Very misleading - sign says $10 burger and beer, which seems too good to be true. Turns out it was! We were explained AFTER our check arrived that it’s a $10 burger if you buy a beer. The server admitted it was misleading but did nothing to rectify the situation. I even ordered by saying, “We’re going to have the $10 burger and beer!” As someone who works in the industry I find this incredibly sketchy and I will definitely not be back.
The food and the service is exceptional. My wife and I love coming here and make it a point to have dinner here when we’re in the neighborhood. They have amazing happy hour options. We’ve tried most things from the menu and they’re all fantastic. Strongly recommended
Came to toast for dinner and got the fish sandwich. It was pretty tasty and definitely big enough that I took home half for the next day
The order was Mozzarella Sticks, Popcorn Shrimps 16 pieces, Beyond Burger and Lamb burger. Really enjoyed the starters along with the burgers. I recommend trying the pesto that came with the Lamb burger.
So grateful to the woman on the train who told us about this gem.The portions were enormous, and that BBQ salad may be the best thing I ate all week. My husband loves his steak sando and the kid (ofc) loved the Mac and cheese.BUT.... The service. Man Gabrielle shot it right out of the park. So attentive and courteous but when she came running after us because my kid left her hat and gloves, that was just the cherry on top.
Extremely disappointed. Ordered eggs florentine to go, and got this… sharp contrast with the photo on the menu. No salad either. Does takeout get subpar food?
Live jazz on Fridays. I thought the food was quite bland, but salt and pepper helped a little. The Mac and cheese is extremely cheesy, rather than creamy, and was great. The Caesar salad was not good, really. It just had very little flavor and tasted almost like plain lettuce. It could use grated cheese and grated pepper. If you have Caesar salad on your menu really guys, invest in $4 pepper grinders for the tables, if not a couple server grinders. The little salt & pepper matching glass sprinkle things arent cutting it. Hot sauce would be cool too. Not bad overall, the jazz was FANTASTIC. I heard it while I was walking by and changed my plans, had a drink and dinner there, instead. Live jazz is really what makes this place stand out from the three other restaurants within 50 feet. I never would have glanced at it otherwise but Im definitely going back tonight.
French onion soup special was very tasty, served hot and delicious. French burger medium rare did not disappoint, juicy and fresh. Great lunch spot! Covid friendly.
Fantastic little spot! The hamburger and fries was amazing and the bartenders were very friendly. Would absolutely stop in again.
Food was under cook for what I requested. Fries look old .only drink was amazin.aftee I stated eating notice the blood on my burger
I literally waited 40 minutes for a to go order of catfish in a half empty restaurant and watched other people eat in front of me waiting for a $15 sandwich…. And still had to pay for it. Never coming back
Great local spot. Love the shrimp salad, fresh cut fries and spiked apple cider!
Thnx for an amazing date night! service was always accessible & didnt feel rushed one bit! pardon me as i forgot the workers names but what a team! our drinks were brought BY the bartender to our table with each drink! while our server joined in on laughs throughout the night with us! food portions were perfect and not one issue with any other kitchen items.
The happy hour is reallyAmazing !! I got so much food/drinks and the mac and cheese was really good and everyone made sure we was good and comfortable.wing and burgers with a good happy hour making the everything under 100 !! You guys need to try it and its right off the train 1 train on 125 easy to get to. Thanks for having us.
Cozy place, tasty butter sweet French toast & yummy big omelette! Strawberry lemonade very sour but decent. Interested in coming back for happy hour 4-7pm everyday!
