Super CHEAP drinks in Manhattan! Great pregame/date spot 😝 2 of the $6-$7 mixed drinks get me buzzed! The weeknights aren’t too packed, so feels intimate. I think there’s a wait on weekends.The food isn’t spectacular, but satisfies those drunk cravings. The Teriyaki 212 Wings surprised me. So saucy & flavorful!21+ & ID is always checked!!!

Looking for somewhere to grab a quick drink? 212 East is the perfect spot. Cheap, adorable drinks especially if you’re going to have more than one 😉. Haven’t really had their food besides fries to pair with the drinks but their fries are decent so the food is probably good as well. Definitely a good spot for something quick and a few drinks.

We had food and drinks left and they told us to leave because they needed the tables 6:24 today, October 19. We understand when the customer is not consuming, but were we eating and drinking? The food is good but this system of kicking us out of the restaurant is super bad service! We will not return again.

The portion to price ratio is above and beyond! We all were so full for the portions we received. The drinks were NOT watered down at all. They tasted amazing. The amaretto sour was absolutely delicious. The food was full of flavor. My friend gave me one of his bbq wings and I couldn’t help but salivate lol! They were sweet and tangy. Perfection. I’ve never been so excited about a place like I am for this one. Keep in mind, once everyone at the table receives their food, the service time will be one hour. One hour at the table to finish your food and drink what you can and have ordered. This part at first sucked cause I really wanted to drink more haha but it’s understandable. When we left the line to get in was long! Come around 6pm. Not too many people and right before the rush if you can. Overall, It exceeded my expectations 100%. If you don’t come here, you are missing out on a great place to dine. I can’t wait to come back.

This is a really cool spot for good cheap eats! I will tell you that their portions for everything are huge, Even down to their burger thats considered an appetizer, so you won’t go home hungry! 😂 I’ve tried the crab cakes and fish tacos, I highly recommend both 😍 The crab cakes are not only incredibly massive, but delicious AF. Also, you can get decent drinks here for cheap as well. Definitely give this spot a try! I think you’ll come back again. 🍸🍔🌮

I have no complaints. Unbeatable price. Our server was FANTASTIC. He was so sweet, chill, and impressionable. Portion is JUMBO. This place is a high key throwback to college with the price and portion. The atmosphere is casual and Asian fusion. I love the vibe. The fries are absolutely fantastic and well salted. I cant wait to come back and try everything else. The drinks are totally up my alley since I love sweet and honestly a great size for what your paying for. If I had to nit pick it be that I wish they would use reusable cups and utensils... the paper waxed cup and plastic utensils is quite odd to me but very wasteful.

If you are ballin on a budget but want good food and drinks, this is the spot. The drinks are 7 and the apps are all under 10 dollars. The drinks are strong and delicious. The staff here is super friendly. It opens at 5pm but there will be a wait the later you go. Perfect for a pregame or catching up with a friend. 10/10 Highly recommend!

The food was good, drinks were good, and very effective service. Only feedback would be for attitude towards guests. I understand people can get stressed at work, especially on such busy nights, but I dont think it should be an excuse to not be nice. Reconsider table placement as well. Thank you for everything!

This place is great for cheap cocktails and shots along with large portions of food. There is usually a long line, so I would try and get there a little earlier since they dont have a reservation system.

Great place to get drunk. prices have been consistently rising unfortunately, but they do make strong cocktails for $7/$8. gets incredibly crowded and is full of NYU kids

This place has been an oldie but a goodie! Cheap drinks that are mildly strong, expect a light buzz for sure! Food is flavorful, I loved the terriyaki 212 wings. The tacos were very good with high quality ingredients. I got the Bahama Mama which was not too strong and had to confirm that there was alcohol in it. Otherwise quick service, hot food, and highly recommend for the price! Great music selection; hip hop, pop hits, but then they played songs from High School Musical 2 ????? lmaoUPDATE moments after getting the receipt***:So they charge tax on each item purchased first off (so the wings on the menu state $9, but then the price of it on the receipt says $9.36) then they charge 8.875% NYC sales tax on top it then, then for a party of 2 they charge 18% gratuity!!!!!!!! Then if you use a debit or credit card it is a 3.99% increase as well. Purely insane

Drinks are mediocre and watered down but cheap.Be very cautious! My party of two had a 18% gratuity added and we werent notified of it. I ended up overtipping and didnt realize till a few days later. I ended up tipping around 46% on mediocre service and drinks because we didnt notice the extra charge.

