess. The jalapeño ketchup is good, but seriously.. the curds!!!! They could serve them instead of fries. Oh also.. the burgers are really good, the happy hour is well done, and the bar has a great atmosphere. But... and I think you know where I’m headed with this... get the curds!!
Alfies Kitchen, great atmosphere, super service, very friendly staff and great cuisine. We enjoyed it very much. Well be happy to come back and pass on our recommendation for Alfies.
Good place for brunch. Classic american bar. Not so expensive for hells kitchen area and the food is good. I had a terrific blody Mary (see pic attached...it was spicing and awesome good!). Portions are not so big and the plates are filled with a lot of salad. They have a good selection of beers and you can watch sport if you like it.
Only called in for drinks, but the staff couldnt have been more obliging. Good beer and wine (happy hour is 11am to 8pm), gave us a table where we could charge a mobile phone, and put Champions League on TV (well, Barca v Spurs but that was all that was available). A great effort all round. Thanks, ladies.
Cozy bar/restaurant with tasty food. a second sauce for the burgers/fries would be appreciated.
Great vibe in an amazing area. Drink selection is massive, can’t wait to come back for the fooddddd
Our neighbor pub with a great beer selection on tap, friendly and efficient wait staff, surprisingly good food (B+) and great manager. This is our local Cheers where we always feel welcome.
Very legit friendly local bar with decent craft beer selection and good pub food. Irish transplant Rudy is the main bartender, super skilled, unbelievably friendly and knows all of his regulars drinks before they even pull up a stool. I had mini pig in a blankets and a bulgogi cheese steak which was delicious.
Dropped in on our way back to pick our suitcases up and it was a good decision, nice service but better drinks menu, didnt eat but atmosphere was great
I came here very late nigh almost closing time. Ryan the bartender on duty who was super knowledgeable about the tastes of ipa i mentioned recommended one i tried and loved.Ill b looking for that ipa now. It was delish. Lightly fruity and almost lightly creamy.I also tried the old fashion made with guiness syrup. Very interesting! Love old fashions. Only few years ago i had my first so im curious about the many ways they can be made.I didnt get to try the food because the kitchen was closed late night but i checked out hugos post on google of these beautiful brunch images ill definatly going to come to brunch try it. Looks delish. Professional staff and cozy space. Ill be back. To think for years i passed by and never tried it?! 😇😄
Great little bar in Hells Kitchen, with a fabulous beer selection. Food is pretty decent too (although weirdly presented in a very ritzy way for a pretty rustic pub). Fabulous music last time I was there too!
Most of the drinks were pricey and not super tasteful, below median quality for each I took: old fashioned, pilsner, and margarita. Nice service though!
Very casual bar restaurant. Had brunch. Very good eggs benedict. Coffee too bitter. Made a fresh pot for me but not much better. Good service. Anxious to please.
I started going to this place after a meeting with friends let out too early for dinner. Im happy I did! The best burger Ive had in years! Would highly recommend!
Came for brunch with friends without a reservation and was able to snag a seat at the bar. Lovely atmosphere, our bartender/waitress was very friendly. Drinks were delicious, and the food was praised amongst us. I got a classic steak and eggs breakfast and the steak was cooked perfectly. Would have gotten the french toast but sadly, they were out. Would come back!
After moving into the neighborhood, we explored most of the local bars and always find ourselves returning to Alfies. Staff is friendly, all types of beers, great hot toddie during the winter. Grab the fried cheese curds and a burger.
This place is the best and everyone in the neighborhood knows it. Food is incredible (it’s not bar food, it’s extremely high quality, ingredients, presentation and flavors.) Wednesday wine happy hour is a great time. Great variety of drinks. Dinner and drink menu changes by season and is always great. Stop by for a hot toddy or apple cider in the winter. We often bring a large group and they’re always welcoming and accommodating for that. Their heated outdoor spaces are cozy and we weren’t cold. Their staff is always the nicest too. Love Alfie’s.
They specialize in a organic food menu and great selection of drinks. But if youre a sports fan dont expect much because theres only 2 TV screens available!
Went to see Neil Brennan. Such a fantastic show and comedian. The theater it’s self was great. Had plenty of legroom and even though it literally is a house converted into a theater it did not feel claustrophobic. Would love to see another show here in the future.
Alfie’s is the ULTIMATE happy hour spot. Their happy hour deals are awesome and their food is really good too. We go here a lot after work and the staff are super friendly since they’ve started to get to know us.