I used to love this place. The service was spot on, the food was good. I wish that was still the case. I went in with a group of 8 people for lunch. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and a coke. 40 minutes I received a barbecue chicken salad and my coke was still on the way. I had to eat quickly as I was there for lunch and had only an hour. In my last few bites, we asked for the check. My total was told to me and not shown, $26!! I pay it with a tip that was fair for the service only to find that the gratuity was already included as we were a “large party”.. we were not told this and everyone had given an additional tip. I will have to rethink coming here…
I remember coming here when I was in high school and this is my second time here 39 years later and let me tell you the wings and the cheese fries are so good. Even the drinks are so good and even strong Michael is such a nice person. And Jean is also a nice person. I will definitely be back for happy hour. 🤗🥂🍗
Great place, average prices, good selection of drinks. Happy Hour options are good
Highly recommend! I decided to try this place out based on the reviews and the menu. The menu is great! Nice variety of dishes to choose from. My partner and I arrived for brunch on the cusp of dinner service and they offered us both. We were acknowledged and welcomed right away to be seated. The restaurant has a nice open floor plan with lots of natural lighting. As amazing as the selections for the food was, the drink menu is equally as diverse! The food was absolutely delicious! Portions were great and our server offered great service to us. We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend.
We sat down inside at first and asked if we could move outside bc it was so hot the waitresss response was no bc theyre busy. After a few minutes we asked what seemed to be the manager and he sat us outside right away. After that we waited at least 29 mins minutes to have our drink order taken. But I will say the frozen margarita was good. After that over 35 mins to take our food order and at least 40 mins to make our burgers. The burger tasted like the last one left in a LI Barbecue and thats not a compliment. Maybe this place is for college students and gentrifiers bc its a hard pass for me!
From the outside looking in, I would have never imagined eating at this place (and I live right next door). I took a chance one day... And I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The service is great, the food is even better, the prices are perfect! They are clean, friendly and you dont have to wait 50 years for your order. They usually have specials, like a pasta night, or a pretty cool brunch. I Love this place. My last visit here, I waited for my food for what felt like an hour! (I was really hungry). Turns out, the system glitched and they didnt capture my order. The staff was very apologetic and they discounted my order 50%. Nevertheless, the food was great as always. Worth the wait!Good food√Weekday dinner√Brunch√Bar√TV/Sports√Affordable√
The burger was not really good, miss flavor and salt. The fries werent crispy but the sweet potato fries were good. Also their own ketchup was tasty.
My mom and I ate here when visiting New York, because we wanted to eat some burgers. We were pleasantly surprised by this little spot! The price is amazing for the quality and service, and the ambience was great too. The waitress was very nice and the service was quick. Some people here say that their salad was bland, which I guess would be true if you always eat your food with a lot of spices and sauces, but we personally liked that it was just seasoned with some oil and vinegar - much more natural and healthier than any other seasoning (especially being European and all). If youre in the area, make sure to check out this spot!
The food was really good. Loved the people. Our server was amazing.
Slowly becoming one of my favorite gems in the UWS. I sat at the bar the last few times I went. The crowd is always friendly, usually a bit older, though Ive seen college kids come when schools in session. The bartenders have always been very polite and fun to talk to. I drank a bit last night and remembered they served me water along with the last few drinks without even asking—something instinctive Im appreciative of because I didnt wake up with a hangover, haha. The Mexican burger is my recommendation, and they make a very good dirty martini!
Wanted to try something new, but was disappointed that the reviews didnt live up to the hype. Service was slow and never was even offered water. Ordered my burger medium and it was SO dry, like eating dry meatloaf, so crumbly and dry the patty fell apart. Ordered the alpine for the Swiss cheese and hardly even saw the cheese or tasted it. The cheese couldnt even keep it together bc there was hardly any. So many awesome reviews about the burgers, but unfortunately didnt deliver. I may try again, the staff was understanding of my disappointment... Dined alone and the burger took well over 30 minutes. (Maybe thats why my burger was overcooked?) Probably dont come if in a rush, kitchen is small and there are tons of tables. Fries and wine were good at least.
This staple, Morningside Heights neighborhood restaurant has been under new management and they’re doing an exceptional job. The day manager, Kevin, has really improved the bar’s craft beer draft list. I find it far superior than most trendy restaurants. Also, he has a super relaxed vibe and I’m always learning something new from him. After all, he is a proud graduate of UC Berkeley. And, Juan, the night manager, really cares about maintaining a high level of customer service, and he’s also fun to chat with. Further, the entire staff is very pleasant and will often engage you in a lighthearted, and sometimes in a deep, but worthwhile conversation (I’m thinking of Cody). Further, the food is excellent! I call it, “gourmet comfort food.” And the liquor selections and cocktails are also very, very good.