Some of the best tuna Ive had. It was rich and tasty. The menu is on the pricy side but the quality of fish is wonderful. Its a small place with a great cozy atmosphere. Service was lovely also.

This is a cute little spot to grab a bite with friends. The drinks are pretty good. But if this doesn’t convince you to go then I have two words that will. Tater tots! Can’t go wrong with that! Very affordable. The only con to this place is when it is busy it is BUSY. You’ll definitely be waiting to get in during peak hours but it’s worth it.

If you are looking for some cheap, good drinks and great appetizers for snack in NYC, 212 Hisae is the place to go to. The drinks is cheap and the appetizers is a bomb especially the fried calamari. If you don’t like to be in the line I recommend to arrive before 9 pm because after 9 pm they will get extremely busy with people forming a long lineUpdate: this place have totally changed, the drink is still good but the appetizer is totally different like the fried calamari, maybe because they have new owner but it is not the same especially with a one hour limit is crazy, me and my friend were rush to leave to make room for new clients, we will understand but the staff messed up and provide us our fries like five minutes before we were told to leave so we have to rush ourselves to finish the fries, a true disappointment with this place.

We love 212 Hisaes! The drinks are among the best.... and they are big.......yet they are pretty much the least expensive in Manhattan. Some of them are very, very strong! And they taste great!!! Try the Tokyo Iced Tea, the Blue Hawaiian, or the Bahama Mama.The food is good too, and also not too expensive. We like the Vegetable Curry, fries, and the Kimchi fried rice.If you are lucky, youll get Helena as your server. Shes very kind, friendly, and helpful. We went there recently when she wasnt our server and she still helped us!Highly recommended!!!

Good food and vibe if you’re planing on having a night out. Cheap drinks, shots and food, and friendly service. Big meal portions, tasty food.Only downside to this experience is the added costs at the end. Our food and drinks came to $74 although once we received the receipt with the tax and all add ons it came to $97.84. It is a big jump in cost and I warn other tourists of this as it can have a big impact on your trip.

Very nice place. The drinks were good, and I got the calamari appetizers, which were also good. Additionally, the music that was playing was very nice. There are lots of popular songs that most people could recognize even as an international student

Just be mindful that this is a well sought after place due to price and location so be prepared to wait for a spot or you could order drinks to go. Staff is typically very nice although very busy and sometimes hard to get a server when being freshly seated.

Since I live down the block I can say this is a really popular spot mainly for the cheap drinks but its popular for a reason. The food I remember is relatively good but its mainly the drinks youre going to 212 for. Theyre a reasonable price and dont cheap out on the alcohol but definitely expect to wait 20 minutes at least on the other side of the street and if its a busy night maybe 40 min.

Cheap drinks and reasonably priced food as well! All of the drinks are really cheap so it’s good if you’re just trying to get drunk lol. Music can be loud, some of the food is hit or miss but for the price you can’t really complain. Not a great spot to hang out or chat with a friend. Staff are pretty good. Make sure to bring ID because they ID at the door.

Not sure why people go here - they have a one hour time limit on a table. They will literally just hand you the check after an hour regardless of whether you have finished your drink / food.We got the pork dumplings and the fish tacos. The dumplings had a think covering and not enough fillings. Would not recommend.They added an 18% gratuity over the entire bill for a party of 2 at the end and also expected a tip.Would not be returningDrinks are prices really well thoughSo that’s a positive

I love this place. The food is pretty good and the drinks are great. The best part is everything is reasonably priced, the most youll pay for any drink is $5 at anytime. The only problem is the wait, there is almost always a line but its well worth the wait!!