Solid food with a cool vibe. Its a nice place to grab drinks with friends after work or before a show. The food is definitely good, but probably nothing to write home about. Theres also a pretty big beer and cocktail list if youre into that.
Tasty food and drinks! Great pre-show spot. It is very loud though.
Though the burgers are a bit pricy, theyre certainly very filling and can be considered a shared plate when paired with an extra side or appetizer. Also a wide beer selection that offers great variety.
RUDE staff and the tip comes Included in the check. Soda is watered down, and refills arent free. Besides that we waited 10 mins after we ordered JUST TO GET WATER. After that the Proportions worked small and OVER PRICED. If u have to eat here only get a burger.
Great for after work drinks!
I would not recommend this place. Laura our waitress was unfriendly, did not offer assistance with anything and had an attitude. She gave my daughter hot coca in a paper cup. Food is incredibly overpriced. ONE PIECE OF FRENCH TOAST WAS $18 WITH NO SIDES. IT WAS MUSHY AND TOO SWEET. a different server was also aggressive and hostile. Wont be back.
Friendly service. Burger was good. Nice and juicy. French fries would have been better if they were really crisp.
Great tap and bottle list. Probably going to be sorry later tonight for the chili oil flat bread, but perfect spice level for making the beer tastier!
We had truffle fries, Cesar salad, braised short ribs buns, grilled chicken ciabatta, croque madame and new york soppressata flatbread and everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. Service was very nice and the place looked clean and inviting. Low noise so it was nice to be able to talk while eating. I absolutely recommend this place. We showed up at 3pm on a Tuesday and wasnt busy
Nice interior, good place to feel intimate. Menu is a bit limited-just my opinion-and seating can vary. You may get a stool at a table.
Great food and atmosphereWas here for Sunday brunch. The breakfast foods sounded and looked awesome, but I was craving a burger. The turkey burger here is great!
Great service. Food was good and reasonably priced for the quality. We really enjoyed the steak and frites. The burger was great!
Went for bottomless and were pleasantly surprised when the food was actually good
Good food, fast service, a little pricey for burgers
Featuring gourmet bar eats, a solid selection of beers on tap, and outdoor seating, Alfies is a good choice for a happy hour drink or a quick bite. Their pan roasted cauliflower balances savory crunch with a decadent portion of shaved prosciutto that makes this dish an ideal order to share. Their calamari is another ideal share plate, and it comes with a kickin red pepper aioli and heaps of fried calamari, jalapeños, and even shrimp. If you need something a little more substantial, they have choice burgers and sandwiches, plus most of the traditional bar fare youd expect to find. Dont forget to scour their beer menu, or just ask one of the bartenders for a recommendation.
Great food, good beer and friendly service, with a cool laid back vibe
Be sure to go during happy hour (before 7pm) It makes a huge diff. $8 vs $14 for an old fashioned for example. We sadly missed by only a few minutes and paid full price. 😞
Cool spot for quick drink with some friends or after seeing a show at Shetler Studios such as the amazingly stage managed show Catch the Sparrow ... They had hot boozy bevvies like hot toddy for the season..I ended up ordering the Flannel Shandy which wasnt visually like a flannel but it tasted good.. As a new writer I work shopped some ideas here and had several light bulb moments... Thanks Alfie (not sure he was there though)
Delightful warm cocktails and incredibly generous waitstaff. They have us a heated outdoor cabana because we were worried about covid.
$8 old fashioned cocktails on weekday during the day for happy hour! Great service, great prices and great atmosphere!
Only worthwhile brunch in Hells Kitchen. By far the best french toast Ive ever had!
The food is amazing! Our waiter was very nice. My new favorite spot here in NYC.
Loved the food and the drinks were very refreshing especially in the humid city heat. Def will be back and bring more friends!
Nice bar restaurant to grab some beers and brunch
Great food! Great Cocktails! The staff and management went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience!
Strangely rude server at the door even when I politely asked a question. Seated my friend and I away from the heater?? I had heard so much but I definitely do not want to go back!
Visited here for bottomless brunch and it was very good. I ordered the ham eggs Benedict and I really enjoyed the cornbread waffle base. The drinks were also very tasty.
Been there on a number of occasions for Sunday brunch. Food is exceptional and service is always great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Great selection of beers. The staff is welcoming and the crowd lively.
Great bar to go to for a drink, with a solid beer and whiskey selection. Also really good spot for brunch. Had the breakfast bowl today and it was quite delicious. Friendly staff and usually not too crowded - I really like the vibe here. Ive been a few times now and will definitely come back.