Enjoyed a really delicious and filling brunch with friends on a random Sunday. Walked right in around 12:30 with no wait! This place is such a neighborhood gem. Will be frequenting it often I presume!
Where do I start with this place? The burgers? Delicious. Order the Buffalo Chicken burger and thank me later. The drinks? Fantastic. New stuff every week with a heavy dose of local brews from around the city. The service? Attentive, friendly, and just all around great. My friends and I have used this place as our go to Tuesday night hang for 4 years running. Weve tried some other places, half the guys live in Brooklyn, and yet we just keep ending up here because its top notch.5 stars.
The food was good and the ambiance was nice until the server ignored us later in the evening and we felt forced out. The fries have some spice to them, reminding me of how people I knew in NC who like their fries a little hotter have them. My date and I were a bit irked by that but they seem like a decent neighborhood place; just dont violate the basics of not even asking if someone wants dessert & taking so long to bring the check your customers are thinking they could dine & dash with no trouble at all.
Good variety of burgers. Many delicious dinner entrees. A rotating selection of draft beers make this a popular watering hole to grab a pint. Staff is warm and friendly. This has become my go-to spot.
My wife and I came here for brunch. I got a French Toast Brioche and she had a grilled turkey sandwich. The food took an absurd amount of time to get to us, considering how empty the place was, and it all tasted fairly bland. There are definitely better spots for brunch that are actually worth the bill. We might try Toast Uptown again for happy hour (4-7pm), but I already have lowish expectations of the dinner menu there.
Great place close to Columbia. Love the homey vibe. The burger was delicious.
Decent eggs Benedict, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere for a brunch or happy hour.
Family vibe, Never had a bad dish or service...I go daily when Im in the city.
Split a reuben sandwich. The corned beef was out of this world.; tender, juicy and tasty. They have a good selection of draft beers and interesting cocktail. Breakfast all day and a brunch menu. Try the ketchup, no kidding.
Saw flies in the kitchen, they got half of our orders wrong, when they came back with the “fixed” plates, they were completely unchanged, the servers were rude and even cursed as we spoke to them, had to ask multiple times for just two cups of water, and then again for straws, and this was overall a horrendous experience. They also have almost none of the items as they do online. Never coming back
The staff was a little rude while seating our party. They made us stand when the restaurant wasnt full and we were only missing 1 person. The food was okay. Also, they made us get up and move because they forgot to mention they had a live band playing in the space where our tables were. So as soon as our food arrived, we had to move our plates over.... Annoying. That kind of ruined the evening. Most likely wouldnt come back for another try. Also, parking is terrible in the area.
If you are native to Morningside Heights or a student of Columbia…. Be warned this establishment does not welcome diversity and I will henceforth not be dining, drinking or ordering from Toast.
Whether you are brunching, lunching, or having dinner, this warm spot in Harlem will satisfy you. Friendly wait staff, great vibe, great menu - with GF friendly options.A great spot to bring an old friend to catch up. Right off the 1 train. One of my favorite places!
The Service was great, pleasant and Attentive. Brunch was excellent..French toast w/strawberry butter , Italian sausage, mixed greens and eggs. A go back to joint. 125th n Broadway. And a very Good Bloody Mary.
Went there with 4 adults and 3 teens for early dinner before a show at Riverside Church theatre. Very nieghborgood bar feel. Pub menu with some other comfort foods and a slight twist on the basics. Loved the place. Food was great. Matt our server was excellent. Timely, well priced, excellent food.
This local spot is very popular with the columbia crowd and locals alike!Their beer selection on tap is on bar with the best of them! The burger specials on Monday nights at 5$ with the purchase of a beer is a bargain! I love their brunch with oversized omelets ,strong Bloody Marys great French Toast and fresh salads. The atmosphere is friendly , local, and all inviting!
Everything here was flavorful and done to perfection. The staff was friendly and attentive, which was exceptional because there was only 2 service people available. Ooh and did I mention there is a happy hour EVERYDAY! If youre in the neighborhood stop in and treat yourself.