This is one of my favorite places to go in LES to for good food and ultra cheap drinks!! Perfect hangout spot for all college aged kids! (Be warned, 90% of the time they check for ID so it is a 21+ place). I usually order the lemon chicken and it’s the best thing on the menu!

This place has great and affordable drinks and food. Its definitely a hit with the college crowd. $5 drinks all night, how can you go wrong. Not your typical water down drinks weither. Youre definitely getting your moneys worth if not more at this spot. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because the place can get crowded and loud. Its not a very large place so you can rub elbows with your neighbors when its full.

Sat there for ten minutes before having to go find our own waitress, we were given burnt fries, told to move tables without any explanation and were basically rushed out of the restaurant. You could tell the waitress and bouncers were picking and choosing who to be nice to and who to serve first regardless of who was there first. Will never go back not even the cheap prices could make me want to go back I felt so disrespected there.

The drinks here are actually reasonably priced, and theyre mixed well too! I ordered the Fish & Chips, which was not that good, but as this place mostly serves Asian food its understandable. My friend got the kimchi rice, which was amazing. The music was really good as well. This is a solid place!

This has always been my go-to place for pre-gaming but now that all the tourists know about it, they’ve enacted a one-hour seating limit to make sure the line is constantly moving which makes it a catch 22. You’ll be seated quickly but also have to leave just as quick to allow for the next party.

Dont expect much from this place. Its a good spot to get cheap drinks and food that will help you sober up. Its definitely a spot where all the NYU kids go. Get there early before 7 on popular nights because there can be a long line to get in and once that happens, then its bit worth going there.Still a fave when I want to get a cheap drink with friends.

Their prices are great for reasonably priced drinks. When we went we only had a one hour time limit on the table. There was no line when we came, but when we left there was a long line outside. Recommend getting there closer to 9.

Not a bad place. Mostly college students that visit a lot. Nice place to hang and spend some time with friends. Drinks are a 10/10 best place to get good drinks for $5 honestly worth it. Only downside was the Security; he was a little rough with handling guests, with a bad face and temper since we where making the line. My food was undercooked. Ordered a we’ll done burger and took one bite into it and it was medium well. Didn’t eat 🤷🏻‍♂️ cause I don’t like to bother but they should’ve taken their time and cooked the food properly.

So we waited well over an hour to get in. But it was so worth it. Fisrt off make sure you have a valid State ID. You will be asked for it at the door. Secondly how can you not like a spot where the drinks are Happy Hour prices ALL NIGHT LONG. With good food. Also the staff was nice & friendly. I will be going back ASAPronto . I highly recommend.

To be honest the drinks are cheap so as the food but the quality isn’t that good. The customer service suck specially the host the guy with a long hair. He take so long to get our order and our check. He just ignored what I ask for. His to busy busy worrying about other customer and the place isn’t that busy. We’re not coming back at all.

Ive been going here since my college days. This place will eternally hold a place in my heart with cheap, effectively strong drinks, and the sweetest Asian grandma serving you edamame. Dont expect high end cocktails, but its absolutely perfection for the price point.

Oh my! Talking about variety, 212 Hisae’s offers a vast variety of drinks/cocktails. If you’re feeling risky and want to try something new, they will have a drink you have never had before at prices that will make you want to order multiple drinks at the same time. Service is friendly and they make sure it doesn’t get overly crowded, so what else could you ask for a fun night?

I went here on a date with my girlfriend and I must say the service was beyond exceptional. They were very patient and attentive. I got a couple of appetizers and shared 2 main courses with my date. Based on the variety of food we ate I can say with confidence the food is great. Overall this was a great experience and based on the people that were there I can tell it would have been a good time with a group or even just by myself.

This is my go to place with my besties when we want something chill.. Pretty cheap and the cocktails are good :). They also have some good entrees, we loved the shrimp and the chicken wings 👀..

The service and management is terrible. Me and my friends went just as they opened and was turned away for no evident reason. There was only one table seated and we were escorted out. We tried to ask what the reason was and the manager said we “looked intoxicated” when we truly did not drink anything prior to going to 212s. It honestly felt like discrimination.. which is so sad because I’ve always had good things to say.

Five stars and it was because of the hospitality. I heard of this place a year or so ago but the line outside always deterred me. One the first hot day of the year me and my friend cake and braved the line. We got here around 6pm and made the line. We were in within 5 mins and were seated towards the entrance. We were kind of bummed but here’s where the 5 stars was earned. Our server Ariel came and asked if we were okay and how our day was going. We asked him what’s good and he recommended the kamikaze shot and drinks so we ordered that. It was so good we kept asking his opinion and he was so knowledgeable. We ended up getting an amaretto sour, lemon drop, buttery nipple, and sake. Everything was amazing. I thought it’d be watered down but Ariel was soo attentive. These are the types of servers New York needs. Honestly I’m sad I ate before coming here cause the foods he recommended sounded delicious and I am DEF coming back to try them. Thank you Ariel for making my week on a Friday ! Oh and the music was first jazz then it became more urban and I loved it. I’m so happy this place exceeded my expectations.

The drinks and food were great! Despite the place being full, my table still got our orders pretty quickly. The wings are a must have! And I love that everything is reasonably priced.

There was a small line outside, but it moved fast. They wont let you in until your entire party is present. This is the best happy hour! The drinks 🔥 I didnt like the ramen, but everyone else at my table tried it and liked it + the rest of the food being dropped off looked great. Definitely going to make this spot regular!

Cheap drinks. The best cheap drinks youll find in the area. My friends and I are regulars. The owner is a sweet woman with a great sense of humor. Going only once is a disservice to yourself.

Had such a beautiful time for a literally unbelievable price. Staff is all incredibly polite, and the portions (of both food and drink) are beyond generous, especially for the price. The music and ambiance are very energetic, and the collective excitement about $6 and $7 cocktails in lower manhattan is palpable almost immediately upon walking through the front door. will definitely be coming back :)

It is a great place to sit down and get drinks with friends - it gets packed and many times there are not spots but if you get early enough (like 8pm) should not be a problem. Drinks are watered down but cannot complain when they cost $4 compare to $24!!!

The serving of kimchi rice is huge for only $8 and really good. The drinks were good too we had blue hawaiian and amaretto sour.

The food here is DELICIOUS!!! Let alone the variety of the drink menu that doesnt break bank. The atmosphere is filled with groups of friends, couples, or College Students. Super friendly staff. I would highly recommend this resturant. Im actually writing this review on my way back to 212s lol!

212 should be a heritage listing site! So many great memories have occurred here, and that is helped by the fact that the drinks are cheap and the fries are great. Sometimes you will get to see Hisae in the flesh working the floors, and if your lucky, she’ll bring you around a drink. Unfortunately the place has gotten so popular that it is often difficult to get in, but that is the consequence of such a lovely place being in operation, word of mouth spreads and everyone wants to go. Drinks are cheap and strong - I got the Adios M. F...#?!% (sweet and looks pretty and blue, but not much flavor) and Scorpion (very strong and tastes citrus-y), and Im still feeling tipsy 2 hours later. Their Lychee Martini is really good, I definitely recommend it. Calamari wasnt great - the batter falls right off. But it was like $7 so Im not complaining. All in all, Id definitely come back to get lit on their cheap drinks.