My first time here and I enjoyed everything! The food, the service, and the atmosphere!
Toast used to be one of our favorites. Then they discontinued the apple crisp and we boycotted for a while. Went back recently and it was just okay. Used to be so much better. Food was mediocre at best. Well give the downtown location another try one day, but if thats not good well be completely over toast
Always a great experience. Scott and Justin behind the bar are both great at making people feel welcome. The $9 Steak toast appetizer cant be beat. Most reliable place in the neighborhood in my opinion.
Not good, maybe its a great bar, but the food was aweful. As we approached the restaurant, the bus boy rushed in the door slamming in our face. Rude! He didnt held the door. He seemed busy up and down, in and out, the storage was outside heading towards the basement, but still, out of courtesy you hold a door, especially for a customer. The waitress was pleasant, but annoyed when I returned the onion soup. It was terrible. It seemed to have beer in it, and if it wasnt beer then it was old. My sons Cuban sandwich pork was hard and dry. My chicken sandwich had portobello mushrooms and red peppers, nothing else! The red pepper was old refrigerator tasting the mushrooms dont know because I hate mushrooms and the chicken was good, sandwich was cold, youd think it be hot. The only good thing on my plate was the sweet potato fries and my sons French fries. Overall the food sucks!! We took the food but we threw it in the garbage. People that goes for a burger or just drinking its probably great but to have a dinner, yuk! Maybe you have to be little tipsy to be able to enjoy that food. I sure didnt! No pictures because the food was not good enough to get my phones data.
A nice local spot to have great food and reasonable price drinks, the servers are pleasant and patient and it is overall a good calm setting
Great atmosphere and staff.I will come back for other dishes.New visit - dinner time.Food was great but wine was terrible. It’s unfortunate. I want to come back but I don’t think I will.
Have had many pleasant meals here. Quality & service always rate highly. With beers & cidar ranging $7 - 13 a glass, and a la carte menu hovering in the mid to upper $teens, dinner for two easily tops $50 before desert, tax & tip. No problem for Columbia rich kids, but overpriced for most of your neighbors.
Wonderful service. Staff was very kind and accommodating of our groups size. The atmosphere was nice and the temperature was comfortable on a hot and humid day. Would definitely recommend!
Went for dinner and drinks with my friend! We had the best girls night out. The food was awesome and the drinks were amazing! Our server Nice was GREAT!!!
Great atmosphere. They have super yummy salads, chicken fingers and grilled cheeses. Much more variety on menu, always pleased everyone. Nice friendly wait staff.
Very ok food. You cannot sit on the tables if you arent getting drinks even if its empty. There are definitely better places to eat at around. The best thing about this place is that it serves food late at night. Its a different menu but great anyway!
This place has a great draft beer selection with reasonable prices. They also have some ciders on the tab. Food was neat and delicious. Great brunch place to enjoy sunshine coming from window and nice atmosphere inside
Ive lived very close to this Toast for the last five years and go there mostly for brunch but also Dinner or drinks. I really love that they give the option to have salad or fries on the side of each meal. Best dinner is the grilled chicken sandwich, best brunch is absolutely the skirt steak or salmon anda egg combo. Both are marinated and so delicious.
Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and a brownie a la mode. Also the staff were really nice.
This is a spot where you can engage in conversation if you please, or sit quietly in your space. The crowd is a mixture of Columbia and MSM students and neighborhood residents. The beers constantly change and the food is good
Best brunch ever. Never disappoints. Great staff. Hipster vibe. Eggs Norway, French toast, and skirt steak are my favorites. I always have trouble picking just one.
I just received the most disgusting service ever from this place. My food came without the macaroni and cheese & without utensils to eat. I was put on hold and the manager came on the phone and told me that basically the hostess didnt include that in my order and that they dont normally deliver to where I am but the hostess is new and didnt know that. so basically, there was nothing he could do for me. On top of that I asked for ranch with my wings and received spoiled blue cheese and the delivery guy delivered my food without a pen and asked me to watch the food while he went downstairs and got a pen. Not to mention the food is TASTELESS. NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN.