Today was one of those Monday nights that I experienced one of the worst nights first I wanted to get a table that had five people, and they told me that I couldn’t because it was a table of seven but then when another white crew came, they let them sit five people because they claimed that they didn’t have no more tables in the back then when the bill came I wanted to do separate receipts and they told me that I couldn’t do separate receipts. First of all is not red lobster for you to have gratuity, I asked to speak to the manager and the manager told the waiter they don’t wanna tip that’s not what the issue is. I always tip every time I come there so why are you being so rude? The waiter comes back. I told him to take the gratuity off and he comes back and crumbles the receipt and gives me a new one and tell us to have a great day . What frustrates me is that I come there? I bring it cheap. They were nice and food and everything is great of the margarita just get a classic but other than that why would you treat people like that color right now I’m gonna report you guys even further because I just didn’t like the experience for a customer that always comes back. You guys are forcing people to when it’s not like it’s a restaurant , it’s not Applebee’s. It’s not David Buster. It’s a regular bar. I know that I can speak to the manager go further with this complaint. No need to get back to me. No apologies. I just won’t come back or bring anybody there ever again. !

Tried to go there to have a drink after dinner, walked into the front door and was “greeted” by an angry older employee that clearly was depressed about his job position. Looked at my ID, I’m 28 years old, with disdain. Then looked at my girlfriends ID, she is 26, asked her for another form of ID. She gladly showed him her government issued passport which she luckily had with her, which he then said “this doesn’t look like you”, to which my girlfriend replied by showing her credit card which again proved she was who she said she was. He then proceeded to ask us to leave which we did because we did not want to be subjected to this ignorance any longer. Figure out who is working at your restaurant and vet them properly. Clearly you have hired ignorant people to work your door which is costing you precious revenue. I hope to be able to try your establishment some time in the future.

A staple in any night out near the East Village. Super cheap drinks that aren’t watered down. The appetizers are only so-so, but let’s be honest, you’re here for the $3-$6 dollar cocktails.

The shot and drinks are cheap so order a lot lol. Kinda a small place but great place to hang with friends. Can get very busy!

We used to love this place, but they have gone downhill (or maybe they were always like this, but we weren’t there long enough, which is a shame). They asked us to leave after 1.5 hrs because there was a “line outside.” We were about to order more food and more drinks and we’re putting in our order and they said “you only have 30 mins until your time is up because there’s a queue outside.” We decided to not order and close out, and there was no one outside when we left, and at least 5 empty tables. They are rude and weird, and I’m sorry we’ve ever said good things about them in the past. Their rules are ridiculous and make no sense and there are way better places in the area. (Empty tables next to us pictured below).

Came for drinks, which are heavy poured enough to feel right away. I heard food was good, and the prices seemed reasonable. I will be back!!!

The bouncer at the door was extremely inconsiderate, seems like he was letting people he knew in before people that were waiting on line. He told us we had to wait across the street but we saw others walk up and allowed in right away. My girlfriend and I waited 45 minutes outside and saw at least 12 go in ahead of us.

I’ve been coming here for years, and though the lines have gotten longer and it’s become more popular you still get great customer service and quality drinks and food for cheap and I’ve never left there unsatisfied unless I’ve left because the line was too long lol but great place great vibes. Best to go right after they’ve opened in the evenings, no lines and quiet atmostphere.

Best food, atmosphere, service ive experienced in Nyc for a while. The food is extremely fresh and amazing quality for killer prices. The team and workers absolutely cater to whatever is needed ensuring that YOU the customer are happy. Supppperrr cheap shots and drinks, you cannot beat the price in this area. They gave us not 1 or 2 but 3 rounds of free shots. Bathrooms are clean the music is good and very upbeat. The ceiling is painted blue and has clouds so when you get drunk - look up for a sweet treat haha. If anyone says its bad or were not serviced correctly here please judge for yourself and allow their experience to be a reflection of their own character. 212 HISAE IS A TRUE NEW YORKERS GEM AND SAFE HAVEN!!!

I was turned away from this bar after showing my state issued ID and government issued passport and your bouncer claimed it wasn’t me. From there i showed him my credit card with my name on it, now having shown 3 forms of ID and was turned away. I am 26 years old... this has never happened to me before. Don’t go here if you want to be treated with respect. Your bouncer also claimed he went to school for this... maybe he should go back.

Best place for get togethers with your friends. It can get a little crowded but the atmosphere is great. I recommend the lemon drop shots, very tasty!