I came on the Monday happy hour I always wings, they must of reffried like 3 times ,, it was hard and dry then I order French fries with pull pork oh they had so much fat on it was the worst I had from here nothing but fat!!!!!
Pretty good. The waitstaff was fast and friendly and prompt. Meatloaf was cold inside and had a cat food texture that was hard to ignore. Wings were okay. Will try again just other stuff.
I loved the food, connected with the servers, and there was a cute dog outside most of the time I was there, which is always a plus. I cant speak to how the bar is because Im underage but Im sure its great too.
Second time to this place. First time ive seen mauses , i thought that second time after long time maybe they took care of it. Well even worse, I guess the ppl there allowing and tgey perfectly know that inside the place ppl using drugs. Its a scare place to be. I had a lobster soup which wasnt fresh and had a food poisoning.
Like a warm hug!!
Me and my family really enjoy the burger options. Fresh made and taste great every time.
Id live here if I could. Good place to sit at the bar and have a drink, alone or with friends. But you can also bring your family. Its kind of perfect. Long may you run, Toast.
Toast is a great place to go for a drink and good food. The prices are normal for the region, and they have special offers each day of the week. The food is well served and the service is friendly.
Lamb burgerCheesey fries with pulled porkOMG
Salmon came out rare in the middle, and the manager got mad at the waitress because I didnt want the food .. he was scolding her in front of us as we ate our food so we could hear him and quit frankly he was being rude to us by saying we shouldve known how to order the fish .. he could have spoken to her in the back, and that would have been personal, but he insisted on telling her off, and basically I wouldnt recommend this place at all because of him and the food wasnt tasteful at all ..
Service and atmosphere were outstanding!Chicken wings were small, but tasted good.
Great place !! Incredible food, they never disappoint you with the quality! Amazing burgers, even when you do a take outReally good service, we love the place
Went to Toast for lunch; arrived at 1:15 pm, my order was taken at 1:47pm and the food was served at 2:15 pm. Service was extremely slow and mediocre.I ordered Chicken Penne Pasta, it was bland and flavorless.Truly disappointed.
The restaurant was amazing! We went for Brunch. I had a Beermosa for $7 and my friend had a Mimosa for $6. I ordered French Toast. It was very thick and fluffy. I initially thought the serving size was going to be small, but it ended up being more than I could eat. Service was prompt and our waitress checked in on us frequently.
A great place for brunch with friends, without breaking the bank. I had the Eggs Norway and it was delicious. There are several brunch beverage options to choose from as well.
Awesome experience on a Friday night, not too crowded, very kind and efficient walk-in service, amazing mozzarella sticks and generous drinks
The food was fantastic, everything was absolutely delicious 100% recommend.P.S. hot cider with your choice of liqueur equals amazing
The saddest avocado toast I’ve ever seen! Made with pre-packaged avocado and spread as thin as butter on a small, average tasting toast. The irony is in the name of the restaurant.
Good drinks and good happy hour. Didnt try the food but I will next time.
Love to go here for brunch when I went to Harlem. Delicious local spot i would always get the steak and eggs with a salad. I love how they marinate their steak
My husband and I have been going here since 2005 since our Freshman year of College. I love their brunch, Skirt Steak chopped salad and Margaritas!
Just popped in for my first time after moving to neighborhood. Very friendly bartender and reasonable food and late-night menu. A welcoming and calm place to wind up in.
The rosemary half chicken was tasty but the chicken breast was tough.Meetloaf is great, it literally melts in your mouth.
A very friendly pub with solid food and very good beer choices.
I had been waiting to visit this place. It was ok. The food was sub par . I like bar food so if Im saying it wasnt great believe it. Maybe it was the time. I would give it one more go to make sure it was just the one visit that sucked
I always order Chicken Caesar wrap I pay $4 for extra meat it wasnt enough
Really nice place. Good service and tasty food at a reasonable price. A little cramped, but not so much that it was uncomfortable. Overall a good experience would recommend.
We had a great time like in the past. Toast is a great place for traditional American treats.
Comfortable neighborhood place. Good consistent fare and drink. Regular specials on Mondays (Burgers) and Wednesdays (Pasta). Local staple.
We came on a Wednesday and had the pasta special- good value, nice atmosphere!
Went here with a few friends for happy hour. Margaritas were tasty. Ordered a salad that never came...
Great menu, great food, great service! The burgers are amazing and the mesclun salad is always treat.
Food was great service was very nice and helpful. Bison burger was amazing.
Excellent customer service. Comfy place for a quick bite. I had the cajun shrimp salad and that was mind blowin! Yummy
Worst burger Ive had in NYC; it was very dry, tasted like a premade patty.
Not sure if the place was understaffed, but the food and drinks took forever. Food was good when it made it to the table, but.... smh
Ample portions, friendly staff, good food, warm atmosphere, inexpensive - pretty much everything you need in a simple food joint.
I almost didnt have to wait to be served. The opener was very tasty, and the main course was very good and plentiful - I took my time ! I was sad when the moment came to leave.
The food was just alright. There are a ton of other brunch spots in the neighborhood with more interesting items on the menu that are executed more deliciously.
One of our favorite local joints over the years! Food is consistently good and friendly staff.
Friendly service, decent beer selection, and a select list of burgers, sandwiches, and other entrees. Come for the special on Monday evenings to get cheap beer and burgers.
Great service, nice selection of microbrews. The food was very good. Good portions
I love this place its quiet good music good energy good food and great vibe
The sweet beer was wonderful!!!!
I liked the 12oz ribe eye steak so much, it was so juicy and tasty, it took a bit long to prepare it and they gave me the steak knive like 10 min after they brought the food, but ultimately the food was great and the staff were well-mannered.
Went for Sunday brunch. Chill vibe and good food. Had not been in a while, better than I remembered.
Chill atmosphere, and the food is good. Nice place to chat, eat, and drink
Nice eclectic spot. Good beer list and I enjoyed the calamari! I recommend. =)
Great brunch, solid beer selection, amazing bloody mary. 10/10, would brunch again.
Good cheap joint to eat. Simple fair an okay date place. Burgers are solid.
Their bacon cheese fries are great and the bison burger was great its a place ill definitely visit again
The staff is great, the food is delicious, and its very nice for first dates, too😉.
This is a delicate little local, with folks popping in and out to have a nice pint and/or a very reasonably priced meal. I was there at lunch and then again at dinner. The lunch crowd had moms with push chairs, dads with pushchairs, older gentlemen their for a chat and couples there for at least a chat. Its diversity friendly but also just friendly, welcoming and place to enjoy life. My sons college is near by, its going to be a place I go to when I visit.
Food and drinks decent. It was very much a less diverse college crowd and live jazz couldve been longer.
Good tab beer selection, pretty decent menu with enough choices, the best is the service.
Rude workers, not worth walking in the door with Craftsman right next door
Toast holds a special spot in my heart. A childhood restaurant for my partner and a spot for multiple dates in the early stages of our relationship. The happy hour is solid and the drinks are strong and cheap. For food, I recommend getting multiple appetizers and sharing those, the chicken fingers are a must! Although it is out of the way, we make time to eat here every so often.
Very attentive staff. Delicious food and wines. Also, homey decor.
My husband and I have dined here before. Food never disappoints! We always enjoy it. TODAY WAS ANOTHER STORY..THE BARTENDER AND WAITRESS WAS OUTSIDE PETTING A DOG.THEN CAME BACK INSIDE AND KEPT SERVING FOOD AND DRINKS..Both did not wash their hands! YUCK!When our food was bought to us by the same bartender. I was totally grossed out! Then she had an attitude when I said something. I love dogs..but not in my food! Neither ever washed their hands after petting that dog outside. It was just nasty! Do better! We spent $100.00 for dog food!
Good sandwiches. Good entrees. A little crowded at times. Staff is nice.
Very overpriced90 dollars for 3 pitchers of beerRidiculous
Good food, good drinks, warm and friendly, especially if youre a regular.