Always a good time when you finally get inside but the waiting process has to change. With the money they make, they should consider expanding. They would get rid of a lot of the wait time which would result in more profit.

Cool comfortable place with friendly staff. Didn’t try any food but we got some gin and tonics with some free yet delicious edamame.

We were ordering and having a good time until a guy (a manager or something) asked us to leave the table because “he had a other people waiting for a table outside”. He made this because he thought we weren’t ordering nothing, but definitely was a very mean way to ask customers not to come again!!

The menu here is great, it has a very distinct milieu, its not ratchet, its not very upscale, its the perfect kind of urban spot with great food and amazing drinks all at goddam fantastic prices. Its perfect for dates, dinners, pre partying or just a night out. The owner has had several spots in and around the city and theyve always been eclectic and very, extremely welcoming. Love this place. Ok, i need to add that i got one of the big plates plattef, freaking amaaazing. I got the whole grilled Branzino, it was phenomenal!

Me and my party of 3 had a great time, being my first time at this establishment I was surprised by the generous portion sizes, but what really caught my attention was the quality of the food compared to the serving size, for every individual dish the flavors were consistent, the texture was consistent, the plating was carefully thought out. When I took my first spoonful, I entered a state of Food Euphoria. Not to forget about the alcoholic drinks which did not disappoint. And the waiter was attentive and considerate. The only thing that saddened me was the time limitations of the tables otherwise it was a very enjoyable time

I’m soooo in love with place. My friend recently took me to this spot earlier in the spring this year and I have been here non-stop. I have tried some dishes not all yet but, when I tell you the grilled salmon teriyaki is 👩🏼‍🍳 💋. The food is amazing, the plates are big and enough for two or to take more for seconds.Honestly, the drinks and food are reasonably low if not really cheap. Also, this place shots and drink hit every time. ⚠️ you will walk out staggering when leaving 😂 I took so many people to this place that love it here. I go every chance I get. Please go. Also, watch out when going in the weekends go early if possible will be waiting on a long line. Especially, with a big party of friends.

Basically a college bar. I would not come here to spend the night. This is where people 21-26 come to pregame on cheap liquor before heading to a nicer club. Shots are very untasty and very very cheap flavor. It is a $3 shot and $6 dollar drink but I would not recommend coming here if your already out of college. This would not be the place to be. But it serves the purpose of being the “meet up spot”. Now they do limit you to 1 hour of sitting at a table and this applies even to when the place is empty. I have read plenty of reviews from other people mentioning this happening to them. So do beware…

As someone who has visited here 4 times so far, this is an amazing food and drinks bar!!! However, my recent visit taints my experience of the place with a rude and a somewhat unprofessional female waiter.The story is as simple as this:My pricing for my bill was a bit too high for what I ordered, especially with their cheap menu items, and basically, me and my guest noticed that I was charged for 18% gratuity as if its mandated. Mind you, tipping was NEVER the problem. The problem was the waitress was giving me an attitude and taking things to a personal level because I exercised my right as a customer to question the exact details to my bill. For what I ordered, I was overcharged, and felt like, based on the receipt, she decided my tip before I could even have a say in the matter. Furthermore, She had the nerve to comment to me that if its a problem, Ill just refund the tip, and to never tip here again.Miss, as a customer, I have rights to ask exactly what youre charging me and what that is going to. At days end, its MY MONEY. And I find it very unprofessional of you to take it out against me just because I was concerned about a possible unfair charge.If you notice a Hispanic woman with brunette hair, average height, and wearing all black, be warned. And remember that your right to simply ask about your bill is absolute!!

We were ignored upon sitting and not given menus. We did not have our food order taken for over half an hour. In that time other tables that arrived after us had their orders taken and delivered.We were asked to leave before received our food AND our bill. We had not even paid yet before being told to leave.They delivered a round of drinks 3 minutes before asking us to leave even though it was placed much earlier.Upon bringing these problems to management we were told that these issue was our fault for not finding our waiter ourselves.We were actually told it was our responsibility to find our own waiter.