Good food and atmosphere. Very little wait even when they were swamped.
Amazing food, attention and atmosphere excellent experience!!!
Delicious burgers and great customer service! Make sure to try their fries
Loved this bar. Our bartender Enna was so sweet, gave us her signature drink “the Paloma” which was delicious!! Would definitely come back again.
A place where u can cut the racism with a knife no one blacks works there or even feels allowed in this place great food but it should have a sign on the door that says whites only
Amazing steak great drinks great service cant ask for anything better
Highly recommend this little gem. Food is good and there is a great bear selection.
Nice place & quality food. They even held a corporate Xmas party...
They wont let you send your drink back if you dont like it. They force you to buy it. Make sure you order something you know youll like!
I’ve been here in person once in the dead of winter when the virus was still rampant. The mac and cheese was excellent.I order take out from here twice a month and order the same bacon cheeseburger and fries every time. The order looks and tastes the same every time. The meat is cooked as requested, the bacon is crispy and there’s a lot of it, the cheese sits between all the protein, and the buns are perfectly toasted and never arrive crushed or soggy. Everything is packed up neat and I can work on early heart failure in peace (thats a joke).Consistency counts. Neatest burgers in the neighborhood.
Plenty of beer options and a good food selection. Pretty good spot for groups
Shrimp and avocado salad excellent lots of shrimp and avocado, nice crisp lettuce lemon vinegarett dressing was bvery good
Such great hamburgers and attention
Food was delicious and reasonable prices.
%20 Large group quantity for 2 people?
Great and friendly bar, good place to grab a bite and a drink.
Great little place for a delicious lunch!
Great food and nice atmosphere. Family friendly.
Delicious food and drinks, sometimes you can get sides of steak!
Good food, good service decent beer selection!
Waiter was awesome!! Food was good.
I go here for Sunday brunch and its great food for cheap!
Enna the bartender made great drinks, great conversation! Highly recommend
Lovely spot!!! Our bartender Enna was amazing and so sweet, we ordered her paloma and it was YUMMMM
Perfect brunch spot and the drinks is great$30 mimosas jug you cant go wrong
Cajun shrimp avocado salad was terrific.
Nice little shop with great food and good cocktails. A great place to grab breakfast any time.
Cool staff big drinks satisfying food some tables too close together
Yum yum yummy to the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, the drinks are on point as well as the waitresses and waiters. I had a great experience here watching the game n eating some good old meatloaf n mash with my boo.
Good beer without. Being beer snobs... Kind Of pricey for some things
Nice place for quick lunch or breakfast. Burgers are ok.
Perfect for a Friday after-school gathering.
Not only do they not have a working phone number, their service is very horrible. They denied an entire party of 10+ who made reservations almost a month in advance. They offered no wait period or even an option to split the group to two different tables. Terrible service. 0/10 Do Not Recommend.
Best Burger I ate in NY and a nice selection of beer
Chill vibe good food and always good beer selection.
Great food however food service is too long
Love this place, and have never had a bad meal.
Great chicken grill salad. needs honey mustard dressing or zesty italian but alright with blasmic vinegarette.
Nice time good burgers enjoyed myself
Harlem staple for years, right b4 it became Hamilton Heights..
The food is always consistently good. I personally love their grilled salmon and rice pilaf - or, their chicken penne dish. The atmosphere is perfect for casual dining. And, the staff is wonderfully friendly. Oh, and in the summer time they make the greatest frozen slushy margaritas. Toast is definitely a family favorite.
The food is very good & so is the service.
One of the best and most unheralded burgers in the city.
Big Burgers, good drink. Whats not to love? Cheers
The beef burger is fantastic! However, chicken sandwich needs improvement.
Its fine. Not amazing, but not bad. Friendly service.
Juicy beef burger cooked exactly as requested (medium rare)
Great totally laid back and welcoming local restaurant and bar. Food is good drinks are good , staff is friendly and no worries here!! Love the Cajun shrimp appetizer and the entrées are really good, everything from salmon to burgers to pasta and steak...you cant go wrong!! Enjoy
Me and my family just ordered from here, food was very good and the employees are very friendly. 10/10 food the French toast was amazing and the burgers and wings were delicious. If you have kids this is the place to order, the menu is very accommodating to all ages.
The restaurant made a mistake on the total amount for the bill, but can’t figure it out unless we come over again even though we have already come back home.
Amazing food, cosy pub, great beer
Loved the food from this place. I hadnt eaten there in a long time and today I ate there with a colleague today and the same amazing quality to their food was the same like before as if nothing changed. Bless them for being a great staple in this neighborhood. I cant wait to go back.
College crowd, lotsa laughter. Decent prices nice atmosphere
This is a place to come back to several times over! It offers a wholesome spread, drinks galore and a nice, calm vibe. Nothing here is over the top. It’s brunch is so filling, you need to carry some home. The service is pleasant. Loved it!
Love the selection of draft beers they have at this place.
I love to go to Toast. The people who work there are above wonderful. Please and polite. The food is not fancy but whatever you order, whether it is breakfast, lunch, dinner or just s drink you will feel comfortable and welcome. And in addition to all that it is moderately priced. This is my go to place.
Great happy hour and specials of the day. The cajun shrimp is one of my favorites.
A crowd pleaser! This place never disappoints! I have been coming here for about 3 years. Now with the Pandemic, they have the outdoor seating available with plenty of space between tables, and they offer the take out option! For this visit, I ordered my food over the phone and pick it up on my way home. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing! (As always)
We were looking for a place to get a quick bite to eat and found at Toast Uptown. They were very accommodating for my wife allergies - they knew what was in every dish and sauce including the spices. My burger was was just right and tasty. My fries were some of the best I’ve had. The service was good and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food. If we are in that area again, we will definitely be back.
A lot of beers friendly staff reasonable prices
The waitress service me the order. Its small however the staff is rude impatient . Eat somewhere else
Food was basic and it was overpriced. Menu is really limited
Best Cubano sandwich in the area.It doesnt make sense that this place should have better than all the other options around but it does. Youd think they have a Miami Cuban cook. Trust me. Order the Cubano, improve your life.
Great food and great beer choices.
LUDRICROUS pricing. $15 for 3 eggs and a premade side salad? I want what these people are smoking. Wasnt even good.
Good Mexican burger, great beer selection
Great menu! Nice servers. We went for lunch and enjoyed our meal.
Reception was very rude, didn’t get the food we asked for
What a delightful, neighborhood place! Its the perfect place to have a burger and a beer and relax...The menu is comfort-food heavy, but in a modern, interesting way. I had a bison burger on English muffin, and it was -- legitimately -- one of the best burgers Ive had in a long time.Toast could easily become a weeknight ritual...
This place has the BEST eggwich! And the service is great! I will definitely be going there again!
Toast Uptown is a great place for drinks, food and service. I go there also in the weekend for brunch but here is the down fall, there so call home fries are deep fries potatoes and they are extremely horrible. When u offer home fries Im expecting potatoes on the grill nice and soft with peppers, onions and a little seasoning. If the owner of toast read this please make that happened.
Love John, Kimali and the rest of the team there. Always go here when I get back home.
They have the best menu in Harlem. Their chicken basil mushrooms penne is my favorite meal! Delicious! The service is great and has a friendly atmosphere! The restaurant is clean and they take precautions with seating.
Just left this place. We came in and took the window table. Waiter gives us cards, smirks, and separates the two small tables. Then he wants to accommodate a party of five with our table and wants us to move to a table right under the TV, although there were plenty of other tables for them to choose from. We got up and left. Oh, loss for them. We came to eat well and enjoy a couple of beers. And, we are extremely good tippers! Now we take our business somewhere else where we feel appreciated as guests!
9 of us walked in early on a Saturday night. The staff quickly pulled together a few tables. We ordered, and the meals came out quickly. Meals were good, hot and delicious l.
Great local spot in Harlem. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable. The bartenders are super nice and know you by name after a while. Great American cuisine like juicy burgers, flavorful buffalo wings, etc. The drinks are good too. Cocktails are tasty and strong.
